Great game. Excellent platformer got my money's worth

Too Short. It's a great game. No way around that. It makes me feel really good at video games when I'm kind of a casual gamer. Super fun, and it leaves me awaiting the sequel. My only complaint is the length. It took me about an hour to complete. Also, please add bosses and /or upgrades! I feel like I gather those yellow orbs for nothing. I'm not a high score person, so those feel kind of useless. The music is really great also. P.S, I don't recommend the gesture option, but if it works for you, that's fine.

Amazing. Easily my favorite game on the App Store. One small complaint though. I just need more levels. There are already quite a few but I beat them all fairly quickly and am begging for more. Please release new levels soon. Other than that this game has great smooth controls with lots of platformer action like wall jumps and ninja stuff like stealth kills and is something anyone and everyone should buy. Plus this game is a easy steal for just 2 bucks. 🎉

Fast paced, easy to pick up. I really enjoyed this game. It is a little short, however it eludes to a sequel or updates. I think some more fighting moves would be great as well as a few bosses, but overall definitely worth $.99

Needs more chapters, an upgrade system. This game needs more chapters! I beat the whole game in one sitting. It also needs an upgrade system for weapons and stuff. Add more weapons and different costumes to choose from. Also some more boss battles would be great. Make it harder pls!

Great Platformer with excellent Gameplay. Kudos to the developers for making this game. I beat the game about a month ago getting a perfect score on all the levels and I am still finding myself going in and replaying the levels. It's very addictive and the gameplay is smooth and fun. I hope they come out with more levels soon.

Simply amazing. This game is so much fun! The combat is fluid, the enemies are nicely placed and the number of levels plus the amount of variety in the heavy platforming segments make this game really look like a lot of work went into it especially because it was made on the unity engine! The game is beautiful, entertaining and everybody who has an apple device should grab this it's a steal for the price.

Game doesn't work. My son wasn't happy with this game. He wanted me to help him write a review. He was very upset because he couldn't get the guy to run. He could only make him jump

Great Ninja Action!!!!!. This is exactly the kind of game I've been wanting on my iPhone. Good controls and a cool cartoony art style. It kind of reminds me of Shinobi and Mark of the Ninja. I didn't like the gesture control scheme at first and switched to the button scheme. But, once I downloaded the game to my iPad , I gave the gesture scheme another try and warmed up to it. The only things I'd want are unlock able alternate costumes and more levels. Maybe something more like a boss fight at the end of each set of levels. Great job!!!!

Awesome action game. Reminds me of good old arcade games. It has many moves with great animations. It's cool that there's the extra challenge of finding all orbs in a map by searching the levels. After finishing a map, or series of maps, I like to revisit maps that I didn't find everything in.

Mfi broken. As of the last update, the mfi controller only works for the menus, not the game.

Controller support? (Update). (Update) Hunted online and discovered that some games require the Auto-lock to be set at Never in the General Settings of the iPad. This allowed for full controller support. Now it is time to enjoy my purchase! (Old) I bought this with the understanding that it had full controller support only to realize it only worked on the menu screen. I'm sure the game is enjoyable, but I feel a little cheated. I would have spent my cash on another controller supported game instead if I knew this would be the case. Hopefully the developers will fix this issue and I can begin enjoying the game as it was intended.

More Levels Please. I really like this game. The controls are intuitive if joystick mode is active. I felt the game's difficulty was just about right. However, the levels are designed to be completed in about 1.5 min, so they get burned through... Even the hardcore levels once their design is memorized. I easily give this title 5 stars, and like to think more levels are on the way in the future. Highly recommend the download.

Great fun, smooth gameplay. I hate platformers on touchscreens because the controls are often frustrating. Not so with the shadow blade series... Really intuitive gameplay that has the right amount of challenge and is a ton of fun.

Still waiting for a sequel. The best platform action game period. I re-download and replay this game start to finish every 6 months. Give us Shadow Blade 2 already!

Amazing!. Awesome Game, love the platforming. Got all the Ninja Stars. I would totally love new levels focusing on Combat, so they can feel like a change of pace from the amazing platforming levels. UPDATE: Thanks for fixing the Dojo levels promptly, I was able to get three stars on all of them. When finishing the last level of the dojo level though, the screen gets stuck/frozen (wooden background, can still hear game music). I have to close and restart app (level progress does get saved though) I have an iPhone 4S iOS 7.1.1

Great Ninja Action!. Absolutely in love with this game! Reminds me so much of those crazy old school side scrolling platformers. I really, really hope that there is tons of more content on the way. The graphics compliment the gameplay with wonderful fluidity, and the music is just right to set you in the mood for some fast paced action. I miss the joystick though, but maybe that's something that can be added later on. But tiny, tiny things aside, I will be waiting for future content for this action junkie sweetness.

