Cannot use on 5G. This only works when using wifi and not on 5G mobile data. I have called (and had to wait for over half an hour before I got a customer service representative) about this, she promised it would be fixed because it was currently being worked on. That was over three months ago. Two updates later, nothing. Fix this and I would be happy to leave a four star review.

Doesn’t work. The app doesn’t. I can’t login and it just seems to hang.

Unusable. If I could give this 0 stars, I would. The tab bar at the bottom does not show any progress during screen transitions, if it happens at all. Most of the time, it’s frozen on a tab that tries to market cellular service by making it look like you can’t do anything unless you purchase a SIM card. The mobile web site is marginally better. I’ll be removing this app, since it’s unusable in this current release. Also, on the settings view, this error appears: null is not an object (evaluating 't.getHostNode') which is a terrible user experience, exposing internal errors in the UI. Hate to be judgmental, but as a former IOS developer, I wouldn’t release this as an alpha build, let alone to the App Store.

Very simple and straightforward. I have moved my whole family and friends to Belong (AU) since I first heard about the Company some years ago. Was I nervous about their App? No way because their website interface is user-friendly I knew their app would make a great bi-product. Telecommunication reviews are filled with frustrating people who just want an easy fix when often they often don’t understand the communication technology protocols. I love the simplicity this app provides, the dashboard (landing page) shows the relevant information of all your connected services and the remaining four actions are at the bottom of the app. I love the font, the support request’s chat conversation area. The Telstra network Belong offers is questionable (at times). I use to be with Boost mobile AU (also prepaid which boasted access to the very wide and reliable Telstra network) and my phone never had to go looking for reception - what I later discovered is that not all retail vendors have the same network access arrangements in their agreements with Service providers. My phone had a major update recently which could also be the cause because technology needs to keep up with other technology; there are so many variables, human comprehension being the most problematic of them all! I highly recommend this app it’s very easy to use and services all your needs if you understand what it is you want to do 😉

Poor Customer Service and Poor Network Quality. First there’s a strong chance they will mis understand your query, second they’ll essentially tell you any problems experienced are not a fault of there own and they will basically tell you to fix itself even when theirs might be the only service you’re currently having trouble making use of. No questions, no explanations or possible solutions. Just a great big middle finger.

Great service but app is needs a makeover. I haven’t had a problem so far with belong, it’s cheap and the customer service team are very helpful. The app however needs a serious makeover to get it into the 21st century, other then that I’m really happy with the service.

Slow and cheap. The app is slow and the self service system hast a lot of flaws. But it works. I never had problems making a call, sending a text or surf the net. All service enquires got resolved eventually. I understand ‘I get what I pay for’ and I’m happy with that. I had better customer service and a better app experience with my precious provider but also paid more. Data banking, data gifting and friend referrals make Belong my provider of choice (for now) I’m a happy customer since September 2018

Overdue customer will be punished. Once you accidentally overdue your monthly payment, you will be completely blocked out including repaying bills and creating support request. I discovered this at my emergent moment where I thought my overdue bill might be already automatically paid. So, I desperately needed to call, but none of the Belong app and the email and message portals they sent me work. I cannot even change password to login from the website. It took nearly two days to solve this issue when I had got more matters need to deal with. I even tried to speak with Telstra which is their service provider, they don’t help Belong customer.

Poor Service. I've been with belong for quiet sometime now, There service is poor, My internet restarts 1st of each month it was day 22 of the month and had not been able to use to wifi, Numerous phone calls to belong and had no help i kept getting taken in circles, They didn't send anyone out to check the signal service i kept getting told to reset the modem on each call with still no luck, They will say they will call me back days later i will receive a call, I was paying for a service i was not receiving what so ever, In the end i had to cancel my service with belong unfortunately after being given the run around, we have people in the house hold that were made to work from home due to the corona outbreak that has affected many people some were fortunate to get the opportunity to work from home Belong did not assist with getting the service working, I would never recommend Belong to anyone nor will i ever re connect with Belong.

