Blind - Professional Community Comments & Reviews 2026

Theoretically good, in reality toxic/sexist cesspool. So many posts and comments are a sexist echo chamber. “Do your wives ever apologize?” With an entire comment section calling the person “beta” and bashing women. This platform has the potential for career support/growth and wage transparency to improve overall employment outcomes. But it’s turned into social media for people who complain about non-work related topics at all and need childish affirmation that they are doing well with comp. Deleted and not looking back.

Want to kill off a user? Show more ads. I really enjoyed using this app update to the latest update. As a principal, I never trust developers and companies with the updated app in the App Store. So I recently updated this app and guess what! All of a sudden more ads at the most intrusive ads. I wish developers would just audit and say that they updated their UI to generate more revenue and apologize to the users for the ugliest that it cost. either way, I may just use it via the web, but definitely deleting the app.

Anonymous we think not. This sounds like a great app. I am particularly hopeful since I read the whining children screeching that it isn’t politically correct enough for them and they want opposing speech blocked from the platform. Anything they hate must have merit. But step 1 is register with your work email. That is a disqualification. Even if the service is anonymous today it is one hack, unscrupulous business partner, or IPO from selling every post you ever made to anyone that wants it. This app is a ticking time bomb that WILL eventually get you fired.

Unable to use the app.. Since last year and a half the landing page on the app is asking me to select some options about the “job groups I want to follow“ and the workflow won’t proceed without selecting some option. The problem is that I have no intention of looking at what’s happening outside of my company’s board. I am perfectly happy where I am. I understand that this is necessary to route the “promoted” posts and job listings. But the current implementation is not very inclusive. It basically implies, if I am not curious about new jobs I should not be using this app. Please consider adding a “not looking for other jobs right now” option. Until then this app is unusable for me..

Forced ad pop ups. Hey, you talentless freaks, I know that you purposely make ads automatically trigger, even when you scroll past to them. For example, if you scroll past an app advertisement, it will just open the App Store automatically you do this because it keeps her pathetic engagement numbers up and you refuse to fix it because you know that it would drop your engagement numbers and your ad click through rate. It is beyond pathetic and just how much you hate your users. I am absolutely begging your advertisers to sue you for fraudulent ad click through rates.

Unusable almost. The performance of this app has gotten better. So no complaints anymore. But the app is almost unusable because of people misusing the “Report” feature by reporting anything that doesn’t fit their worldview. This is creating a space where certain groups hijack the soul of the app. No space for non traditional opinions even if they don’t break channel rules. There is no way to appeal bans. Blind should either limit the number of “Report”s each user can make to 1 per month similar to messaging or add some accountability where if a post is not actually breaking rules then the user who reported should get banned.

Must have work email. This app is very limiting. You have to have a work email to sign up, and while I understand it’s to “verify” that you work at a certain place, not everyone in the work force has a work email. Most retail employees do not for example. This means on certain people can access which can create a problem if someone want to get the “inside scoop” of a company before applying. I have two stars because I can’t really rate the app itself (I lack a work email), but it might be useful. But it’s a major flaw if not everyone can access the app.

Interesting concept, not well thought through. Very interesting idea and the thought behind it is good, but not actually very well thought through at all. Anonymity is great to spark real conversations, but it is also a breeding place for name calling and very toxic behavior. Once you’re in on your company’s board, you are there forever. Blind does nothing in the way of continued (yearly?) verifications, which means your company group is a good portion of former jilted employees there just to get a rise out of others, rather than participate in constructive conversations. This is probably its biggest flaw. It’s an easy fix, but there doesn’t seem to be any interest in actually facilitating truly constructive conversations as they state. A bunch of culture and engagement buzzwords, but really just a place to breed workplace toxicity.

Can not go ahead of email verification step. App is poorly designed in IOS. I get the verification email to verify my email address and after clicking on the link it takes me to a page where it says "Link has been activated. Go to the app. Please go back to the app. If you don't see setbup your account screen then restart the app." But, nothing works in the app. Restarted the app couple of times. Even uninstalled and installed again. Nothing works even after trying multiple times.

Blind encourages racism and hate speech! ?. Improve your platform. How is this a professional community? Free speech is right, encouraging quality content is part of any social connection platform, specially, for something in a professional setting. If they’re not able to moderate the extremists, all the app will be will get is the extremist and hate. Forget about comments at least to moderate your questions. The queries and posts the people make here out of extremely low quality.

App needs A LOT of work. It’s like they somehow intentionally disabled the iOS spell checking software when you’re writing private messages. Have to go in and manually correct each misspelled word which normally autocorrect would pick up. So much time wasted. Also so many problems with responding to specific messages in a larger thread (I.e., the reply just gets attached as a new message to the thread rather than to a reply to specific message). Such a garbagely coded app - how can things so basic be overlooked? It’s one thing if these were temporary issues but I’m shocked nobody has fixed these in the 6 months I’ve been using the app.

