Tiny Scanner - PDF Scanner App App Reviews

This app died at IOs 10 or 11. This is really a zero star rating. This app has not worked since version IOs v. 11.0 (maybe 10). The developers don't seem to know how to update the app. Sure, the camera works fine. The cropping of the scan is not as good as it used to be. But, the app no longer connects to Dropbox, One Drive, or Google Drive. In fact, it not only doesn't work with One Drive, but it also doesn't give an error message. The last time I had it auto-uploading to Dropbox, at least it told me that the upload failed. I lost a bunch of documents believing that they were uploaded to One Drive. So, the app is pretty much useless unless you want to connect to Evernote or email the scan to your self every G.. D.... time. What good it a scanning program on your iPhone, if it can't upload the scan anywhere? I've emailed support with feedback several times and all I get back a canned email saying the problem is fixed and they are working on new things for the next update. That's a bold face lie. The update hasn't happened. They haven't offered a true update for a year. Certainly, none of the many problems with the app have been addressed. All the high ratings and excellent reviews are from that time period or before. The more recent ones are similar to this one. Definitely, do not buy this app. I suggest finding a different app that lives up to its claims rather than wasting your time with this one.

Don’t upgrade to Pro and you’ll enjoy it!. Tiny Scanner is a good, basic app, but features like Google Drive upload (and any upload other than camera roll and email via Apple Mail) are restricted to Pro users for $4.99. Sure, whatever. I upgraded because I need it in my Drive as a PDF and I don’t even have Apple Mail on my phone. But the app is an outdated web view app, so Google prohibits Drive access because of security flaws. Frustrated, I attempted to use my iCloud Drive instead. I didn’t get an error message, but it still won’t upload. Basically, the app is fine if you only want to have angled cropping tools and file organization and only want to save to your phone. (Does anyone use Apple Mail anymore?) But don’t buy Pro thinking you’ll get a more robust experience, because it’s just broken. (Ironically, I tried to send the developers feedback about the Google issue. But they only accept feedback through an Apple Mail link!)

Great Scanning App Tool. I was just using the “Dropbox” App to scan everything I needed to scan before I came across this App. This Scanning App is really fantastic and it saves me a lot more time when I’m trying to get my documents scanned properly. There’s a lot of cool tools that this app offers. But, I think one of my favorites would have to be..that I can scan the document a lot faster and the app automatically does the work of finding the edges of the documents for me. Instead of me having to wait for everything to line up everything every single time. I just take a picture of the document and it automatically finds the edges. That’s not all...it even gives you a chance to edit the lines and/or cancel/approve the document that was just Scanned too. They also, offer multiple documents that can be be scanned at the same time. Unfortunately, I haven’t had a chance to use the “multiple” one more than one time and it was a very low number of documents at this point in time. I would really like to know if there’s a certain limitation to the amount of pages (ex: “Dropbox” you can only scan up to 10-pages. Then, you have to setup another “multiple” document to finish the rest all the way until your finished scanning the documents that need to stay together.). I will figure this out soon I’m sure. However, I’m sorry I don’t have that information to be able to share with you today. Thanks for reading.

No need for a home scanner... So useful!. I paid for the full app, and it was such a small price for the utility. I use tiny scanner primarily to scan documents with images and text, such as receipts, driver's license, and forms. The app has the ability to scan and save files as single page or multi-page PDF's, select page size (I mostly use "letter" for 8.5"x11"), scan in BW or color, email files conveniently and quickly through the app, and other features. Generally the image quality of the scan is lower than the quality from a flatbed (page face down on glass) scanner. However, I have sent files scanned from TinyScanner in an official capacity (applications, HR paperwork, etc.), and the level of detail of the scanned files has been appropriate for those purposes. TinyScanner is incredibly convenient, easy to use, and useful!

Satisfied premium customer!!. This app is absolutely amazing! Having the ability to scan full documents and store them at your fingertip is unbelievable. It’s made my life more organized in terms of keeping track of important paperwork and documents. It’s not often that I pay for premium services but “TinyScanner” was definitely worth the upgrade. Now I can scan and fax in conjunction with the “Tiny Fax” app without leaving whatever space I’m in at the moment! I only wish there was a way to send one page versus the entire file. Please make that an option in the future.

BEST Scanner & one of my MOST USED apps!. I love this app. I work in a retail store that does a lot of shipping orders during the holidays. Most of these shipments are gifts for the recipients, which means the receipt for the order can't go into the box like it normally would. Considering most of the customers placing these shipping orders don't live in our area, I needed a way to send them their receipts. Before looking into a scanner app I would scan the receipt using our printer, save it to the computer, attach the file to an email and send the email to the customer. After about 5 or 6 shipments a week, this gets pretty darn old. So I decided to look into an app that would make this easier for me. I tried 3 or 4 different apps and finally decided to give the Pro version of this one a shot. TOTALLY WORTH IT. I have my work email linked to my phone so I can scan the receipt and email it to the customer in the time it would take me just to get to the printer upstairs!! Not only that, but it's a perfect image copy of the receipt and 100% legible by the customer. Since upgrading to the Pro version, I have found SO MANY uses for it! I scan and text the weekly schedule to all staff, scan documents I want to hang on to and send copies to my boss that he can print or view as if it were the original copy! Definitely one of my MOST USED apps!

“Basic plan (Free)” means you can’t save. Have had this app for many many years, and used to use it about once or twice a year. Used to be you were only allowed to have two documents at a time, which was fine for me. Now I have a newer iPhone, and the newer version of this app will no longer let me save. I have no other documents in the app, and when you get to the end of the process and want to save, it pops up a screen telling me I need a subscription to have the extra features that I don’t use, and my only choices are to buy the subscription or to cancel out of the pop up and then cancel my scan. Smells like a bait and switch, if you tell me I’m allowed to have up to two scans, and then after I delete them and start a fresh one, you prevent me from saving without paying you. Shame on you! ….I guess I’ll be looking for someone else’s app to depend on, and will make sure to tell EVERYONE I see with an iPhone to STAY AWAY FROM TINY SCANNER!!!

Rates a review (which I rarely do). This app is a time-saver, a money-saver, and a life-saver wrapped in one. Rather than going to the copy machine I just scan and go. No more paper to lose. I have another app that scrolls sheet music, but when I scan my music in tiny-scanner first, the clarity is much better, allowing better viewing while playing and excellent edit ability. I'm also working on my family history and have lots of old documents which I scan and then can easily organize and make notes. And when my daughter left her research paper in the printer, I scanned and emailed it to her phone and she was able to have it printed at school.

Paid Full Price and now making me pay again!!. Update: Customer service did reach out to me and fixed the problem!! So removing the lifetime access was an accident in one of the updates. I now have my access one again!! Thank god because I use this all the time!! I don’t agree with subscription services, but I bought the app long before subscription services were a thing and it’s been well worth it!! I use it for everything, even scanning and signing documents for our home loan(s) when we have bought a house. It works just as good as a professional office scanner. I paid FULL PRICE for a LIFETIME access to this app almost 10 years ago. Now that they have gone to this stupid subscription, they are trying to make me pay the subscription when I paid for a LIFETIME ACCESS!! Do not waste your money on these people!!

Used to be the best.. This app used to be the best scanner out there, and I have used many. However in the last update, a year ago, Tiny Scanner (Pro) lost its integration with online services such as Dropbox. It also lost its ability to name files based on the folder I place them in. Both of these are dealbreakers for me, as I rely on them extensively to organize my files. For example, it used to be I’d snap a picture of our phone bill and put it in the “Phone Bill” folder, and Tiny Scan would auto upload it to Dropbox with the name “Phone Bill (Today’s Date)”. Another app in Dropbox would then move it to the folder, “Phone Bills” subcategorized by year. Perfect!! But this functionality has been broken for over a year now, and multiple emails to the developer come back only with requests to “be patient.” Unfortunately I now have to find another app. Wish I knew how to go back to the old version.

Upgraded phone and app is gone and I have to pay. I upgraded my phone and the app disappeared, or was replaced by a different app (fortunately my docs were there in this other random app). But now I have to subscribe to use the scanner app whereas before I had purchased it for unlimited use. It’s either a sneaky trick by the company to move people off one time purchase to regular subscription or it’s just a glitch. Either way it’s not good, especially with no explanation upfront. I’m happy to pay more but I want some notification before a switch like this happens. Without some explanation, I’m going to try something else now. A scanner app has to be trustworthy given all the data they are entrusted with, and I’m not sure I can trust this app given the way it disappeared with all my documents with no warning, explanation, etc.