Waste of money and time. Just venting my utter frustration about this bogus internet service provider company which is basically no value to the money. It’s been 29 days today that I got no internet at home. My previous internet provider intended to increase the monthly charge. I tried to be smart and switched to Belong and while I got an advance monthly charge for their service deducted from my bank account already, still no internet. They blame Telstra for faulty line and Telstra says it’s nothing wrong with the line, its “Belong’s” internal Authentication issue. When I ask for ending the contract, they threaten me with Early Termination Charge of $220/- (such a rip off) Long story short, stay away if you ever plan to opt for this kind of company.

Free call to international and cheap plan 👍👍👍. I like to the belong service , my family and friend using this service they are very happy. Network is very strong to using everywhere . I extremely recommend to using belong service to everyone batter then other network . 👍👍👍👍👍

Overall good service but no upfront payment option.. Only thing I don’t like they don’t have an option to pay your mobile upfront. I would like to pay for whole year or whenever I get pay instead of direct debit . It’s simple feature . Can you please add upfront payment option

Awesome service provider!. Customer service is good, I just contact them within the app they have a live chat and if outside the hours you send them a message and they reply the next day Signal is great never had any drop outs or issues / black spots Speed is fast, a speed test tells me it's faster than when I was on optus Yes Hotspot and mms but not voice mail instead if someone leaves a message it converts into text and text messages you The belong app is great that's where you manage your account and everything related The only bad (which isn't even a bad really) is at royal park my service drops to 3G Cannot fault belong at all yet definitely the best service provider so far and I've been with 5+ providers including optus & Vodafone Also the data banking / gifting is awesome You also get 15gb per month of data 9/10 would recommend.

Great service, great app! A little slow tho. Belong is awesome! Just cause app is a little slow. But their internet is great and it is a amazing service! It would be nice to see app improvements tho, as it does take up to a minute to load and sometimes doesn’t work. But other than that it is great! You can manage anything on the app from managing data usage to blocking sim and even gifting data! The app is very useful, it’s great! But it’s just a little slow and doesn’t always work. Hence rating 4/5, room for improvement.

Terrible app- slow and doesn’t load. This app is absolutely hopeless. It takes at least 30 seconds to a minute just to load the information on my account. And every second time it work load at all and comes up with an error. For a company that has no contact number his is pretty frustrating to say the least and it makes communicating with belong next to impossible. I would recommend to anyone. Maybe if there are no issues and my account is up and running things will be smooth but right now it’s a bit of a joke.

It’s alright 😐. I always wanted to see how much gigabytes I had and now I can!! People said that I used all my gigabytes to quickly but now I know I don’t. There is a problem though, it takes ages to load and normally it will say something like “error occurred.” Please fix this!!! Although it’s hard to get on I still find belong great. Internet works but I can't use the app.. My phone is an iPhone 5, so it's not an iOS 11, instead an iOS 10. The internet still works on my phone, but the update that makes it only on iOS 11, causes the app to not work. It just says,'Error! Try again later.', which means I can't see how many GB's of internet, change settings/preferences, or send internet to anyone.

Alright. On activation I did experience som difficulties that I have overcome myself, I requested help but there was no reply until 30 minute later with an email question the problem. There’s no live chat to help with this either but however I did overcome this myself. The app also takes time to load which is frustrating. I hope there will be some improvements on customer service

Dreadful customer service. To be fair, BB was connected swiftly and no problems there. Switching to the mobile service has still not been achieved. The app is poor, it just says oops something went wrong! The bloke on the other end of the phone couldn’t help as he just didn’t grasp what I was saying. The customer experience was really disappointing, trying to find information or even talk to someone was too difficult. I’m still with my original mobile provider. I’d give zero stars if I could!

Very happy. I switched a few months ago and am very happy with the service and 5G coverage. I loved the ability to go overseas and still receive SMS with security codes and make calls via Wi-Fi as if I was in Australia.

