Awesome game. If the last thing you do before you die is play this game, it will have been a life well lived. The game is sure to provide you with top notch video game playing entertainment that will take up hours of your life and possibly even make you forget you even have a life for a few minutes here and there. You can literally lose yourself in this game, it's that good. It’s been a year since I last wrote this review and I am still playing. I have developed several very high level characters with incredible abilities like slowing down time and creating black holes. The battles are absolutely epic and incredibly satisfying, and can sometimes last for as long as 15-20 minutes. The last battle went on for almost an hour and I had to unleash everything I had to emerge victorious. It was quite thrilling. I hope the developers create a heroes and castles 3 that includes strategy, action, with an integrated RPG adventure story line that expands the open world and includes more races and classes.

This is the best game. I absolutely love this game it’s so fun and I love it so much I love this game so worth $2.00 !

Pay to win game. Cool for until you spend 6.00$ to upgrade and it’s not even close to enough to get anywhere!!

Amazing game. This is one of the best mobile games that I have ever played. Mobile games are usually cash grab nightmares, with constant ads playing. While this game does have in app purchases, it never feels like you need them to get ahead (*cough* EA *cough*)This game is so good that it could be on console or pc in my opinion, (with a little additional gameplay time). There is so much to say, from the cool skillbuilding tree, to the addicting troop management. There are only two parts of the game that I would change, but overall this game is amazing and definitely worth the buy if you like action/strategy games 1. Making the game more coustomizable would be great. You can’t change the appearance of your character or make them a woman. Same for the troops, a little coustomization would go a long way. 2. After you conquer all the outposts, the gameplay feels a little slow. You still have to constantly defend your outposts while not necessarily making great progress against the regular waves. More outposts &/or game play would be wonderful

Amazing game. I’ve played H&C 2 on and off for a few years, and I just have to say that people complaining about the difficulty obviously don’t grasp the concept of countering and role-based support units. Siege units are good at sieging (surprisingly) magic units are good for high defense enemies, and physical units clean up everything else. I know this is a dead game and nobody plays anymore but it’s good for playing offline and for playing against your friends over a LAN connection. Also the dwarf’s forge skill is OP. Thank me later.

iPhone 10 problem. The screen still does not fit I love your games. I’ve beaten the first game and it was amazing so if you see this I would love for you to fix it. If you fix it I will give you a 5 star. Please fix.

Good game. It's a great game with a lot of content. It's hard, but it's still fun

Great, except one thing. Heroes and castles 1 & 2 have both been my favorite game for many years, with much replay value. Only one thing has bugged me throughout the years, and it is the fact that the longer you take, the harder the enemies become, making me play the level over and over again, which isn’t that bad until the millionth time still not being able to beat the level. There are lands to conquer in between levels and memories to replay, but eventually you run out of gems to buy characters and the lands become much too difficult. This may just be my terrible skill, but the level getting harder makes it nearly impossible to beat it if you take make a single mistake.

Underrated mobile game. I really hope these guys make another one. I played the first and second version, they are simply fantastic. Tons of detail and it’s super fun. Spoiler alert though - the Dreadnaught unit is way too strong. I beat the last level with a level 32 character, by just making 6 of those units and keeping them alive as they destroyed the base.....still one of my most favorite mobile games of all time.

Please add updates!!! Great game!!. This game is one of the only games on the App Store that I have ever gotten truly lost in, it is a magnificent work of art and I would love to see some new updates to graphics, new units and even some different races to play as, thank you for making such an exciting game!

Great game. I have played this game for a year now and I still love it! Some say it is to hard and pay to play based but that is false. If you work hard at it and try it is fun. I only wish that they would update it and add more races or classes to add more. Even an option were you could play as the enemy like the first one would be GREAT!

Needs Balancing, otherwise great. The game is amazing, but it is in dire need of balance. The elf and dwarf heroes are utterly useless in comparison to the human ones. The human have perks of being able to siphon mana from other units through a spell, make other units immortal, buff other units, becoming invulnerable, etc. on the other hand the elf and dwarf heroes are utterly useless and die so easily. I’m not saying you should nerf the human hero, but you should definitely buff the other types. The elf and dwarf perk tree are horrible.

I have an idea for a new unit. You guys should make A cavalry unit it’s pretty much just a foot man with a spear on a horse it’s a like the knight but weaker how does it sound

Great Development team. Every time I’ve had an issue, even if minor, the development team quickly comes out with a fix without me having to email them

Perfect mobile game. This game is amazing! I totaly recommend it, it has so many things to do it just dosent get boring😉

Another P2W. Disappointment. It is clear at which wave the developers designed the difficulty of the game to spike up to encourage(read: forced) the player to buy in app purchases for crystals. As the game itself was already paid for, I was naive to think that the same cash grabbing mentality would not be present here but I was wrong. This game is just another P2W, and don’t bother wasting your money.

2018. Yep it’s 2018 and this game is still better than most mobile games. If by some magical reason you read this you guys should up date the graphic for it. And maybe the physics and what not. But I think the game is fun. Hard but fun

Too hard!!. This would be a fantastic game if it weren’t for the fact that it is extremely difficult. I been trying to level up in this game and I can’t even capture more that a few territories, 1 reason because of the constant attacks on your territories and very short amounts of time to defend so you are just constantly overwhelmed by the enemy. But the main reason is the sheer difficulty, way too many enemies at one time for an example 11/20 difficulty. And the enemies are too OP. First H&C way better.

Needs traps for the castle. This game is the best game I ever played but I’m stuck in level 10 so this amazing game needs traps that could be in the Castle Engineer, so there could be spike traps that would be like 9 crystals

Great Defense Game. If your looking for something to play online this isn’t it but if you want a good single player game look no further.

New updates needed. This game is awesome and alot of fun, but I would like more different things integrated into the game. For example, more weapons, skills, armor, troops, new enemies, etc... also, add different maps like mountains, actual swamps with murky water, and dragons.

