Nehedar!. I love this app! I especially like being able to slow down the Hebrew words a little. Even the free version offers enough variety to keep me from being bored, and the full version has a staggering amount of information. Definitely recommend. Am now saving for a trip to Israel. Nehedar!

Learning the language of the King of Jews. I felt bad for my sins so I decided to study Hebrew this winter. Also, one of my favorite actresses is concerned about the political health of Israel so I needed an app that translates to English pronunciation as the Hebrew writing seems impossible to learn. I recommend this product as it is good and basic for the curious. Hopefully I can learn all these words by spring. Peace and love, BLS.

Great but. I wish we could or the creators could add more content and words to the vocabulary. For $12 dollars plus the tax. The app doesn’t have more then 1400 words, there are some other words that I've been trying to learn and this app doesn’t have it so i have to go to other apps to learn from. Please make a way for us to manually add words to the queue or make updates to the app so we can download new words. Thanks

Learning Hebrew. I thoroughly enjoy this learning app however I do wish the biblical words were included like God for example isn’t or any religious words that I’ve found. I primarily use this so I can read the Torah and other text so that part is my only issue.

Very helpful. This app is very helpful for those who are self motivated to learn Hebrew. I will add however that this alone will not be effective unless you add this to an arsenal of resources to learn from. I am a cutter self taught Hebrew learner. I have been learning about one year but have made exposure to the language my main key followed by various resources of which this app is helpful. The main use of the app is for either introduction to new words as well as a refresher on words you have learned so as to not forget them. What I am looking for now is an app that can introduce basic Hebrew grammar as well.

I love this application!. This is a great application to learn Hebrew. I say this is arguably the best free application to learn Hebrew today. It automatically picks up from your progress, it started voice recording to compare my pronunciation vs. the tool. It provides new words every day. It definitely helped me to learn Hebrew! I love this application.

Ideal. This has taught me so quickly. Every facet of learning a language is in this app. Everything you could possibly want is there if you explore it. It’s amazing. Not sure why, but after the iOS 10 update the voice went from a lovely woman to the speak and spell guy, which I can’t stand.

Incredibly useful but lacks personalization possibilities. This app is so useful and amazing. I love being able to both hear the prononciation and see the spelling of new words. I also love the categories. However, would it be possible to add the option to add new words that we came across outside the app but would like to memorize? Thank you!

I can’t believe how fast I’m learning. I thought I had given up on ever learning a second language but after seeing how quickly I learned the words and phrases that came with the free version. This simple/effective app makes learning feel so easy. I’ve already encouraged my siblings and parents to download it and now my daughters want it too because of how impressed they are with my Hebrew! Very thankful I found this app!

Good start, hindered by a bug after some progress. The good: it has a variety of tools to learn from listening, writing, and reading. It also let's you set a pace to learn at, with a variety of good free options to start with before you can pay. The bad: the app has a bug after you have unlocked about 20-30 words where it begins freezing up in practice around the 7th word. You have to force close the app after every 7th word or uninstall the app. And if you uninstall the app you lose all of your progress, there's no saving to their service or to iCloud. Also the speaking checks could be more fleshed out.

There is no better Hebrew App!. I’m not much for words, and I rarely write reviews, but this app is well thought out and built. The native Hebrew speaker on this app is amazing. The content is so “in-depth” compared to 99% of the apps out there. In fact, I haven’t come across any app that can come close to comparing. Well worth every penny spent!

Amazing!!. After trying many different apps to learn Hebrew this has been the best I’ve found! I love that you can customize how many times a week, when, and how many words you want to learn a day. 10/10!! Two thumbs up!! Not bad. Well at first I thought I wouldn't learn anything in this app but I'm impressed that's why I went out of my way to give it five stars rating I love the way it shows the flashcards with the Hebrew translation and the English translation. With this app I basically learned like 20 words in 10 minutes wow.

Very helpful language app. The app reminds me daily and allows me to choose how many new words I want to learn. It displays the Hebrew & the English equivalent, pronouncing each. I can "open" each word tile as I choose, or select player where a new word is given and I respond with what I think is the correct pronunciation or transliteration. I can spend a little time or continue until I have mastered the new vocabulary.

