Great length and amazing story line!!!. I absolutely LOVED this game!!! And for the small price it is quite a long game!! Normally the adventure stories are sold as separate chapters but this one has five and it's totally worth the money. You fall in love with the main character who is so extremely innocent and just finding out about the real world and you really connect with the story along the way! I recommend this to anyone!

Loved this game. At least until.... This game is great! Great voice work, storyline and puzzles. HOWEVER, There is a serious glitch in chapter 4. I started the chapter without an item that is required to progress. Unfortunately I only had one save point so that leaves me with restarting, something I am not sure I want to do. A disappointing end to an otherwise great game.

I would love it if I could actually play.... From the little bit I’ve been able to play it’s an amazing fun point and click adventure game! It’s full of funny, witty jokes, the artwork is great, and the story is unique! But I’ll play it for about 30 minutes and it crashes. After that I can’t get back into the game cause it keeps crashing!! I really want to continue the story but I can’t :(. I’ve even re-downloaded it in hopes that it would work again but nothing works... I really hope the developers fix something because I know this game would be amazing.

Good but sometimes frustrating. I really like this game, and thought it was very pretty. But sometimes, it got very frustrating, because the puzzles aren't exactly intuitive. (Put a fish on a button?) And it was especially frustrating when the hint system got stuck and didn't update, so I had to use an online walk-through instead.

Great game but crashes every. single. time.. This is a fascinating game just as what everybody is saying so I won’t go deep about that here. My problem is, the first time I played it I made it to the stage and show part, and then it crashed. Didn’t save any of my progresses, had to start all over from the beginning, and it crashed again. Ever since that I wasn’t even able to open it because it would crash right after I open the app. Have tried to restart my phone: didn’t do anything. Reinstalling the game: absolutely did nothing. So frustrated — My system is iOS 11 and I didn’t know if it’s the reason, if so please update so the game won’t crash. I really really want to continue playing it...

Play it, here are some tips for controls. To echo everyone else here: this game is fantastic, in a whole other category from most iOS games. It would easily be a 5-star game if it didn’t have the technical problems; it really is wonderful in almost every way. Now to the only downside: because the game is a bit old, the controls can be very challenging. Here are a few tips for how to have the highest success rate possible for the controls: - When dragging an item from inventory, wait for the name of the object you’re dragging towards to appear before releasing - If the character doesn’t comment on your attempt in some way then the drag did not work — try again - Sometimes you just get a “bad drag.” It’s usually easier to try again than to keep dragging the object around for too long looking for the item name’s pop-up - Finally: don’t be too ashamed to use the tips. Some scenes seem a bit buggier and harder to explore than others. I still had fun while occasionally using tips to help me along so I didn’t keep trying to drag something that wasn’t going to work anyhow. Somehow this was particularly true for me in the very last scene of the game. Yeah, the controls are buggy, but you get used to them. If anything, I found the first chapter the most difficult and it got much easier from there. I finished the game despite the tough controls and it was very much worth it. :)

Bugs and Uncoordinated. Although the concept and story of the game is unique and interesting, there were many issues involving tapping an object and choosing objects close together. The bugs in the game made it continually difficult to focus on the art and story. Additionally, many of the puzzles did not make sense. As an avid puzzle game player, it made me disappointed that I had to rely on hints because many of the puzzles were unclear and unconnected. This game had potential to be great, but lacked in the programming and the connection in puzzles.

So engrossing. I have loved point n click adventure games since the early 90s. I loved this. The animation was cute, the sequences awesomely drawn and animated, voice acting was great. Fun, too. No 'oh-great-one-of-THESE-random-click puzzles' or aggravating what-could-POSSIBLY-go-with-what crap. I checked online for help maybe twice, but I really like how the in-game help system gives a little help at a time, so it gives you the chance to solve after each bit of help. The story was engrossing, sweet, yet had a bit of maturity. I loved it. Would soooo love to see a sequel/prequel. Also loved the protagonist. So adorable I want a plush of him. And the fish-bonking pigeon, awesome. Each character was lovingly drawn and animated , great voice acting and personality. I literally felt like I was exploring a broke down city. Great game thank you

Awesome Game!. This is the 2nd adventure-puzzle game I've played and I absolutely loved it!! The main character is adorable, the clues make sense for the most part, and it feels like you're in an interactive cartoon. It takes a minute to adjust to how to explore objects. You should always explore before and after you pick them up. The things Robert says can give you a clue as to how to use them. Also, talk to everyone you see more than once because they may have other clues to give later on. I used a walk through a few times because I wasn't thorough about exploring/talking and missed something. I loved the ending and I wish they would make a sequel. Totally recommend this game!!

Gorgeous, engaging game. This game is absolutely gorgeous and has such a unique story line. It's got the elements of a classic point-and-click adventure game and the puzzles are intuitive and at times challenging. The game is incredibly interactive and quite long. Worth every single penny. Too bad the other games by the developer are duds. They need to make more like Inner World.

