Not reporting broading track information anymore. Love this app. Would give it 5 stars BUT for some reason the MBTA Rail App not posting “boarding track information” anymore. I’m using the newest iOS version from apple App Store. Using iPhone 12 max pro phone. And 5g for internet connection. I’m running iOS 17.2 I recently upgraded. Maybe this is why? I’m leaving south station. No trains a posting boarding track information. I take the Foxboro train. If that helps. Mark O

Be a commuter rail insider. This app is the perfect combination of schedule data and crowdsourced comments. If you want to know exactly what’s causing a delay, up to the minute, this is it. Also great for knowing what track a train is departing from way before it’s announced. But shh, don’t tell TOO many people!

The best app to keep track of an awful system!. If you have no choice but to ride the MBTA commuter rail system, don’t do it without this app!!!

App is still crashing on launch after latest update. Downloaded the latest update and the app it still crashing on launch. EDIT: Developer has since fixed and update. No longer crashes at startup.

Clunky but effective. I haven’t used this app in a while because of the pandemic, but one thing I noticed immediately is I couldn’t isolate my trains by incoming/outgoing. I really only care about the times inbound/outbound from two stops (home and work), so I would be nice if you could just enter your two stops and see all the possible times.

Now uses Google Maps.. The app switched from Apple Maps to Google Maps, which means now instead of protecting my privacy and using the native platform mapping, the application allows the world largest internet advertising company to track my activity and collect my usage data. No thanks. Please return Apple Maps.

No masks!. There are several people on the train not wearing masks and the conductor just walked by them without saying a word. Safety first?!

Parade ridership. This is absolutely unacceptable. Where are the extra train that were promised? And why the express train had to make all local stops when the train is filled to capacity and there is not even a standing room. In the morning people who were going to work were left on the platforms. I don’t think MBTA/Keolis can handle anything

Always get a head start. I literally check this before any commute, in or outbound. Knowing in advance how many cars, which track and what time is so worth the app fee. If the train looks like a disaster, work from home, don’t get stuck on a 3hr ride

Great app!. Gives you good intel on which platform your train is on or will be on. Also gives accurate info on how its running before the MBTA email gets to you.

No Longer Working for iOS 9. Fantastic app on my newer iOS 14 device, but my older iPhone running iOS 9 can no longer run it. The app crashes at the launch screen. Fresh iOS install and fresh app install.

Great app. Tells you where the train is and if it’s running late👌

Absolutely required if you plan to ride the T into Boston!. Awesome app. Absolutely required if your going to ride the T into Boston!

Amazing!. My only problem with it is that it doesn’t have any subways or busses. Otherwise it is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to know where their train is or for any train enthusiasts.

Better updates from actual riders. Trust this app over anything the MBTA tells you- a must-have for any commuter who uses the CR.

In love. This app is what i use daily. I wouldn’t be able to get on at a good time without this app. Highly recommended for Boston commuters.

Shaking my head. Where do I start Conductor rude Don’t accommodate bikes during rush hour They don’t board until almost time for train To depart. They Force everyone enter one or two door When train announce it’s fanatical crowded Of commuter being Hurd in. As mention one two door to exit out So commuter with baby carriage Crummier luggage bike all day over existing Our same doors. Always they force us to Put bike luggage baby stroller all same place that the hand cap and senior citizens sit Parcels all trying to exit out just the only two door they allow to you exit. So many more issue don’t have time to explain

An excellent app indeed. This is a most helpful app. Function is top notch and is reliable Understanding the data comes from the MBTA the app does a great job of presenting it!

Best app for seasoned commuter. If you commute in to Boston daily this app is for you. It can help you get a jump on the crowds boarding the trains at south station and confirms if your guess was correct after you’re on the train. Really well done. Community comments can get a little annoying but they are still more useful than not. Would be cool if you could implement a reddit comment rating system so the gold would flow to the top and the nonsense would drift down into obscurity, a feeling commuters can appreciate.

Broken edit box for reports. Been trying to edit my posts and for some reason, it’s not working on my end, however, others can edit and post whenever they’d like, but I have to wait until an hour before departure. Makes no sense as it defeats the purpose of the app. Please fix it to how it was before.

Excellent. Very polished and easy to use. This app has come a long way since it was first released.

