Podcast App Comments & Reviews 2026

Better than Apple’s. Update: I don’t know what your latest update was about but now there are annoying popup ads. When driving it was easy to just do a quick tap to open or change a podcast. Now you have to tap the X to close the ad or tap the ‘skip this video’ in order to move on. That said what I said below a few years ago and gave 5 stars still stands. Disappointed though that having to reload your podcasts on updates or glitches still happens: IMO this podcast app is more user friendly than Apple’s. The only drawback is when there is a iPhone systems update, it deletes apps on this platform unless I’ve also download the podcast on the Apple app. Then I can transfer the podcasts over. However if I forget to do that, I have to download the podcast(s) again but now it no longer shows what episodes I’ve already listened to but as a new podcast. Very frustrating.

Ads Make Unusable. This used to be my go to app for years. I put up with it constantly crashing, but now the ads make it almost completely unusable. Many of the ads are not able to be closed out. So an update to my former review. Even with all its faults, it is my favorite Podcast App. I went ahead and paid the fee, which is not much I think it’s like $35 or something and I’m much more happy with it now. It’s worth every penny. If you’re on the fence, I would say go ahead and subscribe. You’ll have a much better experience and it gives you features that I have not been able to find it any other podcast

No ability to organize by topic - it’s a podcast blender. First, I do like the ability to browse and see related podcasts and the number of listeners. However, I listen to a LOT of podcasts, and as far as I can discover, there is no way to group podcasts by category. in Overcast, for example, I have podcasts grouped separately into news, history, science, stories, etc. In The Podcast App, by contrast, everything is all a mishmash in one giant podcast blender. And within that mishmash I have to hand pick which episodes to listen to. For me, this is like taking my music collection and mixing all the genres together, or walking into a library and finding the books shelved randomly without regard to topic. Thus, my use of this app is pretty much limited to discovering new podcasts, and then adding those to my reluctant app of choice, which is Overcast. In reality, my heart really belongs to the old version of Stitcher before they broke it in late 2020 with an “update” that stripped out all the features I listed above, as well as the best feature of all, which I still haven’t found duplicated anywhere else: only showing and playing the single latest episode in a customized order of podcasts. If a given podcast has no latest update since my last listen, then it is skipped in the auto play sequence, and the sequence proceeds down the list. This was so great, because if was away from the app for a few days, I heard the freshest stuff, and not multiple recent episodes of a podcast showing up in my playlist. Ok thanks for letting me dream of what once was, and to continue wondering why it’s not the norm.

Used to love. I used to love this app. I wrote a 5 star review and loved everything about it. In the last week though, episodes won’t download whether I’m on WiFi or cellular data. The episode looks like it’s downloading fine, then it deletes itself and the little green download circle starts all over again. And it never actually finishes downloading. This happens over and over and over until I just give up. I went over my cellular data limit (8 gb!) last month for the first time because of this issue, and I’ve sent 3 emails to support including a screen recording showing the issue as it’s happening, and no one has written back or tried to fix it. I am a paying subscriber and have plenty of storage available on my phone, and excellent internet connection, so my phone isn’t the issue. It’s a shame because I’m definitely willing to pay for an app that works, and the design of this app really is better than any other I’ve found. It’s intuitive and easy to use. But the lack of response from support and not being able to download any episodes makes this app useless for me. If anyone ever writes back or fixes this issue I will gladly change my review to 5 stars again. I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but this seems to be the only way I can hopefully get the developer’s attention. 🙁

Great app, questionable memory. This is a great app and I specially love how easy it is to know when there are new episodes out. The only problem I have is that for each episode I start listening, the app takes up more memory. Even when I am done listening to the episode the memory usage doesn’t go back down and it seems to just keep accumulating (I only listen to podcasts while on Wifi and never download episodes to listen offline, so not sure why the memory taken needs to keep going up). Anyway, to me this would easily be the best podcast app if it didn’t take up all that memory, and I would love to go back to using this app and change this review to 5 stars if that got fixed.

Why can’t we rate shows?. I use this app all day everyday. My biggest gripe is that you can’t rate and review podcasts. It honestly makes no sense. Much better than apple’s podcast app but I still go there to rate all my podcasts and find new ones based on my ratings. Ok so now I’m super frustrated. This app has become so slow. Dunce January, even though I am a paying subscriber, I get soooo many ads. It takes forever for the ad to stop, c out of it and get to the podcasts again to either rewind or change the episode I’m listening to. So frustrating. I decided that I’m going to give apple podcasts another try. Really sad after 5 years that the ads I’m paying to avoid are pushing me out. Canceled my subscription just now. Also still frustrated years later that you can’t rate shows.

Super Slow to load, paid subscription says “canceled” after paid. I’ve had this for few years bc good friend has a podcast and it was originally exclusive to this app. She was very excited to work with this app company. Now that she has gotten traction and is on a couple other apps - I’m out. I’m going back to Apple Podcast app bc this one is super annoying - slow to load, will stop or fail to start playing and sit and “load”, sometimes for hours. Then there’s the “Premium Subscription”. Subscription supposed to expire Dec 30, 2023, but forgot was on Apple Pay auto, so they took my money and renewed for another year. Let it go for couple months then canceled so it wouldn’t renew end of 2024. Still paid for the whole year - right?! Nope. Even tho I paid $35 for “Premium” January of 2024, the Podcast App lets me sign in, but does not play without ads, playback is reverse order, still takes forever to load, subscription still says “expires Dec 30” but WHICH Dec 30? I guess 2023, not the $35 newly paid 2024 scrip. I guess the moral is; if you pay for this app you have maybe MAYBE 12 hours to if you want to cancel between end of old scrip and beginning of new scrip or they will take your money for the whole next year and cancel your Premium Membership you just paid for. If I could add pics to this review I would show my Account in Settings with the scrip still paid and active and the Podcast App load screen that wants me to pay another $35 to listen to podcasts I paid $35 for three months ago.

Loved the app but have had issues. So I love this app, and I use it about every day. But for at least the last few days, it’s been having issues with autoplaying the next episode. In that it doesn’t auto play at all and I have to open the app to play the next episode. And a few times it suddenly cuts out and stops playing, then I have to go to the app and start it again. So I’ve tried closing the app, restarting my phone, I updated the app and then tried deleting and redownloading the app, which has only lead to more problems. The option to continue listening to an episode from the home page is gone, and I have to go to the recommended section to find that, which is annoying and frustrating. And when I try to rearrange my list of podcasts it starts switching between small thumbnails and larger thumbnails, and the switching happens in a way that makes it impossible to actually rearrange them. Overall, I’ve used the app for around 6 months and I’ve enjoyed it until a few days ago.

Used to work great, mostly....and it devours data even when it doesn’t have access to it. So here is an update to my last two reviews...a few months ago this app used all my months cellular data in the first two days of my billing cycle even when it didn’t have access to my cell data. It was supposed to only use WiFi. Well I’ve been watching and it seemed the issue was fixed....until today.....half my cell data is gone again due to this app....and my phone tracked its use of the data even when it isn’t supposed to have access to my cell data....I have no idea how that happens but I’m done with this app....the other issues from my second review listed below still exist as well....and I have deleted and reloaded the app....no help.....2nd review is below...this app used to work great with the exception of burning up all my data in two days last month. Now the app crashes and freezes all the time. Also it doesn’t seem to want to download new podcasts for future listening and many of the ones that I have already downloaded over WiFi and show available to listen to off line won’t play anymore without being connected to WiFi. When I try to download new podcasts for future use it just sits and won’t download and old ones already downloaded fail to play off line. Help.

Updated review. I was impressed with the memory fix and had to give this app another try. I must say I like the app better now and one of the nice features is searching for an episode across multiple podcasts.. One thing still missing - Be able to make a playlist of all the episodes I want to listen later without downloading the episodes to my phone. Put this feature in and I will be a loyal paying customer Earlier review - -------------------- For all the best features of this app, I couldn't understand how using the app for three days could consume 1 Gb in app memory. I don't have podcasts downloaded, and there is no way to clear the cached data. I was impressed with the suggestions feature which shows recommendations based on your listening history.

Love the app but reinstalling breaks subscription. /UPDATE: the most recent update has fixed the ability to Restore my active subscription so I am now VERY PLEASED with this app overall. Many thanks to the dev team for getting this sorted out. /UPDATE: after several app updates I still can’t restore my already paid for subscription. The app is great otherwise but it’s been many weeks since I paid for it and am still stuck with ads because the Restore button doesn’t work. Not cool. /UPDATE I love this app, best podcast player I’ve seen. I subscribed to it but seemed to have found a bug where removing and reinstalling the app breaks the subscription and the ads don’t go away. Can renew subscription and can’t Restore button the ads away. Not sure what to do as I can’t find a way to contact support either. This would be five stars if those things were fixed/made clearer.

My Favorite (and Most Used) App!. I use this app all the time for two reasons: I LOVE podcasts and I really enjoy the structure of this app. It has a simple layout, it looks modern and up to date, unlike Apple’s podcast app. I really, REALLY enjoy the grid layout of being able to see all of my favorite podcast at once (I hope the developers keep this). I do wish that there were settings for the user and I could customize the layout of the home listen screen, especially since I pay for the upgraded version with ads (SO WORTH IT!!). For example, I don’t really care for the top line up of new shows, I already get notifications for that and the “new” tag pops up on my podcasts when a new one is available. Also, like my second favorite app, Audible, I wish there was an option to change the background/theme to “mode” or something. Definitely not deal breakers, and I would give this app more than 5 stars if I could, but maybe in a future update. Thanks for the app!

I want to love it. This is a great podcast app. I have disliked many podcasts apps for various reasons (the native app doesn’t load new episodes quickly, even when refreshed, others have bad design) and this one solves many problems. It has good search, an easy enough design for getting to the podcasts I want to listen to. The biggest hang up I have with it is it eats space. My phone told me to manage my space since it was getting low, and this app was 1.1GB of data. But rather than just clearing a couple episodes that have been downloaded (like other apps), there is no way to see what has been downloaded, what/when episodes will be downloaded, and how to delete them once they’re downloaded. Hence my bloat problem. I had to regretfully delete the app. If there was a preference to choose when to download and to then delete, I would keep it and continue using it, even with ads.

Please add an ad-free option!. Just downloaded this app and it’s phenomenal, so much so that I wanted to invest my money and pay for an ad-free version but was disappointed to find there is no option for that. Please add it! Will you ever? 5 stars when you do. Glad to see the developers actually listen! 5 stars for adding ad-free version! You are keeping the 5 star review because you did indeed add an ad-free version. However, for $10 a year, there needs to be a little something else added to your app. Comparing The Podcast App to Overcast, TPA doesn’t give you a theme option, something Overcast gives you for free. Hopefully theming comes in a sooner rather than later update. A pure black theme for us OLED iPhone X users would be A+.

