Good pick up. This ap picks up my voice and plays back strong. I have also used it in meetings and it picked up presenters voices also as well.

Ok, but can’t rewind or fast forward. Love the quality of recording on this! So frustrated that there is no rewind or fast forward with this app! I use this for my college classes so I can listen to them again. There are times when I miss something and want to rewind, but I have to start at the beginning. Very frustrating!

Peetsmeboo. It is somewhat tricky to learn how to use, and the manual could be written and organized better, but that might just be me. I wanted a simple audio recording app for my tablet so that I won’t miss a class I can’t be present for. I think this should work well. It records for a long time and is clear enough. Love the Continuous PlayBack!. I record musical ideas with my phone and I had yet to find a recording app that plays each file one after the other, until I downloaded this one! Love it! I can listen to my musical ideas as one continuous stream, which is fantastic.

High Quality. Pesky Dialogs.. Several reviewers have mentioned The fact that the app has a pop-up that frequently asks the user to rate the app. I think that’s why the overall rating for the app is as low as it is. If I haven’t already found another app, I will purchase this one when this is fixed.

Can’t use the recordings. I physically can’t access them or export them. I have no way to use the recordings I have already. If I’m mistaken I’ll change the review but for now I can’t use them so it is a bad app for recording audio

Simple interface. This is a simple interface and works fine for recording notes and playing back your recordings.

Multiple upgrades needed for it to be functional.. Why do I need to upgrade in order to send the file??? Why do I need to upgrade AGAIN to be able to grip the recording. Really- just make it paid to begin with, or only offer the pro upgrade. If I knew every add on was a-la-Carte, I would have spent $5 just to avoid the hassle.

Good product. As a secretary for non profit groups, I record meetings to make it easy to produce accurate minutes. This app does the job on my iPhone.

Great Resource and Tool. I have found this to be a very valuable resource. It allows me to record hours of lectures and in the comfort of my own home and at my own pace (very important ), play back all that was said. This enables me to capture all that I may have missed in the classroom or corporate meeting .

Instant pro is me. It was so easy! Now I record my own songs and storytelling! If not going for pro it will make sentimental gift. Easy to use. Next will try to export or combine or edit tracks. Great fun I also like cove app for easy grooving

Exactly what I have been looking for.. Get this app. Very simple to use.

No different from the default mic app on IOS. It doesn’t hold your place. Sometimes it just randomly skips back to the beginning - v frustrating! Especially when it turns to the lock screen, you re-open your phone and it will skip back. 15 second back or forth would be a useful function... Expandable timeline for longer clips would also be useful... Point markers for longer clips anyone - yes please! Larger timeline so it’s easier to click on etc etc... Not difficult to implement I’m sure, but not available.

The instant the thought hits you it is ready. I have been using this app for a very long time. I have hundreds of notes over the years. It is very convenient.

Buyer BEWARE. It is not user friendly. It’s not easy enough to upload to a Social Media or Podcast Account. Your asked to purchase inside NO ADS then not able to transfer what YOU dictate for the reason you purchased the app! Another rip off!

“Free” app is unusable nonsense. Tried dictaphone. Figured I’d upgrade it as required. Made a thirty minute dictation. When I went to listen to it, I realIzed there isn’t even a pause button or scroll control. All you can do is play or stop-and-fully-rewind. Give me a break, their free version isn’t even skeletal, it’s emaciated. Basically you’ve taken my dictation and held it hostage unless I pay you a 1.99 so I can download it to something useful. Real garbage. And not at all a reasonable implementation of free-with-paid-Add-ons. Deleted.

Love it. It’s a good app if you want to record lectures! You can record and be able to take a picture of the board WHILE IT STILL RECORDS. So it’s perfect for colleges students

Annoying. This dictaphone is ok in terms of sound quality but is really annoying in that I can’t just scroll back a few seconds while listening to a recording. They should at least have -15 seconds playback. I end up popping back minutes behind, it’s especially bad on the small iPhone that I use, and I have to rehear the annoying voice a professor I interviewed, over and over. Also, the dictaphone app is continuously heckling me about giving it a rating, so I finally did

Rev. I am very pleased with Dictaphone, I have been able to record talks, and I like being able to type in the title of the talk so I can go back to.

