Money Grab. I wish I had read the reviews first. They were right—this game changes once you download and play a few times. Once you decide the ads every 3 minutes are unbearable and pay for the ad-free version, the game becomes incredibly difficult and changes how they plate and sort the cake slices. It doesn’t even combine plates the same way. They’re trying to get you to pay for the extras and tools to help you raise your score. I never fell into additional purchases beyond the ad-free feature, and the game completely changed. It’s no longer enjoyable but annoying and frustrating. This is just a shameless money grab and I’m deleting and moving on after less than a week. Save yourself time and money and don’t bother. There are so many better sorting games out there that don’t play the games and have ads every 3 minutes.

It’s good but…. THE ADS!!! Yes this particular complaint is played out. But hear me when I say if ads tick you off this isn’t the game for you. I don’t usually mind having ads on games when it’s after the game play. This game puts the ads in the middle of your game atleast twice. So you start. Maybe one minute passes then there’s an ad. Then you play. 3 minutes pass another ad… and if it takes you longer then good luck! After your game is over it gives you a jackpot thing and you get another ad. at first I thought it was the only option so I chose to opt out of the jackpot… but you still get an ad. It’s an ad nightmare in an otherwise enjoyable game.

DONT DOWNLOAD!! wish I knew... DO NOT LISTEN TO GOOD REVIEWS, the ads are not short, these developers are absolute scammers and they know it! HOW TO SKIP ADs: I’m posting this so these scammer developers have to put actual work into their app, hopefully more ppl do this and then they’ll have to actually spend time on their game to prevent this - close the game when an ad pops up and then you open it right back up and you’ve skipped the ad! Once you re open the app, you’re right back where you were in game, when you closed the game/ completely skipping the forced ads every 40 seconds :) get to work devs!! <3 Original: I wish I didn’t waste my time giving this game a chance. The balance of forced very long ads vs game play time… it’s disgusting. I read about the insane amount of ads.. and I thought well.. I’ve played plenty of games with ads.. this game.. is a literal waste of time. You cannot even get into the game, every 40 seconds I get an ad.. I timed it!! AWFUL WASTE OF TIME GAME! you’ll spend more time waiting for ads to end than the developers spent making the game! I hope this helps the next “me” who comes through and thinks well, maybe the ads won’t be that bad. #uninstalled

Delightful Game. Delightful game, very easily comprehensible and simple to play. Only notes would be that ads are more frequent than I’m used to (every five or so minutes). It would also be wonderful if you were able to change your profile picture to different types of cake. Right now you can only choose non-customizable human avatars (which still doesn’t work because your picture remains the default cake even after changing it), but given that we are playing a cake game, it’d be nice to be able to also choose various cake pfps. 🍰🥮

Too Many Ads. I like the game, but I had to uninstall it after only playing it for a short while because of the constant ads. Almost every 10 seconds of playing you get a reward if you watch an ad, but if you click “no thanks” it plays an ad anyway. So now I have to watch an ad anyway, but I don’t even get the reward. I tried accepting the reward and it only played one ad. So it was literally useless to click “no thanks.” And this all happens throughout one run. I got to the end and filled up all the spots and I couldn’t place anymore plates, but the game didn’t end? It just expected me to buy powers to clear the tables or something, but I just wanted to restart with the new cakes I had earned. I found a “reset” button in the settings, but when I clicked it I got a warning that it would reset all my levels too?? Which is definitely not what I wanted to do. So I just uninstalled the game. It was too frustrating. If ads don’t bother you, go for it. I don’t mind a couple before or after a game, but getting 20 ads throughout a single run through is way too much for me.

Don't do it. This app genuinely doesn't want you to play it. It wants you to feed money into it, first under the premise that paying to go "ad-free" means you won't have to deal with any ads. This is not true. Altogether for an "ad-free" experience, you will pay $10. $8 to remove persistent banner ads, another $2 to remove ad-breaks between gameplay. However, there's still ads in the game for literally anything you want to do in the app. Want to do a daily challenge? Well, don't count on actually playing the game because the challenge is actually to see how many hellish ads you will sit through - sometimes, literally an hours worth of ads - to make 3 moves using tools. Which, in 99% of instances, are required in order to make any actual progress and succeed in the challenge. To say nothing of the REAL game which is rigged so that, you guessed it, you are eventually boned into either paying for tools you need to complete a THING or watching another hours worth of ads to spin a wheel that will maybe give you 40 coins. The game could be fun. Could be! But the people behind it, be it the dev's themselves or the corporation that owns this, are greedy pricks and just want your money. Pay to play! And even after you do, pay some more! Anyway, I hate them, the end

Ads! Ads! ADS!!!. This game is fun- WHEN YOU ACTUALLY GET TO PLAY IT. Every two seconds, there is an unnecessary “ad break”, there is an ad for every level you attain. The game feels like it’s punishing you for actually playing it. It’s a shame because I do actually enjoy the game. But the amount of ads is so excessive that this is the first review I have written. There are games where the ads sit on the top or bottom of the game, there are games that make you watch an ad after every level. To an extent, it’s fine, but this amount is just ridiculous. You watch more ads than play the game, why make the game in the first place? You lose players that could instead be playing the game. This is all just for money, such a waste

i love this game!!!. usually these types of phone games never hold my attention and they’re never even fun enough to justify the amount of ads you have to watch just to play, but this one is great!! all of the negative reviews saying there are too many ads…. let’s be so for real…. yes, ads can be annoying, but this game is actually fun!! so i’m okay with some ads here and there. this is a very good quality game, very fun, the fortune wheel doesn’t cheat you every spin- you actually get some good tools from it- AND they even GIVE you gold coins after ad breaks that are unskippable….. i think that’s pretty fair!! y’all are HATERS. love u cake sort 🫶🏻

Love this app. I love this little game. Something about organizing just sits right in my brain. There are only two things that bother me. The first is that the summer play days game had a countdown and was almost over and then it reset to 25 days.. I completed that game a while ago but it luckily doesn’t hinder me from getting to the last chest in the Daily Quests so that’s a plus :) The other thing that bothers is me when I get to a chest and there’s only coins in it and sometimes it’s only 60 coins? I think the chests should maybe have at least 2 items in it since they’re harder to get. Other than these (hopefully small) complaints, I’m obsessed and play nearly every day. I enjoy the option to do speedy time and all the different cake options!

DONT EVEN BOTHER!. AVOID THIS GAME! it was a mistake buying no ads. They absolutely destroy the game for you since they can't make money off of you anymore. It's even started not fully sorting cake that's clearly next to each other. I brushed it off a few times but it's endless and to a point even if I watch an ad to try and save a game, they'll just not let them fully connect and I'll be "too full" to keep playing 🙄 I'm constantly losing my progress because of glitches like this and it's making it almost impossible to want to keep playing. Just had to come back to this review, it did it AGAIN. Two games in a row lost to this stupid "glitch" Definitely just uninstalled, plenty of games that do the exact same thing and don't try to f you for buying their items

Kind of confusing the more you advance. I wish this game had an instruction manual that you could refer to at any time, because I still don’t fully understand how the mechanics work, and I’ve leveled up a few times, to the point where it feels almost impossible to advance. I don’t understand what triggers each cake to move in which direction. I will place new cake down thinking it is going to move in a certain direction only to be wrong. I searched for a tutorial in the app but couldn’t find anything. If I knew what my limitations were exactly it would make the game a lot easier to play.

ADS!!!!!!. There’s no way the 4.7 score is legit This could be a decent game if they actually gave you pieces you can use and CUT DOWN ON THE ADS!!!! I get that companies have to make money, but there are a lot of free games out there of a much higher quality with not even half the ads. There’s an ad to collect any bonus, and ad to continue the game, an ad to restart the game, and the stupid freaking AD BREAK anytime you make a good move (clearing a cake - especially two at once). And given there are no levels and they rarely give you the pieces you need, you need to use the power ups a decent amount. Guess what, you have to watch an ad to earn them. Even if you don’t feel like watching an ad and try to restart the game, you have to watch an ad.