Great app // great service. Ported my number easily via the app. I bought a SIM pack from Officeworks and used the instructions on the card and the app. Very easy. Saving $ and very happy 👍😊 The app is very clear, no problem. Did a speed test and getting up to 100+ mBps 👍 Now going to change my home NBN WIFI service over to Belong. Maybe only unhappy people leave feedback coz the world has been overtaken by haters 🤔

DONT BOTHER USING!!. Seriously, I have had a pretty good experience so far with belong & I have been with them for almost 2years now. But this app is atrocious. I can say I have probably used it once in the time I have been with them & the fact it literally doesn't work! Sometimes it'll take what seems to be hours to load, at other times it doesn't load at all. & I've reinstalled it every time I've tried. It's atrocious. Easier logging in through mobile... Seriously. That's more convenient. Go figure

Simple easy and straight forward. Love belong internet!! Had my first issue today after 3yrs service with them and it was resolved quick and easy with one phone call… internet speeds are great price is great and quick and easy tech support when needed..

App/Website doesnt work.. The app and website will not display your account information or will have missing service features most of the time. It wont even load the tile that shows the amount of data you have left or the internet service you signed up for. Sometimes it gets stuck on the loading screen. Im signed with Belong mobile and internet. Reception isnt usually an issue but the functionality of the app/website is almost non existent.

Manage’s only one phone service!!. I’m mostly finding the app and service ok, however it will only allow a single phone service to be managed in the app! This is really frustrating when I am paying for multiple family member services and have to log in with different details for each phone service to manage them. I’m out of email addresses so I can’t port another service to Belong.

Latest update now mobile data slow. Last week I was using internet at usual speed in phone and got a text saying I was out of data. I went to open up for topup but it immediately went to latest update once complete I carried on to topup data - very strange as it said I still had just over 1gb. I topped up anyway and went back to my internet research I’d been doing. Slow slow slow takes forever to open google - video is completely out of the question. I’ve tried phoning and sent messages daily as we urgently need to get the speed back up for an urgent Telehealth video. So disappointing- been using almost 3 years without issue before this. That’s the only reason I’ve gone 3 stars for past performance.

App was working fine before it was updated. App used to load account normally when logging in with username/password, now ever since the most recent update you are forced to enter a contact number for MFA in order to access the app - this is annoying as not everyone prefers using mobile numbers for MFA - I prefer using an Authenticator app instead. Since the app is now unusable, the multiple services I already have with Belong I am reconsidering whether to retain them or move to another provider where things are not so confusing. Why update something if it doesn’t need updating. Who else would be attempting to access the app apart from the account holder? There is too much security attached to this app it is now Junk

The app that never works. The mobile app rarely loads, always error. And if it did work once in a million times try, it would take ages to load just 1 function. Wasted so much time on this just to check the data or simply update personal information. Even the Belong web page does not load, I do not understand, were you guys trying to scam or fool customers into paying more and not knowing what actually is going on with their account or what? Whats the point of having a service that does not load?

Beyond a joke. I understand companies can save money by becoming an online only company but at least have active support. I have been waiting 7 DAYS for a port in to come through and have had NO response from anyone. I keep getting told please wait 24-48 hours, I’ve waited far beyond that and still have had no help. My phone number currently has no service because my former provider accepted the port out but Belong hasn’t taken on the port in. So much regrets, I wish I never tried signing up with Belong.

DO NOT USE BELONG. Since you’re now reading a review for the belong app, it’s probably too late for you. You have probably already subscribed and entered into a plan. But if you haven’t, then I implore you to look for a different provider. This is not just one of the worst internet providers I have ever had, it is one of the worst COMPANIES, across all categories of service, I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. The internet: abysmal. Terrible speeds. Frequently fails. The hardware: the modem we were sent, after weeks of waiting, was broken. It took several more weeks to receive another. The customer service: somehow even worse than the actual product. There is no number to call. The only way to contact them is to send and email and hope/pray that their presumably untrained employees will see it and reply. A response within 3 days, by belong standards, is an absolute miracle. Take home message: if you haven’t already, DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO BELONG. this company is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. If it’s too late for you, then I feel immensely sorry for you and the months of misery you have ahead. Start looking into cancelation policies ASAP.