Sheet Music. This app is so much better than I expected. I've begun the huge project of scanning in my sheet music library so I can use my tablet instead of heavy books on a bulky music stand. I paid for a sheet music editor/reader called ForScore (I HIGHLY recommend it, you can do everything on it) so I needed a scanner to create PDF's for it to read. The process is still rather tedious by nature, but Tiny Scanner allows me to do this for free whenever I have the time in my own home. It color corrects the yellow pages, makes the black lines thicker and easier to read, and just runs perfectly. It's easy to use. I also use it now to copy signed performance agreements to my clients. It used to take me ten minutes to use my printer, convert it to PDF and attach it to an email. I'm done in under two minutes now. I highly recommend this app, it runs perfectly!

Frustrating and unreliable.. I tend to rate most apps based on their basic functionality and if I like the product I’ll get a subscription to their full range of services. Glad to see that Tiny Scanner’s frustrating features are in full effect with their basic plan. Reached my limit of documents and it let me watch an ad to save more but it only allowed me to take a picture of one more but would not let me save it which defeated the purpose. So for now I’d be okay with taking individual pictures and sending them by mail as pdf files one at a time, but every time I’d send 4 it would duplicate and delete any random ones of the four. Only option was to send one at a time by email as the merge format wouldn’t work for what I needed. Will definitely never use this app again and will look around for better ones to subscribe to.

EXCELLENT SCANNING APP!!!. I am the Director for a bus transportation company. Tiny Scan App has been one of the best applications I have ever used. Been using since I downloaded 7 years ago! The ability to scan documents anywhere. With drivers always on the road we have them scan information easily and sharing is a breeze. I would rather use this app then our expensive office scanner. Documents look professional and the updates actually make an already easy to use scanner that much better! Tried others, Tiny Scan App is the best, don’t even bother with the rest!!!

Tiny Scanner has Saved my Life. During this COVID-19 Pandemic I would not have been able to telework without it. It is more efficient than my all in one printer and much easier to use. It also helped my daughter scan school assignments and we’ve even scanned colored invitations. It is fast, efficient and easy to use. You can scan in bw, gray scale, color or photo and I have used all these features at one time or another. I cannot say enough things about this efficient app. When I got it, there was a small fee but I think it might be free now (not 100%). I would recommend this app to anyone who needs to work from home or just needs a scanner at their finger tips.

Time saver extraordinaire!. I bought my version of Tiny Scanner some two years ago while on a trip to Japan. I had gone up to the hotel counter and asked to fax a one page document back to the USA to meet a time deadline. That took 45 minutes of my time and made me late for a meeting. During the break in that meeting I expressed my dismay about such a simple task taking so long. One of colleagues from Kenya, Africa suggested I use his program for scanning. I did and sent my next fax back to the USA in less than three minutes including the photo taking of several pages. Since then, I have used my Tiny Scanner program in airports and hotels from New York to California. No more problems with time wasted and no problems with language barriers. I recommend it to everyone.

GO-TO APP. I've downloaded many scanner/fax apps. So far, I like the ease of use with this app, along with the many features (exporting for example) it offers. Overall, I like this app more than the others I've used. The only noticeable (yet minor) difference is editing/filtering. The scans aren't as crisp and clear and with the minimal editing/filtering features available (versus similar apps), this is the only reason it's not a 5 star in my opinion. That's the only feature that I think would give the other apps a slight advantage, though not by much. With that being said, the quality of the scan (editing/filtering) isn't too far off and hasn't deterred me... The pros definitely outweigh!! It's still my go-to app!

Was once a 5 star app, new update ruined most useful feature. New update makes controlling the contrast of a scan incredibly clumsy and frustrating, resetting the page every time a slider is altered. App doesn’t leave the sliders open long enough for a user to see what they change and make a decision. This is a really crappy UI for an iphone now, and it’s so frustrating that I’m considering switching over to a competing camera scanner app because of it. I just want to be able to check that my writing on a scan is legible and the new update has made that 10 times harder. I appreciate the other options, but this one change is a big enough deal to lose multiple stars from my review. Suggestions to fix: make the contrast sliders stay onscreen until the user chooses to dismiss them. It’s that simple. Also let the visual result adjust itself without snapping back to the original unzoomed document size, comparison is easier that way. I know the app has the ability because it did this fine before the update.

Great quality for simple service. This app has become a mainstay in my phone and ipad... used primarily for work where I need to be able to easily make copies of info sheets and attach them to charts. Using a pdf app on my phone is 1000x more convenient than always having to go to the scanner/copier and/or save the file where i may or may not find it easily later. Maybe only saves a few seconds here and there each time, nothing special, but Im still done long before those ppl who keep trying to tell me why some other method is better. The fact that the app is free is just a bonus... i wouldve happily paid a few dollars for the steady convenience

Absolute Trash!!!. I spent hours scanning files and threw the paper backups out thinking I was making “cleanup” progress. Tried to add some more to files and the app crashed so I tried to delete/reinstall and everything is gone!!! Huh... and all I can get from the App Desk Help is “Sorry the info is stored on the users phone”... well it’s on my cloud but I’m not wiping out my phone to download from the cloud and it’s not on my Google Drive... why is it not on my Drive!!! This is the only app I can’t get my info back from... ABSOLUTE TRASH AND NO WAY TO GET MY DOCS BACK!!! I won’t know what all is missing in those docs/scans/files until I try to find the info and it’s gone! TRASH!!!

One of my top productivity apps. This app has changed my life. It is super easy to use. As easy as taking a picture, and it finds the document borders for you, and can group multiple pages/scans into a single pdf. The options for different processing modes (b/w, grayscale, color) and adjustments offer plenty of flexibility, and the ability to upload directly to Dropbox, Google Drive, etc, makes organization easy. It has helped me stay organized and allows me to digitize documents,etc, for my own record keeping. For example, it’s now a breeze to digitize paper forms for filing taxes online, or digitize receipts to email or upload for reimbursements. As a scientist, I also use it for easy digital capture of my lab notebook (hard copy stays in lab) - having a digital copy means I can check my notes from anywhere.

A Must-Have, and The Best Scanning App!. In today's world, having the ability to scan documents while on the go is important! Need to save Receipts, Medical Records, Forms, Paperwork, etc? Don't waste your time simply taking a picture of those documents-sure you will have a "digital" copy, but good luck finding it the next time you need it! INSTEAD, SCAN and SAVE with TinyScanner! Superb Flexibility and Totally "User Friendly", this app is designed to simplify an everyday task for so many of us. Far too often downloading a new app is a virtual crapshoot! Will it work for a bit and then fail when I need it? Do I need a PHD to learn to use it? 😏 Thankfully, TinyScanner says NO! Just Scan and Save!

ATTN: STUDENTS!!!. This app is OP. This is literally the most broken glitch in life! I don't know how, I don't know why, but this works INCREDIBLY WELL on textbooks! Yes you have to take time to scan it but after that it is absolutely OVERPOWERED. If you have a good camera like me on the iPhone SE, you can literally take 'scans' of TWO PAGES!! That deserves some NONSENSICAL EMOJIS!!! 👏👏👏😱😱😱!!!! "But Martin, can't I just use my normal camera to take a photo of a book?" NO. The app literally prepares the photo you take and makes it legible and clear to read, almost like it isn't even a photo but the actual book itself!!!!! THIS APP IS THE HOLY GRAIL OF APPS. I CAN SEE IT SAVING US THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. THANK YOU, DEVELOPER, YOU ARE APPRECIATED VERY MUCH, I WILL SPREAD WORD OF YOUR APP ACROSS COLLEGE FORUMS.

One of the most useful apps I have. I had long been dissatisfied with trying to use the iPhone camera to take pictures of documents. Tiny Scan almost never disappoints. Even when it's not optimal, it's still far better than a photo. And the reason for the lesser than optimal is almost always because of lighting conditions or my pages being bowed or wrinkled. The way Tiny Scan straightens out distortions from foreshortening from not taking the shot from directly overhead is great. I have recommended this app to everyone I have seen try to photograph a document. Get it. Get it now!

