By the way, App Store reviews are very helpful to us. If you think Fantastical is worthy, would you mind taking a moment to write a nice review? We'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks for using Fantastical! :)
Fantastic app except for one issue: I’ve noticed the app seems to be unable to load calendars added by any “managed profile” on your device. To clarify for Fantastical’s dev team, yes: the app has access to these calendars per the MDM profile. But the integration is terribly buggy, if not downright broken: my managed calendars only sporadically show up in the “Add a Calendar” list in the first place. And even when I do manage to add ‘em, syncing and other various interactions cause the app’s UI to lag, if not crash. I haven’t tested this recently, so maybe it’s been fixed. But I loved (and paid for) Fantastical, so its a shame not to be able to use it!
My app consistently has a massive issue with updating times of notifications. If I switch it from AM to PM and or change the actual time it doesn’t update on the first 3-4 tries. This gets so annoying and frustrating when I am on the go and need the app to actually be responsive and aid in my productivity.
My favorite calendar app yet. I just wish they would add more views. 😔
Please add CarPlay support.
How do I prevent Fantastical on Mac and iPhone and iCloud from creating duplicates? I checked support but there is no article or link to ask for help. A lot of money to find no one there when I need it. That’s where the one star went, no real support.
Have reviewed a previous version of this app before, but a recent update caused a new and bigger problem. My individually scheduled items (not the recurring ones, but one-time entries) in the past disappeared when I accepted the updated version. This is a huge problem, because I regularly need to look back at previous client appointments when booking new appointments. Why would they think this is acceptable? At the very least, you should be warned in advance. Awful.
I moved to this Calendar from using the Google Calendar. Fantastical 2 is definitely faster thus more efficient, but they need to offer the ability to personalize it with color coding events, like the Google Calendar. I would also appreciate the ability to input the location of events so that it syncs with my navigation system. I’m new to this calendar app, so hopefully these features are available and I just don’t know how to fully take advantage of it yet. Overall, so far this is the best Calendar app I’ve seen!
Fantastical 2 is my go-to app for creating appointments and reminders and for looking them up. It understands natural language much better than Siri.
Short learning curve. Especially like list of upcoming events.
Please add support for location based weather and shared calendar updates from other users.
Please make option for allowing photos to be attached to a calendar event. This option would be very useful for certain events and for people that require things for work.
I’ve been a Fantastical user and fan for a couple of years. Its ease of use and stability in my view make it the best available.
I love the iOS and Mac app, but the Watch has had the same bug for quite a while where I can’t add a event or reminder using the Watch. I click add event, dictate, speak what I want to add and after clicking done it just constantly loads and never finishes
Love the app and have been using it for years. Trust it and doesn’t let you down. Having stumbled across other Calendar apps such as Timepage and My Calendar (Pod) a true black theme and update of the UI would be welcomed.
Highly recommend fantastical. Easy to navigate and supports multiple calendars across many different calendar apps . Only reason for four stars is one purchase does not give multiple platform access, had to but for phone and Mac
Edit: seems like the dev has pretty much abandoned this app. No major features released, just “bug fixes” every now and then and support in the ratings (which is just fixing 1 small thing and submitting the update and helping a few people with things so they can having good ratings to show they still support the app, which just encourages users to buy the app). App is pretty much just a cash grab now with not even implementing basic calendar features. Stick with calendars by Readdle if you want a better experience for a better price. Good calendar app but missing a few things that should be included for a $8 app. Dark theme needs to be full like the actual top calendar and settings Custom app icons would be a plus (different colour icons) Needs support for other browsers in open links in such as DuckDuckGo and Firefox focus Needs support for other map apps in open locations in such as google maps and HERE WeGo Small extended bar bug in settings sometimes when scrolling Should have support for adding multiple calendars from different services (gmail, outlook) this is a must!! Attach files/photos from iCloud Drive to event
This is hands down my favourite calendar app on iOS. It is a staple app that every iOS user must have.
I love this particular app as it’s the only one that I have found that will do a search for events that are older than a year. Search results go as far back to your very first entry. Thank you so much for that as it has made a HUGE difference to me 😀👍. I also am a big fan of calendar events and reminders all showing up in the same view. Worth every cent!