Disappointing - Way Too Many Bugs. This is a gorgeous and intriguing game, and I was excited to get it. However, it crashes constantly and it just about never saves. I redownloaded it a couple times, tried playing connected to wifi only, tried playing with data only. I tried to only stop at the end of a stage. Stopped at the end of the third stage, and I reopen it to find myself in the opening scene. :( Very disappointing and a waste of money.

Great, but saved games crash.. I wanted to replay this before buying part 2, so I downloaded this again to play on my iPad Pro iOS 11. Gameplay is fine until I save and quit. At that point, every time I reload a saved game it crashes and I can’t progress - I have to restart a new game. Any chance of getting it fixed? I’d really like to purchase part 2.

Great Game/Prompt response from app support. I downloaded the Inner World in June and immediately encountered the crashing that quite a few people had recently mentioned in their reviews, which I was not aware of, because I had not read the reviews prior to purchasing the game. After the game crashed several times in a row I decided to go back and take a look at them. Much to my chagrin I read review after review lamenting this issue and many that stated they had no contact from app support. I can gladly say this was not the case for me; I messaged them on a Friday, and they got back to me on the following Monday. They were incredibly helpful and able to make it so I could play the game on my iPhone 8. The game is wonderful and I spent many hours playing both the original and the sequel. Would highly recommend both.

Amazing. I absolutely loved it. Art was amazing, sound was fantastic, gameplay was fun, the story was interesting. When I got stuck, the hints helped me figure out the next step without giving it away. Just all around 10/10

Great story but extremely frustrating inventory. I thought there was an issue with the screen sensitivity on my phone but realized the issue is the game. The storyline is great and I really enjoy the challenge of the puzzles, but I greatly dislike how difficult it is to use the inventory. I’ve considered quitting the game due to this frustration but I paid money for it so I’ve decided to continue. When using the inventory I notice it takes A LOT of effort to select an item to use it properly. Another annoyance is that it easily activates my iPhone settings screen. Extremely frustrating but great game otherwise.

AWESOME GAME!. This game is just like the classic point and click adventure games. It's so much fun, I wish their were more games like this available in the App Store. I have absolutely no complaints! The story is really interesting and funny and the characters are great! By far one of the best games available!!

Great quest!!!. I've really liked this game. Solid graphics, good puzzles and engaging story. I hope there will be a second game that will continue this story. Yet, this one is a 5 star. Small suggestion: don't exit the game with a home button during cutscenes. I've ran into an issue on first play-through of 3rd act when the game stuck when I quit during the cutscene and controls were not responding. Had to delete a save and start all over.

great story and art, but that's about it. I liked the story and the art, but the game is filled with bugs. The virtual buttons stop working often. And the game will be stuck after doing certain things and I won't be able to interact with objects or even walk at all. And I'm not talking about a minor bug you only encounter once in the game, I'm in chapter 2 right now, and it has happened to me more than 5 times. I also find many puzzles in the game that does not make sense and is extremely hard without help. (many solutions just does not make sense)

Favorite game on App Store!. This has been by far one of the best app games I've played. The graphics are beautiful, the story line invokes emotion( excitement, happiness, anxiousness, doubt) and the puzzles are challenging, smart, and quirky. I hate it had to end. I wish we could get a #2. Well worth the $2.99.

A few kinks, but overall amazing. I’m a huge fan of the point-and-click adventure games of the 90s, and this game was like getting my first fix since Broken Age came out a few years ago. I highly recommend this heartwarming, funny, and enjoyable game. It feels just like the classics and I’ve become a diehard fan. With that in mind, there are a few kinks with the game on an iPhone 7, mostly when it comes to interacting with objects within your inventory. The hint system is also incredibly finicky to navigate, but if you never need a hint, that’s not an issue ;) Thank you so much for this game, and please bring us more in the future!!

Hilarious and well cast adventure. Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert set the standard of fun and engaging game plots for me and I think The Inner World creators spun a story I looked forward to knowing what happened next. It’s one of those where your heart goes out to the characters involved. But importantly for me it is also meditative because there is no clock, no pressure, just good calm music and your brain, trying to hack away at the puzzle in front of you. Some adventures games have out there have gone the direction of reducing the challenge level to the point you are basically just clicking through dialogue, but I appreciate that the Inner World does make you think and you even get to combine items you find, to solve certain puzzles, which I’ve always loved. And a nice modern touch that the oldie games did not have is the hint system is there just in case you really get stuck. So as they say, I recommend without reservation.

Awesome game. Excellent game definitely one of my favorites I’ve played on IOS. There is an issue they’re aware of within saving the game, they are aware of the issue and I hope trying to fix it. The is a function under tools called wishingwell2.0 you I put a command which is: startchapter# and will start you at the beginning of the chapter. I had the above problem and emailed there support team, it took them about a day and a half to get back to me according to my email it came in pretty late/early in the morning because I believe they’re from Germany, at least I know this game was like #1 Germany, game is completely in English though. I really look forward to completing this game it’s super awesome and really addictive. The players aren’t 2 dimensional except for the visual part, and at least I really grew to care about them as characters in an awesome game! I can’t wait to play again and go on to buy the next game The Inner Worlds 2.