Amazing.. This app is amazing. It allows me to scan any document I need. The scanned copy is just like the original. What is also amazing about it is that it allows me to scan documents with unlimited number of pages. As a teacher this is important in that I don’t have to carry around all my books and curriculums when I’m planning. I open the app and everything I need is at my fingertips. To get the pages in order I just take the picture with my camera from the back of the document to the front and then upload it in tiny scanner which is easier and quicker. than scanning page by page. Amazing and useful.

Not what it used to be. I purchased this app many years ago and have used it frequently ever since. One of the recent updates messed up the auto detect feature when trying to scan receipt sized paper. It won’t detect the edges of small receipts like you would get at a grocery store or convenience store. It tells you to adjust the document within the screen. The only way it will detect paper that size is if you put it on a background of another full size sheet of paper. After contacting customer service about the issue, the response I received was, “if you are not satisfied with the borders automatically detected content, you can click “crop” in the lower left corner to readjust the border.” They claim in their version updates that they regularly update the app to make scanning quicker and easier. So what’s the use of using the app if it doesn’t auto detect any size paper and I have to crop every time I use it? A feature that appears to function properly on every other scanner app available n the App Store. On to finding a better app where the developers actually care about fixing issues with the app instead of just providing a workaround. ✌🏻

Great Except.... It's a great App. Very convenient to use when I try to upload PDF of homework pages or sheet music. The pro version allows me to "Batch" process. I can take the pictures without stopping and editing each one, and edit all the pictures at the end. It saves a lot of time when I have more than 3 pages to scan. It also has unlimited storage. However, It will be more convenient to have a back button to the previous page when editing in "batch" mode. If I want to go back and correct the page size of the previous picture, then I have to exit the entire document and scan again.

Great scanner/time and paper saver. The app itself is great for turning in paperwork to the office while out in the field (construction). I do have a couple of complaints, though. It doesn’t transfer any of your previous documents from a different phone or share with iPad. It also went from being a $5 one time purchase for the last 4 years with zero issues. I recently received a new work phone and now its around $30-$35 a year. These 2 issues haven’t kept me from using the app itself because I haven’t sat down yet to see if their are any other comparable apps that can solve these 2 issues. When I do and if I find one, I will update this review. The app would easily be 5 star and was until I recently figured out these issues with new phone.

Better than a scanner but often slow. I am thrilled to have tinyscan because it means I own less equipment and I always have a scanner with me. I need to scan docs on the go daily. But they can get hung up for hours or even days in the cloud and sometimes, they simply never arrive in my email. That means you have to see that it is actually there before deleting any doc from tiny scan. They also really want you to buy it so you cannot store more than 3 documents (they can each be multiple pages) in the app without buying the paid version. Camscan is also good and has a bit more functions to choose from with how to send your docs out of the app to email etc. I have both apps on my phone so if one is not working well I can use the other;)

One of the most useful apps. My rating for the app before the latest update was very good: it’s included below. But the latest iteration fails to link to Dropbox, which dropped my rating from 5 stars to 2. I’ve requested a fix and been told multiple times, “We’ve fixed THE Dropbox issue but we’re working on other improvements.” Yeah, we’ll, while the developer tinkers I’m moving on to other apps. ORIGINAL 5-STAR REVIEW: I use it daily to make scans of archived material. Images are of excellent quality, can be enhanced reasonably easily, and can be emailed or stored in Evernote or Dropbox. (Waiting on OneNote, but not holding my breath.) Terrific ap. I'd be lost without it.

Great tool. I’ve been using this app for about 2 years now. I got the app for my job in a service department of a car dealer so I could send documents to the corporate headquarters to approve warranty work. I quickly realized it was great for all kinds of other things as well, like sending documents to customers and then I started scanning and saving my own personal documents. It’s great. I have turned a bunch of people on to this app, both personal friends and business acquaintances. I am also a humane investigator and I use it to send in my paperwork after an investigation as well. I found it has many great uses both business and personal. Highly recommend.

Won’t honor my subscription. I have been using this app since 2014, so ten years. I paid for the lifetime subscription at some point, which was working fine until I got my new phone a few months ago. I redownloaded the app because I needed it and it now requires a monthly or annual subscription and won’t honor my previous lifetime subscription with the “restore purchases” button. Not to mention the scans are now horrible quality and invert colors, unless you use the AI filter (which is part of the premium subscription that I no longer have). I tried to scan a simple black and white document which I would have had no trouble with before and it inverted the colors and made it unreadable. I have recommended this scanner app to so many people over the time I have had it and they just decide one day not to honor my lifetime access purchase and lower the quality of their product to make it unusable without the premium subscription which is very upsetting. I saw someone else had this issue and contacted the developer to get it resolved. The developer refused to help me: “The function of paying and subscribing to unlock is different, many of the functions of subscription are added later, you need to subscribe to unlock, and you can cancel at any time after subscribing.” Clearly this company does not care about their customers. They should not have offered a lifetime subscription if they weren’t prepared to honor it.

Great Scan App. This is a great App for Scan. This scanning app is really work well. It is very easy to use and makes life easily. It is a money-saver, time-saver and life saver. It is help save time rather than going to the copy machine just Scan. It is bringing lots of convenient for life. One of my favorite would be that I can scan the document a lot faster and the app automatically show you the document. I used this app several times due to I do not have lots of paper work to scan currently as a student. But I will keep this App and use it in the future. Very easy to use and very helpful. I use it on my cell phone and my Ipad. I really like being able to email a document immediately. Great App!

This is the most useful app I think I've ever downloaded. I originally downloaded this app because I am a truck driver. Our dispatch would want us to send paperwork into them make it a picture. Before that you would have to use fax machines at truck stops. I now use this for everything. It provides the clearest Image for documents which can then be saved as a picture or a PDF. I use it all the time in my daily life anytime that I would need to send or save a paper document I use this. I have a perfect copies of everything from resumes to any paperwork that you could think of saved my phone using this. Point is if you want to put a paper document on your phone use this

Makes my job a lot easier. I have to scan invoices three times a day in my semi truck I’ve tried google drive and other scanners but nothing in my opinion is better than Tiny scanner it’s inexpensive and does everything I need it to do quickly on the run in my truck if for some reason I forget to pay for the month and I don’t have any money in my account because I have only cash it makes my day so unbearable because I have to use google drive until I can get somewhere to add money to my card and pay it as quick as I can so I don’t have to use anything else but Tiny scanner…..TRUE STORY 💯

Decent Scanner Poor Interface with Dropbox. As far as scan apps are concerned this app performs pretty well. It offers limited ability to change contrast and color but for free who can complain. Most scanners do a poor reproduction of the original color document. Sadly in white page background the color scan shows the white as grey. But that is true of the other scanning apps I have tried. If edges are not detected to your satisfaction you can adjust easily with the touch of your finger. It handles multiple pages very well and saves the scans in logical manner. The downside is the limited function to export scans. Once you initial define your Google Drive or other external cloud service it is very difficult to change settings. For me, the big downside is the inability to save to Dropbox. The functionality is present but it no longer works. The first year or so of using the app it worked great but now no longer works. I contacted the company and they acknowledged the problem and asked for patience. That was about a month ago and no fix provided thus far. Still looking for a high quality scanning app.

Ad one issue otherwise decent app. Problems arose with having purchased Tiny Scanner App after free trial. This developer needs to make secondary independent app so once purchased it cannot lose qualified purchase receipt to restore the actually purchased ownership user rights. When getting new iPhone it only recognized free app and Apple stated no refunds credits etc if lost. Program is adequate but somewhere the management is sorely lacking. Not right to have to keep buying over again. Need to make independent. Just a heads up. Integrity may be dead. I like to think not. JDM. Purchaser and practices integrity old school kid. Maybe developers have remedied, I like to think so by now. Only then can I recommend Tiny Scanner App.

Wonderful App. Been using for 2 years already. The app just got better and better with every update. It was great before, but it's amazing today. I keep waiting until they allow you to select where you want to focus the camera on. It's been the only annoying thing about it. It automatically focuses on the center when sometimes I the center has no text and I want to focus on the periphery. Unfortunately, they haven't made the "select-to-focus" possible. But it's something I look forward to seeing in a future update. (I've been waiting a long time nonetheless.) Otherwise, the app in fantastic. Great quality scans!