Potential, but not there yet. Podcast app has potential, but is not there yet. I’m not sure why the developers would even release this app without a “settings” option and you can just imagine how many features and customizations are missing because of this. The app needs settings, volume boost, full customization for home screen, grid change / icon display options for home screen, settings for steaming / download, and login to remember your settings. Overcast just blows Podcast app out of the water and will probably continue to do so when the newer redesigns come out. Not to mention that the developers are not participating in replying directly to most of the reviews and many emails have gone completely unanswered from other users (although developers maintain is because they were busy on a project) . The nail in the coffin is that Podcast app appears to charge you for both your iPhone and iPad device when it’s included with Overcast for one price, not two.

Great content. Great content, variety of topics ,quality people who for the most part don't have a selfish agenda, it's nice for a change to be able to chose topics other then politics that are not even real politics , seems like almost every podcast is about polotics, all contradict one another, everyone on the planet by now is well aware of the fact that it is no longer about the day to day citizens, so enough of that crap! here we got spiritual podcasts sports everything that you are interested in, music and without always ending up with how awful The system is,if you have a podcast about music or art stick to the subject and so far I found some good uplifting and entertaining shows👌

Please add a ‘podcast history’ function. I started using the app a couple months ago and am loving it so far. I only have one issue with the app. I tend to search for episodes based on topic and so have a large, and incredibly varied list of episodes downloaded at any one time. Because episodes automatically delete after being listened to, it is very difficult to later hunt down specific episodes I’ve listened to that I want to revisit or recommend to friends. My suggestion: Please include a ‘podcast history’ function on the app that lists episodes that the user has listened to. Just like browser history, users could also delete/ clear this history whenever they need.

Needs a few minor adjustments. *update - what happened to the seamless listening? It used to just go from the episode I was listening to to the very next episode. Now it stops playing and I have to go back into the app and hit play to listen to the next one. Several times when I do this it freezes up and I have to close the app or click on the next episode and back to the one I want to listen to for it to work. Disappointing changes, unfortunately... Fix these things and then I'll re-visit this rating.* Please make it to where I can tell the app I've already listened to previous episodes! It's annoying to have to click on the episode and ff all the way through to the end just to get it off my list. I love that it automatically goes from one episode to the next (unlike Apple's podcast app). That was the main reason I started using this, but now I need for it to say that I've already listened to the episodes from before I switched.

Why Every Year. This is my 5th trip through the Bible with TLC. Some would ask .. why continue.. isn’t it the same “stuff” year after year? My answer is this… God always shows me something new, something I need to learn more about and/or something I totally missed! He knows ME! Secondly, the insights and putting Scripture in the perspective of “what did I learn about GOD today has given me a better & wider understanding of who God IS! And its become increasingly apparent I need this habit DAILY to start my day off and to encourage others in this crazy world we live in. As an almost 74 year old woman, I can attest you’re Never Too Old to learn more about trusting God and His wisdom… and I DO find more & more… HE’s WHERE THE JOY IS… thank you TLC and TBR for your hard work and consistent service .

Dating detectives. **5 stars – Addictive, eye-opening, and hilariously spot-on** I've been hooked on *The Dating Detectives* since the first episode I stumbled across, and now it's my go-to podcast for commutes, workouts, and honestly any time I need a mix of true-crime chills and laugh-out-loud moments. Mackenzie (the actual private investigator) and Hanna (the comedian) are the perfect duo—their chemistry is electric. Mackenzie brings the real investigative insight and red-flag breakdowns, while Hanna's commentary and humor keep everything from getting too heavy. The guest stories are wild—liars, catfishes, con artists, full-on scammers ravaging dating apps—and they feel so real because they're told by the people who lived through them. It's equal parts "this could happen to anyone" cautionary tale and entertaining storytelling. I've learned so much about spotting manipulation and trusting my gut (or "femmetuition" as they call it), but I never feel preached at. The episodes often come in gripping two-parters, and the production quality is top-notch. If you're into true crime, dating horror stories, or just want something fresh that's not another straight murder pod, this is it. 10/10—binge-worthy, informative, and frequently makes me yell "WHAT?!" at my headphones. Can't recommend it enough. New episodes drop weekly and I literally look forward to them!

Switched to this app from the Apple app.... ...and I’m very happy!! I don’t mind the ads; I close them without even looking. I like that I can see what I’ve played and the blue dot indicates when a new podcast is on the list. I love how I can cue up a play list and press play and don’t have to deal with it for a few days (I usually put about 10-12 podcasts on the list at once). Thanks for a great app!!! Update July 2019: I’m still giving 5 stars but would love if there would be an option for “recently played” - sometimes I fall asleep listening and have no idea which episodes I’ve missed! Still a great app though!! Update June 2022: I dropped down to 4 stars because the new version no longer has the option to edit your Listen Later list. I really loved that feature and hope the developers bring it back!!

The Megyn Kelly Show. The Megyn Kelly show is amazing!! Her guests are always relevant and tend to bring interesting and unique perspectives to important topics!! I just listened to her discussion with Andrew Sullivan, with whom I wasn’t familiar, and was absolutely blown away. Megyn & Andrew’s conversation was so informative, funny and enlightening!! I will be making a bee-line to my local bookstore to get Andrew’s new book and want to find some of his writings I’ve missed!! What a fresh perspective on some of the most concerning and serious issues of our day. By the end of the interview, I felt encouraged that we can get through the madness currently consuming America and return to being proud of our Country. Fabulous show, as usual, Megyn!!!

Ads are dangerous, these developers are psychos. I think most people can agree that although staying off your phone while driving should be done 100% of the time, there will be the once in a while where you have to tap a slip or pause button while on the road. If you're driving and you need to hit one button in the app, you expect it to be a 2 second procedure, yet it is not, because as soon as you interact with the app after not doing so for more than 5-10 minutes, you will be harassed with 10 second ads that are purposely hard to close out of, and purposely put in places that are the most distracting (going to your listen later will prompt it, as well as going to your currently playing podcast, aka the 2 most used functions while listening). I then have to pullover to do what originally should have been, again, a 2 second procedure at most. Many people who are more impulsive will not pull over, and instead will probably battle with the ads with their hand still on the steering wheel, and these developers know this. They know they are creating an absolute road hazard with where they place these ads and what they look like and it's extremely disheartening to see no regard for safety or their users to this degree. You don't deserve to have an app this functional/useful to so many people, you are not responsible with the power.

It’s worth it. At first glance it seems silly to pay for an app that does the same thing free apps do. However, Apple’s native Podcast app falls short due to its poor, unintuitive design. There is no flow to the user interface. You have to wrestle through it only to have an unsatisfying experience. I went looking for a replacement and found this app so much better that I soon happily paid to remove its irritating overlay ads. You get what you pay for, it’s a pleasure to use and they earned my money. I am a frequent podcast listener trying to follow many different shows. I like to navigate while I listen, see what I recently listened to, resume partially listened episodes, view all my podcasts at a glance, get a quick handle on newly released material, etc. I’m pretty picky but this app does everything I want and I trust you will be satisfied as well.

Very happy. Update: I'm changing my review from 2 stars to 5 stars. This developer worked hard to solve my data retention issue. I'm happy to report that have been using the app for SEVERAL weeks with the improvements and I am not having issues any longer. It's a good app, works well. However I was nosing around in my iPhone storage and lo and behold see that this app has stored 10gb of data on my phone aside from the actual app. So automatically I think that episodes are being downloaded but not deleted...and maybe they are but you can't reset that because there is no settings button. And then I thought I'd contact the developer so I went to the app page in the app store...nice try...both ways to even attempt to find the developer takes me right back to the data hogging app! The only way to clear this data is to delete the app. Thank you, I think I will and look for another app when I'm done.

Buggy, slow to refresh, and often freezes. I used to really like this app, and paid for a subscription, but I’ve found lately that the app is really slow to load new episodes of podcasts. It’s also super-buggy and freezes a lot; sometimes the play button doesn’t work until I close the app and restart. (I have an iPhone 11 Pro Plus with 256GB memory with no problems loading any of my other apps.) Considering making a switch to a new podcast app but all of my favorites are saved here. Wish the developers would work on making things load faster, with fewer bugs.

Better than Apple but lots of issues. I’ve been using this for about a year after Apple podcasts did all their stupid thing. It’s been semi-functional the entire time. They recently added a few features that I wanted to review. We now can create playlists! But there’s a lot of problems. First of all, you can’t add episodes that you’ve downloaded to any playlists. You have to go to the podcast itself and add it to the playlist there. Furthermore, you can’t add an episode from the search inside each podcast header. This is annoying if you’ve got an episode from 2018 and the podcast updated each week—lots to go through. Lastly, it doesn’t seem like you can delete playlists?!?! It wouldn’t be so frustrating if there were a user guide available. But there is no user guide. You can send an email to the developers, and they do answer pretty quickly, but sometimes I just wanna look up an answer in a Q&A or something. Also, the name of the app, “ podcasts app “, is so generic you can’t Google for answers either. The app also automatically delete episodes you’ve listen to, and there’s no way to turn that off. Why?? I can’t really complain considering it’s a free app, but some of the implementations just don’t make any sense. QA testers failed big time.

Mary and Blake Outlander Cast. Hi Mary and Blake! Just finished 8.08 lister review and heard the Apple podcast reviews and had to write. I found your show one day while out walking. My son had just tried to commit suicide and I was walking as part of my therapy trying to deal with this. So thankful to say he is so much better and is living a happy, successful life. I’m convinced finding your show was not an accident but an intervention to give me hope and joy. Every day that I walked your show brought me happiness and helped me heal. You have been such a delight to my life. I have laughed until I cry and wondered if Blake would be able to breathe laughing so hard at something Mary said. Jars of Clay anyone? You two are the best and I give you a million stars! Thankful for the joy you have brought me.

My go to podcast app!. I switched to this app from the Apple app years ago and have never regretted it. it’s a nice, light, air design, but more than that it is super user-friendly and intuitive. I love that I can have my favorite podcasts all in one place and know who’s dropped a new one. In another view, I can see the episodes in order of release dare on all my favorites in one list, no tapping around the app to collect them one by one! The other thing I really love is that I can save episodes to listen later (just once) in a list and it auto clears them once I’ve listened to them. I can also create a playlist to listen to again and again. These guys are killing it! If there’s a development opportunity, I would say it’s around the ability to organize podcasts within the permanent playlist, though that might be my user error. I would love to be able to reset the podcast easily – I have a Yoga playlist and I would love to have a single button “start from the beginning “option.

Good App but startup ads very annnoying. I’ve used this app for several years and love it. It’s come a long way. However, the ads that pop up when starting the app can be annoying. Example. I open the app, an ad comes up. I wait till I can close it. I then start a podcast and another ad comes up but it blocks me from stopping the audio player until the add runs its course. If you want it to be quiet for a reason, like someone starts talking to you, it won’t let me stop the audio player until the ad runs its course and I can X out of it. I have to scramble with my phone volume to mute the audio when the ad comes up. There has to be a better way maybe a player that stays on top of the ads at the bottom so we can still access it in a hurry (kids walk in and you don’t want them hearing the crime podcast but you can’t stop it cause the ad is blocking it.) Also, the X is in different places sometime or it’s white on a light background app so it’s hard to find.