Still no bug fixes.... I love this game so much. It’s beautiful and everything about it is great but I am giving it two stars because even after two years of it being out it STILL has a bug in the last chapter which makes the rest of the game unplayable. The bug is when conroy arrives with his petrifying gun. His basylian is nowhere in the court yard so you can’t move forward.. this happened to me when I bought the game two years ago and I’d have thought that by now the developers would fix it. They have not, and the inventory is buggy now too! I’ve had the same phone this shouldn’t continue to be a problem.

I want to keep playing. I was engaged by the story that continued to develop and twist as I progressed. This game is approachable and not overwhelming, you won't get lost in large batches of rooms with convoluted puzzles. There are many challenges and most are logical. A great hint system is built-in to keep you from getting stuck for long (but use it sparingly). The cartoon style is wonderfully animated. It could use some polish both in style and mechanics but that never hindered my play. And for only a few dollars, this game is an excellent deal. I hope to see a sequel.

Funny, cute, adventure game. This game reminds me of some of my favorite point and click adventure games from back in the day. Its well written and mostly well executed, though selecting things can be a little clunky at time. For the price (I think I paid $5 or less for this) it is hard to get better. It is a fairly long game for that price...probably about ten hours of gameplay. Look forward to more from these guys or maybe a sequel???

One of the best games I've played in a long time. I really enjoy exploration puzzle games, and this was one of the best. Great, funny dialogue and a well written story. The difficulty was fairly balanced and I only had to check for walkthrough hints a couple times. It has really nice contextual help but there were a couple places where it wasn't actually helpful, so that's when I went to the walkthroughs. I can't wait for another game like this!

Comedically Heartwarming. I loved this game! It’s just the puzzle adventure I needed. The story is unique and immediately interesting. The art style is perfectly suited to the game’s atmosphere so exploration is fun, and the voice acting is a highly entertaining. It seems that inventory bugs and other functionalities mentioned in prior reviews has been fixed, because I’ve never had an issue. The gameplay was actually really smooth. Go ahead and buy the bundle - you’ll want to play the second game!

What They said. Other reviewers have pretty much hit the nail on the head with this game. The story coupled with the animated cut scenes makes you feel like you're playing in a cartoon. I appreciated the in-game-hints for when I couldn't figure out what I was doing, but found there were a few times when the hints didn't catch up with what I was actually doing. I went to find an online walk through for that moment and was able to figure out the rest from there (eventually the hints caught up with me). Robert was adorable and the story was cute without being too childish. Each level onlly had a certain number of items to interact with, which was nice as you didn't have to click all over kingdom come to find your item. I loved it and would play a sequel to this in a heartbeat. Worth the money for sure!

Enchanting. The Inner World is a phenomenal adventure game in the tradition of Studio Amanita and Lucasarts. My expectations of this game were modest based on the high bar these other studios have set, but Headup is giving them a run for their money. One of the best adventure games I've played on any platform, and easily the best on iPad. Clever, witty, surprising, beautiful, emotional, tricky, and engrossing. You owe it to yourself to give this one a try, particularly at its low price point. Highly recommended.

Terrific point n click adventure. I'm a long time point n click and room escape junkie, and I found this game exceeded expectations. A couple of minor bugs barely affected game play (had to hard shut down a couple times, but all was well). Progressive hint system is helpful, allowing u to get just that little piece of advice you need to advance--without spoiling the entire puzzle. Loved it! ❤️❤️❤️

Not having a good time with this game. This game was recommended by a friend but now I’m sorry I took the advice. I should have listened to the bad reviews. Controls are unresponsive and awkward. For instance, I try to combine two inventory items 6 or 7 or more times and nothing happens. I look in the hints and it says to do exactly what I’m trying to do. I do it 2 or 3 or 4 more times until it finally works. And that’s just one of the ways in which gameplay is clunky and tedious. In addition, the game is quite slow moving when I click on an item - I click, there’s a pause, then some dialog, I click on something else, there’s a pause, then some dialog, etc etc. Get the picture? Tedious and slow and frustrating. This isn’t fun. It’s basically unplayable. Way too glitchy. For the first time ever, I want a refund.

I love a good puzzle / room game BUT.... Criticism first: 1) I hate it when you can't pick things up until they are ready for you to because I waste lots of time trying to deal with situations without the item I need because I thought I couldn't get it!! 2) A full set of directions on how to combine items and how to separate them is needed. Maybe folks who play games nonstop find it intuitive in this game, but I don't. 3) Hints are good up until the last one of a series where several fall short and I ended up going to a walk through. Praise: Very good story, I like the combination of stills and live action, I wish the above were not problems because it made it frustrating enough that I've stopped playing the game. Summary: There aren't that many puzzle/room games that are complex enough to be continuously interesting but not so oblique as to keep me going to the end. This one let me down, and I wish it hadn't.

