Fast and Serious. For those who want to know the state of the world over it’s the best rapid intelligence. We can see how the US leads, where democracy can grow, and access and judge paths ahead for better health, good government and protections against climate change.

Frustration. I want to be able to read stories, not just watch videos with long advertisements.

UAP Congressional Hearing Coverage. The way they have covered the confessional testimonies of David Fravor, David Grusch and Ryan Graves so far is reprehensible. Sad to inject so much doubt and bias into a story that is just beginning to take root. Seems like an agenda is behind the scenes. If they were interested in being unbiased and representing the public, they should show some outrage at how muted the hearing has to be due to the over classification of US top secret programs.

Love this channel. It is my main source of information I trust this station above all other source of info it’s the only channel that if not sure facts are completely accurate let’s u know in broadcast I have never found fake news at this site

News only through podcasts??. I absolutely hate only being able to hear the news, I want to read articles for myself and be shown the graphs before my own eyes. I cannot find a single written piece on here, maybe it used to include them but it does not whatsoever anymore. It should advertise itself as a podcast app so I don’t waste my time!

Easy to use and fair clear interesting content. All programs are easy to access.

Your earthquake story. I just listen to the story of the Syrian family living in southern Turkey in a tent. I listened to little Nada talk about how she lives her little friends she plays with, how she loves her father and mother, and how so very cold she is at night. I began to weep that such a sweet child, one of many I am sure, should suffer so terribly as the world looks on. I am not wealthy but I wonder how the wealthy of the world could hear this sweet child’s words and do nothing! How someone could grab a beer from the fridge as they sail their yacht and not even think about Nadia and her family’s suffering. thank you for the story though it troubled my soul deeply.

Thurman Lawson. I just installed this app and going thru the news sections. My phone is showing two of the news sections still running in the app after I shut them down !! What is going on here??? I can see now that I won’t be watching what I did watch on here.. I guess google & Apple are going to control this app as they do with all the others.. A very very big disappointment to us older generation elders…

Excellent updates. Love the daily audio news update. Gives me a solid start to the day with a morning news briefing while brushing my teeth

Always first to report the big news from around the world.. My go yo app to find out what real news is breaking from around the globe.

Problems with button locations. This app could be great, but it puts buttons at the edge of the screen, overlapping the clock, network status, and battery status. Because of that placement, the buttons are visible but can’t be used.

Weak. It works and the reporting is excellent BUT (1) organization is bad, it’s hard to find what you want if you know what you want or, if you don’t, to know what you’re looking at, (2) the graphics are not good, (3) there are no user controls; for instance, you can’t select favorites or subscribe or sort, you can’t make a playlist, you can’t set it to stop when your program ends, you can’t set the playback speed

Thanks, but can you please.... I live in Africa, and am very grateful for this app on long car trips. I listen and learn, instead of stressing about the traffic! It would be that much better if I could add the app icon to Car Play so that I don't have to fiddle with my phone. Please add this feature.

Great content, annoying interface. I hate that this app has to be not only open but also front screen to work over Bluetooth. Works fine when it’s just on the phone speakers however.

More content. More non-repeated content, please. Thank you for providing international content. As an American, I appreciate you casting a wide net to hear the stories from all corners of humanity, worldwide. More stories from all over the world, please!

Could be better. The app sorts podcasts in an odd way. Why doesn’t it sort by date and time? It’s cumbersome to actually find the latest 5 minute update. Also, there is no feedback link or help link within the app. So I had to mention this sorting issue in a review which can’t be good for the app producer.

The earlier version was better!. You can’t get any information without opening each section. There should be some indication as to what subject is covered. In every one of the news items. It doesn’t show up on this version like it used to in the older versions.

Global podcast. This podcast is “global news” in name only. Instead telling me the important events of world today, and providing me with an objective analysis, the podcast goes into some extremely remote stories such as the Mississippi jail. As an old journalist myself, my editors admonished me to tell the most important stories first. After the first five minutes, it is extremely hard to retain the listeners or readers interested. I am very disappointed and find the podcast a total waste of my time.