Hoping for a 3rd game. I love this game it’s the only one I always come back too and keep on my phone for years now and I know it’s been a long time and nothing new related to this game has came out and other games are being made or updated i just want to say that a 3rd game of this would be great just a improved one of this one basically would be really cool. But I do understand if this game didn’t do well enough to keep it going and a third game is just not gunna happen but either way love and play a lot of the games you guys make it’s just this one is my favorite and for a while I hoped for a 3rd and I’m just kinda bummed out this game ended up being left behind and not continued in any way Just wanted to added I love the new graphics and fps update

Worth the $2. This game is a ton of fun. I’ve enjoyed playing each skill tree. The premium version is well worth it your characters will advance more quickly and you won’t have to watch the sketchy ads that occasionally crash the app. This game is not hard. There is no pay wall I was able to complete regular and hard mode without much difficulty. If your having trouble invest some points into paladins/captains they can do all of the regular mode themselves.

Siege mode!!!. I think to make heroes and castles better I think it would be awesome to add a siege mode because I really want to try out with all the cool new looking enemy’s in the game

Not downloading. It’s been trying to download for 2 days and no progress. I deleted it and tried re-installing it and it still doesn’t work. I paid two dollars for it and I want my money back

They updated it let’s go!. Love the new fps and graphics update, really is the icing on top! This game is crazy fun and has a lot to do in it!

Amazing game but strange premium choice. This game is incredible. 9 unique skill trees for 3 different heroes, a wide array of weapons, shields, armor, and runes to customize your characters, dozens of units to recruit or customize, several different mission types, and dozens of enemies with interesting and challenging power combinations. And the upgrades in game are all reasonably priced for the inapp currency, which is rare in mobile games! I've been playing it obsessively on the free version. In the free version, every 5 minutes or so when you talk to the blacksmith, he'll offer you a free random item, if you watch a 15-30 second ad. This mechanic is pretty neat and makes it so the ads aren't something to dread. It also gives you something to do when you don't have time to do a full battle. So I decided to buy the premium version to support the game. I assumed the blacksmith would just periodically give a random free item without an ad. Instead this removes the ability to get free items from the blacksmith altogether! My characters now progress far slower than they did in the free version, so I'm switching back to the ads. My recommendation: GET THE FREE VERSION, but also buy some currency to support the game designers too.

iPhone 10 screen. I love this game and have played for years on various downloads. However, it does not fit the screen of the iPhone 10 and it’s almost unplayable. Please fix this as I bought the premium version of this game.

One The Best Mobile Games I've Played. This game along with Bug Heros 2 and Noblemen are some of the best mobile games I've played. Heros And Castles 2 has many features and good gameplay. People are saying it's hard, though I don't think it is. You just need to think smart and adapt. Keep it up Forsaken Media.

I love it BUT. I have played the first hero’s and castles and it was amazing. This is a great game and awesome new stuff added into it AND new units and enemies and sieges is amazing. BUT that doesn’t excuse the horrible lag every time I’m in a siege battle OR a normal battle. This game is so great and fun but the lag is so bad that it may crash your game or make you die. Even if your playing single player the lag is so dang horrible. Multiplayer is the worst lag I’ve seen in years. The first game had no lag for my experiences. So seeing his horrible lag in the second game is kinda dumb. Still am a big fan of the games and I’m in love with this game but PLZ FIX THE LAG!!!!

Game + too hard. This game is really fun and I had a blast getting through the campaign the first time. New game + is just WAY to hard though. There isn’t an easy button to bail you out this time and the enemy stats are ridiculous. And there’s no way back to the regular game. I’m just hopelessly stuck and the game feels more like a hassle than actually fun, like it did the first time around. It would be great if there was a way to get out of new game + if it’s too hard, and right now it seems impossible.

Changed my review. I didn't realize it's easier to go conquer other lands than defend your castle. Now I got more crystals than I know what to do with.

Twin Towers Disappearing. After losing Twin Tower’s one time, it disappeared off my map as if I cannot win it back. The fire mage is one of my favorites to use so I really would love to get Twin Towers back but after losing it one time, it’s almost as if it never existed. Why is this??? Anyone else experience this?

New game. Please consider making a new game heroes and castles 3 it will be so epic and amazing i know all fo your fans will blow it up and so will so many other people it is one of the best mobile games ever

Unable to play multiplayer. I’m unable to play multiplayer. I did previously do the multiple towers glitch idk if that effects anything

Plz read. It's an awesome game! But there’s one thing it’s been over a year and still no fixes or adds i feel like it would be more fun to atleast add a new class maybe an assassin possible or atleast some bug fixes

New game+. One of the biggest pieces of garbage. Completely removes endless game mode. By round 38 it’s completely impossible to get past. Even with a perk which speed up point production to spend on troops. My god, you guys really don’t play your own game. Who ever actually thought this was a good idea? All my hero’s are level 35 and no matter which I played as I could get past this round. Btw, this is with 20$ worth of upgrade points, all of my troops are fully upgraded. The fault is how these ways were designed. And all you can do is up the graphics? Screw you.

Pay to win. What could be a very fun game is made horrid by a pay to win barrier. You will do fine for a time and then have to spend money to get on par with the now overpowered enemies. It is a great game but there is no reason why I should pay to have a Chance at winning on easy mode! The biggest wall is when they start throwing tons of orcs at you and your units just can’t keep up. You are not given enough crystals ( the game currency ) to keep up effectively and there are multiple chesty enemies that are always overpowered. My advice only get this game if you have $20-30 extra to spend on crystals throughout it.