Excessive Advertising Detracts from Gameplay Experience. I tried out this game and, while the concept and design show promise, my overall experience has been significantly marred by the overwhelming presence of advertisements. It is understandable that games often incorporate ads, particularly when offering rewards or bonuses. However, in this case, the frequency and duration of the ads are excessive. I found myself facing an ad every 30 to 45 seconds, with some ads lasting over a minute. This relentless interruption made it nearly impossible to engage with the game in any meaningful way. To put this into perspective, after approximately 15 minutes of gameplay, I spent more than half of that time watching ads. This imbalance severely disrupts the flow of the game and detracts from the overall enjoyment. While I acknowledge the need for monetization in free-to-play games, the current implementation feels intrusive and overwhelming. In conclusion, despite the potential of the game itself, the sheer volume and length of advertisements render it unplayable for me. I cannot recommend this game to others unless significant changes are made to address this issue.

Fun to play, annoyingwith ads. Cake sort is challenging but nonetheless very intriguing & fun to play. As far as having to watch ads every time you have to lose your progress is dissatisfying. But why do we have to lose our progress once we run out of space on the board?? The mini games are fun with some very interesting looking cakes, but you can only see the bottom rows because the ghosts & everything else is in the way. Daily rewards, the spin wheel buttons are always flashing & you better believe you need to watch a ad. & also to get the hammer why do watch a ad the first try. The second try we have to pay?

Game review. Overall a fun and challenging game. However, I have seen several occasions when the same cakes are on plates that are next to each other, yet they cakes do not merge, despite their being openings on each plate. Not sure why that occurs. Also, when there are multiple directions cakes could merge it seems they merge in the least favorable way for the next moves. Finally double cakes seem to inevitably have the worst cake options for the places where they can be placed. Not sure if these things are done to make the play the most difficult, or whether sone are just programming glitches. In either case, that prevents me from giving the game a 5 star rating.

Brittany Broski Worsened my Brain Rot. Everyone complains about the ads with this game… and they’re right! Personally, though, I just turned data off for this app and make sure my WiFi is off each time I play. It sounds tedious, but it’s so worth it. You can’t watch ads to get certain things, but you can still play bonus levels and claim rewards. The worst part about the game for me is the glitch in not combining cakes?? I’ve lost several games because the computer incorrectly combined 2+ cakes. This is the most frustrating part for me, and I really hope they fix the coding around this issue. All in all, I wish I had never listened to Brittany. I love her, but I miss the person I was before Cake Sort

Potential!. For starters! Amazing satisfaction this game provides me. It’s colorful & rewarding, (To an extent) it offers a challenge to think, use strategies, and deliberate. On the other hand, it has its disadvantages, beginning with I believe the game should be level based so I feel I earned more than just a cake skin. To an extent it’s cool to earn a new camo but sometimes I don’t like the camo y’all offered and I’m not looking forward to what I’m earning. I’d also like to add a comment on adds:/ they’re terrible…. I have to close the browser and reopen because how often the commercials repeat. Can I just enjoy a game?!?? A very ingenuity game but it definitely has its flaws that makes me want to delete it but I hope the devs listen to players and offer a change or the game will lose all players:)

dont be discouraged by the reviews!!. me before downloading: cute ads, cute description... but the reviews are NOT doing it justice. not excited for all the ads, but i'll try anyways... me after: ... yall were overreacting. yeah, sure, there's a bit of ads, BUT. they're all super short and/or playable, the developers didn't put in the really annoying ones. AND! they give you coins!! they don't just pop up for no reason, they actually help. "oh! but there's just so many!!" developers gotta eat too!! it's a free game with very little (and cheap) in app purchases. how else will they make money? my advice to the developers: DON'T change your marketing strategy!! the ads that brought me to this game were fun and cute, i really enjoyed how they were playable, and the description for the game charmed me all the more. and i REALLY enjoy how there's no stressful time limit or lives!! overall a fun and pretty relaxing game!

Omg the ADs!!. The game is a bit addicting but there aren't levels and nothing changes except more cakes get added if you accept. To get anywhere you'd need to use so many coins. I just don't bother and lose progress. The worst part is the ads. They are not just at the end. The stop the game in the middle for ads. If an ad is 60secs. It's that plus a 5-10 second countdown and hitting done, arrow or an X MULTIPLE times before you can actually get away from the ad. I have been playing games for over a decade and I've never run across a game that abuses advertising this badly. I actually stopped in the middle of an ad to do this review. I have to say goodbye to this game. It's too aggravating. I'm looking for relaxing.

Deleted within minutes. So, I saw this game and I thought, “hey, this looks fun! But I know from experience to check the reviews of past players, so I know what to expect!” So I did and I saw quite a lot of reviews with people claiming there were too many ads. I thought they were just being dramatic but once I downloaded it, the answer to their cries became clear: the reviews were right. There was an ad after LIKE LITERALLY ALMOST EVERYTHING! And what’s worse, It warns you! It says, “Loading Ads and then the ad comes on! I had barely unlocked the green cake at the beginning when the, like, 4th or 5th ad came on. That was the final straw, so I deleted it without regret. Maybe this game could have been better if it wasn’t just an ad machine scam.

Sad there are so many ads. The game is really fun, but the amount of ads is distracting. It also seems like the daily reward spin doesn’t update regularly. Many times I’ve open the app greater than 24 hours apart, but it still has an “play ad for reward” button instead of just the spin button. It also seems like they’ve made the bonus round ad-based in order to complete. When I first downloaded the ad about a month ago, I could complete the bonus round without much difficulty. But they’ve made it harder so you can’t finish without watching an ad or spending coins for to use a tool to keep going. All of these ad based games are making mobile gaming much less fun.

Disappointed. So I loved this game at the beginning, enough so that I paid for no ads, but the more I play the worse it gets. It seems like once you pay for no ads, they make you watch ads to get stuff that you didn’t have to before. For example, now that I’ve been playing for a while, the bonus rounds, which you unlock by getting points in the main level and used to be free to play, require me to watch an ad to play a level that I earned by playing… The developers reward you for your purchase to stop forced ads by forcing you to watch ads to unlock previously free content. Another thing that’s changed the more I play is the way the cakes move around the board. Oftentimes, when I place a cake, they don’t actually merge all the slices, leaving multiple plates instead of combining them. It’s almost as if they are forcing you to buy the booster tools, which cost a lot more than your coins accumulate. The whole thing is just designed to make you watch more ads (which to be clear I have NO problem doing in general, just not when it’s to play levels that were free to play before I purchased the no ads thing) and spend more money, which is so disappointing because I used to really enjoy the game.

Great for watching Advertisements. If you love watching advertisements this is the game for you! I watched so many advertisements that I almost forgot I was supposed to be playing a game. Even though this game is 12+ you will be shown advertisements that should really only been seen by adults. Considering the amount of time you must spend watching advertisements this game should really be 18+ itself. I deleted this game after watching one too many ads about tentacles and tinder. I would keep this game away from kids. The cake part itself is fun and I would have even considered buying it if I actually had a fair chance to play it. Now I will never know.

Glorified Free Ad Player. This “game” is just a thinly veiled attempt to subject you to as any ads as humanly possible. You get a *minimum* of 1 ad per 60 seconds and I’m not exaggerating. It’s not optional, like watch the ad to get a boost. You’re just forced to have at least one ad every minute. Sometimes it will just straight up put a pop up ad over your game feed. Also some of them have “options” for you to not watch the ad but whenever you click no thanks it just plays the ad anyway. The movement and placement system is clunky and doesn’t work well. The graphics are aggressively mid. There’s no reason to play this game unless you want to be mad about having to spend equal amounts of time watching ads as you do playing the actual game.

Addicting game, but WAY TOO MANY ADS!!!. This game is really fun to play, but to mimic many of the other reviews, the amount of ads is unbearable. You can’t play the game without watching ads ever other minute. Whether it be a forced ad, or just to continue with the game, it’s way too much. The ads are also super long. Other games I play have on average 30-second ads. This game has ads that range from 30 seconds to well over a minute. The levels don’t start over, so in order to continue playing, you have to watch multiple ads to get boosters. The boosters also go up in price each round. So you may have to watch like 8 ads just to purchase one booster, which doesn’t necessarily get you any further in the game. I really like the concept of the game, but I’m wasting half my life watching ads. So unfortunately, I may be deleting it.

Great game, but as placement needs some work. I really do like this game. It tickles the right part of my brain that keeps me coming back. One thing that does irritate me is the frequency/placement of the ads. When I click on a daily reward or something and the option pops up to watch an ad for another reward to just claim what I have…9 times out of 10 when I click on “claim” I get thrown into an ad anyway. My expectation from a user is if I click on claim then I wouldn’t get an ad, especially when I was just offered to watch one for powerups and I declined. It’s frustrating because then it’s like “oh well if I would have known I would have been thrown into an ad anyway then I would have watched it and gotten the extra powerups”. It just feels a little greedy.

