Gets Much Easier With Time. The first time I tried to use the app I was completely distressed and found it frustrating to navigate. Trying to learn something new while simultaneously coping with a volatile situation was not ideal. I still hate that I have to setup appointments individually instead of being able to make a recurring appt time with a provider. Whether experience or improvement via treatment is the reason, I now find navigating much simpler. Occasionally the video pixelates during appointments. It comes back to normal quickly. Regardless of the format used, I appreciate that my insurance provider offers telehealth appointments. It allows both providers and patients/clients the ability to have appointments that do not require physical examination or treatment. I prefer MDLive to Zoom for this. Privacy is always a concern with online activities but I am comfortable with the safeguards built in to the app. Being able to add appointments to my calendar is very helpful. I manually add an event 15min before my appt that reminds me why I booked the session. That keeps my time focused on the issue rather than looking for my notes. Not being able to contact a provider directly via message is a drawback though I can easily see how there would be potential for abuse. It would be nice if a provider could open up messaging to people and turn it off if it is abused. Overall, very thankful this app exists and my insurance permits me to access providers remotely.

The best app ever. I have AmeriHealth (Medicaid) insurance and I usually go to the hospital for everything because I am too lazy to get a primary dr. Anyway I have and infected bite on my hand. I was dreading going to the hospital and waiting for 4-5 hours. I googled online drs. That take AmeriHealth. Apparently AmeriHealth has its own app and online drs. I had an appt 10 min later and 10 min after that I am just waiting on the pharmacy to fill my script. From the time I thought about a online Dr to have it the antibiotics sent to the pharmacy was a total of 30 min. ON A SATURDAY!! I am so happy and excited that this was this easy to discover and use and get seen. Everyone should use it.

It is not 24/7. I scheduled an appt for the next available doctor and was queued for 20 min. I then received a call saying that they are experiencing a delay and I will speak with the next doctor as soon as possible. There was no time given. I selected the option to wait in the queue instead of a call back 7 hours after my initial wait. One hour and thirty minutes later I call the 888 number only to be told there are no doctors logged in/available. Why say 24/7 when the service isn’t 24/7? I understand not everyone wants to work graveyard shifts, but that’s my schedule so being able to speak to a doctor regarding my cold symptoms rather than paying $200 for an ER visit is preferred. So disheartening to realize that this is just another version of an UC

Wonderful for people with packed work schedules. I’ve been having a skin issue with my hands for the past couple weeks and it got to the point where I was very uncomfortable. I knew I had virtual visits through my insurance so while on lunch at work I looked it up real quick. Made an appointment and a doctor called me in 10 minutes. I explained the problem, sent her a pic, and she prescribed me a topical cream that was ready to pick up a half an hour later. I am floored at how easy that was. No calling my pcp office to be told that I have to come in at 2pm three weeks from now and sit there for 4 hours because the schedule is backed up. No going to urgent care and paying the higher copay and risking getting really sick from whatever viruses are in the air. No missing work, no driving all over the place, no irritation or annoyance to get some steroid cream to help my skin. This was the easiest thing ever to get doctor help real quick for a minor issue. And the doctor was so nice and easy to talk to, she was knowledgeable and knew exactly what the problem was. I’m a big fan!

Scam. I used the desktop version of this service but came here to warn people about this company. My husband went through the sign up process (which was fairly easy/efficient) and selected the video call. Was told the wait time was less then 30 minutes and displayed name of doctor he would be “seeing”. 15 minutes later, we received an automated phone call stating that the wait would be longer and offering to switch to a phone call instead. We declined and continued to wait for the video call. After another 15 minutes, we opted to switch to the phone call because it was taking too long waiting around the computer. This time the page updated with a different doctor. After another half hour we still were not called. I attempted to use the online chat with customer service to see what was up but no one replied. Husband tried calling customer service but couldn’t talk to anyone until he took a survey where they tried to sell him a cruise....is this a joke????? Checked the activity log and it states that a doctor called us for a consultation. This didn’t occur! We have the phone records to prove it! We ended up cancelling the appointment because it became apparent it was a scam. They charged us $40 for literally NOTHING. Disgusting.

ALWAYS AFRAID TO GIVE ANTIBIOTICS. This used to be a good option for our family because we do not have traditional health insurance. The idea is great. No waiting in a doctor’s office filled with flu germs. It is accessible any time of day or night. You don’t even have to drag your poor, sick child out of bed. I used to love this service and think it was worth the money. Not anymore! I’m not sure who is in charge of when and how many antibiotics can be prescribed, but EVERY time one of my family members are sick, we are told that it is viral and no antibiotic. So what is the use of this service if we can’t get an antibiotic when we are sick? Just to let you know, because we don’t have traditional health insurance, we do everything we can at home to treat our symptoms first before we seek out medical attention. All of us, even our little 5 year old, wash out our sinuses with saline rinses, gargle, and take more vitamins than anyone else I know. If we call in and ask for medicine, it’s because one of us is feeling really badly and the home remedies have not worked. Most of the time the home remedies do work, but in the few cases when they don’t, we just need an antibiotic! In today’s world, no one has the luxury of staying in bed for a week to 10 days waiting for the sickness to run its course!

A mental lifesaver. We live on the road and I could not do so without MDLIVE. It truly allows us to live the way we want to. I can’t put into words how grateful I am, that we finally have mental help on the move. It has been too long coming. I hate that it has taken a pandemic to open these avenues. But it has made such a beautiful difference for those of us that want to live away from a doctors office. Update: we now have a landing place so I can call without having to worry about the location. To have the ability to speak to someone like my therapist, is priceless for two reasons; I could not afford to go to a therapist often and because there are just reasons why you can’t share your feelings even with your family. When brother died, I didn’t know how to handle it, but with Violet, she just let me dump it out and appreciate that the grief is as strong as the love, and that I am going to be OK. I was able to make an appointment that day! Having bipolar ism, this avenue is a lifesaver.

Just go to your doctor or urgent care if you can. I had a sinus infection for a while. It progressed after a while, which is normal, I had blood in my mucus, I felt dehydrated and tired, headache, etc. I was told to get some meds over the counter. (Usually I’m provides antibiotics to clear it up). I was called back for a check up because of the negative survey and explained. I was told another doctor would contact me for a second opinion. She said the same thing and if the sinus infection was still there or didn’t get better in 5 days they’ll give me antibiotics and a credit to my account. GUESS WHAT!!!! It’s well beyond 5 days and guess who still have their sinus infection? This person. Don’t waste your money and time. The consults were only like 5 minutes. I was skeptical at first because it wasn’t in person but everyone don’t always have the means to use other options. Sadly I should’ve made a way. The worst copay I have ever paid, I honestly feel like I was scammed in a way, like they take your money to provide you with information.

So much easier than seeing a doc in person. I have used MDLIVE twice, and both times were great experiences. The first time was for a terrible sore throat. I was sure it was strep throat, so I wasn’t sure if they could treat it. But in about 5 minutes, the doctor confirmed it was strep and sent a prescription for antibiotics to the pharmacy 4 blocks from my house. I couldn’t believe it! The second time was for a UTI — exact same experience. Getting treated for these things without it eating up my whole day felt like a miracle, and the doctors didn’t rush me AT ALL. They were both happy to answer all my questions (I had several, but it still only took 5 minutes from start to finish). I don’t think I’ll ever drive to my doctor again unless i absolutely have to.

Video consultation. I called one of the doctors here because my primary doctor is out sick. Once I made the appointment, I had a phone call less than five minutes. The doctor was very nice very helpful and helping me try to figure out what type of ear infection that I had so he could get me the right medication. I was on the video call with the doctor for a total of 9 minutes and he has called me in a prescription to hopefully resolve my ear infection issue. If you’re having minor issues, this is an amazing solution without having to go to urgent care wait in line and pay a deductible. video call with the Dr literally cost me five dollars and the problem solved. I couldn’t be happier with my choice and trying this option.