Years of enjoyment. I have taken the game to the very end with nothing left to beat. Maxed everything and I still play it. Reset and will play it through again. Some levels are extremely difficult but if you keep thinking it through there is a solution to them all. The challenge is what makes this game so awesome. Know that there is a solution; not a hack, that will let you build an army that will defeat endless unattended infinitely. I kid you not. Thank you

Best game ever!!!!!!. This is the best game ever. You really put in a lot of work into this and it paid off.

Awesome however,. After the new update, for the ranger ability 'elven arrows', when I have 2+ elven ranges units. Their attack speed shoots up to 125% and my iPhone 6 lags to around 2fps per second. I clear the final level Scarwood keep with one elven hunter using the elven arrows ability under 5 seconds. I think the new updated ability is a tad overpowered :)

Great, but hungry for more...... I am very impressed with the Heroes and Castles series because it is such a great series. I play for hours with my brothers and I've finished both games. But I have some suggestions that would make the game even better and I hope you guys at Foursaken Media can implement them. 4 player co-op would be amazing because we can combine all our heroes together to make an awesome team fighting against the endless hordes. The ability to imbue weapons and armour at the cost of crystals would be nice because waiting for the right set of armour is painstakingly slow and getting the right set of attribute enhancements is frustrating. And to craft a specific weapons or armour, whether it is two-handed, does magic damage etc. wish you could build buildings again as they were a great asset to the first game and want more classes like the first game along with the different skins. Or maybe unlock new classes for each race or even new races. Hero customisation in appearance. Siege mode missed a lot in this one because playing as the undead hordes was really cool in the first game. The final boss could have had a better appearance rather than just copying the necromancer. Dwarvern tank needs to come back. Need more lore, the story is quite intriguing and it would be good to know more. I want tobuild towers during battle as well as the ones you buy from the castle engineer. Each battlefield needs to be more diverse and unique because fighting in a forest would be very interesting. Maybe create a seperate app for multiplayer where you can download you save files from the original app (just a thought). More units for both sides would be amazing as well because more is always better. Honestly it's such a great game and is definitely worth the money spent on both the first and second and can't wait for the third. Keep up the good work guys!!

Here's what I think. I have been playing this game for a long while now. The hours I've spent in this game are numerous and continue growing. I love this game and I honestly think it's worth the price. I've spent so many battles think about new strategies to take down enemies, conquering more lands, defeating numerous waves of enemies and building up mighty heroes. Even though I felt frustrated and sometimes even yelled at my iPad and held my head in anger about the difficulty of some waves. Really, it's great fun. If your determined to take on new ideas and try time and again you'll make it. I've played this game to the end and even made 5 heroes to try different classes to keep fighting when a hero goes down. I've had a great time with this game and recommend it to anyone who reads this. 5 stars. Though the graphics could be better I don't care too much. The music is great and gets stuck in your head ALL the time! But what I am really, really annoyed about is that the dwarf is too slow! FIX DWARF! DONT MAKE DWARF THEY ARE TO SLOW TO MOVE!

Absolutely fantastic!. This game is simply amazing. I tested it during beta and now it's even more awesome! It has stunning visuals, and incredible depth, however the game is quite challenging and strategical. You can't really get stuck, though, as if you fail a wave you are given backup for a major advantage. This game should really be worth more than $10, and I highly recommend it!

The lag. Can you please fix the lag because when I'm in a big battle it lags like crazy and after a while it crashes and I love to play your games so can you try to fix it please.

This game in my thoughts. Heroes and castles 2 is a fantastic game with its gameplay, strategy and looks. I think that it needs some new maps, a villain mode and new units. I still play this and can't wait for new updates to foursaken media games and new games.

Great game but bad multiplayer and difficulty scaling. While the gameplay is sensational and the concept extraordinary the multiplayer never works and the games difficulty gets so hard so fast it's almost impossible to keep up other than this absolutely love the game hope you improve on the flaws and keep up the god work.

No local multiplayer. This game is no doubt worth its money and great BUT for some reason it wont let me host my own local multiplayer game. only join ( i have iphone 6+ and latest update on ios )

If u liked the first this is better!. Awesome just like the first, made some really cool changes to the game play so it's not just a repeat of the first but enough the same. Really fun, I have an older iPad so it runs a bit slow at times but still absolutely worth playing.

Unbeatable series. Easily in my top few games of all time, only really competing in terms of gameplay with the original H+C and the other awesome games by these guys! 11/10 from me, excellent service out-of-game as well, these guys are not above answering silly questions or responding to feedback. Legendary. Not once have I been disappointed by a single release of Foursaken Media. Not once. The calibre of work and effort the four brothers put into their work makes every time I pick up my phone to play worth it. The graphics are superb and are top notch for mobile. It even looks great on the 4S. The gameplay is difficult and presents a pleasant, challenging experience for players. The expansion to the world of H&C in the way of outposts and lands to conquer was most surprising to hear. It is a welcome introduction and makes the game last even longer. The amount of strategy, planning and action combat has is quite different to the first H&C, where the working strategy was to spam the best units. No, you need to construct your own specific formula to combat the oncoming scourge. Every enemy has a pattern, strengths and weaknesses. I wouldn't, however, recommend this game to anyone who plays simple games like Candy Crush all the time. Anyone else is a given, from me. Overall, I am impressed by this piece of work. Hats off to you four. Excited to see what game you have cooking next (Bug heroes 3 maybe?) you have my full and unwavering support. Stay strong.

Great game, infrequent crashing. Great game, better than the first one, but crashes every now and then for some reason, usually when I attack something... Not sure what that is but I reckon you guys can look into it, 5 stars when it's fixed (Y)

Amazingly deep. Huge, huge game with lots of fun strats to try. Deep char development and good loot mechanic. Easily the best value for money IOS game out there so far.

Nice but.... One of my favourite apps but I have had a bit of lag. It was nothing that really affected me because it is barely an issue. Also the game can be very difficult. Although all the negatives I have said earlier this game is great and still deserves 5 stars.