4.5/5. If you're into witty point and click adventure games, this is definitely for you. You need to think outside the box quite a lot, so it does take a while to complete. I've spent a significant number of hours into this game, and I was thoroughly stumped a few times. I got to the last level, and I accidentally activated a glitch where I can't beat the game. The item I need isn't where the hint said it would be, so now the game in my current save state is unbeatable. I wish there was a way to replay certain chapters, because if I want to beat the game, I need to make a new save file and start all over. I'll probably do it because I like the game so much, but I wish there was a better way for me to beat the game. But other than this rare circumstance, this game is phenomenal. Get it. You won't regret it.

Phenomenal. Never expected this to be as good as it was, selecting some items at times was difficult, only used hints a few times. Hands down one of the best games if not the best game I've played on my iphone. Need more like this in the App Store asap!!!!! So well done

I love this game!. I love this game! I grew up on point and click adventure games. This is the best one I have played since Monkey Island. It's so endearing and you get four chapters for your playing enjoyment. I felt like the game was well done and definitely worth the money I paid for it. Hope you guys enjoy this one as much as I did. Kudos to the developers!

Beautiful. This provides hours of entertainment. The only critique I would offer is to allow us to pause the game during movies. The movies and the dialogue was often on the long side, but overall the game was very enjoyable and a pleasure to play.

I’m Stuck by Game Glitches. I played this game when it first came out and it was very fun! The animation is satisfying and the characters are lovable, but I ran into a glitch and had to email the developer to fix it. I’m playing it again many years later and it’s glitched again and I can’t move forward in the gameplay. I would suggest it, but you might not be able to finish.

Wonderful game. The Inner World is an incredibly creative and original game. The gameplay is (mostly) intuitive, and the puzzles are just the right amount of challenging. But the writing is where it really shines. The storyline is engaging; the writing is witty, funny, tender, and never dull. There’s a ton of dialogue, making the NPCs endlessly entertaining. Every character is fleshed out, and you’ll find the most interesting people in the most unexpected places. I would easily have given this 5 stars, except for one major issue: the hint system doesn’t work at all. I can see how it’s supposed to work, but it just... doesn’t. You click on things and nothing happens. Another more minor issue was that looking at/using items in your inventory is pretty difficult. I played this on an iPhone, for reference. Overall I enjoyed this game a lot, so much so that I bought the sequel, which is even better! I highly recommend both games.

Great game!!. I love that it offers in game hints but doesn't give out what to do straight out, but you can keep clicking the light bulb for more clues till it does tell you what you need to do. Great animation and story line. I really liked Roberts character. Definitely the best hint system I've ever seen in point and click adventures. Well done!

Best game ever … almost -. I loved all of this game, which plays out more like a multi-act movie. I love that you actually managed to create chemistry between two characters in a video game. I will miss Robert and Laura and I really wish I could see what happens with them next. Some of the puzzles are brilliant and fun. BUT. Most of the puzzles are impossible to logically figure out. They are just goofy combinations of unlikely objects that go together in silly ways. The scenes sometimes feel like homework, and I give up and just start combining each object with each point in the room. I know the solution won't make any sense, so I just have to wait until I stumble upon the answer. You guys can clearly do better! I eagerly await a sequel that will undoubtedly be more spectacular than The Inner World!

Super cute game. This game has a really neat art style and game play. It's a point and click, which makes it better (if you're into those) but it's not so hard it's impossible, nor is it so simple it's boring to play. The in-game hints were really useful. It had a cute storyline, with some humor and sadness mixed in. Definitely worth the $$!!

Loved it!. This was clearly a labor of love. These developers put a vast amount of time, professionalism and work into this game. The puzzles require some out-of-the-box thinking. But they still make sense as you play along. Gorgeous world-building, character development and voice acting. Perfect game for those of us who appreciate thinking and creative challenges in their point-and-click adventure games. Note to devs: The inventory set-up on this game was much better than the sequel. The sequel hid the inventory under an extra button push that got tedious trying out different items. Obviously not a big complaint but if the devs make another sequel, perhaps they might consider using this style inventory instead.

Saving problems?. It’s a great game so far, but it doesn’t save progress whatsoever. I reached chapter two and it force quit out of the app, so all my progress was lost and I couldn’t get back to it. I restarted the game and the only object that I needed to move on somehow disappeared from my inventory! I’m not sure what this is or how to restore my progress, but for however long I got to experience the game, it was fun.

Actions are non responsive. I want to like this game. I just spent $5 on the bundle of both. I’m really disappointed that it’s so buggy. I try to click on things to interact, talk, combine, but the game just doesn’t acknowledge or respond to my touch. This is an issue with this game only. Maybe one day it’ll fix. I hope so, as the game seems enjoyable. 1 star till fixed. It’s practically unplayable unless I want to spam touch my screen till it decides to cooperate. Or crash....which it also does.

Great game. The game was great and I love how it was all hand drawn. Some of the puzzles and things that were used together couldn't have been more unrelated though so I did have to use the hints from time to time unfortunately. Opening the chair by combining the model with sugar then using that to dust the painting for fingerprints is a good example. Still a great game though.