No auto-play?. I have used the heck out of this app and it is mostly awesome. It just has a weird quirk where podcasts don’t automatically play the next episode. It used to. I thought maybe they’d changed that in an update, but I just went back and caught up on another podcast with 4 new eps since the last time I’d listened, and those DID start right off—when one episode ended, the next one would start playing after only a second or two. Most of the time, when one episode ends, it moves to the next episode and just stops. I have to hit play for it to start loading the ep, wait a few secs for it to stop loading and say “error,” turn my wifi off and back on again, go back to the app, hit “play” again, and usually do that a few more times while I wait 5-10 min for it to download the entire episode. Then I have to go to the podcast’s page, scroll to find the last ep I’d listened to, hit play on THAT, then go to the one I just loaded and hit play on that. Then it will play. I know my connection speed is slow, but it does this when I’m connected in other locations with better speeds. I was just resigned to this weird buggy thing until I just checked up on that other podcast and it actually started playing the next ep right away without nannying and cajoling, and before it had downloaded the whole thing. Is that just happening to me?

The time of saving 2026. Thank you for sharing the bible readings to the world in this pod cast. I just started listening two days ago. But I have been a catholic my whole life. The family I was adopted into is a very devout catholic family. I was baptized as a baby when they first brought me home. I continued to go to mass every Sunday to lead me to my first confession and first communion as a second or third grader. Then I was confirmed at 15 years of age. I was brought up in continued catechism from kindergarten through high school and completed these rights of the church. I had my son out of wedlock at 19 years of age. He is my only child. I had a very clear dream of who he was and who he would become. I had an abortion (this was 2002) scheduled for the next day after that dream of who he was going to be, what he looked like and what he was going to bring to the world, that God wanted him to be my only son…. I decided to have the baby that would be the most amazing beautiful man that absolutely saved me from myself. My son has grown up in the church as well and now is married to the most amazing woman and they are blessed to be having their first child any day now! Such a blessing!!! I can’t wait for our family to continue and build in the lords name. I have been turning back to the church. I was lost for most of my twenties and thirties form the church. I still went to church every so often but didn’t have the discernment to make myself go every Sunday. I was in a very very abusive relationship for 14 years while my son was growing up but covered it up and he didn’t see me in very good condition. The person I was with made me out to a horrible person. I fell into alcoholism deeply and was in and out of jail as a conduit to deal with the abuse I was going through. It’s very hard to explain my life feelings and mental health state. I really want to heal my soul and truly turn back to God and Jesus’s saving grace. I am only a servant of the lords grace but I truly need so much help. Can you please help me? My life story can’t even begin to be explained in this text. Please help me!

After being a loyal user for a long time, it’s time to switch, too many crashes and bugs. The title pretty much says it all. This was the first specific podcast app I ever tried and I fell in love with it initially because of its simplicity and intuitiveness. Unfortunately, over the last four or five months, I have been averaging upwards of 2 to 3 full crashes per day with only this app, never issues with any other ones. If it was just an issue where the app closed out and I could immediately open it again, I would not even be writing this review. But what happens 90% of the time with a crash is that I am then forced to restart the entire phone, and I then have about a 50-50 chance as to whether the app will actually load at that point, or if I need to cycle the phone off and on again — or just wait a while for the wind to change or the app gods to favor me. Otherwise, the app will remain frozen and no amount of closing and reopening will make a difference, I’ve got a bricked podcast app until it decides to start working again. I want to reiterate that I might have an issue with another app crashing about once a month on average, if that even, but I experience at least 100 crashes per month with only this podcast app alone. Seems pretty cut and dry to me, so unless I’m missing something I believe it is time to make a change to another app. It’s a shame since I just re-upped my annual subscription, but worth it to move to a platform that will not consistently ruined my listening experience, typically right when I’m in the middle of something critical at work and trying to focus in, or on a run where it is difficult to fiddle with my phone.

It’s the best app I’ve used so far. Love this podcast app. Definitely the best I’ve used so far as well. Some podcasts I like to listen to, I want to listen to older archived episodes and this is the only app that I’ve used that has downloaded all episodes of any podcast. Other apps I’ve used only download the past 10-15 or so, so this is a big plus for for. I like the grid layout on the main page as well. My only gripes with the app is that isn’t a universal settings page. I’d like to change it where it doesn’t play the next episode automatically, once the podcast is done I’d like to either choose my next episode or just be done listening entirely. I also wish there was a dark mode as well, though that is purely cosmetic. It’s a well thought out app and works amazingly, just wish there was a way to change a few settings app wide.

Love it! But could love it more.... I use this app easily and daily. I’ve discovered podcasts I wouldn’t have otherwise. The native Apple app did not sell me on podcasts —This app made me someone who listens alllll the time! A couple of things that could make this better: **I don’t seem to have good luck with trying to sort episodes in either chronological or reverse order... both would be great ** I’d also love it if it more accurately tracked which episodes I’ve listened to. There are appx 1 million This American Life episodes ;) and I’d love it if it clearly (and always) indicated which ones I’ve listened to and/or how much. **Playlists would be cool so I could set up what I want to hear in order... for a given period of time without having to try to find while at stoplights. It would just play! Or if they went in chronological order (they don’t!), skipping the ones I’ve already listened to. Listen Later is good for episodes I know I want to hear but not right then. But if I want to do specific ones in specific order, I’m not able to or haven’t figured out how. None of these are dealbreakers at all, but they would be great user-friendly enhancements. :)

Awful Update Changes. For years I have been using this app and after the most recent update, I couldn’t be more frustrated with it. The new interface makes it more inconvenient to access the podcasts I had subscribed to and listen to on the daily. Being someone who is not always looking for the newest podcasts, I very often dive into different episodes that are not the latest. I suppose only ever being caught up is what is expected of the now short term attention spans people have. I have to go through a series of “Whats new” options passing as if watching someone’s stories from Instagram or Snapchat. I can’t simply select the podcast which would normally direct me right to the list of episodes within the podcast I had subscribed to. WHY?! Not only does it take forever to access the page I had subscribed to, it doesn’t even play. I waited over 20 minutes for an episode to load thinking it might be my service, internet connection, or my phone in general, so I shut my phone off and tried other routes and still nothing. After using this app, I am entirely and completely over it. It’s irritating enough that people who think they’re doing better by upgrading something and giving in to the modern era of thinking is frustrating.

New ads popping up literally every time I open it.. This app was good after stitcher shut down, but now they have become ad driven and every time I open the app (even if I am already listening and just need to bring up the app to rewind) an ad pops up and I have to wait for that to end before I can do anything. And when you are trying to open for just a second while you are multitasking, this is a serious hiccup. I finally had enough today when one of those ads that are tricky to close popped up and I ended up having to restart the app just to get to where I was. Oh, and when one episode ends and you have the next one set to begin, the app won’t start the next episode (I guess because it didn’t get the chance to show an ad if you aren’t opening/closing) and you literally have to close the whole app and restart it to get it going again, once you have watched the ad. It is seriously annoying and if they needed the ad revenue, they could have done this in a different way.

Great Podcast. “Against the Rules” written and recorded by Michael Lewis on Pushkin Industries is extraordinary. I listen to it everyday when I take my walk. Michael explores vital issues and does it by asking questions to the most knowledgeable people in the issue he is exploring. When I say most knowledgeable people, I am not saying these are famous people or writers; most often they are ordinary people who have been personally effected by a problem. His segment on student loans and how they are processed in the private sector was the most vivid description of how a program meant to help economically needy people can be manipulated by the private sector to destroy people’s lives. He interviews one woman who was eligible for loan forgiveness because she teaches public school, who was never informed of this. If you are interested in fairness in America, this program is perfect for you.

Use it all the time. I have been using this app for a couple of months now and I much prefer it over the other podcast apps I have tried, specifically Apple Podcasts. I love the way the listen later section is set up and how easy it is to set up hours and hours of listening as I normally listen while I work or drive so I can’t be on my phone looking for episodes or stoping and starting podcasts. The only reason I haven’t given it a full five stars is I have found that certain podcasts have had playback issues or have had multiple versions of the same episode uploaded making it hard to know which ones work and which don’t, but I am not sure where this error comes from. Other than that I love this app!

Missing many utility features. I’ve been using the Podcasts app for a few days now and overall I’m not super impressed. I love the design, colors, and the fact that it has all the podcasts I want to listen to. But my enthusiasm stops there. There are many features missing from the app that are deal breakers for me. Here’s my list: - The app is missing a way to manage notifications. Every single day I get a notification reminding me how many downloaded episodes I have and to go listen to them. I do listen to them. Every day. I don’t need a reminder and there is no way to turn it off other than turning off notifications all together. Additionally, there isn’t a way to turn off new episode notifications for specific podcasts. - Sort order. I saw several other reviews mention this. There is not a way to change the sort order to reverse chronological or by listened / not listened. Listen later also has no way to sort by podcast. - There isn’t a way to mark an episode as played. Coming from another podcast app, it was annoying that I couldn’t go through the list of episodes and mark ones I’ve already listened to as played. - No options for automatic downloads. The app is completely void of any download strategy options. - Not a deal breaker for me like some of the others listed above, but I’d like to be able to customize the length of the fast forward and rewind buttons. 30 seconds forward and 10 seconds back and good defaults, but I personally would have them set differently. This app is missing too many things for me to use it as my main podcast app. Add some of these features and I’ll be back in a flash!

Always so wonderful! And Life chamging. I am so blessed every day as I hear messages that really make a difference in my life. The emphasis on living the Christian Life of obedience proceeding from a heart of “Love” for God, rather than fear really has resounded old and clear - and the FACT that even our love fir Him is a gift from Him makes everything work better - Obedience then is a joy! I am able to structure my life better with the knowledge I have gained and the rest it allows even when I am busiest (which is most of the time as I am caring fir my disabled 30 year old adopted son who is medically complex and now on TPN, but with major surgery recently, the two and one-half year journey with TPN will End soon, and we can focus on the less critical issues which are many. He listened to your messages with me, too. Thank you so much!

Review. Pastor Jack-God Bless your Ministry, self and family. I l watch you on UTUBE and have told family and friends to tune in also. What can I say? I’ve learned so much from you teaching Gods Word. I love your jokes and silly tangents you go to too. 😊. No, you peach Bible from Creation to Revelation, my local Pastor won’t preach Revelation, I won’t go any further. But you have Gods boldness and courage to “Call a spade a spade ♠️, as my Dad used to say. So PRAISE GOD🙌🏼!! I also have your app, and I love Pastor Amir - yup he’s a Pastor for me. I could go on and on, “GOD ONLY KNOWS🎵”. I’ve recommitted myself to my Spiritual walk with our LORD,Lord and head to the Holy Spirit. I’m 71, been a Believer 45y. But not as deep as I am since I started watching you Preach. 🙏🙌🏼

Meh. I love the selection and variety of podcasts and that it doesn’t take up a lot of storage space, but I think it should be easier a) to discover the lesser known podcasts within a category and b) download episodes for offline listening. As for B- the actual downloading isn’t the issue, but for some reason it isn’t always available once I go offline. This tends to happen more if I either c) pause a podcast while offline (as in it will be playing just fine but then won’t play due to it being offline when I attempt to resume playing) or d) download several episodes and attempt to listen to the next episode on the docket. As for d), I would like to be able to download a whole bunch of them to, go offline, and listen to them offline. In addition, I would like to be able to save an episode without downloading it. Now it’s quite possible that there’s a way to do all of the things I mentioned, but as there’s no FAQ or help center etc, I haven’t been able to figure out how to do that.