B B B World Newd. I find your app the must accurate and far reaching service available. Most of the US news is provincial and biased and directs the American public to their way of thinking. Most US news is opinion not fact . Just one persons opinion. R. D. CALVERLEY

Used to be better. I have used this app as my primary news source for years now, but the recent update seems like a step back. One complaint I have is that the photos within a story are low resolution and you cannot even click on the pictures to see a higher resolution photo like you could in the previous version of the app. Why would they take a feature away in an update? Anyway, I'll give three stars for the journalism alone, which is good, but the app itself is not as good as it was before.

News Worthy. Excellent news, terminology outstanding. Topics on target. I find reading the articles and scanning the subtitles to be on target to be what I’m looking to learn about and what I’m looking at learning.

Essential listening.. Great news app. Essential to get a note complete picture and understanding of news around the world which most news networks don’t cover.

One of the great english-language news sources.. I particularly like them as they have a broader perspective on the United States than the sources with in that country. Beyond their news, they also have a great cultural perspective. Hail, Brittania!

AWFUL. This is such a total downgrade frqm the previous app - or is it because this version is meant for app store american viewers ~ either way it is totally horrid .The app I had for ages was more than ´ the daily news' of the day. I used it mostly re: areas of interest to me that were relevant ~ where I learned from them . Am dumping this & hope there will be a return of that TERRIFIC version.

Format Suggestion. I would appreciate more written text - and text instead of videos as more information can be learned from the written word than from video segments.

One request. On the new iPhones, it is difficult to set the sleep timer when listening to live radio — the button for the sleep timer overlaps the signal strength/Wi-Fi/battery info. I would listen more if this was fixed.

Schedule. I have an iPad and it is an excellent app provided you don’t mind waiting 12 to 24 hours to get the news. Sometimes the app just doesn’t work at all. It used to be a find out but now it’s not very good. Al Jazeera would probably be better or radio Netherland or radio Sweden.

What we hear are sounds, and yet what we perceive is the world.. BBC’s intent is well tuned to the need of our minds, and your effort is well meant for the need of our emotions. We humans are the sensing flowers of the world. Flowers create pollen and nectar from what they feed. Pollen creates more flowers, good human beings; Nectar produces humming birds, our greater humanity :-)!

Highly recommended. As an English teacher I highly recommend this app for all english learner that wish enhance listening skills.

To my dismay. I downloaded the app 3 days ago an upon sending this review I shall delete the app.! Why because when I close my eyes I see everything and everyone draped in a Palestinian Flag with signs saying let us complete Hitlers task an rid the world of the Jewish Nation! I mean it pathetic

This of THE place. If you want factual information about world news and issues, this is where you want to listen. Thorough reporting with interviewers who are unafraid to ask the tough questions and demand answers from the interviewees.

World News. The content is informative and insightful; Unfortunately could not watch the video. The program should be accompanied by video.

Interesting, thought provoking, expanding. The content will expand your universe. Meet the people in the news, look into other cultures, grow and learn.

Don’t like the auto play advertising. I get having to advertise, but the ads that play video are obnoxious. When Closing a news feed, these sometimes play automatically and it makes me not want to use the app.

Re This App. Very cool, not waste my time searching the internet for credible information/news. I am able to in short time get updates on world news summary!

Real News. Only source I know of that gives me a world wide report throughout the day. Unlike most other news sources in the US that usually stop at the borders😎

An online written version. I would continue taking the app if a written version, similar to the AP were available. I’m hard of hearing and would enjoy being able to read the news even if it were merely transcriptions. Big wave surfing meters to feet conversion. Shocked to just hear a report on big wave surfing in which your reporter told us (twice) that the ~30 meter wave was 40 feet tall! Fact checkers all on tea break?

Needs Captioning Option. There is no setting or way to turn on captioning. I consider this a serious flaw.

Frustrated. I was looking for an app that I could use on my ipad that would adjust itself when I rotate/change the way I view my ipad. Having my ipad attached to a keyboard kind of prevents me from viewing at a angle that I prefer. Maybe one day you will update and I will try using the app again, but until then. Not sure why so many apps make you watch in portrait view instead of an option.

Concise informative reporting. The news presentation is accurate, concise, focused and non biased. Opinions of interviewees are not judged by the reporter/analysts. Rather honest and true reporting of situations that is of interest to myself is well presented. I find the integrity of the management’s operation of the news service up-lifting.

