Informative App. I get most of my news from the Click On Detroit app. I am able to stay up-to-date on all news. However, I cannot read new stories unless I am connected to WiFi. Can this be changed so if I am away from a trusted WiFi provider I can still read the news.

Margaret G. I watch 4 on TV and this is a great way to stay abreast of what’s going on. With the Covid 19 information from the governor, I know right when to watch her. When it’s other announcements I click to the app and read what’s going on. I really enjoy having “Click on 4” on my phone.

15 seconds to now 30 seconds!. Every video has a 15 second commercial. Not worth waiting. It's enough that the app is filled with advertising they feel they can waste all of your time with the video ads. Delete! I wrote this two years ago and now videos are 30 second commercials before seeing the actual clip! What a disappointing way to go. Now you get one star for wasting time and a delete again. Also stop with the fake reviews on here too! Very clear that they are paid for...

Blackouts. Every morning as I am watching from the App it will suddenly black out. I then have to close out the app and restart it about 4-5 times each morning.

Too many of the same commercials. When I watch the Channel 4 newscasts on the app, the commercials are repeated constantly. In a hour newscast in the morning, I see the same commercial several times sometimes consecutively. Sometimes I get so sick of it I have to stop watching.

My Go To App for News and Weather Reports. When traveling or at home, I am able to easily keep up with local and major national news by simply selecting “Click on Detroit” feed notices that list on my iPhone and iPad screen. Also, I go to the Weather 4-Caster app for easy to follow current and forecast weather when traveling — even internationally!

Detroit News. Very informative and news is updated and given within a short period of time

Click on Detroit. Up to date local and national news at your fingertips, that's what Click on Detroit Offers. When I have been on the go, I open up the app to catch me up on what's going on around Detroit.

Great Content. I grew up in Detroit and now live in New England. This is my ‘Go To’ app for keeping up on Detroit and Michigan. The app technology isn’t ‘sexy’, but the content and news is factual and accurate. Straight forward. Very little politics or ‘points of view’. Which is wonderful! The authors/journalists treat the readers like they are adults. Thank you for not being a typical news app and for not telling me what I need to think and to not think. Good work! (Now, go please fix the Detroit News and Freep app content!)

Broken app. Latest update broke the app can’t use it crashes after 10 seconds.

Live streaming is terrible. I use this app to live stream the news in the morning while I get ready for work. It used to work fine but in the last few months it’s gone downhill. It freezes often and I have to close and reopen the app only to have it freeze again. The stream often skips and today the audio stopped working. With all these problems and all the commercials I end up only seeing about 10% of the news. Of course the commercials air just fine. I will stream news from another channel from now on.

Great News Reporting Simply the best. Clicking on Detroit gives news most stations don’t up to the minute news reports accurately reporting events all over Michigan and Detroit reliable sources for your news information on local news media.

App crashes now after new update. Me and my wife use this app quite often. Today morning it kept on crashing on both of our phones. I came over to the App Store and realized there was an update couple of days ago. That update is triggering the issue. And looking at the recent reviews, we’re not only ones complaining. Please fix it.

Not much clickin for me. There are too many ads and videos often do not work. Recently another window opened and it was not full sized to my screen so I couldn’t read the entire story.

Save stories. You need to be able to save stories on this app. Would be helpful to be able to go back and review the story

STOP the adds. I love your app, but if I hear ONE MORE BASF add when I open the app, I’m deleting it! I don’t know or care who BASF is, or what they do. I just want the news! Ads before videos are one thing - I can control them by not opening the video link, but this stupid thing plays EVERY SINGLE TIME I open the app at all, and I’m done!