Worth it, just buy it. I've had the game for close to a year. I haven't been playing it constantly but it's a game I can never delete and is always great fun to face a few waves once in a while. Don't get me wrong, it's not a game that you have to put down and come back to later, you can smash as many hours as you like into this thing. Well worth it. Initially the controls may take a little adjusting to but it won't take you long. Levelling different heroes and figuring out the strategy to beat the next wave is always fun. You will need to strategise, especially in the late game. There is no 'one build beats all' which gives the game awesome replay-ability. Yes I made up a word, buy the game already.

Want to give it 5 stars but.... I just won wave 4 and when it said victory the game crashed and it took me a long time to beat it. Please fix this as it's difficult to enjoy the game when every time I receive a victory it crashes making me have to restart the wave all over again. Thanks

This game has a the best movement , the animation on all the units have great reactions ... but the waves come too fast and the the map could be expanded more also after the waves finish, it would be great to see another enemy /boss come in to play. Amazing game. The game is phenomenal. Every aspect is extremely well done, the units, enemies, heroes, upgrades and the other lands. There is only have one issue, and that is on Wave 9, the screen freezes and because of this you cannot progress in the game. If this could be fixed in a future update that would be greatly appreciated.

Great, but one problem. This is a very good game, great visuals and ganeplay. But the difficulty is to high. Either lower the difficulty or add settings to change it. Also near the end of levels, the game likes to crash. Fix these then the game will be perfect

Multiplayer. 2 years later and I still have never matched with someone online. Still my favourite game and would love a third instalment.

Siege. Plz add siege mode that you attack the good guys and and sandbox mode plz and what’s going to happen if I bought premium version? I’m confused

Awesome!. A very deep game with lots of things to upgrade. Very addictive.

Crash is fixed. There are now no problems with the game and I am delighted to rate this 5 stars. Super fun and easily one of the best games out there. It even has castle vs castle siege modes which I made a suggestion for after playing the first game and am happy they put that in the sequel because it rocks! All in all, awesome game from awesome developers.

Siege. This is a great game but what happened to the dark mode from the first game as it was one of my favourite things about that game.

Best mobile game ever. Until now, the first version of H&C was by far my favourite iOS game and now they've gone and improved on it immensely in v2! Amazing graphics and most importantly, incredibly fun and deep gameplay. I can't believe only 4 guys made this! I'm sure they'll be fixing the crashing issues soon but the game is so awesome I don't even care. I had such high hopes for this game and you went above and beyond! Edit: This game keeps getting better and better with frequent updates and new features. There was a bit of a hiccup recently with some crashes, but Foursaken is amazing at fixing these bugs quickly (within a day or two) so don't mind the 1 star ratings.

Fantastic Sequel. Takes everything I loved about the first game and notches it up another level. Fantastic game!

A review. Amazing game would like for summoned heroes to go back to castle when health is low, summing close combat heroes is kinda pointless right now, also I think running skeletons shouldn't be able to run right after they already have, and maybe lower their damage and armour pierce because whenever I face them it is a disaster, siege trolls are easier, in my opinion, then a group of running skeletons.

Wow. I am stunned. Never have I seen a game this good for any device. I salute the creators! One thing though, I think that the infinity spears research should also affect Elven Lion Gaurd, the Mages Fortune should also effect the Priests somehow, and the Elite research should effect a few more unit types. If these things were implemented the game would make more sense in that regard, but these pale in comparison to the amazing everything else!

Good improvement, needs some fixing still. Huge fan of H&C 1, so I thought I'd pick this game up as well. Compared to H&C1, this game's progression is significantly longer and harder, with the whole "conquering sites" a nice touch to the overall gameplay. You can also summon your other heroes as combat units, which is a nice touch There are some, in IMO, unnecessary nuances, like literally finding an unlit treasure box in a shrubbery filled landscape at night - other than using a minute of my life searching, I see no purpose in this game design. There's a lot more units, with some being a little redundant for variety, which is fine. There is a problem with local multiplayer - can't find/connect on Bluetooth nor local wifi. Ad-hoc network doesn't work as well. Even hosting an online game and having the other iPad connect doesn't work (cannot find game). Using two iPad Air 2's, there seems to be a RAM issue even at 2GB. If your maxed army is at a stand still with a sizable enemy army, casting AOE spells or heals is enough to crash the game. Not even end game or survival settings, we're talking wave 9 out of a presumable 30 waves. Otherwise, good game, semi worth the money if local multiplayer was supported (I don't even know if you can do more than 2 players!)

Best One Yet. Even better than first one. Still a bit grindy but nowhere near as bad as bug heroes 2. This is now my Favourite game on Iphone. Still wish they would sell "premium versions" without the grinding as buying fake money is rediculous. This game is Worth 10 $ minimum.

Its fun but.... This is a very good RPG. It has great graphics and a great concept but my only complaint is that after a while with the starting castle (That you never lose even if you fail to defend it) the waves become too difficult for me so I start trying to handle the other things but it restrains me by after so many attacks I have to return to the castle and defend it. Which is annoying but since you never lose it even if you fail the defense I just start the wave then surrender. If they got rid of this feature then it would be much better or at least make it in between waves have an actual timer. Like make it so that after 10 minutes make them do it again instead of after a single attack make them do it again. Sometimes I need to defend 3 outposts but after defending one of them I need to go back to castle draydon. Either remove it, have more turns between waves (Maybe 10) or put an actual timer on it.

Update. The update screwed the game up. I'm on wave 32 and I have 4 outpost under attack and I cannot defeat the enemy anymore. The enemy is strong as it is they don't need a buff, they also overrun me in a matter of seconds. Once I get my banner man out the surround them and kill them and what little troops I have out there die quickly from mor oncoming enemy troops. When using up your mana it should replenish when you are using your skill as it previously before the update. I had so much fun playing this game before the update I'd for an hour or two leveling up my troops. Oh on wave 30 when that massive spawn of siege trolls hit was pretty fun. It was like a final effort for the enemy. The way I counteracted them was with max level fire and ice wizards and I researched their skill to spread their attack. The bug fixes were fine, but for the most part it the stats should go back to the way they were, no lowering and no raising up, just go back to the way they were.