Error?. I’ve utilized the services you help provide for about 3 years now, and I can honestly say thank you for all of the work you do for the working class. There has never been a time-until now- when I’ve been dissatisfied with the product you’re putting out. I would like to know why I’m no longer able to connect with a medical professional anymore; I go through the process to make sure I can be seen and am met with a notification that says “we are unable to complete your request.” If you could please tell me what I can do to rectify this situation it would be a boon for me. Thank you again for all of your hard work and I look forward to hearing from you...Cheers.

HATE THIS PLATFORM AVOID AT ALL COAT. If there was a zero or negative star this would be usually for my situation. You know they started out good and I actually liked this service. Then a bug from MDLIVE end hit my account (at least that’s what I’m assuming). Since the incompetent paid technical jokers weren’t able to rectify that issue I had to stop using the platform. I emailed, called, complained, took every measure I possibly could since not being able to access my portal from March 2020 until I finally got tired of their lackluster concern to fix my problem and told them to deactivate me from the platform late May 2020. You would think with reaching out over 20+ times and promises of having the issue rectified would’ve been something quick to handle but obviously it is not. So, even though I liked the Dr who was treating me I had to go back to DrOnDemand since MDLIVE Can’t get their bull rap together. Again use at your own risk but at any chance you can no longer access your account just move on to another platform TRUST ME it’s easier then waiting on their Sorry 🤭.

Dr. Angela Jacobs. My appointment experience with Dr. Jacobs was extremely positive. She listened to my concerns and history and asked relevant questions. I informed her that I have been stable on a long-term basis. I felt comfortable with our rapport and relationship and asked if she would be willing to see me once every three months to check in and refill my current prescriptions. I was thrilled to get her confirmation that she could take me on as a patient to meet my existing needs on an ongoing basis. It was also very reassuring to hear from her that I should reach out should any new concerns or developments develop in the interim prior to our next appointment. Having a good mental team means the world to me. I look forward to working with Dr. Jacobs in maintaining my mental health needs along with my ongoing therapy appointments with my psychologist.

Wasting of time Don’t use if you’re really sick. Tried for first time because my kids and I were too sick to drive to the doctor’s office. Wait time was supposed to be 15mins, ended up waiting an hour and half and have to call in to get the doctor to join the call. Connection was so bad couldn’t understand anything doc said...something about sending prescription over to my pharmacy. 2hrs later my prescription was not at my pharmacy, called in to WebMD, 4 hrs later, still nothing, called webMD again...8 hrs later still nothing. I wasted entire day suffering in pain, calling back and forth and ended up buying over the counter medicine in the evening. It’s been two days and still no prescription sent to my pharmacy. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. One more thing. Needed a doctors note for my kids school, WebMD customer service said it will be ready in my account soon.... a day later still nothing came! Ridiculous service!

Quick, Convenient, and Great Customer Service!. I have been fighting a UTI for 3 days that I’ve been trying to treat without antibiotics. However, after 2 nights of NO sleep, excruciating burning/pain and sitting on the toilet all night, I registered for MDLIVE through my insurance provider at 3 am. I downloaded the app and was set up in maybe 5 minutes! Personal info, medical history, height/weight, and symptoms all very quickly and easily. I selected a doctor to talk with at 6:30am. He cancelled at 6:30 and I got a little worried, until I received a text confirmation and immediately Dr. Honig was calling. She was super helpful and had exceptional customer service. After a 3 to 5 minute phone call, she was sending a prescription for an antibiotic to my pharmacy listed on my profile and she was giving me other advice/tips to help in the mean time (AZO/probiotics/etc). This service is so convenient especially when you can’t leave your house to go to the doctor or work. Life saver! Thanks so much Dr. Honig and MDLIVE!! - Shelby

Don’t believe the bad reviews. I had pink eye and was going to go to the walk-in clinic, but my mom had recommended I do a virtual visit. When I went to download the app the first review was a horrible review from someone with pink eye and after reading some more reviews people had left bad comments. I was weary and was going to go to the clinic, but my mom said I should at least give it a try and I’m so glad I did!! This was the coolest, fastest and most pleasant doctors visit ever! I was seen in less than 15 minutes from sign up and my check up lasted less than 10. I saved money and was thoroughly impressed with how everything went. Before I could walk from my living room to my office I had a prescription called in and a sick note for work. This is the way of the future!! You guys are awesome!!

Doctors still do house calls!!. We recently moved and wasn’t established with a local doctor yet. My 15 year old dgtr had a horrific sore throat with the back of her throat covered in white patches. I took her to Urgent Care. They said her Rapid Strep was negative, I knew it was wrong... She was sooo sick and they refused antibiotics. Her head was so full of liquid, her eyes were constantly draining fluid along with her nose!! One of my friends is an administrator at a local college. She praised this app and it’s awesome convenience! I set it up, put in our insurance info in and Shazam!! I was in touch with a live doctor within minutes!! I even sent him a close up shot of her nasty looking throat. He concluded she was very in need of an antibiotic ASAP!! He electronically sent a script to the local pharmacy within minutes! I can honestly say, I won’t ever go back to another Urgent Care again!! I am a very happy Mom knowing I have a Doctor who does “House Calls” 24/7!!! Thank you very much and continue your great work!! I am forever grateful that I have you at my fingertips!!

Good care. Some app confusion. My web browser said I was checked in and wait would be over 3 hours. It provided test for my camera, microphone, and speakers. Was expecting a phone call when provider was ready based on messages received. Looked at browser again 20 minutes later to see if the time would countdown to help me keep track, and last line said to be sure to log in to app. Downloaded app, logged in and before I could pushed anything a phone call came through telling me I had 3 minutes to log in because my appointment was accepted. Then both the app and browser were trying to access my camera and microphone, and showing my video. Both kept saying provider has arrived, but I had no audio or video of the provider. App said to enable notifications and wait and to stop checking in. I finally closed the browser and app and then had to log in to app again. After that login I started talking to a doctor almost instantly. He gave me three scripts to help with my ear and sinus infections. Glad I didn’t have to wait three hours, but still not sure what I needed to do differently, as I think I followed all prompts and directions directly. Great service though. Got scripts waiting at pharmacy without having to leave my bed.

Misleading. I recently gave a call in for simple symptoms of the common cold and while speaking to the doctor he advised that it was his personal decision not to prescribe an antibiotic and I stated that was ok and asked what next step I should take. He advised that I would need to set up another call, so I did. I had to contact the hotline due to the “24hour rule” and was told that another doctor would reach out to me to see about the antibiotic/steroid I was requesting. After waiting, a representative reaches out to me, I tell them my experience and that the previous doctor and phone representative tell me I may speak to another doctor to discuss the symptoms only for her to tell me I had to wait another 24 hours to even be eligible to speak to another doctor. I recommend to just rely on your family physician or urgent care so they can actually see your symptoms face to face. This application might be good if you’re needing very basic medication. **updated** I received a response stating they would further this response to a medical director. I emailed the email they requested and it states “this organization only allows emails from people within its organization”.... again, my response above wouldn’t change.

Messed up. This is really messed up. I’ve been a customer for years and your app keeps changing. Before I could message my doctor, then I couldn’t and now I can do that again. Seriously, stuck to something. Now, I can’t even confirm my Psychiatrist‘s appointment cause it keeps getting declined, even though I switched my credit cards a couple of times, just to get it confirmed. Same thing with my psychologist. Do you know how hard it is for me to get used to someone new all the time? It’s been like three psychiatrists already. First one was, it took her a while to renew her license to my state but I couldn’t message her cause you wouldn’t let me, second was, he tried to make an appointment but I didn’t get a notification, so his appointment expired and I couldn’t message him, third one was this…get it together. My now psychiatrist a good one too and I really don’t want to lose her.

Earache/Itchiness. It’s Saturday. My right ear has been uncomfortable and itching like crazy for about 4 days now. Certainly didn’t want to pay $65 copay for urgent care which I thought was my only option until looking at my BlueCross BlueShield Health Insurance plan’s benefits and found that I can speak with a Dr via phone or video from the comfort of my home for only a $15 copay! Prayers answered!!! From the awesome customer service rep that got me registered over the phone, Manisha, to the physician Dalia Saha, it was an awesome experience and jut what I needed! I didn’t have to go anywhere, didn’t have to pay $65, didn’t have to be around sick people, didn’t have to wait, and it took about 5 minutes and the 2 prescriptions are now being filled @ pharmacy! Wonderful experience! 200% recommend!!

