Is NOT accurate whatsoever. California just had a 6.4 magnitude earthquake followed by a 7.1 and it’s not even showing. I know dragged the scales on the magnitude and age gauges and they aren’t even showing on this app. I am very disappointed. I will stick to my Earthquake 3D from Dutchsinse on my pc, which was FREE by the way. It’s accuracy is on point. I feel dumb for paying for this garbage.

Missing a lot of data. Missing hundreds of earthquakes daily. Not sure what the source data is, but it’s vastly incomplete...and the app is 4 years old?

PERFECT!!!. Simple to understand and use. Awesome graphical interpretation of EQ events.

Connection Issues. This App was great, though for the last month or so it will not connect, stating connection issues. We have no internet issues and the only data that will connect it will connect to is the European UK, Data stream. So I have to give it a Thumbs down and we purchased this app.. to bad great idea, and it was very interesting and a lot of fun when it did work.. Fix it and I can give you a thumbs up. LOL of course unless something is going to explode and the higher-ups do not want us to know..

Stopped working with update. The app will not connect to the internet with some of the data sources selected. It was working fine until the update was installed.

Almost excellent. An elegant programming feat. Now if it just had the topographic view, labeled #3 on the PC version. Gives added value for the price.

Wow- by far the best earthquake app ever. Worth the money!! You will not be disappointed. The USGS changed their format recently and this-app required updating which was done immediately. It took iTunes over a week to approve the changes which resulted in some frustrated comments- the developer of the app was not to blame. If you want to know in real time what's happening around the globes tectonic plates- this is the best app👍👍👍

Junk!. Do NOT buy. Waste of money. Worse than free apps.

WORTH 1000 WORDS. Very nice app. I like being able to preset rotation speed, and flip through several views quickly seeing worldwide events at a glance. Waiting for alerts and hybrid geo-textured satellite views for another star.

Very nice!. Took me a while to figure out how to get globe spinning on its own again. Was trying to spin with finger on globe like google earth but in this app you touch and swipe above and to the side of the globe. It's written in the help section but I didn't notice it was for setting it in motion again. Anyway.... I like the app. One peeve... In settings, if you turn on the sound and close the app - the next time you open it the sound is off. All of your other settings haven't changed but the sound is reset to off. Incredibly annoying.

Disappointed with its limitations. Very limited compared to the Windows paid version. Infrequent updates, low-res maps even with a Retina display & only a few data feeds is very disappointing. Didn't expect it to have all of the Windows bells & whistles for $7, but it is closer in features to the free Windows version. Three stars only because it is still useful.

Finest Earthquake App Available. Very well executed, very flexible! UI ok, could use some help. But works great! Buy this app. Highly recommended. See what, when and where in a new dimension.

Fascinating!. This by far the most interesting earthquake app out there. The devs are on to something with this one. With a bit more refinement this will be a 5 star app, soon I hope.

Five Stars!. This is a great app. Love the globe graphics, the abilities of the app, everything. This biggest reason to buy the app was the response from the developer—in October, I assume from last year—to a critical, one-star reviewer. The response from the developer was gold!

Loving this app. If you like to track quakes, you will love this! It has tons of options and adjustable views.

Great but,. I really like this app a lot. For the price that we are paying for this couldn’t you make it save settings so that the next time I open the app it has saved my settings?

Very Disappointed. I am disappointed for a paid app. Not sure if it’s because I’m just not familiar with how to use the app or what, but they don’t even provide a link one how to use the features. The features they say the app has, I am not seeing them. I don’t see the volcano overlays, don’t see the option to import maps from other sources, can’t click on earthquake magnitudes to get details, etc. This was the whole point as to why I bought this app and I don’t have nearly half of the features I am supposed to have. Extremely disappointed.

Details. Detail no longer showing after update to iOS 6

Simply doesn’t work. Bought it a year ago after the Lombok quakes. As did my husband and another friend here. Theirs works fine. Mine won’t even open. Last year contacted developer and they were unable to help. Suggestion was a new phone. Got a new phone and it still doesn’t work. Very disappointed as it would be useful where I live.