I have a suggestion.. I’m not big on listening to podcasts, but I do occasionally like to listen to a few. And I know that one of my friends listens to them ALL the time! Wether you fall asleep to podcasts, or you can only sit through a few minutes at a time, this is a great app for it. Every podcast you favorite is right there on a list. I think that you should be able to MAKE podcasts through this app too. It would be more convenient than having to download another app for it. I also think there should be a setting, that translates whatever they’re saying into any language. Most podcasts are in English, so it would be useful to have some kind of instant translator. (At least in Spanish and Chinese)

More intuitive and easy to use than Apple Podcasts. I have the paid subscription and have found it to be extremely reliable and easy to use. I simply add podcasts as Favorites and go to that tab everytime to easily access new and old episodes alike. If I want to listen without streaming data, I add it to add later to download. Otherwise, the favorites tab works VERY well. I can even customize the order the podcasts show up from there depending on which are truly my favorites at any given time. I have never been bothered with ads since getting the paid subscription. The only feature I might like to see in future is some AI in order to save snips and transcripts of podcasts. However, if it means compromising the user friendly aspect of this app, I would rather keep it as it is now. Great job!!

Updated* Last update needed a major fix, and they did it!. Update: while the bug in the update almost send me looking for a new podcast app, I waited and found the developer was quick to repair the glitch. Great podcast app I’ve used for years is back and as good as ever. Easy to find new apps consistent with my interests, easy to download for later, pickup right where you left off. Original (2 star). Not sure what happened with the recent updates… nothing will load, search, favorites, episodes, non of it. I’ve tried different wi-fi connections, turning off wi-fi, deleted app & reloaded it. Nothing seems to be fixing it. Sad, I’ve used this app daily for years…. So I’m very disappointed that it basically stopped working. Hope they can fix it soon.

Climate Change. People are (I am) hopeful. It’s important to be optimistic and grateful. Lands are being washed away. We are a proud people attached to our traditions. Others inspire me who work together for the better of humanity. I am grateful for my friends and family who have helped us to make this journey possible and I hope to continue doing this with them. The only way we could make this trip without having a problem is through our own personal journey with the people we love most. I’m sorry for all the pain that we have caused us and I know that we will always be grateful for the love we gave us and the happiness we have for our family. I am sure you will always offer love to all your families in this world as well as all your friends in your heart and soul and I know how much we appreciate it for all of your efforts in this world.

No muss no fuss!. I was so happy to find this app after a software update completely tanked the Apple podcast app a couple years ago…seemed like it assumed one to always have data and/or signal and feed off the cloud…the downloaded list would stop after each episode and have to be manually prompted to move on. This may have been fixed since but after finding this app I never bothered to look back. With this app one can easily download a goodie bag of episodes when data and signal is to be had, then the whole playlist will dutifully play and self-delete each episode as finished. I listen all day at work in places where there is no signal or Wi-Fi so this feature is essential. One complaint: when it needs to be updated it just behaves badly (pods stop playing randomly and often) and it would be so much better if it could tell you in the app that an update is needed instead of having to look it up on the App Store

The premium version COULD have been so great. To show how much i wanted to like this app, i will admit it is the only app I’ve ever paid for the premium version of. Ever. Unfortunately it didn’t work out well for me in the long run. For starters, what has irked me all along is that it won’t let users add episodes to “listen later” without downloading them to the user’s device. Unskilled developers can’t just implement a “bookmark” of some sort I guess? They force user to download everything to the user’s device (with minimal use, it’s well over a GB and won’t let the user clean them up!) Since this is an issue cited by multiple users, I always thought it would be addressed by one of the utterly massive amount of endless updates...but no matter how many of these faux “updates” they do they’v never ever fixed any problems I have, not a one. I have no other way to think at this point than to assume the app is just trying to gobble up my device’s space as fast as it can in any way possible. Don’t want to download 1-2 updates every WEEK? Well then the app will lag for literal minutes waiting for an episode to play. This app only gets worse and worse. Never once being improved by the fifty+ “updates” it’s had since I’ve installed it. Do better.

No in-app technical support. I love this app, and I use it to listen to all of my regular podcasts. It has a great variety of options for you to find completely for free. The ads are skippable and I really enjoy that as well, because they provide earnings to the creators without completely hindering the user experience. The only problem I've found is that there is absolutely no in-app technical support. A "help" or "FAQ" or even "contact us" is literally nowhere to be found. There is no settings section, which is what these would normally would fall under. I was going to report a bug to the developers, as I recently had an increasing number of playback errors when trying to play a podcast, and it seems that when one playback error occurs, every other podcast will also have a playback error for some time afterwards. It's not my internet connection or my cell signal, as everything else works fine. I don't know what the cause of this is, or if it's a server issue, but I was hoping to reach out directly to technical support instead of having to leave this under an app review. It would be helpful if developers could add in-app technical support to redirect user issues properly. (EDIT: the Podcast App team did follow up with me personally regarding my review, and although in-app customer support is still not yet available, it was nice to see that they were so responsive. They did add user accounts so they are working on improvements. I noticed that the playback errors were specific to only a few podcasts, and I think that may be due to the number of episodes they have, but I'm not sure, and it is still occasionally an issue. I thought there was sometimes a problem with my cell signal or wifi, but there will be a long period of time where I can't view old episodes of some pods, regardless of where I am.)

Great App, but,,,. It would be nice to be able to force Tag some episodes as ‘Played’ and have an ‘Unplayed’ selection button. There are many episodes where I have no interest in the subject and would prefer they don’t clutter my list. Also if you accidentally click on an episode that you have played it automatically sets it as unplayed in the list.

Stefan’s Podcast app. Hey Guys. Stefan here. I had started on this podcast app late last year and I just don’t know how to start it up again. But hopefully I’ll get to listen to some Bernie Segel and Chel Hamilton to help me feel calm and relaxed and back to feeling my best again.

Podcast review. Great app to listen to when you want to tune out of the radio. So many educational conversations with interesting and intelligent people.

Apart from episode 11 casefiles. Too much screaming, way too much much much. The case files are a selection of short mystery and murder stories. There should be a way to give feedback as there is much gratuity and repetition. In fact you can not contact the developer at all. Generally an excellent app.

Much easier than apple default podcast app. Found this app after becoming frustrated that apple podcast app kept restarting my podcasts when I’d resume one. Never had an issue now and makes it very easy to queue with the “listen later” feature.

Prefer this to the apple app. Good app! Can actually search episodes within a show, can’t do that on apple! Still wish there was a recently listened to and an add to queue feature but still prefer it to the apple podcast app

All of them. I really enjoy the information and also the banter between both hosts. I’ve a great love of history and believe these podcasts are a terrific way of getting others to love it too

Jono. This app is exceptional in that unlike other podcast apps I’ve tried this one presents the show tiles on the home page in a way that allows me to see 20 shows at once which is amazing when I have subscribed to so many shows and need to recall what channels I need to listen to. Also the listen later list is superb because I can add episodes easily, adjust what’s on the list and easily navigate to the top/bottom where my most recent episodes are added.

Only one piece of criticism. Only one piece of criticism, I wish when you paused a podcast it wouldn’t quit the app so fast. I have to continually pause podcasts and when I do I usually have to leave my phone unlocked so the app doesn’t exit playback. Apart from that it’s great 👍🏻 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

At Your Fingertip’s. A great selection of podcast in an easy access format and with a non intrusive and informative funding platform so you can access your faves and enjoy them without interruption

So much better than Apple podcasts. Really simple to find the podcasts you want, download them to listen offline later and see new episodes.

Podcast. What a rip off why are you charging to listen to podcasts I’ve never listened to them and never will

Late night live. One of the consistently great programs which is available when I can listen. Philip and his guests give us much food for thought. Thank God for the ABC and this fantastic app.

Best app for long road trips. Love listening to the Podcast App as we travel great distances on camping trips in the Australian outback. The topic variety is great and we download at home then play podcasts offline. Updates always seem to improve playability and searching.

Irish History in brief. Each episode of This Week in Irish History is easy to listen to while packed with information. I look forward to more of the history that formed my family background. From Australia, great summary history thank you Finn.

No downloads?. Great app, beautiful design. But I must say I had to download all the podcasts twice - why? Once I check the ‘+’ button, it shows ‘downloading’ percentage. Once that is finished, it displays the number of minutes remaining on that podcast. So why do I need Mobile Data to play the podcast again? The podcast just becomes unavailable with mobile data switched off.

Great app but missing key piece. I love this app as an alternative to the Apple Podcasts stock app but I may have to switch back. The ability to cast the sound to a device is missing in this app, and as I usually play podcasts through my speakers this is super annoying to only be able to play it through my phone speakers.

🙄. Was just considering paying for subscription but the reviews made me think again. As well as the replies “give us your Apple user name and we’ll assist immediately!” Is the wrong answer. The right answer is that plus “ we”ll stop this from happening ever again”. We sent a probe to the sun. What is so hard about designing a podcast app that works? And ads between podcasts? You’re kidding!!

Great app overall but too buggy to go premium. Love this app but I will say, if you’re asking people to pay for a premium version then it’s not a good look when the FREE version has bugs and crashes often... Particularly I’ve noticed when launching the app it often gets stuck on the blue splash screen - easily 20-30% of the time I open it, on an iPhone 8 But I do love it! Thank you for a great feature laden app :)

Superb podcast app. Really great app - I’m addicted to podcasts and these app seems to have the best feature set and ease of use. My favourite aspect is that it downloads the whole podcast episode when you start playing, which is great when driving through the country with spotty reception. One small request please developers - please add a 1.75x speed!

Beats the pants off Apple. I used to find Apple’s podcast app really confusing and un-intuitive to use so I went looking for another option, tried a couple before finding this one which is simply perfect the way a podcast app should be, simple, clear and easy.

Bannon’s War Room. Compelling, brilliant and completely engrossing. Best source of information on the current state of US politics, the Pandemic, cancel culture and lots more. This podcast has incredible guest speakers. Bannon and his team leave any opposition in their wake.