The ads make this game unplayable. Most games like this play an ad at the end of the level, or once you lose. Not cake sort! Decline a power up? Here's an ad! Place 3 cakes? Time for an "ad break!" I have no problem if a game exchanges power ups for a 30 second ad, but this game forces you to watch ads with no reward. You can't even get into a satisfying rhythm or develop a strategy because the ads keep interrupting your gameplay. I discovered this game by playing a sample in an ad in another game, I have nothing against watching ads in exchange for free apps. But I literally got to play the game uninterrupted for longer in the advertisement than I do after downloading the actual game. It's that bad. Aside from all that, the puzzle format is okay, but it doesn't make a lot of sense, you can unlock new cakes that replace your old cakes mid game, eliminating them from the board, it's just kind of weird. There are unpredictable double cake plates which keep things tricky. Maybe I couldn't have gotten into it more with less commercial interruptions. If you enjoyed playing the sample you saw in an ad, I don't recommend bothering to download, it's not the same experience.

You Guys Are Cheats.. I loved this game so so much when i first got it. i could play without wifi and i could just sit mindlessly and play… i bought some cakes bc i thought why not.. now my game is near impossible to play. almost none of the cake will merge properly even when there are multiple ways it could. once or twice i could understand but this is getting to the point where 4 cakes side by side aren’t merging fully and literally leaving me with two full halfves on the cakes instead of two full cakes. when the goal is 9000 but after 2000 points your game stops working or they’ve tried to take every coin you’ve earned. the ads are atrocious and so repetitive i actively avoid this app unless i’m off wifi now. do better.

Fun game 2 critiqued. I really like this game! The cake merging is challenging but very satisfying. You do really need to pay to remove adds to make the game enjoyable. Also the screen with the cake merging is too busy I would remove the piggy bank and the wheel of fortune, or at least make them stagnant so they are not bouncing on screen. Also the same complaint with the home menu too many icons bouncing up and down the bubble blow is distracting. You need to get rid of the explanation marks for daily missions and weekly bonuses when you just want folks to watch more adds. I would put more of what’s on the Home Screen in the shop tab just to make it less chaotic. Also with the mini games it can be really hard to tell what cakes you are picking when you can only see the bottom of them.

Buffering!. Hello, Developers Currently your cake sorting app game is having problems. They are that when I press play the video advertisements won’t begin loading. Because it is buffering. Which is preventing me from playing the other part of your game. It also prevents me from getting the items that can be used to do sorting with. Please fix the bugs in your app game. Because I do enjoy playing your cake sorting game. Lately, Advertisements of other games apps have been freezing. That causes the screen to go blank and I see a black screen. Then it takes a several hours or minutes for the intro screen to reset itself so that I can resume playing your cake sorting app game. Please fix the bugs in your app game. Because I do enjoy playing your game app.

More ad time than play time. If you enjoyed playing this game in a demo version in an ad, don’t bother downloading the actual Cake Sort game - you already got more continuous ad-free play in the ad for Cake Sort than you will ever get in the actual game app! You get about 15 seconds of playtime, then the game gives you a cute little pop-up to tell you that it is time for an ad. And that ad will last a minimum of 30 seconds, some as long s a minute or more, before the game lets you resume play. I tried this for about 30 minutes, and in that amount of ad time, I washed the dishes, fed the dog, had a snack, and still managed to only sneak in about three levels of the actual game. Don’t waste your time and storage space - just enjoy the ad version of Cake Sort when it pops up inside of any other game you play.

Treat this game like it costs $2.99. This is a really fun and a very creative idea! It’s a great mix of fun and strategy. I bet a lot of people are going to be upset about the amount of ads. There are a ton in the free version, so beware if you have no intention of paying anything. You’ll get an ad every couple minutes. But if you’re willing to pay the $2.99 that it takes to remove ads and avoid the ads to get bonuses, you can just enjoy the game. It’s well worth the $2.99 I paid for it! People pay $50 for Switch games, $3 isn’t that bad if you enjoy the game. The developers deserve to get compensated for their work.

Greedy. I loved this game when I first downloaded it, hated the ads though. So I bought the app to get rid of the ads and that's when I noticed the game changed. It was no longer a simple puzzle game. It started giving me pieces I couldn't put anywhere over and over and over again so you have no choice but restart the match. You'd use up all your in game money to move pieces around and have to restart anyway because the game just keeps giving you impossible pieces to play. I understand each level gets more difficult but I know what i'm experiencing is just greed plain and simple. I bought the game therefore there's no more money coming from all those ads so they make it now that you have to spend your real money to get anywhere in this game. At least make the help tools restart back at 0$ once you get a new cake. Like how big and greedy can you possibly be. My god. Oh and the fortune wheel ? RIGGED. I get it everyone's gotta eat, it's just lame and it's not as fun anymore. You can't even empty your piggy bank now if you buy the "no ads" without spending real money what is that??? It's lame and it should be fixed or don't even have the option to get rid of ads. It's a scam to get you locked in to buy and spend money on a puzzle game. Big L for loser.

Ad central// User warning. Not interesting enough to deal with the ads every 5 seconds and makes you want to yeet your phone (yes ancient lingo but you get me). Between games would be find but it just seems like a genuine scam to max profit without giving anything even after you pay. Additional Update: seems like even when you pay for no ads you still get constant ads so I am not really sure why this app has so many high ratings. It also appears that other users have a big complaint that, in later stages of the game, it becomes unplayable as though their main motive was to push profit to pull people in with a simple game but then just hit you with constant ads. Which okay for a free game but still after you pay? When does the madness end my fellows.

Many glitches. I paid for no ads, occasionally I still get forced ads. I downloaded it on my iphone too and it does not recognize I paid for no ads and I still have forced ads every other game. When you run out of spaces that fit the cakes, the game just hangs. You have no X or home buttons to get out of the session. There is no reset either. Leaving the game and reloading it also does not work. You are forced to use one of your tools to then let the game fail you to move on. What a waste of an earned tool. You can not contact support over issues because it doesn’t work either.

Can’t collect daily reward. What the title says, is my biggest issue. I’ve been waiting to be able to collect day 5 for several days now. I really enjoy the gameplay and the variety of cakes. Was totally worth the $3 to get rid of most of the ads. You still have to watch ads for some extra things, but it’s not focus-breaking like trying to play without the “no-ads” option. I hope that option is kept at 2.99, it’s very reasonable and most other games charge way too much, in which case I usually just delete. I understand developers need to make money but at the same time, it’s refreshing to not feel gouged.

Change title to ad sorter. Do you like ads? If you do, you’ll love this game. The developers have managed to optimize your ad viewing experience. Start the game? There’s an ad for that. Ran out of moves? There’s an ad for that. Need special item to keep playing? There’s an ad for that. Got a phone call while playing? There’s an ad. Looked away from the screen? There’s an ad for that. Farted? That’s right, there’s an ad for that. Not getting enough ads and want more? Don’t worry, there are ad breaks in the middle of game play every 40-seconds. Closed, opened, or deleted the game? There’s an ad for all that. You paid for the ad free version? No worries, you’ll still have to watch ads to get special items atop keep playing. It’s ads galore.

Could Have Been Great. **Caution** The play time in the Ad you saw for this game will be the longest uninterrupted time you will ever get after downloading it. The graphics are passable and somehow look better on the Ad. While the game is fun, the amount of mood busting Ads are ridiculous. Ads in the middle of a board, Ads when you lose a boards, Ads after pop up suggestions you decline not to accept because it isn’t clear if you will need to watch an ad, then another add for achieving a 5 coin bonus I never got to what they were even to be used for. Distracting Ad banner blinking just waiting for your hand to slip. No way I was going to trust that $2.99 would remove all of that and this all occurred after 5 minutes on the first board, meaning I clearly not enough time to decide if I like the game that much. Towards what I can only guess is close the end of the 1st board it gets increasingly, wildly difficult but of course so you can play it over again after an ad, and a few suggested boost,all followed by an Ad. I deleted it. I don’t have that kind of time to sit and work for this game’s profit.