Forced Subscription Model on Long Time Paid Users. I’ve been using this app since my college days. I made a one-time payment for lifetime premium access somewhere along the way and have enjoyed the app since then. This week, however, I noticed that I lost that access, and I am being forced into a subscription model to maintain the access I previously had. The costs are unreasonable for what the app offers. I’ve always had issues emailing pdf files to myself from the app, and found a workaround to use Google Drive instead. I’ve also noticed some changes in the user interface, and features connecting to Google Drive. I can no longer create new folders within Google Drive from the app, which adds an extra step in downloading files. Either they had a partnership with Google that has now ended, or the access the app had to Google was “discovered” and terminated. I will use this 3 day free trial to offload all of the files I had stored on this app into a safer place for fear of them cutting off access if I refuse to continue the subscription. I will then find another app for future scanning needs due to the abrupt manner in which the developers handled this update.

But it’s somewhat easy to use. It’s easy to scan and get all my standing done when I’m out and about I like the version before this one this is getting me to figure out when stuff added. I figured it out has more steps one is able to send off the scan material or sheets to customer. I do still like it. It’s very handy and easier than the other stuff. I just have to figure out the new upgrades. I hate when you upgrade with stuff you get used to one thing and then figure out the rest. I have no time to be reading for directions, so I had to figure it out as I went eventually figure out what it still kind of pain. Tiny Scanner still more comfortable with it eventually God bless America.

Best scanner ever!. Are used the free version of this app for a while and it was really good so I went ahead and paid for the upgraded version and I couldn’t be happier! I have had people ask me what I’m using when I send them emails because the scans are so clear. When I tell them it’s a scanner app on my iPhone they always ask me which one it is and download it for themselves. It is very feature rich and you can scan in black-and-white or color. I can’t say enough good about this app. I have scanned everything from single page to over 100 pages to send in an email or text. Flawless!

Legal. My work takes me everywhere I need to be quickly when time is of the essence and every second counts, as sometimes overnight eFiling of a claim can make the difference especially when there is a big stake at hand needing my protection, and this scanner is superior for such critical moment. It is great, efficient and also friendly user, which for me, who is not as tech savvy as I wished, it is a perfect work tool. You will save time and make you job far more easier, especially these days when working from home or in transit—get your work done immediately and move in to the best client you need to help. All without having to run to your place of employment or if home office for most people I know, who, like me, are sticking to working from home. Definitely a MUST HAVE!

Update-Another great app lost due to subscriptions. Moving this permanently back to 1 star and deleting the account and app forever. With the newest updates the app has gone back to the subscription model with no communication or compensation for those who purchased the app. Unfortunate because this was a good and very useful app. Such a disappointment. Adding an update, moving to 4 stars. As this app is the best I’ve found so far. Not sure if they’ve rolled back the subscriptions for just me or even permanently, but I appreciate the fact that they reached out to remedy the issue. This is a great app with tons of functionality that I have relied on for years. If the subscriptions come back I’d suggest a bit of communication and a look back at pricing. New year new app I guess. Nothing is included in the version I purchased years ago when I had to pay for the app. You have to purchase a monthly or yearly subscription to do do anything useful now it seems.

Only 4.99 stars. This is so perfect for me, quickly moving sheet music to my iPad near instantaneously Why the missing .01? We have choir practice 1 hour before performance. Since we are woefully disorganized they often hand me sheet music seconds before we run through it for the first and only time. Sometimes in the rush I forget to tap "batch mode", so I have to go back and start over. If I could switch to batch mode right then and there, I'd give it the extra .01 Now, for six stars, auto-integration with ForScore so I can skip the import step, wow. For 7 stars, it'd integrate with ForScore on my iPad, as I use the camera on the iPhone because it has a flash. Not sure why the iPad doesn't have one, but it makes a big difference when you're playing sheet music live that you've never seen before.

By far, the BEST scanner app I've tried. I wanted money on Scanbot and at least 3 other scanner apps. Non comes close to tiny Scanner in terms of black & white scan quality, simplicity & ease of use. It is the ONLY scanner app I use now despite owning paid versions of others. Wanted to write this for a long time to thank the developers but... life always gets in the way. I use TS for digitizing some of my books so that I can take them on my iPad. The black and white creates the lightest PDF size. Other apps just can't get it right. They are very low quality with jagged edges. Tiny Scan does lines and details with precision. Love this app. The other settings are also excellent - the grey and color. Creating multi page scans is intuitive, and it's easy to work with my Dropbox. Oddly, the Dropbox mobile scanner probably places in number 2 for scan apps; but again, the quality of TS is second to none.

Long Time User. I don’t leave a lot of reviews for apps until they stand the test of time. Tiny Scanner passes that test as I have had this app on 3 different phones and 2 iPads over the last several years. Whenever someone is trying to figure out their phones, I always direct them to Tiny Scanner. It’s been in use for so long now I cant remember what the initial familiarization period was like. I’m sure I was frustrated, like I am with most apps, and I know I have tried others in the past as well. What I can say, for an old guy, is I got through it. Today Tiny Scanner is an integral part of my phone and by extension, my business.

Great app. Has had incredible impact on my job. I work in healthcare as a Nurse Manager. I’ve used this app for at least 3 years. I’m always needing info as I round through departments from the documents and whiteboards that are by their design are fluidly changing info throughout the shift. I use this on my work iPhone to capture the info I need, quickly edit the image and email it to myself to reference the Information for my reports and assigning resources. The good design of this app lets you do this all right in the app in a few simple quick steps. I always have the info I need in my pocket for meetings or quick hallway discussions. Tiny scanner has increased my efficiency and effectiveness more than any other tool, system or training I’ve ever implemented. I am respected as the person with the correct and current for anything Administration needs to know. It’s so much more effective than trying to remember from my memory and notes and to have the info for any unanticipated questions. It’s all right there at my desk or in my pocket. Additionally I have a record of information to support me.

You'll never need to buy a scanner. I am a graduate student and a registered nurse. I have used this app almost weekly for all scanning/uploading jobs for the past year. I do not own a scanner and now I probably never will. It takes a photo of the document, lets you trim out the areas you don't want (like the table you placed the document on), then publishes it into PDF format and let's you email right from the app. The result looks identical to a scanned image. You can even adjust the darkness level before you publish it. I have made a 5 page PDF document before in a matter of 2 minutes or less. Must have for all students, employees, anyone!

The scans once again come out clear and legible. The new feature of selecting more than one photo to upload at a time is super handy and saves so much time too!! This app only allows 2 files at a time (2 files with as many pages as you’d like in each file) if that makes sense. The 2 files is perfect for me since I use this app pretty sparingly.

More uses everyday!. I have been using this app from 2018 when we were forced to live out of state for medical treatment and I had to send documents to the insurance companies. I didn’t have a printer/scanner with me and it saved me. Then Covid hit and this was the best way to send my son’s schoolwork in. It looked much better for the teachers to read than a photo. I told all his classmates about it too. Also, I’m a teacher so I was using it from that end as well. I told all my coworkers about Tiny Scanner. Easy to use. Easy to use and a lifesaver when it comes to working from home. Easy to send save or send on email with the option of PDF or jpg. 90% of the time picks up the edges of the page, else very easy to set these using the magnifier.

Needs ability to choose folder in Google Drive. Good app, does at days, just getting overly frustrating that you can't set a location in the setting for Google Drive location like you can in other apps. Once you get the ability to set default locations then this will be turned into 5 stars.

Auto scan problem. App is great super easy to use. My only issue is with auto scanning it will count down and scan regardless of how clear the image is. Might need the option to extend the timer or only scan once the image is clear

Good scan app, but has error in Dropbox support. Tiny scan does not synchronise properly with the Dropbox server. Your file will appear in your Dropbox app, but not the Dropbox server or any other device on which you are running Dropbox. Why? If there is a colon or semi-colon in the file name, the Dropbox server rejects the file. And Tinyscan puts a colon by default in every file name (in the time stamp part of the file name). 30 Sep 2017 update: Dropbox upload is now fully broken. Fails even with corrected file name. It's taken me several weeks to realise I now have to rename several hundred scans, to take the colon out, so that they will synchronise to Dropbox. Won't use or recommend TinyScan until they take the colon out of the default file name.