Waaaay different from H&C 1. While H&C 1 has a sort of arcade style survival defense gameplay, it's sequel is far different and also far more polished. It definitely feels like a fuller and better game, console quality even. The question is, is it a better game? Well that depends if you really loved the first one, as I did. If you did, you'll enjoy this one, even though it's such a different game. They removed the character classes, replacing them with generic races with (weak) skill branches, also giving them different armor, weapons and runes. This system is weak, I feel, since obtaining stronger gear is tricky; you create them with crystals that you earn and find, or you find gear in the lands that you conquer. Oh yeah, there is a system where you conquer, keep, or lose areas on the map, and the map is under constant attack; this I like, it keeps you on your toes. The combat is waaaay different, battles, (and the game) are MUCH more difficult now. In Heroes 1, you can play a dozen plus matches without dying, in this, you WILL die within the first few. It's more visceral and the enemies hit harder. The wall and base also falls far quicker as well. Yep, the game is a lot harder now as well. Overall, it's a different H&C experience. And I welcome it.

By far one of the best strategy games on Ipad. This is by far one of the best strategy games on the iPad. Everything is very doable without spending money, though spending money does speed things up. Incredibly entertaining and realistic individual games, with the multiplayer options. Unlike the previous version where you would just have repetitive waves of forces to fight.. This one allows you to conquer and expand your kingdom, and to hold it all together which is no easy task you got to keep battling it out.. I got to 97% of conquering everything and now I know what Rome must've felt like at peak :-) I couldn't figure out how to get that last place, it said that it was surrounded by some special defense. But I can say is that I played like there was no tomorrow.. And promptly deleted the game so that I can be productive again :-)

Amazing, recommendation plz read. Ok this game is astounding it blows me away but it could use some more content the extra levels and being able to add your other heroes in battle is great but it lacks excitement once you earn everything so I have some troop recommendation first is the dark mage it summons in 1 normal soldier every 10 seconds with a max of 10 at the max level 6 and it would increase each level like this level 1 max 4 minions summoned, level 2 5 minions summoned, ect. And the dark Mage would even shoot a projectile that does decent damage, also the minions it summoned would be the same level as your foot soldiers. The last thing is the dark Mage would be unlocked after beating level 29...as this was a difficult level for me. Thanks for reading my recommendation I hope it was helpful!

Thanks for the block. I loved the original h and c but when I heard there was another coming out I was like it just can't top the first but then I downloaded it and my mind crashed.( not a bad crash a good crash) EVERYTING is different it's good looking and just fun to play and I know it's still new and there is much tweaking to be done (like the crashing) but by far my favorite parts are the armor and THE BLOCKING. I LOVE the blocking if you have a shield ( you can block without the shield) but I was playing and I have my block on and I turn aroun and I block a arrow to good :) but I really recommend it for first timers and people who played the first because it's a really easy game to pick up and just play all night.

Great game with some issues.. H&C2 is a game where you defend your crystal which is guarded by your castle walls. Evil minions come out and try to attack it. There is also a map where you can go and attack or defend a outpost which gives you bonuses. There is a in-app purchase system but it really ruins the gameplay if you use it. It's basically there for those who get stuck on a level and want to buy there way past it.(the in-app purchases are crystals which can be used on upgrading stuff or you can obtain the in-game for free as your progress.) As for the issues there isn't really to many that I have run into but the game does lag and freeze in battles sometimes. Please do note that I'm playing this on a iPhone 5s that is plugged into the wall. There are some graphical issues like units slightly walking through walls but it does not affect the game at all. Overall great game. Defiant buy. But it does

Great sequel, but has a problem. Ok for one I love the game and everything about it. I had bought the game buy some gems to get me started up and so I thought wonder what graphics this was on. I went to option and saw that there where level graphics, lighting, and shadows so after a while playing the game I decided what it would look like if I were to put the graphic setting high, so I did and immediately it crashes and now I can't get in. please make an update to fix this I can't play and I'm afraid if I download it again all my purchases and progress will be gone. Over all the times I've played it made me want more of the game due to how much fun it was to play and go against orcs and trolls.

Nearly everything I want from a game. This game has seen a lot of improvement since it's release. And while the updates have begun to slow, they are certainly not lacking for potency. I played this game to death before, but New Game+ and the new ability to summon your entire roster of heroes to your side during combat brought me back for more. However, if I had to criticize this new function, it's that heroes are notoriously frail. That's why we have the ability to dodge, block, or use abilities to keep us alive. But regardless of your build, the Bots that control your additional heroes just stand still and attack when in range. And as heroes tend to die in one hit in the later stages, it makes them extremely hard to use effectively. They pop out, walk into range of the nearest enemy, then stand there while they get whomped on. My only recourse was try to equip everyone with a ranged weapon and hope they stay back. It'd be really nice if, barring an AI upgrade, non-player heroes gained a damage reduction or bonus health to help even the most geared and leveled of heroes from crumpling like paper. I sincerely hope that this game continues to develop. It really is great, the developers are one of my favorite and I play a lot of their games all the time.

