4 because…. This is a pretty great app. The only things that are missing are that you can’t delete conversations or remove followers. Add those capabilities in and it would be even better :)

Calendar. I like the app but wish there was a way to subscribe or sync calendar with iPhone calendar other than clicking on individual events

Why remove the classroom chat?. I’m in a large community with several classrooms. It seems a recent update took away the ability for classroom level chat. Now comments go to the overall community chat. Everything is lost in a sea of comments. This application is a great idea but they need to rethink some of the functionality.

Best app ever. I’ve been using this app a while and I absolutely love it. It’s Awesome to interact with other captains . Nate is more than helpful and explains things one on one when needed . I 100 percent recommend this app!

Keeps crashing. I’ve deleted and reinstalled. Restarted phone etc. Wish I could use it, just goes to a blank screen now after I sign in. :(

Can't play video full screen, UI similar to web version. Very similar to web version and can't even play video full screen

Not Compatible with Ipad. Can’t watch videos on my ipad because screen does not adjust to ipad size

Navigation needs work, windowed view. We need a windowed video player so that the app doesn’t hold us hostage while playing content. Also, navigating is poorly done, very hard to “go back”

Extremely buggy. Can’t even watch courses without the videos automatically restarting. Can’t skip without the app crashing. The overall idea is great but they need better functionality to give a good experience on the app. I’ve spent $1,000’s on courses and can’t watch a 1 hour course without it crashing every 5 minutes.

Text is way too large. The font size and line height and spacing between elements does not need to be this big. Every single post in the community tab takes up so much space on the screen because of this. Compared to Discord, scanning through dozens of posts is painful and clunky. Also, why do posts to community need a title?

Excellent App. I really enjoy this app that I discovered when I stumbled across an ad featuring Marvin Francois of Takeoff University-TU. Glitches in the app. The app is stuck one community every time I load the app please fix

App Now. The app now works very well for a program of this caliber. Has all of the features of the website and very little bugs or issues working with mobile now. It used too but they have fixed all of the issues. Not to mention school is an incredible platform.

Loading issue. App does not load as soon as you enter it. Just takes you to a blank white screen

Helped me start my business. I started my community and monetised it with social media from 0. App is good I like it) there is a lot of different communities about everything!

COMPLETE TRASH!. If I could give it a negative star I would. I have lost so much productivity trying to use this app for a group I paid for and joined. In a world where ease of use is the norm this app is the opposite of that.

Unable to cancel. Do not download. Even if you excel in this you will not be able to cancel the subscription and will get charge $100 a month

No complaints!. I see no problem with this app it is easy to use and everything seems pretty clear thanks!

Notifications. There’s no sound notifications and I dont get notifications at all anymore unless I open the app to see them

Doesn’t work on iPads. When you download the application and you try to use it in your iPad. It does not function well. The screen is only suitable for your phone but not the iPad. I will change my review once updated. Thank you!

No OAuth logon. I can’t login with my Google and when I try to use this the site in the browser it makes me download the app. So I literally cannot use the platform on mobile. Thanks guys. Good thinking.

Badges. Good app overall. Please fix the issue with badge notifications. They do not update properly, usually I have to turn off badges for the app entirely, then turn them back on for it to work.

Dark mode. Please give the option to put the app in dark mode. Everything else in my phone is dark mode and then there’s this.

Love the platform, believe in Sam Ovens!. Any great product has a great visionary behind it, and Sam is definitely one! Been following him since 2018 and thankful for everything he does for the industry. So far no complaints and very happy with the experience! The future is bright!

Cannot Stop Subscption. Did the Free trial for a week and thought I cancelled it I’ve been charged $100 twice now and can’t get my money back absolutely terrible.

Slow in the chat function. I don’t know if it’s just me, but when chatting or replying the Skool community - it is extremely slow - like a minute to load the thread and 15-30 seconds to be able to actually start typing a reply. Something is off there. Everything else is great!

Glitchy. Many times the videos will not work m. You click on them and then it goes white as if it crashes while loading. This is pretty frustrating as it’s making it hard to use the app, especially since it’s becoming more frequent.

NOTIFICATIONS. I've tried everything, and the notifications never make any sound.

Adonis Gang. Hamza brought me to school with Adonis Gang (the largest skool community), and I found out there are so many other col communities now! Thank you Sam Ovens for building this amazing platform.

Kicked out of group. I was kicked out of a 100$ per month group within the first 2 days for “hate speech.” I then kindly asked customer support for a refund and they said they are looking into it. I have reached out twice since then and got no response. It has now been over a month no refund.

Regularly Logs Users Out. The app logs users out about every week or two. So, just about every time I go to use the app, I have to log back in. Because I use strong passwords, that means having to sit down at my computer and manually type in the password to use the app. At that point, I might as well just use Skool from my computer. Because of how this junks up workflow, I consider the app basically useless. Hey devs, how about not logging users out constantly, what do ya think, uh?

Can’t use. It won’t let me make an account. It takes me to the login screen but doesn’t let me make an account? I saw another review with this problem but I’m still confused about why you wouldn’t have that option for new users like me.