Don't waste your money on this product. So when I first tried this product I thought it was really good. The woman would speak the English and then the gentleman would speak to Hebrew so it was a good way to learn I've been spent 10 bucks to buy the full version, and again I was happy with the results.. For a couple weeks that is Today, for some unknown reason it switched and you can't switch it back so the Hebrew is spoken first and then the English. This is really good if you are fluent in Hebrew and want to learn English but if you already know English and are trying to learn Hebrew it's a total waste Making matters worse, I contacted customer service and the response I got was silence... So, if you're even remotely considering buying this product save your money there are better alternatives out there

My go to for learning vocabulary. I prefer to put in a lot of hours listening and repeating to learn vocabulary. This app is perfect for me. I listen in my car or while working. There is a glitch where the audio starts to stuttered every so often where I have to force quit and restart. Happens maybe once per hour but other than that, it’s great. (That’s why four stars and not five) You can also change up the pace of the audio which is great.

Helps make astonishing progress to learn Hebrew. This app has helped me learn quickly. I recommend this app to people who want to speak Hebrew. I adore how it does not constantly give you adds. 😁This app is exact to what it was described in the preview. I am learning fast! Great!. I love it. There is a glitch with the word 'there' though. It would pronounce it when I first tap on it, but not after that and it would lock the screen every time I did tap it. That was my only complaint though. All in all- it is a great app for learning Hebrew!

Free version for beginners only. The free version of this app would be amazing if I were learning Hebrew from nothing for the first time. But outside of your basic “hello” “goodbye” “yes” “no” “excuse me” phrases it’s not helpful at all. Perhaps the paid version would be better but I personally wouldn’t invest in it based off how useless the free version has been. I imagine most people wanting to learn Hebrew would already have a basic background in it so maybe include some additional vocab words such as fruits or colors, etc, in the free version.

Like the app but. First really enjoy this app and it's nice performing drills to keep my vocabulary keen. They haven't updated the app in 2 years and there's some very minor bugs. Otherwise the programming is overall fine. If they do update the app, my desire is for them to expand the vocabulary and add 2,000 more words & expressions. Some slang or profanity might be an amusing suggestion. Also some reading exercises, maybe some paragraphs or short stories in Hebrew. Depending how much they expand the app. I would be willing to spend the upgrade cost.

Super... CouIdn't be happier! I purchased this awhile back, updated and still love it.. its a very easy to use app with no privacy issues or concerns.. very SAFE, even the voice playback is not kept permanently! The price was right, not too much & it lets you search through your word list. I have downloaded all the vocabulary & use it along with other learning resources. I have used it on iPhone and Samsung.. never had a problem.

The Ultimate App - One Glitch to Fix. I am crazy about this app! It offers sooo many versatile options. It has been helping me so much with Hebrew. It is the very first, and the most important app I recommend to my friends learning a language. The only thing that needs to be fixed, and I have seen some others comment on this as well, is the search option. When I go to search for a new word (especially in Hebrew Characters) it often will freeze. This is so scary because I have saved all of my information in the app, and it would take forever to save it again if I have to re-download it. Other than that- 5 incredible stars for sure!!! (BUT PLEASE FIX THAT PROBLEM... pleeeeaaase.) :)

Grateful !. This is GOD’S gift to me! It’s not hard to me. I have problems remembering them. But I’m just starting. I’ll remember them the more I say them. I’m gonna write them so I can look at them and study like a test. I give the honor and glory to GOD! The reason I want to learn Hebrew is to pray to GOD. I’m trying to get a closer relationship with JESUS!!!!!!!

Trying to learn for my Girlfriend. Honestly, this isn’t a bad free app. It’s search features and daily words are handy. I ended up buying the full version and I have definitely got better with words and phrases. Plus it has good playback features to see if you are saying words correctly. But if you’re trying to learn it to speak fluently I would suggest taking a course. Because my girlfriend constantly corrects me for gender pronunciation. Now if you are like me and just starting out, or just want basic words to say on a visit, this is pretty good.