Used to be a great app. I’ve used tiny scanner for quite a few years and had found it to be great and very useful. Until last year that is. The app does not integrate to Dropbox any more. I contacted support mid last year and the prompt reply was “Thanks for your feedback. So sorry about the inconvenience. We have fixed the issue, but we’re working on adding some new functions to the next version, so please waiting some days patiently”. After some months I asked for an update. Received back exactly the same worded reply as the first time. Waited some more months and asked again. This time there are no replies. I believe the “Appxy Support Team” have abandoned the previous paid for app and lied about having an updated version. I would not trust them for any other app purchase in the future.

Beyond imagination. This app is just a real deal. Scans as a desktop scanner. Options of paper sizes, formats of documents, colour preferences and emailing options. Just amazing. Ever since I got this app, I send documents instantly without thinking of scanning quality. Just love love love using this app. I will recommend this app every second, minute, hour, day, week, month and year. Just amazing. Kudos to the developers. Just fantastic.

Brilliant. Love this app! Takes scans as you would on a normal full size scanner without having to worry about your data being stored on public or work machines. Once you work out the settings (doesn't take long) then you will use this app for almost everything.

Definitely worth the download and a couple of bucks. Great little app. Quick and convenient. Love boarder detection (hint to users, place against high contrast background for super quick border detection). Like the ability for quick send options, too. Thumbs up. Worth paying a few bucks

Long time user. I have been using this app for years and have had no issues. It is great for scanning receipts through to taking photo scans of documents.

Amazing and useful. Useful app and extremely easy to use. The down side is if you are using the free version, you can only save up to 2 documents. To continue using the app you will then need to delete those document. 2 at a time. But I understand, it’s free.

Not happy. I was looking for an non-confusing document scanner for my parents. This comes close, but you can’t deactivate all the export options that are not installed. Each time it offers you “one drive”, “google drive”, etc, even if not available / installed / set up. There is no way to deactivate this in the options. I thought it was in the free version a preview of capabilities in the pro-version (which I regrettable purchased), but you are hit with ALL options each time. I am very annoyed and it’s unsuitable for my parents because of the otherwise suitable app.

Good App. Tiny Scanner is a good app for scanning documents you need for work/school. I use it all the time but I don’t believe that we should have to pay to get unlimited scans. Overall good quality app that I would recommend to friends and family.

Don’t get any other scanner!. The best scanner app by far, doesn’t charge sneaky fees, allows pictures on your phone camera roll to be processed like a scan, and great scan quality. All other scanner apps I’ve tried are trash and this one is far outstanding. Keep up the awesome app!!!

avrina schiller. I'm very happy with tiny scan. So far it's working well and is VERY easy to use. I just hope it doesn't go the way of Jotnot Pro and Scanner Pro, which I used in turn, as one just "stopped working" and then the other - I have no idea why. Now I'm using Tiny Scan and it's great.. I hope it keeps working: if I can use it successfully, and send from within the app etc, anyone can.

Colour scanner in your pocket. Great app. It's like having a fully functional scanner with email capability in your pocket. I particularly like that you get a functional version for free and can use it many times before deciding to pay for the upgrade which allows you to store any number of previous scans.

Good simple App. I use this s lot now and am in the process of deciding whether to buy the pro version. It’s been great for scanning and saving receipts. Currently with the free version I just email them to myself, but I’m thinking it’s worth the upgrade so I can save direct to Dropbox

5 stars but .... I’d happily give this app 5 stars except for a bug that’s crept in over last 12 to 18 months or so. Whenever I load the app I’m asked for a pin. More often than not however the keyboard doesn’t appear and so I can’t proceed. Super frustrating. Otherwise it’s brilliant.

Excellent scanner in my pocket.. I find this tiny scanner is just perfect. It removes all shadows & satisfactorily straightens any document that might have been photographed a bit crookedly. I use only the conversion to black & white documents - haven’t tried the colored photographic option very often, but excellent for all forms that have to be hand filled & a written signature added. Tiny scanner. I rate this 4/5 with n comparison to other options on the market. I love being able to photograph items and turn them into pdf's. There is limited options for the free version as you'd expect but at this point my requirements aren't so great I need the paid version.

Excellent app I use regularly. Great app for scanning business receipts and documents so they can be filed on my computer and don’t get lost. Picture quality and ease of use is generally very good, occasionally the print is a bit too light.

You need this. I’m a uni student and this is a life saver. I had to submit a scanned form as part of an assignment today and it’s Good Friday so I forgot that no where is open to use a printer (I don’t have one). This app saved my life and I can’t actually believe how useful and simple to use it is. I saved the doc to my Files and it appeared on my laptop desktop straight away. Absolutely amazing.

Top app but requires on major Update. I use this app everyday for work, the only issue I find extremely disappointing is that I have it linked to Dropbox which is great but I cannot export the entire folder due to restrictions set by the app. Fix this issue and you will get 5 stars. Thanks 👍👍

FA-BU-LOUS. Okay so I was looking for an app to scan my exam as I needed a copy for review and this was the first app that I found. I saw the reviews and decided to test it out because surely, it can’t be this good. Safe to say, I could not have been more wrong. It is truly truly an amazing app and I 100% recommend if you need something last minute. I am a student giving my honest review as this has been a really quick and easy alternative for me to use.

Upload to Dropbox no longer works. This app is to automatically upload to Dropbox plus allowed you to manually upload to Dropbox as well as various other platforms. Thee app stopped doing this recently (it appears to be some kind of Malfunction) and there is absolutely zero point of contact I cannot find a contact email or support area to ask the question so that's why I'm giving it 2stars

Best scanner app EVER!. This little app is highly functional, allowing you to scan your images or documents, predicting the document border and allowing you to carefully refine edges, combining and reshuffling pages and links easily to your preferred storage space. Just wish there was a PC version available!!

TRULY AMAZING. I was frantically assessing my options at 1am because I had completely forgotten to scan a few documents and send them to my employer. They needed to be specifically scanned, not pictures because it was a professional matter. I conveniently found this easy to use and precise app, and honestly, it just saved me petrol, time and energy from having to go and pay ridiculous amount of money at a printing shop to get my documents scanned, AND I will even be able to sleep in a little extra in the morning which I needed hahaha. I'm so glad I found this app. I feel like I have a scanner in my pocket, and you just saved my job!

Mixed feelings. Initially I found this soo easy to use, however when I went to use for a third time i couldn’t get it to work. I think it may have something to do with the fact that I had left the first two scans on my screen. I stumbled across I fix after about 30 minutes and constant messages to upgrade or to purchase what I had already paid for.

Excellent App. I just used this app and have no idea who developed it but I am telling you guys. This app is number one scanner app..I had to send a scanned copy of a receipt to someone for official purpose and picture was not allowed. I used this app to convert this pic into scanned pdf and bingo.. They accepted it... They best thing about this picture is Page size feature. If u select A4 size it automatically adjust the picture in middle of page and keep the other blank portion of page which gives a real scanned document impression.. Excellent guys. Good Job !!!

Life saving app. With so many university assessments online, this sucker is absolutely perfect. Friends always have nightmare stories about not being able to upload a file of their working out, I’ve never once had an issue. I’ve also been able to draw schematics on paper, upload it, and build flow sheets, purely because of how crisp the scanner effect is. Thankyou guys so much

Very Handy App. I have used tiny scanner for around 2 years. It always works and never lets me down. Scanning is clear and with the easy adjustment feature built in, my documents look almost as good as the original. I usually use it for forms, then I send the forms from Tiny scanner App to Type on PDF App, fill them in and return them by email instead of posting. It is very convenient, so I'll keep using this App and recommend it.

Upgrade.. I used this product for a long time and it has been great. There was an upgrade a few days ago and I have sent three emails from the downloaded app with many concerns. I have not had responses. I would have sent email from to the email link on the app descriptor site but it isn’t hyperlinked. Hence my review. It is now so user unfriendly and unless it is fixed quickly or have a prompt response, sadly I will be using another scanner. I have already started looking.

Better than a physical scanner. So amazing, you can take a normal photo of your page, and it automatically resized it so it looks like it was perfectly cropped! And it's so quick and user friendly. Highly recommend. It does everything you would want it to!