Makes you into a commuting cyborg. This app has become the brains of my commute; I got to spend an extra five minutes playing Exapunks this morning since I could see my train was going to be late and I knew exactly where to stand for the double decker car so I could get a table. It has features not available from the MBTA API, such as train lateness trends, platform number likelihood (so you can decide where to stand in the station as you swig from that brown paper bag) and crowd-sourced reporting on timeliness and train car hygiene (“car number 2 smells like a squirrel died in a container of bad yogurt”). In summary, this app has earned its status as the only React Native app on my home screen. (Was going to deduct one star because no watchOS app yet, but then I remembered that using App Store reviews to coerce developers into adding pet features is a jank move.)

Great app overall, but I want a favorite tab across lines. It’s a great app to track the arrival time and boarding tracks for commuter rails. It also shows the history of timeliness/tracks and allows posting. I wish it shows a Favorite tab to show all trains/lines that I flagged as favorite instead of having to choose an individual line first in order to see my favorite train/time under that line.

Next station was missing -Fixed.. Next Station is now showing.. it was missing this morning. Great App..

Wonderful features!. I highly recommend. I deleted all of my other MBTA rail apps. You will not be disappointed.

A must have for any mbta commuter.. I really like the track history. That's new (to me at least)

Mixing crowdsourced intel with the T’s API. The combination of background from other riders and the MBTA’s own location data means this is the most useful tool for navigating the dysfunctions of a Commuter Rail commute, especially when things go pear-shaped as they so often do.

Huge time and frustration saver!. Rely on it daily to commute in/out Boston on commuter rail. Perfect blend of mbta’s public feed data and crowd sourced intel. Just when I think it’s perfect there are enhancements that make it better!

Accurate times. This app has been very helpful for my daughter getting to and from college. I would definitely recommend this app. 👍

Better than MBTA’s own app. The user interface, the functionality of this app is great. It’s much better than MBTA’s own app. Why they not buy this app and benefit all commuters?

More than just train times. Worth the $5. I used Google Maps to find out if my train was running late. (Put in you parking lot for the train station and it will display fairly accurate times.) However if the trains are really late Google is less accurate. The reason to pay for this app is both most up to date train info from MBTA and passenger comments. So someone on the train will report what the conductor said & whether the train is now running smoothly or going slow. If you are trying to decide to drive in or take a later train it’s very useful.

Great App - Super Helpful. Great app that helps you get to the correct track way before the track is announced. Highly recommend it.

One fix needed. This app is great, and I recommend. However, one update is needed. Train routes and comments disappear once a train is supposed to have arrived at its final destination. This means that if a train is 20 min delayed to its arrival at north station, one cannot comment for the last 20 mins that the train is in progress. This leaves people uninformed.

A must-have for Commuter railers. I would be lost without this app, and have significantly more gray hair. This app helps to alleviate some MBTA commuting stress. App has always been dead-on accurate (on Fitchburg trains) & has saved me from wasting countless hours of valuable time trying to cope with an outrageously inadequate, unreliable & sub-par Boston train system. A big THANK YOU to the app developer & to users who keep people informed & often laughing with their cheeky comments.

Promise falls short of delivery on location services. Even understanding that the MBTA Rail app relies on the MBTA’s GPS data, the latency or lag to real time can make one miss their train at worst and misinform at best. For example, both last night and this morning, my (agreed late) train was said per the app to be miles away when in fact it was arriving. Also the map feature falls behind the text location significantly, by miles, even with regular refreshing. It rather defeats the purpose. The MBTA-provided information, as useless as it usually is, was more accurate. Overall the app is useful, but the location portion should be what makes it stand out.

AMAZING. This app is amazing but some times isn’t correct and the tracker isn’t always reporting which is ehh but over all it’s great!

Terrible Service. I have been sitting on train in North Station for 35 min with no engineer. MBTA can not get their act together. If they had made proper announcements I could have moved to a different train line and made my appointment. Someone needs to take over the system. Terrible service.

Boarding info not showing. Issue has since been fixed - 5 stars because I love this app! For the last couple of days the “boarding on track” info hasn’t been showing. Is this an app glitch or an MBTA issue? If it’s app-related, can you fix it? This app is my lifeline!

Shills for Eng & the T. This app is shill for the T and is responding to inside pressure from them to censor any disparaging comments in a desperate last gasp to save itself. They try to demonstrate daylight between themselves but T insiders say very differently. The terms they are trying to shove down people’s throats are nothing more than first amendment suppression.