Needs a better search. I have rarely been able to search a story or find a link on this app. I’m pretty tech savvy for a old man but, you cannot just type a phrase into the search box and find a link. And that’s bad App is hard to negotiate if you don’t know exactly what section to look under

Review Fox 2. Loyal fan for years. Best morning show. Best journalists. With Fox 2, you get the “whole“ story. Dependable and accurate. One question, I have entered the Morning Mug Contest for years. What do I have to do to win a mug? I’ve entered for years without winning- ever. I think Ryan keeps taking them home - hoping we’ll forget about it as we wait the 6-8 weeks. Keep up the great work. Appreciate WDIV very much …. I appreciate WDIV very much. Proud Detroiter living in Hawaii and follow closely. Love that they are still located downtown. And they are involved in Detroit events and say nice things about Detroit. Have not forgotten many at WDIV were very supportive of my Emily Detroit Runs in the 1970’s-80’s. At the time I was so proud and honored to be featured in one of the WDIV Go for It! T-shirt commercials. And Emily’s Across the Street was the headquarters for getting a WDIV Go for It! shirt.

Good, but needs to delete audio on ads. Love the app, use it all the time, but with the recent updates, the audio that pops up for ads (specifically Delta Dental), is annoying. I always leave the app when it happens instead of continuing to read through news stories.

My favorite channel. I appreciate the news reports I get from , it’s always reliable. Especially the reports from Dr. George since the Covid-19 pandemic happened. I love the whole news team. Wdiv or Channel for has been my go to for decades.

Fix the notifications bug. I enjoy the app but I have an issue with the notifications. I will get a news alert and when I click on it, the app takes me to a general window about Click on Detroit instead of the article suggestion in the news alert. This happens all the time.

Search method. There needs to be: 1) a search method so an article can be found faster and easier. 2) there should be a quick link to give feedback to everyone that works at Local 4. I would really like to send compliments but I cannot find people. Example - Brandon R. has been doing an excellent job. I look forward to his noon program weather segments

Up to date news coverage,keeps me informed and on top of. Latest news happening around the state. .also weather is important as far as current conditions and future forecast. Latest version does not work!. I fire up the app then it crashes within 5 seconds. I hope someone sees this. Awefull. I was using my IPad, running iOS 12.4.5. Just updated (11 hours after my original posting) with iOS 12.4.6. The app now works. Not happy to have experienced this. Was this Apple’s fault or the app developer’s fault? Updated my Iphonex with iOS 13.4.1. App seems to work.

Great breaking news!. Best app in Detroit for breaking news from the best local TV station in town. Live video, including live streams of WDIV newscasts, plus timely, accurate push alerts for the latest local and national news. Local 4 prides itself on verifying news before publishing or going to air. Their standard of quality carries through to the app.

Loved the app. Long time user. The app has gone down hill these last few months. Yesterday it started crashing every time I tried to open it. Thought to myself, maybe I should check for an update and found that there was an update two days ago. Apparently someone tried to fix something and now it’s useless. Please fix soon. While you’re at it, get rid of that swipe left or right to move between articles. It’s too sensitive and every time I scroll through an article, it has to constantly refresh because it thought I meant to swipe to another story.

News at my fingertips. I am usually the first with family, neighbors and friends to provide the most current accurate news alerts! Love being informed with accurate information!

Click on Detroit App. This app frustrates the 🤬 out of me. When you’re reading an article, it constantly refreshes itself and “jumps” the page no matter where you’ve started reading. I’m going to delete this app after trying unsuccessfully to read information on the November 2018 General Elections.

Doesn’t work. I’m never able to watch live feed. And or video. Every time no matter the time of day. It says updated 1 minute ago. On every video under live. And when I go to click on it nothing happens. It’s mostly ads if anything. And I didn’t come here to watch ads. I came here to watch the news. If it’s just ads then the app is pointless and shouldn’t be in the App Store. Anyway nothing works in the video part.

Click on Detroit. Like this because no matter where I travel I can keep up with home news. Also like the live radar for weather checks where I am traveling to and from. Thanks fo being there

Video Play. I like the app, however I don’t like when I click on a story the video automatically plays. I would like to option to play the video as I am not always in areas where I can play the audio or where earbuds. Please fix!!!!

Constant loud advertisement stream. I can’t look at one story without an ad for Delta Dental blasting out in a constant loop. Watching a video in a story doesn’t stop it - the ad just blares over the story. I’m done with WDIV until they stop the insanity.