Great game but needs polish. The game is overall a very enjoyable hybrid like the game description says. There are however minor irks that make the game dimmer where it should shine. A few suggestions 1. dwarves are very underpowered, they are slow, clumsy, and unresponsive, perhaps with higher starting HP to fit dwarves lore and tweaking skills would help balance? Elf skills are far superior. 2. the game needs better instructions either in game or on its wiki. I still have no idea what some skills or item stats do. Such as 15% wide angle, or how much life steal from vampirism. 3. Some skills are broken wasting valuable skill points. Unstable Magic and Counter Blow comes to mind. 4. I have repeatedly notice a potential bug where the hero is slowed from being poisoned and the dash. The hero can be stuck on slow for the remainder of the battle. Further dashes slows the hero more until the hero is not moving at all. 5. Please let us get rid of starter equipment. I don't care if I sell it for 0 crystals. It's cluttering my inventory. Other than that nicely built game! Kudos to the Foursaken team.

4th Review. After achieving.... 100% on land conquering, this game still has bugs and issues that need to be addressed. 1 Balance wave 33 literally took me like a dozen tries. 2 whenever I obtain a nice legendary item the fourth stat randomly changes... 3. Elven arrows on ranger needs some debuff in my opinion. 4. Multiplayer/coop still needs some tuning. 5. Make it harder to find treasure in clear conditions. 6. Lastly, we should have the choice to pick n choose character/weapon customization. I.E. I like being ranged with a bow, I don't mind the random looks n what not but the other stuff like scythes/swords should be optional to pick for your specific class in my opinion. Other than that, this is a fun action packed, critical thinking game. Strategize your units and your hero(s). I prefer just ranger because other classes/styles dont suite me well. I recommend this with family/friends well when multiplayer is soon to be better tuned. Will give 5 stars later! Good luck!

Great game, please read before purchasing. This game all together is one of the best I have ever played. It's an epic 3rd person open world mid-evil strategy game worth every cent of its price... However, there are a few flaws(buyers please consider, designers please fix): 1) this game is way to stressful, the player has to micromanage so much at once that it's hard to advance into new land. I had only conquered six territories before I was quickly over run by the opposing army. On top of this, I was forced to return to my home castle constantly to fight even though doing so made me loose land... I would suggest making it a player decision to start waves at the home castle and raise the other territory defend time to 30 in game days. 2)The enemy army at the main base is too overpowered for beginning units and I can't get new units as conquering new land is next to impossible... Please fix(add difficulty setting, take away some enemy units, etc.) All in all this is a great game worth all the money it costs, just please take to considering the basic flaws I have listed.

UPDATE RUINS 5STARS GAME (RAM issues 4 ipad2). Game worked great until Apple iOS update,still ran but crashed. Then after the game update, won't run at all, and if so, repeatedly crashes in the midst of action, overloaded by effects and animations maybe? Not sure wether it's a RAM shortage or what, but I run the game with the lowest possible settings in the game options, and yet when certain animations take place, the game crashes, or if there are too many AI characters on the screen with said animations, it crashes, I have even turned off the shadows but to no avail. I like the game very much, very entertaining but the crashes seem to occur in the middle of battle causing me a loss some times when I'm right on the verge of victory. IT CANT BE TOO HARD FOR DEVELOPERS TO HAVE A SKELETON VERSION ON GAMES FOR OLDER DEVICES, IMEAN WE PAY MONEY AS WELL. SOOO ANNOYING...please fix bugs...thank you

Very fun, Very difficult. This game is extremely fun, let me start off. I've been looking for a fun and challenging strategic game to dive into and Foursaken has delivered. Combining the castle defense genre and first person action is quite the deadly combo. However, challenging may be quite an understatement. Now this may just be me, but this game can be very unbalanced at times, in favor of the enemy. A single skeleton knight can hold his own against several pike man. And the skeleton longbow archers are just to OP. Being able to snipe your castle and banner men from afar. The enemies seem to spawn faster than rabbits at times, and to make it worse they receive a power boost every 5 to 10 minutes or so. The last thing I need when I'm pushed back at my castle walls with no banner men and only several pitiful footmen is strengthened enemies. I also wish my troops AI was a bit smarter. I don't need 5 of my shield bearers to be swarming around a single skeleton archer while 6 other skeleton archers take free shots at their backs. If you could better the AI of the troops, or better yet give the player control over the troops' priorities and movements this game would be golden. I love this game, and it has a whole lot of potential. I don't mean to whine or fuss, but am just offering my criticism.

Love it. I liked the first one, was even #1 in coop for a long time but I LOVE this one. They took all the best parts and improved them. I would like a solo endless mission to practice on but maybe there is one and I'm just not far enough in the game yet. 2$ to start and a max of $20 for in app purchases which I did not because I needed to, but because they deserved it having made such a great follow up to the first. To my knowledge it's still the only first person tower defense game out there, great job to all those that helped make this game (I never get to say that normally and it feels nice!) monthly updates that add levels and has mostly improved the game thus far.

Love it. Awesome game. But some issues.... This game is everything I wanted it to be. I absolutely love it. I loved the first version and I've been waiting for months for the second one. It's everything I wanted it to be and more. Definitely worth the wait. Too bad it crashes while I'm playing and it lags when there's too much going on I should have beat wave 30 already but it crashes every time I'm near the end!!! Please fix for 5 stars! Update.. Still crashes if too many units on the field plus lag time. But I beat wave 30 . Took the enemy keep. And got 100% land capture. Still many fun things to do like defend outpost, get new heroes and online and off line multiplayer. Overall this game is the best.

Review Change. It would be so cool if the main castle were a bit bigger and there would be a stairway to where the archers are so you can shoot from up there too (that would be AMAZING). Maybe throw in a new kind of race/class like a mythical class! I also HATE how the Druids followers including Druids and Sprite follow the other players around when being an alternate character. It's really annoying. So make it an option to turn of the 'followers following main character' they just get in the way and I'd prefer them to be with the hero they were summoned by. If not then at least add in a new class and 2 more character slots to fit them. Also it would be cool if you could assign a hero to each castle and defend if you can't yourself on time. UPDATE: add more monsters like dark elves and how about more mythical creatures and a new hero idea is a satyr that can put enemies to sleep with flute and can summon animals. Something like that just please do an update so you can make this app to the top. Just look up some mythical animals and animate them boom done. Also make a few more maps and give them a spark. You can even do one in a plain, a large cave, surrounding a lake, in the deep woods. I don't know but please at least update the game and you can easily make it to the top.