Excellent service.. First, a 10 minute wait to see a doctor is unheard of today. It was eight minutes. Second, this doctor actually read my chart and the notes before he came online. That was another first in my experience. Third, he asked the best questions. He asked questions directly related to what was happening to me and what had happened in my recent history that was associated to this call. Fourth, I have a condition that is worsening. He actually broached that fact and the fact that I really need to see a specialist and what the consequences for me are short term and long term. My own PC will not talk to me about my condition. Fifth, he offered an alternative medication that has not been tried and I’m excited about using this med as a short-term treatment until I can see a specialist. Sixth, when he wished me well and hoped that I would feel better soon, it was authentic. He actually hopes that I will get relief and get back on my feet shortly. That was absolutely unique. I don’t know if every doctor in the service is as good as Dr. Lynn, but if they come close, they are better than the majority of doctors out there these days in my experience.

Horrible service. I scheduled an appointment for 2:45 and waited to be called as I was told. 2:45 goes by...nothing. Around 2:54 I get a call and I answer immediately. It is then that an automated voice says that connection to the provider was lost. Never heard a human voice just straight to this message. I then get another call saying that I have missed my appointment and that I can be put in a queue for the next available appointment. 3 hour wait. I didn’t miss the call I answered it right away! Near as I can tell the doctor just didn’t want to take my call and said screw it. I give customer support a call and proceed to wait for about an hour. While I’m waiting I receive a call from mdlive, maybe this is the doctor? Nope just another automated message asking me if I still wanted to be in the queue. Left my spot in line for customer service just to confirm my spot in the 3 hour queue. They proceed to call me about every 30 minutes to confirm that I still want to be in it. God forbid if you couldn’t answer the phone they would just go ahead and remove you from it. Horrible design and a horrible establishment.

Not Reputable. I tried to get an appointment at 8PM last night but didn’t understand the process and finally scored an appointment at 9:56PM last night. They said it would be a 3 hour wait. I got a call every 30 minutes asking if I wanted to cancel my appointment- until about midnight. I thought they would call but finally fell asleep. I woke up about 6AM and checked the app for my wait time. It said 15 minute wait. After 20 minutes I checked again to see my wait time. It became a 30 minute wait time ... so I called customer and got through. (Something I had not been able to do since making an appointment) and there was a nice man named James who apologized profusely about 9 hour wait. He then recommended I schedule a time appointment (why couldn’t I do that in the first place) for 12:30 - which would be quicker than a next available. Oh my word! So I decided to do it anyway since I was still having symptoms even though I was feeling better. I got a call back 10 minutes later saying there was a mistake and the doctor couldn’t do it over a text gone call. Had to be video chat so now they were rescheduling until 4:30PM - you know, right about the time pharmacies are closing because of Corona. I decided to take it anyway. Finally feel better and just canceled. I completely understand that there are back ups due to Corona but my wait time was completely ridiculous and they did not handle this in a professional way. They are not reputable in my opinion.

Unhappy customer. I tried MDLIVE out for the first time about a lump under my eye. I waited over an hour before I got an electronic message stating MDLIVE was busy and would call me back at a certain time. I received call after call informing that they were going to call. What the hey?? Hours after my initial call I finally spoke with a dr. She told me that she needed to see my eye. I initially asked for a virtual appointment but after waiting hours to schedule an appointment all they had left was a phone call appointment. The dr asked if I had upload pictures. I told her I tried but I couldn’t figure out how to upload them. I asked her how to upload the pictures. She didn’t know how. She said she would get someone to call me and explain how to upload the pictures. I knew I would never get that call. The dr sounded rushed and irritated. I called customer service and told them what happen and they said they would refund my money. Now 6 months later I am getting a bill for $45. On the bill it stated that the dr advised me to see my primary dr right away. She never said that. She did not give me any advice at all. I am so disappointed. This was the first time using this service and it was a flop. I ended up going to an Urgent Care center that charged me $180 because I had Cigna insurance. WITHOUT insurance the visit would have been $140!!! Completely disappointed.

Great concept but rough experience. I was pumped to use this service, but had a bit of a trying time. Got all set up and was waiting for doctor to enter the video chat. Had to wait quite a while (which I don't mind, but the steps led me to assume there was no wait, just wish it was clearer). When a doctor finally appeared, I entered the chat, yet the doctor couldn't see or hear me, and then hung up. I had to call customer service (they were very friendly and helpful) and they got me set up in line again. Had to wait again maybe 15 minutes. Got into my video consult and all was going well. No complaints with doctor, professional. About half way through, the doctor told me he couldn't hear me anymore. He tried leaving and coming back in to the chat but we couldn't fix the issue. Finished consult with me nodding or shaking head and giving thumbs up. Would love to use this service again but hesitant with the IT issues.

What happened???. We had great experiences on this app until now. Used to see a quality provider quickly. Now the wait time is hours, even though the app consistently says less than 10 minute wait time. The provider appointment I had previous to this message I am leaving now was very bad. I waited hours for a rushed provider who did not have time for me and hung up on me before I could clarify or ask any questions. When I tried to contact the provider through the app (as there is an option to do so) I received a message that said patients can not leave messages. What?? I do not recommend this to others unless they return to the quality of service they once had. Something has gone terribly wrong and this is not what it once was.

Video therapy sessions. This is my third time using the MDLIVE for my therapy session. At first I found the technical aspect of learning how to navigate the website very challenging. I had difficulty understanding how the whole thing worked there were no instructions on how to get to the therapist and how to handle technical issues on my IPhone. I found that I needed to remember to refresh my screen every five minutes or the picture would freeze. Or to turn off my notifications or the picture would freeze up or go black. Then you would have to hit the exit app button on the phone. Also, turn off your smart watch or the audio will go to it. Actually it’s better to just turn off your Bluetooth altogether for a video chat. I love the two therapists that I have. They’re very professional and were quick to make me feel comfortable. They asked smart questions and were attentive when I answered them. They gave me exercises that were easy to do and challenging. I think that 45min is not enough time for the first two sessions. I had so much trauma in the past that once I got started it was hard to stop talking in the 45 minutes allowed. I think a wider assortment of specialists is needed. This should be expanded once the kinks are worked out. I love the fact that I’m safe at home when I’m talking about my trauma and that I don’t have to drive home with tears running down my face trying to drive while trying to get myself together. That’s the best part.

Great Resource To Find Mental Health Professionals. Choose from a large list of mental health professionals. Each has a bio with education and specialty information. Choose your therapist and make an appointment through the app. Most therapists offer video sessions, which I highly recommend. It’s all done through the app, just enable your camera & mic when prompted. You will receive appointment reminders. I encourage you to be courteous and do not miss your appointment. You can always cancel if you need to, but don’t blow off people that are dedicated to help you. If you want or need to you can choose another therapist from the database if you wish and make another appointment. After meeting 3 therapists if found one that is a perfect fit for me and look forward to working with her.

Inaccurate wait times.. every single time.. I have used this app quite a few times for both of my toddlers. Usually when I have been home alone with them while my husband has our car at work or when we just find it more convenient to wait at home than at an urgent care.. it has worked out well when we are finally able to get an appointment or provider on the phone. Every single time I use this app to speak with a provider, it says the wait time is less than 10 minutes… but I wait for 2 or more hours. I have waited four hours for a provider before. Is this not supposed to be more faster and more convenient? It has made me feel like saying forget it and driving them and waiting at an actual facility which is highly inconvenient and unsanitary

Not a bad app. So I’m feeling horrible today, and had received an email from my insurance provider recently to sign up for this app. I downloaded it, and while it took awhile to get all my info into the system, it was easy enough to follow the instructions. Once I did that, I requested an “appointment” immediately. I requested video but ended up on a phone call instead. From the request to the end of the call was less than an hour. It would have ordinarily been a trip to the ER 25 miles away, and then sitting in a waiting room with other sick people with who knows what diseases for another 2-3 hours. This was far better. The doctor was kind, knowledgeable, understood my illness, and provided help. I would use it again because we don’t have a close enough ER. The only downfall was my insurance was not listed. It should have been because my insurance provider sent me an email about it. That doesn’t make sense to me. I paid through an FSA program. Still ... that needs to be fixed. All in all, a good app.

