Perfect app. This one is really nice

It’s Great, but..... Of course there are always issues, but the good stuff is here. The sounds, easy to use, etc.. Organizing the user sounds would be great.

No salsa. My first impression. The app is a nice concept though overpriced give its accuracy. It is not accurate. 1) It plays undesired extra notes. 2) there is no salsa templates for those looking for a quick salsa solution. 3)There are no martillos in bongo patterns. #1 is an experience killer for me.

Sounds drowned out in verb. Could be great but still sounds like they are all the same with the same hall like sound hope it improves. Perhaps an envelope setting for tuning

Fabulous Afro-Latin drum sounds. If you like Latin and Afro rhythms and want an app that is good to set the tempo for you to play along with, I think this app is the best. Lots of variety that will take me a long time to discover the extent. Highly Recommended.

Useless. This would be a 5 star review if they fixed the glitch. If I have the app running and a phone call comes in the app goes silent as it should. However, after the call ends the sound will not come back on no matter how many times I punch the button. The only way that I can get it to come back on again is to reboot the phone. This is unacceptable. I've spent many hours trying to contact them about this with no success. This would be a fabulous app if they fixed this glitch and communicated with their customers. As it stands, this app is useless and I've wasted $9.99 and many hours in frustration. Buyer beware!

Rhythms not staying with drum kit. Just trying out the live pads, they work, but when changing patterns on the fly, the drum kit stays the same, even if I choose it to make the change.

No sound!!!!. I bought this app because I am writing some songs in afro cuban rhythms and needed some rhythmic backbone that was true to the sounds. No I cannot hear anything. What's going on? It states that this is iOS 7 and Later compatible.....please fix, I am loosing money by the minute on my writing!!

Not bad, needs some work. First off, a help file would be nice. I was looking for standard Latin riffs. Trial and error seem to be the only option. Some of the tempos seem very fast. The tempo slider doesn't respond and the plus/minus keys are spotty at best. I had the best results with the tap key. I think overall the app will perform for me once I go thru the learning curve.

Not as complete as other Lumbeat products. Everything is great, but I am disappointed that midi control for live pad control is grayed out and does not work like other Lumbeat apps. Also, it appears you cannot export midi file like other Lumbeat products. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars

The genius of Luis Martinez.... ...has no limits. I have all but three of his drum apps and I'll likely buy two of them soon. The EDM one just doesn't fit what I'm doing. But I'm sure it's as ingenious as this one. This app is packed with all kinds of things. Boat loads of samples, train loads of styles, truckloads of options. You can jam along with the app and it will automatically add fills where you want them. You can create and save rhythms. You can string several different rhythms together to make a song and tell it where to put in fills. You can do odd time signatures. You can do straight beats or really get it swinging for some Afro-Latin Texas shuffle, lol. Most importantly, even I can use this app with ease. I don't get along well with drum machines because they're a bit too time consuming and I'm just not a drummer. My programming sounds robotic and it takes me an hour and a half to sound that good. With this app (and the others this dev makes) it has enough of a drummers mind that I just have to get the basic pattern going then it'll take it to another level and it happens in minutes. It's worth every penny. Go ahead and tap "buy".

For the most part really decent, just some slight pet peeves. The app is really versatile a good 80% of the time and a lot of beats are easily achievable. One thing I noticed however, is the clear lack of cymbals and hi hats from the sound selection. Sometimes I want to make a cumbia song that requires there be an open high hat to be played in the off beat, but since theres no sound for that theres no way to recreate the sound. I know there’s a latin drummer option in the jazz/other drum apps but it makes no sense that you couldn’t just play this alongside the unique instruments found here instead of having to mix and match every time. Not to mention that the brazilian drum app has a drum kit itself Aside from this, and from some glitches where the song just doesn’t save properly and whole sections are left wiped with no way of fixing it etc. this app does its job pretty well, pretty good stuff.

BEEEUTIFUL!. After messing with other apps, I finally found one that knew there was a rest on the first beat of the son clave (really? yes really). But oh so much more! This was obviously written by someone who wanted to jam everything he knew about latin and afro cuban rhythms into an app. 👌 I may spend the rest of my life trying to understand it all. But for now, I'm having the time of my life practicing rueda de casino with this wonderful creation. Thank you señor Martinez!

Beyond Useful. I have quite a few of Luis’ drum apps and I am impressed with each and every one. This particular one has a fantastic array of sounds and patterns. I find the edit function on all his apps to be terrific and easy to use. The new half time and double time feature only adds to the brilliance and humanish quality of these Incredible applications. Luis has really created percussive masterpieces (and don’t forget his bass app which links seamlessly to the drummers). Thank you, Luis!