Better than the radio. I love that I can change my podcasts like I change my moods. Two Ts in a pod and come thru queens are my absolute favs:)

James Smith. I have just finished listening to all 19 episodes of James Smiths podcasts.. what an absolute pleasure it was to have him on my daily walks with me while I recover!! James you are funny.🤣informative.🤔. interesting.😉humble 🌺and very refreshing too!! Hope to meet you one day!! 🙏👌

Fantastic app, but.... The minimalistic design and simple controls would make this by far the best podcast app out there, if not for 2 major flaws. The first of which is not being able to add in my own RSS feeds for podcasts that are not public. The Second is playback speed, this app does not include the ability to speed up or slow down your podcasts. Also I HATE ads, please developers can you add the ability to pay to get rid of them, I’d rather pay a few dollars for an ad free experience than put up with constant bombardment! If these issue were fixed this would be the perfect podcast app!

Great app... but one thing. I have been using this app for over a year now. Hoping it would bring in one feature (now I’m home all the time) I wish I could cast this to my google home. Please bring this in soon.

Awesome... & only one small issue. So far this app has all the podcasts I’ve ever wanted to listen to. The only problem is sometimes they won’t load or play & I have to turn my ph on & off to make that happen.

Pretty good app. This app is great for if you don’t want to pay to listen to podcasts and you’re into wholesome kids stories, intriguing drama, philosophical topics ,sleeping podcasts, etc.

One podcast app to rule them all …. It’s not often you find an app so excellent in its design, service and function that it outshines all the rest. I’ve listen more broadly and more often than at any other time since apps were first developed. The functionality alone is a joy. There’s not one podcast I’ve looked for, that I haven’t found here. Not only am I more well informed on the everyday but I’m delving into subjects and topics I haven’t had a chance to since school. Love it. Get it. Free up space and use just the one app for all your listening needs.

Filter option. Needs a date added filter option where you can play the first episode without having to scroll all the way to the bottom.

Still waiting. *Update* Was waiting on the update to allow notifications for specific podcasts rather than all. Was advertised as “coming soon” which has now disappeared. I emailed to follow up on this promise but no help. I’ve given up on waiting. Pretty disappointed as a paying customer to have these updates promised and never delivered. Love the app but I have one suggestion, I order my podcasts into categories and it would be great if you could make a option to categorize your saved podcasts. Even being able to separate them with headings in between the rows would be great.

Paid but still get the ads. I paid the $40 odd dollars to subscribe yet I still get annoying advertising inside the app. That’s the first frustration but it gets worse; if for some reason you try to load the app when you’re out of range of a cell network then you can’t use this app. I’ll be looking for a better option toward the end of this current subscription

Adds. Be careful subscribing. I thought I would try the seven day free trial to see if paying would cut out the adds. My money was taken straight away, there was no free trial at all, and even though I have paid the adds at the start and during the podcast are still played. Emailed and was told to take it up with apple for a refund which is what I have proceeded to do.

Can’t use Apple podcast ( mmm). Since 14.6 update .. being an avid podcast listener .. how baffled was I , when using Apple podcast app my battery did quickly die. Then this app comes on the scene .. with paid subscription .. mmm . No thanks .. Apple has a duty to fix their free podcast app .. it causes my iPhone 12 Pro Max battery to lose 10 percent battery charge every 20 minutes . No I won’t buy this app .

Needs work.. It’s good but the only thing that annoys me is that when the episodes are finished they delete themselves, then you have to redownload them. Instead they should just be at the end of the episode when they’re finished so you don’t have to redownload them. Apart from that it’s a better podcast app than iTunes.

Problem fixed, developers very helpful! What happened 😱. So glad to have this app workings well again, it is my first go to for podcasts. Thank you to the developers for getting back to me and fixing the problem 👍🏼😊 It was working great, now won’t load any podcasts. iPhone 11. Just sits there spinning. Nothing comes up. Have deleted the app and downloaded again still the same problem 😳 Can’t even open the app support.

Underwhelming podcast app. Can I view older episodes of podcasts? No. What exactly can I do with this app? Oh, I know, I should get the premium subscription to use an app, that stores all my data on my phone and doesn’t require any cloud infrastructure to run. Yep, I should really pay a monthly or yearly subscription for a really underwhelming podcast app. I don’t care about history, I just want an easy to use podcast app, happy to pay for it, that will allow me to pull down older episodes from my fav podcasts that I missed listening to months ago. I also don’t need ads and reminders to buy the premium edition constantly. Wow... I question the legitimacy of all those 5 star reviews.

Sync podcasts across devices.. It would be great to have the ability to sync podcasts across devices. I listen on my phone and my iPad and want to be able to pick up from where I left off.

Rich Roll Podcast. Listened to Rich Roll’s book Finding Ultra back in the day (highly recommend) on Audible. Now would find it hard to live without his podcasts in my life, learnt so much and Rich gets the best out of his guests, which are, or end up being his friends. George - Australia

Not very user friendly. I love using this app but feel like it would be nice to have the option on the app to more easily get to the last listened to podcast from each “show”. I find that every time i go back into the app i need to search for the show i want to go back to which is fine, but then i have to scroll and scroll to find the last episode I listened to

It works!. It just works. Does everything you needed to do, including jumping to the first episode in a long scrolling list of podcast episodes.

Drive with Georgie Gardner. What a fabulous interview with Julia Gillard on the new Drive series with Georgie Gardner! I feel like I learnt more about our former PM in 45 minutes than I did during her entire term. Brilliant interviewing by Georgie... looking forward to the next one on this series!

Finally a playlist that works. The ONLY podcast player on iPhone that I can find that has a playlist that allows me to choose the order I listen to episodes. Finally. Thank you

It’s a great app, but the ads cripple it. There is no doubt that it’s a much better app than Apple Podcasts but I’m uninstalling it today because of the way of forces ads. Every time you click something, boom watch another ad.. it also lags and hangs in the car which I’ve now figured out that it’s waiting for you to watch an ad before playing another podcast, which you can’t do whilst driving. So whilst I would consider paying the $70 they want a year for it, the ads have left a very disappointing taste in my mouth so I’m out

What happened?. I used to love this app to listen to my many podcasts. However in the recent months in order for my app to even open I have to reload 6, 7, 8 times and sometimes that still doesn’t work. Everything has slowed down and when I finally get a podcast to stream it often shuts down and exits the app and I have to start all over. What happened to this once reliable, fabulous app?

Donald was due.. Love the show. If I could vote in the US I would of voted for trump even though he’s a spoilt pig of a man who always thought the world revolved around him and now it kind of does. I blame the 2016 political climate. Something needed to change. I think he has a chance in 2020. Come on USA. Can’t you find a decent human to run.

Update has broken the My Podcast section. Been using the app for years, however the latest update has left it unusable for me as I am not able access my podcasts. Most disappointed. 😞

No happy about the ads on paid version. I recently purchased the paid version as I really enjoyed the app and use it daily. I purchased the paid version to get away from ads and now I don’t have any pop up ads which is great. however I get one that talks in between podcasts and you can’t turn off or skip, you have to listen to it through to the end about a free course or something. It’s so frustrating. I think I may prefer the free version with the bugs and the pop up ads that I can X out of rather than having to listen to that ad again. Not happy Jan. Other than that the app is great.

Great app. I’ve been using this app for years and it has always been reliable. Very happy with it and appreciate the regular updates!

Screen stays on indefinitely. Not happy. iPhone users are used to walking away from their iPhone knowing the screen will sleep and lock after 5 seconds or whatever you set it at. This app overrides this and stays on. Has happened at least two times now. I’m human and forget so I don’t manually lock my phone. Uninstalling and using a different app.

Did not want to purchase - no customer service. I did not want to purchase the app I didn’t even use the free trial. Life got busy and I forgot to cancel which for many other apps was no problem after contacting them. Podcast App just ignores my emails so now I paid 45$ for an app I don’t want!!

Great app. Very user friendly. Only gripe I have is the car play compatibility. It is very buggy and does not properly allow for the resuming of individual podcast listening.

Podcasts can be so ridiculously boring. Not my thing, I can do sooo much more with my time then listen to something like this and this goes for many categories that I have interest in. Not for me

Misleading. This app appears to be a free download but after going through the “create new account “ process it offers 7 days free but “cancel any time.” Any app that plays that game gets deleted off my phone.

Podcast App. This is a great app! Who doesn’t like free and great together.

Downhill. Ads are insanely aggressive now. Just keeps getting worse.

Not much of an exciting line up in any of these lists!. Very one sided! Get more broader scope of topics! More art and music! Paid but not really happy with it! Angela

Garbage. Ridiculous full screen ads and an insane annual subscription price. Uninstalled.

What a bait. Don’t bother. Downloaded the app. Not free at all. Basks in pubs of all kind and way too expensive with a subscription. Try to make a name for yourself this way?? Sorry your app resided 5 seconds on my phone. No time to lose with… losers.

Used to be great now it sucks. I don’t mind the new layout but I can’t play Pokémon go while playing any podcasts! It makes my game say there’s no gps. Doesn’t happen with the music app or any other app. Please fix!!!!

Nice app but 12.99 per year for upgrade is too expensive !. I like the app but adds are really annoying. To remove this adds the only option is to pay 12.99 per year for pro upgrade. I usually upgrade all my apps this your pricing is a way too expensive !!!!

Great app. Amazing app. Everything about the app is just amazing

Still has ads even after paying. I paid 50$ and yet still get constant ads throughout every podcast I listen, how is that fair? What a disappointment…

No offline listening = No use to me. How do I download for offline listening? No time to research how to use your app. Deleted.

🎤 is down. Doesn’t open.

Very good. My favourite podcast app. No banned episodes that I’ve noticed, but if they do. I’m gone!!!!!

Reordering??. I had all my podcasts ordered most to least listened and now inexplicably they’ve been reordered least to most. I have to scroll thru 100 to get to my favourites! Please add a sort function - most listened, recently added, etc. I’d rather use another app than reorder everything again.

My present help!!. Thank you pastor Prince for following the Holy Spirit and bringing to the church the now word each and every time! I’ve been so blessed and helped in many situations with encouragement and truths since you first launched in Canada!! I thank God for leading me to your program all those years ago and have been so blessed by most of your books and a library of your teachings on cds!! Now with your pod casts, youtube channel I listen daily multiple times!! You are a blessing from Abba for these times. Thank you and God bless!!!

Too soon to ask. I just signed up and you want me to rate before I have a chance to try. Too soon.

Good👍. Takes a while to load. Listen to The Dollup.

First time rating this app. I love this app. I find all my favorite podcasts on it. I don’t know how to rate the individual podcast itself so that is the downside.

Tycby. Vghibh

The logic is for two stars. Hey, for starters I would like to say that this app says that one can watch/listen “for free”and I am not working, so that will be a challenge. Hopefully I can get/find the free Podcasts of Dr. Bryan Ardis, because he is newer to me and I enjoy listening to Dr. Bryan Ardis. If I can find out how I can use the free podcasts from this website, a 4-5 star review is eventually in order because this Dr Ardis deserves more than 60 minutes of my time. Anytime. Thanks 🙏

Unsubscribe. How do I unsubscribe from this?