Go to Urgent care instead.. I was hesitant to try MDLIVE but was reassured by their customer service that if it was an issue that they could not manage via online consult I would be refunded. During the consult the Dr. was very good, and very polite, but due to the limitations of telehealth was not able to help me determine any method of treatment for my condition. It was recommended that I go see a physician in person. This was not a referral to a specialist or a greater level of care, just a lateral transfer to an physician of the same qualifications who could manage my health issue in person. This outcome is understandable but earlier I had been reassured by MDLive’s Customer Service Rep that in cases that the could not treat patients would be refunded. When I contacted MDLIVE and explained the situation to their case manager they were unwilling to provide a refund but she was more than willing to engage in a long argument. I would recommend skipping MDLIVE and going to your see you local Dr or Urgent care instead. No need to pay MDLIVEs fees only to pay again when they send you to see a Dr in person who can repeat the exact same consult just without the limitations of Telehealth. In the future I’ll save the extra fees and just go to urgent care or my primary the first time. I am quite displeased by MDLIVE and their customer service.

Fantastic experience and would return!!. I started to notice a UTI was beginning and with it being a holiday break I decided to try MDLIVE. Downloaded the app and created my account. I added my pharmacy and answered a few health questions. Next, I paid the $75, and within 5 min I was talking to a lovely Doctor. She asked some questions, and I answered. She then sent over my prescriptions to the pharmacy. All along this process, I received an email of my receipt of payment, email notification the doctor sent over my orders to the pharmacy, email of appointment completed. I received about 30 min later a phone call from CVS that my medication was ready for pick up ... and I did all this in my PJs and slippers at home. This is not something I would have done if I had never had a UTI before but having them throughout my life I know what to expect.

Refund taking months to process. MDLIVE associated my account with a wrong insurance company and billed my credit card directly with the entire amount without sending to my insurance company. When I talked to my insurance company they told me that our sessions were covered and we shouldn’t be paying so much. It was a pain dealing with MDLIVE representatives to correct the account. MDLIVE blamed my insurance company for it!! After several phone calls to MDLIVE finally someone figured out that the account was not associated with the right insurance company and closed it and opened another one because they couldn’t change the insurance company. How ridiculous is that?! I have made several phone calls to MDLIVE, even had my insurance company representatives on conference calls for over an hour multiple times to resolve the matter and have a refund issued. A “supervisor” called to say it’s still not processed!! It’s been a year since my last appointment with a provider via MDLIVE. If I could give a negative rating I would!! Very disappointed in the customer service. They just keep giving me the run around and dragging their feet on this. I do NOT recommend MDLIVE to anyone!!

Fraud. I wish there was a no star option... I logged on my insurance providers website and they had this WDLive on there so I did it thinking I could save money... Complete mistake... I downloaded the app and did everything the text message said... Also said it was going to be a 3 hour wait... In between the three hour wait I received three phone calls stating if I choose to still seek a consultation then press 1 and so I did... The last call I received nothing was said and just a simple hang up and then I waited and waited finally checked my email and it stated my appointment was canceled after I did not answer the phone call... I’m like I see you took your money already and so I called and the lady said she has no record of me... What a nightmare... I’m going tomorrow to dispute a charge on my bank account and reporting this to the better business bureau and see if this place can be looked at for malpractice or something ASAP...

Best thing ever lemme tell you why. Prices are amazing! I have a busy schedule and it’s 1030 at night and I noticed I have a very bad bug bite on my toe where it burns and it’s bruising and there wasn’t any possible way I can see a doctor with my work schedule and the office being closed because it’s Thursday night . I work Friday while my doctors office is open and they are closed on the weekend and Monday is a holiday. I was desperate to know what it was without having to go to the emergency room ( don’t want the bill) . I used MDlive filled out a couple things had a doctor call me in less then 5 minutes. I sent photos of my bugbite so she could see it too! She gave me some meds and now I can sleep easy knowing my foots not going to fall off. Cause I would hate to be footless.

Waste of money/no treatment. I selected an appointment with a doctor based on my filtered results. The doctor I selected didn’t call, instead it was another doctor and he called 20min after my scheduled appointment time. This doctor couldn’t tell me if I would be charged for trying to locate my original doctor or not, so I decided to stay on the call. He advised me to visit an urgent care facility for what he thought sounded like a sinus infection. This call cost me $59. Urgent care cost is $90. I explained the reason I wanted to use MDlive was because it was cheaper and that I didn’t have the additional money to pay for urgent care. He said he would not prescribe me antibiotics and apologized for not being able to do anything but offer advice. I wish I never signed up, took the call or wasted money on this service. Now I’m still sick and don’t have enough to seek medical help at an urgent care. The reason I signed up was because I have Cigna insurance but still was charged $59 for a call from the wrong doctor who didn’t help me in anyway. Update: Tried to email the address provided in the response from “App Developer” for further help and this email address does not accept incoming emails from anyone. More frustrated than before - bad service all around.

So convenient and truly a blessing. MDLIVE app is truly a great app to use here I am sick for the past two weeks and unsure on what’s going on (sinus infection) I had been dealing with it for at least 2 weeks and OTC medicine wasn’t doing anything. No one but god laid it on my heart to login to my BCBSTX and see about virtual visit and it was great easy and simple. First registering was easy and simple I was able to do it for my family also. Then wait time was less then 10 minutes which was a super plus immediately the doctor called and listened to all I had to say about my condition and prescribed me exactly what I was hoping for. I will most definitely use MDLIVE again.

No transparency in billing costs. Had I know that there would be a fee upfront for the doctor’s call over telehealth, I would not be writing this review. After a recent health scare in 2020, I reached out to MDLIVE. The first screen I got when I opened MDLIVE was how much will I pay screen which told me $0. The video connection was terrible the doctor had to call me to speak to me over the phone. The doctor looked stressed, overworked, and wasn’t that friendly. Then a month later to my surprise I find out I have a Bill from MDLIVE. Be open, honest, and transparent. Don’t say total cost for this visit is $0 when there may be a cost later. At least put a disclaimer saying you post nothing now but a few may be assessed later. COVID has made things tough already, and to not be upfront about a cost for money I don’t have sets me back even more with my financial burdens caused by 2020. Incredibly disappointed with the lack of open transparent communication of costs upfront. Unethical, wrong, and completely disgraceful!

Only reason not 5 stars is billing issues. I have absolutely no issues with my MDLIVE psychotherapist. He is a great listener and provides sound advice and insights. 5 stars for him! My only critique of the service is related to billing. For a long time, MDLIVE was not recognizing my health insurance and billing me the full cost of my therapy appointments. (In their defense, the issue may have stemmed from a delay in processing from my insurer.) The issue somewhat improved a few months ago in that if I waited to confirm the appointment requests from my therapist after a few days, the requested charge updated to just the co-pay (as it should be). A couple times the correct charge displayed immediately but issue is happening again. When I called MDLIVE to report that I was overcharged for several appointments, they immediately refunded the overcharges.

Don’t trust them!. I signed up with my insurance i used them 2 times and I was not charged as the insurance covers the entire bill for MDlive. I signed my husband up with the same insurance he used it twice and was charge $75 each time. I used it a third time and was charged $75. I called to talk to a billing agent. Guess what? There is no billing agent to talk to. I took screen shots of all the charges talked to my insurance they did not understand why I was being charged either. All I was told by MDlive customer service was they would put a complaint in and if it is deemed necessary someone from billing would contact me. I was never contacted. It is a scam. Also, I called because I was feeling very sick, the Dr. said I didn’t have a fever so they weren’t going to do anything. 3 days later I was still sick and had a fever I called back and the Dr. I spoke to was mad that I called back because I developed a fever and was getting worse. I will never use this service again. It is a total scam.