Uh??? Needs work. App needs more options in settings. Very generic. Talk to USGS for more ideas. I will say one thing I like the pictures of earth and the disco colors. Awesome when ur at a party. Best of luck!!

Do not buy, Does not connect.. Edit- quick response promising update when Apple approves. USGS changed settings. 4 stars as long as update comes through. Worked for a week and then lost ability to connect with USGS. Even if this is a result of USGS changing things an update should fix this or money should be refunded.

Very cool but.... It would be better if there were more options to share (and good for app sales). The fist thing that comes to mind: Produce a gif of the time laps (view three) to post on Tumblr, Reddit, Twitter, etc.

Can’t set certain location. Only need for California, not the whole world.. Can not set for a certain area of the world. Graphics areygood.

Won’t Show Recent Quakes Correctly. I’m very dissapointed with this app. It doesn’t provide access to worldwide quake data, only 5 or six earthquake monitoring sites, with only the most basic of info., plus it’s now removing quakes that are 24 hrs old from its two day old monitor, meaning yesterday’s quakes aren’t even showing up unless I set the monitor to past 5 days! (And it keeps defaulting to ONE DAY old!

Not worth buying. Very basic. The 3D is nice, but you can't zoom in to a more regional level. I also have a hard time selecting the location where there has been an earthquake - when it works, it just links you to USGS to get the earthquake details. It feels like this is a work in progress. Not sure why it sells for $6.99 - i'll see if the Apple store will give me a refund. I don't recommend it.

Very cool app. MysticCub seems to have missed the whole point. This app is about the macro, not the micro. This is not google Earth. BTW, a one star review for an app with so much depth, detail, and wonderful innovation is the mark of a troll. IF YOU TOUCH ANY OF THE EARTHQUAKE FLAGS, a popup window with an option "MAP" will take you to the epicenter of the Earthquake on an actual google map with all the details you expect on a FLAT map. Also on the same options popup, you can select DETAILS which will often include a number of specialized seismic maps and information. VERY detailed. Another option on this popup that I like to use is the NEWS option which will quickly take you to Yahoo News for the latest wire-service news stories about larger Earthquakes. Very convenient.

Quit working. The data is not available to my app for the past week. It worked great for three to four weeks. Shows it is not connected to Internet or data not available try again later. Very frustrating.

Great app.. Graphics are vivid and present an incredibly clear image of seismic activity that is updated about once ever 2 minutes. The tools provided allows anyone without an education in seismology a very novel introduction into understanding what occurs during any seismic activity and further why it occurs. The knowledge base that the app doesn't cover is linked out to the best sites with in depth information that updates and as well as educates. For y own interests, I use this app about as much as I check email. What interests me is not just the large quakes but watchingthe continuum of seismic activity unfold around the globe. When there is anything significant there is also a news optional link that will take you to the page that covers the quake updates for that area. Again, to me, it is the best app of its kind and a lure to novelly educate even people that haven't previously had an interest in earthquake activity.

Errors and connection issues. Errors. So the past 4 days or so says there are connection issues or the source may be bad. I have no issues with the Internet and the sources of which there are 5 I believe are all working in tandem to give me data thru this app. Either fix this issue or refund me. There is nothing wrong on my need this app has worked flawlessly for a good 2 months now there is nothing!!!

Good. I like this app. As far as I know it’s the only one available for iOS with these features. I would however like to suggest that the date and time countdown remain on the top right hand corner instead of disappearing when I touch the screen to move around the globe to view the seismic events. It’s a bummer that when I touch the screen the date and time countdown disappears. Please fix!!!

Waste of Money Until Database is Updated. This app "looks" great but in fact, is pretty useless, as it is, because the data ends in 2011. Please update and this could easily be a five-star app!

WoW!. Even after looking at the screenshots from the developers I still was blown away by both the graphic display as well as by the configurability of this app. The only thing it doesn't have a dry, boring list of earthquakes...that you can get anywhere. You can display any date's earthquakes going back over 4000 years! The only thing missing when displaying historical quakes it would be of help to display the date that's currently selected and just have it fade out like the menus do with touch inactivity and an auto-updating quakes and an associated configurable setting for selections like every 20, 60 and 120 minutes.