The ads are intrusive.. The ads are intrusive.

App seems fine, lacking features. Can’t add my patreon url podcasts to the app without paying. Lol Cant go slower than 1x speed (a requirement for me personally) Unfortunately these two points put this behind the default free apple podcast app

Ads are horrible. The app seemed good for a while but lately the audio on the ads cuts out the podcast…. Not a very good feature.

Ads can be infuriating. Most of the time the app is perfect. I don’t mind ads, though the system they use is sometimes infuriating. I live in an area with little to no cell tower coverage, so I download my podcasts, and listen to some podcasts multiple times. So sometimes, when I press play on a podcast so that I can rewind it to the start, an ad kicks in and freezes (looking at you crypto.com and kraken) which prevents me from rewinding. Thus the podcast ends and removes itself from my downloaded podcasts. Fix these ads please. I’ll watch the ads, I just don’t want the ads to hijack the app indefinitely because the service is spotty.

Amazing. Life changing

An Appreciation. Hi Melissa - thank you so much for your wonderful Podcast series. I appreciate that someone young and talented like you is giving her time and energy to helping to inform and empower older people who are entering a phase of life with so many issues and problems that nobody is really interested in explaining to our generation. I’m definitely looking forward to signing up for the new Podcasts starting in September. Thank you again for your care and your courage in tackling difficult issues.

wtf happened.... after the last update? Favorites disappeared, app unresponsive etc etc Disaster! Switching to another app.

Nice search but lacks features and popups are annoying. I like how I can search episodes for a show but it’s lacking feature parity with Apple Podcasts. I like 1.25x speed and chapters. No support for chapters. Not sure if that’s a publisher or platform problem but I like chapters to easily skip through stuff. UI elements are hostile and interrupt you all the time to explain how to use the app, upsell you to a paid plan, notifications permission, and prompt you to rate the app before you even get to use it. If you need to explain your UI you’re doing it wrong. I want the features of Apple Podcasts plus search within a show’s episodes list. Not sure why this is a paid app on iOS when it doesn’t come with features people come to expect from the native podcasts app.

Freezes more often than I’d like. See title

Adds ruined my favorite app. The new adds on this app have completely ruined the experience playing sound over podcasts and pausing your podcast and forcing you to wait and have to click sometimes up to six times to get rid of the add so you can enjoy your podcast

Love this podcast!. The link was shared by a colleague and i am loving it! The content is great and well presented. If some days i am busy and miss it, I try to catch up over the weekend. Great work by the entire team!

Adds are ruining this app. Adds keep getting longer and harder to close. Looking for a better program.

Garbage. What a waste of time why even put it up as free if you gotta pay to even use the app in the first place.

Great. It’s free ads aren’t aggressive and they don’t pause or completely interrupt what your listening to they are only a picture ad that you can close as soon as it prompts the premium is a little expensive but it doesn’t limit you with free version I also want to add what was wrong firstly on iPhone 5s if you try to download more than 4 episodes at a time the app crashes and for some reason some episodes take 10 minutes to load to fix this I download the episode then turn internet off and it works maybe that’s my internets fault or it’s a bug also not sure if it’s the podcast host or the app but on Let’s not meet say you were listening to episode 10 the next episode is 14 it’s kinda weird... all being said I recommend

Michael Campbell. Michael is an excellent journalist and a person who genuinely cares about the welfare of his fellow man. He puts together a show that is interesting and informative as well as timely. He is courageous in the face of government authoritarianism.

Great app they want to ruin with AI. Apple's podcast app is garbage so I switched to this one and paid a subscription. Been happily using it ad-free for a few years and then this week they started advertising their "amazing" new feature to use AI to give you podcast digests. As if it's so important to me that I get all the news from these podcasts but I just don't have time! Thank God AI is here to save the day! If I keep seeing these trash popups on my subscription account I'm out.

Started out good. This has been my go to Podcatcher for a few years now, but it has only started going down hill, and previous complaints were fixed for a short time but have resorted back. The search bar is almost useless when looking for specific topics. It works fine when looking for a certain Pod or Show, but when just looking up a broad topic like “NBA” it will show me episodes and shows from years ago, and doesn’t give a filter or sort option. It has also stopped uploading episodes to podcasts that I listen to everyday. I love sports radio, and the ones I listen to upload everyday and I have to go over to Apple Podcasts because this app just doesn’t upload them anymore. Last episode they uploaded was from February. There’s also no refresh feature to get Podcasts that are uploaded on the day, so you just have to get lucky and hope the app does it on its own and uploads. I’ve waited a few hours for a show that uploads at 12pm everyday.

Not free. Falsely advertised

Easy to navigate.. I’ve enjoyed this app a great deal.

Ads. Get rid of ads.

Dear Shandy. Such a great podcast with insanely witty banter!Lots of genuine laughter! This is my absolute favourite podcast.

Cannot prevent streaming over data. I would happily pay for premium but first you should be able to prevent streaming over data. If you download and listen to a podcast it automatically starts streaming the next episode (over data if, say, you’re in the car) if you haven’t downloaded it yet.

Doc. It’s great!

???. either there is no way to download episodes, OR it automatically downloads episodes you add to the “listen later” playlist and there is no way to remove the download without removing the episode from the playlist. don’t have time to figure this out, layout sucks anyway byeeee

Do not get this app!they take $32 out your credit card without actually getting your permission!!. Disgusted. I realized by accident I had this subscripted and workout my permission since November when I downloaded this app and Never even used it!! I even deleted the app and still says I am subscribed til November ,,, I want a refund and can’t figure out where and how to do this , I didn’t give ya permission at all and never used it so why they u take $32 from me. Wow!!

Cheesy Trickery. Cheesy trickery used to coerce users into signing up for the paid subscription by making the opt out “x” almost invisible.

Really love but have questions. Since the end of Stitcher I’ve been freaking out as podcasts are my primary source of entertainment and news. This has been a great solution, and allows me to categorize via playlists. I have a couple of questions though: Is there a way to have the podcasts play continually? Kind of tricky to customize. Currently it stops after each podcast ends. Secondly, Is there a way to download latest episodes and delete any previous episodes? News podcasts are a good example of something I only want latest episodes. Beyond that, would definitely choose over Apple or Audible.

Not quite what I’m looking for. I listen to podcasts 10+ hours a day at work. Apple Podcasts just went weird on me last update so I’ve been shopping around for something new. I love how this one shows what’s new and makes it easy to download and arrange my favorite podcasts. The problem is I listen at 1.5 speed (started when I was behind on podcasts after getting back from vacation and got used to it) and everyone sounds like they’re auto-tuned on this app for some reason. Not a deal-breaker, but I’m going to keep trying new apps while keeping up with my favorite podcasts on this one.

Usually works great. I love this app because I decide what to download. I hated the traditional iTunes app because I like to listen to a lot of podcasts, but each new release would download on my phone and fill it up. With this app, I can listen to it on WiFi or data or download the ones I want to listen to offline. However, some time it just won’t play. I have some channels that won’t play at all anymore, and listening to a podcast is the only way to get it out of your downloads, so space on my phone is being taken up by podcasts that I can’t listen to, which is frustrating. Keep updating and fixing the bugs, because this is a great app!

Aren’t updates suppose to improve functionality?. It’s stinks when you regrettably (in hindsight) push the update button and find that an app you really liked and used all the time suddenly gets significantly worse. I went from a stable app to one that is slow, crashes for no reason, and switches to another podcast for no reason. In addition, one of my favorite features is gone - the ability to scroll through your recently listened to podcasts. They simply took that away. I guess I will be moving on and looking for another podcast app. I don’t want to since I have so many podcast favorites in this app, but if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. Note to developers: test, test, test before you update an app on multiple versions of a phone. This isn’t good for you or us.

Great app but.... I write this review with some reservations. I like the app and haven’t had any “real” issues with it, but...there are WAY too many ads in the app. Every time I touch the screen within the app an ad pops up. There’s are static ads on the main screen as well. It’s overwhelming particularly when driving and is rather unsafe navigating between podcast while driving. Please limit the ads OR make the purchase price a one time fee and not a never ending subscription. Also, is there a way to “log in” to an account with multiple devices to resume podcasts?

Disappointed. I love podcasts. I listen to them several times a week. I have even paid for this app. And I don’t pay for apps. Here is my problem. The app has constant loading issues. I’ve had to delete the app and reload it to make it work. Losing all my saved already listened too work. I am honestly at the point of deleting it all together even though I won’t get my money back and paying for a better podcast app. I have had this app for a couple years. And it just started becoming worse and worse. Help!

Not CarPlay Google maps friendly.. This is a very good app in normal use. However, it crashes when I use it with CarPlay and Google maps navigation in my Audi. After Google maps voices directions 2-3 times this app crashes every single time. Forcing me to close the app completely and open it again, then it works fine until a few more voice navigation alerts, then it crashes again. Frustrating! I am testing other podcast apps now to see if they work better with Google maps navigation voice alerts. Otherwise the app works great when not on navigation.

Great app, terrible adds. Why does a podcast app have audio ads that automatically play over the podcasts? It’s very annoying to press play and not be able to hear someone speaking because of the announcing sounds of a slot machine going off. Other than that this app is great, I can download and play apps on the go, I don’t accidentally skip to the beginning halfway through a 3 hour podcast while trying to change the volume on Bluetooth (which was a big issue with the default app), and I get notifications when a new episode gets released, overall it’s the best app I’ve used, but I wish I could pay a few bucks to remove the ads.

Only Podcast App I use. I’ve used this app for almost 2 years. The main reason I use it is because I am able to rewind 15/30 seconds if I happen to miss something. I know this sounds silly and you’re thinking but you can do that in any podcast ap. Not so. When I try listening to podcasts on the apple version in my car when I press the back button, or forward button it takes me to the last or next episode. (Not 30 seconds back in the conversation). This App does it right and rewinds exactly to where I want it. Thank you! I do wish it would work with my I-watch though, that’s why I’m going to give it a 4 instead of a five stars.

Disappointing Developers. I’ve been using this app for years and have reached the end of my rope with the developer’s endless greed. The ads they use make the app inoperable. Having to close and reopen the app 3 or 4 times before you can get your episode to play. I understand that developers need to make money too, but when you reach the point where your user cannot even enjoy your product you’re not only ruining their experience but also souring them toward the company you’re advertising for. I’ll be finding another app for my podcast needs.

Really enjoy Dax’s podcasts and guests. Dax is very bright, compassionate and quick thinking on his feet, and these qualities relax and comfort his guests which in turn enables them to be themselves and share their humanity. My only suggestion for Dax is to keep trying to improve his listening, and not turning each guest moment into how his experiences are often parallel to the guest. It’s a delicate balance, and I can see that Dax is working on his style, and he very much does induce a lot of sharing of thoughts and feelings by his very interesting and charming guests. Keep up the great work Dax (and Monica)!!!