Great game but ads and increasingly hard levels make it impossible. I would like this game a lot if not for the fact, I can’t play this game without spending tons of time on ads to use special items to unlock the next cake to unlock(which half the time I don’t even want). Plus not being able to go very high level (specifically stuck at level 19) without using ads to boost you…I wish you had a choice in which cake you wanted to unlock, because half the time I’m spending 5-10 runs to unlock an ugly cake hoping the next one I’ll like… I really hope the developers work on this aspect of the game otherwise a very fun strategy based game which i appreciate in an era of brain dead mobile apps.

Unforgiving game that wants you to pay money. It’s difficult to get good at this game when the program purposefully sends you impossible cake combinations that you would never be able to predict, nor resolve. I paid to have an ad free experience, but getting to the next cake is nearly impossible without watching ads to receive aid. It’s really too bad since this is a fun game, but it started to feel like a chore when you need 7,000 points to get to the next level and you keep getting stuck in the 1,000 point range. Edit: I don’t know why the developer keeps responding to all of the negative comments with the same cut and paste response. It’s not helpful, and it really feels like the developer doesn’t care at all.

Fun game but the amount of ads is ridiculous. This game has a good balance between fun and challenging, and is a creative take on the usual merge games. It’s also nice that you can play offline. However, like other reviews have mentioned, the amount of ads you receive while playing is ridiculous. I understand the needs to make profits, and I’d happily watch a few ads a day to support the developers, but it gets real annoying when an “ad break” is shoved in your face every 60 seconds. Besides that, to get the free the power-ups, you almost always have to, wait for it, watch another ad video - and even then, sometimes you won’t even receive the items. After 2 days of playing, I think I’m ready to move on from this game, not because it’s boring, but because I just have better things to do with my time than sitting around watching ads.

The game is very fun.... IF you play with no internet or wifi because otherwise there are so many ads constantly that just ruin the flow and enjoyment of the game. If you want to have your internet on and play the game half the time you will be playing and the other half will be spent watching the ads. It is really sad because the game is pretty fun but the constant ads really just ruin it. If they made them optional to watch that would be fine but they make you have an "ad break" in the middle of gameplay and make the buttons to watch the ads super big and the button to decline very small. Over all super scummy hopefully they do better or im just gonna play a differnt game🤷‍♀️

I enjoy the game but…. I really enjoy the game, I play it almost everyday, but I have a few issues. First of all why did I spend money to get rid of ads when I still have to watch ads to spin the prize wheel or win other prizes. I thought I was paying to get rid of all the ads all together. It’s super frustrating. Second I really don’t like how many coins you win when you clear a cake. I feel it could be more and you should receipt bonuses if you clear off more than one cake at a time. It is a fun game but I would like to see some updates.

GOOD DOWNLOAD COULD BE BETTER. I really enjoy this game it’s comforting and easy and it looks like it would be boring but it’s really not. Usually I get to a certain point and I can’t fit anything and then I just restart it but it’s just nice that it’s not working towards anything or not trying to achieve anything you’re just matching things up. Want to like game but…too many ads.. I have sampled playing this game a few times through ads on other games and sadly I got more game play time in the ad than the game. I finally decided to download the game and within the first four minutes of playing I had three ads pop up. When ad time doubles the amount of actual game play, I delete the game especially when can’t even get five full minutes without an ad to see if I even like the game first. The game might be super fun but it is a waste of my time to sit through excessive ads. I would like to be able to play a game before even paying for the ad free option as well, sadly this game must go.

Unplayable. This is the single worst app I’ve ever seen. It’s an absolute scam. The ads are so intrusive and annoying and I can’t even see how to pay for them to stop (I know the feature exists but I can’t find it which is pretty funny because they probably would have gotten me). The game also, even with all sounds shut off, still plays music when you hit an add so you can’t be listening to music or anything while you play because it shuts it off. So basically what you’re getting with this app is under a minute of game play and then ad over and over. It’s pathetic and obviously a way to just collect money on the part of the developer. Again. Extremely pathetic and also terrible business. Deleting.

Too many ads. The ads are getting ridiculous, to the point I no longer want to play. There are so many that you’re going to spend more time watching then playing — not even counting the fact that you have to click 3-5 times to even CLOSE the ad. You can pay or simply play offline, yes, but it’s insane. I have *no* issue with ads, I’ll gladly watch them.. but not every other minute like it currently is on the game. Not to mention the fact that the ads often cause the game to lag and/or crash, and by the time it’s fixed, you have another ad to watch. The graphics are decent, and I like that the game can be a little challenging at times. But until this ad situation is dealt with, I’ll be uninstalling the game..

Ridiculous Amount of Ads. The game play is fun and I really enjoy playing however it’s nearly every time you complete a cake, it’s every time you lose. It is very nice that they give you 5 coins every ad break however the amount of ads you have to watch, and the same annoying ads over and over is a lot even for one of these “satisfying mobile games.” I plan to just delete it, it was fun for a couple days but the ads are too much, if you’re someone who would be willing to buy the ad free experience it might be worth it. Super addicted, wishing for only one thing!. Unbearable. Absolutely atrocious. An ad plays every thirty seconds and I’m not being hyperbolic. And they’re long ads too, each one playing for about a minute before you think it’s over, but then another timer pops up and then when you FINALLY think it’s over a THIRD timer pops up. Those most obnoxious of ads where you’re just left staring at the still “download now” image for thirty friggin’ seconds. Normally I’m willing to pay for ads to be removed from a good game, but unfortunately I don’t know if this game is any fun. I only played for about ten minutes before I was too miserable to continue. And by “played for ten minutes” I mean “played for three minutes and watched seven minutes’-worth of ads”. I’d say the developers should be ashamed but let’s be honest. This is a low-effort cash grab with no talent or creativity behind it. It’s not a game, it’s just commercials.

Too much gameplay not enough ads!!!. This ad platform has too much gameplay. The random 15 seconds of gameplay interferes too much with my ability to watch ads. Why not just get rid of the game altogether and just focus on the ads?

I’m quite hooked but ... Love the gameplay. Quite simple but addictive. Have bought 1 small pack so have sent a few $ your way in appreciation. But it’s getting harder and harder to have any tools to use as the cost going up each time I use one. And SO MANY ADS. I get it - ads help you be profitable but really? This many? Now I have to watch so many ads to get enough coins to use a tool because I’m stuck. No opportunity to restart. $1.99 for 1000 coins / that’s not even 1 tool anymore. I want to keep playing and will probably send a few more $ your way but my small contribution does not get me very far. I like the little bonus side game.

Too many ads. The game is great but there are so many ads that it ruins it. Fun to play in short sessions but the amount of ads gets frustrating so I don’t end up playing for long.

Non stop adds. Even if you choose no ad option you still get ads interrupting your game at least once every 5 seconds. I haven’t got through a level yet without playing through at least 5 ads that pop up without prompting during gameplay. At the end of each level I’ve selected the no ad option hoping they fixed the issue and I wouldn’t be hassled with more garbage ads for boring games, but they still haven’t fixed it. Until they fix this issue, do yourself a favour and install other idle type games instead, this one is a waste of your phones battery power.

Please get rid of game zone ads. I love cake sort but the ‘game zone’ ads have ruined it for me. The ‘game zone’ ads leave you in an endless loop and the only way to get out of them is to restart my phone. The annoyance of these ads far outweigh the pleasure of the game. What a shame.

Ads every 60 seconds!. This isn’t a bad game. The huge turn off is the amount of ads, utterly ridiculous. Every 60 seconds or even every 40 seconds. Too many ads. There’s regular ad breaks, ads every time you win a new feature, ads every time you want to gain a hammer or coins, and then you have to wait a certain (long) time period before you can watch more ads to gain coins. I think it’s maybe 50/50 ads/game play

Bat Cat. An enjoyable game and a little bit addictive and that’s where it gets you sucked into trying to get awards to assist in moving or eliminating cakes by watching incessant ads!! I feel the game is weighted towards you always needing to ‘spin the wheel’..!!

Reduce the ads. The game is good but the number of ads is ridiculous. Also, the length of time the ads are on is way too long in most cases. Remove/reduce the ads and more people will play.

There is an option to watch an ad for more rewards, you can decline watching the ad with the “No, Thanks” link that appears; however, it will still play an ad if you skip it more than twice in a row but then you don’t get the reward, so you’re not really skipping the ad. Game would be enjoyable if not for the constant ads as they disrupt the flow of the game.