What a champ. Whoever (or whatever team) went ahead to make this, put a huge amount of upfront effort in to make people’s everyday lives better. It seems like a small thing but spread over thousands of commuters that check this app a couple times per work day, it makes a such a massive impact. Little things like knowing what the train layout is or when you need to leave your house make the everyday commute so much better Virtual fist bump to that team Shout out to all those people who post to the community every day with train layouts and updates🙌 Feedback: Allow to sort by departure time from chosen destination please

Excellent app. Love the favorites, history, and comments. Well done.

Inaccurate. The train isn’t marked late until it’s already supposed to be picking you up! I’m standing ankle deep in a pile of snow waiting for a train that’s 30 minutes behind schedule! If the train is going to be late they know it well before the pick up time arrives. Let people know so they can plan accordingly.

Best app ever…. My wife and I Love this app! It provides the most accurate and up-to-date information in a format that easy to read and understand. We have other apps, but this is our primary! Keep up the good work!

Great App for MBTA Commuter Rail Riders!. I’ve had this app for a couple of years. Nice aggregation of schedule and gps info. The messaging feature is a lifesaver—riders on the train can post updates (and pithy commentary) for other riders, and this info is often better and more timely than the MBTA updates. I also appreciate that the devs do a good job of rolling out new features. For example, they just incorporated a pdf view of schedules. It’s a small add, but makes it easier to plan your trip with the app.

Wow! All the info I need!. I was very pleasantly surprised by everything this app has to offer! It has a great interface that clearly shows each trains' status, real time GPS info, and best of all, the ability for passengers to post updates and communicate. This is especially helpful when passengers on a delayed train can inform those of us waiting on the platform about why the train hasn't arrived. Well worth the purchase!

Makes riding the rails much better (and funnier). The alerts and location tracking already makes this a world-class app but the community that has been created because of the app is what truly sets this apart. Having first-hand information as to why a train is delayed is truly a god-send and has saved my commute quite a few times in the 4 months I’ve had this app. Bravo!

The best commuter rail app!. I just started taking the commuter rail and this app has saved me so much time and frustration. Not only does it surface delays so I don’t wait outside on the track, but the Reporting feature allows passengers to share real-time updates on specific trains. This morning there was a long delay due to a disabled train, but a “mystery train” showed up and was running 5 minutes ahead. Was able to track that status through other passengers and actually get a window seat. To the developer, I’d love the ability to sort or filter by inbound/outbound trains, since I’m only ever looking at one direction.

This is great. I can’t live without this app. A com imitation of valuable up to date data and a social media add on to talk with other riders. Give it a try. I promise you will love it.

Bad customer service. The commuter rail is scheduled extremely unfair to those who are the furthest away from the city. These people pay the most, have long commutes and less trains than people who live closer to Boston and have other options for public transportation. Changes need to be made.

Best App out there!. It is my go to app for commuting with great crowd sourced information that is often more timely and accurate than the official MBTA alerts. I also appreciate the moderators for handling posters who dominate or become too aggressive with other commenters. A recent addition of avatars lets you identify who is reliable and who isn’t. Keep up the good work!

Not helpful. App is not helpful. Can’t find arrival and departure times for specific stop. Ex. Hyde Park times. Doesn’t give specific lines.

Great app.. This is the app that most of us commuter rail employees use.

Best commuter rail app around. I've tried several of the commuter rail apps, and this one is the best. Simple to use, info is clearly organized, and well maintained. Love the feature that shows likely track based on historical data. And the community input feature has saved me on bad weather days. Thanks for a great app!

New app. It is too complicated.

Real time. It’s not real time even in the slightest

Indispensable. This app takes away some of the pain of riding the commuter rail. It gives you so much important information, and so much faster than the MBTA. It's really indiespensable if you ride the commuter rail. Also big thanks to everyone who posts updates when their train is stopped. It's great to know what is going on when you're waiting for your train, and you don't get an MBTA alert for another half-hour.

Helpful app!. Is anyone also getting a error that says can’t connect to network? Then when I try to click app support it says bad gateway... Update: Thanks to the developer for his/her response—clearly the MBTA outage isn’t expected and glad there are safeguards in place now, I have adjusted my review.

This app rocks. Exactly what I needed - I head to North Station every workday in a rush. Knowing what's going on with the train I'm targeting and the next one (as a backup) is crucial. Crucial to my planning and peace of mind for that slightly frantic period that encapsulates an important piece of the "work/life balance" for me. This app gives me exactly the up-to-date train information I need in such a clear way. The perfect app for a very specific and critical aspect of my day!