Could be higher res. One gripe, then the good points. It could be higher res. The PDF's that it outputs are great in almost every other respect, but they are sized for a web browser in 2005. Great automatic cropping and skewing images to a flat straight "Scan". Really great, it beats the pants off all the other apps (I tried them all, even the paid ones). It's "scanning" options of colour/grayscale/photo (and one called document, which is a super punchy high saturation, high contrast option) are pretty much standard. It can handle scanning many multiple pages at a time, then processing them and making a PDF. I did 45 in a row, and it didn't crash.

Now they took away features that used to work in my purchased version like emailing pdf, saving to iPhone, etc. And put those behind a subscription fee. Why charge for something once when you can charge over and over again every month? The inevitable wave of our dystopian future. I’m sure they add lots of new features over time, but I only need scan to pdf and email. Anyway turns out you can scan to PDF for free now using Apple Notes. Bye Tiny Scanner. Works well. This is the only app I’ve ever needed to scan any documents. I need to have a PDF form or a jpeg form. It does a really good job. You can rename the documents very easily, send it very easily and save it very easily. It has capability to scan multi document PDFs easily.

Excellent. Use it all the time. The auto bulk image taking feature is great, speeds things up like a damn, but if too fast for you to turn pages, just keep the phone moving so it doesn’t take unwanted images to process.

Deleting. Used this app for years then all of a sudden today I scanned some documents and it wouldn’t let me export them in any format. Kept asking me to subscribe. What’s worse although I previously paid for a full version of the software I was unable to restore my purchase. As I needed some documents asap I even tried to subscribe for a week to be able to have all the features and even the subscribe function isn’t working. I can’t delete the app and reinstall as I have many documents inside the app. Terrible situation. Once I find a way to export my documents I’m leaving this app for good. Stay away.

Tiny scanner is crashing!. I have been using tiny scanner for a long time, and up to recently, I loved it. But, now it is crashing on a regular basis. I read that if you delete the app, and reinstall, you will lose your scans. I have a large amount of scans. I also read that the developers want people to email them for an answer before giving a bad review, which I did twice. I never received a reply from either email that I sent, so I am writing this to see if that helps to get an answer as to what I can do to fix this problem of the app crashing. To the developer, please email me, call, or post the fix. Thank you!

It Just Works. I’ve been using this app for a few years now and have always been impressed by its reliability and the ease of use. I also have Adobe Scan and Dropbox Scan, but this is simply better. It will backup with iCloud and still let’s me save to files and Dropbox. That said, I’m a bit bummed that the new features (text recognition and document signing) would require me to upgrade again, from the Plus Plan to the Premium Plan. I’ll just stick with Apple Photos app and Adobe Acrobat for those respectively.

Good quality but user interface designed by aliens. This tool is TERRIFIC in terms of quality and options, but it has an unbelievably clumsy user interface that breaks every rule in the book of good design. For starters, it is insane the way you switch between single page and multi page scanning. Does the button mean “You are now *in* multi page mode” or does it mean “Press here *to enter* multi page mode”? Who knows!? Come on folks, that’s UI Design 101. Second, when in multi page mode it is absolutely impossible to tell whether you are about to finish the current page and move on to the next one, or whether you are about to replace the current one, or what. An absolute mess of a UX. If it weren’t for this it would be one of the best apps out there.

Outstanding App. Since I rarely have access to a printer &/or scanner, Tiny Scanner has saved me on many occasions. Forms, documents, applications, or pictures are quickly & easily converted into PDF formats, ready to be e-mailed/faxed/printed/or Dropbox(ed) at any time. I have never encountered any issues while using this app, technically-speaking or in any other way. I learned how to use it within minutes and I'm constantly sharing this "great find" with many of my family & friends. Truly, there is no comparison to Tiny Scanner and I encourage you to give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

Makes life SO much easier!. I’ve had Tiny Scanner for years & cannot say enough about it! It continues to make life so much easier - in both business & personal areas. It is super easy to use - just snap or upload a photo to scan & send (or scan & save to wherever you need). The feature that keeps the scanned documents until you delete them has saved me countless times when I was unable to locate a document. Thank you tiny scanner. Anything that makes life just a little easier make a really big difference!

Amazing!!. This app has been a lifesaver! I can scan, print, and email right from my phone. It has saved me time and money. I am able to scan important documents and send to the state in a timely manner, which also makes my state rep happy! :) In the past I had trouble sending documents to her no matter what form I used and it would always come down to having to send snail mail. Since using tiny scan, she has not had one complaint about the quality of a document. I don't buy an app very often but I must say this was worth the money!

Great tool that lost lots of functionality with the subscription scheme. Back when I downloaded the app I decided to get the pay service and be able to scan multiple page documents. That worked great while they honored the purchase. As it turned out it was a BAIT AND SWITCH scheme, requiring a subscription to allow for the same services I already paid for. The right thing to do if they were going to switch to this paid service type of agreement is to honor their previous commitments and agreements for the already existing customers, and have all new customers who wanted to use the service use the subscription method. It is done routinely in businesses. It is called grandfathering. But I guess ethics are no longer part of doing business with the ME mentality nowadays.

Really impressive scans. I wasn't sure what to expect from using my iPhone as a scanner. But I've found this to be invaluable when wanting to scan docs on the fly in less than ideal conditions ('real' scanner unavailable, poor lighting, etc.). Now, I do have a IPhone 6S which has a really good camera so that could be part of it. I know there are other scanner apps out there and I don't know how they compare to this one, but this one suits me just fine. 5 stars would've been awarded if I thought there is no difference in quality between this app and a bonafide scanner. Still, the quality with this app will definitely do in a pinch.

Excellent for getting the job done. I was traveling and needed to scan document pages and email them. I went to Kinko’s for the first half and was shocked when the bill was $54. I honestly thought I had done the currency conversion wrong - ha. I was reluctant to spend $4.99 to upgrade this program but it would sure beat another $54 bill if it would work. And it did! It even improves my pictures of the pages, saves in color, and offers file size options to email. It looks deceptively easy but some real thought went into how to make this perform well. Thanks for saving my vacation.

Simple and Helpful. I was looking for a scanner app that would allow me to do PDFs and looked around at a few but this one is absolutely the easiest to use. I have sent plenty of PDFs from the house and it has made things much easier. The quality is very good, with just a slight bit of blur when it renders it to a PDF but this is more than good enough for me and I do government documents. It does batch scans too. I just take pic after pic and when done it allows me to crop the image and click done. I recommend this to anyone needing a simple scan tool. Simple and easy to use.

Great tool for a small business trucker!. I've been using the paid version of this app for almost a year now, and it has been a great asset. I am in the trucking industry, so I have a lot of expenses to keep track of. Tiny Scan helps me keep everything organized, and gives me no excuse to procrastinate because of its quick and easy to use format. Being on the road all the time, the conveniences like this app are what makes a small business succeed. I also recommend Tiny Fax for all of those people who need to fax while on the road.

Used to be great now removed basics. Used to love this app but, nothing lasts forever. In their lastest version they’ve removed the ability to email or Airdrop your scan without paying for the privilege. It only allows you to create a link which takes forever to appear. I understand monetizing an app but it shouldn’t be at the expense of users who were with you from the beginning. Or removing functionality for the free version. It also makes you feel like abandoning the app altogether which I have no choice but to do bcus I just don’t have the time to wait for the link on all my previous scans. What a waste of time. Going to Adobe I guess. Ruined a once great app.

“Hold me closer tiny scanner”. Every time I use this app I sing to myself in the tune of Elton John, “hold me closer tiny scanner.” I am only writing this review because I wanted to tell someone how funny I think this is, and an App Store review seemed to point to the only relevant audience. Anyways, the app works great. Saves a trip to the scanner at work and the fuss of manually entering an email address. I airdrop the PDF to myself which is nice. Only complaint is that you can only have two PDFs at a time with the free version, but if you’re sending to yourself right away then it’s not really an issue to delete them. Cheers!

Excellent Quality App, Very Convenient!. Love this app! Very convenient! The contrast adjustment makes handwritten docs a snap! I've updated my review to reflect that I have upgraded to pro added the tiny fax app & uninstalled all other scanner apps! This app got me through an entire year without a wireless printer (both home computers were down and I was using iPad and iPhone exclusively until I finally got around to fixing them) I now have a new wireless printer, but all the same I'm going to keep you, Tiny Scanner, you Rule! Tyvm Tiny Scanner you're a lifesaver!