Wall climbing. Hy i want an option to climb walls of my castles and to fight from there

Unbalanced game. I'm stuck at wave 4 for Christ sake! And the enemy respond to quickly and I'm not able to enough troops to fight them like the multiplier is 1.0 for me but the enemy has like a multiplier of 5.0 like come on man that's not even fair. I know they spawn 1 troop at a time but I still lose when I spam foot man like crazy. With the difficulty at 2/20 seems like a big joke to me more like 10/20. I have no clue what lvl 30 is like but from what I heard its even worse than this so I would rather not get to that point because this game and the developers have problem with balancing their game, oh and a another thing i can't even play multiplayer because the guild master keeps saying " you have other matters to attend to" or something like that which I don't i would rather play multiplayer than anything else at this point. first the crashing,the crashing again when I open now unbalanced waves of enemies it's makes want to get rid of this game. At least the graphic are half decent but they could get the face right. Also since the update I can't even get into the app because it crashes when I open it, oh and before I go crystals in the game are very scarce do you might as well give up you money to the developers because this game is turning into a pay to win. ✌️

👅. Issa fun game

Good but when you get to waves26-30 it gets impossible. I love this game and the original -this is worth the buy- but my problem with it is I am on wave 30 everything up until now has been good and balanced wave 30 is balanced if played right but I cannot play wave 30 anymore due to the fact of every battle being 20/20 on the map and I cannot hold my outposts anymore due to the fact of the enemy is constantly able to spam things like captains necromancers trolls and mummy lords it becomes impossible recently had a battle where they had sent out 3 necromancers and 4 captains at the start so the necromancers summoned many skeletons and shielded them all and the captains and my walls were gone in mere moments due to the shielding damage and sheer number -I have max level walls- and then another battle that instantly killed all my banner men by spamming burrowing units but I am sorry for the wordy review and hope in the future some units get merged just a bit

First impression. As the title says, this is my first impression and so far it's not bad. There are no problems with the controls and the gameplay is pretty fun. But a few things i would like to point out, the game gets really difficult after the first fight which isn't bad but it makes it hard to progress, And another thing is i find it hard to aim at the enemies maybe it's just me but i find myself swinging at nothing half the time. Maybe add some sort of aim assist. Also i got to upgrade my crystal and it said it would heal me for 2hp/sec but it's still healing for 1. Other than that, it's a really fun game. Kudos for making this game. One more thing, maybe add an archer class. I know it's gonna be tough adding in all the equipment and skills and whatnot. But it would be nice. Anyway goodjob again. Looking forward to some updates.

Fantastic game! Some enemies a bit too strong. This is an awesome game, no doubt about it, I would recommend anyone reading this game to buy it right now if you have not. Great gameplay and leveling system but there are some problems. This is a great game, absolutely no doubt about it, but there are some enemies that have REALLY op abilities. For example if you get hit by a ghost your life is permanently decreased for the fight, plague mummies constantly hurt everyone around them making it impossible to kill them without taking massive damage since they have enormous amounts of health. There can also be enemies like ghouls that tunnel underneath your units and just hit your banner man, which would not be too op but they do a lot of damage to them and kill them really quickly

..... This is a great game. If you own an iPad 2 or below, it will consistently crash. The game is not "too hard" on any level. This game is very similar to its preprocessor; you play to reach the highest level possible of each of your characters. And don't even waste your time with co-op or team play. iPad 2 or below (and sometimes iPad air), it's a complete waste of effort. If you complain about it being too hard, you're not using the tools or creativity needed to gain a higher level. If you're stuck, replay levels to gain the gems you need to buy better Runes, Armor, Shields or Weapons needed to go further. I'm not happy that the developers have decided to not fix the problems with older devices, and I have lost a lot of progress because of their blatant disregard concerning updates, but it's still a great game. Just very frustrating. You can be 15 minutes into the "Endless" mode, and then you crash and earn nothing for your efforts. As developers, they should've never allowed anyone to download this game knowing that it wouldn't work on older devices, but hell, it's not like the App Store has a refund policy...... .....if you still own, or continue to buy apple products, you should be used to being taken advantage of. Apple lost their passion and replaced it with greed long before Steve Jobs passed away. Hence the reason I have never bought a newer apple product after the iPad 2.

Game is addicting. Heroes and castles 2 is by far addicting and it's really hard sometimes which is good cause I like to have challenges sometimes. To be honest I like how the blacksmith gives random loot when you spend your crystals cause it adds more length to the game which sounds crazy but I wanna work hard for the best gear ever I don't want it to be easily accessible to me and with the loot being random it's honestly perfect and it needs to stay that way cause it should be extremely hard to get the best weapons, armor runes and everything else cause this is my favorite game and since the loot that you pay for is random it makes my game time last longer for the game cause I payed for the game so I want it to last for a long time. So don't get rid of the random loot cause its how this game started and it needs to stay that way and I'll keep on playing if the loot is random cause I'm addicted to games that have random loot and I love to spend everything that I have left to see what all I can get and honestly random loot makes the game that much better to me.

Fun and exciting. I

H&C 2. This game improves in some areas on the first H&C. It has better visuals, some new enemies, and the addition of the block button. All in all this is a great sequel, or would be if not for the persistent bugs and app crashing. After I first downloaded this (on the iPhone 6 mind you) I did not have very many issues. After about 3 or so hours of gaming, I began to notice several bugs and crashes. After playing about 8 hours of gameplay, I can hardly finish a single game without it crashing. Also, don't even bother with multiplayer at this point. You will be lucky enough to connect with Game Center friends, and even if you get in a match, you will most liked either loose connection or the game will just lag and crash. Turning the visuals down all the way on the iPhone 6 did not seem to help with any lag or crash issues. It is sad to see a great title like H&C rampant with bugs and crashes. If the developers of this awesome series can straighten out these issues, I am sure the fans would be extremely appreciative.