Finally someone has done it right!. Found this app after struggling again to give my wife some near realtime info. I was able to install, learn, and text her what to do in 2 minutes. The next day she tried it out herself. It is a pleasure to use and getting the reason for delays is great.

Concerned. I’m sorry but I don’t like the track avatar. Loved this app until I saw that. I don’t know what purpose it serves other then to track us. I would recommend this being removed. Anonymous should be anonymous. Your tracking people comments.

Not connecting. Does not connect, even when connected to the internet.

Don’t waste your dollar. Very cumbersome screen. Not intuitive at all. Much worse that MBTA website.

Can be much much better. This whole Mbta system is running on life support. There is always some issue

Commuter's best friend. Given the wonky state of the Commuter Rail, this app has been a godsend for figuring out my transit options. Would love the ability to pin my favorite trains to an initial view so I don't need to drill into my line and my trains every time I open the app and save me some time. Fire some notifications if my train is later than usual and I'd be thrilled.

Track #. Why can’t they just tell us? Same trains, same time, every day.

horrible. it continually says i have no network yet every other app works just fine.

Was good but now it’s not!. The app used to be useful but now the developer just posts some train’s information but not others. Has stopped responding to emails. Daily Rider

App is not intuitive at all. Stop taking trains off the board that are not even close to Boston.

Nice! What Keolis should have done. Thanks for this great app. It great that you've integrated maps and report-style info. Would it be possible one day to store a trip and then calculate actual vs schedule times for that trip? Say, for example, my trip is a daily round trip to/from Boston and I'd like to know how many times and for many minutes my trip segments were delayed in a month or week. I'd be happy to pay for an app that does that. And what a great way to give feedback to the T.

Must have for Boston area commuter rail riders. Put simply. See your train status and location in way that makes sense. This includes your train location even plotted on map. Stop right next to my house. Traffic was bad, never ride rail... Let me check for new apps. download this. Amazing. My train was 40 minutes behind, MBTA sent backup out of closer stop, only ten minutes late. All in all a good morning.

This app is awesome. This app fills all the gaps in the MBTA systems for finding trains and seeing if they are on time.

Not accurate. It’s not accurate

Just charge for it. I wanted to trial this app; however, the user experience is non-existent without the monthly fee. It would best serve to make it wholly unavailable or provide a free trial. The current experience is frustrating and misleading.

Trains. This year the train schedule has been a bit better than last year. I am a frequent user on occasion there is a hiccup due to Mecanical/emergencies my suggestion would be to post this ahead of time on the platform monitors so that we are kept to b the loop. Another suggestion would be to send alerts to our mobile phones if we have the app.

Great App. I wish the MBTA worked half as well as this app

Not that useful. Can’t filter by direction. Doesn’t have track information. Just a big complaint gathering app.

It's the Best MBTA app out there. I have checked out a lot of MBTA apps and this one clearly is the best. (And much better than the official Kelois app) It provides real time information on where the train is and how late it might be. It's a clean and clear design. It also provides track information. It's certainly a keeper! I just wish it would provide alerts for your favorite trains status. Like: 5:30 to Wooster departing on track 3 on time or 508 train train to South station running 5 min late. That would be really great to be able to glance at your phone's lock screen and know the status.

Useful and simple. Great app for the regular commuter. Smooth and straightforward. Just remember the reports are crowd generated and the data is from MBTA!

Great commuter tool. I've been using this app for a couple of months and it's been great. I know where my train is and when it's going to get to the station. Particularly helpful as it gets colder. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because my favorites will randomly disappear. Otherwise great app.

Thought this was a saving grace. But I was wrong. Of course during yet another frigid day in Boston, I was counting on the app to keep me from freezing very long. The Franklin/495 listing showed it had problems reporting. Yet two stops just ahead of mine were light grey as opposed to dark. Although no times were shown “scheduled” or “predicted”. The comments are conflicting as someone mentioned they were in an ice box and the train hadn’t arrived in Norfolk while another wrote a few minutes later that it just left. So hedging this information I headed for the train and it was pulling out just as I arrived. And still the app shows no indication of movement. So glad I paid for this. The developers should offer a make good if they ever want to regain my trust.