Things You Should Know. Do you have an IPhone? The call goes straight to voicemail. This would have been helpful to know and saved me time. When I finally called customer service to ask she said that something needs to be turned off. I gave another number and waited...waited...waited...and then cancelled. The doctor then called and I told him my symptoms (it’s a sinus infection...which I already knew) and would like to suggest that it would save time to be able to check off any symptoms in advance, which might help the doctor save time in diagnosing. This could result in lower backed up call times. Plus, some directions on fixing the iPhone glitch would be helpful. Anyway, it took so long to get a doctor that the pharmacy was closed by the time I got through with the appointment, so this morning I was able to go pick it up. Overall, doctor was fine (no personality, but frankly I don’t care), however the wait time was long and the iPhone glitch is silly.

Difficult to use and not a timely response. The app itself was not intuitive. I added insurance information but it did not bring over my dependents. In a regular office I had the, the card and they have my full coverage. Set up an appointment as we could not add a family member, waited over and hour for a dr to say they could not help with a jammed finger for my daughter because it was under my name. Still charged me though. Went back through and got her added started a new appt which took 1:5 hours to get and the dr indicated he would provide her a note for gym class. Fast forward and she is getting ready for school, there is not notes in her account, certainly not her excuse for gym, and the contact us email for, does not allow you to type in an email address, only chose one and there are no choices so you can’t even reach out. So I was charged twice and did not even get what my daughter needs. Go to a drs office instead. This is a neat idea but execution is horrendous.

Worst experience I have ever had. If there was a zero star option that’s what I’d give it. We needed to see a doctor for our daughter. I remembered our insurance offered free telemedicine through MDLIVE so I gave it a shot. When we got through the initial screening we were told 60+ minutes. We figured that was ok and just settled in. About 30 minutes later it changed to “within 60 minutes “ so we felt like we were progressing. Not long after it told us within 10 minutes. That’s when it all came apart. After waiting 2+ hours, after being told within 10 minutes, we were kicked out of the waiting room. After calling MDLIVE customer service, their agent couldn’t have cared less and only wanted to get us off the phone. Her solution was she could put us back in the waiting room where the wait was 60+ minutes (I could have done that myself). After trying to reason with her, which was as useful as trying to reason with a pile of rocks, I gave up. Congratulations MDLIVE, you win but I will NEVER recommend this service to anyone. Such a waste of time and effort.

Fast easy great!. I was able to get an appointment within 10 minutes of scheduling the request. They do a great job by giving you a phone call when the provider is ready; all you have to do then is log on to the app and your call is good to go. A quick five minute phone call and a breakdown of my history helped explain the medical need for a prescription I have taken half of my life, she was able to prescribe my medically necessary medication for acute symptoms, and recommended I follow up with my primary for a full regular prescription. This certainly helped me being new to the area, new with Optima insurance and not yet having all of my permanent doctors in place yet. This is a super convenient and easy way to keep your health balanced, without even leaving your home!

Never been able to speak to a doc!. I have tried using this app as well as their website as this is supposed to be a replacement for a doctor in most cases. The first two times I got calls whereby I was told there were no doctors—after waiting over an hour both times. The third and final time I tried using the app for a mental health issue after waiting a long time I was called to apologize that I would need to contact my HR department because their psychiatrists aren’t on my plan. The lady on the phone even seemed to be kind of laughing. I live in a community where it is hard to get a general practitioner, a regular doctor, so to speak. I have gone without one for years because of this and this app should be perfect for someone like me who currently can only go to Urgent Care or ER despite having health insurance. It is not. I have tried and tried to use this app. Did you know you can’t get mental health care from Urgent Care or ER? Therefore I have no access to mental health care because this app doesn’t do what it offers. Whether it is your body or your mind, this app will not work for you. Good luck.

Just Go to a Walk In Clinic. I have pinkeye. Not that big of deal to see an online dr and get a prescription for it. Unless, you use MDLIVE. I saw the dr. Took like five minutes. He said he would call in the prescription and it would be ready in about an hour. My eye hurts and he was sympathetic and said he would put it right in. Drove to the pharmacy, not called in. Called MDLIVE and explained. Waited an hour went to the pharmacy. Not called in. Called MDLIVE got it called in but out of stock. Called MDLIVE to get a different prescription called in. Waited an hour. Not called in. So on and so forth. Every time I called I have to explain all this to the person who answers the phone and go through each person trying to figure this out. Not that complicated but taking way to much time. Also, MDLIVE’s phones did not work all morning so I called and called to get disconnected as soon as their phone system picked up. I was told this morning that I would have to have another dr consultation in order to get my prescription. I refused and they did manage to get it called in but something tells me when I go to pick it up it won’t be there. This is the most inefficient dr visit I ever had. So much for making life easier with online dr visits. On a positive note, everyone who I spoke with on the phone was very nice. Just unable to do their job.

Easy to use and great layout of app. I needed an urgent care for my son’s earache and all of the local ones were closed. I knew what the problem was since he has had it before and knew that he just needed an antibiotic. I decided to give this app a try and it was great. I had a video conference with a doctor and she just as, if not more, thorough than most of the other urgent care doctors I’ve taken him to. There’s an option for an electron it claim form download that is mostly already filled out for you to submit to insurance and it also provides a very detailed consultation summary at the end which is also very easy to download to PDF. It is also great at keeping you updated through text, like when your rx has been submitted so that was nice. I’d definitely use them again.

Waste of time!. My employer encourages us to use this instead of going to a Dr or urgent care because it is supposed to save them and me money. Every time I have used them I have experienced long, 1 hour plus, waits. My first attempt to use them the provider on their end couldn’t get their web cam or microphone to work so I had the pleasure of watching her and her husband try to figure it out. I finally gave up and went to urgent care. Today I logged in because I have ear infections in both ears. After waiting for an hour and ten minutes I was connected with a provider that said they could prescribe a nasal spray to relieve congestion. If that’s all I needed I would not have bothered. I know when I have an ear infection, I have experienced many in my life, nasal spray is not going to help. He stated that unless he could see my eardrum he would not prescribe an anti-biotic and that I should be able to purchase a scope that I could use to get an image of my ear drum to him. Sure I could do that, or I could just use that money and go to a live doc that will treat me. I won’t waste my time with these quacks again.

Use over ER/Urgent Care. Unless it's broken or bleeding or both, I use this. MDLive takes care of what I need taken care of like the flu and certain other things without me having to leave home. Half of the time I don't even get out of my pajamas! Seriously, if you're sick it helps you not spread whatever it is you have. It's the best care you can get and depending on your insurance there is no co-pay which I'm 100% OK with. All the doctors I've seen are always super nice and on it. In fact, I've gone to specialists face-to-face who didn't pay half the attention to what I had to say than they do here. HERE they listen.

Been waiting all day. Scheduled an appointment rather then urgent care because I had used before. At 2pm I was scheduled and received 4 phones calls telling me they were running behind-please wait. I even set a scheduled time which came and past. I finally called in and was now told there were no dr. In my area on Sundays- then why let me schedule it in the first place? And why keep saying it was being delayed. And when I called, they told me what was up but get this still asked me if I wanted to keep my appointment for today? I asked the point of this since they did just tell me I wasn’t going to get a call back for today. The rep. Said it was up to me if I wanted to keep it. Talk about stupid. If there are no providers then don’t schedule someone and continually tell them one is coming soon.

My provider was spectacular. My provider not only reached out within minutes but addressed my issues and concerns and gave me actionable advice to begin to resolve them on my own. She also changed my overall mindset about how I viewed my current environment with just a few words and that in and of itself changes my whole outlook on life. I was blessed to have had the privilege to cross paths with such a caring provider. She went FAR ABOVE AND BEYOND the urgent care concern…she cared about my emotional wellbeing.