YES! PLAY THIS GAME!. Hands down, best game I've ever played on my phone! What a great story! I loved it. I loved that you had to find everything for yourself and that when you get a little confused, there's always a little hint. But definitely hoping for another game as great as this one!

Basically unplayable. The constant tapping trying to get the game to select what I’m tapping on is so frustrating and it’s making this game unplayable. I purchased the bundle and finished part 2 first because this one was giving me so many problems. I thought it was my screen sensitivity but I went back into the reviews and apparently it’s been going on for a while with A LOT of people and the developers must have just said “fk it”, and aren’t planning on fixing the issues. There are bugs, the game doesn’t save, and you can’t click on items or the hints or anything because when you do click on them, NOTHING HAPPENS. I have a brand new phone so I knows it’s not MY issue, but then again, maybe it’s just an issue with newer phones?? I don’t know. All I do know is that I payed for this bundle and only got one playable game. I’m not happy. Don’t waste your time purchasing the bundle or this one by itself because it still doesn’t work and it’s Aug of 2020. The issues have been going on for 2 years. 👎🏼

A must have adventure game. Great adventure in the footsteps of the good old classics. The puzzels start easy and get pretty tough, but the hint system helps you out if you really get stuck.. The story is engaging with many charming characters, the humor is fun (with a few jokes that only adults can really understand). The update fixes a lot of bugs and the new flute nose mini-game is awesome!

Worth it.. This is a well-made adventure game that challenges you without becoming too frustrating. I picked it up on a whim and almost didn't get around to playing it. I'm very glad that I did, and I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys puzzle solving and weird fantasy worlds.

A mediocre and uninspired attempt. It's a nice game but it lacks polish and finesse. The voice acting is horrible, the sheer amount of bugs diminishes the game experience, the plot is very basic and cliche, the dialogue is unnecessarily long and convoluted, but most importantly the puzzle design is very badly communicated. When Botanicula and Machinarium have set the standard for this genre so high, one cannot help but feel underwhelmed by this attempt, so I reckon that one should only buy this game after having exhausted every other option.

I need a next chapter!. I absolutely loved everything about this game: dialogs,characters,puzzles and designs. Now that I've played it twice, I NEED a next chapter. PLEASE.

Great game!. Love it!! Funny and interesting :) It sometimes quits for no reason but it's still good. Four consistent bugs so far: 1. looking at the wind map with the girl when Robert is hanging in the tree (before anything is done) will quit the game. 2. Once "Conroy" has been burnt if u try to use him the cursor goes to permanent "I'm listening" and you have to quit and remove from memory to get back. 3. Once u have the flag and see the guards the help doesn't have anymore help. It just shows back no matter how much up & down u scroll. 4. "Look over there" allows Robert to walk over the front of the guard (instead of behind his back) when trying for the lab door. Great humour! Love it (also love the author of the cooking book near Steve!). Still great game :) note the achievement pop ups and sign in the cut scene when leaving the tube- it's German :P The voice acting is great! Robert is so unexpected!!

Promising. Looks promising but firstly I couldn't open my original save game due to crashes. Started a new game, only to be unable to 'click' on any surroundings. Too many bugs, should have been tested before being released. Deleted for now. iPhone 4 7.0.3

Super fun times!. Great story line, charming characters, superb drawings. I even went back and tried playing it in Deutsch just to see how cute flute-nose was in another language!!! Love to see more games like this

Truly great game. Fantastic game, really good hint mechanisms for when (if) you get stuck. Endearing characters, great illustrations and good pace. Best of all I got 2-3 days of solid, enjoyable and immersive gameplay out of it while I was laid out with a sore back. So that's twice the duration for half the cost! This is exactly what an ipad game should be. Thanks!

Love this game. Yes there are a lot of bugs. Great to hear you are working on fixing them. There needs to be a lot more adventure games like this. I am unable to progress at the moment in the game. I give the mechanic the mechanic code and the game quits out, I am unable to proceed further. Please fix. I am running an iPad 2. Thank you, trying to be patient. I love this game I need to find out what happens.

As good as the original Monkey Island. Wonderful atmosphere! Occasional freeze on iPad mini, but just shut down and re-open. The occasional frustration is worth it for the delightful whimsy of the ideas.

Beautiful, charming, utterly absorbing. The storyline of this gorgeous point-and-click adventure game is truly refreshing - and completely unique. I fell in love with the quirky quality of the game; the story is very character-driven and the idea of creatures whose noses are instruments in a great orchestra is hugely appealing. There's a lot of underlying pathos here but above all a sense of fun and joyousness. I loved the artwork, the concept, the story and the characters. The puzzles were great fun but sometimes completely illogical - but that didn't detract from the overall appeal in the slightest. I have one major complaint - and that is that there isn't any more available in this style by this creative team! *subtly hints for more* Thank you so much for a gorgeous game experience. I loved every moment.

Quirky. So far I am enjoying this game immensely. It’s far different from many I have played before & in my opinion much better!