Click on Detroit. I get very frustrated to read & reread the same stories for days! Certainly more goes on in the Detroit area than what is reported daily, over & over. Deaths occur, but so do great things in the local neighborhoods! People love to hear good, uplifting news!

Watch Live. What is with the 12 ads before you can “Watch Live”? Really? One or maybe two, but 12!! Sorry but I’m not going to do it.

I don’t like this app in its present form!. I have not been happy with this app and have thought about deleting it. I hate the way I get a notification and then thinking I’ll read up on it or see a film clip only to have it give me the “We’ll be right back” this is a total waste of time! If this keeps happening, I will delete the app.

Good local information but…. You get good local information here however, it is one-sided and very liberal. You never get both sides of the story. When I read news, I like to hear facts, not opinions, and not an agenda of information that general media is trying to push.

Ugh. Latest update not loading

Force closes. I’ve been using this app daily and today it force closes for no reason. I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling it and that doesn’t work.

Comments?. The comments section hasn’t been loading for any article for a week or two. App is updated.

Pop up advertising. Decent site for keeping up with the local news. However, when I’m on the top stories menu there is annoying pop up advertising with audio makes this site less desirable. If it continues, I will delete the app; I don’t reward for bad behavior.

Online vrs live tv. It seems that on line is always not as up to date as live tv, also it’s keeps repetitive stories for awhile, so I can go to bed and have read the news and it’s hasn’t been updated as the network live.

Why change?. I’m really struggling with this updated app. Slower to load and MANY stories are not even there. On top of that, nothing new was posted all day Sunday, November 2. Let’s get it together!! Thank you, Nancy Nemeth

Problems?. I have no problems with push notifications on either app. Actually Ben Bailey is getting annoying with the alerts. 😛. But, we got iOS 14.1 out now and it has been 5 weeks since iOS 14 launch can we get some widgets from Local 4, pleasssse?

Keeps crashing!. Ever since I updated my iOS the app keeps crashing. My husband updated phone and his doesn’t crash. Although, he has an iPhone 6s Plus and I have an iPhone 11Pro. I didn’t really want to write a bad review, but when I click on app help, it takes me to a form where my options are to report a story, get help me Hank, etc. Firs thought need to address the crash problem, then you need to actually have a technical support option. I use to love this app.

Your basic liberal news outlet. While this app is a source for interesting local events, their news coverage is grossly bias. Even when there are outrageous things to report about with the current Gov. Whitmer administration, you will only find radio silence coming from Click on Detroit. They seem to have an obsession with Trump & the 2020 election and find a way to link that in most political articles with Republican candidates. Their coverage of all Democratic ballot proposals and candidates had the sheen of high gloss, while the Republican candidates had a flat matte finish:) It seems that they might be attempting to tidy up their reporting as of late, but I won’t get my hopes up.

Terrible. Last week I read articles from the week prior. Those articles were still there this week. Someone needs to start spell checking the articles. You guys are professionals.

Used to be good. Overall it is a good app. Lately, every time I read an article where BASF is the advertiser, and even sometimes on the main screen, the audio of the ad begins playing. That is so annoying. Time to change to one of the other tv stations.

My 'Go To' weather app. The Click on Detroit app is quick to come. Unfortunately, the radar is not as helpful on this latest version.

Useful and timely. I enjoy the news alerts. Frequently when I get an alert I'll check it out immediately...unless I'm driving or working. Keep up the good work Updated: Still a useful and worthwhile source of breaking news & weather.

WDIV. Love the app

Morning News Report. If WDIV had a Morning News Report from 8am to 10am , I would love to make Channel 4 the channel to watch

Respect Our State Governor. I’ve noticed that your male reporters are constantly inserting negative comments when reporting on Governor Whitmer’s various ways of protecting citizens from COVID-19. I see it as a disrespectful ploy against her leadership. In actuality the Governor stepped up when our federal government did not. The Governor looked out for all citizens. It’s time for you guys to show some respect.