I love this app. Ive been using this app foe 2 years for some simple documents. Back then the border detection was alright and i had to keep cropping the picture. But now the visual border protection lets you take a picture without cropping 95 percent of the time i just love it. One feedback i would like to give is that let us add another page to the pdf after taking the first picture like before. Now we have to take a picture click save click on the document then add. I want to simply add another page after i take a picture

Love it. I'm giving it four stars just because I first downloaded the free version and then upgraded! I love how easy it is for me to send records and files for business on the go or scan a copy of a paper I need for my own records. The only issue I have is not being about to go back in and recrop after it has made into a document if you notice it's a little off because you were in a hurry at the time that's why I didn't give 5 stars. Unless I just haven't been able to find that option yet but other than that it's great and gets the jobs done that I need, for work and my personal life and health records!

I love tinyscan!!. This app makes life (especially at work) so much easier!! It is literally like having a scanner in your pocket. Anyone giving this app 1 or 2 stars just hasn't figured out how to use it. It does limit the number of scans you can do but you just have to go in and delete the old ones from the app. There's no reason to store them on the app anyway. I work in crop insurance and a lot of my insurers don't have a scanner readily available, but they all have smart phones. I've recommended this app to many of them and have gotten a ton of positive feedback. This is an awesome product!

Now on PDF’s “Created With Tiny Scanner”. Been a great platform and I’ve never thought to look elsewhere but for some reason, they decided to make an update to where EVERY PDF generated now has “Created With Tiny Scanner” at the bottom of every page… This is NOT acceptable because I use the pages generated for important business and personal matters. The pages now come across as unprofessional and I can’t work with this. Tiny Scanner - please fix this and you will have a great app, otherwise this is a deal breaker.

As I learn more about the different types of things around the app the more powerful it becomes. Thanks guys for the app. It’s a great app to use for your own home, school or with your receipts also, you can use it for email use. I should put it on my girl friends iPad as well as my own. 2)- I now have used the scanner app for a while now and I have to say I love it and will keep using it. I have even considered using the app for my tax return but I saw it to be a lot of scanning. Thanks guys.

Can't do a simple save to photo library. I gave it two stars because it makes a good scan. Because I can't save to the photo library I don't think it deserves more than two stars. All the other ways to "save" the scan require a connection. Sometimes I don't have one. Maybe when you pay the 4.99 upgrade.....? I might be wrong but I clicked on all the buttons. Didn't see a way to save onto iphone. I could email it to myself (pro?). Dropbox. Google drive. Evernote. One drive. I found scanner pro. Saves to photo library easy, simple. As good a scan quality as this. Not sure why Tiny would prevent a local save. What is the motive behind that?? Maybe they have a Tiny ulterior motive? Tiny pennies from the internet based services? Might just be Tiny brain syndrome. Just kidding. I'm sure you're quite clever and have a good reason. I don't have a lot of confidence that the reason amounts to anything beneficial to the user. Scanner Pro is free or maybe costs $1.99, can't remember. Interesting that it has so many high reviews. I must be missing it. or for some reason they don't mind.

Brilliant Time Saver!. This app has saved me so much time on multiple occasions. I purchased document feeder equipment for my MAC years ago and since downloading this app I haven't had to use it once. This is so much quicker and the image quality is sharp! The time it would take me to power up my MAC, make sure the document feeder is setup ready to go and to get the document fed into the scanner correctly is all eliminated now. In 1/4 the time I have the document scanned and already emailed to the recipient. Brilliant! I have used other fax services that required a monthly charge of $5-14 and their document sharpness or ease of use was not nearly as good as this app!

Great App.. It allows you to quickly scan multi pages with editing options. Before saving to the final version of your scans you get the option of several color profiles. Cropping the pages is simple and quick which can also be corrected after saving the final version. My suggestions to the developer are: 1. After saving the final version to be able to go back and change the color profile on all the pages at once, not one by one. 2. The option to delete multiple documents at same time and not one by one.

Issues. Every time they make an update, different details begin to fail that make the use more difficult and sometimes inoperative. Now you have to pay to be able to save more of certain documents. I started paying a subscription in order to continue using the application. Today I give up. I notice that in certain folders I can no longer upload more documents which makes me think that I need to pay even more for more storage, but I also realize that in other folders I do have the option to add more documents which confuses me... all of this After the last updates, I didn't want to change the application but if this continues like this I think I will end up canceling my subscription

Great app easy to use. This is a great app simple and easy to use. I use it to scan a doc instead of going to my printer for short docs. The only thing is lining up the image to get a good scan. The image looks just like a real scanned image. You could probably just take a pic of the page but this just makes things a little easier. It has easy to get to crop tools just like a real scanner, Etc. I like certain apps that are just easy simple to use incorporate just the functions that I need. Not adding extra functions that I have to sort through.

My portable office. I absolutely LOVE this scanner/app. It's so efficient and easy to use, it's had to tell that it's an app and not an actual scanner, or is it? Hhhmmmm.... At any rate, being a real estate wholesaler, I'm constantly needing to send contracts or changes to those contracts to legal. In most cases, it's time sensitive and can't wait for me to get back to my home office, but with Tiny Scanner(& Tiny Fax) it's like having your office in your pocket. Whom ever came up with this is an absolute genius and should be given a raise, a bonus or both. Keep up the good work and thanks for making my life a whole lot simpler. 😜👍🏾

My go-to scanning app. I've tried several other iPhone scanning apps, and Tiny Scanner is by far my favorite. I've used it to file my taxes on the road, put sheet music on my iPad, and quite a few other things. It is fast, stable, simple, and very reliable. Edge detection and color correction are superior, and it also works faster (fewer taps and less lag) than other apps I've tried. It is much more efficient than my flat-bed scanner which is now relegated to special use cases. I rarely need OCR (text recognition) but in those situations I usually use Snap2PDF. Other than that, for me it's Tiny Scanner all the way!

Quick and easy. I hate dealing with time consuming scanners. Scan to the computer upload to email send to self so it's available on my phone to distribute when needed. Tiny Scanner has taken the BS out of the equation. Simply open the app snap a picture of one or more documents when you're done hit the back home button and title your PDF. Once you title it it returns you to the home projects screen. Select which one you want to send and do it. All from the comfort of your phone. No hassle at all. Thanks

Tiny Scanner. Has a lot of good stuff and a lot of disappointment as well for me. I am not a natural learner when it comes to technology. It’s hard for me to learn any technology, including reading directions on what to do. But my biggest pet peeve is the different apps seem to start off with the presupposition that the person trying to learn app has a good foundation. I wish exactly one of these. When I’m trying a new app that I really need, I get so frustrated because I don’t even know where to start and I don’t understand what they’re saying. That’s my problem with tiny scanner as well. I need it, I want it, it hates me!!!

Works great for music. I am in high school and I'm in band. I am terrible with keeping musicI lose it all the time. I started using this app and immediately fell in love with using it. The picture is fantastic and I highly recommend getting the full version through the in app purchase or the app. Whenever I get new music the first thing I do now is scan it in 10 seconds, and boom if I lose it I email it to myself and I print it(I've done this way more than I should have) and will always use this app as my scanner for whatever I need it for thanks keep it up!

Great when traveling!🛩. I use tiny scan when I'm traveling and don't have access to a scanner. Today I used tiny scan because my husband needed copies of SS cards and birth certificates for our insurance at work. So I just took a quick picture with my phone sent it off and done! Easy easy! If I didn't have tiny scan I would've had to take it to work, make a copy, put it in the scanner, and email it to him then bring it home and hope and pray that it gets put back in the same spot. With tiny scan there's no worry of documents getting lost!

Great Scanner. I’ve used this app for some time now and I think it’s a great one! It’s super easy to navigate. I finally upgraded to the full version, recently, so I could batch process several scanned pages. I did have one quirk with the batch processing that occurred periodically, which I’m still unsure why: occasionally, a couple pages would be out of order when I opened the file in Adobe. In scanner, the pages were in the correct order but in Adobe one page was not. But, I think this scanner is great, overall!