Doesn’t work on iPads. I bought this game and it’s sequel recently, especially to play on my iPad Pro and my brand new 6th Generation iPad... Both of which are fully updated at all times... Unfortunately, neither of the games work on either iPad. They’re both fantastic, fun games to explore... I’ve played them before, so was very much looking forward to revisiting them. However, I got the first game to open on my 6th Gen & was able to get about 5 minutes of gameplay in, before it crashed. Every time I’ve tried to restart the app since, nothing happens. Very, very disappointed and am therefore requesting a full refund. Would have definitely given 5 stars had they worked properly.

Great game but crashed. It's a great game and reminds me a lot of machinerium but just a little too many dialogues in order to continue the quests. Crashes a lot at the beginning but solved after I turn off the subtitles and bubble speech. As soon as I reached to a point where I need to " distract Steve", it keeps crashing. Still crashing after new uodates

Pure Bliss. This is the best game I've played on iPad. More than that, this is the greatest and most loveable adventure game since DOTT. Now waiting with bait breath for part 3?2?

Charming little game. Brilliant voice acting, likeable characters, hilarious jokes (for mature audiences), and decent puzzles to go with an interesting story. I'd recommend to any fan of point and click adventure games.

Great game!. Lovely drawings, interesting storyline. A bit too much dialogue, but you can skip through it. The controls can be a bit tricky - a few times I had to try several times to combine items. But overall very enjoyable and highly recommended. Would love to play a sequel in the same world.

Too many bugs. Initial dialogue works but unable to get past first scene with garbage dealer - unable to make selections & then game freezes! Disappointing I have to delete without playing!!

Nice game but very buggy. The story line, concept and challenges are great but the game needs a lot more testing. I found a lot of bugs , it also froze quite a lot. And my first saved game kept crashing and wouldn’t restart. If the developers spent more time fixing the bugs then would be a lot more enjoyable.

great but bugs. this is really an awesome game but there are two things that spoil it - firstly there really is too much dialogue. I found myself constantly skipping over it in frustration. I get that they've used dialogue to build the characters in this game, but I think it could have been done with less. second, there are so many bugs! the main one I found frustrating was trying to combine items with no result, getting stuck and looking at the hints only to find that what I'd already tried should have worked. that aside, I loved the characters, and this game is quite long compared to other ipad point and clicks. I did really enjoy playing it.

Outstanding! Five Stars!. I loved playing this game. It was exactly what I’ve been looking for. Beautiful graphics and touching characters. Better yet, the game has a really intuitive interface, which is easy to interact with, and clever puzzles that will keep you guessing for a while, but never so long as to make you feel stuck or tempted to look for online cheats. Besides, there is an excellent hints menu embedded that doesn’t give too much away (unless you want it too).

Simply Brilliant!. I recently purchased both games (April 2019) and i must admit, I couldn't put either down until I'd completed them. The graphics are beautiful, with wonderfully created characters and a story line like no other. The personalities of each and every character you meet will put a smile (and sometimes a giggle) on anyone's face. The game play is simple, but the puzzles/missions do take some thought and attention paid to figure them out. Although the dialogue at times seems to long and frustrating, especially if you have to return to have it repeated over, I found if I just pressed my screen, I could skip through it to where I needed quickly, so it wasn't to much of a big deal. A definite recommended game I think, for pretty much all ages! I am sure to play both games on numerous occasions over time :)

Buggy. I would have rated Inner World much higher if it did not suffer from so many bugs. Some that came to mind were constant crashes while playing, lips not moving while talking, sprite layering issues (more notably with the guard outside Laura's dad's room) and the hint system sometimes not syncing with the state of the game. This game does have potential, however, once the bugs are fixed. At the time of writing this review, the bugs are still present.

GilliK1464. Loved it up until I could go no further. It appears the bugs need sorting. I couldn't combine two items. And therefore could go no further. Very frustrating as I was really getting into it. Any hints? I needed to combine varnish coffee pot and exclamation mark but it wouldn't allow me to. Grrrr

Beautiful but too tricky. Beautiful game- it's just too hard! I found the puzzles are too abstract to figure out most of the time so the game didn't end up flowing and I just got stuck or bored. And I found myself just following the hints. I loved machinarium but couldn't get addicted to this .

worth the praise. the game was voted Germany's best mobile game in 2013 and that for a good reason. the developers put a lot of love in creating this game. the storyline is great and the game creates a charming melancholic but not sentimental mood while playing it (the great music plays it's part in this too) thanks to the developers, it's been a pleasure. happy to see such a game coming from my home country.

Conflicted. This is a great game, artwork and characters are fantastic however it lost one star because the dialog is way too long, the puzzles can at times be obscure unless you go back and go through a whole lot more dialog with characters you have already questioned and I am at a point where I can go no further due to a bug. Can't remove golden tickets due to the gears popping up above the hint button so it can't be taken apart.