Extremely helpful. Several times I’ve been in need of medical assistance and either being a weekend or holiday, or not having immediate access to either an ER or Urgent Care I was able to use MDLIVE for myself and my spouse, and was connected with competent caring and insightful medical personnel (doctors & PA’s) who were able to diagnose our issues and provide care when needed most. I’ve been extremely pleased with the service and hope it continues to be available in the future.

Terribly dismissive and misdiagnosed. I paid $50 for a telemed visit on Monday. I selected sore throat and spoke with “board certified doctor”. I told her my symptoms and told her it felt very much like strep throat as I have had it in the past. She assured me it was not strep throat and to let it run its course. Well here we are two days later with symptoms getting worse. I went to a local urgent care and within minutes they identified I had STREP THROAT. Strep can get dangerous if untreated and if I had just continued to take over the counter ibuprofen and Tylenol, and gargled saltwater as I was recommended, I would have never gotten better. I will write this review on every platform I can find. To be dismissed and misdiagnosed just isn’t unacceptable, and to take $50 to boot. Insanity. I will not be back.

Just terrible. I selected my child’s profile, then clicked the get started button. I entered in her health information, and completed the process. Her name was circled with a check mark. When the doc called, he was under the impression that I was the patient, not my child, he insisted that I made mistakes, refused to listen to me at all, and ended the call. Now the health information for me has been changed and reflects my entires for my daughter and I don’t have access to her account. I can’t even change my own information! It’s completely unusable. This is the worst telehealth system I’ve used and I have no other options since our health provider never has open sick visits anymore with the closing of a nearby office. Our family is stuck with no care.

A total swindle - save your time and $. You have to pay up front for your consultation, after doing all the work of entering your medical history, meds, etc. Then you get put into the general queue. My first appointment by video connected for all of 2 seconds, then I got dropped. The provider never attempted to contact me to finish the session. But the app showed the appointment as completed. After calling to complain, I was told I missed the appointment and would need to reschedule. Okay, let’s try the phone option for two hours later. 5 minutes after the scheduled appointment I get an auto-call saying my provider is hung up so do I want to reschedule, or do I want help contacting the provider? Help please. I get disconnected. Call to complain, am told I have a second missed appointment, so I want to reschedule? CRIMINAL. SAVE YOUR TIME AND SANITY.

Helpful. I have had excellent experiences with the two providers I have seen. I was able to get in promptly and received top-notch care. However, I do find the scheduling system to be inconvenient, as I can only see one day at a time instead of a calendar with many options. Therefore, I have to click on each day individually to find an opening (with many days showing no appointments available). I also cannot figure out how to receive notifications when I get a message from the provider. I need to keep logging in to check if I have received a response.

Good app. I use this app for therapy and the only thing that ever goes wrong is sometimes the video chat changes a person’s hair color or glitches out, but only for a moment. It’s good for a laugh, though. It’s funny when someone turns into a glitchy soup or when their hair turns green. Anyway, it’s easy to use, it might just get tedious because you always have to do a two-factor authentification, even when you press the “remember this device” button.

She was wonderful. So many of these doctors have very little bedside manner, and as Americans, we typically require a little sensitivity when we’re not feeling well lol she was very thorough. She repeated my allergies and went through what she was thinking, like narrowing out whether it would be flu or strep, or this or that, and she just gave really good care instructions. As a human being it feels really nice when a doctor is personable and genuine and kind. Thank you … I hope I get to feeling better lol.

First timer and truly impressed. I used this app as last resort because being in high risk pregnancy can make it difficult to go to a doctor, urgent care if you don’t have someone to take you! So I logged in and wrote down my symptoms between an hour I had a doctor calling me and helping me out through my symptoms, also was able to help me find a pharmacy that would deliver to me!!!, I am truly impressed will definitely use this more often. Very helpful, and felt like going to a doctors office just by FaceTime. I loved it! 😃 super convenient!

Truly life changing. I have IEHP, and I received a letter about speaking to a nurse and then a doctor. I thought it was too good to be true. But I used it and I’m so surprised. No more waiting in the urgent care or ER with everyone else. Or awkward stares because your baby is going crazy in the office. You can stay in the comfort of your own home and wait to speak to the doctor. This is so amazing I had to write a review. amazing app and amazing idea. This will help so many people with children (like myself). And many others that just don’t want to sit for three hours waiting in the ER/urgent care.

MDLIVE is great!. When I’m sick the last thing I want to do is go to a doctors office and be around more sick people, especially in current times with all the viruses running amuck. Thanks to MDLIVE I can have an office visit in the comfort of my home. I have waited hours at the doctors office or urgent care to be seen. One of the best things about MDLIVE is there is no long wait. The doctors are professional but also friendly and kind. They listen and discuss your concerns and come up with a treatment plan. I think it’s quite awesome!

Great service. First off, this is basically Uber for doctors - instead of driving cars they’re doing medicine. I’ve used it repeatedly for minor stuff - I generally get one or two sinus infections a year and there’s really no great in person exam for that anyway. You can schedule a time or just get in line and the wait is usually pretty short. I’ve done both. Only complaint is the system seems to be having trouble connecting to BCBSIL to validate insurance for dependents. I couldn’t add them via the app but they could create an account then it magically linked them to my account.

App is fine but…. I could do without receiving 325 emails every time I make or have an appointment. I could do without having to scroll through a 6 page questionnaire every time I want to make or accept an appointment. And now I’m absolutely furious that MDLive is going to start requiring two factor authentication. Accessing therapy should not require so many steps. It’s infuriating. At least let the emails and the two factor authentication be optional. And put the questionnaire on ONE PAGE so I can just scroll to the end and hit next. Nothing ever changes. Sometimes when things aren’t going well, these extra steps feel impossible.

Worst app ever, unable to access to diagnose after paying!. I had an appointment, got charged extra because the app did not get the proper insurance info , and I cannot even get access to the treatment plan. This is a tale of a series of IT and developmet mess-up: Duplicated accounts, Miss-assignment of insurance info, charged extra for the treatment, False advertising (was not phone or video appointment, was offline) no access to the “purchased ased product” The insurance info was wrong even though it was passed by Cigna directly, without my involvement or confirmation. Then after charging me 95 USD, I cannot access the result of my “online” visit. I was supposed to talk to the physician but instead was an offline visit in which I uploaded some pictures of my skin condition. While waiting for the result, the app asks me to register because my email and phone were not registered in the app ( they should have been) and after creating a second account, with the same mail, phone and DOB, I have no access to my treatment plan. These are basic unity tests tb ey should have done !

Convenience is a plus.. After using this app for a virtual visit for my son. I do believe this will be my first choice before trying to set up an appointment at an office. The doctor was very friendly and professional. They have sections to type in symptoms and add pictures of your current condition to help diagnose quickly. I would recommend it to anyone looking to beat the hassle of trying to get into a local provider because let’s face it, it not the easiest thing to do anymore.

We should’ve did this years ago!. My work place sent out a paper showing how we can get a remote doctor if we needed one. This week I got sick with bronchitis and had to see a doctor so I gave the service a chance. I put in all my information and talked to the doctor that called me. I originally though I had pneumonia but I was wrong, I had bronchitis. The doctor sent in my prescription right then on the video call and told me my after care. It was much better than the office waiting area in a traditional doctors office.

Friendly and Thorough. Thank you MDLive. My Doctor took the time to understand my significant medical history and what those complications can cause. She reviewed pictures of my wound and took a very safe course of action, knowing without me saying anything, that I likely could be prone to an infection, she moved to mitigate the risk. I appreciated her caring and professional demeanor. Highly recommend. Also want to compliment Von who did my intake on making me feel very comfortable about using MDLive as I have never done this before and had some technical challenges that her care and professionalism made me comfortable to continue.