If you ever wanted to be a ninja.... Great game that challenges someone looking to just pass a level or collect all of the 'stars'. I just wish there was more combat-based levels, throwing stars, and more levels. Overall, a fantastic bargain that defies the current 'in app purchase' trend that ends up ruining many titles.

Deserves 5++ stars, but. This game is truly amazing! But the only thing is that when I click on a level (sometimes) it crashes after loading. It happens sometimes but of course I have a iPod 4th generation so I understand. Great game!

Minor fixes?!?. The update said 'minor fixes' - the size of the app went from 350MB up to 1.3GB.... What. Is. Up. With. That?!?!

Action and gesture don't mix. I think if I had a gamepad of some sort, I might actually enjoy this game. On a touchscreen though, this game is just… cumbersome feeling. At times the ninja's flying across the screen, at other points I can't make his blade connect to any sort of thing around me. I've tried both the gesture controls (a total failure) and the onscreen joypad, neither worked terribly well. More than anything else, I feel like this game highlights one of the weaknesses of the iPhone as a gaming platform.

Awesome game! Can't stop playing it. Shadow blade is a really fun and awesome game but I want it to have more stuff. Like a store where you can buy weapons and armor and other cool stuff. And also a another chapter, and I also want to include EXP levels so the creator who made shadow blade can you please add those stuff in the next update!!!!!

Just WOW. I love platformers ( I can't spell). They are great from Mario to rayman to vector to supermeat boy( I actually haven't played supermeatboy yet) anyways this game has me amazed at 1 thing: fluidness. Now how does that apply to a platformer? Glad you asked fluidness is how silky smooth a game connects and flows, and this game is on top of my fluidness meter 10 out of 10. I have never felt so in control and at the same time out of control as I just miss a collectable or get behind the time to beat. If you read all that good job. Get this game now! Good work crescent moon!

Really fun!!. This is a great game! Its a little bit Ninja Gaiden and a little bit of its own thing! Definitely recommended for fans of platform and action games!

Excellent ninja platforming. Can't say it any better than that. I prefer the touch controls, but they are spot on. Can't wait for future updates with more levels. Also, ***this game just screams for an upgrade system*** New weapons, better armors, maybe add some more kill sequences to spice things up. Great so far playing on 5s. Can we get customized controller options for MFi? Looking forward to updates.

Very fun. This is a wonderfully fun platformer. The virtual button controls work very well, and control feels very precise and fast paced. The levels are so fun that I often like repeating them a bunch of times just for fun, which I rarely want to do with other platformer games. Great visuals and sound too. The only flaw is the sound stops working once in a while. Also, not a bug, but I wish it kept track of your best time for each level. It shows your time at the end of a level, and the game really seems to encourage seeing how fast you can go, so it's strange that it doesn't keep a record.

Amazing. Lol since I had enough money to buy apps and stuff on iTunes, I didn't really know what to buy And as soon as an ad for this game came, I quickly glanced at the cool picture of it and bought it without seeing what it is. And I don't regret it. It's pretty fun and easy to learn. I love it already.

Awesome game!. This game is awesome! Fluid touch controls and seamless ninja action. One problem- CRASHES! It crashes whenever I try to start Level Eight and the first Hardcore level. This is on an iPod 4th Generation running iOS 6.1.5. I absolutely LOVE your game, but i don't want to be stuck playing the same seven levels! Will give 5 stars when fixed.

Killer 2D action. Super tight controls, fun gameplay, smooth graphics. Easily one of the best action sidescrollers on iOS. If you like Shinobi and 8 bit era Ninja Gaiden (like the old gamer writing this review), this title will definitely hit the spot. 👍

Get it.. I have been looking for a game like this for a long time on iOS. Controls are intuitive and gameplay is like that of classic platformers, none of that tap "to jump and that's it" nonsense. The game respects your intelligence and it's a pleasure to play. Cool graphics and a killer sound track to top it of. The best casual game I've played on this platform.