Gps. Train drivers have the ability to turn off the gps when the train is late making the app essentially useless

So far, SO GOOD!. I've been using this app to monitor my daily commute from Westborough to Boston and back. I started using it the day after it came out. Simply put, it's pretty amazing! I didn't know this accurate of data existed. Keolis/MBTA has done such a poor job at getting accurate train info in the hands of passengers. This changes everything about the way I plan for, and react to both common schedules and inevitable delays alike. I don't understand why the app is free. My suggestion: after traction is made, offer a premium version because it's well worth it for the every-day commuter!

Poorly designed. Difficult to find correct trains or next train

Best MBTA commuter rail app. It consumes MBTA data so it’s on par with other apps there, but the rider updates are a great feature.

One of the best apps out there on MBTA. One of the best apps on MBTA commuter rail. The departed time is a little off by 3 min or so after the train departs. However you should be able to figure that out as the expected departed time is visible in the app. Other that , works like magic. Thanks Ramya

100%!. Solidly useful and well designed

Favourites gone. For a while this always had my favourites showing in the top section. Now everytime I open the app I have to reset my favourites because they have been deleted. This app is still very helpful, I just miss the feature that it always remembered my favourites.

A must-have for Boston commuters. The other day the 504 on the Framingham line was delayed by some 20 minutes. Lucky for me Java Jim's is near the station, so I went to get a coffee and out of the cold. Some of my fellow riders had the same idea, and we were all peering into our iPhones. Someone said, "I wish I knew if I have time for breakfast." I said, "The train's just pulling into Southborough, so probably maybe." Everyone wanted to know how I knew that, so I showed them this app: the realtime map, the schedules, the comments, and (my favorite) track percentages. This is my go to app for commuting. Every morning before I leave the house, I check in on the 504. I'm not happy when the train is late, but I sure like knowing I have time for coffee.

Stopped working. Ok, first off, this has been and I assume still, a great app. It is tied to trains’ reporting so, if they stopped reporting their location, there is nothing the developer can do. Blame the MBTA, not the developer or the app. However it stopped working two days ago without explanation or any other prior warning. Either an update went wrong or the developer just quit and relocated to another dimension. Whatever the cause, it harmed thousands of people relying the info. Bad part is, since it is a great app, many people started to trust/rely on that completely so any error that lasts this long is definitely causing problems more than one can anticipate.

Targeted purpose and superb result. No other choice to have and use every day. Have explored many and widely smiled when finding this one. Hope that enhancements don't spoil the scope and purpose of the app...I know the restaurants, etc. on my route. Tell all to get it and pay short change if needed...don't never add ads please, please!!!!

So dumb. It’s so stupid how you have to pay to find train times, to pay for a train ticket to ride the train. They just try to get every penny out of you

A lifesaver. My train is *always* late, so I really need this app. It is way more precise than the MBTA's text messages and lets me calculate just when I need to leave home or work to make it to the station on time. The ability for passengers to post messages like "just left North Station" is also very helpful. No more panicking or guesswork!

Makes taking the commuter rail less frustrating. This app is indispensable for my morning commute, with accurate real-time tracking, alerts and a layout that's easy to understand. More than worth the 99 cents.

Not user specific app. So many improvements require. It should filter trains which are not relevant from dashboard . This is close to free app. I still prefer mbta official app.

Stoughton/prov line. I've been riding the train out of attleboro everyday for 2 months and this app is perfect incase I'm running late or to figure out where the train is actually at, I don't use it for much else but the prov/stoughton line but it's a A+ in my book, even the day before thanks giving the train was running late so I just stayed in my car before getting on the platform, very helpful indeed

Waste of $0.99. The app doesn’t work for the Needham line.

Censors!!. These app folks don’t let me comment!! Sad. Did me dirty.

Greatness. This app is great it has helped me more times than I can count

Great app. Love the dashboard maps and track predict. History is great. App keeps getting better. One suggestion. Allow us to crowd source train configuration. This way over time you’ll be a database of it’s a 6 car train with 3 doubles 3 singles. The sets don’t change much so it should be accurate. Great app!!!!!

Good enough for me. Once a train is en route, this app is VERY helpful. Partially because it provides updated ETAs and partially because users frequently comment on it, letting you know of any delays. That said, I’m not sure the schedules are completely accurate, one trip was scheduled to start 10 minutes later in the app than in reality. For scheduled departure times, I’ve been using the MBTA site. I haven’t tried any other app. But between the MBTA site and this app, it has been good enough for me so far.
