Buy this app. This app is to die for. My essential ferry tool

No point for $1.99. Vashon route: This app doesn’t even adjust real time delays and arrivals. Might as well just use vessel watch and see the normal schedule. Should be free.

Love it but please persist routes. The app is fantastic but most of us ferry users travel the same single route. Please consider letting mark one as a favorite so that we don’t have to specify the route on every use. Five stars once that show up!

Significant decrease in accuracy of wait times and updates. This used to be a fairly accurate app (within 1 ferry) but this summer the warning for prolonged wait times are rarely accurate and the app is very slow or fails to update car spots left.

Adapt widget to help islanders. It would be so much more helpful if the widget allowed the user to choose one ferry, and brought up the schedule for that ferry only depending on what side they were on. It is not helpful for me to see the loading times for each ferry I drive by, because I am headed for one ferry. It would also be helpful if it always showed the ferry times and not arrival suggestions (the peak hours notes instead of boat times).

Wish it were better. App has a couple of design flaws: it hides schedule info for ferries in the past. Unfortunately, ferries aren't always on time so this flaw makes it impossible to see what time the previous ferry was supposed to have arrived on a given day. And, rather than downloading the data to your device, it seems to continually poll the server as you page through the app so you're always waiting for data to be fetched.

Excellent app - hard to see previous departures. Love the line counts, camera views, and the boats map. It also seems to be accurate for holidays which is not the case with other apps. It would be nice to grey out previous sailing times rather than delete them from view. During the week, the schedule is always the same, and if all the ferry times were displayed (but greyed out if they have already happened) you could see what boat to catch tomorrow, without having to change days.

Outstanding service. This app is fabulous. Downloaded it in different time zone. It wouldn't bring up today's schedule. Contacted Durbinware not expecting anything. Not only did Mark get back to me within an hour, after a couple of questions, he figured out that it was a bug in the app. He told me a workaround. Two weeks later he wrote to tell me that he'd fixed the bug and a new version was available to download. Fabulous! Never expected service like that. Program now works perfectly on iPhone and iPad. Support them. It's a great app and they're amazingly responsive.

Easy to use!. Love the Apple Watch app!

No longer accurate. Does not reflect the schedule changes to the schedule in Jan 2018 for the Bainbridge routes such as 6:10 am not 6:20 departure. Wrote to the developer. No reply.

NW Ferry app. This app is indispensable to anyone who takes one of ferries on a regular basis. Besides the schedules, it also gives real time ferry positions, which are essential during tourist season.

Misleading at best.. I have been using the WSDOT app for years and am perfectly happy with it. However I want a Home Screen widget, which this app claims to have (see last photo.) Alas there is no Home Screen widget. I will seek a refund.

Terrible. Very minimal implementation. No color highlighting of the next ferry, no easy way to reverse a route. No map display of current vessel positions. No indication of which vessel is running at each time (size of boat is useful info when timing arrival to the terminal). Tons of wasted white space on the screen. No position (GPS) aware auto choosing of routes. (other ferry app needs this feature too) About the only thing it does better than the other ferry schedule app is it has no banner ads.

Useful. I bought this app after my old ferry tracker became unsupported. This seems to be working very well with good access to the schedule, reversible routes, route alerts and dock cams. There are one or two things that would make it better: 1: List the whole day's schedule instead of just the future. If you arrive at a terminal and the boats are running late, it is much easier to figure out what's going on if you can see when the previous sailings were supposed to have left. 2: To really knock it out of the park, include a ticket look up feature with a scanner.

Unreliable data. The reporting of space available on the Seattle to Bainbridge route has been significantly wrong over the last few months and the alerts don’t seem to be timely either. Not sure what’s changed, but their output data is unreliable

Reliable. I appreciate this app at least showing what the schedule “would” or “should” be, if all goes to plan. WSF app is somewhat futile.

Does what I need. Handy when you are rushing for the next boat!

Very Handy Little App!. Though it does many of the same things you can find on the WSDOT App, NW Ferries does it more elegantly and is focused just on ferries. It shows the next available boat so you don't have to worry about looking at the wrong place, which commonly happens with the standard ferry schedules. This App also shows which boats are where, which can be important if you are traveling at a busy time. And of course, the very important ferry-line cams are available as well.

Super functional!. Really straightforward interface to get immediate info on the schedules, fares, videos and alerts of any ferry, any terminal. WAY faster/easier than going online. Love the multiple camera shots of terminals and wait lines, and the alert badges that show up for any wsdot alerts pertinent to each ferry/terminal.

Nothing special. all the same i do us available for free on the WADOT app and website, and this costs $? somehow I missed that and paid $2 for nothing. thumbs down.