Convenient & friendly application. Tiny Scanner came in handy when I was hospitalized and with no access to a scanner. I was able to keep up with my normal workload of documentation using Tiny Scanner. However after I traded in my iPhone 6s for an iPhone 7, I can no longer email the documents produced. I am tend to try the upgraded version ( The free version restricts you to two documents, so I had to upload and delete documents to make room for more, and the upgraded version has no file limit. ) I'm sure The problem will be quickly resolved by the Tiny Scanner team.

Easy to use - don’t want to pay 4.99 now, but may, to store my docs. Easy to use - don’t want upgrade, but signed the free offer and may stick with it: needed to send a multi-page set of images of past invoices to a customer today; have been this app using for years; but I see my past images have disappeared, now that 4.99 is being sought… I may keep this app and pay for it just for the convenience of (I assume) my past documents staying in your storage over the years

Useful!. I really like this app. It’s helped me ‘scan’ documents that I don’t otherwise have a scanner at home for. It’s quick and simple. I wish there were more options for the free version or the prices were a little better for the monthly/annual price since I don’t use it everyday. It’s like a once a month or so when I need to use the app. Either way, I really don’t mind deleting other scans to make space for new scans and keep with the free version. I recommend this app. Simple, easy to use, and all the features I personally need. A+

One of my most-used apps!!. I love this Tiny Scanner app! From important school-related information to business receipts, I use this app to stay organized and cut down on paperwork clutter. If you can take a picture on your smartphone, you can quickly scan those important papers you don't want to lose! I really like how easy it is to review and re-scan items if need be. Another great feature Tiny Scanner offers is being able to select what type of item you are capturing, whether it be a paper or photo, black and white or color. I highly recommend Tiny Scanner!

Best App. I'll keep it brief. This has been one of the best and usefulness apps I've ever purchased. As an artist, the applications are endless. In practical, everyday use, it can be amazing. My wife needed a copy of a receipt to benefit from a purchase. I had accidentally put it in my pocket and was an hour or so away in order to help her out by giving the receipt to her in person. I scanned the receipt, sent it to her and the store was able to read the barcode on the scan so she could get Beats speaker with her new iPhone purchase. I was amazed at the resolution with the help of the Tiny Scanner.

A life-altering app!. After getting this app, I went right out and spent a couple of hours at the library scanning music from big collected editions. Tiny Scanner even lets you change the default page size to accommodate a large book format! You have to fiddle a bit to compensate for bound materials that don’t lie completely flat, but it’s not difficult to figure out. This app has already paid for itself several times over—faster and cheaper than photocopying, and having everything in PDF files rather than sheaves of paper is really convenient. Love love love it!

I’ve had this for years…. I got the recommendation to download this from my boss’s boss’s boss years ago- to send documents instead of sending pictures. This app can snap it’s own pictures if you hold it still long enough. You can have the document turned into PDF or JPEG. If you upgrade, you can keep a history of what you sent, for as long as you need them. I use this for work, medical reasons, or personal if I need to download the trash and recycle schedule for the year. I would recommend this app to anyone, no doubts.

Works like a Champ!. Been using for years to “pdf” my hand written notes. Save them in google drive. And somehow it can parse my chicken scratch. I also scan all my receipts, manuals, warranty stuff etc. Makes it so easy to find. My only gripe is - I want to see if I can change the default naming convention to something a little different. Example want to default name to be ‘YYYY-MM-DD Daily Notebook’ or similar. Would not be surprised it is currently possible- just have not done the research yet. PS - seems you have either improved the document edge detection’ or I am just getting better at ‘aiming’ my camera.

The best scanner!. Absolutely amazing and a great tool for students. You can capture a piece of paper at a slight angle and adjust where the edges should be and it'll correct it to look flat. Also there's an option that cleans up the image so it looks scanned rather than a picture with shadows. I used tiny scanner all the time for labs where I needed to insert a printed graph into my report. It's definitely the best scanner app out there. Also it's free! The upgrade probably makes things more convenient but I never got it and I'm still very satisfied.

This app is genius. I am so greatful for this app! It has made submitting my homework so easy and effective because it is on my phone which means I can scan, send, and upload my files from anywhere no matter where I am to meet online homework submission deadlines. Before finding this app, I was frantically running to the library trying to scan my work worried that it would close before I got out of class to submit my work. I am so greatful for such an innovative app that takes the load off of students such as myself.

Great App. I work at a Mobile Veterinary Hospital which is almost completely paperless. However, I have to scan in many patients’ vaccine/medical history on a daily basis. This app is a lifesaver for our mobile business. I have absolutely no complaints with the full version; it was totally worth the money. I only knocked off one star because the free version only lets you do an extremely limited amount of scans, so you would have to delete them very often in order to create and send multiple new documents. For someone who will be using it every day, the full version is the way to go.

Tiny Scan Is a Great Scan. This tiny scan app is really practical and easy to use, and it even makes "PDF "documents. It files in a logical location in my dropbox account. I had to figure out where the document was; but once I did that I was OK with that. From a laptop the documents can even be changed to a different location. I have not figured out a way to do that on my phone, but at least I know the system and can find the document. So I really like it.

It works great but.... It works great for the occasional scan but if you want all the features you have to get a monthly subscription. And now it is asking me to watch an add to get one time pro features it is just so annoying that all the apps are going to monthly subscriptions that cost a ton of money rather than being able to buy them! And it doesn’t have that many more features anyway. Over all good for the free version but expect annoying adds and limited use unless you pay 4.99 per month. Also the adds are all for other scanner apps! I already have a scanner so I definitely won’t be clocking to download five more!

Scanning is easy and great quality ... though. I have used this scanner for travel and sending important signed documents for business. The only problem that I came access was that in the process of scanning, it stopped before every page was scanned and asked me for money ??? I had the misconception this was a free app. Of course upgrades and in app purchases. But to stop me from scanning 4 pages and then ask for money to continue seems Bit manipulative and forceful. Great quality and product though.

Not great. It crashes after a couple scans so you have to reopen it and continue. It saves your progress (but you can’t rename after the crash) so if you can deal with that it’s not bad. It doesn’t connect properly to OneDrive constantly tells me incorrect email address (on multiple OneDrive accounts). Sends 2 copies of the PDF when I email it. Doesn’t register the page 100% so I have to hit the full picture button every time (would be better if I could save a setting that would automatically do full picture every time). Other than that it allows you to choose the size of the file when emailing. Probably worth keeping an eye out for a better scanner app.

I couldn't do my job w/o this app!. This app has been an incredible time saver since I've downloaded it upgraded to pro as an in-app purchase. $4.99 is a small price to pay for a scanner anywhere you go. I have encouraged my CEO and CRO to download the app as well. The quality for a telephone scanner is wonderful. I automatically save my documents to dropbox, and while law… I can transfer them wherever they need to go. This is much faster than using a flatbed scanner with no document feeder. I am blessed to be able to work offsite the majority of the time, and this is facilitates remote working.

This Works...Until It Doesn't. I relied on this without testing it first, and had mixed results. The small handout I scanned worked fine - it definitely looks like I just snapped a picture of it rather than a lrofession pdf, but at least I had the ability to email the information. There is an unspoken limit on pages, however, so the main document I scanned is now stuck in my phone. The app won't let me email or print it and won't tell me why - it just shuts down rather than prompting me to buy the pro version or do anything else to get access to the document. The unreliability, along with the unprofessional look of the scans, means I'll be deleting this app and searching for a better option for my business.

Lifesaver at work. I do not have readily available scanning access for important documents at my work. This app has eliminated that barrier. It is easy to use, the documents are clear, and I am able to get requested items to different people in a matter of minutes. It is also great to use when you need to upload a receipt for things like flexible spending counts. I recommend this to many of my colleagues who are all now big fans. I highly recommend going with the pro version so that you can keep a record of the documents that you have scanned.

Appxy doesn’t update their apps.. I had an app from appxy called Bill Keeper. I absolutely loved it. I used it for every bill I had to keep track of for almost 2 years. The new iOS came and they decide they aren’t going to update the app. I have sent numerous emails but no response and absolutely no update from them. All of my information and bill information that I have been keeping track of is now unattainable in their app. Word of warning don’t use their apps and if you do be aware that they may not update them leaving you with any of your important information behind. Just a fair word of warning, I wouldn’t EVER use one of their apps again because of this. Why would I want to loose all of my stuff because a company is too lazy to update an app?