It was cool...for a minute. I understand the usgs changed their feeds, that's why the app can't connect to the feed, but there is still no update in the App Store! Since this a paid app I'd think that they'd have been more on top of getting the update out. The creator said it was pending approval, but it's been way longer than he said. Now I'm left wondering how long is it going to be, and if they don't approve it soon are they going to give me my money back considering I was only able to use it for 3days before it lost the feed?! It's useless without the usgs feed.

Good idea horrible implementation. The concept is awesome but from pictures and description I was expecting something much closer to google earth as far as globe interaction. The globe is just a low rez image, you get NO detail if you zoom in. For a $7 app I'm beyond horribly disappointed. Overlaying the EQ data over an actual interactive map would have been worth the price, I will delete this app & ask for a refund. On the surface it's cool but after 45 seconds buyers remorse set in. Wish there was NEGATIVE stars to rate this app with.

Connection Issues. I bought this app just yesterday. It appeared to be updating just fine, yet 24 hours later, there is a major connection issue. EQ data from yesterday is not appearing any longer and most of today's activity is absent. I find this very disappointing considering I paid for this app. Something needs to be resolved. Buyer beware!

Absolutely phenominal. This is a really amazing app for earthquake monitoring, incredibly detailed views and so many different ways to watch the Earth in real time with interactive high quality vector views, wireframe, 3D models chowing depth, magnitude and much more. Woth every penny and more. The iPad and iPhone versions are incredible;.

Great. If you delete the old version on your ipad and do a clean install, it works great. Thanks for the fix. Best earthquake app:)

I wish it would do landscape. Portrait only seems such a shame, it would look fabulous in landscape. I wish zooming in revealed greater detail rather than pixelated images, but I'm hopeful an update at some point would take care of these two. Nice looking app though.

Getting there.... Very good at displaying basic info, needs more drill down functions for individual events. I would have given it a four if it would switch to landscape mode, very annoying...

Amazing Data. Following Dutchsinse for years, I was always disappointed that I couldn’t follow along on my Mac. This is truly the next best thing. There’s a detailed tutorial which is a great help in the first setup and a great FAQ for new users. Most importantly, I can choose my data feed. I would highly recommend this app. It is worth every penny.

Horrible. For some reason, this app hasn't been updated for 2012. It only shows earthquakes for 2011. Basically, I just wasted $6.99. Get this app up to date because right now I do NOT recommend this to anyone... I would give it 0 stars, but it won't let me

More Quake notifications on Facebook. I was disappointed in this! For $10.99, I was expecting so much more! I would view Dutchsinse's earthquake reports and have only a fraction of the earthquakes that seemed to appear on his version. I received more notifications through my Facebook feed from other services. It's a very fun app, but the notifications in my opinion are the most important part of it...to be informed before anyone else! Why doesn't it work as well for me?

Ok but not ok. Its a ok source of information all together and a good source of quick info. I’m guessing the USGS is it’s main feed and they don’t always post every earthquake. For example the 6.6 that happened off the south Easter cost of Cuba on 4/29/20 at 2:30 est

Very Nice. Eye-appealing and great for people like me that are very visual and do better with pictures and videos than text. There are so many options. Takes a few days to get the feel of how it all really works. So far I trust this app. UPDATE: 6/10/15 Waiting patiently for the next update to fix the USGS connection issues. Really hope it gets resolved.

Doesn't Work. Upgraded, doesn't work at a. No images, no data. What kind of a QA process do they have to let an application release out tat doesn't even work?

Broken, Useless Product. The app was pretty decent -- 3.5, perhaps 4 stars when it worked. I paid to also install it on my PC. Now that it no longer connects with the USGS, it is nearly useless. Aargh!

User. Great App. After learning about it watching Dutchsines on YouTube I'm learning and now checking trends myself.

Still learning. Saw this on Dutchsinse YouTube channel. I wish this version had his notification sound, that tolls the magnitude number. Other than that, a bit confusing as it seems to not keep my settings and you can only zoom in a little, but it is fun to keep at it and learn more. Currently this is not my go-to earthquake monitor, perhaps it will be later.