Awesome, until.... I used this app successfully for months, then it stopped working. It opens but as soon as I try to press play it crashes. Tried offloading and reloading, tried soft reset on iPhone, nothing fixes the issue. I also tried emailing support with no response, and yes I checked my spam folder. I’m sure if I delete the app, and all the data, it would probably work again after installing from scratch. If I have to do that, then I might as well start with a new app that I can trust not to lose my progress.

So Great. I’ve done some basic Hebrew before, but needed a review to come back into it. It’s not an easy language, but the Nemo app is great. I feel comfortable in returning to the language and the app lets you move at your own pace. It’s more of a game than a hard core teaching like some programs. You learn a lot, but you’re not intimidated. Really enjoyable!

Great App - But Fatally Flawed. I absolutely love this app, and it has greatly improved my Hebrew. I find myself wasting less time on social media, and more time studying language. That said, I have had problems with a recurring glitch, across two different versions of iOS. Sometimes, when imputing Hebrew characters into the search tool, the app will freeze and the screen will be stuck on the “Preparing…” message. Once this is done, the app completely loses responsiveness, and must be quit and reopened. However, even after reopening, the search feature remains frozen. The other areas of the app are accessible, but if you tap on the search feature, the “preparing” screen will again appear, and the original characters you entered will remain frozen in the search bar. It again loses responsiveness, and must again be quit and reopened. Here’s the kiss of death: in order to fix the problem, you must completely uninstall and reinstall the app. Then, you must reinstall your premium package and re-download everything. All of your highly personalized user data is lost, and you must rebuild your progress in the app from square one. This is extremely inconvenient and time consuming, and has happened not one, not two, but three times! Again, I love the app itself, but I can’t stand this bug! Without the bug, it would be a hands-down 5 stars, however, I must reluctantly reward it 3 stars until fixed.

Amazing! Although has glitches. Although this app does lock up and you have to close and reopen to get it started again I still feel it's the best app I've used and the one that has taught me the most. It is great because you can start learning the language without knowing the Hebrew alphabet first. Plus it's the only app I have found that calls out words to me so I can use while driving. Excellent features!!

Favorite App Until...... Wow! This is an awesome app! The first day I used it I learned so many new words. The second day I used it, it was fine until the words in the player stopped and the app froze. Now after every 7 words the app freezes and I can't get back on. It is a shame because I totally love this app and I totally would have given 5 stars if not for this small bug. I don't really know if it is because I have the iPad 2 or some other reason but, please fix this! Thanks!

This App is great. The only difficulty I have isn't with the App, it's with me. I'm 76 and am finding that being able to remember what is being taught. I really do want to learn Hebrew, but it's very hard for me to retain what I've went over many, many times. The brain is not picking it up much at all.

The Best. I've tried other programs but this one has been most effective. I use it often and because there are so many options for learning available on it, from speaking to reading, I find I'm happily studying for longer than I intended to! It's great. Can't wait to try the other languages too!

THANK YOU. I keep finding more things this app can do. Recently discovered that it will play my pronunciation along side an accurate one for comparison. Very helpful! Being a much older adult, doing things on computers doesn't come easy but this beautifully designed app makes it pretty darn easy yet supplies you with plenty of material and ways learn it. I even like the little reminders that pop up once every few days to remind and encourage me to keep going.

Great app with one glitch. Great for vocabulary review, but when the Hebrew voice reads a word to you, it will very quickly start reading the wrong word. It seems like once the word is revealed, if you touch the word to hear it again, it reads something different, and from then on the word on screen and the word being read are different.

It's good, but.... This app is very good for anyone beginning to learn Hebrew. I would recommend this app to get started but not to learn the language. Through out the months I've been watching videos of native Israelis and other Hebrew speakers. One thing that I've learned about this app is that not every translation is quite accurate. If you want to learn the language then I'd personally recommend duolingo or rosetta stone. Although, I would have to say that if it wasn't for this app I wouldn't be where I'm at now.

Great for beginners. This app is progressive. It is great for introducing new words slowly. I appreciate the vocalization and ability to control pronunciation speech. The categories are logical, and the words are useful. Common phrases are also included. There is a lot offered in the free version, and no ads to interrupt. I purchased the full version because it is such a great app. There are several different tools, and they are customizable. You can choose which words to review and how often. I like the options to adjust the player speed and pause length.