Ads insanely easy to trigger on app (iOS). Getting anywhere close to the ad slot during scrolling triggers the ads. Jump to browser, had to swipe back. I have like 20 Safeway ads page open in just 5minutes. It doesn’t help that each of the ads slot is huge (3/4 screen) so that in order to scroll your finger will very likely may border on the ad slot, and insanely frequent (every 5 posts). Set a timer and Make it trigger only on long click. Make it smaller and less frequent!

Only for upper management. I work security and thought this would be a great way to vent with the other several thousand employees my employer has. However, you have to have a work email. This is flawed for several reasons. 1. IT can and will see and find the email you get, 2. Most Employees do NOT have a work email that isn’t from a service provider like Google, Yahoo, Outlook, etc. this makes it more for those that work in the office/upper management to have access to. This app will fail as it does not have the reach it could have by allowing anyone to join. Censorship You seem to have. A lot of filtered words and phrases. I find that incredibly odd for an app meant to be anonymous and offers itself as a “gossip” app. Restrictive Without a proper “work” email you can only read. You isolate lower ranked workers from discussions by having this ridiculous rule. Even if LinkedIn authentification actually worked, you still can’t speak or have access to all the features. Overview: With all the limitations I would steer clear of this. The only reason to add all these restrictions in my opinion is for data gathering and 3rd party selling. Most jobs have a clause prohibiting you from gossiping or malicious behaviors and an email from this app could easily be seen by an employer who is aware of it to terminate you because of how it’s advertised as a “gossip” app. Work email authentication is a very ridiculous idea and from a “social” app point of view restricts the app to basically no one to talk to in small office settings.

Good concept, poor execution. The concept of Blind is excellent. Who wouldn’t want an insiders look into companies? Unfortunately that’s not how things actually go. First, blind is very heavy on the R&D side (eg engineers). It’s not an accurate representation of the various departments of a company. Second, majority of folks on Blind are disgruntled in some way, shape, or form. Got a bad mid year review? Go to blind. Didn’t get a promo? Go to blind. Hate working from home? Go to blind. Don’t like the cafe food? Go to blind. People love to hate on blind which is already incredibly biased. The founders actually think their audience represents the true feelings of employees which is so grossly inaccurate and far fetched. Blind is the new Nextdoor, except instead of annoying/angry Karen’s nit picking everything, you have spoiled/arrogant tech workers who hide between anonymity. Oh blind.

Horribly toxic environment. I had deleted Blind from my phone for more than a year because of how toxic the environment got. Today I installed it hoping that Blind got their act together and improved moderation. A few seconds into scrolling the feed, I saw a post shared by a Microsoft employee justifying George Floyd’s murder and an Apple employee respond to it by saying that all the protestors need to have their necks trampled on with knees until they asphyxiate. It feels less like a forum to discuss technical and career matters; it resembles 4chan and Gab more than anything else.

More like an amateur App. They claim to have a million participants but the App is very primitive as if developed by a mediocre fresh grad student. Your comments go into a black hole and once you write them you cannot find them anymore and cannot delete any of them. If a post receives more than 2 responses and you wanted to respond to the first response then you cannot because you can only respond to the last response in the thread. And the list goes on. Much needed App but very primitive software.

Gossip Spewing Garbage. Here’s an app that no one needs. I understand the reason for anonymity when speaking about your employer. But the result is an underground community of gossip spewing garbage that makes absolutely zero positive impact at the workplace. On the contrary, this app and the community of users makes everything about the workplace worse. But I’d you want to hate your job and the people you work with more than you already do, go ahead and use it. But don’t expect to ever find a glimmer of satisfaction by opening it.

Rampant misogyny, sexism, racism, bullying and harassment, humble bragging. Used to be a fine resource for finding more information about other companies, even enjoyable to use. These days, there’s no moderation (maybe Blind embraces the problematic messaging common on the platform). This means there is rampant misogyny, racism and bullying / harassment. Seems like 90% of the remaining users are part of the “anti-woke” MAGA crowd and constantly spew idiotic and harmful rhetoric. Authentic questions and discussion posts either get zero engagement or the comments are full of SWE who think they’re god because they get paid well, and equate their intelligence and worth to their salary, believing it gives them free reign to tell others to KYS, providing unhelpful / outright disrespectful input and feedback on genuine posts.

App used to be great but now I can’t use it. I’ve used Blind for a few years now and it’s been great. However their latest decisions in how the app works makes it unusable. The fact that I can’t skip all the preference questions makes it so I will not use it. I work in Tech I know you want the sweet sweet Data but this practice of leeching demographic or marketing info from you users is gross. I know it’s all hidden behind “personalization” but that’s just what companies call mining data about you.

Great for unfiltered work convos. I love being able to talk anonymously about workplace and industry issues without fear of being fired of treated differently. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the general forums are all for tech & engineer industry fields. I work in marketing and haven’t found and work-related threads that are relevant to me which is a disappointment. There is also a huge importance placed on TC and commenters will berate OPs for that info even if it’s not relevant which is a bit annoying and makes everyone sound like a douche.