The coins are so stupid. Just remove them. There is literally NOTHING in the game you can use the coins for. Just remove them. Responding to developer: I already used coins to get the decorations, once you buy them then you still rack up thousands of coins with nothing to spend them on. You should put a section in the ‘shop’ that lets you use a chunk of coins to buy a single booster item or a skip ticket for a really big chunk of coins. You have an option to buy like 90k coins which I’m pretty sure is more than it would cost to buy every single decoration (yay, I get to change the shape of the plates??)

Too many ads!. The ads outweigh the actual playing time by about 3-1. In the 5 mins since I downloaded the game I’ve watched about 4 mins of ads and only played a total of 1 min. It seems like I only have the chance to play the game for about 30 seconds before another ad comes on. It’s ridiculous. This looked like a fun game but I’m not even having a chance to play it!

If you love ads. If you love ads portraying graphic romanticised domestic violence and child abuse, alternated with ads for cartoonized infliction of trauma, terror and torture, you’ll love playing this game because there’s far more of that than actual cake game play.

No help support. No purchase sync between devices.. Good game but there isn’t an option to sync your ad-free purchase between devices (ie iPad to iPhone). When trying to get support through the app, the help pop up didn’t work.

Not like preview. The actual app isn’t like the preview game. The music is more annoying, not relaxing. The cakes are not visually the same, they’re smaller and surrounded by things to purchase! No thanks, uninstalled.

3.5 stars. I genuinely like this game. in fact, one of my classmates introduce this game and then I decided to download it. don’t get me wrong I don’t regret downloading it but I feel like it has potential to add more features. This is really just feedback but let me emphasise now, I really do like the game. Oh it also has decent graphics. I think we should be able to have more customisable features and also change the tiles of the floor. Additionally, I think there could be more mini bonus games. Lastly I think it would be a good idea to have different modes e.g proper levels, timed rounds maybe?? I know there are events that have proper levels but even that needs work or could be harder. Oh personally I domt mind the ads as much but I do recommend turning off your wifi. again it is a good game, but it definitely can be better and I’m sure the team is skillful enough to do that :))

More ads than game. I could have actually gotten into this game if it wasn’t so aggressively ad based. Why would they force people to watch so many ads just to progress a few seconds into the game. Scam - upgrade doesn’t work. I paid for no ads - they took my money but I’m still getting ads. When you click the contact link, the email bounces back saying it doesn’t exist. Coins useless…. What’s the point of earning coins if you can’t spend them? I have over 45k of coins but have to use real money to get anything worthy. The levels are super hard to come by, in terms of unlocking the cakes.

Check invoice carefully. I have enjoyed playing this game, so I'm annoyed about the problems. Beware that in-app purchases are often duplicated on the invoice and you just paid twice as much, or items are added to the invoice which you didn't order and also don't receive the benefits paid for those 'ghost' items.

Ads detract from game. The game is fun and actually challenging in a nice way, but being interrupted several times within a single level for 59 second ads is not what I’m looking for.

Paid to remove ads and I still receive ads. I chose the option to pay or the removal of ads for this game. Payment went through smoothly and no issues and my credit card was charged. However, when I went to go play the game again, I still received all the ads despite payment. I did send an email to have this situation rectified. And I have yet to receive a response and all the ad continues.

Game freezes, Dev’s lack accountability. This game freezes and glitches constantly. It’ll take multiple turns for the game to register that there are matches next to one another. Because of that, if you don’t have enough turns as it takes for it to register, you’ll lose. I reported this problem because I was sick of losing lives that I paid real money for. In their response, they said to send video evidence next time because without any proof, they couldn’t do anything. I found this frustrating but I obliged and sent them actual screen recordings of the game glitching out. They responded saying thank you for sending the footage, they’d work on fixing glitches and suggested I try playing more slowly and then maybe it wouldn’t glitch. Don’t waste your money, you’ll just lose levels due to glitches anyway and they’ll just blame it on you, saying you’re playing too fast. This is especially ridiculous as they have reviews from over a year ago stating the same glitches. They won’t fix it, they know it’s happening, they don’t care.

Would be much more fun if it wasn’t purposefully sabotaging you to push you into watching more ads. The game literally will go choose the worst possible ‘move’ choice 99% of the time; if you’re specifically trying to clear a plate to make room for a double, and you have the almost full cake you’re trying to get rid of on the left, the entire plate will shuffle over to the right and clear that plate instead, and leaving the single piece on the left specifically ro block the place that would need to be cleared for the double, and will sometimes even glitch out so bad you have two plates with more than enough to make a full cake, they’re side by side, but the pieces that are ‘wrong’ are never ‘switched’ - it just keeps shuffling them back and forth but purposefully not clearing either one. It’s one thing for it to happen occasionally, but majority of the time? clearly an internal manipulation meant to make you fail more often than you typically would, but still not happening all the time so you can’t reliably adjust your gameplay to match

Interference. I really enjoyed playing this game in the ads, so I finally downloaded it, and enjoyed it for a while. Ads ads ads. Ads every 30 seconds…. The game is almost not playable

Great game !. Super fun game , relaxing and entertaining but even if you pay for no ads it’s just insane the amount of ads …. Thinking about deleting the app because of this

Too many glitches. Apart from the ads, this games has lots of glitches. Identical Pieces don’t want to merge and plates don’t disappear. Makes you lose every time and you have to restart your progress

Ads galore. To say you spend more time watching ads than actually playing is not an exaggeration. It’s horrible. Don’t bother.

Kills the battery. The game is enjoyable and relaxing, but it slows down the phone, drains the battery, and makes it very hot.

More ads than game play. Ads increased in frequency until literally one appeared for every three seconds of play. Deleted.

Slow to update. It’s December. Can we lose the Halloween theme already? I tried deleting and reinstalling, but it didn’t fix it…

Too many ads. Frustrating how many ads there are in the game! Hoping advance levels gets less if not deleting the game

Even more ads. I really enjoy playing this game but today it seems that ads pop up have increased. Can’t play for five seconds without two ads popping up. Fun game but horrible app. Don’t bother downloading.

Ads make it Unplayable. Recently it appears they made an update that allows the lower banner ads to slide up over top the screen every 5 seconds (I counted). If you attempt to collapse the expanded banner, it launches you into an ad. To add insult to injury, the banner slides up again WHILE THE OTHER AD IS RUNNING. Saying I can’t play the game isn’t an exaggeration, the expanded banner covers the entire lower half of the screen and collapsing it just forces the user into an infinite loop of ads. Get a grip.

Holy Ads Batman. Are we so hard up for cash that every 5 seconds you’re shoving 10 ads in our face? If that’s the case then just have a flat fee for the game. This is getting pretty ridiculous.

Too many ads. I like this game but ads every 2 minutes is too much! I uninstalled that after playing 10 rounds

Stuck in Halloween mode. Ran the latest updates and I’m still in Halloween mode. I would rather nothing.

Ad glitches. I don’t mind the amount of ads as I realize that’s is how you monetize but one ad just won’t close down. Twice now I’ve had to shut the game down completely just to get out of that ad and get back to the game. The ad starts and there is a timer that you have to wait for before closing down and returning to the game. Almost immediately there is a pop up and when you close the pop up the timer stops. It’s only a 10 second timer but after 30 seconds it hadn’t moved at all. I closed down the game and when I reopened the app that ad started again.

Way too many ads. Fun game but way tougher many ads, it’s very annoying.

Ads have overtaken. Can’t even make 1 move with out ad covering playing field. It didn’t used to be like that but it now has made the game completely unplayable. Will check next week and if it’s not fixed delete the app. Too bad the game was fun.

The ads link to really suspicious websites. I don’t spend money on mobile apps, I’m not going to pay to remove ads. It’s normally not a big deal. Unfortunately with this app, the ads have started taking me to very suspicious links that look like malware, even when I haven’t clicked on them. Especially for a game listed as “family friendly”, I would not allow a child to play this without the ads removed, and I think it’s insidious that the devs are letting what looks to me like malware links onto the app to encourage people to pay to remove ads. I enjoy playing this but if you’re not already hooked find something else. Fun mindless game but the malware links ruin it.

It’s good but…. THE ADS!!! Yes this particular complaint is played out. But hear me when I say if ads tick you off this isn’t the game for you. I don’t usually mind having ads on games when it’s after the game play. This game puts the ads in the middle of your game atleast twice. So you start. Maybe one minute passes then there’s an ad. Then you play. 3 minutes pass another ad… and if it takes you longer then good luck! After your game is over it gives you a jackpot thing and you get another ad. at first I thought it was the only option so I chose to opt out of the jackpot… but you still get an ad. It’s an ad nightmare in an otherwise enjoyable game.