Where do u start. When it was first set up it was no frills and cheaper,the service was up and down, but fair anuff uget what u pay for but now the price goes up the service is still rubbish drop outs every day .did final get on to belong and what do u no it must be the modem let blame the customer,bulls,,,, if they spent the money they spend on advertising on improving the service or at less provide what was advertised but there green which make me feel warm inside there just Telstra so what do u expect I suppose.

Nothing Bad about BELONGing. Finally a company that offers great pricing and super fast NBN without any hassles and comes with a super helpful and kind customer service team. I’ve had no issues from the first call to get info about the company, all the way through my choice to sign up.. moved house.. I’ve done it all without a single glitch. Thanks 🙏🏼 Only suggestion is to have more payment options .. like BPay or options to pay weekly or fortnightly somehow! Would be handy for budgeting. Especially when bills come out on different days of the month so I never know when to have the money ready.

App doesn’t work, bunch of scam artists. I purchased a prepaid (or so I thought) SIM card from my local supermarket. It was only while trying to activate my service that it asked for my credit card information. Upon checking the packaging of the SIM card I bought, it only has that mentioned in tiny almost unreadable letters down the very bottom. In what world should I have to give my card details for a prepaid service? Whatever, I’ll just cancel it after the first month. Oh wait, I can’t do that because the app doesn’t work, and the only contact number goes to a robot with no option to cancel the account or speak to a real person. If I signed up online, I should be able to cancel online. I’ve tried contacting through the app, only to have my support request closed before I can reply due to the app barely working. This company is a scam, wouldn’t even think about using them. Absolute joke.

App is always weirdly slow. App takes ages to load, regardless of internet speed. I hate that it always auto recharges and would like an option to recharge just the phone and text when I have heaps of data in the bank. I like the addition of being able to refer people since I've referred multiple people but now that it's new I don't get the credit:(. Would like to activate referral through prepaid packs too. I like the new plan options, although you need a $5 unlimited text/calls, no data just your banked ones

Slowest app... ever. Every time you open the app, a carrier pigeon in the Belong office is released. It flies due south for 4 hours to the data usage warehouse. At the warehouse a worker feeds and pets the pigeon. Once the pigeon has rehydrated the worker writes a note detailing your data usage, ties it to the pigeons leg and releases it. The flight back is 5 hours due to a head wind. Unfortunately the pigeon arrives and 5:01pm and the Belong office has closed for the day. The next morning Belong staff spread some seeds to attract the late arriving pigeons from the previous night. They transcribe some of the data usage notes and post them back to the Belong app. Not all notes are legible due to rain overnight, so the pigeon handlers start the process to send the pigeon south again...

Horrible and useless. I been trying to contact belong for weeks now and no response has been received. all their online and phone call are declined. I would like to talk to some about my plan, I have moved to a different place and nothing on the website or app can help I tried what provided online but I asking me to start a new plan. And when i try to submit this to online complains they show it as an error so I tried other titles like technical problems but same goes as an error.

Poor excuse for an app. There’s a very good reason this app has such a low score. It has a very poor login feature. In fact you might say over secure as it makes it near impossible for Belong customers to login. Then there’s the dreadful customer service when you need help with such things. Edit: Response to Developer. No need to be patronising. I fully understand your legal requirements. Belong also has a responsibility to customers in that the services you provide (the app) are actually fit for purpose.

Belong is great!. As with most of the bad reviews I agree that the app is pretty useless. It loads incredibly slowly for some, and for others like me, it doesn't load anything at all. I've had so many issues when I joined Belong from Telstra, but when I contacted them for support, they were incredibly helpful. Had my issues resolved in 2 days(could've been 1 if I hadn't been busy at work). They're quick and helpful, and their data plans are amazing for value. 4/5 stars because I so want them to fix this app, once they do, 5/5!