Sound issues. Why does the radio not continue playing after minimizing the app. Continuing to listen to the radio player while actively reading or doing other task. The radio player just stops as soon as some other task is done on the device. It should continue playing whatever the listener is listening to. Unless it’s paused or stopped. What fails. Does the player version need to be updated.

Min. I hope this station is not controlled by Soros Seems like I am hearing more. News from here than ABC, CBS, NBC, CMBC, CNN I hope u don’t let any Billionair tell u what to say. I understand Soros is buying up about 280 raido stations. I hope u keep telling the truth I live in the States, I am hearing u on the internet. 📖✝️🕊️😊🇺🇸

Comment on news quality. Always clear, always to the point, ALMOST always unbiased, EXCEPT when it concerns Gaza-Israel war: bias towards Israel, overlooking some the humanitarian scandal, disaster and genocidal qualities on the Israeli side: NOT BECOMING OF THE BBC’s reputation of being objective, two-sided and fair. WATCH YOUR WORDS AND THOUGHTS! This disaster was 75 years in the making, you all know it, and you have the responsibility to remind the audiences.

Love it. The fact that they have the timer is amazing, so that the stream automatically shuts off after a predetermined time that you’ve chosen, is fantastic.

BBC APP. I am unable to use or make sense of the BBC APP., for a reasonably long time. I would suggest make it like ALJAZEERA ! Simple & straightforward.

App that does what it needs to do. The app works very well and allows you to listen live. The snooze function is very much appreciated. One idea for future updates: - start playing option when open, that plays the radio live not a previous news bulletin.

Audio fault. When my AirPods fall out of my ears the audio should stop. But instead it switches to my iPhone speaker. Which can be loud. Please change the coding so the audio just stops. Or at least give the user the choice.

What happened. Not news worthy anymore. Too much focused on catering to the Woke society

Intelligent Objectivity. This is the only AM radio service in Australia that operates overnight and makes one feel like a world citizen. Its insights into history, foreign cultures, health, psychology, sociology, science, computing and world politics just to name a few areas of coverage make me feel so well informed !! The only broadcasts which I dread relate to English Soccer games.

Pop up ads intrusive and dangerous. I try to use the app to listen and sometimes it prevents this and forces me to open my browser instead to download software- the only way to avoid this is to shutdown the app and reopen. Also the pop up’s often hide buttons. I am contemplating deinstalling it . If this behaviour happens again I will.

BBC News is SoOOO very accurate and comprehensive.. With unbiased, clearly truthful I depend on it!! So many other newscasts across the world are so biased and can’t be counted on

No Remembrance Day. Could not see any headlines regarding Remembrance Day! I find this totally unacceptable and am embarrassed that a British site has missed this opportunity.

Not as much content and poorly organized. Sadly, the new design holds less content and is poorly organized for the type of use I need. I think this goes beyond one’s natural resistance to change; it’s simply less user friendly. I read the news on my phone daily, often several times. Why fix what’s not broken. I loved the old format. Perhaps I’ll adjust to this newer version of the site and figure out how to get something similar to the varied info of the previous version, however at the moment all I see is a very broken up site that requires a great deal more input and decision making from me. Frustrating. Its also much harder to run the app on my car radio than previously, with the sound frequently dropping out. That seldom happened before.

The new BBC news app. The new BBC news app is not user friendly. The main issue is: 1) it seems all the news are audio now, but I prefer to read most of the news; 2) I couldn’t find my old personalized news

Why do you not allow the screen view to rotate?. I thought I would try the BBC World Service app, because I just deleted the latest update to my BBC News app because it had removed my ability to choose the topics in which I was interested. And then I see that the World Service app does not rotate to landscape view - which is my normal. Very frustrating, and a short-lived experience or y9our app for me - which I will not delete!

Outstanding. An excellent easy to access application that keeps me connected with world events no matter where I’m in the world.

Basically unusable. Huge step backwards.. No ability to chose my interests / subjects. Why no UK section anymore?

It’s good. The app is good and doesn’t require a log in, which is nice. Kudos to the BBC for not turning news into a subscription service. The app is a little glitchy. Sometimes it doesn’t work properly and the screen doesn’t respond, but it’s free and no paid features, so I can’t complain. I wish there was an option to see what you’ve listened to, so you can go back and listen again or share them easier.