More ads than gameplay.. The game itself is fun, honestly a mind numbing entertaining experience, it’s easy and exactly what you’d expect. But dear god… The amount of ads you get while playing is truly beyond unreasonable. When you win, ‘ad breaks’ while sorting, with every level up or addition.. I don’t think I could get a period of 5 minutes with this game open where I wasn’t advertised to. I’m sure theres an option to pay to remove the ads but im not even incentivized to buy it as the developers are clearly more interested in the pocket change they get for each ad shoved down my throat rather than any fraction of enjoyment I may get while playing

Something is wrong. I really like this game. The 3 stars is for that I can’t get it to work anymore. I’ve really progressed in it, but now it’s glitched or something to where it won’t let me end a “currently in progress” session, in other words I lost and it won’t let me start over. It just keeps taking me back to the losing level that is impossible to play UNLESS I pay for assistance. Restarting the app doesn’t work either. I’m sadly about to delete the game since I can’t play it anymore. I don’t want to delete it and reinstall it and lose all my levels. So I’m just going to delete it!

Used to love it. I was loving this game until they recently made changes where it doesn’t show your score at the end and instead only gives you the option to keep playing, even when you have no moves left. You can reset the same but then it doesn’t show a score. If you continue to play you are forced to use or purchase boosts that let you removes cakes in order to keep playing. I loved playing until I ran out of moves and seeing if I beat my previous high score.

The games really Convenient. It’s a fun relaxing game but there are too many ads.I would really recommend it if your outside a lot and need a game you can spend ether a very little time in or really long, as in this game doesn’t require your to finish anything so you could play for like 20seconds then stop or you could play for long amounts of time because it’s not boring. best of all it was just as the ads showed I’m really happy with this game it should just have a few less ads though(:

Could have been fun. This app could have been fun. But every 4 or 5 moves a mandatory “ad break” popped up. If you are listening to music or an audiobook while you are playing, it will sporadically stop the music/book. And if you switch to that to restart it, you get another ad when you flip back to the app. And last but not least, you never really finish a round. They just try to sell you more “stuff.” There is no way to reset or restart. I gave it two stars because I did enjoy the strategy of the game when it actually let me play. But the excessive ads have me deleting the app.

Ad bug.. I really do love this game, but I am so over the fact that I keep watching ads to not even get anything. I’ve had several since where the game freezes up and does not give me my gift. I also find it completely rigged. The wheel does not stop on the actual gift but will continue moving past it. If it was a coin rather than a gift, it would actually stop on the coin. I feel I deserve several free gifts just because I watch so many ads for nothing because it either freezes or the wheel is rigged.

Insane Amounts of Ads!. This game came up to me on an ad, so I gave it a shot. It was October so there was a Halloween Challenge too. It was fun for a month or so but now it’s boring and repetitive. But my biggest issue is the amount of ads that pop up is INSUFFERABLE. You have to watch ads more than you play. They’re also 1 min or 30 secs long! The latest update said that they were reducing ads - they didn’t, they just made SOME of them shorter. Learn from Candy Crush / Toy Blast / Farm Heroes. You need side challenges for users to keep being engaged and collect boosters and coins. And ADS SHOULD BE OPTIONAL. Not while playing the main game! I gave you guys a second chance but I stopped playing yesterday.

Unforgiving game that wants you to pay money. It’s difficult to get good at this game when the program purposefully sends you impossible cake combinations that you would never be able to predict, nor resolve. I paid to have an ad free experience, but getting to the next cake is nearly impossible without watching ads to receive aid. It’s really too bad since this is a fun game, but it started to feel like a chore when you need 7,000 points to get to the next level and you keep getting stuck in the 1,000 point range. Edit: I don’t know why the developer keeps responding to all of the negative comments with the same cut and paste response. It’s not helpful, and it really feels like the developer doesn’t care at all.

ads make it unplayable. I couldn’t get a sense for whether I’d enjoy this game or not because so many ads pop up and interrupt gameplay at such a frequently that I deleted it after ten minutes (in which time I had to watch at least 5, and probably more like 7, ads). I don’t mind paying a reasonable amount for game apps, not the occasional ad, but why even offer a “free” version to try if it’s going to kill any interest one might have? After reading recent reviews, sounds like even the “paid” version is ad-heavy, to the detriment of the game. Clearly should’ve read those before giving this a shot!

If I could give it 0 stars I would.. I paid for no ads package and after playing a few weeks later I noticed I got an ad break and was confused, thought it mightve been a glitch until i got it every 3 cakes i set down. Went to the profile where I saw they had the little guy with the headset on (customer support) and said “great, I can get this fixed asap!” guess what? you have to be a “VIP” to use their customer support features and their FAQ section is just empty. Great, went to the profile to dig around and clicked “restore purchases” and waited for about 5 mins, opened the game back up and im still getting ads. Im uninstalling this game and wouldn’t recommend anybody to even waste time or money on it.

Ads! Ads! ADS!!!. This game is fun- WHEN YOU ACTUALLY GET TO PLAY IT. Every two seconds, there is an unnecessary “ad break”, there is an ad for every level you attain. The game feels like it’s punishing you for actually playing it. It’s a shame because I do actually enjoy the game. But the amount of ads is so excessive that this is the first review I have written. There are games where the ads sit on the top or bottom of the game, there are games that make you watch an ad after every level. To an extent, it’s fine, but this amount is just ridiculous. You watch more ads than play the game, why make the game in the first place? You lose players that could instead be playing the game. This is all just for money, such a waste

Love but…. I love this app. It’s my favorite game and my hyper fixation for the last 3 months. My only problems are all the ads like everyone else says, the sorting pattern with the cakes (more cakes could be sorted all together but for some reason the pattern won’t collect from certain plates), and the themes!!! I love collecting the holiday cakes but it’s been Halloween for too long. I’m not sure if it’s just my app on Halloween mode, but I would love to have it be a christmas update with christmas cakes! The more cake options to collect the better and you can’t go wrong with all the holidays.

Don’t Bother!. I downloaded this game because it seemed like fun, and it probably would be…if the gameplay wasn’t interrupted with constant ads. I even bought the “no ads” option, which is a complete scam since I didn’t see it clarify anywhere before purchase that it ONLY gets rid of the banner at the bottom of the screen! I wouldn’t mind the option to watch ads to earn a boost/coins or restart the level like in other games, but slamming ads in my face every time I progress got old super fast. The levels don’t take long enough to justify having an ad at the end of each one! I hate that I paid $3 and still can’t enjoy this game purely b/c of ads, I would NOT recommend it to anyone 💔

The game is very fun.... IF you play with no internet or wifi because otherwise there are so many ads constantly that just ruin the flow and enjoyment of the game. If you want to have your internet on and play the game half the time you will be playing and the other half will be spent watching the ads. It is really sad because the game is pretty fun but the constant ads really just ruin it. If they made them optional to watch that would be fine but they make you have an "ad break" in the middle of gameplay and make the buttons to watch the ads super big and the button to decline very small. Over all super scummy hopefully they do better or im just gonna play a differnt game🤷‍♀️

Events. I honestly do really love this game, however, I do get a bit annoyed with the events going on. The XMAS event says it has 5 days left but just the other day it said there was an hour left? It’s a good ways past Valentine’s day and the event hasn’t kicked off yet for me? I was thinking it was an update issue but the app says it’s up to date. The same issue happened with the Halloween event. It started way past October and didn’t end til around Christmas time. Beside the events, the game is genuinely fun and I enjoy playing it.

Welcome to Ad Town. I’m not averse to app developers and gaming companies making money. However, when it makes the game essentially unplayable, it’s unacceptable. The concept of this game is really satisfying. I love puzzle games and this one is challenging and has surprisingly high level strategy involved. Unfortunately, the game requires you to watch an ad approximately every 5-7 moves. I spent just as much time (if not more) watching ads as I did engaged in game play. Also, the level at which the difficulty of the game increases makes it painfully clear they care about profit more than they do the player’s experience. Good for about 45minutes to an hour, then it becomes unplayable. AVOID.