Garbage. Absolute garbage and so is the so-called “service”. I’m still waiting just for my account to be set up and as I have no account I am a non- person to Belong. Every phone call gives me a recording which sends me back to the online help desk which doesn’t help as the chat button has disappeared and didn’t work when it was there. I’ve made some mistakes in my life but I am really really regretting this decision. Supposedly according to their blurb they care about us and we can actually call them if we have a problem! Yeah right.

Seamless. I cannot rate the Belong Service too highly. I have never had a problem and the online support is brilliant. You can ask to be called if you want to speak to their exceptionally helpful support staff. I have referred 5 friends who are also very happy. No porting issues whatsoever. I can’t understand why Belong attracts negative ratings. In my book it is faultless.

Pathetic customer service. While the NBN service is reliable and value for money the customer service is frustrating and inefficient. They have no incoming phone support so forget about talking to a real person. Not even a support chat service. Only email support is available and this can be extremely frustrating. My service fee was increased with only an email. When contacting customer retention they failed to get back to me. I’ve now left belong. Please consider carefully before signing up with them.

Excellent Value. I was apprehensive when i first moved to Belong over 2 years ago. I do not change providers without careful thought and research. Must say I am happier with this carrier than any other I have ever been with. The data is huge and rolls over so u.can bank a bucketload. Share ur data to ur friends on Belong. Great coverage and speedy internet as it uses the Telstra network. U can use the sim in any Telstra locked phone. Unlimited calls and texts within Australia. You can downgrade to a cheaper plan on a month by month basis if need to, with less data but still unlimited calls and texts, and still keep ur data bank. Im currently on the $10 per month plan as i have over 100 gig of data in my bank. Another bonus, if u dont have enough funds in ur bank when ur payment is due, Belong keeps tryi g for 7 days witthout any interruption to ur service. The app has left a little to be desired as its a bit slow and needs more features, and customer service was a headache on the one occasion ive needed it. But the positives far outweigh the negatives and i recommend Belong to all my friends.

Such a disappointment - avoid for mobile. What a frustrating company! I totally get that they are the jetstar of Telstra and therefore features and services are very minimal but seriously! If you have an app as the main way you want customers to manage their service including service request etc to save money then I think that’s a great idea. BUT MAKE IT WORK FOR GODS SAKE! When it does want to work I’m still waiting 2/5 minutes for it to load the dashboard. The past week it hasn’t loaded or it’s taken that long I’ve given up. Either way very poor effort. I would avoid for mobile service. Similar deals with much better service on the Telstra network like woolies. Also a mobile account you tend to utilise or monitor your account usually with an app. With belong that can become very tedious, time consuming and sometimes just impossible (errors). The nbn is ok but the lack of service sometimes is difficult. For example I tried to determine (and still haven’t been able to) how long it takes for a speed upgrade to take affect. They even have a support page on their app/website which HAS NO CONTENT 🙄. The only saving grace I think is that on an unlimited plan you don’t really need to monitor your service that often (unlike a mobile) so you won’t be using the app that often. App appalling. The way you “chat” for tech support appalling. The number they give you to call appalling (the message prompts just send you around and around and around without ever getting a person).

2023 Update Review. As a new customer, the app experience is smooth. Just a replication of the website on a app, nothing fancy or confusing, just you’re service, support and profile. Seeing reviews from like 3yrs ago it seems like belong has finally fixed their app from my experience, where there isn’t that long wait time for the dashboard to load up. (Pretty sure just upgrade your phone as older devices can’t handle new applications these days) Overall, a simple app to mainly see your service/plan and data. If Belong ever do have the chance to update the app even more to look like the Telstra app, I guess some customers will be satisfied.

App is lousy and unreliable. April 2019 - have been using the Belong app for over a month and have found it to be unacceptably slow and buggy. As a subsidiary to one of the largest companies in Australia, I would expect the performance and reliability of the app to be better. The Dashboard, when working, takes a long time to load. When it’s not working, you get a super unhelpful “There was an error processing your request”. User experience is unacceptable - I’m jumping ship to another network because of this.

