Great. Seems more up to date than other reports I get. So simple, so easy.

Great App!. Really like this app. Have tried umpteen different apps but was always disappointed by something, that is, until I found Fire Finder.

Fire app. I think another feature you may want to consider adding is a smoke overlay/layer and a layer to show burned areas. Love this app though and we use it often because of where we live.

Not listed. I live in South West Oregon & there has been a large fire in Agnest, Oregon for a couple days & wanted to find specific information on this fire & nothing. So far, not impressed

No bueno. I have driven past active fires, and gotten texts from others first. This does not report much and if it does, it’s all over. Not what I want. I could read the newspaper for more timely notification.

Good fire finder. As a firefighter and frequent traveler it is a good way to keep up on ac I've fires in places where I travel so I can avoid congestion with emergency traffic

Awesome app!. I have been searching and searching to find an app that would show me fires. Just left Alaska where there were a lot of fires going on that I wanted to follow. This is the first app that I have found that gives detailed information on each one of the fires! Awesome job!

very pleased so far. I've only had this for a couple of days, but right now I am very pleased. I live in an area where you have to keep track during "fire season." and in a typical day I would visit several web sites to keep tabs. This app consolidates data from many of those sites all in one place, and has links back to the agency sites. Thank you for this - I love it!

Informative. This app has gotten better over the years. I like that it pulls information directly from websites like Inciweb. It would be even better if Canada were included.

Disappointed. 3 years ago, I found this to be informative. For the last year or so, with many fires with a last update 3 or more weeks ago. New fires are not shown for several days or more. Or not at all. Not much value to me.

Not nearly as accurate as I would have hoped. I live in Southeast TN and commute down I-75 to Northwest GA for work. For weeks I would pass by a large fire burning to the east a few hundred yards. When I checked the app, it had this fire burning several miles away to the west next to the wrong interstate. I wonder where the info comes from.

Not Up To Date. Not up to date whatsoever. My whole area is being evacuated for a fire that isn’t even on the map

Good App. I am from Redding Ca. But currently live in Sacramento, Ca. Area. This app has been a godsend to me during all the current and recent fires in California. I have been able to follow the progress of the fire. The info. Is updated daily, which has been very helpful. Great Apo. Thank you!

If you're too lazy to check Twitter. Seems to simply repost what you find in a Google search. There is far more info on Twitter and Facebook than in this app. Very disappointed.

Not reliable information. This app is not a reliable source of information. Maybe 30% accuracy around the Pacific Northwest. Some large fires haven’t shown up at all. While others only were shown after they were out. And when they are shown their details are not regularly updated. Hour by hitting would be nice. Day to day should be minimum. But a lot don’t get updated for weeks if at all. Maybe it’s a California app that only cares about California fires?

Not worth the money. It’s not worth the money. The app works like 5 year old app that should be free! If you just search it, you’ll get the same data with more details, free of charge!

Terrible. If you are going to boast about being “the best fire map” then be the best fire map. Fire season isn’t over and Oregon’s LARGEST fire is missing and it is a great impact on popular highways. Also notice this app is never updated in a timely manner even during peak fire season. Waste of money. Don’t depend on this app.

Where. Would be nice to have a search for location rather than futzing around scrolling on map with finger.

Could use road closure info too. So far so good. Road closure info would be very helpful along with evacuation status updates. 👍🏼

Not worth paying for... I live in an area where there are usually active fires. This app did not display the two I know were burning in my area. There is another free app that had the fires.

So helpful during Fire Season. I am a California Native and fire season can get pretty crazy here. We have to pay attention even when the fires aren’t close bye because of summer traveling. I used to bounce between 3-4 different websites and twitter just to figure out where all the active wildfires were. This was well worth the 99 cents to save me a lot of time.

When a fire is near ... it can get pretty nerve racking!. We really appreciate having an app that helps let us know how close and how contained the wild fires are to us. This summer there is one near us almost every few days :(

Well?? Totally out of date. Are you ever going to update this app?? It’s useless unless it’s a MASSIVE fire, which gets reported in news media better than this app.

Fire status. We have had fires active for more than a week, burned homes and towns. And they don’t show up until the fire is almost out. What good does that do?

Where’s the fire???. There is a major fire 20 miles away from my family’s home and this doesn’t show anything. This app isn’t keeping up with most of the fires in Colorado or surrounding areas.

Great app in my line of work. As a Yellowstone NP tour guide, it's really helpful to have information at hand. This app gives me a lot of info easily on the fires that visitors are concerned about. Thanks for job well done.

Fire starter!. I have used it for several weeks now and; Watched several fires close to me and no record mentioned been 24 hrs. I understand that the feed might take a while, ok. More interesting to me when it hits the news maybe it should be updated here. I live in Mentone Ca San Bernardino County, and fire services are federal, cal fire and county and city. Thank You

Nice App for fire info. App works nicely for seeing major fires. The only quibble I have is that I live in Minnesota and normally I want to see info on fires in Western Montana where many of my extended family live. When opened, the app always centers where the device is at and I have not found a way to set different location to start checking from.

Not kept up to date. Does not appear to be kept up to date, so what good is it?

Great planning tool. While the fires are devastating for local residents those of us who are driving through have the option to avoid fire area by rerouting. I always confer with this app during summer travel in the west. Fire is our future unfortunately. This app can keep you out of the smoke and heat astounding travel.

Great potential but needs work on updates. This app has an easy to use interface and has great potential. However, updates on fire incident information needs to be improved for this app to be really useful. There are several significant incidents near me that have not been updated for size and level of containment in a couple days. Hope the developer can make the fixes. Give me a good reliable app that I can use for important, timely safety decisions, I'll pay more than $0.99 for it. Best wishes.