Brittany Broski Worsened my Brain Rot. Everyone complains about the ads with this game… and they’re right! Personally, though, I just turned data off for this app and make sure my WiFi is off each time I play. It sounds tedious, but it’s so worth it. You can’t watch ads to get certain things, but you can still play bonus levels and claim rewards. The worst part about the game for me is the glitch in not combining cakes?? I’ve lost several games because the computer incorrectly combined 2+ cakes. This is the most frustrating part for me, and I really hope they fix the coding around this issue. All in all, I wish I had never listened to Brittany. I love her, but I miss the person I was before Cake Sort

I enjoy the game but…. I really enjoy the game, I play it almost everyday, but I have a few issues. First of all why did I spend money to get rid of ads when I still have to watch ads to spin the prize wheel or win other prizes. I thought I was paying to get rid of all the ads all together. It’s super frustrating. Second I really don’t like how many coins you win when you clear a cake. I feel it could be more and you should receipt bonuses if you clear off more than one cake at a time. It is a fun game but I would like to see some updates.

Fun game way too many ads. This game is very fun; however, the ridiculous amount of long ads every minute or two is annoying. Every level up it’s an ad. Every completed cake here comes another ad. It’s been two minutes oh here comes a random ad. Ads are timed and are anywhere from 10-60 seconds. I get an ad here or there, even though many games these days don’t have them. All the ads also require multiple clicks once the time is up. Click close take you to app store, click close takes you back to ad, click close again it’s luck of draw if it goes back to App Store or the actual game. When I find myself force closing a game because of ads more than I’m playing it there is an issue.

Too expensive. I really like the game but there are a lot of ads and no way to buy a “no ads” option like other games Also it’s almost impossible to play without buying tool packs and each use of tools is super expensive compared to how many coins earned by completing cakes or levels I have never spent so much money on a free game as much as I like it I’m afraid I’m gonna have to stop playing. This game costs me more than an energy drink a day :( such a shame cuz I really liked it

Too many ads never get anything free. The is a lot of fun but successful games allow you to get free items to contribute to time you put in to play the game consistently which brings up game time and the reward factor of a game. You can’t get anything for free not even daily log in rewards and you have sit through ads every 10 seconds. It doesn’t feel rewarding at some point it becomes repetitive and boring and frustrating not having the tools to save yourself from losing. Also better explanation of how items work would be nice or some sort of confirmation for using an item as well. I have to memorize what some of the items do or else I’m just using it on the incorrect cake by accident.

Love. I absolutely love this game!! Its had me on a chokehold since i downloaded it. Yes the ads are a bit much but you can just turn on airplane mode and not get any ads by doing so. I do have one complaint though, It wont let me change it to any other theme. It’s stuck on the Christmas one. I’ve done everything i can think of for it to switch but it wont. Maybe it’s just my phone🤷‍♀️. Other than the theme not changing this game is great, I’ve had no glitches or anything else. I do highly recommend on getting this game!

Kind of confusing the more you advance. I wish this game had an instruction manual that you could refer to at any time, because I still don’t fully understand how the mechanics work, and I’ve leveled up a few times, to the point where it feels almost impossible to advance. I don’t understand what triggers each cake to move in which direction. I will place new cake down thinking it is going to move in a certain direction only to be wrong. I searched for a tutorial in the app but couldn’t find anything. If I knew what my limitations were exactly it would make the game a lot easier to play.

You ever get a game after playing an ad version?. Just to be immediately disappointed by how close they got to having a really fun game, but in the worst way possible? Well that’s Cake Sort. I don’t know how they managed to make the ad version more enjoyable to play but they nailed it like so many other game devs. If they had just made the ad version the actual version, I would’ve played this for days/months the/ etc. instead I played long enough to realize that you HAVE TO BUY THEIR DARK MODE WITH THE STORE FREEBIE TICKET THAT ALL GAMES GIVE YOU!! If you like being almost immediately being overwhelmed with the typical “check out the store” schtick that’s almost every mobile game pushes on you now, have fun.

Deleted within minutes. So, I saw this game and I thought, “hey, this looks fun! But I know from experience to check the reviews of past players, so I know what to expect!” So I did and I saw quite a lot of reviews with people claiming there were too many ads. I thought they were just being dramatic but once I downloaded it, the answer to their cries became clear: the reviews were right. There was an ad after LIKE LITERALLY ALMOST EVERYTHING! And what’s worse, It warns you! It says, “Loading Ads and then the ad comes on! I had barely unlocked the green cake at the beginning when the, like, 4th or 5th ad came on. That was the final straw, so I deleted it without regret. Maybe this game could have been better if it wasn’t just an ad machine scam.

Ads. Game is greedy. Too many ads. Swipe down to check notifications/control center? Ad. Swipe up (for less than a second even) to switch apps? Ad. There’s even ad breaks in the endless mode. Recently, bottom banner ads have also been interrupting music playing in the background. No sure way to test without paying to remove ads, but music would stop whenever bottom ad banner changed. This became too annoying for me so deleting app. If ads don’t annoy you or you want to pay to get rid of them, game is fine. Simple with nice cake designs and seasonal events. Fun but ads ruined it for me, and I don’t want to pay.

Bugs & tons of ads. While I enjoy this game, the number of bugs & ads are frustrating. At some point the game stops consistently sorting like cakes with like, causing numerous ‘orphan’ slices; it stops prompting & accessing the 5 cake hammer to clear larger areas (even when there are no moves left); and it won’t load the correct amount of coins onto your total. Reached a level and been awarded a few thousand coins? Think again! Get a few hundred at best. And want to listen to music or an audiobook while playing? Too bad again. The game consistently overrides your audio, even if an ad isn’t playing (& muted), and anytime you try to restart that audio…? It prompts another ad. Enjoy!

Great, but needs better ad spacing. Freemium games as a whole need ads, and that is acceptable for free games. However, this game shoves ads in your face every minute of gameplay for literally no reason. When you leave the app and come back, leveling up, heck there’s a literal “ad break” that pops up randomly and ruins the whole flow of the game. As a piece of constructive criticism, I’d recommend the ad breaks and such be optional, and instead board resets or board altering power ups require ads instead. This gives ads for those who wish to keep playing the same session, and one ad per loss, which is the common standard for freemium games like these.

Way too many ads!!!. Cake sort is a fun game that I wish I could give 4.5 stars but… This game should be in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most ad-packed free mobile game ever. There is some sort of ad to watch about every 20-30 seconds of the game. There is more time spent watching ads than there is playing the game. NOT AN EXAGGERATION! I know most mobile games have A LOT of ads nowadays but this one takes the CAKE with about three times as many as in the other ad-filled games I’ve played. But there is GREAT news: If you can pay $7 to get rid of the ads or if you just really love to watch ads then this game has got you covered!

No more cakes?!. Yes, I paid for no ads and the game is great! However, I didn’t know you could get to the “end” where you no longer get new cakes after gaining so many points. Now, instead of playing to earn the next new cake after gaining points, it’s now just an infinity symbol. Can they not design more cakes? There’s plenty of cute designs, but you have to pay for those. Now it’s not fun & what’s the point of playing now?! :( Also, they changed the way the cakes collect, so rather than a bunch of the remaining leftover slices collecting together into one plate, they just stay in their plates that surrounded the cake plates that disappear, if that makes sense. Super annoying. Please fix!!!!

Delightful Game. Delightful game, very easily comprehensible and simple to play. Only notes would be that ads are more frequent than I’m used to (every five or so minutes). It would also be wonderful if you were able to change your profile picture to different types of cake. Right now you can only choose non-customizable human avatars (which still doesn’t work because your picture remains the default cake even after changing it), but given that we are playing a cake game, it’d be nice to be able to also choose various cake pfps. 🍰🥮

GOOD DOWNLOAD COULD BE BETTER. I really enjoy this game it’s comforting and easy and it looks like it would be boring but it’s really not. Usually I get to a certain point and I can’t fit anything and then I just restart it but it’s just nice that it’s not working towards anything or not trying to achieve anything you’re just matching things up. My only complaint is that there are just way too many ads. I mean at one point I started the game and two seconds later there was an ad break and then this and then that and then sometimes if I just wanna collect it and not watch anything it’ll make me watch an ad anyways so that’s super frustrating

Fun game but too many ads. I get that free games make money with advertising and in-app purchases, but this game is almost unplayable with how ubiquitous the ads are…to the point where a banner ad obscures part of your cake menu and it is easier to hit the ad by mistake when trying to grab your cake piece to put on the board than it is to grab the actual gamepiece. There’s no click-it-once-then-it-goes-away-for-a-while option either. I just downloaded this because it looked fun, and the game itself isn’t bad, but I am probably going to delete it soon due to the ads.