Awful. The app repeatedly buffers and won’t open after being used only a few times. I have to delete it and reload in order to use. If I could give it less than one star I would. Very disappointing.

How can you call this news?. Info is so old it's ridiculous. Local sports news in Detroit is never updated at all. Where's the Tigers games scores? Lots of repeated stories in the same category. Does anyone edit this app at all? Don't get me started on the spelling!

Your news app is not working. I have found since your most recent update that when I open some stories they say content not available. Now it has not updated in over 2 days. It is stuck on Saturday. All my other apps are functional.

Improve. It need a better weather setting on here like the regular website like seven day forecast etc

Not fair and balanced. WDIV and Click on Detroit continues to not give fair and balanced reporting on current issues. I have watched it blatantly over the years become embarrassingly biased in the coverage of local, national and global events. And take a guess which groups, political parties the coverage is most favorable. Can’t we just get the facts?

Always Up-To-Date Situational Awarenesd. As a civil defense member of Michigan’s 100th Composite Squadron and U.S. Air Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol partner in FEMA Region 5, I depend on Click on Detroit’s up-to-date situational awareness.

Unable to move videos. The app is all good and well until you try to scroll down to read the article. Then the video becomes intrusive. And the only means of removing or stopping it is to switch to reader view. Otherwise, it’s an alright app.

Can't share stories. Wish there was a way to share stories other than copy and paste😒

Buggy & slow to load. The new app is buggy, moving from one story to the next is full of problems. Sometimes the screen goes black then the app closes, other times a different story loads. Never any problems with the previous version of the app.

So wrong. Scented 2 notices about getting big checks in the mail wanted to know if they were real or not no response what so ever

New update. Since the last bug fix I can't get the app to stay open for more than a few seconds, even after uninstalling and reinstalling

Simply the best. Click on Detroit every time alerts me before any other news app. Never fails to beat everyone else to the punch.

Live Feed. Great app, however, the new update with the live feed is very annoying. Having access to the live feed is cool but the auto play stops my music and other videos from playing.

Good way to stay informed on local news. Use it every day! I just wish the videos worked more reliably on my iPhone 6.

Most updated REAL NEWS ALERTS. Whomever posts these alerts is doing a phenomenal job & deserves an award or salary increase, especially with how dynamic things are changing with the CoVid-19 pandemic. Thank you!

Push notifications are useless. Literally every time I click on a push notification, it takes me to a page that seems like an ad. So then I click on "Notifucations" in the app and the story I'm looking for is never there. The search function doesn't work. The app is basically useless.

Greatest New’s cast!. I love channel 4 new’s I grew up watching it with my parent’s now my children watch it with me. Best new’s cast there is!!!

Help me Hank. On your television broadcast you say "Check on Help me Hank" however when I review the App on my phone I can never access the HMH page.

Broad overview. Great resource for quick access to local and world news!

Advertising. Never had the loud advertising on the App and no way to stop it Other then find another App with out the noise used to rate it 5 star now only 2 I understand money first but the adds keep playing and no way to stop. You lost a loyal user Just deleted the weather App same obnoxious advertising

Another crappy app. This app is junk. When you try to scroll if you place you finger on a add to scroll it forces you to open the add. I'm sure it's for add revenue for themselves since they are failing. Not to mention the biased liberal news coverage. It’s completely obvious they source all their news from CNN. Complete lies and misinformation. That’s why news is failing.

App is shutting down. Immediately after launch app shuts down.

Hate the pop ups. Used to be one if my fav go to apps...But the last update adds an annoying pop up every time you open the app. There are enough apps throughout, really no need to smack me in the face every time I open the app....May quit using it due to the annoyance factor alone.

Stop audio ads. Stop audio ads I can read the news and ads very well. It is very disruptive.

New auto stream is terrible. Deleted the app, the newest version starts streaming right away at the top. You get out of the app and the streaming goes to your Home Screen. I just want to read the news, I do not want streaming or video ads playing on start up.