Works good. Free and not too hard to operate. Records seminars accurately on the “normal” setting with very reasonable iPhone battery drain.

Does not work as it should. I bought this for recording notes as I inspect my apiary. I had hoped to use with my Bluetooth headset. Unfortunately enabling the headset causes feedback because it doesn’t seem to turn off the phones speaker. Also seems to have problems if it can’t detect either a cell connection or a Wi-Fi connection.

Nothing special. I was looking for a hands free recorder for my phone. You know, open with my Bluetooth, initiate recording using Bluetooth buttons, stop recording using Bluetooth buttons. While driving or walking or whatever. This app advertises itself as hands free. There is nothing hands free about this app, other than it eliminates picking up a pencil and paper to record notes. LIKE EVERY OTHER VOICE RECORDER EVER MADE.

Great App. Thanks for a great app - I’m finally free from a PC-based system that sometimes brought me back to the office on weekends for dictating. Turns out, my transcriptionist says voice quality from the iPhone sound files is better than from my old dictaphone!

User manual. User interface is only mildly user friendly. In the app, go to the section called “About” and you will find a link that lets you download a user app. Developers otherwise will have you believe all you get to guess is their web page high level descriptions of the functions and some you tube apps with front end ads. Generally guys, you need someone to help you run your business. You’ll do better if can get that!

Meeting recording. Good for person to person starts to drop down as others enter

Simple to use. I just started using this app and love it. I do mindful meditation while walking and like to use the dictaphone to record profound thoughts, then listen and document them when I get home.

So far so good. Does what I need it to do- record voice and list recordings.

Good. It's good, it does what it suppose to do. Small holes for improvements as it hangs at times.

Great for meetings. I have used this to record a number meetings that vary in length to over 90 minutes. I picks up all the conversations in large rooms. It is an excellent tool for minutes of meetings. It is easy to skid Le through the meeting and fast forward to specific places. Great app.

Needing help with this app I have recorded my home when I'm at work and and when I'm listening back over the recordings I can slightly hear my partner and a woman in the background ... Good basic use. Getting hang of features ie playback ,editing recording . Good for my basic use of learning to record my voice . Worthwhile &handy.

Dictaphone does the job.. Found this dictaphone picks up every background sound. Generally the play back quality is very good and clear. Have found on playback the app drops out a number of times. When you go back into the app the recording does not start where it dropped out. It starts from the beginning again which is frustrating when trying to finalise minutes and the recording runs up to 60 minutes. Fast forwarding the playback doesn’t always work. The app drops out and I am having to go back to the start of the recording again. I was hoping dictaphone would save me time with minutes but it’s taken a lot longer due to the drop outs.

Dear ALON Sotware Ltd I recorded a precious conversation Q&A with my dad however to my surprise the file has disappeared from the app. I decided to purchase the premium version however still unfound to date. Excellent quality. I have used this app to record meetings in boardrooms that have been over an hour in length and have found the sound collection and recorded quality to be excellent.

Can’t export. As good as other similar apps in the store but with this one you can’t export the files to anywhere (including your iCloud or computer) unless you pay. I find that dishonest. There are free versions that don’t trap you and your recordings.

Catch out. Easy open. I'm looking for a quick catch.

Beware of the adds. Another APP that has adds that you need to spend 0.99c to remove then. This isn’t good for a business APP as so distracting while using it

A bit buggy. The recording part was smooth, quality of the sound is great. But when you are trying to listen, bugs appear and experience becomes unbearable. It’s really hard to find a spot in the recording that you need, tapping on the audio progress bar is challenging, fast-forward and back buttons don’t work. Here’s another bug: when phone goes to screen saver and after a while you pause it from the locked screen, if you go back and unlock it, and then unpause it in the app - the recording will start not from the place you paused it last, but from some other much earlier time. I wrote it in hopes that someone will fix it, please do!