BBC LOSES ME. I am British and Canadian and have lived in a dozen countries and have followed BBC my whole life for the morning truth, wherever I was. The move from the text to audio video news will force us to find our news elsewhere. The text version allowed one to skip quickly vertically and horizontally to news stories and go as deep or as shallow as the eyes permit ………. first thing in the morning, BBC news. That has come to a crashing end with this change.

Regarding app. I do not like the changes made recently to this app so will no longer use it to get my news

Bad News Channel doing bad things. When I find out you did the same things as CNN You are not my news channel anymore! My last advice: Do the real news and must be neutral all the time!

refresh issues. love it, except on iphone 11 latest ios, the app rarely refreshes hourly news audio material properly if the app has been left open, even when you swipe down to force a refresh - super annoying. i have to close and reopen the app TWICE to be sure i'm hearing the latest news

Breath of fresh air. What a treat to watch a major news network that actually reports the news without bias.

Great but needs one more feature. I think the app is great but they need to update the app so that it can work with the widgets page on iOS! For quick and easy access to the top news headlines

Fox and CNN. This a lot better app than the competition. It doesn’t lag, nor does it stall. I don’t have to retry.

Customiztion removed. Since your new upgrade, I am no longer able to customize my news feed. I do not want your algorithms choosing what news you think is most important to me. Please reinstate the option to choose and sort the topics that are of interest to me.

American media too USA-centric. What’s happening in Russia? China? Africa? South America? Only what threatens American interests gets reported in American Media. We’ve become blind to the world, and Ignorance only makes us pliable for politicians.

Poor Format. Content is good but for some strange reason the app only displays in portrait mode which makes it hard to use on smaller tablets. Would be much better if it displayed in landscape mode. This is the 21st century. Let the user make the choice.

Too many annoying pop up ads. And it’s hard to exit them. Am not opposed to adverts, but surely there must be a better way.

Why 2 min instead of 5min?. I love this app but did not appreciate the switching to only 2 min of world news in the morning, versus the previous 5min :(

Not up-to-date. Newshour runs 8-9am EDT, but at 9am the app is still running previous evening’s news! Still so at 10 am. Same problem with Africa today. Long delays in updates. We don’t want yesterday’s news!

Calm,rational coverage. This program does not engage in loud speculative programming. The coverage is balanced and presented in a calm steady manner that does not hold back when hard questions need to be addressed.

The app is flawed - Does not update automatically. The app has become flawed with the most recent release and does not update automatically. I have to delete it and reinstall it every time to get the latest news. So stopped reading it.

Poor performance. It rarely updates. The news cycle can be eight hours or more old rather than the latest version. One must uninstall and reinstall the app to make it work

Nothing works anymore!. Have you stopped supporting older devices?!

Longtime user despises inclusion of adverts. Loved this app and a big fan of the content - listen all night sometimes - that is until the recent adverts. If you want me to consume your Americanized version of propaganda, you'll have to find a new way. I'm deleting this app over the recent inclusion of ads, which is a nonstarter for me. Short sighted move!

Convenient!. Live radio, journalist story's, podcast. Full Documentaries, not half. Easy to navigate.

All podcasts/video not much readIng. Was looking to have some better grasp of world news from USA but most all are podcasts-great for my phone w ear buds but not preferred on ipad. Should make an option to turn off headlines that are strictly video/podcast for those who prefer quiet reading.

Don’t like new format. Something changed and I am not a fan. It seems like it is only video or audio clips. I prefer to read stories! Sorry but this service is no longer for me. Thanks for the years of service.

IPad portrait view.. It is almost impossible to use the App if one has a keypad attached and it seems no way of changing back to landscape

Closed Captions. If they are available, I have yet to find them, leading me to believe my American brain doesn’t subscribe to the same sorting logic as my cousins across the pond. So, continuing the search is my mission so I can understand all the things that are said and shown with every tool at my disposal… if it’s there?!?

Well-rounded and unbiased. I listen at least twice a day. It helps to hear news that’s not all about the US.

What happened to the schedule?. The schedule displays only past dates. It used to display past, current, and future dates. Please reinstate the full schedule.

Not updated frequently. The same news articles hang around way too long. Considering what is going on in the world there should be fresh material all the time.

I appreciate that this exists. Great way to hear a digest of important world news not weighted to one country. It’s a good way to hear prioritized news without algorithms or personalization.