Love this game but have never heard a more annoying narrator. YOUR BANNERMAN IS UNDER ATTACK

SUPER FUN. Heroes and castles has long been one of my favorite games and this one is twice as good. You have multiple playing fields and a wide variety of options from conquering land to defending your castle. The amount of hero and weapon choices are amazing, they are tons of enemies each having a certain way to be beaten. I'm ready for the next big update. I feel like another class would be really awesome and have it be unlike the others. I like the suggestion of a mythical creature. Another thing that would be awesome is something that's in the first heroes and castles and that's the ability to fight others as the undead. Being the bad guy every now and then would be super fun. Maybe even have a separate campaign were you are the villains and they can have their own set of heroes. All in all this game is 6/5 stars I would recommend this game to any and everyone. H&C2. It's a very entertaining game

Amazing game. Multiplayer seems a little buggy. First of the game is incredible! A lot of diversity in the characters and the enemies. Some levels are hard, but it's a strategy game and I enjoy a challenge. I like the different classes that you can build your character in. One thing I will say is maybe ease up on the enemy attacking your lands so often. It isn't a big issue though. The gameplay itself is great and it runs well. Now the multiplayer. I find it can be very buggy to even play with my friends. It sometimes won't let us join each other's game. And it matchmaking it is hard to find a match. It isn't to much of an issue though. Me and my friend plays and really enjoys the game. Multiplayer does need a little more game modes though. I really liked versus in the first heroes and castles where you could be the enemy. Overall I would highly recommend the game to anyone. Now the multiplayer.

Fun and Challenging. I don't ever write reviews about games but this is by far one of my favorite games basically ever. This game has really good graphic design and really added a lot for the last H&C! I've got to say that in my opinion, it's a little to hard. It's honestly impossible to keep your outposts for me. I mean, I guess the more you play that changes, but right now I'm on wave 30 or so and I'm asking to lower the difficulty, and the up the days you have before getting attacked. Sometimes, I have one day left, and I successfully defend an outpost and there is 3 more outposts under attack. I would also want to lower the rate of enemies approaching the outposts. But Overall this game has great gameplay, graphics, theme, strategic gameplay, and defense system. Good job, one of my favorites!

Best update yet, I love it!. This is literally my 4th review so I'm not going to go into much detail but I love the new arena mode! I only wish there was co op support but other than that I love it! Also, another mode you can add is like a 4 way battle mode like two actual players in their own castle and two different ai castles like the traditional one with Paladins, Knights, and all the other troops. And then all the skeletons and trolls and stuff to create an awesome battleground which all kinds of players look for. I understand if this would take a while, like a long time, but if you could just have an update soon that doesn't actually change anything just says like a message that would say like "message received" or something then that would be great. I love you guys you are my favorite mobile game developers ever!

Anvil armor extremely hard to obtain. This saddens me deeply 300 Crystal still no dwarven anvil armor I spend money on this game and love it doesn’t hurt to fix the probability

Great game but their are some issues. Ok so I've been waiting for a sort of medieval theme game where you get to control troops and what not and once I saw this game I knew it was what I was looking for. However, I'm only to the 7th round of the singleplayer missions and their are some big problems. 1) crafting. Ok so great idea. You can make new weapons, shields, armor etc. but the random theme kinda ruins it. More so on the weapon part of it. It needs to be changed so u can control if you want a sword, war hammer, bow or whatever. 2) targeting. Idk but when you are in close combat with an enemy its a little glitch and u have to constantly back up and move around in order to make a attack land. 3) units. So the unit theme is great and although you are able to upgrade them I feel like they are mostly underpowered, especially at the beginning of a wave when their are lots of enemies and banner man cost too many points to spare and your gaining points at a seemingly low rate so you have to be careful about the troops you spawn first. All in all this is a great game and I'm looking forward to future updates where hopefully some of the issues will be fixed

A Sequel Success!. I loved the first game, I now love this as well. However not as good as the first in terms of characters and difficulty, I still love the game for its graphics, customization, and good balance between originality and staying true with the first game. With the mercenaries and easy mode, this game has become playable to a younger or inexperienced audience that usual don’t play these kinds of game but still want a good game to play. The arena allows players to test themselves against a variety of enemies using only your gear and skills with no help of units or towers. It gets harder as more enemies are defeated and in the end rewards the player depending in how many rounds he/she survived. —————————————————————————————— Bugs and Issues: There is a bug where my screen would go black in the middle of a game. It gets annoying as sometimes enemies would use that opportunity to land a hit on my character without me seeing what the heck is going on. Seems to be a bug with the Guillotine ability where it only affects enemies smaller than a Bone Giant like Goblin Riders and Necromancers but anything just as big or bigger is not affected by this ability. Bug with the Skill Nature’s Touch where sometimes it kills me when ever I kill an enemy and the snare traps would stun me when walking over it even though other it wouldn’t do that —————————————————————————————— Comparison to the first game: I was a big Berserker Barbarian fan in the first game but was disappointed to see how it turned up in the sequel. It had been taken as a Dwarf skill tree, but even though dwarves do have a lot of health they still are very slow. Still has those individual unit cap, ground and wall caps, and I would prefer the option of versatility, having a total 100 population cap, rather than being 50/50. It has this option but only on siege missions when conquering land. I miss Siege mode and wished it came back to H&C2. It needed improvements as I believe the Good Side had an upper hand in the first game but it was still fun to see what it was like to play on the other faction. Can be very punishing to about Dark Souls level of punishing as its possible to lose gems or earn gems and experience slowly whenever using Easy mode or mercenaries.