Glitchy. Would otherwise be a good enough podcast app with a semi-ugly and visually busy user interface. BUT one star for killer glitches: sometimes it randomly decides an hourlong podcast is just like 6 or 7 minutes long, and just skips to the next one or tells you that podcast is fully “listened”. been. No way to listen to the rest of a podcast within this app, when it happens — you have to switch over to competing apps. Sometimes this app decides a podcast is shorter than it is, even giving the wrong minutes count, and cuts it off before the podcast ends. This it super exasperating and there seems to be no fix — not even restarting or reinstalling or updated. Fix this, engineers of this app!

You’ll Love This App If.... If you love glitchy apps and nothing but ads, then you’ve come to the right place. With this app you’ll have the pleasure of constantly having to close then re-open the app over and over just to listen to one podcast. AND, if you dare try to fast forward or rewind, you’ll have the pleasure of yet another pop-up ad that will or will not close. I get it -they need add revenue to provide this service for free, but the amount of ads is ridiculous. I have other free apps that don’t have nearly this amount So if you love (and I mean LOVE) being bombarded with non-stop ads where it’s practically impossible to locate the little “x”, then you’ve hit the jackpot with this app. Me, I personally don’t love any of these things so that’s why I’m deleting it.

Good app - why is premium a subscription?. This is a good podcast app and I’d love to support by purchasing the “ad free” version which I don’t have a problem with doing at the price but why is that a subscription? I need to pay the full price of the app every year to continue using it? I don’t understand that. Lots of apps have paid options to remove apps, this is the first I’ve encountered that removing ads is a yearly subscription. That aside this app works much better for me than the free Podcast app which frequently freezes. This app also present the podcasts in a visually please manner. Great app, but change the ad removal to permanent instead of having to essentially rebuy this app every year.

Could be perfect, but. The ads are impossible. I love the UI of this app. The design is so much better than any other podcast app I’ve used. But the full screen ads that take over control of the pod, and at times being completely unresponsive - it’s so frustrating. Stitcher is my next favorite app because the ads only take over half the screen so you can see and interact with the ads if you choose but still have control of the pod. My kingdom for a fully functioning podcast app. It shouldn’t be this hard. Update: downgraded to 2 stars because after purchasing an annual subscription at the promise of no ads, now there are no visual ads but I’m forced to listen to commercials that interrupt my podcasts and can’t be skipped through. What a jerk move, Podcast App.

Crashes Before I can Press Play. I initially loved this app. I do believe it’s the easiest to navigate, and it’s super simple to see which podcasts you’re subscribed to have new episodes you haven’t yet listened to. I also love that it provides a list of related podcasts, so it’s great for discovering hidden gems—that is, when or if it works. I started experiencing glitches where it would freeze, become extremely slow to navigate, and would randomly crash. I now can no longer use it. As it crashes before it can even completely open and load it’s contents. So at this point, it’s become completely useless. If you fixed whatever causes the app to crash (and this is when I close ALL other background apps, too!), then I would most definitely return and change my review to five stars. But as of. Is, it’s of no use to me and only takes up {the most of any app on my phone} storage—I’m keeping it “unloaded” because there were so many great apps i discovered that I want to retrieve the titles of. The app won’t even stay open long enough for me to screenshot the page with the podcasts I’m subscribed to.

Sponsored an AD with malware! Do not use!. This app give a pop up ad when you open the app. Usually now problem, annoying while driving because you actually have to physically tap on the close ad arrow and it is the size of a flea. Annoying, but acceptable, I understand their need for revenue. However, today the ad was entirely in Chinese. No English whatsoever to speak indicate how to close the ad. There was an arrow that looked like a close arrow on the ad. It was a spoof close arrow, when I tapped it it directed me to a website that immediately infected my phone with malware which subsequently gave me browser pop ups warning me of “21 viruses” on my phone in big red letters. If this app is going to allow advertisers that infect your phone this app should be removed from the App Store.

Not reliable or well organized. Unfortunately, this app crashes extremely often, takes a long time to load pretty often, and has some other glitches such as: every now and then, it will restart the podcast from the beginning while you are listening... or continue to play it in the background while you have paused it. In addition, when you view a podcast to see what is new, the number of new episodes resets as if you have clicked or listened to them. Finally, a good feature that is missing is to organize podcasts in folders by theme, rather than having a dump of all the podcasts which cannot be sorted. It would have been helpful to have the ones you listen to more frequently at the top.

Nice layout and basic operation. This right now is actually my preferred app to listen to podcasts. The layout is great and the interface is really easy to work with. The operation is basic and works well. The Listen To Later potion and sequencing is really nice. Some really great nice-to-haves in my opinion would be: 1. Syncing with the general Apple podcast. If I listen to a podcast using the podcast app, it doesn’t mark the podcast as listened to anywhere else. That makes it more difficult to keep track of things if I’m using other devices or computers to listen to podcasts. 2. The ability to integrate RSS feeds through a URL. I recently subscribed to a Patreon feed and can’t access it in this app. 3. The ability to mark favorite episodes within shows. I haven’t seen this anywhere else either, but once in a while there will be a podcast that I’ll want to hold onto for reference or simply listen to again and there really isn’t an option to do that easily. If these were available, I’d gladly pay the subscription price. Without at least the first two, it just doesn’t seem worth it to me.

Used to love this app. Now uninstalling. This used to be my go to app, but I am uninstalling it now. The main reason is because the app now has ads that start when you hit play on the podcast. The ad prevents the start of the podcast audio and you have to hit a tiny “X” to close it and start the podcast. The problem is I use this app while walking and when I get in the car and wait for an ad, then having to click a tiny X anytime i want to hear a podcast is moderately frustrating. I’m not against ads for free apps, totally get that. The app used to have ads appear everytime I started a podcast, the difference is now you have to click a tiny X to make it go away in order to start your podcast.

Angels and Awkening. This is the most amazing podcast. Julie Jancius is not only a great podcast provider but she is an amazing spiritual teacher. These pod casts are such an uplifting reminder about our loved ones, and the messages our loved ones can give us. I started listening to julie shortly after my husband’s death. During one of her guided meditations she took me to the most wonderful place in a garden with angels. It was my first time to actually go into a deep meditation and it made me want to learn more to heal. I have since joined her angel membership and have learned so much about myself and angels.

A J. Is always way ahead of MSM and other news outlets‼️. He has been vilified but people trust that he wants to tell the people the truth. MSM is owned by the extreme left. No truth to their reporting. They caused panic snd fear. If we were given the life saving drugs available instead of gov banning them and making people get experimental drugs 100’s of thousands of people wouldn’t be dead. We must go to alternative sources for real info today. So many people are too busy so they turn on CNN where you hear constant lies to turn us against each other.

Can’t get support. Wanted to ask a simple question so I go to the app for support. I don’t use the native Apple Mail app so when I click “Ask For Support” it just gives me a pop-up asking if I want to re-download that app. I don’t. So I go to look for a website to get the information I need. The website automatically opens the app. So I’m just in a loop and can’t get the support I need. This is very frustrating when you don’t have immediate access to a laptop. Please have a separate website that’s accessible on iPhone even if you have the app downloaded and please also list your support email clearly in case someone doesn’t use the native Apple Mail app.

Another App Ruined by an Update. Edit- This was a 5 Star review but the app no longer functions. When apple ruined it’s app with a crappy update I started using this one. I must’ve accidentally switched on automatic updates cause this got updated and it barley functions at this point. Even downloaded podcasts DO NOT LOAD. It’s already downloaded onto my phone and it won’t play. It’d be like downloading music then watching it load as if it’s streaming. Worked perfectly before the update. Before you could hit download, leave the app open in the background, and the podcasts would all be there ready to play. Now the podcasts don’t download and the app tricks you into thinking its been downloaded. You have to keep the app open and your screen on unlocked for it to at least appear to download. It’ll say it’s completed. Then when you hit play without WiFi it’ll start downloading all over again. I tried to bypass this glitch by downloading the podcast then turning off my WiFi and cell data to test it out. The podcast’ll play just fine. Then I’ll get in my car thinking it’s all good and hit play only for it to try and download all over again! There is no reason to have this app at this point.

My way. I was in Audi North Atlanta for a service. My manager is young about to get married. He was born in a dominant caste. I had Caste The Origin of Our Discontents. Before leaving I asked him if he had friends that were Black . Of course he said yes. I then asked if one or two were a little edgy, or you can’t get along, like you do with all of your friends. I then showed him the book, and he saw O ie Oprah’s Book Club logo. I plugged the podcast as I do well. Then I suggested he purchase the book, and learn ways to communicate with his Afro-American friends, if, if, he wants to feel free. I am new to podcast, but I feel it is a life line. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, You may let Isabel and Oprah that I do know Cast The Origin of Our Discontents, should be in a curriculum across the nation.. And would help anyway to see this. I am a retired substitute teacher, from Coachella Valley Unified School District, and reasonably knowledgeable if the process. Best Regards, Darryel Neal

1st time user. Found and downloaded the app on ios. I expect the adds, no big deal that they load fine, searched and found the program that brought me here and the menu wasn’t easy but finally got his page up and it won’t load any program. For 20 minutes it has said (hold on will start soon) (is taking longer than…)(we can’t play this episode, try again later)…for every episode but two and those two wont load at all!? I will go back to the way I usually listen and come back in a week or so. From other reviews, it was a great app at some time so from that I won’t rage quit but that is the only reason. I will also update my review at that future point.

Only works half the time. This app used to be a decent replacement for the Apple podcast app. But updates in the last year have made it very unstable. It only works about half the time for me. It often has to reload after backgrounding and episodes that I download on wifi almost always must re-download every time I open the app. Ads that play a video usually take over the audio, and stop the podcast (ya know, the only reason I’m using this app in the first place). Many podcasts have duplicate episodes in the list and are shown out of order. And a nice (not to mention easy) feature is missing: sorting the episodes in reverse so I can start a new show from the beginning. In short, this app continually puts out more bugs than it does fixes. But hey, so does Apple, so at least it’s on brand.

Best Podcast app. 5 stars for 2 reasons: 1 - I recently had an issue with some podcasts not updating with new episodes. I posted about that in an earlier review, the app team reached out for more information and resolved the problem quickly. 2 - While I was waiting for the problem to be resolved I tried a few other podcast apps, like Stitcher. None of them had all the features I was used to, like being able to manually rearrange my playlist in the order I wanted. This app is hands down the most intuitive and easiest to use.

“Buried Truths,” podcast by Hank Klibanoff, through WABE. I highly recommend that people listen to Season 1 of the podcasts entitled “Buried Truths.” This podcast gives some of Georgia’s history on violence and voting rights in 1948, (when I was 6 years old). This is an outstanding podcast (as is his Pulitzer Prize winning book, co-authored with Gene Roberts, entitled “The Race Beat: The Press, the Civil Rights Struggle, and the Awakening of a Nation”), by journalist, newspaper editor, author, and university professor, Hank Klibanoff. One never forgets cruel injustices and seeks to understand them if one is conscious and wants to know God, with depth. Season 2 podcasts of “Buried Truths” are coming in mid-February, 2019.