Same as the website. The app holds essentially all the features the website does from what I can tell. I don’t know why the app doesn’t have more reviews especially since the website is so popular.

You will be charged $99 every month no matter how hard you try to cancel. I joined this app 5-6 months ago, and after first month I realized it’s not for me. Well at this point I am still getting charged monthly and they make it impossible to cancel. I will be filing subscription fraud through my bank. Think twice before you join. It’s all a giant pyramid scheme. You only get paid by sucking others into it. It’s a class action lawsuit waiting to happen

Just downloaded 3x. Just download it and it won’t let me create an account. It’s just stuck on the login page if I tap forgot password it won’t let me back out of there either. Maybe it’s a bug but it needs to be fixed

in theory great. in practice… it needs work. In theory its great. in practice its slow as molasses, sometimes doesnt load at all, and navigating around in the app is really cumbersome. BUT points where due: its nice having a mobile app to access content on the go. it just needs work

I’m confused. Why can’t I watch videos in full screen anymore all of of a sudden?? I can’t even read what’s playing on video…

Awful. This app is poorly designed and lacks basic features, like the ability to save posts, and the search function is terrible. And who uses Facebook style feeds anymore for chats? There’s a reason slack is so popular. Even after the latest update, watching videos on the app is incredibly frustrating. If you try to watch a video in full screen, the screen turns black. When you pause and try to resume, you lose your place in the video. If you try again, the audio plays, but the video remains paused. If you need to leave the app quickly to take a call, when you return, all you get is a blank white screen.

Old reviews no longer accurate. The bugs referred to in the old bad reviews have been resolved. No issues with performance and everything is neatly organized. Maintains all functions of the desktop version which is rare for a CRM.

iPhone app works great!. Sokol has a ton of potential. Looking forward to seeing how well we can get it to perform for my startup.

Works great!. They just recently released this app, and I figured that as with any first release, it would have plenty of bugs and missing functionality. To my surprise, it actually works incredibly well and has almost all functionality of the website. Well done!

Can’t login/Buggy. I made an account and it logged me out. When I tried to log back in it said “account email not found” Tried different emails and reset my password using the original email that I made it with and it LET me reset my password. Super buggy going to delete after an hour of getting it. Don’t waste your time

Buggy. Besides being difficult to navigate and understand the app is horribly buggy. Right now I’m having an issue with the lessons I paid for playing through to the end. They stop playing when the phone screen sleeps or the app is backgrounded. Also I just tried to join a community and the join page was stuck. Wouldn’t respond at all. I won’t go through what I did to finally get out of it but it surely should not have been allowed. The app is crap.

Will take your money without permission. Stop taking money from my account. I have deleted my account and money is still coming out. I never even signed up I just had the free trial which I ended…. Or thought I ended before time was up yet 3 weeks later and there are 3 charges on my bank statement for 3 different amounts. Wtf!!! Think twice before trusting this app! Just after your money.

Chrissy Cutts. I was looking for a platform to host my community on and found Skool as a beginner the easiest to learn and build my community on. Other platforms I trialled even followed YouTube tutorials on were confusing so I figured if it’s confusing for me it might be confusing for my community members. You want something that’s easy and simple. Skool is that. If ever my members run into an issue. I’m able to jump on a call and run them through how to fix it. Definitely worth the try. This is your sign.

Good app but runs very slowly. The app and concept is fantastic! However the loading speeds especially for some of the videos can be dreadful. Overall design could do with some work as well. Very good platform! Lacks some key features of other modern apps

Brilliant App. I recently started using skool and I’ve absolutely loved it so far. One feature I would suggest adding in a future update would be the ability to save posts. Sometimes people in my community create posts that I would love to easily refer back to but it’s a little clunky to get back to the post. A save feature would easily fix this. Cheers!

Pretty good apart from video. App is nice, but the video upload is frustratingly poor. It basically never works from mobile.

First $ made in a month!. I learned about Skool through Alex Harmozi, and when I tried it with the 14-day free trial, and made my first dollar. Not just $1 but $46. Love the work that they do here, and the mission. Try it out. See you guys in there!

Unauthorised payments. I just got billed $150… even while my subscription wasn’t active and never gave them my card this is not this first time this has happened

Misleading and unfair – worst customer service ever. I signed up for a 7-day trial and was charged AUD 88. I cancelled my subscription within 15 minutes of the charge (I have the official cancellation email as proof) and immediately contacted the admin for a refund. Instead of helping, the admin ignored my messages for over a day, then refused to refund, hiding behind “policy.” Skool support also pushed the responsibility back to the admin, leaving users without any real protection. This is completely misleading and feels like a trap for users. I acted in good faith, yet I was denied a refund despite clear evidence. Other platforms like Apple or Google refund immediately when customers cancel right after being charged. Skool’s handling of this is unacceptable, unprofessional, and damages user trust. ⚠️ I strongly warn others: think twice before trusting this platform.

Great idea, but holy bugs 🪲 Batman!. The Skool communities are such a great idea, and there’s some amazing creators on here. The app is sooooo buggy though, oh my! It freezes, I can’t post replies half the time, I’ve had to restart it a handful of times just to get things moving again. Lots of potential!

