Where’s the calling feature?. 𝕏 has the ability to make encrypted calls to other users via 𝕏Chat, however, so far, this standalone version does not have that feature integrated. I’m left wondering why and when? Other than that, great functionality. I hope to see this take root and not turn into 𝕏TV. Looking forward to 𝕏Money next!

It's beautiful. I live in Russia and everything has been blocked by Roskomnadzor, viber, WhatsApp, telegram, twitter, discord and so on, thank you so much for releasing this chat, now I will have a place to chat with my girlfriend and friends.

Looking forward to becoming the American version of WeChat. The function is still very single, looking forward to the future function iteration.

Encrypted Chat. There is finally a need to end encrypted chat. XChat is fun, useful and full of features. Did I mention it’s encrypted?

SECURE / SAFE. I can’t believe how impressed I was with the natural feel and flow of the internals of the platform. Not sure why I am shocked anymore.

Perfect software. It is also very convenient to add people and communicate. I highly recommend it. It is much easier to use than WeChat.

Feels spammy and clunky. The whole of X is filled with bots and spam. Downloading this just made me feel like I am inviting spammers and scammers. It uses X account. I’m not going to force my family and friends to create X accounts now and purposely put them in danger because of scammers and spammers.

Unable to download. Please support older versions of iOS 16+. I and many other users can't download the app because it requires iOS 26+

Excellent. One of the best apps. The best. I use for my empire fleet operations it is much better than the other chat apps ! Nice

ehh. The app is a cool ideal however messages don’t necessarily reflect the same order in X app. Some message requests are hidden in xChat while in X they are regular and already accepted as chats. Some don’t load until you go into a conversation and come back to all threads (then the missing threads pop up). Too many bugs for an additional app when I can just open DMs on X app.

Truly Private and Free Chat Experience. XChat has become my go-to app for private conversations. What I appreciate most is the freedom to talk openly about sensitive and personal topics without feeling censored or judged. The end-to-end encryption and clean interface make me feel secure. In a world where many platforms heavily moderate or restrict discussions, XChat stands out by actually respecting user privacy and free speech. Highly recommended!

Finally a replacement for Messenger. I’m glad they added a separate app just for messaging.

Can't use it. Why do we need to use iOS 26? There are still many devices running on systems older than iOS 26, which doesn't make any sense. I hope the operations team can fix this

Not needed. This is app did not need to be created. Encryption with messages already occurs in the original app. That’s adds an unnecessary step forcing you out of the main app and into the message app to view your messages.

Nice. It's a pretty good start, but some features are missing. For example, there's no way to see if a contact is online, and a proxy is essential, since many countries are currently experiencing access issues.

Standalone messaging is nice!. I like being able to go into my X messages with a standalone app but would like to see more options like stickers, etc etc

Very disappointing. It’s even harder to use than chatting on X. 1.I don’t know if my friend is online or even if he has read my messages 2.I can’t make voice or video calls (oddly enough, the X app supports this feature） 3.The screenshot blocking function in chat often fails. Finally, I hope you can improve these shortcomings as soon as possible to make it more user-friendly.

At the moment, many users are experiencing difficulties logging in and using the app consistently. We kindly ask you to consider solutions that would help keep the platform accessible to a wider audience. Current suggestions: 1. Add built-in proxy support within the app (similar to features available in some popular messaging platforms). This would allow users to access XChat more reliably without constantly needing a VPN. 2. Improve the registration and login process for users in Russia, so that creating an account and signing in can be done without unnecessary barriers. 3. Add an automatic message translation feature. For example, if someone writes in English and the user is located in Russia, messages could be automatically translated into Russian. A feature like this, similar to what some messaging apps offer, would be extremely convenient and helpful for international communication. We understand that technical and legal matters may take time, but this issue is truly important for many users. We would greatly appreciate it if the XChat team could review this request and consider possible solutions. Thank you for your time, effort, and attention to your users. 🍀👋🏼

X chat. They made commercial this is would be the best encrypted message. So encrypted you can’t even log in🤣 I try to set up but this is app completely useless!!! You can’t even set up because don’t accept any password. Elon Musk is made useless X Chat. 😤

Features present in the X app version are not present and/or do not work. I want to like this app…. I will gladly update this review to 5 stars once the bare minimum is met. I was looking forward to this standalone app, but it is impossible to use when simple features like replying directly to a specific message or post does not work reliably. Adding reactions is also buggy and takes significant time for them to appear. It would also be cool to preview content without leaving the app as an alternative to fully tapping on the content and being sent to X. I’m now noticing areas where text and dates wrap on sent posts that include a quote… At this point I wish there was a dedicated bug report portal so that I could help out because these issues can be easily fixed.

