This app isn't supposed to be live music; you can't make an iphone into a cymascope. this app is very good for what it is.

Scam. This app shows you pre recorded visuals! App is so trash, I’m not purchasing their actual cymatic devices anymore. I want a refund

Total scam. I never felt the need to write a review but THIS one needs it. $10 USD gets you absolutely nothing. The microphone doesn’t work. The recorder doesn’t work. Blatant lie, I’d like my money back.

Fun and beautiful!. This app does exactly what it says it does. It is a beautiful introduction to understanding Sound Made Visible using actual Cymaglyphs, created on a Cymascope. It’s fun to use and it is pure science. If you understand the mechanisms of sonic science and it’s healing properties, you’ll appreciate how cool it is.

Gorgeous patterns, deep results. This is a great way to see that 432 is better and 440. I also love how these designs look like the patterns stars emit. Makes one wonder. Is everything we see a frequency of sound?

Do not buy. Totally not worth it.. I thought this would be a good tool to show and explain sound therapy to my patients but it just does not work. Do not waste your time or money. I was referred to this app by a show on Gaia.

Cool but not as promised. You can’t not record y ohh ur voice and see the cymatics in effect

Not impressed. There is a microphone icon that made me believe I could sing or play into the app and it would respond to me. When I click the microphone icon it only plays random notes and does not respond to my voice or sound. Not impressed.

Not what advertised refund it’s a more less a trick. Please also either refund me or let me know this can actually make visuals of the sound I’m inputting another person also mentioned it’s a scam almost not what I expect not worth 10$ Please refund me

Groundbreaking App!. This is the only app I know of that can do this. Would love to see continuous updates, but overall this app is excellent and has massive potential.

Not really cymatics from mic.. Doesnt acually sample and display wave form of sound inputted on the mic. It just matches the tone and shows a waveform of that tone based on the keys of their keyboard. Also doenst pick up ssss sound or sounds made by air.

Beautiful & Fun. This is a great app for anyone who is interested in cymatic visualizations. I like how you can create images using your own sounds. While there's some consistency in functionality issues, I hope they continue to develop this app - as it is a lovely concept.

There is no live function. You can’t record/ see audio from your phones microphone, and that’s what I wanted to do, and just wasted $10

Super cool. This truly is a revolution in our understanding of music from the standpoint of vibrational frequency as the translation of everything. That includes of course the perception of image based upon photo-reception. Additionally, water the foundation of life provides the modicum necessary in order to visualize frequency. The discovery of the technology incorporated in this application is perhaps a testament to the deepest understanding of the fibers of reality. In terms of physics credence can be lent to string theory, or that all matter and energy share the common language of constantly vibrating particles. Pandora's Box is open now. May as well see what's inside

Awesome.. There are times when I just can't believe what people are developing for our phones, and this is one of them. The concept of Cymatics has been around for a while, but to be able to visualize sounds on your mobile device, it redefines our potential to unlock another dimension of our world. Imagine being able view a bird's song or the sound of ocean waves... the possibilities are endless.

Hope. I do hope they will revisit and add 441 hertz !

Cyma. Was really excited purchasing this app. Pretty pointless. Play button doesn’t work, cymatic images do not stay on the screen when playing. Also the record button on the piano - only purpose it has is so you can play the piano keys. Not a feel good app. Save your money. I want a refund.

Can’t record using my phones‘ screen recorder. I accepted that the app doesn’t have the ability to export video, but when I turn on my screen recorder, the app stops working. Like the other 1-star reviews, I think it’s overpriced for being an interactive video player.

A great start! :). First off- what an amazing concept and idea! In future updates, would be great to get proper octaves instead of the current limited range. Also, just a question, but is the 'source' of vibration also responsible for the cymatic image? In other words, if I play a middle c on the piano, would that have exactly the same image as me singing that same middle c pitch? What if two different people sang that same note? Would the image look different? How do you know from this app? Thanks and keep up the great work!

Bad developer. The app has not been updated and sounds crackle when you play the notes on the piano. The image of the cymascope is so low resolution you see graphics artifacts. Only if they bother to update the app for newer devices.

Science Rules!. This app is the coolest thing I currently have on my phone! I was captivated by cymatics, and having digital playback of an actual scientific instrument has been truly enriching to my life. I use it to show friends who have never heard of cymatics, but also to play my instrument to the microphone feature on the app and be able to see those sounds affect on water is truly incredible. Thank you!

Can I Get My Money Back?. The live music mic is a SCAM!!! I was really excited to use this app for live performances but was greatly disappointed to see that it is a hoax of pre-recorded images to notes similar to that which is being played. The transitions between notes don't make sense and are not consistent. Not sure why they would even put in the time to create this app...unless of course it was for my $10 😟 Again... Can I get my money back, please?

Very excited but now disappointed. I was very excited to download this app but after 5 minutes of use, it stopped functioning.

poor design, not-as-advertised, gimmick. as i suspected. a poorly designed app that just plays a video file (usually the wrong one) when it detects a pitch. For example, i whistle a B6 and it will play a video of pre-recorded cymatic graphics of a B4. A complete waste of 10 bucks. i also wonder why the piano roll takes up so much screen space when its the cymatic visual that is most important. could be a cool app with proper design and no gimmicks.

App Crashes When Opened. (IPhone X) I was excited to see this but it seems the app crashes immediately when opened. Any updates planned?

Doesn’t work. Screen not formatted correctly on iPhone X. The cymascope images are behind the piano keyboard where they cannot be seen. What a waste!

good for single tones. I should have read deeper into the description before I bought this. I've been waiting for a way to feed in audio and simulate cymatic graphs...thought this would be it. Just know that you can't do that with this app (since they are premade recordings). You also can't play chords. 3 stars because it works well for what it claims (although the microphone option was misleading). I think 9.99 was over priced for an interactive video player. That being said, the app looks cool, it's not glitchy and an interesting tool for visualizing individual tones. I hope this isn't a onetime post app and you will continue to develop this. If you could implement a cymatic generator that would be very useful for using this as a scientific tool. I believe there are some Python scripts available for doing so. Good start, you have a great name as well. If you could generate cymatic structures on the fly from programmed models you would have a revolutionary tool that could be applied to the entire scientific community for visualizing data and patterns. There are many people who would use this technology but the transition from analog to digital is a must.

CymaScope. This app never worked for me- I spent $9.99 and it would only loop a tutorial video. When I tried to stop the tutorial video, it would begin another video overlayed on that one with no ability to turn it off. I had to delete the app just to get it to stop playing. I would love to know how to get my money back.

Never worked. The doesn’t open and for some reason I cannot uninstall it

It’s pretty.. It’s pretty but without a visualization of - in the very least - dyads it’s somewhat pointless as a tool. Music is not a note ringing in isolation, and that’s what this offers: the visualization of individual notes. If the price was much lower it would be fair, but as it stands I feel kinda had. It’s a neat art project so I’ll begrudgingly give this three stars. But I would not have bought it had I known it was not polyphonic.

I like it. Really happy with the oscillation bing display. This app is very relevant to my education, I’m not going to criticise but I really hope this app will progress into much further depth in frequency. Do something with it

Average for the price it is. Would be good if it could record the actual images rather than just a screen shot of it. Would also be handy if it would allow screen recording for the visualisations