Fun game - too bad about all the crashing. Wanted to give 3 1/2 stars... Really enjoyed the game so far; straightforward point and click adventure, cute story and loveable graphics... Ce jeeumériterait un 5 étoiles si ce ne serait des crash qui arrivent souvent. Je ne peux même pas continuer mon aventure car le jeu arrête tout simplement losque j'essaie d'avancer. Awesome point and click game!!!. This game is one of the best iOS point and click adventure games I have ever played. Almost on par with Monkey Island. Worth the money!!! I'm so glad I bought it, quite a bit to the game, I'm still playing it. I loved it so much I just bought it as a gift for my bf. Smooth controls. Beautiful artistry, funny, interesting plot and hard to put down. Absolutely fantastic! I'm picky about my point and click adventure games. I've been disappointed so many times. If you like this style of game I think this is definitely worth getting.

Amazing. This game was absolutely Fantastic! I have never experienced such a unique game. The storyline is amazing, the puzzles are hard and the background art is beautiful. I really enjoyed watching the short clips after solving puzzles and loved having the characters talk to me. The game was almost like a movie and it was very entertaining. I always wanted to come back for more of the story. The only thing bad about the game is sometimes you have to close the app when you try to make an object interact with something it's not supposed to. Other than that, this game was worth every penny and I can't wait to play more games by Headup. Thank you for the amazing point and click game!!

Decent. Decent, but the conversations tend to be really slow. It would be great if I could choose the speed to be X 1.2 or X 1.5 of the current one.

Fantastic. This is such a lovely point and click game! All the characters have such fun and interesting personalities as well as wonderful voice actors, the puzzles are clever, the art is gorgeous, the story is wonderful and the little cut scenes are so much fun to watch. :) The game has a really wonderful hint system. I'm not very good at puzzle games (yet I love them, haha) and I usually have to google walk throughs but the hint system here is pretty great! I think I had to use google only once while playing. My only gripe is that the ending feels rather rushed. It's not a big deal by any means just something I noticed. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of point and click games!

Great point and click game!. This is an awesome point and click game, for only $4 it is totally worth your money! The storyline is pretty basic and cliche but the characters are extremely likeable because they all can be interacted with and talked to. All characters are voiced which I enjoyed tremendously and there are many funny moments between them. The game also offers many interesting achievements which made replaying more fun since you can explore more about the game. The game also offers free hints to players and that has helped me a lot too. Overall, a very carefully crafted game that deserves a 5 star'

Phenomenal. This is the most beautiful game I have ever experienced. I doesn't feel like you're playing a game, it feels like you are living in Asposia with the characters. I would recommend this masterpiece to anyone. I would recommend that this game be played by teenagers and up because I found some parts a little bit scary. This game had me experiencing a whirlwind of emotions, from mild worry to the verge of tears and everything in between. Please give The Inner World a shot. I'm pretty sure that you'll like it!

Game keeps crashing in the first chapter. It seems like a good game but the game keeps crashing after talking to the sin machine near the wind fountain on the first chapter. I’ve restarted the game three times and it still crashed. I can’t load save a save because it crashes immediately. Even if I start a new game it ends up crashing when I reach the same area on both my iPhone SE and iPad Air.

Drags on and extremely boring for me. I play a lot of adventure click and play games and this one is the worst thus far. Not worth the money and more like a click and LISTEN game. Way to much drabby conversation and music!

More crashes then a demolition derby!. This game has a lot of potential if they can fix the many many bugs. I love the story artwork and difficulty of the puzzles. I'm being charitable with 3 stars at this point but will be happy to change my rating to 5 stars if they fix most of the bugs

Awesome game but maybe I’m stuck on a glitch?. I had the saddle to cross the clothesline and then when i went back it disappeared. Now I can get across and the saddle is no where to be found? Please help

Amazing. If you’re a fan of the Monkey Island games as well as Day of the Tentacle etc... this one is a must have for innovative puzzle solving and good narrative. Very helpful hint system gently guides you in track.

Fabulous. Lovely art, engaging story. Easy enough to pick up where you left off if you only have a couple of minutes to play. Puzzles were difficult enough without being frustrating. Wish there were more games like it.

Great adventure with help when needed. I love these games that take you through a mystery of another world. This one was challenging and fun with a great hints/clue aspect that meant I never got stuck for long. Totally worth it for 5 levels.

Too short. I finished the game in less then 24 hours. Thank god it was only ¢.99 compared to $2.99. I would not spend that much for a game that I would finish in no time. Other than that the story was pretty good.

Not enough to keep my interest.. The concept is cute. The voice acting is great, too. I just felt like the early game moved kind of slow, with lots of kind of whimsical conversations that don't say much, and not much of a flow. Others really seem to like it, so it could just be me.

Great for Insomnia. I bought this game because of the positive reviews, and the fact that I love point-and-click adventures, but this one was a huge disappointment. The pace is so slow and boring, that it kept putting me to sleep, and the dialog is tedious and excessive. I just couldn't get into it, and it wasn't interesting enough to make me want to keep going.

We want more!!!!. I've finished this wonderful game but I keep coming back hoping there's a new one!!!!!! Worth every penny, buy it!

Achievements bugs. The game has achievements that don't unlock for Trial And Error and King Of Sins. These bugs were also present in the unpatched version on Steam. Please fix this on your next update. Come on it's been a year. I know devs are not making much money but work ethics is bigger than that.