Minor bug?. When I’m in a post, I clicked “See previous comments”, I clicked the “View x more replied”, checked the replies and go back, sometimes it jumps back to the first page of comments, and I need to click “see more comments” to navigate back to where I was. This is a weird behavior of the app and I’m sure Blind devs can fix this easily.

Censoring like the rest. They ban you whenever you express any opinion that differs with mainstream narrative Supposedly others flag you (so they say) but in reality you are not allowed to post anything that is dangerous to the current mainstream story. So no going against grouptthink is allowed no matter what arguments you present. Blind team - if you are truly serious about not censoring then show why comments are flagged and have an actual human review them. Otherwise you are just reaffirming groupthink.

Forced app use despite the app being terrible. Tried to use the website on an iPad, but the page runs terribly and crashes and reloads every few minutes due to bloat. It also randomly signs me out, all while pestering me to use the app instead. So fine, I give up and download the app. Which immediately makes me select interests that I don’t care about to spam a stupid feed (I just want to see my company’s board), a process that was optional on the website. And worst of all, there is no dedicated iPad app! Genius approach: make the website unusable on iPad, then force me to use an iPhone app on a giant landscape screen.

A clumsy app. The concept is good, but its a clumsy buggy app. There is no way for an existing user to reset a lost password, LinkedIn verification doesn’t work and after a failed LinkedIn verification, it keeps repeating the error even when an alternate verification is tried. Also there doesn’t seem to be a companion web site that would allow one to access Blind from a computer. For another app I might be willing to overlook these inconveniences, but Blind is asking us to put our trust in them to protect our anonymity. I cannot do so after seeing how immature this app is.

Work email verification is a recipe for disaster. The whole idea is that your employer should not be able to even *suspect* that you were ever on the app. Yes, they can’t prove it, but they won’t have to to treat you some type of way. It’s especially fraught if you’re in cybersecurity or similar sectors as that may get you evaluated as a security risk. Work email verification defeats the purpose of an anonymous app. Get rid of it and instead use paystub or W2 verification. Otherwise, I refuse to join Blind and many others will too!

Toxic Environment and Cyberbullying. I like the concept of the app in bringing together people from different workplaces to ask work-related questions but often times I saw many mean and unhelpful comments to questions that were simply seeking help. Unlike reddit and other chat communities, Blind doesn’t seem to have any enforced rules for trolling and harsh comments. I had this app for about 2 weeks and decided to delete it because I was sick of seeing people post harsh comments and supporting other harsh comments that simply amounts to cyberbullying. Although, this was not always the case, it happened regularly to the point that I saw it in almost every other post. I think having an app that connects people together for asking work related advice anonymously is nice. However, if you were to build a good and truly helpful community, I believe having enforceable rules to prevent cyberbullying and create a supportive environment is absolutely necessary for making the app experience better.

Seems to have strayed from intended purpose. Appeared useful when I initially downloaded. I let the app sit for a while, but since I’m making a career change, I logged in to see if I could find some useful info about the industry I’m moving into. Scrolled for a while and then deleted the app from my phone. Whether I agree with their views or not, if I wanted to see anonymous accounts dogpile insults around American political figures/events/news outlets, there are a gazillion other apps and websites I could visit. I wanted an app for professionals. Not a worse version of Reddit.

Almost perfect. I really like the design and feel of the app, there is one key feature that I really wish was available, and that is to have the ability to unblock users that we have blocked in the past. I feel like this is a key feature that a lot of other major social apps have, it would be nice if that was implemented

Nice app but recent updates are terrible. Very nice app honestly, and a good conduit for fostering discussions and community. The recent limitations on what constitutes full access have severely hamstrung the app and the community. The result was a three day cesspool of spam/troll topics revolving around the term ‘prestige’ from the remaining full access users. Your work email has to belong to a short list of companies, without which you can only view certain topics. And no, customer support/damage control person, your response isn’t helpful/productive. Forwarding the message to management and advocating on behalf of meaningful users is!

Delete my account and stop harassing!. I started getting automatic text messages on my phone from this app though I had never downloaded it. It said my coworker invited me. I started the process of downloading and setting it up like a fool when I realized it wanted to send emails to my work addy and verify me on LinkedIn. This made me uncomfortable so I emailed them several days ago asking for the account to be deleted. (The app is stuck on asking me for personal info and I can’t do anything with it.) Meanwhile I’m still getting these annoying text messages. I asked the ppl on my team if they sent it to me and they said no. (We are candid with each other.) I’m not sure how they even got my number. “Blind” couldn’t be a better description for this app’s developers.

A playground for bullies, racists and misogynists. Blind should really try harder to moderate racist and sexist comments on their app. Perhaps highly paid engineers of certain races are just prone to assuming women and Black people don’t deserve to have a seat at their table, but it’s unacceptable on a professional platform. Ultimately, the Blind experience erodes into a minefield of overwhelming toxicity over and over again. Also, I’ve noticed that there’s a lot of “company shaming” on Blind. Depending on the company you work for, you’re either wearing a badge of honor, or a mark for others to point and laugh at. It’s not Blind’s fault that these users are immature. But similar to Airbnb forcing users to post photos of themselves in order to foster transparency and security, the effort has backfired. I sincerely hope they find a way to address these issues in the future. Til then, adios. My mental health deserves better.