Like the game, BUT the ads. The game is cute and fun. HOWEVER, many of the insane ads require you to hit the X at least 5x to close as new ads pop up and the x moves from right to left to trick you into clicking and opening what the ad is peddling. Game is fun but the ads ruin it. Just have one ad every so often and let me click ONE X to close not 5 as you pop up more ads. I may delete just because of the waste of time clicking 5x to close an ad as you try to trick me. And the loud screaming flashing ads give me vertigo and race my heart as the ad starts and the ad screams so loudly, it’s a flashy jarring mess.

It’s rigged. At first you can play with the occasional ad. No big deal. But the more you play, the more you get bombarded with ads. Then, when you hit a low score of 1000, the cake generator starts popping out vertical or horizontal multi-cake plates that eat up a bunch of room. Then they’re full of cakes of different types. So then you have to start buying a ton of gear to get rid of cakes. When I first started playing, it didn’t do this. Now, I’ll hit where I have to pay within 2 minutes of starting a new level. And that’s after using the “free” super hammer you get after watching an ad. What used to be a calming and fun game is now annoying beyond belief. You suckered me out of about $7. Hope you choke on it.

Ridiculous Amount of Ads. The game play is fun and I really enjoy playing however it’s nearly every time you complete a cake, it’s every time you lose. It is very nice that they give you 5 coins every ad break however the amount of ads you have to watch, and the same annoying ads over and over is a lot even for one of these “satisfying mobile games.” I plan to just delete it, it was fun for a couple days but the ads are too much, if you’re someone who would be willing to buy the ad free experience it might be worth it. Game is fun and challenging but the game to ad ratio is very disproportionate.

Unplayable. This is the single worst app I’ve ever seen. It’s an absolute scam. The ads are so intrusive and annoying and I can’t even see how to pay for them to stop (I know the feature exists but I can’t find it which is pretty funny because they probably would have gotten me). The game also, even with all sounds shut off, still plays music when you hit an add so you can’t be listening to music or anything while you play because it shuts it off. So basically what you’re getting with this app is under a minute of game play and then ad over and over. It’s pathetic and obviously a way to just collect money on the part of the developer. Again. Extremely pathetic and also terrible business. Deleting.

dont be discouraged by the reviews!!. me before downloading: cute ads, cute description... but the reviews are NOT doing it justice. not excited for all the ads, but i'll try anyways... me after: ... yall were overreacting. yeah, sure, there's a bit of ads, BUT. they're all super short and/or playable, the developers didn't put in the really annoying ones. AND! they give you coins!! they don't just pop up for no reason, they actually help. "oh! but there's just so many!!" developers gotta eat too!! it's a free game with very little (and cheap) in app purchases. how else will they make money? my advice to the developers: DON'T change your marketing strategy!! the ads that brought me to this game were fun and cute, i really enjoyed how they were playable, and the description for the game charmed me all the more. and i REALLY enjoy how there's no stressful time limit or lives!! overall a fun and pretty relaxing game!

Great for watching Advertisements. If you love watching advertisements this is the game for you! I watched so many advertisements that I almost forgot I was supposed to be playing a game. Even though this game is 12+ you will be shown advertisements that should really only been seen by adults. Considering the amount of time you must spend watching advertisements this game should really be 18+ itself. I deleted this game after watching one too many ads about tentacles and tinder. I would keep this game away from kids. The cake part itself is fun and I would have even considered buying it if I actually had a fair chance to play it. Now I will never know.

Ads are more frequent than play. I love this game but for every 30seconds I play I get to watch an ad for 30-90 seconds. if you pay to remove ads it only removes the banner at the bottom but these annoying ads after every three moves continue. I hope these guys are really rich from all these ads. I for one will never buy any of the games advertised for that very reason. I’m hunting for something similar to replace because I really like it.

Glorified Free Ad Player. This “game” is just a thinly veiled attempt to subject you to as any ads as humanly possible. You get a *minimum* of 1 ad per 60 seconds and I’m not exaggerating. It’s not optional, like watch the ad to get a boost. You’re just forced to have at least one ad every minute. Sometimes it will just straight up put a pop up ad over your game feed. Also some of them have “options” for you to not watch the ad but whenever you click no thanks it just plays the ad anyway. The movement and placement system is clunky and doesn’t work well. The graphics are aggressively mid. There’s no reason to play this game unless you want to be mad about having to spend equal amounts of time watching ads as you do playing the actual game.

Want to like game but…too many ads.. I have sampled playing this game a few times through ads on other games and sadly I got more game play time in the ad than the game. I finally decided to download the game and within the first four minutes of playing I had three ads pop up. When ad time doubles the amount of actual game play, I delete the game especially when can’t even get five full minutes without an ad to see if I even like the game first. The game might be super fun but it is a waste of my time to sit through excessive ads. I would like to be able to play a game before even paying for the ad free option as well, sadly this game must go.

They change the rules nilly willy. I love this game I really do. But why is it stuck on Halloween? And to top it why is it stuck on Halloween yet they seemed to have updated the game by changing its rules probably 25 times since I got the Halloween update in October. It was nice and a much better game when you could play the game without caring about losing randomly. There was always options the keep your progress. It used to be 50,000 points got you to the next cake. It went up to 60, then 75, now 80. To top it, it’s also made it to where if you don’t choose the hammer when you run out of space you automatically lose. You can’t choose to use your hammer, tongs, or new cakes. It’s stupid quite frankly. I have gotten a new cake in probably a month when I was getting cakes easily despite the effort. Now it’s just not possible. They don’t want you to keep getting cakes. Seems they don’t have enough ideas for pretty cakes. But somehow they have a new idea left and right on changing the rules. I’m seriously thinking of never playing this game again. Just like every other game on the market.

Holiday themes. I really enjoy this game and I don’t see ads unless I need to get a tool or something if I’m blocked and don’t have enough coins. I just wish the holiday themes and games were timed better. It finally updated to Christmas theme very late into December, but the Christmas games still say “coming soon” even though Christmas was yesterday. It would be more fun and festive if we could play Christmas theme the month prior to the actual holiday, not the month after. It was on Halloween for a long time after the holiday and there was no Thanksgiving theme either. We need more consistent updates to keep us playing to earn the holiday cakes.

I like the game, but…. I downloaded this game and immediately loved it. A few days later, I bought a 5.99 bundle that included no ads but to my surprise, you still have to watch ads to collect prizes. I’ve yet to figure out what the point of earning coins is anyway because there’s nothing to buy with them besides different borders and plates. The bundle was 5.99 yet 6.97 was taken from my account by you guys. The game play is very fun, but with all the ads, constant pressure for in-app purchases, and taking questionable amounts of money from said in-app purchases, I can’t give this game a 5 star rating. You guys are money hungry, do better.

So many ads!. I like this game a lot, but the amount of ads is insane. Anytime I leave the app to check a message or notification, when I return to the app, there’s an ad. Ads are required for the bonus tools. Then there are random ads that pop up in the middle of the game. Also, now I’m getting this annoying “pop up” (didn’t know that was possible on an iPhone) where my phone will redirect to Safari and it takes me to a scam website that tells me I have security threats on my phone. It’ll happen 15 times in an hour. It’s ridiculous.

Change title to ad sorter. Do you like ads? If you do, you’ll love this game. The developers have managed to optimize your ad viewing experience. Start the game? There’s an ad for that. Ran out of moves? There’s an ad for that. Need special item to keep playing? There’s an ad for that. Got a phone call while playing? There’s an ad. Looked away from the screen? There’s an ad for that. Farted? That’s right, there’s an ad for that. Not getting enough ads and want more? Don’t worry, there are ad breaks in the middle of game play every 40-seconds. Closed, opened, or deleted the game? There’s an ad for all that. You paid for the ad free version? No worries, you’ll still have to watch ads to get special items atop keep playing. It’s ads galore.

Many glitches. I paid for no ads, occasionally I still get forced ads. I downloaded it on my iphone too and it does not recognize I paid for no ads and I still have forced ads every other game. When you run out of spaces that fit the cakes, the game just hangs. You have no X or home buttons to get out of the session. There is no reset either. Leaving the game and reloading it also does not work. You are forced to use one of your tools to then let the game fail you to move on. What a waste of an earned tool. You can not contact support over issues because it doesn’t work either.