Better than WSDOT App. Great app, cheap and I prefer it over the WSDOT APP.

Cameras. Get your cameras updated! The Seattle side has been down for weeks yet if you go to WSDOT app, they work fine!

Incomplete. Doesn't allow a view of the entire ferry schedule for planning purposes

Just a little short of expectation. I like this app and find it useful. It does not get a 5, however, because it lacks some two important features: 1) It should show estimated times of arrival for the various sailings. AT LEAST, show the estimated times in route. This is a glaring error and, as I do not frequent the ferries other than occasionally, I have to eventually go to the web site to find this. Maybe it is in the app and I just can't find it. 2) There is nothing explaining what "drive up" meant; I had to go to the creator's web site to find what that was in the video. There should be some kind of minimal help or better labeling. Regardless, the app is good and useful. It could be wonderful with these improvements! aps.

Pretty good. Very useful app if you live on Bainbridge island or anywhere else that you need to take a ferry. Cons: a bit slow and crashes sometimes. THIS APP HAS GOTTEN BETER WITH AGE.

Fantastic App!!. This app is wonderful!! I just love it and use it all the time!! It's the only app that I know of that gives you the fares for all routes and all types of different tickets!! It is very, very user friendly and gives me all the info I need when going to catch a ferry!! I highly recommend it!!

Bummer. I bought this app so i could see the number of spots available on the next ferry. And the app doesn't show it. (Photo showed it did when i purchased it.)I wrote to developer and never heard back. Ive gone back to my WSDOT app.

Reporting of Available Spaces is Totally Inaccurate. This review applies to the Bainbridge/Seattle run. The reporting of the available spaces was accurate for a long time but over the last few months it has been really bad. It over reports available spots on the Bainbridge side and under reports available spots on the Seattle side. Some of this my be due to the games they need to play with parking due to construction but it’s pretty consistently wrong. All of the other information is useful and accurate.

Whatever. Chaotic, incoherent,random changes. Pointless, ineffective “innovations” that serve no tangible purpose. Indifferent service, delays and misdirections liberally applied to no tangible benefit to anybody.

Best ferry App. Accurate and easy to use. Live that you can see how many cars are in line for the Pt. Defiance to Tahlequah run. Super helpful!

Review pop ups are a pain.. Rating pop ups are a pain when you are in a hurry. App is fine except that.

Useful app. I love this app as a daily commuter from Kingston to Edmonds this app saves me time and numerous headaches!

Why Not Display Sailing/Arrival Times?. NW Ferries is a basic departure time app, and that is all there is, nothing more. So, is it useful for anything beyond that? Like, whenever the ferry is expected to arrive at the destination? No. That kind of omission is offensive, really.

Horrible.. Thus app is not accurate whatsoever, when you can’t distinguish the numbers 0 & 36 you should not be providing information to the public. I depended on this app as I am an avid ferry user daily. How many countless times I could analyze this apps information with arrival time and coordination only to have me sit at the dock an hour longer more times then I’ve tracked. I would not recommend this application to anybody, for those that find success with it congratulations, however I will be reporting this app to the agencies and let them handle it. Thanks again

Use it all the time. I have been using this app for about two years and I live by it. Everyone who comes to visit us has downloaded it too. I love that you can look at the ferry terminal and the car clicker is pretty slick. It's never given me bad information and it has never not been available. Very reliable tool for ferry commuters .

Flawless. I’ve used this app for years. I has always met my needs. Fast, clear, and concise; what’s not to like?

Works nice.. Nice interface and whatnot. Needs the ability to make reservations from the app since you can view the number available.

Super accurate and easy to use. This application is awesome! As a frequent passenger of the NW ferry system it's essential for me to have a user friendly scheduling application so I can get to and from Seattle on time. This application is simple to use, free from annoying ads and cheaper than the competing apps in the store. I highly recommend it!

Essential & easy. Easy to use and absolutely essential for me - a Bainbridge Islander in the Pacific Northwest. I'm back and forth across the Sound all the time and this is one of my go-to apps (this and Maps and Uber)!

Just what I needed!. This app is simple, easy to use, up to date, which makes it awesome! I'm a pastor that does lots of weddings around the sound and I'm always trying to figure out the ferry schedule. This always has it and on top of it you can see how the line up is with the camera always refreshing. I totally recommend this app the $2 will save you tons of time!

This is required for ferry users. You really need this if you use the ferry especially on weekends. My main complaint is that the alerts are not time stamped. You cannot tell when a 1 hour wait time was posted or if it is over.

Be useful. Update the actual expected time ferry’s are departing from the dock when they’re behind schedule.