Mark of the Ninja + Shinobi 😯. Controls take practice, but the overall feel is satisfying. It feels like a mix of the platforming of Shinobi (PS2) and combat of Mark of the Ninja (XBOX 360). Combat is timing intensive and a little floaty, but when you memorize the flow of a level, it feels good. The jumping mechanics are the star. Combinations of double-jumping, air-dashing, and diving keep things interesting. The hardcore levels unlock as you progress through the regular levels. They're fun, but not as "hardcore" as I would have liked. I was hoping for something a little more like classic Ninja Gaiden (NES) but I'm happy with it as-is. Now we just need more levels 😄

Controller feature is broken. Only brings up the pause menu and works in the menu. Not the game play.

Way too short. It's really fun and I'm glad I bought it but I beat it in a matter of hours. The PC version is getting way more in the game which makes me mad when this is the first version and it's not really complete. It needs the level editor that the PC is getting and maybe an endless survival mode? The pvp would be awesome too I'm disappointed I had to pay though for something that took me a few hours. If you don't mind shelling out a couple of bucks though for something quick and fun then this game is for you. It left me wanting more though which is good.

ONE MAJOR ISSUE!!. Is it me or is this the first ninja in history that can't double jump?! What's the deal with that? Naturally growing up watching and playing ninja movies and video games I'm continuously trying to double jump. This would be a natural fit into the game as well as more abilities and powers. Climbing and jumping through trees sounds pretty old school and awesome. More weapons!!!!

AWESOME GAME. This is a wounderful game very nice concept and difficulty to make you keep comming back for more i just wish there was a survival/endless mode like the 2nd to last level on some of the worlds it would be a really nice addition to the game but without it the game has very great potential and would still be a great game even without it.

Amazing game one request. This game is amazing and so much fun to play but once you beat all levels with three stars there's nothing to do so please add a survival mode with endless waves of enemies then the game would be complete

Great game. It's a wonderful ninja game. Graphics, sound & controls are all premium level. Gameplay wise it has some fun secrets you have to find to 3 star a level but I found that every now & then my character glitches through a level wall & gets stuck. Restarting is fine & decently fast so it's not a real bother.

Not that great. When I bought this game I had very high hopes for it, but was disappointed after my purchase. The reason for this is due to the game being so bugged around enemies and objects, not to mention the almost always enraging controls, so I would think twice before buying this game. If this was 0.99 instead, I would gladly get this game, but in its current state I wouldn't have if I knew about these problems, although if they started coming out with more updates to fixes these bugs and issues I would have no problem giving this 5 stars.

More levels and customization. Worth 0.99 cents not $2 it is a real fun game but needs those extra levels. Future updates could add this and some ninja customization this is the type of game which would suite it. Maybe an endless level where you keep running and fighting. .. This game is completely different then what i thought it would be. the story is terrible...well it doesnt even have a story, the games too short because it took me about 20 minutes to beat it and i got NO RETRO FEEL like it says... And the gameplay is pretty average

It's ok. The game is fun, even though it doesn't use any stealth. It would be better if there were shadows u could hide in, cameras that give away your position, things like that. And one problem, it's half an hour long! Please make the game longer!!!

Controls. Honestly, the worst controls I've ever experienced for a game. Frustrating to the point where it is not fun at all. The most enjoyment I got from this game was deleting it. Two stars for effort.

Great Action Platformer. The gesture controls in this game are actually well executed. It's not an endless runner, but when played like that, the speed in which you move through the levels feels very rewarding. Only gripe, it's pretty short.

Hours of fun!. Took me 2 weeks to beat this game (by that I mean 3 stars on every single level) but I had a blast doing it. Once you get used to the controls its all about timing. Very fun. Some of the levels took upwards of 25 tries but definitely a fun time waster while on breaks at work. I can't wait for the next update or next version, maybe with new playable characters? Excited!

Keep the levels coming. Good crisp graphics, fast pasted fun, addictive, awesome music and sound effects, realistic struggles while fighting opponents. Only issue I have had is it starts to get glitchy after it is paused a few times but over all the makes are doing a good job so keep the levels coming.

Nothing new about this game.. I heard reviews and read something's about this game and how it's inventive use of controls so I tried it out. There's noting new about this game. Move left and right, jump and hit things while collecting stuff. Not that that formula makes it a bad game, it's decent, just nothing very ground breaking. Definitely not worth the Editor's Choice.

Feels like a ninja to me. Seriously, this is how you do play forming on touch devices. The controls are nigh perfect. Nothing comes close to this on iOS. The visuals and sound design are stupendous, to boot. Really, only thing more I could ask for are more levels. Hell, I'd pay more for a nice levels pack and a few more characters to choose from. But even without those additions this is the very best play forming you'll find outside of a dedicated handheld.