Buggy app. Update: Problem fixed! This app used to be 5 stars for me however all my Nemo apps began acting buggy. The voice doesn’t read the English words at all and cuts out the beginning of the language that I’m trying to learn. I restarted my phone, updated my phone, deleted and reinstalled just one Nemo app, and the problem still persists. I’m not sure if the problem is Nemo’s fault or Apple’s but I’m really bummed to have to permanently delete my language apps by Nemo. If you guys figure out what’s wrong, let me know so I can use the app again.

Great audio learning on the go. I love to let it play and go for a run or do yard work vs having to read or actively interact with the app. Probably would be ideal with another learning resource for dedicated study sessions. Also love how it gradually mixed in new words and phrases while diminishing those it figures you’ve mastered — though you can select any you wish to bump back to frequent status. Couple of quibbles. The session stops after about 5 minutes. You can just restart it but that’s a pain while running and I wish there was a setting to adjust the length of sessions. Also a lot of phrases don’t lend themselves to literal translation word for word and I wish I could see that — what each word in a phrase means on its own. It would be another way to better remember the phrase and accelerate vocabulary learning. Finally it seems to lack any grammar teaching. But if you want an easy (and I free) way to lean Hebrew via audio, this app is it.

Tov!. This app does everything it says in the description and more! I wasn't sure about learning a new language from a device & app. It's very easy to use! The lesson tools and options help in a variety of learning and teaching styles so just about anyone can learn easily. I am more than pleased!

Excellent Hebrew app. I have been using the upgraded version for 3 weeks during the 6 hours of driving I have each week. I am amazed how quickly I am learning Hebrew with this app. It has multiple settings that helps to hear, say and recognize words and phrases. The repetition is timed well and there is a setting so that the English, Hebrew and written word is available at the same time. Also, the selection of words and phrases is perfect for conversational use.

NEEDS UPDATE DESPERATELY. I want to give this app 5 stars because it has improved my Hebrew tremendously in just a short period of time. I use it almost every day. Unfortunately the app has barely been functioning ever since I downloaded iOS 11. It crashes frequently and the search function does not work at all and causes the screen to freeze. A suggestion for future updates is making an option to personalize the order of the queue and create custom lists of words. Other than that I love the app and think it is the perfect tool to study language!

Couldn’t ask for better. I am enjoying this app very much. I love that you can adjust the tempo and number of words / phrases. I’m able to change it according to the level of attention and mastery I have. Terrific.

Rock Solid Hebrew App. This app is the best one that I’ve tried. You hear the word in Hebrew with transliteration and the translation. You control how many words to learn daily and the speed of the speaker. You can also test yourself to really nail the vocabulary down. I was so impressed with the free app, I also bought the full version.

Best Jump Right In App. I have been an avid user of this app over the past 2 years and I can happily say that my Hebrew has TREMENDOUSLY improved using this app simultaneously with Duolingo (for grammar rules). One particularly useful section of the app is the ability to record and compare your own accent to a native speaker. While it might seem ridiculous initially, I was shocked to discover that with each day my pronunciation got better and better. I highly recommend this app, and if you enjoy the first 100 words/phrases, paying $10 to permanently unlock the rest is an absolute steal of a bargain. Thank you so much for creating such a masterpiece and well designed app :)

It’s Okay.... I like everything about this app but one thing. When I go to the search button it never gets the word I want. For example, when I type in don’t it said everything BUT the word don’t. It has things like, I don’t understand, I don’t know how, I don’t like it. But it doesn’t have JUST don’t. That is why this app is 4 stars.

Great app. Add night mode ability!!! You need to add an ability for typing the word. Just using flash cards is not good enough to really master a language. You need to experience the words in different ways. Way better than duolingo! Ive only used the free version of the app but i plan on getting the premium after I learn all of the free stuff. The only thing i would add is to allow you to specify your confidence on a word.

The Best. This Hebrew learning program is THE BEST. It helps you with basic words and works closely with your pace and progress as you increase learning. You can work as fast and as slow as you want. Really, I love it! I am learning quickly. I would like for the AppMasters of this program to add a Translation/Dictionary portion so we can add words and phrases of our choice to learn even more deeper at our own pace. Thanks a bunch, you guys are GREAT!!!