Not optimized for the iPad. This is just an iPhone app. No Improvement was made for the iPad. Very disappointing to use on larger screens and should not be allowed to be downloaded on this device.

Microphone permission. App continue to use the microphone even when you mute the microphone in the app. Big privacy issue that should be addressed urgently.

Best App To Start A Business. If you are new to online business this app is THE BEST. The culture and community are amazing so it feels like you have all the support you need to get started, even if you are new to business. I managed to make my first dollar online here about a year ago and now I’m making 2.5k/month which is great for me. It’s been life changing! :) Of course, it takes effort though!! Settings. Would be nice to have a version with adjustable display settings. It’s too small to read dealer stuff.

Bills without notice. Just noticed a blocked billing attempt on my bank account today. Once yo sign up you’re sent… nothing… in hopes you will forget and not notice the $9/ mo. The app itself is buggy and unintuitive as hell. You can in fact not remove your billing method on file or find where to cancel your subscription, which is absurd.

Video issues. Its good. I’m learning a lot but when I’m playing the videos, it stops and I have to reload the app or reload the browser tab

Developers of this app need a wake-up call.. I’m sorry whoever approved this app to go public should be fired. For such a growing platform, when we live in 2024 and most access it through their phones, this app is slow, really really laggy and feels absolutely painful to use sometimes. You’re giving people poor UX and expecting them to stay on long subscriptions? The two star is for the simplicity of the overall design, but it needs to be more functional.

Unacceptable. Absolutely unacceptable. I can’t even remove my payments plan I should pay forever they just blocked the options to remove the monthly plan, So that means you should pay forever.

The app and community are great!. If you have an online business, you need Skool. The app works fine. Not sure why these other reviews are so negative (competitors maybe 😉)

Accessibility improvement. Just wondering if you guys can improve the accessibility of the app and the website I’m visually impaired and I can’t use the app properly with a voiceover and with NVDA and jaws on Windows. It’s inaccessible please fix the app and website and make it accessible so people who are blind or visually impaired, can also use this app and website for their courses.

No back button?. How obnoxious is it that navigating through the leaderboard and clicking a persons profile means there is no back button and you have to go back home and start again. Simple things matter.

Unsubscribe Compliance. Developer Must delete users email notification after unsubscribe option selected. I have unsubscribed emails but still getting marketing emails. Know that you can face serious consequences by not compliance of user privacy.

Best platform I’ve used daily for years. Life changing. I’ve been using Skool every single day for two years straight, and it’s honestly changed my life. This isn’t just a platform. I’ve built real friendships, connected with mentors, and met incredible people both online and in person. The community aspect is on another level. I’ve also been to their in-person events, and the people behind it are just as solid as the product itself. You can tell they actually care about what they’re building and the people using it. Over the past two years, I’ve seen constant improvement. The platform keeps getting better, and it’s clear they put a lot of effort into making it the best product possible while keeping it affordable for as many people as they can. If you’re serious about learning, building, or being around the right people, this is the place to be. Easy five stars.

I own a Skool group and…. Skool is the second easiest way to make money online. They have built in gamification so members actually participate and it is a thriving platform. And it is a one stop shop for everything you need to run an online business. The only thing that’s missing is dark mode.

Stickiest Community Platform. There’s no community platform that’s as fun, engaging and tight-knit as Skool. As someone who’s used every community platform under the sun, Skool makes it simple, intuitive and easy without a ton of cumbersome setup. Can’t recommend it enough.

Chat. Great app! So many good things and a wonderful way to connect with people. However 1/5 stars because chat is broken (UX) and that isn’t acceptable. Once you fix I will update my rice to 5/5 Currently chat looses the top bar so navigation breaks completely. Hopefully it’s an easy fix. Also, apologies for the direct message. Hope you don’t take it personally :)

Can be buggy and No Fullscreen playback. I’ve been using this for sometime now and most of my experiences on iOS have been met with several issues and it’s very frustrating. Recently the app stopped playing videos back in FS (fullscreen) which if you’re watching on an iPhone makes it near impossible to watch or enjoy any videos. If I had a list of priorities this would make it to the top - (7/31/24) When loading videos I often find either videos won’t load. They start playing in black (can hear the audio) or sometimes you have to refresh the page the video is on several times before it plays back correctly. One thing I don’t like is how if you touch the video it automatically pauses. I know several players do this especially on iOS devices however I prefer ones that show the play / pause icon so that you have to hit it again before it pauses and doesn’t immediately stop the video. That’s super annoying when you just want to see how much longer a video is or you want access to other features on the video player. Another issue is that every video starts at 1.2x speed. Why it’s defaulting to that IDK, but just another issue that should be addressed because it’s distracting seeing someone talk out of sync. There also doesn’t seem to be a way to reach out to the developers of the app unless you’re one of their creators using the app. I get the reasoning behind this but when there’s an actual issue that means you have one of two choices and what I’m doing here is the other choice. With all that said, if you’re not playing back any videos then I’d say the app works great, but being that this app is being pushed as a teaching/classroom app that’s not going to work in this day and age.