Logged out on other devices notification. First time using the app and when creating password, I received a notification that I will be logged out of all other devices. I had to confirm to move forward. It also notes that lost passwords cannot be recovered! If I’ve never used this app, why does it notify me that I’ll be logged out of other devices?

The anonymous Twitter for workings pros. The idea is a good one but being anonymous only invites trolling, rude, and harassing comments. Maybe if there’s a better way to flag/warn/or get rid of these people, the app would be more useful. It’s suppose to be a network of working professional “adults” but it’s all a bunch of immature people talking crap about each other. No real sound advice if you are genuinely looking for that. I got the app because they advertise it as a place to get some advise on careers/salary/work culture and even help with interviews but all you get is a bunch of ignorant comments. I guess that’s what happens when you let people hide behind close doors, they show their true colors so long as they can remain anonymous.

Way too many notifications, fine app. This isn’t an app that you’d use regularly. I use it every once in a while to check what other people at my company or in my industry have to say. By default they started sending me notifications every few hours which is dumb. Maybe I’d be okay with a notification about a new post or story once every couple days or once a week. I ended up turning off notifications entirely

Moderators do not care at all about prevalent racism and misogyny. I want to love the app. Having people come together to share their insights about their company, open up transparency about salary anonymously, and discuss career journeys and finances is something I’d love. Except that’s not what the app is anymore. About 90% of threads contain very strong racism (especially against a certain group of people) or misogyny. The other 10% is just overall rudeness, insults, or telling people to kill themselves. Checking the app just makes me feel horrible every time I use it. The moderators and the developers just do not care and that’s a shame.

Too exclusive. I downloaded Blind years ago after finishing grad school, but was working freelance or for very small studios or individuals. Only now am I in a workplace where I could genuinely get some use out of Blind, but I work in the service industry which is not represented at all from what I could see in the opening prompts. I understood the purpose of asking people to use their work email, but to get into it and see that the fields represented are limited to white-collar positions was somewhere between insulting and infuriating. Particularly because of the organization that’s going on in many service industry jobs- you’d think that would be their primary demographic but instead we’re just excluded. Please hire consultants that don’t live in a white-collar bubble.

Not ready for prime time. False advertising. It sounds good on paper, but in reality, it doesn’t work. I have a work email from a very large multinational company, yet the app states that it’s an invalid email address. It’s the one that I have used at work for the past 5 years, with the same domain that is used by hundreds of thousands of employees, and yet your app says it’s invalid. After many failed attempts to sign up, I’ve tried contacting support through the app, but no response. While I’ve been waiting, I’ve read the notifications that post to my phone Home Screen, and it seems that this app is geared for IT employees at large firms. There is nothing for other industries. To the developer: You really need to be more honest and forthright with the public that might be interested in your app. As it is, you’re doing a great disservice by tricking people into thinking that if you’re working you can sign up. It just isn’t so. Don’t waste your time with this app. Thank you, Developers, for attempting to respond to my review. However, it is lackluster, misleading, and screams “I don’t want to answer this!” Nowhere in my review did I say I work for a foreign business. Stop trying to confuse the issue. I stated that it is a multi national company. It happens to be a very well established American company that is well over 50 years old and has expanded to other countries, much like Microsoft, Google, and Facebook have. It has offices in all major US cities, most towns, and many smaller communities. It bears a name that is well recognized by most Americans and that name is part of its domain. Yet your developers or algorithms kick it out as an invalid business domain. Are the app developers American? You stated that you’re trying to expand beyond the tech sector. If that’s the case, you’re not trying very hard.

Trash. This app is trash. On one end you are bombarded by trolls and all sorts of toxic personalities with superiority complex and on the other end you will be reported and banned for bullying/harassment if you dare to argue with reason. Moderation is definitely not even reading what they flag/delete. Stick to reddit.

Good idea, but toxic culture with limited moderation. Similar to what a lot of others are reporting, think of this as an anonymous mob mentality culture app. It brings out the bad side of people who think cutting down other responses is a way of life. Trolls are in every post. For those that ask genuine salary or culture questions, there may be some good and sound advice, however not without filtering dozens of sarcastic or rude comments to get to helpful info. App features have improved, which is cool to see - 4 stars in that area with some room to improve (I still get random error messages, etc). Points are interesting feature. DM could be good to reach people who have genuine Q&A. However, I can’t give a high rating until the team figures out a better way to reduce/remove trolling and turn this back into a community that can openly discuss items in a more respectful way (even when disagreeing).