Learn Hebrew affordably!!. So far I m highly impressed with how much I'm learning with just this little app. I contemplated getting Rosetta Stone but it's so expensive and I can only commit to a few min a day so I figured I'd give this a shot first and it is giving me everything I need for only $10! I'm sure at some point I'll have to upgrade if I want to really become fluent, but for now I just want to learn conversational Hebrew and this definitely makes the cut.

Oh I just love it.. I love this app, it helps me out a lot with my Hebrew. I learned it when I was a child for my Bar Mitzvah but I didn’t live in an area where there were many other Jewish kids to speak Hebrew with to keep it in my memory past 17 18 years old. I’ve wanted to relearn Hebrew again before I take a trip to Israel 🇮🇱.

Nehedar - Awesome!. Less than a month and I speak over 100 words/phrases. Easy to use and the words quicken in my spirit and come alive as I speak them out loud. Thank for creating this app for it has bought me closer to my LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST. As an African American I never dreamt that I could speak the language of my GOD, but you have made it possible. Helpful. This app is very helpful and effective. I can now small talk with my husband speaking Ivrit! :p however whenever the word for "there" comes on, the app freezes entirely and I cannot continue and progress. Pls fix it!

Nemo Hebrew. I have tried many AIDS to help me learn vocabulary - some good and some not. As long as you realize that learning individual words is only a very small part of strategies for learning a language then this is a great little app. I like it that tje words are large enough to read easily - so many others have minuscule letters. And you can rate the words for hot (need to practice) and cold (don't need to) and grades in between. The ability to listen to experts and then record your own pronunciation is fantastic. I would have liked to see a score setup so I could rate myself. I do love the daily package and I can add or subtract words to suit my situation. So rating? 9/10. Thanks Nemo.

Memo Hebrew app.. Excellent language resource, self paced, can do it all offline. Clear captions in Hebrew, English and transliterated form, with equally clear voice giving the pronunciation. Can also change the speed at which new words are introduced, plenty of reviewing to get it into long term memory, or set it on fastest intro of words if familiar with material. The best of the bunch

Useful tool for working up vocabulary. I find the daily words feature really useful - hardly any work at all but over weeks & months you realise how far you have come along with just a few words each day.

Mr. FrumMontreal. The material is very helpful and the method good, but since the installation of the full version the program freezes causing disruption and makes it impossible to have a a smooth continuity.

Great accent. All the other apps I found had terrible pronunciation. This is what sets this apart. Only thing that would make it perfect is being able to pick your own words that get introduced, not relying on defaults. Excellent options for learning including English prompt, Hebrew prompt, written only prompt, voice recordings of your voice to compare and correct.

Excellent method. Love the method, I'm learning quickly but it's only very basic words unless you're willing to purchase upgrades

Excellent app for learning Hebrew. I have downloaded several apps but this one is my favourite. It helps with lots of things - developing useful vocabulary (with repetition you get them eventually!) but also you can practice reading and understanding the letters. Lots of flexibility in what they show (with or without vowels, different styles of writing though not script, that would be a great addition), speed, pauses, etc. Highly recommended!

More words. I got the app and I thought it was for free because that is what it said but really you only get 106 words for free but the rest you have to pay for! Wish I could get more words for free. And the app also puts in one word a while after the next.

Great study tool!. I love this app! It is great for vocabulary study. However, you will not be able to learn anything about grammar or sentence structure with it at all. I recommend it for anyone with no Hebrew experience or anyone who wants to broaden their Hebrew vocabulary.

Excellent!. I’m trying to learn Hebrew because I’m going to move to Israel. This is one of the best apps to do that with. It forces me to learn new words on the days and time that I want it to occur. It’s amazing how much I’m learning. I would highly recommend it!!

Little by little one step at a time. I love this. Absolutely helps me to learn and memorize Hebrew. I finally memorized the Aleph Bet. Just by spending 15-20 mins a day. Now I am learning and memorizing word and phrases. This is great for a beginner!!!!