Better. This is better than the paid version. Best to buy the paid version, download and then remove it. Switch back to this version with the added functionality. The he paid version has let me down too many times when recording "just" stops. This version"simply" works.

Life Changing. This app is transforming my business, and introducing new thought processes. As a hands on engine builder in the Motorsport industry, I am now making constant notes to implement and improve processes that streamline the order in which we build an engine. Right from first contact now with a customer in the quoting process, right through to the end of a finished and tested engine, we are relying on processes that I'm building and constantly refining with the convenient help of this great little app.

ABSOLUTE RUBBISH. I will be surprised if they allow my review to be visible but here goes. This is a warning to all who want to use this app for business. Do no. Don’t rely on it working effectively as it doesn’t. Despite my asking support for help which has gone unanswered I found that not one but twice I have pressed the record button to tape committee meetings it hasn’t recorded the conversation. It happened again today!! I made sure several times that it was recording and it appeared it was. It is only after the meeting was finished and I went to press the stop button did I realize it hadn’t actually recorded a whole hours worth of a meeting. Be wary. Be very very wary.

A great assistant!. I use this wonderful app to learn lines for plays I am in. It is especially helpful at present as I have three different plays on the go! A must have!

Positive review. This app is perfect in almost all areas. There is one field I would strongly recommend for an update and that is an edit tab. After pressing the stop button there is no returning to edit any further on the original recording. Otherwise, this very practical and user friendly.

No issues here.. iPhone6s Plus... I use this app twice a week to record lectures that take over two hours each. No issues on playback or audio quality. There’s a small delay between pressing pause and the audio pausing, but otherwise, it does everything I require.

Can’t do anything with files. While the app is free, you have to pay $2.79 to be able to send the file anywhere. It’s completely useless unless you only want to listen to the file in the app.

Je dois cumuler les preuves car je vis un cauchemar, j’avais confiance en cet application jusqu’au moment où je recherchais les enregistrements audio des appels que je ne trouvais aucunement, l’enregistreur fonctionne jusqu’au moment de décrocher l’appareil. So far so good!. This is my first day with Dictaphone; am very impressed…

Best thing I've found .... ... since the voice recorder that came with the Dragon mobile speech recognition application package. It was the only thing in the package that worked at all, and it worked beautifully. This is even better, and at a very reasonable price. I've only been using it a few hours, and I've already thrown away all my other voice recorder apps. I bought the no advertisements extension; well worth the price. It just sits there quietly now, ready for instant use. It's now the most useful app on my iPhone. I have a feeling that I'll probably upgrade to the full app after a while of using it, at which time its usefulness may surpass even that of my Dr. Who sonic screwdriver app. :-)

READ THIS. When you first open the app it takes over 30 seconds to open, more than enough time to forget what you were thinking, get distracted, or have someone walk up and start talking to you causing you to forget. Then before you can hit record it asks if you want to rate... NO I DONT you idiots, I want to record a thought. Then the best part is when you're done recording, the banner up top that you don't want to look at or download drops down and covers your most recent file so you have to tap it before you can play back your recording. This app is a waste of space and time. Do not bother downloading, you'll just end up deleting it like I'm about to do.

Decent for a free app; wish start/stop could be controlled by headphones/asks to rate too frequently. It would be handy tool be able to pause and restart the recording using the headphones controller. It gets annoying that it asks you to rate the app so frequently when you've just started using it. I probably would have given it now stars but haven't had the chance to use it enough yet and have to keep clicking remind me later every time I open it, and sometimes more.

Great app. Love it! Simple functions yet great recording ... what I like the most is that it keeps playing the recording while the screen is off! I tried other voice apps, it seems the recording goes off when the screen is off, so I had to constantly switch my phone back on, it's not effective listening after all! This app doesn't have this problem !