Doesn’t work?. I’m a new customer to Belong, and a lot of the signing up and paper work directs me to this app. It doesn’t work? I log in but it just shows a white blank screen and doesn’t get progress further. It doesn’t show any of my information like the screenshots show, and the three buttons at the bottom (Internet, Mobile, Support) take me out of the app to Safari and go to the website. I’m quite disappointed already. I don’t understand the point of the app? I think this isn’t meant to happen? iPhone 7 Plus Latest iOS Version 15.2

Faultless experience. I recently got my belong simcard in the mail earlier than expected. Setting up was a breeze, very easy to use and to complete a port from Optus. Of course I kept my number. Everything was transferred and ported within 5 minutes. I have not had any issues with service whatsoever and my data has indeed rolled over! I just wanted to share my experience as it is good value for money. The app itself is simply perfect for my needs. I can see everything laid out and options are available. Like manage your account or payment. And of course, support when you need it. Thank you Belong.

Slowest app in the world. Belong is a great provider and the plans and service are great! Heaps of data, telstra towers phone coverage is the best we can get. App itself is a nice layout, shows what you need and is simple in design. Only problem and I can’t figure out why in 2019 this is still happening but it is possibly the slowest loading app ever created! If they fix the load speed it’ll be excellent

Happy customer. Not sure why there are so many horrid reviews because I’ve had nothing but great service. I get Telstra service for a great price per month, so much data to use and whatever I don’t use it rolls over to the next month. App is easy to use and all you need. Number ported over from Vodafone in a matter of minutes- no problems.

Not practical; too wordy; limiting. Wish Belong spent just as much money on their products and services than they did with their irrelevant TV ads. I downloaded this app for two primary reasons to: check usage; and contact customer service. Yet when I’m redirected by customer service back to the app, the app says to check an online account and wait for an SMS. If anyone with some sense reviewed this, they would discover that Belong is just making the existing customer go in circles. What happens when it’s been over 20 business days waiting for an SMS to simply tell me if my internet is connected to my new place?? The answer is NOTHING. They have more information to sign up and dreadfully nothing for their existing loyal customers. USELESS app.

Grace. I have to write this as, after reading all the awful reviews and deciding to give Belong a go anyway because of the value for money, I can honestly say I’m very pleasantly surprised! Changeover, including bringing in my own number, had started within seconds and completed within minutes. Totally seamless!! Best changeover experience ever!! App works fine, is very basic but that’s fine with me. One small complaint- you do have to login every time, it doesn’t remember you. And I can’t comment on customer service, not having needed it yet. After struggling with Telstra customer service (phone call accessible) over a long period of time due to constant issues with the service, I think that if Belong can just reliably provide me with calls, texts and data each month, I won’t be needing to email them 🌟

Horrible customer and wifi service. Honestly I would give it 0 stars if I could. I really don’t understand why there is a need to email belong before calling them. This is a huge inconvenience. Their service is absolutely horrible, personally my experience with Belong has been horrible, connection is constantly dropping out and even when they have “planned outages” they don’t even notify or give the customers a heads up making us call up and have to ask what’s wrong. When the wifi is out it’s out for days! I have been a customer for years and have become tired of their child’s play. Highly do not recommend, the pricing looks like a good deal but not worth a penny. Save your money and invest in a better provider.

Not the best service. Belong seems all good and well until you sign up, they are very delayed with assistance and support when you contact them. They used to have a phone number that you could call to discuss matters, but I’ve now taken that away you have to submit an inquiry via email and it takes them up to 24 hours plus to get back to you, they never got back to you in time and they never clear it’s always so confusing. Worst thing They could’ve done was take away the mobile/customer service part of it. As for the actual service it’s pretty basic I would suggest using Telstra directly instead of belong because I basically the same thing.

Eye roll. What’s the point of having an app that doesn’t work? Fix please

Nothing loads. Title says it all.. it takes about a minute for the app to display my remaining data. Once my free credit expires I’m opting out of belong ASAP! Get your act together and update your user interfaces if you want to keep customers.