Worse than a doctors office. I made a virtual appointment because I haven’t felt good for 10 days, just for the doctor to tell me to ride it out… he then asked me what I wanted him to prescribe…. I didn’t feel well enough to go to the doctor, this virtual appointment made me feel worse. I filled out all of the preappointment questions, just for the doctor to ask me all of those same questions and didn’t even review them. Didn’t mention any other testing besides covid- said he couldn’t give me antibiotics unless I had a raging fever or a cough that wouldn’t go away hunting at pneumonia, Said I should take Sudafed. Seemed to be rushing me off of the phone. I scrambled and named something off the top of my head to have prescribed but that’s not my job- I’m the patient- I don’t know what I need prescribed.

Can’t get prescription. Finally. 3 years after I was told I should keep an eye on my high BP I get the nerve to start tracking my BP for a week and a half. I do this so when I do try a telehealth appointment I’m able to provide enough info to get a prescription. I get my appointment super fast. The dr calls in less than 5 minutes and I’m told that I need to go to urgent care instead. Was so disappointed because that is exactly why I’ve gone 3 years without treatment. I hate going to the dr’s and I do now even more since I moved to a new area and don’t have local dr’s yet. Sooo waste of time and now back to avoiding the dr for a simple prescription to help lower my Blood pressure 😩

Everything worked out perfect. I was skeptical to use after reading mixed reviews, but decided to give it a go. Set up to do call with Dr. message stated approximately 30min wait time, but I only waited maybe 10 minutes if that. Talked to the Dr about my symptoms, what I knew most likely what was going on as I experienced the same thing a year before. Sent photos of issue, Dr confirmed and prescribed antibiotic. I already had set up my pharmacy. Once the pharmacy was open, I waited about 1/2 hour to allow time for them to fill. Went to pick up rx and there was no issue. Seriously saved me so much time today.

Easy and fast service for minor medical issues.. Visiting a doctor in the comfort of my home for minor issues is ideal. The few times we have used MedLive were for things like Pink eye and a bad case of poison ivy. I would think this would be a great option for colds and flu - things you generally know what they are and are not typically life threatening. You don’t have to expose anyone to your illness or wait in a waiting room when you feel bad. For things that could be life threatening definitely go see someone in person.

Waiting time. The Dr that I had was very friendly and efficient through the session. As a customer my only complaint is not knowing how long the wait time is. On other apps it states how many customers are before you. I think that would help with the customer service part of things. The wait time stated under 10 minutes but I was waiting over an hour which is really frustrating. If something could help customers know a better sense of time that would make the experience go a lot better.

Wow!! Efficiency at your fingertips!!. I figured MDLIVE would be amazing if it was as easy as it seemed on paper, but I had my reservations as to whether or not that would be the case. I got a UTI over the weekend and it hit fast and hard and of course my primary physician doesn’t work on the weekend... I figured this would be the perfect time to try MDLIVE. I submitted for a phone appointment and within minutes I was talking with a doctor! She was very thorough with her questions and explained everything clearly. I get frequent UTIs and knew that’s what I had and also know the questions and procedures and medicine my doctor usually prescribes me. This doctor asked the same questions and suggested the exact medicines I usually take. So here I am 15 minutes after I submitted for a phone appointment, doctor visit over, prescriptions sent to my pharmacy, AND finishing a lengthy review. How’s that for efficiency?? Thank you MDLIVE for saving me from my pain and infection and for making this process free of any additional headache or pains. (Haha see what I did there?).

It’s the future of healthcare. My daughter got strep, and my husband and I had it too. We had an evening to get ourselves diagnosed and prescribed so we didn’t have to take her to an after hours clinic, or miss more work to watch her. I did this while my husband went to urgent care. Great experience. I developed pinkeye with the strep (which is common enough for adults I found out) and had to call back. Again great experience. It wouldn’t connect to the video for some reason but the doctor just called my phone and we did it that way just fine. I am never going to urgent care again if I can help it.

App glitches and I got sent to the back of the queue. I spent about 2 hrs waiting for an appointment. When my appointment time came it showed that I was waiting for the dr to join. I waited 30 minutes and after no one joined I decided to restart the app in case it was frozen. Once I reopened the app it showed no appointment. I got an email receipt although I never spoke to a dr, so obviously my insurance is going to be billed for this. I called customer service and they said the best they could do was just put me in the back of the queue and start over. YOUR app glitches after waiting 2 hours and there’s no way to put me back in my place in the queue?! An incredibly frustrating afternoon dealing with this, if I had just gone to urgent care I’d probably be home with my meds already!

Great Resource. My sister who is a pharmacist has been raving about MDLive. So I was feeling like my cold was not getting better and it’s been a week. I was about to drive to an urgycare center but fell into this service. I couldn’t have been happier. The doctor was incredible and diagnosed me in 5 minutes asking key questions. Within the hour I had the meds at my pharmacy. This was one of the better experiences and can see how convenient it is. The only odd thing was when I called to register for the first time the call went into different prompts asking me telemarketing questions. I called back and went right in.

Lifesavers. These doctors know what they are doing and are life savers as far as minor illnesses or injuries. They have also treated my dermatology needs several times until I can get into see my primary physician. If it wasn’t for this service I would’ve have to spend more time and money going to our local same day clinic which isn’t that good anymore or going to the emergency room. So, thank you for taking such great care of me and countless others. I highly recommend this doctor service!

Introverts with anxiety - We can do it. I have never sought medical care for my problems simply because the idea of talking to someone about these concerns is overwhelming. Finding a place and doctor, getting to the appointment on time, sitting and waiting and dreading. I couldn’t do it. This app has made me overcome only one fear instead of tackling 7 just to get there. I logged in. I typed info and answered questions. I spoke to a doctor in 5 minutes. I am excited about my future care and happy to know I can connect with someone so quickly and I don’t have to worry.

Better than expected!. Since my insurance company partnered with MDLive, I thought it was just going to be quacks on video. I am so happy I was wrong!!! I have had very helpful and started many long term relationships with doctors and therapists in the last 3 months. My mother-in-law and I have both found new psychiatrists, psychologists, routine care (refills, yearly blood work, etc) specialists, and even great urgent health care needs met. Each doctor in your app is specifically licensed in your state which is great to know. I feel we are being well cared for with the addition of these doctors to our “normal” in-person visits.

First Time MDLive User. My primary care physician moved a little over a year ago and I haven’t seen a physician for a little while now. After getting one of the worst colds I have ever had and having sinus and congestion issues hanging on for 3 to 4 weeks, I decided to give MDlive a shot, since my insurance covers it and I don’t have a primary care doctor. I had an opportunity to meet with Dr Mulligan over video. She was personable, very knowledgeable, and helpful. She discussed possible issues, got me a prescription ordered, and even helped with refilling some of my maintenance asthma medications. It was super easy and helpful.

A joke... At first I was excited about the convienance of this ap.. cost less than an urgent care so I tried it.. I took doctors advice that it was just a viral infection, got meds and treatments together..but as night went on I had goop coming out of my eyes so I asked to speak to doctor within 24 hours.. he convienantly did not respond within the two hours fast enough so it was past the 24 hour mark.. thus making me have to pay to speak to him again then acted as if I was begging for antibiotics when I needed a simple pink eye remedy or drops sent to a pharmacy .. no help and customer service just apologized nothing more .. I do not recommend this because they don’t honor the idea of getting you well only the double payment they’re looking for .. to bad I was excited about using this with my whole family in the future.. nope!!!

Easy peasy!. Incredibly easy from beginning to end. Download the app, search for the doctor you need, book a time. On the day of your appointment, you get a text reminder. Open the app and your appointment is right there waiting for you. It tells you when your doctor is ready, click the Join button, and talk to a professional instantly. Call quality was great. Service and support was incredibly fast. Thank you for making this app. I hope it helps as many people as possible!!