Buggy navigation. My review is for how the app functions, not Blind as a platform. That said, the app has a lot of annoying bugs. When scrolling, it will randomly pop up whatever ad is in screen as if you tapped it, even if you didn’t tap it. Also, if you try to tap a specific post, sometimes it will bring up a post a few spots above the one you tapped as if you tapped much higher on your screen. Exiting the post and tapping the same post will bring you to the correct one. Sometimes, when you exit a post, the screen won’t change but if you tap the screen again, it will bring up a new post as if you were on the main page, even though the screen itself didn't update. All of these bugs make me think that the developers have not properly designed the interface for the app. It's still usable but very annoying to navigate since these bugs occur near constantly.

You had one job, to let me look at posts!!!. Clicking on a post often selects the wrong item, and even ads… seems like an intentional way to get more click through ad money by getting users to open ads unintentionally… This has only happened to me, only with this app, for months now.

Good Idea, Poor Execution. I think this app is a great idea and is headed in the right direction. That being said, the interface is not user-friendly, random posts that should be in Reddit abound, and many users are shockingly rude and frankly mean. Perhaps I am naive, but it was my impression that Blind was for professionals who are seeking answers from other professionals, which to me does not entail allowing for trolling behavior and unclear app navigation. I look forward to using an app like Blind that is truly what its representative on NPR (how I heard of it) alleged it would be.

Douchey Tech Bro’s. The amount of insanity on here isn’t worth it. 95% of everyone on here makes $200k or more, flaunts it without any humility, and has zero concept of the world around them if it doesn’t reinforce their way of life. Remember Martin Shkreli? Great. Now, imagine an entire app with other people just like him, trolling others with their libertarian views, and a complete disregard for anyone “beneath” them. I once made reference to working for Uber and making less than $100k and I was met with “ugh are we giving drivers Uber email addresses now?”, “dude how can you even work at Uber for less than $100k?”, and so forth. This app is impressive in that it’s singlehandedly brings you everything wrong with the culture of San Francisco’s tech culture in one place.

Toxic community. The moderation team is a joke. If you write something that goes against popular opinion, you will be reported to oblivion as there’s no downvote option. You’ll then be automatically banned. On most social media sites, you have an option to report something. That report is then looked at by mods, then action is taken. On Blind, the mod part is skipped. So if your comment goes against popular opinion, a lot of people will just report your comment, and you’ll be given a one month ban. With that in mind, decide if you want to use this app.

Scam. Very intrusive app asking for so much personal and professional information before you are let in. Then if you circumvent something such as not wanting to give your professional email (for obvious reasons), then the next time you log in they'll ask for it or you can't log in. Why do they need all this info? Isn't the point to be somewhat discreet? Then the content is complete garbage. Very unhelpful information. There are far better apps out there. Skip this one folks.

Great app. Outstanding support. About the app: I was interested on seeing the compensation. This is a great way to see how your pear are being paid in similar industries. Reviews are trustworthy . (Obviously there are some jackass around which you can easily identify them and report) About the support: First time I downloaded the app I tried to login using my LinkedIn account. I couldn’t move on from the authentication screen due a app bug. The support team contacted me and in a day or two they fixed the bug . Pretty fast and serious people.

4chan with a different name (Blind). Your app enables nothing but negativity and cyber-bullying, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything positive come out of any of the posts. And because it’s anonymous, people say more hurtful (and racist) things because they can. Yes you can report posts but they do nothing. If anything you hide them from the reporters feed but visible to everyone else. I don’t see how ethically you can brand this app as anything other than “want to say mean things about your co-workers? Try Blind!” This app is poison. Congrats on making people worse after using your product.

Tech bros whining about stuff. Over inflated salaries, constant whining about returning to the office, and insanely vile posts no one would post if it could be traced back to them. This is about all that this app offers. You might think the requests for referrals for employment are a good thing, but there is little to no evidence that anything occurs out of it. I’m deleting it after a few months of use. Even if I switch companies the app is filled with ex-employees linked to whatever company they were with when they signed up. So that makes it even less useful.

Terrible community features. The app has decent information for figuring out salary information at popular tech companies. It’s also good for learning about interview questions and best practices. However the community is incredibly toxic and it is obvious the app developers are doing nothing about that. Anyone can flag your posts, and then they will block you for a few days. But the problem is, if you say something true but people just don’t like it, the community can still block you. The app developers do nothing to intervene here. You can and will get relentlessly bullied on this app and the developers don’t care. I’ve emailed support a bunch of times and they don’t even respond. It’s a good app for learning about salaries and compensation, but it’s pretty toxic beyond that.

Breeding ground for hate mongering. This app is infested with hate mongering bigots. Blind does little to nothing to curb it. A lot of bot users from India spread their political agenda. Anything you say against them will get you banned. It can sometimes lead to higher compensation when looking for new jobs if you know how to use the app. It is a good resource if you can navigate through all the toxicity. This app will make you lose your sanity but hey, you get more money, so it's worth it to some people.

Georestricted. Only supported locations are US and South Korea. Makes it useless to most of the world for no obvious functional reason.