Finally a great game!!!. I've been looking for a fun game on iPad since I got a iPad no luck until I stumbled on to this gem all other games on iPad really don't have the good controls and enjoyment that this game has but that's just my opinion.

Really epic but.... This app Is really epic and there are super cool ninja moves! I like the obstacles and spikes. The graphics are great. The combat is boss, except i would like a setting to turn off the blood. It is a little gross. But other than that it is a super cool app. I hope they come out with a sequel soon. Good job fireproof games!

Fantastic. Only a few minutes into it, but already this game is great. The swipe mechanics work really well, and the art work and animation are top notch. Great work devs!

Very Addicting. The gesture controls for this game are crap, but once you get the hang of the onscreen controls, the game becomes very addicting. This is an excellent platformer, on par with some of the old school 8-bit ones I played as a kid.

Very Dull. I want to say this game's good, but I just can't. The overall gameplay is just very repetitive and boring and I saw myself beating the first chapter, out of three, in at most 10 minutes. The only thing I can bring myself to enjoy are the hardcore levels. They're the only ones that seem to give off at least someone of a challenge.

Great game!. If you're a fan of ninja games ( as well as ninjas in general ) then get this game ..it's a simple yet fun "pick up and play" game with colorful decent graphics & every bit worth the price ..i can't wait for more updates to this game (:

Awesome game just add more levels. This is a great game, really reminds of Mark of the ninja and Ninjump. Plz add more levels or a survival mode cuz i beat the game in 2 days. Other than that this is an awesome game.

Beautiful, fluid, a little short. Hopefully they add more content in the future. An upgrade system would be great. If they don't do it in this one, maybe in the sequel that I will definitely be buying.

Waitingforupdate. I beat this game within a day it's that easy the reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because tue computer version has been updated with new missions and they are completely ignoring to update the mobile version

Add more levels and endless!. Needs more levels and an endless mode where you can just keep fighting enemies until you die but other than that great game.

Good Game, Bad Controls. This is a very nice action packed ninja game. The graphics are detailed and it has an interesting style of playing. But there are still major problems. The controls are so mashed together that if you want to jump over a pit of spikes you might end up run straight into it. Half the time I can't get my ninja to do anything I want. Also, the one hit death on the spikes seems a bit unfair. How are they supposed to be some kind of super elite ninja if they die by poking a little spike?

Solid. Tight controls, fluid gameplay , and gorgeous art. Wish there were more focus on combat instead of acquiring light orbs, but the platforming is fun. There's barely any story btw, but if you enjoy league of evil , you'll feel right at home.

Most side scrolling game are pretty boring but this game is awesome!!!. This game is awesome it's not just a side scroller where you're running and jumping over things, you actually get to do attacks and more attacks than just one kind. I love it... so simple but fun. And the sound effects and music are awesome too.

Blood. Very fun and smooth game, but there is to much blood. You dive bomb a dude and bring down your sword, but then you can't see what happens through all the blood. Please make a blood amount setting normal, a little, and none. Or just make an on and off setting. Do that totally five stars! Thanks!

Game people were waiting for!!!!. One day I was looking for a great ninja game but I couldn't find anything. Then I stumbled upon this game which absolutely blew my mind. I got ASAP!!!! This is the best device ninja game ever

Amazing but short. Amazing platforming game. Been following it for months. My only problem is that's it's pretty short as I beat it in around a day.

Genius. Man this game is placed beautifully together, the colors, graphics, moves etc. The gameplay is what I have been looking for, for the longest. I am glad I've made the choice to download this! Worth the "Dinero 💵"

Great game!. I especially like how you can start part way through a level when you die. You don't have to start the level all over again.

Amazing. The game is amazing but maybe (probably the only one with this problem) can u add a jump button to the gesture controls cause jumping some times gets a little frustrating ( again probably only me )

Fun, fast, precise. Very fluid and precise controls make for a great experience. There is plenty of levels to speedrun your way through, and the devs keep adding them up. If you like platforming, you'll love this.

Awesome game!. The moves are perfect. Both gesture and joystick are available making it easier to control the Ninja character.. Graphics are acceptable. The game design is a different one. Overall a good experience.

Total ninja...great game!. I have had a blast with this game! It is how ninja games should be....fast movements, cool jumps, and awesome fighting moves with easy controls. This is worth way more than $0.99, so buy it, it is amazing!!!!

Love it, but needs Game Center achievements. This is an outstanding platformer. Great controls and a lot of fun. Disappointed it doesn't have achievements for Game Center though. Add that and it's a 5-star review from me.
