Helt fantastisk!. Extremely logically laid out, visually appealing, uncluttered and with a fantastically clear male pronouncer. One of the best apps that I have ever used, really. The free version is a great start and the full version is absolutely worth $12. Hours and hours of language instruction for the price of one inexpensive meal out. A total no-brainer.

The best app for learning Bokmal. I absolutely love this app. Very easy to modify to fit your needs and preferences. I used it almost daily while in Norway, especially when I had no Wi-Fi connection.

Norsk. Norwegian, not enough words for Mens Room, Ladies Room, Menu and Norwegian Restaurant items..

Easy to use. This app is amazing and very easy to use. In other apps, after learning a couple of words they completely stop teaching them to you and then expect you to remember them later. Now, in some brains that might be the case, but most likely it is very hard for a person to do that. This app keeps you learning words while reviewing the old ones very often, helping you to remember everything that it teaches you. Within these couple of weeks that I have been using this app, I am able to recognize many words and phrases that are often used in the Norwegian language, which to me is very impressive. Very good app.

Understand what you're getting FIRST. There is nothing that annoys me quite as much as as product misrepresentation. So let's be clear about this "dictionary" (the search term I used when looking for this app). Unless you pay the full price of $12, what you'll be getting is a VERY brief, scarcely useful, phrase book that wouldn't even be useful for travel. (What good would something for travel be without the word "time"?) Please understand--I'm not saying we should get a full dictionary for free every time. I'm just saying, "Be very clear what you are offering." In addition (and this is not Nemo's fault, although a little extra guidance is always appreciated), I went to Apple's Keyboard Settings so that words I looked up would appear correctly when I saw them, but it offered (to my surprise) two different keyboards, so at this point I'm trying one of them to see if any of the words that come up in the app appear the same as they do on the screen when I watch my favorite Norwegian TV show on my computer or iPad. I have paid the $12 and downloaded "the full list," although at 1404 words, "full" would not meet some people's definition of the term, but I will leave it to each purchaser to determine worth. I'm just starting to learn Norwegian (although I speak English, Russian, and a few other languages, so that of course helps greatly) and so will no doubt acquire other materials to help me learn. Vennligst!. Oh what a great app! Very well designed for ease of use. Robust in features, yet my 2 year old can use the listen and repeat as well. I have the free version but will upgrade to access more vocabulary once I've mastered the basic pleasantries. Thank you developers!

Great app!. Great app to learn different languages at the basic level.

Good app, limited vocabulary. User friendly, like the play back options. Wish it had a larger vocabulary selection. For $12, some basic things like allergen concerns with food should be touched on. I am a celiac, so traveling is always scary for that reason. Gluten is not in the vocabulary. Seems like a very basic, international word.

Nice app, but.... It's a quality app, and is generally useful. But some of the translations are not perfect. "Thank you" really doesn't translate to "takk skal du ha," for example. "Takk" means thank you in a more general sense. "Takk skal du ha" is something you might say to a store employee that helps you find something.

Fastest language acquisition tool ever!. App settings allow you to control everything: how many words, how fast, record yourself, exclude what you have already perfected, practice vocabulary in context and much, much more! I love the gentle, encouraging reminders I receive every day via txt msg, at the time I chose! Plus many other brilliant features in NEMO! My Norwegian in-laws are impressed at how quickly I became able to hold simple conversations in social occasions and how I can get the gist of what they are talking about. I have only done about 40 hours of learning, so far.

Pretty darn good. Haven't used many language apps, but I've been learning Norsk from this one and it's gone pretty well.

Very useful!. I have used this app to learn about Norwegian and it has proven itself accurate I went to Norway recent and I could strike up a conversation with a few people (as long as they slowed down)

Great supplement. This is a great supplement to use with a Norsk textbook. The Mystery of Nils is the book I’m using and I love I can favorite words and it adds them to a separate section. The player is great and the options to play back the speed as well as a choice of the voice you want used are great.

Great app!. Allows me to listen while driving without having to use the phone. Crisp clear pronounciation in both English and Norwegian. Few language apps include Norwegian. Totally worth the money for the upgrade.

Disappointed. I was enjoying the app until I found out they only teach you a few basic phrases unless you pay to upgrade. I will be deleting the app.

Great tool. Being persistent with learning Norwegian through this app and utilising the 10 word a day function could help you learn decent norwegian.

Rowan.. Very good teaching app, but I cannot find where Bestilt means Reservation in the dictionary. The nearest translation is Bestilling which means ordered. In fact I cannot find the word Bestilt at all. I’ll stick to saying Reservasjon.😊

Best App Ever. I am a fifteen year old high school student, and became interested in learning the Norwegian language. I’ve tried watching YouTube videos, google learning sites, but I didn’t really get a lot out of it. Its only been about a week since I started to use this app, but I’ve already learned a lot.

I love learning Norsk. I have been using many different systems for learning Norsk for the last three years. Living in the U.S. I don't get to hear it spoken, I particularly like the part of this app where you hear native Norsk, my pronunciation and then the Norsk again. I can really hear the little inflections I'm missing in my pronunciation.

Easy as 1,2,3. Easy to use and great retention rate so far on the free version.

Upgrade is a disaster. I had purchased the original version, only to find today that it had been automatically "upgraded" with a bunch of useless, frustrating new features. The basic flashcards that I liked are no longer available. What an utter waste of my money. Don't try to fix something that's not broken.

Good Phrase Book. This app is great for learning Norwegian vocabulary! And I love the voice of the pronunciations. However Nemo is not as effective as other language learning apps I have used, that had better quizzing methods, and tracking of your skill level. You may learn enough Norwegian here to survive a week in Norway, and that's pretty good:)

Great vocab builder. Very helpful for beginners and intermediates. Don't expect to learn Norwegian from this app alone as it does not include explanations of conjugation etc. It will, however, offer everything it claims to with useful conversational phrases, new words, and even some jokes! With a basic understanding of Norwegian sentence structure, you will get even more out of the app because pieces of these phrases will become interchangeable. Jeg elsker å praktiser norsk med Nemo!

So far, so good.. I've only got the trial version right now, but it's going quickly and only takes a few minutes here and there every day. I'm definitely upgrading once I get there.

Fell in love in 10 mins. The speech part was genius. I'm taking a Norwegian class and wanted to get a jump start on the semester, I was more worried about the dialect and speaking but now I'm more confident because I can practice outside class!

Great improvements. This version, once you get used to it, is much better than previous. Good choice for elementar vocabulary app with 1400+ words to practice.

Only app for norsk. This is indispensable in Norwegian study. There is not a lot of material out there on this beautiful language and this is pure gold.