Service area. I was able to create an account with my Australian company email. Enjoyed this app so much but got kicked out this morning. Could you please get me back in? ;_;

Should be global!. Downloaded this app to find you can only select USA or South Korea. Why isn’t this available globally?

Handy app, UI issues. When scrolling through threads, if you accidentally tap an ad to stop scrolling, the app will take you to the web page for that ad. This is bad UI.

Only available in USA or Korea. This should be available globally

So many errors. The app keeps erroring out. Many times, I get logged out of my account stating that someone may have logged in to my account. Aside from this issue, I get a blank screen that says unable to load content and I have to keep refreshing or exit out of the app to try and view the content. Please fix.

Useless app. App asks you to enter work email to access most of the content, but with thousands of people laid off in tech (including me), we don’t access anymore to our work emails, it doesn’t make us any less professional.. I don’t know what’s the goal of this app if we can’t fully it use it especially when we need it the most as job seekers. Deleted immediately.

Please fix this bug!. When trying to search something, the keyboard disappears as soon as you type the first letter, which can get pretty annoying over time. Been seeing this for over a year I think…yet it’s still there. Also, would be much better if you could just change the region (US <-> South Korea) without having to log out and back in (to the same account).

Chews up the battery. Chews up the battery real quick for no apparent reason. Makes me suspicious as to what it does behind my back

Font is too small in this app.. The app’s font is so small. Please add the ability to increase font size! It’s hard to read. Especially for a forum based app.

Not Available in Canada. I get inundated with ads for this app but it’s only for those in the US and South Korea for some reason.

Last update is meh. How can I access company reviews?

Great app but buggy. I enjoy the Blind community, but the app needs some retouches. It is really slow and buggy (duplicate threads, threads not loading, comments not showing after posting). Please do the needful

Dark mode please. Blind is making me blind with all this white

App's fine, but people are seriously toxic. Blind tax? YOE and TC? Sure fine as they call it a "culture" of the community, but it is hard to justify the bullyings and bad words they spit out in random simple question threads that have nothing to do with yoe and tc. Blind doesn't even care about this too haha. Nice community management!

Not available outside of US/South Korea. Don’t make me download and sign up only to then tell me that it’s not even going to work in my country. That info could have been shared upfront.

Bug with iOS app - WiFi. Hey engineers, I caught the bug that whenever I load the app under WiFi it gives the error message “Unable to process request [9002]”. But it works with my cellular data. Not sure how to interpret that error message. I’ve tried uninstalling and installing again but it did not resolve the issue. Please look into that.

Dumb app - edited - not dumb again. If you don't work at Facebook or google forget it, you can't access any content. Edit: they’ve now opened up to more companies

Horrible and toxic!!!! Don’t even bother with it. This app is so toxic and full of horrible people treating one another with complete disrespect just because it’s anonymous and they can get away with it. People here only seem to care about how much money everyone is making. Extremely toxic. The whole community doesn’t care about anything of genuine value, only money. So stupid.

Good app but terrible verification system. App is like a subreddit for tech employees, except you need a work email which filters out non-productive users. The only problem is that the verification doesn’t even work! When I go through the login (both with LinkedIn and email), it just pretends like it never happened and navigates me back to the homepage, with the verified features still locked.

Crashes when login and password reset. I can’t login after the first time. I really want to try the app, but this is ridiculous.

Unable to tap on any article - screen freezes. It was all good before the recent update but now the app doesn’t allow me to tap. Just freezes

No thanks.... I don’t understand the promise of anonymity and then you ask for our work email? Seriously? No. However, I decided to go ahead and set up an account just so I could go in and see what the app is like and maybe see what others are possibly saying about my company. Still, no, because Blind would never send me the verification email. Uninstalling...

New ads display renders app unusable. The ads appear and disappear, causing the posts to get pushed up and down, making it hard to read anything but the Temu ads. Scrolling through is also a pain, as the same issues persist. The new updates are helping me quit blind. Before that, it was actually quite addicting.

Enables Solicitation. After signing up, I began to receive sales emails from companies soliciting their services to my company on both work and personal email accounts. I also started getting calls. This isn’t what I signed up for and doesn’t help me feel like I’m in a safe and secure place to use for my career. I deactivated my account because this was extremely frustrating and imposing.

Has potential, moderation needs improvement. This is an app where disgruntled employees vent about their company. Not much for the company to do to help with venting posts. Posts with name calling and toxic tone are flagged but were not removed. Make this app so it's less about venting / bragging, and more about helping companies improve will be a good start. The job ads make me cringe because as a manager, I do not want to hire from unhappy / disgruntled workers who are active on this app only to vent and brag about compensation. This app has potential but needs more strategic thinking on the product side.

Toxic community. You will find nuggets of great advice (that you could probably find elsewhere) but it will be buried under layers and layers of toxicity that will make you question if you even want to work in technology. My only hope is that people who post on blind are a self selecting group who aren’t representative of the tech community at large.