Awesome. App works again! Make sure your stereo sounds are enabled in your iPads settings after iOS 8 update. I have an iPad mini with retina display. This is a treasure trove of Latin sounds and innumerable variations of rhythms. Play around in the Patterns section!

Great sounds but needs fix. Sounds great and I love ability to combine and experiment with different sounds. Steep learning curve if you are not an experienced musician. Audiobus to GarageBand not working for me. No sound and app gets locked up. Not sure if other users are having same problem.

Great App. It's a really good app but I have to keep reinstalling the app due to the fact that no sound comes out! I'm using a 5s with iOS 8 it was doing it on the 4s and the 5s prior to the update.

Everything a percussion app should be. I’m very impressed. I would pay up for a flamenco app immediately. The banks of rhythms / samples are very easy to navigate. A great deal of thought was put into making this app. A+ samples and the randomize button allows me to quickly experiment. Thank you for the great product

Ralphaelfield. This app needs a constant metronome option. For me the rhythm seems to drift Hard to use in rehearsal I end up using IReal book Some kinda of manual would help Sounds are great save your money unless you want a toy

Great app with small bug. Very versatile and natural-sounding. But in the current phone version, if you’re playing a preset in the groove sequencer editing section, the steps are not highlighted as they are being played. So you’re forced to guess which sound is getting modified when you’re playing around with the sequence. Hopefully a minor bug that is easy to fix. Also, instrument sounds have a higher, more appropriate pitch on the ipad than their counterparts in the iphone version. I hope they correct the iphone sounds to match those from the ipad coz it’s kinda ruining the whole vibe.

Excelent!!!. the rhythms are very good, if you add a way to activate deactivate with pedal for solo musicians. pianists, guitarists I think it would be a grand slam!!!

Nice app. The samples are great, they sound realistic, that part it's great. I am not an expert in Afro Cuban rhythms, but I could not recognize a pattern for salsa, I am a song writer and would like to write a song and put a rhythm for the verses, another rhythm pattern for the chorus, the verses in a salsa song are lower in intensity than the chorus. The verses have bongos, and in the chorus the bongosero grabs the campana, and I could not find a pattern like that already programmed. The patches for bachata, salsa needs better programming, the congas sound too low, too bassy, the mixer only has five slots for five instruments, I would like to be able to put more instruments.

Guaguanco. I would have liked to have had a Matanzas style guaguanco. I think the app is a great practice tool. Thanks

Great app.. I love the options that it gives. If you want this app even more amazing AfroLatin then add some piano and horns to the mix to have a true Latin effect. I know this is a percussion app but getting some of those other instruments will make it a true band.

Just noticed the new update!. thanks for constantly upgrading your apps to keep up with your newer apps. But can you PLEAAAAASE add the swing options from Hip Hop drummer to Funk drummer?? Or just an update that brings it up to speed like this one? I love all your apps and Funk Drummer is the only one that struggles to keep up! Thank you for your hard work!

Terrible User Interface, No help. I am a drummer and an engineer and I have used a lot of drum machines but after playing with this app for an hour I couldn't figure out how to create or save any of my own grooves. Went to the web site but no instructions or help available. I felt this app was a waste of time and money.

Excellent Latin Metronome/Play along. This app is a very well done drum machine programmed with an enormous amount of rhythms including Batá, Dominican and Puerto Rican rhythms. Highly recommended. I'm a percussionist/drummer and I really like this app to study along with on my main percussive instruments or as a drum machine for practicing piano and bass. Personally though, I don't understand the use of the Puerto Rican flag on the app icon since a good 80% of the rhythms are actually Afro CUBAN. Bomba from Puerto Rico only has 4 presets and I don't even see a plena preset. Merengue and bachata on the other hand has a whole category. I appreciate the Puerto Rican contribution to hispanic American music as much as anyone but in this case if the overwhelming amount of presets on your app are Cuban then use that flag or use a neutral no flag icon.

Needs to have export function. I do love the beats in this App but am disappointed that there is no way to share it to Logic Pro x on my Mac. Bummer😵‍💫

Crashes. This app keeps crashing --maybe some bugs will be ironed out on the next version. (Please!) It could be very useful for practise. Also some user information would be helpful and perhaps some background info. Some of the combinations just seem very unusual and unlikely. No support on the web that I could find.

Love the app. My only problem with this app is that there should definitely be a tutorial with it or notes explaining all the functions