I love this game but I think it's broken!. I'm stuck in the final fight between conroy and Robert but conroys Basilian isn't showing up! What do I do to fix this without losing my save file?!?!

Crashes at the stage. So far I'm really enjoying the game but I've now made it to the stage and it just keeps crashing. Looks like a review from another player has the same problem. Hope this is fixed soon so I can keep playing!

Humongous fun. Not had this much fun since my days with Guybrush Threepwood on Monkey Island. Whilst it's not as slapstick as MI, the story is just as engrossing and expansive. One or two minor glitches and a couple of times the game just up and crashed, but I was able to return instantly and continue. Nice cartoonish visualizations and vocal acting, together with a story that gets slowly more dark and macabre along the way until the uplifting and ultimately satisfying conclusion. Can't wait to see what this developer produces next! 5/5 from me!

Fun but buggy. This is a lovely, challenging adventure for about 6 hrs of play, until a known bug that hasn’t been fixed since 2018 left me stuck in the middle courtyard with no scene change to access Conroy’s Basilyan. Not appropriate for younger-than-teenagers unless allusions to sex and “bar humor” will go over their heads.

Wayyyy too much dialog. The game is good so far, but I feel that there is way too much dialog, and I can't actually play the game, without reading a novel for each object or person you interact with.

If you like point & click you must check it. This is a great point & click adventure. A great game, but the port is not so great. I still recommend it for the fans of the genre, though.

Love it but..... I love this kind of game. But this game needs to be fixed. This is the first time I've paid for a game, but I can't finish it. I'm stuck on the fight between Robert and Conroy. Conroy's basylian never showed up on the screen. Hate to go back and do it all over again!!

Entertaining but Buggy. Dialog is clever and puzzles are mostly reasonable so far. Unfortunately there are random crashes and freezes.

Problems with button overlap. I am disappointed because I can’t get past a certain point. When I select an item, if the button to “examine” or “use” is over another item or command, I cannot hit the button! As an example, if I want to “use” an item in my inventory, I hit the “use” gear icon to the right of it, but instead the game thinks I have selected the inventory item to the right of my original item. Very frustrating.

Couldn't Stop Playing. What an awesome game! I couldn't stop playing once I started. It was funny and the dialogue within the game was a pleasant surprise. Anyone know of a game similar to this so I can continue the fun?!

Game stops opening!. I would love to play this game but after I close my saved progress I can no longer open my game! It kicks me back out to my home screen. Tried this twice, after I had gotten pretty far in the story mind you, and still kicked out. Would love to play and rate higher but can’t fix this problem. If you are seeing this and can help please help.

Crashes :(. Fun game so far, but I closed the game for a break and when I came back every time I try to load my saved game it crashes. Will update rating once fixed. Update: I ended up just starting over, but now there is a glitch that doesn’t allow me to shake a certain item. I can’t move forward without doing so. The game is unplayable now

Keeps crashing. This is a great game- I played it for like 4 hours last night but now I’m trying to open it again and it won’t even open - it just crashes after I click on the 3 saved game options... hopefully y’all can fix this - otherwise I wasted my money. :(

Good game, but it has too many bugs. For example, every time a random animation plays it crashes and kicks you out. Another problem with this AND 2 is that I had to stop playing because the game glitches and didn’t give me something important.

Could Be Awesome...But I'll Never Know. This game has the potential to be amazing to too filled with glitches. I've already had to start over once because of a glitch I couldn't get past. Now I'm near the end and it happened again. Not starting over again. I'll just cut my losses and move on to something that works.

Good but I wanted more to see. I love the game but I hope there is a part 2 to this. I would love to see more of this game than the ending being how it is. The ending just killed it for me but other than that I loves it.

Really Fun. I sure did enjoy this game. Puzzles were easy, mostly inventory. The flute puzzle was more silly than difficult. The whole thing was a light-hearted, fun to look at, well-voiced romp. At $2.99, I totally recommend.

Buggy. For whatever reason it thinks one of my items is a different item, and so it won't interact normally. (It thinks the Exclamation Point is a Hammer on the bridge area with the guards). Restarting the app doesn't help. It is also behind in hints. It thinks I'm further behind in the game than I am. I generally don't need hints, but this was so weird I had to check them.

Too buggy. The puzzle mystery of the game is well thought out but the program has a so buggy that I finally deleted it out of frustration. Do not buy this game. You try to click on things that are supposed to work and they don’t.

Loved It Until the Crashes. Great game, but I'm stuck in Laura's studio in the theater. If I use the control panel OR simply try to exit the studio, the game crashes. There were several earlier crashes, but this one won't let me proceed. Hugely disappointing. Playing on an iPad Air with tons of storage, restarting the iPad made no difference. Really want to finish the story, but it's unplayable. Meh. 😾

Awesome!. This was a really entertaining game, fun and enjoyable. However, there are some swear words in in the dialogue that aren't necessary in order to enjoy the game. That is why I rated it 4 stars, otherwise it was awesome and easy on the pocket. The makers of this game really put thought into it. :)