It’s a ruse. I fought with this app for hours no matter what email I gave work or not it would never let me make a post. Until finally after a while it did but as soon as I was about to submit the post it revoked my ability to make a post at all the exact message was “this account has been converted back into a read only account please submit a work email”

A lot of toxicity towards women. While some of the discussions are interesting, this "exclusive" community trends towards shaming women far too frequently. If I see a "my boss does this, she wants..." Then the replies almost inevitably target females for being weak, unknowledgeable, thin skinned, bad at their jobs, etc. I'm not a "sjw" or slept my way into a job. I've learned not to expect too much out of the echo chamber.

Black screen. Most of the time when you try to open this app, it just shows a black screen. Force restarting it works occasionally, but it’s a pain. When you access it, it’s usually just people being toxic from anonymity, but it’s still valuable to have some anonymous channel.

Not helpful for job search. I’ve found good insights using this app but as an independent contractor it feels particularly frustrating to be barred from premium features just because of an email address. Especially during Covid, when so many are out of work, it’s kind of cruel. I’m presently recruiting with FAANG but can’t participate in the conversation. Feels crappy.

Issues even signing up. I’ve had major issues even signing up. After I authenticated my email, the app asked me to identify my workplace but didn’t offer any options or any way to move to the next screen. Now every time I open the app, it’s just a blank white screen or a no internet warning.

Latest update brought it down. The app won't load for me anymore since the last update. “App Support” link from the AppStore links to a doorway page with no support email or handles or anything. Their engineers clearly don’t do support. Why is this app still on store? Isn’t it a clear violation of rules?

Majority of the discussions are useless. I joined mainly to get information on salaries, work environment, promotions etc. But most of the posts I see are nothing related to work and it’s a place for people to engage in uncivilised conversations. If you’re lucky to avoid like 10 of those nasty posts, you might find one that could be helpful in a job search, promotion or making a joining decision. The developers can do something about filtering irrelevant posts.

I was found my current job on Blind. I got a referral from someone on Blind for my current job. Now I try to pay it forward and help others by doing the same. This has been the most impactful resource for increasing my total comp.

Please turn on autocorrection for search bar. I often misspell when searching

Buggin. Super buggy. Crashes all the time. Underutilized my keyboard I’m leaving typos all over the place, why is that a cool thing to do? Just let my keyboard act like it does on all other apps. Stripped down design could be fine but it’s v unorganized. To check back on my posts I have to go dig for them unless there is a new comment I can get to it with an alert. But this is when I want to look back at an old comment with good info.

Great way to connect with coworkers and learn about the tech industry!. There can be some trolls, but I have gotten so much great advice, tips and a better understanding of both my workplace and tech industry!

Ok, but UI can be a bit obnoxious. What is with the constant “new posts” button that comes back within seconds of scrolling? It literally shows up within seconds of trying to get rid of it. Please add a way to completely disable that annoying button.

Little bit of snake oil. App claims anonymity and that Blind cannot see your email address. Yet Blind send a verification email to your work email, meaning Blind has a record of what your work email is and what company you work for. Moreover, your company knows exactly when you joined Blind, so they can potentially identify you from your usage of the app. Good concept, bad implementation.

Enjoyed it until they forced me out of fitness employer. If I create an account with a work email I expect it to last forever. Even if I leave that employer… Long story short I was logged in with an old employer then blind logged me me out. Then when I try log back in and have the correct details they said I need to “re-verify” my email. But I obviously cannot re verify since I no longer worked there and don’t have access to my old email. I think it’s valuable being able to be part of the former employer blind but Blind clearly doesn’t think so. Went from most used app to officially deleting it. Thanks but no thanks.

Can’t create a verified account. I had an account with some posts, but Blind changed to using verified work emails and now my previous account doesn’t work. Now every time I verify my work email it succeeds but won’t log me in. I work at a startup and apparently only large company email addresses work. How can you have a diverse business community with seemingly random requirements of who gets in?

Doesn't tell the real story. The app isn't going to really work for people who do not have jobs in certain companies (searched for mine and it didn't come up, it is about 10K employees). Due to the requirement for a work email address, you will never be able to use this app if you're not employed or if you are self employed. To gain full access a work email is required. What good is this app if access is limited? Better to use Glassdoor.

Great Idea, Very Buggy. The app is great for keeping up on the tech news and community but is unpolished. For example I am able to click on a DM quickly 4 times and it will open that DM 4 times. Several bugs like this hinder the UX. Other than bugs and UX flaws the app is great.

Needs work. I like the concept, but it’s not very well thought out. The app requires you to verify your identity with your work email or LinkedIn account which goes against the whole idea of being anonymous. I have a lot of dirt on my employer, but I’m not going to spill anything by risking my job. Requiring users to verify their identity is a really bad idea and will severely slow the growth of the apps community. Useless. Deleting this app from my phone.

Freedom of expression. You need to expand and respect freedom of expression. You give too much power to fragile snowflakes who always try to shut down opposing views by flagging content they do not like. How do you know it’s not people from HR who are flagging a post because they are afraid of their employees becoming aware of something? It’s ok to remove name and shame content, violence, nudity, and spam. But flagging and blocking trolling is over the top.