I am in luvvvv.... I have so enjoyed taking this little piece of tech and finally learning and knowing how to use something besides talk or text! After Notes deleted ALL my entries-- ideas, poetry, inventions, quotes, etc. one day I decided I'd have to switch to the old-fashioned method and take out my invention journal and a pen...but my thoughts go so much faster than my hand can write. This brought me to this dictaphone and now, with a couple of $.99 upgrades (I don't care if I can have a good organizational system for all that flows from this frontal lobe of mine) I can finally get every idea in full-color detail. Though I don't like to hear the sound of my own recorded voice, it's a small sacrifice to make for me. Now I need an app that translates from my dictaphone to written word...

Super Simple App!. If you like simple, this is a great app! I really like it bunches!

Great app but crashes. My requirements are that the recorder have folders or categories that can be selected prior to recording. Another requirement is that it has to have good export capabilities. I use the app for when I am training my horses to record notes after each training session. Notes go into the folder for a specific horse. Dictaphone has those capabilities and I have been using it for several months. However, it has started to crash any time I select a different folder. I deleted it from my iPhone 5S. Reinstalled it. And it still does the same thing. I have nine voice recording apps and this one would be the best of the bunch were it not for the crashes. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm going to have to use an alternative recording app to continue my work until the crashes have been fixed.

I love this app!. I've been using this app on my old IPad for a long time , to record any song idea that comes to me before I get a chance to write it down. It works perfectly and helps me to keep track of my creative projects. I use it to record my choir rehearsal too so I can listen and practice my part even when I'm at home, and plays it back crystal clear. I would definitely Recommend this app. Thanks to the creator/creators of this app for sharing one of your excellent work with the world! May you be granted many more inspirations from the universe to create more amazing apps like this one.

Annoying ads blocking the last recording.. This app works fine for what I wanted it for - to be able to record ideas/ things to do, etc., when I think of them without having to find something to write on, and ending up with notes all over the place. But: I guess I have to tolerate the super-annoying ads, but do they have to pop up and land right on top of my list of recordings? I couldn't play back the last one without also touching the edge of the ad, which infuriates me to no end...do they really think the way to get customers is to annoy the **** out of them?

Excellent Tool. I am still new to Dictaphone but so far it has been an excellent tool for me, in my business. In a business where conference calls and meetings come at me in a furious pace, Dictaphone has helped me to keep the information I receive in order, concise and correct. Convenient unexpected use. I subscribe to audio files that can't download directly to my iphone. The newest iteration of itunes has complicated the process of getting these files from desktop to iphone itunes. Turns out it's easy to get them to Dictaphone using airdrop. Easy playback. Easy delete. May not be the main intent of Dictaphone, but I love how much simpler it has made my life.

Hard to send. I want to share a recording and I don’t know how

Not perfect, but does what it does rather well.. I'm a novice about the tech behind digital audio recording, but my experience with using the app has been good. The option to change recording quality is very useful for those of us stuck on 16Gb phones. The app does look a but dated, however, and I have lost a file or two (among dozens) during recording, for reasons I am not sure about (I believe it doesn't like being interrupted by phone calls and other notifications). The free version also has rather distracting ads (which I always end up clicking on without wanting to) so premium is probably worth it to avoid the hassle. Sad that this is now the only way developers think they can generate income, but that's another question. Otherwise, I am favorably disposed to the app, and would therefore recommend it to anyone who is looking to do better than the native voice memo app.

Ssonny. Good recorder, still learning

Love it. Quick and easy way for me to speak my notes. I am a blogger and constantly come up with ideas for a post or revisions to existing ones. I can quickly open Dictaphone create a note for myself, even while I'm driving. I also use it for business. Speaking reminders and things to put on my to do list. I have found no flaws with this app.

Awesome. I like the ability to record in different qualities and formats, it really helps out when I need to have a recording in a certain file type or save space. Only thing this app suffers from is an outdated UI... Looks like a 3G era app. Just polish it and this app is a diamond 💎💎💎💎💎 update: the UI could still use improvement, but it looks like they made new features instead, which is still great

Disappointed. Just didn’t work as advertised I’m sure it’s stalled all the information off my phone wasn’t happy didn’t work as advertised