Fire Finder Is Awesome. This is a great app that is very informative. I live in the West and fires are a huge concern for us every Summer. This app is updated daily and keeps you in the know. Much easier to understand than the official reports sent out by the Forest Service. I highly recommend this to all persons living near or in danger states or areas of concern.

Failed to list current fires in Oregon as of May 16th 2019. The only current fire listed is the fire in Alaska, they have failed to provide information about other fires in Oregon

Good display, not nearly enough selections. I like the maps. They let you know what’s happening and where. But there aren’t enough choices to focus on items or areas of interest. For examples, one cannot directly select by state or choose a distance around a city or the user’s own home or phone. Right now here in California, we have a smorgasbord of fires to choose from as topics. However, I would very much like to be able to get details between my home and San Jose so I can pick a route easily.

Errgh-. I am trying to find an app that will alert me to wildfires within a 50 mile radius of me. This is not that app. Can I get a refund on my purchase? Just got the app minutes ago and am already deleting it.

Misleading Tweet About App. The app developer got on Twitter and posted what appeared to be a screen cap of the app showing hot spots and a satellite view of smoke, and advertised the app using the hashtag of an ongoing wildfire to say getting the app would show more details. But using the app, it only shows one icon representing the fire, satellite view only shows the terrain, and images include 5 typical news images. This doesn’t help show even the information in the developers tweet. Misleading and shameful.

Worth 99 cents. Easy to use , covers progress on containment and app useable on my Iphone 6. The others aren't

Useless.. A fire started a mile from my house in the forest. Not a single mention of this fire. Homes were evacuated, still no mention of the fire.

Fair but slow on updates. Slow on updates New fires going in Oregon and it does not show them. They are on BLM land

USA only. The developers should really clearly disclose that it only shows fires in the US. Was duped in to buying it as a Canadian. Absolutely ridiculous

Slow to update. I am watching a fire happening right now on federal land, but no information on it - started yesterday??? A little slow to update to this app.

?????. Doesn't list all fires, we have 5 fires that have been burning for 12 hours and they are not listed. These are larger fires 1000+ acre.

Misses really major fires. Totally missed - for over a week - two major fires in Santa Rosa, CA area and another in Napa, CA area. Not a real app.

WKB. We are currently having the worst fire season ever recorded in this state (WA). I have found this app to be extremely helpful in keeping me informed as fire conditions change. I would highly recommend it - especially if you live in an area where wildfires are common..

Useless. Does not show fires anywhere near my area and developer does not seem to care. I paid my money and got nothing!

Garbage!!. Im literally sitting in Sonoma County right now surrounded by a 73 acre fire and this stupid app doesn't even have it listed, useless garbage, unreliable poor updates, trash app.

Awesome, reliable app!. I used to be a wildland firefighter so I am always interested in following fires out here in the west. Even more so now that they've become larger, more intense and much more dangerous. I use it not only to keep updated in my area, but I can also plan trips better with the info. Another important use that I always know what is happening with family and friends that live in fire prone areas. Info is fast and accurate and always up to date, what more can you can ask from a free app?

A tiny fraction of fires are reporting. I want to love this, but only a tiny fraction of Washington's current Forrest fires are reported in this app right now. 😥

Not updated. This app doesn’t always update the fires around me. Being near these fires most of the time, I need to know exactly when it happens and where they are. I’ll hear about it from a person, say to myself “oh, I gotta check my fire finder app”, and the fire isn’t there. ALSO, there a fire on there that says it’s still active, last updated from 10/30/18. Like??? Obviously that’s out now. It had me confused with another fire near me. Not cool.

Don't buy it.. I would not recommend this app the information is good but you could get it other places faster and this app freezes so much that it is worthless.

Doesn’t work.. 6 hours after big fire in Paradise and it’s still not showing on the app. Not happy I paid for this.

Western states only.. Hey, Florida has wildfires, too. Only the western states fires show up. That detail should be mentioned in the description.

COMPLETE FAILURE!. This app is a failure and should not be relied on for ANY warnings, evacuations or pre-emptive trips to the woods. I have watched from the day that the Glacier Fire started to today (5 days), sent the developer an email (no response after 3 days) and even though the fire has burned in excess of 4K acres, initiated evacuations of a small town AND made National News, plus my email...This Fire is STILL not displayed on this app. The App has now been deleted, never to waste space on my devices again! I do NOT recommend wasting any tim, effort or battery power with this worthless app!

Excellent app for hikers and outdoor people. This app pulls from the INCIweb and calfire source feeds, which have the most up to date fire. Easy to use, and perfect for getting accurate reads on fires in your area. However, please do check the actual source feeds to ensure that the app has updated, especially when you are going into an area that may have active fires.

App constantly crashes.. Great potential. Alas the app is rendered useless because it crashes all the time.

Not recommended. I’m surrounded by fires and none of them are on this app. Was hoping this could be a reliable way to be updated on the fires. I’m 10000000% better off with a google search.

Cripple creek fire. The fire nearest to me is not listed. It’s 386 acres.

Lousy with updates. I bought this app when the LNU complex started near our home in the North Bay Area in August of 2020. For days it showed a small portion of the fire but hadn’t been updated as the fire spread. By the time we were under mandatory evacuation due to another fire that had been growing for a couple of days, it still didn’t even show it on updated maps. Save your money and use caltopo.com

Nope. Don't waste a dollar. This app is glitchy and doesn't regularly update wildfire information. Not a good source of info for the serious wildland firefighter.