Waste of time!. I’ve used this service a few times since the pandemic happened & literally every single time (with the exception of a heat rash that I was given nystatin powder ONE TIME) I was told “go to er” and this is for sore throat pain, headache, earache and other minor stuff which can & should be able to be handled by a doctor if they are actually competent at their jobs. And NO, if you’re asking - never have I asked for an opioid rx - one time I did ask them if meloxicam works well for treating throat pain - better than Motrin because it wasn’t helping and I had meloxicam from a shoulder injury (it’s a friggin NSAID people) and the doctor told me I had to ask my doctor or go to the ER to find out….say what!!?? God, I’m getting rid of my idiot HMO & switching to a PPO because I can’t take these morons anymore

Amazing Customer Care. I’m out of state on vacation and ended up with a UTI. My account had been closed for some reason, but my Customer Care Specialist did not give up making this work for me! I wish I could remember hee name. We were on the phone for over an hour and she was patient, kind, professional, and relentless at making this work for me! I appreciate hard working and caring people like her. She is a God send! The provider was great as well. Thank you for all of your help!

It needs one more essential component. I just used this app and the Doctor was great. He sent me a consultation summary, a total of 4 pages, and here is where the app needs to improve. The app doesn’t give you an option to do anything with that summary, you can’t print it or to export this summary to e-mail, pfd, another app or anything. You pretty much can’t do anything with the information. In my case, I wanted to directly print the summary through my printing app, so I ended up doing a screenshot instead, but it’s not the same than having it on pdf or directly printed. Please add this feature within the app. It is essential. The rest is great.

Great service but lousy app. Had a perfect case for this service and since my health insurance offered the service at no charge we tried it out. First went to the website using a browser on the iPhone (safari) and could not complete the sign up due to the website not being “mobile ready”. I then downloaded the app and almost was able to schedule a call until I was required to check acceptance to the terms. The iPhone app would not allow me to check that box. The app was not fully compatible with IOS. I then scheduled the call with the friendly and helpful csr and we had a call and a prescription ready to be picked up in an hour. My cost was $5.00. Awesome! Great service. The technology company however should be fired. Why should I trust you with my families health when you cannot even have a proper web form or iOS app. Inexcusable!!

Ridiculously Painless. Going to the doctor takes a lot of effort when you aren’t feeling well: showering, getting dressed, getting in the car, driving, waiting in a a waiting room… you know. Using MDLIVE so such a better option. I explained my symptoms, received a prescription, and completed my visit in less time it would’ve taken me to shower. Using the app makes the whole experience even more painless because it stores all of your information for future visits. All in all, excellent experience.

Don’t bother- they don’t help you. They say they are 24/7 however if you have a technical problem don’t bother trying to contact them on the weekend. I have been trying to get in contact with a supervisor and have been told that he would call me back- 5 hours later no phone call. The customer service basically said they couldn’t help me with my problem; the problem was that I would sign up for an appointment, get a confirmation, and then I would get an email saying that I had missed the appointment. No one ever called me. This happened 4 times and no phone all each time. I don’t want to go to urgent care however I have to since they told me IT isn’t in until Monday morning. So long story short don’t get sick on a weekend and don’t expect them to help you if you have an issue with their system.

I wish it worked.. I was called by a robo call saying “please hold for your provider.” While on hold, I received a call from the same number so switched over to take it and it was another robo call stating I had missed my call from my provider. Switched back and waited on hold for over 10 min. Called MDLive and they offered to put me back in the que, but could not provide an answer regarding what happened. All she would say is “we have had problems with our system in other areas.” I did finally receive a phone call from a doctor who would only vaguely answer questions, and just said “see another doctor.” Overall, a waste of time and money. It’s a great concept, just seems like they need some serious IT work.

Still waiting. I was also excited about this app. I have been feeling rough and knew immediately it was a sinus infection. I downloaded the app and filled out all my information. I scheduled an appointment at about 11:13am. It stated that 30 minutes or less a doctor would be with me. I got the automated calls and the text messages but it is now 7:59pm and I am still waiting. Edit: I was finally contacted at 8:47pm after I called customer service. The medical provider was very helpful and answered all my questions. I will pick up my prescription tomorrow and hope it works. Increased my rating because I was finally contacted and I appreciated the medical provider.

Not able to select the gender of your provider. You can’t select the gender of your provider. Sure, this shouldn’t matter, but if you’re a woman who has ever had to see a doctor, you know that it does. For some reason it’s easy to be dismissed by “care providers,” and the hurried nature of this teledoc service only compounds that issue. I’ve also had issues with this app and their website being really buggy. If you don’t have a medical issue that needs someone with ears, a heart, and experience to treat, then this service is fine. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere.

Therapy appointments. I’m very pleased with this program. I was not wanting to do virtual appts at first because I had only had face to face therapy previously, but like every one else I’m learning to live in this new post Covid world. My therapist Candace is very compassionate while I’m talking and she gives helpful and thought provoking feedback. The follow up questions she asks at the end of the sessions make me think more about what is upsetting to me. I’m very pleased with this program and would recommend it to friends and family that need help.

MDLive. It was very simple to use. The doctor was friendly and helpful. I got a prescription without having to wait for an appointment then drive to the doctor’s office, then wait again in the office. I didn’t want all that hassle when I knew I just needed a prescription. It worked out well since I was about to leave town for the holidays and knew it would be difficult to get an appointment at my Doctor’s office with Christmas just a couple days away.

Remarkable service!. I’ve never used a service like this before. I have what my wife thinks is a sinus infection going on the second week now. We don’t have insurance (self-employed but a disabled vet with a hospital about an hour away) but do have MediShare. My wife urged me to fire this app up and see what they can do. Sure enough, all the symptoms say sinus infection and doc called in a prescription. So an hour ago I was holding this phone not sure if this would work. Now, an hour later I’m at my closest pharmacy picking up a prescription for antibiotics! Best thing is with medishare it’s included with our monthly fee. No stupid urgent care or filthy and apathetic VA hospital!

Need to improve your customer service systems. What started as an awesome experience through use of technology ended up a disaster when I had to pick up my prescription. The doctor confirmed that the prescription was sent to Walgreens, I later chatted with customer service who again confirmed that the prescription was sent to Walgreens, I show up at Walgreens and they don’t have it, I called customer services who confirmed a third time that the prescription was sent to Walgreens, that they confirmed receipt and that they should check their logs, the Walgreens staff telling me they don’t have it and me with customer service on the phone arguing back that they do, when in fact, the prescription has been sent to a different pharmacy. 😞😞😞

What a trash fire. I’ve used a different app before and it was SO simple to use. Then my husbands company switched insurance companies and they want us to use this app instead. I’ll just go sit in the waiting room at the doctors office. It takes less time than getting an account set up on this piece of trash app! It wants information that is not listed on our insurance card so I called their customer service number. They told me that I have to call the insurance company to get that specific number. So I did and the insurance company has no clue what I’m talking about or what this app is asking for! Just go see a doctor. You’ll be healed before trying to set this stupid thing up. **update: was asked to contact but they did not leave information on how to do that. When you click the link to contact support for the app, it says page not found...**

Great service and good providers. Yes, it’s great to have an appointment and not have to worry about traffic before the appointment starts. Also, from my limited exposure, the providers are good. The app is easy to use, however there is an issue I have. It’s the appointment reminders! I must receive 15 notices prior to an appointment. The notices are in the form of text messages, emails, and robo-calls. These notices drive me crazy. I’ve had to filter emails and block numbers to have these reminders appear silent. Hey MDLIVE, stop it stop it stop it. Okay, rant done.

Lifesaver!. Due to Covid, walk in urgent care businesses in my state are only doing appointments that are already booked 2 days out & my normal provider also didn’t have any appointments left to see me for a sick visit. This app was a lifesaver after thinking I exhausted all my other options besides going to the closest hospital. Within 10 mins of making an account I had an immediate phone call appointment with Dr. Kantha Kumar who was extremely caring & skilled in taking care of my needs do get me on the road to feeling better. 10 out of 10 would recommend to everyone.

Ease of access. I pulled up two different apps to try this online doctor process. MDLIVE and Teladoc... both had no issue with setting up and creating appointments. However, not only does mdlive cost less by 20 bucks, mdlive allows you to choose your doctor you would like to use. I was able to see the profiles of the doctors (their ratings might be good on that profile too) and look up ratings on each doctor to determine which one to choose. My appointment is tomorrow but unless the video is shotty that has nothing to do with the awesome layout and ease of use MDLIVE provides. Awesome job developers!