Thankful for reservations. Always using ferry service from Pt. Townsend to Coupville, I am so glad I can make reservations as it’s a long way to drive to Kingston , where there are usually long wait lines. Driving to Anacortes only makes sense to take the run from Pt. Townsend. Also thankful there are alerts on ferry app.

Unreliable schedules. With the shortage of crew impacting ferry schedules, you MUST check on line and not rely on the app for now so you don’t miss the boat!!

Very Useful. Camera views very helpful. Schedules make traveling around Seattle much easier.

Works as advertised. Good app. Stable. Organized well and easy to use. The map feature, showing where ferries currently are, is a nice option. Worth the money.

Great Ferry App!. I've tried similar apps but by far this is the best!

Barely any functionality. No push notifications or offline browsing. Doesnt have any details about the ferry runs or a way to reverse the schedule. Why not? It's not that difficult. Would recommend the other wsf ferry app, it's way more full featured.

Currently Useless. I check this app almost daily to view the status and times of my ferry run. Frequently the app is offline or reporting a problem connecting to the WSF server. Seems the app was written then possibly abandoned.

Works sometimes but does not compare!!. Still does not compare to the competition. The schedule does not refresh from day to day. No reverse schedule without navigating all the way back to the departing terminals. What a pain. It still will not work offline! Many times I don't have an internet connection and this app does not have a schedule! Not good

Lacks Arrival Time. Easy to navigate to quickly find departure times. Lacks arrival time at destination terminal which is important for me. The free app from the state, though slower to load and less easy to navigate, provides this. I would not spend the money on this one and use the freebie.

Good app!. I read reviews of other apps similar to this one but I indeed like this one better. I like the schedule, the maps that tell you where the vessel is at and so on.

Works well and schedules match official site. I just did a comparison of schedules with the official site and they matched up perfectly. It's often difficult to read online and this app is something I've been waiting for! Love the camera views too. Its worth the $.99!

Needs arrival times too. It's better since they added the vehicle count, tho it doesn't always show up. Another improvement would be to have the arrival times.

NW Ferry. Good, but not perfect. I like being able to see where transponder-equipped vessels are, but there's a lag of 3-5 minutes between now and the location shown.

Essential yet puzzling. Super useful for islanders such as me, but why does the vessel map have Langley on Hat Island, instead of Whidbey Island?

Inaccurate redo!. SORRY. My first review is not right. I was comparing the app schedule to the 'fall' WSDOT ferry schedule by mistake. The app is RIGHT ON with the summer schedule. The fall schedule does not start until September 23! Sorry about the goof on my part!

Alright 'half the time'. I'm a bit shocked that the app doesn't show arrival time or at least crossing time for each route! Makes it hard to decide which boat to shoot for if you need to be somewhere by a certain time.

Functional. The app is simple and functional. One nit, you only get to pick departure and arrival terminals. Just that won't tell you which route is a puddle jumper, or which direct. Important info if sailing to the San Juans.

Surprisingly good. I have other various traffic and transportation type apps so was not expecting awesomeness with this one but i was pleasanly surprised. It is useful and thoughtfully designed. I would guess that the developer actually takes the ferry.

Pretty Good.... This app is pretty good, but I wish it worked without an Internet connection. I use it on my iPod touch and it is useless when I am headed to the ferry. At a minimum the description of the app should inform people that an Internet connection is required.

Clinton Ferry. My wife,family,and friends call me at home; Whidbey Island, and ask me to check the ferry lines with your cameras. Your cameras make it possible to judge how long they need to wait. We love the service. Tucker

Wish it was better. I really hoped that this app was better yet than the last one that I owned which is no longer available. I guess I will have to go with the more expensive app.

Doesn't start. App crashes before starting. Have to launch it 4-5 times before it finally starts. Works well after that. Intuitive and sensible little app.

Please support more than 1 close terminal. Pleeeease support the 2 closest terminals or allow the 2 terminals shown in the Notification Center widget to be custom picked. Pleeeease. Same with the 3D Touch shortcut I live in Seattle and need to get to Port Ludlow. I quickly need to know the 2 upcoming ferry times for Both the Seattle and Edmonds ferry and then when returning home need to know the Bainbridge Island and Kingston times.

GREAT!!!!. This app rocks, it has every tool you need to navigate the WA State ferry system. There is nothing more useful on this app than the time schedule, I am constantly wondering what time the ferry will leave and now I have a AMAZING, FAST AND EASY way to check that out!!!!!!

Needs 1 change. App does every thing I need it to do except display the complete schedule. I don't want the next available ferry, I want to look at the whole schedule. This is a particular problem if the boats are late and I can catch a ferry that isn't even listed as an option.