Good idea.. It’s a great idea. Used it for a few days. Self employed so not having a “work email” makes it worthless. Can’t interact or add value. Will be deleting.

A breeding ground for misogynist, racists and jerks. I am a woman of color working in tech. I downloaded the app and then deleted it. I read so many cruel comments about women in the workplace, bias and discrimination about latino and black workers. I would be ashamed if I owned or was the CEO and saw comments like that from employees of my company. This is an excellent way to get a bad reputation. If people want to know why the tech industry lacks diversity, inclusion, and equity, download the app and read the posts and comments.

Toxic Users. Pros: if you’re here to get information on salary comparison, it’s a good place for data; just account for the ego inflation % Cons: it’s essentially a place for closeted racists who work in tech to spew vitriol unfiltered and with no real world repercussions. Sure, they paint it in tech speak so it doesn’t violate community guidelines, but the content and message is toxic. If you’re an individual with any shred of human decency, you’ll be bothered but it. If you’re a closeted racist working as a SWE, well, here’s a place to let loose your *real* opinions.

A11y does not match. Update: bug fixed. 4 stars since still no simplified Chinese. Accessibility bug when system is set to simplified Chinese. The app is showing Korean instead. Either give us option to switch language in the app or fix the bug please.

Doesn’t connect!. Recently I have seen increase in connectivity issues. But for the last 3 days, app just doesn’t connect to my internet and I’ve checked all system settings. Not sure what’s is going on and we can’t login on browser without a password which you can’t reset. :/. Frustrating.

Disappointed. Should find a way to verify employment with a company even if you don’t have access to an official email address with your organization or company. Tried linked in verification and after log-in, I’m redirected to a page that just sends me to the App Store to DL Bind (which I’ve already done). After going back into the app, I’m still not given full access.

Hate speech abound and no dark mode. This app is a cesspool of hate speech and it gets really depressing sometimes due to the very outspokenly right wing nature of many users. Bad things said about black folks, women in tech, etc and blind hasn’t seemed to find a way to make it better. Also plz, why no dark mode yet??

Tech professionals you need this ap. Best thing to find out and network among tech professionals. Find out comp, get referrals, career advice and more. Wish I’d have known about this sooner! Don’t wait, get it now!

No company’s data is truly safe. Requires work email to verify. While I understand the purpose, the risk of exposing yourself is too high. Especially if you are a senior leader within your company and the LinkedIn verification was down—a system that has been hacked for personal data before.

Email refresh kicked people off. The whole point of blind is to get to be anonymous. Making people refresh their work email is annoying and unnecessary. The whole point is I should get to stay a part of past companies if I was once a part of them. I want to know what’s really going on should I decide to return from a different company.

Suggestion. Can we have a filter to lookup our comments on a certain post apart from oldest, newest and top? Also, a way to share only the comment rather than the whole post?

Great!. Great, anonymous work-related social network, with honest discussions and reviews of companies. Surpringly supportive community, and not very toxic. UI is a little clunky, but overall this is a super valuable app, indispensable if you care about your career.

Terrible app with terrible “community” members. First, the app is super buggy. Second, it’s Reddit except it’s a group of your coworkers saying racist, sexist, and just generally horrible things. It makes the work experience so much worse knowing how much covert hatred your co-workers have for each other and the horrible beliefs they have about entire groups of people.

Echo chamber. A bunch of salty employees/ex employees sitting around complaining about nothing meaningful or productive. Most of the time its bootlicking for whatever company whose “community” you’re in. If you disagree with the trolls you get restricted and have your comments removed, but they get to continue participating and trolling anyone that doesn’t agree with the blind adoration for the company. Blind to any sense.

toxic cesspool app. Downloaded this app to be in the know about potential layoffs and to ask people at other companies about pay ranges while interviewing. Any time I open the app it’s just conservatives complaining about woke companies and doxxing their liberal coworkers. And the redesign has shoved even more conservative troll garbage in front of your face. This app should be shut down.

Chinese censorship — favors CCP views. People are getting censored on Blind for any constructive criticism of the Chinese government. They don’t censor the same criticisms of the US Govt. Banned users are being told that they are violating discrimination policies, which is not true because it’s the govt being criticized—not a race or ethnicity. In addition they don’t respect notification preferences which is an App Store violation. I opted out of push notifications but still get them.

Life-changing app. This app allows crucial information to flow and vital connections to be made in advancing your career. It has helped me tremendously in making game-changing moves in my career, and many others as well.

Enjoy app but notifications are off. I get notifications when a new thread starts, but not when comments are added to it

Allow the font size to be adjustable. Good app, buts killer on the eyes. I can’t stay in it long. The app should at least integrate with the Apple accessibility settings. I have the font size increased and this app ignores the setting. Please make this change

New redesign and fonts make it far more pleasant to read. Have been using the app for a while. Enjoy the anonymity. Just opened the app today and love the redesign and new fonts. More pleasant to read.