The “X” link in bottom left is unnecessary for many users. For many users, there is no need to have a shortcut link to open a social media and start doomscrolling, on a Chat app. Not even Meta does this with WhatsApp. X Chat should give the Option to remove the bottom left permalink to open its social media app, and keep it OFFF by default. I bet creators would appreciate it, and they can enable it as needed. For now, this is giving bloatware vibes

Better than Messenger. Much better than Facebook messenger. Though it has some issues, chats often reappear after deleting / leaving. Still better than Facebook messenger tho

XChat tries to trick us?. This app had an amazing add when the whole world have difficulties to be in a free internet. There was a promise to be able to use app without personal data…but i have to link my X account to use it…where is my phone number or email…without it, u cannot login. Also there is missing features like video/voice messages or calls This app has potential, though now it is not able to be on the same level with Telegram, even not close it is. I do hope Elon is gonna make better and keep all his promises given about ALL PRIVACY … we really need it((((

Cheap work. There’s an XChat with the exact same name that has just 1 star… Billionaires don’t create new things — they just steal and copy, don’t they? 👎🏽 P.S. and Mr Grok will know everything about You and your chats… Do we know everything about Grok??

Great, but missing an archive feature. Hi! I love XChat and have been a user since the beta, loving it, but wish there was an archive section.

Fit. An app I'm looking forward to. I hope it can be more and more perfect. Now it obviously has basic functions. I look forward to updating it faster.

X accounts only?. If you guys want us to switch from Telegram or WhatsApp to XChat, you gotta add phone number login option…

𝕏 Chat. It’s easy to use I’d love if the time /day or date stamp was left with messages. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had heard we could send more then one attachment at a time, a disappointment the first time I tried it, limited to 1 like 𝕏 platform.

Anonymous?. The media was all over the place advertising the messenger as being completely anonymous and that you don't need to enter your phone number when registering. But you log in using an X account, which many people have linked to their phone number or personal email address!

Works Great But. Improvements are slow, Twitter Spaces is a great tool but they have so many glitches and we all wish they could put serious time into that part of the platform.

Whats the point?. Hurry download the new chat app it’s the most powerful all in one app ever. X depreciation of communities to push hundreds of thousands of users to download their newest gimmick. Don’t waste your data or time. If you have an X account use the chat area there. They are the exact same thing. Shame on Space X(parent) to xAI & X Corp for this low-ball marketing scheme.

System Issue. When I try to click on my friend's profile through the chat interface, the system doesn't redirect to x but instead jumps to the game platform on my phone. This still happens even after reinstalling.

Independent Account Creation (No X Required). If you could add the option to create an account separate from X. Login via Google account, email, phone, or something similar. Like Grok operates independently without relying on X, since I don’t have an X account.

“Please add new features to improve the user experience.”. “Could you please add a translation feature? Many apps already have it. Without it, it’s not very friendly for people who don’t speak foreign languages. This feature is very important to me. I really need it. Please consider updating it soon.”

Strange app. It can't replace Telegram if I can't even change my profile picture within the app. I don't use Twitter, so it seems useless to me.

Only chat app I trust for privacy.. Blockchain technology used to encrypt messages. Elon said he can’t see your messages even if he wanted to. I like to swipe left on messages to thumbs up them.

Defo has potential. Would love to use this, E2EE is goated and the design team is killing it… but none of my friends/family use X xChat being chained to a X account seems to be a limiting factor in some weird way? Idk Facebook, IG, WhatsApp and iMessage are where most people seem to hangout

No watchOS, visionOS, or macOS support. How are they going to release a messaging app and not even have it work on all basic platforms? Additionally, photos and videos are stripped of HDR, Live Photo, and compressed into oblivion. I’ll stick to iMessage.

无聊至极. Very boring, just pulled out the Twitter chat separately, but 90% of the Twitter chat is scams and scam ads, what's the point of such a chat? There is nothing ecological about it, and downloading it also takes up phone memory.