Top notch. As far as learning apps go for languages this one is worth the unlock cost of $9.99. The voice is clear to learn pronunciations and the app itself is quite user friendly. Really quite happy with my purchase it's helpful to use in conjunction with my Ulpan course.

Very useful for basic Hebrew! Absolutely amazed at how well done this app is!. There is no substitute for putting in the time to learn a language. That's why having an app like this as a constant companion via one's smartphone makes putting in the time that much easier.

The best program. Important words are introduced slowly and methodically. I am a language teacher and know that the student should not be overwhelmed. This program allows you to acquire the vocabulary slowly ! Love it!!!!

Extremely helpful. Wonderful app! I am learning Hebrew and this app has been a delight to have. The audio is clear and concise. Pronunciation is easy to hear. I love the microphone option of recording yourself and comparing the pronunciation to that of the audio.

Audio Playback is the best aspect of this app. This is a highly decent app for an introduction to the Hebrew language. The audio playback of your spoken words really helps to fine tune pronunciation. Now I just have to memorize everything.

Hebrew by NEMO. I really like this app. It is helping quite a bit. I take Hebrew classes but I have no one to regularly talk with. This helps so much with my vocabulary and pronunciation. I have recommended it quite a bit in my classes.

Hebrew study breaks. This is a great app for taking a break throughout the day and checking in with Hebrew. I haven't used it to study the language in depth but it's helping me to become more familiar with pronunciation and associating letters with their sounds.

Nemo. This is a fantastic app! I am learning Hebrew and this tool is making it easy and fun! And I know that I am getting the correct pronunciation. Love that I can slow it down & repeat until I get it right!

This is an awesome Hebrew Teacher. I am taking Hebrew and with this program it may not be the same words I’m learning in class. But it helps get me into the mindset when preparing to study.

Very helpful. I love that it does ask you to answer questions. You can listen to this while doing other things and works very well. No adds which is a definite plus.

Learning Hebrew. I like the fact that there is an app that offers the Hebrew language! Second, I like the slide show that allows both English and Hebrew to be visually displayed and heard by audio; it's a privilege to have the tools to learn a beautiful language.

It's Good. The user interface is pleasing and simple. The are a lot of options to change fonts styles, add/remove vowels, sounds, and volume of words you're learning. I am still a beginner and have only used he lite version but I would recommend it for learning new words.

Great and Easy App to learn Hebrew. I am 31 y/o, African-American and I'm fluent in English & Spanish (was extremely hard 2 learn). I absolutely love this Hebrew app on my IPhone. Its easy to learn & pronounce. I am happy to be speaking Hebrew in my everyday life cause it feels amazing speaking Christ language.

Hello from Ahuvah. I love this app. It encourages me to attune my ear (understanding) as well as my speaking. I would like more sentences to hear the individual words in context. I would also like more similar words read in sequence, for example, lost--found--hot and cold--all the seasons together, etc.

Good app, would love more features. This is an easy to use app and great for learning vocabulary and some useful phrases. I wish it had female gender pronunciation for phrases and not just male, or the ability to choose one or the other. Additional phrase upgrades would be great to add on.

Great app. This is a great app hands down but I have recently begun experiencing a bug where it the app will just stop working suddenly after about a dozen words. This is new and I had no issues for probably the first month I had it but they DO need to fix this issue.

Great app. Great app if you stay consistent with it. Gives you the language writing but also the English writing of that language to help you sound it out. Overall great app and is helping me learn Hebrew before traveling to Israel.

Repetition. Practice makes perfect but with repetition it becomes second nature, I find this very helpful to brush up on things that I forget, as well as to look over the spelling and brush up on that really a very useful learning app and for free it’s the best you’ll find

I am actually learning!. I cannot see what I am typing here.. on this review page.. but, this app is simple to use and easy to understand. No pressure, no hounding notifications.. I love the call and response flash cards that say it as I see it and reveal it as I need it.

Great App but Needs Fixes. The Nemo has plenty of words and is well laid out, but I’m having the same problems as others. When you go to review the flash cards, it keeps showing you the same four words.

Love the app but still not organized enough to use it to the full yet. I have high hopes to use the app more in the future after the CV stress is better in the US
