Battlestation is all kinds of brilliant audio fun!!!. I hesitated getting this because I already have the groove box BAM that I also love ❤️ though, I’m not really a groovy tunes sort of user for the most part and rarely use it… however, this is significantly different… very well designed, so that someone like myself can easily get something going with still loads of possibilities to experiment endlessly. Brilliant! I’m also always amazed with how Brambos can fit so much functionality and visually appealing GUI into only 7.9MBs… and still also be completely universal, including macOS. Wow! 🤩 Highly recommended:)

Beautifully Simple and Fun. Offers exactly what it says on the tin. The UI is incredibly well thought out and I found myself really enjoying tweaking the sounds I was getting right away. Reminds me of the early soft synth days, especially Rebirth. Perfect layout for an iPad. Need to see if there’s any MIDI options, but honestly don’t mind if it’s just all kept in the app. This app is all about having fun while making music and it offers it in spades.

Amazing!. Stop thinking and just download it. Worth every penny. They got a lot of things right with this one.

Thoughts on the app. The three engines need independent step sequencers of their own. The random sounds just don’t sound that good, and trying to delete parts to make it good leave you with a note or two.

Love it. Absolutely love this groove box. Instant inspiration from fresh FM sound generators, with intuitively easy to reharmonize patterns. So cool. One ask would be to move the sends and fx to the bottom panel to give it more of a mixer feel and to have everything on screen at the same time.

Best groovebox ever. Unreal when used with external FX in AUM. After a decade of creative frustration with DAWs and apps, I’ve finally found Nirvana. Now convince someone to make the hardware version!

Opinionated 60 sec Groovebox FTW. World class design by a world class dev. Really enjoy the quickness of the approach and how there’s no menu diving. Plus lots of extra features for people who want to take it from standalone. One of Bram’s best.

Gold Standard. Of immediacy. Fire up that app, and within a few seconds, you are jamming. No menu diving. The ability to midi map to external controller if you want that tactile feel. The generative options are well implemented. At this price point, it’s a know brainer. Well done!

Instant joy. This is an antidote for social media. Noodle happiness in < 60 seconds. You don’t even need the manual to figure it out.

Bram is a god. It’s perfection. Just absolutely perfect, standalone, as an audio unit, whatever. It’s so perfect. It’s awesome for just opening up for a jam or getting some ideas together for something more. It’s like oracle cards for dance music

So easy, yet so deep. All fun!. Read the manual, it’s more of a quick start type read. It opens up a lot of little nuances you will be thankful for. Multi outs in Cubase, effects on separate channels. Using automation on the knobs in Battlestation, just out of this world. Using Battlestations mixer and Cubases mixer at the same time. Just total chaos and fun. It’s complete as is, but I really hope they expand on this by adding new stuff in the future.

Instant trance party in your iPad. Fun, instant, easy to use, limited controls are very well thought out, very hands on and generate some really cool creative ideas. One of the best groove box app I’ve tried, having a blast with it, highly recommend.

Insta buy. Everything by Bram Bos is an insta buy for me. This groovebox is nothing short of instant inspiration. Love the generative dials for creating riffs. Sounds great. It’s been on most of my tracks for the past six months, even if just to add some “icing on the cake”. Would love to see more groove boxes with Bram’s innovative take.