The Best. This is my second year going through the Bible. I am so grateful for the Bible Recap and the Podcast with Tara Leigh Cobble. This makes my reading so much more enjoyable and I understand my Bible so much better with the podcast and Tara Leigh’s commentary... thank you so much for putting this all together. On another note... I love the verse of the day too and the personal touch that has with a person explaining the verse. It’s a very personal touch and I love it!! Thank you so much fir all you do here to make this so much better for everyone!!

Private RSS Feed Doesn’t Work. Can’t add any of my Patreon feeds due to an internal service error. Contacted the app and they were not helpful. The first 3 emails were the same rep telling me to try things I’d already tried and stated I’d tried in my initial email to get past this. The 4th email was a link to error reporting after which they ghosted me. I sent 4 follow ups (not during the holidays but during the weeks surrounding them) and they ignored all of them. My last one was “waiting on my refund” after which they responded and directed me to contact apple. They did not fix my problem and that made the app pretty useless for me. Shame, it’s a really pretty app and I think I would’ve gotten a lot out of it had the main reason I subscribed not been a dumpster fire.

Horrible Ads EVEN PREMIUM USERS. PRO-TIP, use the app the CONTROL CENTER WIDGET as much as possible to reduce visual ads. I pay for “premium”. And there are full screen ads that pop up as soon as you go to the app to skip an audio ad, as soon as you go to go back a few seconds, and the ads load up first when you start the app. What a load of horse manure. Don’t bother with customer service. “They’ll get back to you” and tell you to log in. Meanwhile I am always logged in and it won’t let me purchase premium because i already have it, yet after theThird partyads it loads “PREMIUM… The Podcast App” full screen ads.

The First Degree. The First Degree is the best podcast I’ve ever listened to! I listen to podcasts when I get ready in the morning, in the car, sometimes at work, in the tanning bed LOL. Basically everywhere I go I’m listening to a podcast and the First Degree is the best one I’ve come across! I love that Jac, Alexis and Billy have such a great friendship and it’s very obvious they’re all there because they are truly fascinated and interested in true crime. I’ve listened to some episodes twice because I ran out of episodes and didn’t want to listen to another podcast! My Instagram handle is emilypfeiffer1

Great Retention Tool. This is a great addition to Duolingo, especially for those people who don't know somebody who can help them with their Spanish. The stories are interesting, and the narrator gives you just enough English to help you understand what's going on, while still making you work a little to figure out what's being said. I lived in Spain for 3 yrs back in the 70s and lost a lot of what I learned because I never used it after I left. I've found these podcasts to be a great way to help me retain what I've already learned, while exposing me to new words and sentences at the same time.

Wonderful stars!. Shannon Curtis and Jamie Hill give this podcast faithfully every week - I’m listening to their 1st Anniversary cast right now. They always have interesting things to say about all kinds of subjects. They’re musicians, and they do talk about music and their work with it - informatively. But they also get into relationships, philosophy, life stories, whatever. People who support them can also join their private Facebook group and talk freely about... anything they’re thinking about, including the podcast. We can suggest topics we’d like them to discuss - and they do! I look forward to the podcast every week, and I’m never disappointed.

Absolutely love this app, however it stutters for me sometimes.. This app would absolutely be five stars for me except for one big issue. Sometimes, I will be listening to an episode of my favorite podcast, and it will start stuttering/jumping back and forth and will not progress. It completely ruins it for me, and does not seem to solve itself with waiting/fast fowarding/etc. Otherwise, amazing app! So many podcasts, love that it alerts you of new episodes, allows you to select things to listen to later.. great!! Hopefully there is a solution to the stuttering problem though.

Great but has a few bugs. If this app worked 100% of the time it would be 5 stars. When it’s working there’s no beating it, your fav podcasts available anywhere anytime. It does this weird thing where it speeds up the voices sometimes making it impossible to listen to, also it just stops altogether for no apparent reason and no matter what it won’t start up again. It also stops and starts over and over or skips ahead, all so annoying if you’re out walking or running...who’s got time to stop every few minutes to fix the problem? Fix the bugs and you’ve got a 5 star app! I’d pay for this app if necessary but not with the current bugs.

Please make an ad-free paid version!. I have not found a way to contact you, nor any mention of paying for an ad-free upgrade. Apple’s podcast app became a dumpster fire with iOS 11. Your app is really good most of the time. It’s clean, smooth, and generally efficient. There’s a big but here though! When the full screen ads pop up unexpectedly, the app gets really clunky. It’s always at the most inopportune times. It’s those times that I get really frustrated at your lack of foresight in not offering a paid, ad-free version. I get really close to deleting the app each time it happens. I really don’t want to have to do that. Once a paid, ad free version is available, and you are more transparent in communication, you’ll probably get five stars.

Looking for a great podcast app. This isn't it yet.. I'm looking for a podcast app I can settle on after lots of disappointments in the past. This one has a lot of good but has some serious flaws too. For one, some podcasts I listen to are just missinf, sadly. The podcast organization doesn't have many options. Can't organize by tiles, or change order easily, or mark podcasts as listened to. Lastly, this may seem like a small gripe, but it is honestly really annoying. They have their ads set to not respond to be closed for like 15 seconds. They show the x you can use to close it, but it doesn't work for way too long. I expect that crap out of stupid free to play games but not from a podcast app. Show ads, just let them be closed.

Peronist garbage. This app gladly monetizes far right fascism. They market themselves as being an app for self improvement, enlightenment, and education. Yet they run ads on disgusting, hateful, racist episodes. How do you think George Floyd’s mother feels when she searches her son’s name and finds “TOP FIVE LIES surrounding GEORGE FLOYD’s DEATH” ? Only a truly spineless company would build itself around this content. Anyone who works here is responsible for the crumbling of democracy, for the persecution of queer people, and for the loss of abortion rights. Not surprising this app is coming out of Argentina where fascism has long been destroying the country. I cancelled my premium when I found out how bad it was. I thought this app was better. When I first joined their whole thing was an app for betterment. There goes 20k minutes of listening history.

American Warrior Society. As an ER Physician, who also teaches Tactical Emergency Medicine, I’m always looking to expand my knowledge of Tactics, Medicine, Firearms and Ballistics. I consistently find the AWS Podcast, cutting edge. Rich Brown gives good insight to daily events, this is coupled with Mike’s incredible background. Their guest, Jack Carr, is highly respected as a Warrior from SEAL friends, that I respect. I’ve heard Mr. Carr interviewed before but Mike touches on aspects that, no one else seems to have touched. For me, Evil walks among Us, Everyday, Always there, Always Learning, Adapting, Never Tiring. Evil savors Weapons both Inanimate as well as Living. Studying the effects of these Mechanism on the human body is Fascinating!

Encouragement for all. Hi Joel: saw in a HOPE Bible ( put out by you and your wife) that your Blessing from God is as an Encourager. And, I might add, a really inspiring pastor and speaker. This specific Bible was given to me in 2016. On occasion I have read some in it. i have been taking a 10 week study on Revelation. I found it heavy to read and somewhat hard to comprehend. I picked up my HOPE Bible hoping in might offer some clarity that I was missing. I read Revelations in HOPE and feel that the way it is written and the various explanations and gentle overtone of expression made the book of Revelation much easier to grasp. Thank you and Victoria fo your reaching out to so many with Your Love for Jesus and God’s availability to any who asks. With gratitude for all your inspiring messages I have heard or read. Penny

Paid subscription. It's great, I really enjoy the UI. The badges on cast that released a new episode is super helpful. I haven't figured out a way to add podcast with exclusive urls so I haven't been able to completely jump off the Apple podcast app. Oh the yearly subscription fee is completely worth it but since I've renewed my subscription I've been getting visual ads when the app auto-plays the next podcast. Not a big deal but it should be stated. Edit: I was contacted pretty quickly after leaving this review, they are correcting the ad situation. Changed to five stars because of the excellent support addressing the issue with the ads.

The Best I've found, but not perfect. I really enjoy this podcast client. It's intuitive to use and saves your progress throughout an episode, something I cannot say for all apps. There are a few things that annoy me, however, which have made me resistant to purchasing the premium version or recommending the app. Firstly, for some reason my subscribed podcasts are rearranged randomly. I have no clue why this happens, but it is very frustrating. Additionally, the app ui sometimes freezes. Luckily due to needing very little input, this is rarely an issue. Finally, I'd like to see some more customization for the user, for instance the ability to alter intervals for skipping from the default. Thank you.

Inconsistent loading. Overall I like this app for its functionality and ease of use. 90% of the time that I listen to my favorite podcasts, it’s flawless playback and auto plays the next episode in a series. The other 10% of the time it will randomly get stuck in the “Loading” process of the next episode and that’s the end of playback for that podcast. I’ve waited for 10 minutes, while on WiFi even, and loading never completes. The workaround I’ve found is to switch to a completely different show, let playback begin, then switch back. Frustrating. Other than that one debilitating flaw however, great app.

Better than Apple Podcasts but still glitches. I switched to Podcast App from Apple podcasts because Apple podcasts would always skip or replay portions of podcasts over and over, which got old really fast. I loved the podcast app once I switched, but for the last several months, it doesn’t auto play new episodes like it used to for some reason. Now, once I finish an episode of a podcast, the next one doesn’t play on its own, and when I go to manually click “play”, it just loads forever and never plays. I have to close and reopen the app several times in order to play a new episode and it’s getting really annoying. I might have to find another app to switch to for podcasts now.

Way Better than the Ape App. This app is much easier to easier to use than the default one that comes with iPhones. I haven’t had any issues finding the podcasts I want to listen to and it crashes far less often. The only thing I would ask for is an add-free version and for the ability to organize your podcast list in different ways. Once you get to a list of ten or more it can be hard to find the podcast you’re looking for. I wish that the podcasts that had recently updated would automatically move to the top of the list.

Love this App. I’ve been listening to podcasts for years. Prior to finding this app I used Apple Podcast and typically love everything Apple touches until they changed the Podcasts and now lets just say it’s not user friendly for me and I’m pretty tech savvy. After constant frustrations I decided to search the App Store for another player and I found this one. Read a few reviews and decided to give it a try and I absolutely LOVE It! This app does everything I need/want it to do. Doesn’t crash like the Apple Podcast app. Easy to control what’s up next. Easy to search and has the past episodes

Laura Ingraham’s podcast—best on air!. The Laura Ingraham podcast is an outstanding class act! There is continuity between the podcast and The Ingraham Angle on Fox News which speaks to Ms. Ingraham’s integrity as a journalist and validates the authenticity of Fox News Network. I’ve come to appreciate the wit and candor of her sidekick, Raymond Arroyo, a lot more than I used to. Laura is a proud, patriotic American who brings wisdom and common sense conservatism to the airwaves. She has a style that’s all her own. I find myself laughing about issues that tend to infuriate me because of her sarcastic, light-hearted approach. That’s just good for the soul. I’m a huge fan who never misses an episode!