This is a good app. I’m using it happily, but... I was searching for a cross-platform replacement to Apple Calendar, across phone, iPad and Mac - so I’d expect a little more feature parity for the collective price tag, plus the odd extra nicety. We’re talking a collective price tag of AUD $103 for all thee apps, after all. Missing: - iCloud sync for app settings - Calendar Sets (an amazing feature on the Mac version) - Portrait week-view on iPhone (check out Calendar 5 by Readdle) - More view options, in general, to make it on parity with Google Calendar, Apple Other items: - Dark Mode is half a dark view. If I want ‘Dark’, I want all the interface to be darkened. As it stands, it’s half dark and kind of annoying - Creation of Calendars and Reminder Lists would be great. I also don’t see an option for Google Task integration.
I was not happy with iCal and tried several calendar app. I tried this app with initial hesitation due to paid for. However, I finally made to conclusion that this paid app is worth the money. I also bought the Mac version. So, now all of my apple devices practical synced with this app. Awesome! One feature need to be added, IMO, is direct link to Waze in relation to address. I hope it will be included soon.
This calendar is by far the best! I love it! The ONLY 2 things that I would change is to add a badge count for today and overdue combined. And, have the ability to create a reminder with a check box within the app instead of using Apple Reminders. Thanks!!
Love this app. Have used it for years now, but since the most recent iOS update there is a significant lag every time I open it up. Please fix.
I love this app. It does everything I need it to do. Glad I bought it.
First of all, I really really like this app. I love having my reminders and calendar in the same app and have everything sync with my Mac via iCloud. This app is the app Apple should have built by default, and does the little things much better! That being said there is one feature that is missing. In the reminders section, I wish I could prioritize my reminders somehow, instead of having them all in one unorganized list. As a busy student with lots of reminders constantly, I wish I could order them the way I wanted. To the developer, if you’re still reading, another feature that would be excellent would be the ability to somehow view the month view in a way similar to google calendar’s month view. That was the best feature about google calendar and was why I used it for years. I recently switched to this and like it a lot, but I do admit I miss that view a lot. Thanks for reading!
Doesn’t sink among my calendars. Voice use sketchy at best. Keep getting annoying ‘can’t send calendar invite’ messages across all my platforms.
I would love Not only See the appointments and reminders of the day. I would like to See also for the week or two. Otherwise I am using since V1 and I Love it. Great work
The MacOS version of the app has this wonderful feature by the way of Calendar Sets, which allows you to setup different calendar display combinations tied to your physics location - awesome for shutting off the day job when not at the office. Yet, the iOS version that runs on devices with actual GPS radios has been painfully lacking this feature. When last inquired months ago, I got a stock “we cannot discuss upcoming features” canned reply. Who knows if/when we’ll see it implemented, but when it does, I’ll be so stoked I’ll give it back its missing 5th star.
I am new to apple I am trying to setup my iPhone and apple series 4 watch. I am lost can someone please give me step by step instructions how to activate fantastical for both iPhone and watch.
When I delete the event it comes back about 10 seconds later. Must use Google calendar to delete calendar event.
A b&w pencil sketch of a smiley in a calendar page with FREE under it? Really?
Best for appointments
By the way, the release notes are very helpful for us. Next time you submit those you can try being more descriptive!
Got this app because it's widely stated to be the best calendar for Apple Watch. However, I'm not impressed. For me, the main problem with the stock calendar on the watch is that you can't edit events. It turns out you can't edit them using Fantastical either, so the main thing I bought it for does not function and in my opinion it is no better than the stock app in any way. No day-view on iPhone app, either, which is something that I like to have in a calendar app. Disappointed, especially considering the cost.
I like this app, but I wish there was a way to turn off the colloquial language detection if desired. I often will write an event in the calendar at a future date that says something like 'dinner with friends in evening' and then the app will change the date of the event to today.
So much better than the stock Apple app. I use this every day. Superb and for once this is actually TRUE! Great job
Much better than any other calendar I ever used on iOS.
A great app that doesn't eat your battery. This is one of my more useful apps. Highly recommend
Not only replaces the default calendar but extends it with a bevy of new features. Simply essential!
To be honest, this used to be a must-have app but since iOS 7 Apple's built-in calendar app does most of the same things with a cleaner user interface. The Fantastical is now woefully overpriced for something that offers little over the default app. A bad purchase choice in my opinion and I just (regretably) bought it!
While the phone app is excellent it is not ready for the Apple Watch. This us not acceptable and must be fixed forthwith.
