Amazing Asset to our Trip!!!. I’ve used the Hana and Oahu Gypsy Guides and LOVED them. They’ve added a rich, EASY depth to our travels — so now we always look for GG whenever we head on a trip. Voice is great; Details are excellent; Ease of use is wonderful. WE LOVE GG!!!!

Fantastic app. We downloaded this after our excursion was canceled. It was probably the best part of our trip so far!! The narrator is very easy to listen to and very informative. The app follows your location very well!!! I would recommend this app to anyone and everyone!! Only two small things would make this app amazing. For it to 100% work while in the background. If you go to a text or listen to Pandora it may skip some of the narrative. Or a couple of the places where you needed to turn off weren’t clearly defined like pipeline beach or turtle Beach. We missed the turn offs for those because he said he would let us know where to turn and didn’t. We just looked up a regular map and realized we’d missed it and turned around. Even the narrative driving back to Waikiki was very informative and fun.

Gypsy Tours. These tours are awesome. They allow you to enjoy the tour w/ the privacy of your own family. You can stop & go as you please; spend as much time or as little, at any of the suggested stops. The ages in our group range from 35 -70 & so far, everyone has enjoyed it. We have purchased the app for Maui & Oahu & sometimes just like to drive around & turn it on to see what the guide has to say. It always provides information about where you are, tips on where to eat & things you should get out & see. Get the full tour! Best $10 you'll spend on the island.

Highly recommend. We Used this app for self driving tours of Maui and Oahu, and it never let us down. It has it all: an informative and interesting audio tour guide, practical tips on where to find parking ( you will need them in Hawaii), snack and meal recommendations, driving directions, and more. We especially appreciated that all the suggestions were timed very well, we never missed a turn. Don't get mislead by the basic graphics, the audio content is rich! I wish we knew about this app on our trip to Yellowstone!

Great Guide. We were researching options for circle island tours of Oahu, but struggled with only getting 10-15 minutes at any stop. So we decided to rent an car and I started looking for self directed suggested tours and GypsyGuide popped up. We decided to go out on a limb and try it! Was the best money we spent ! The commentary was wonderful, funny and informative. We got to see places that not even our friend whom had lived in the island for 3 months knew about. The directions were easy to follow. Great tour , would highly recommend !!

Great App!. Very informative. The narrator guides you through turns just as Maps would. We love the narratives about the history of Hawaii as you drive the route. Also like that it doesn’t try to constantly speak and leaves gaps in the commentary. Just note that it doesn’t guide you to get to the route, only once you’re on it. Use Maps to get to any point on the route then you’re good. The only negative is the huge difference in volume between the narrator and the music interludes. We constantly had to adjust volume until giving up and stopping the music. No big deal.

Browse routes is not working well. Good application in general, but browsing routes before going is rather frustrating as reaching audio comments is not working well, some are available by tapping the arrows but some are stubbornly unresponsive. may be making those circles bigger would help?

Amazing Quality Product. So on a whim I took my teenagers to Oahu for a vacation. Being a no plan type of guy I figured we would just wing it and do stuff. This app was recommended by the lady next to me and what a blessing that was. We spent the first two days of our trip driving around following the guided tour, stopping off at all the recommended roadside stands and areas of interest. Then proceeded to then go back to our favorite spots for the remained of the week. I cannot believe it’s only $10 ! . Get this before you go 100%! PS. please do an Iceland app! Also the dude needs a woman to also chime in occasionally (my daughters comment).

Amazing App for newbies to Hawaii. I used this app to drive around Oahu and Big Island on my Hawaii trip last week. Really awesome app, it gives you information and directions based on where you are at on island. I get how the app works, but it still felt like I had a real time personal tour guide. On Oahu this was all I needed; I thought I’d do the $100+ bus trip, but much happier I used this app with a rental car (less rushed, stop at areas I wanted to) . I used it on Big Island as well , but only on days I drove from Kona to Volcano Park and to Hilo. I did do a $100 big island bus tour, but that was because I didn’t want to drive entire circle myself.

Fantastic, must have App. I have used the Yellowstone, Maui and O'ahu Gypsy Tour apps and absolutely loved each of them. I will definitely buy the app anytime we go to an area that is covered. You do not need to hire a tour guide. All you need is a vehicle, Gypsy Tour on your smart phone and a power cord for your phone to stay charged. The app knows exactly where you are, guides you to all attractions, tells you which ones to skip or not miss, suggested roadside food places and provides lots of historical information. The cost of the app was the best money that we spent on each of our trips. It is outstanding and incredibly helpful.

Buy this app and skip the tour buses!!!. We are currently using this app while on Oahu and I can't tell you how glad I am that I spent the $7 on it! I feel like we are our own tour guides! It's so much more accurate at following our moves than I expected it to be. The timing and cometary are spot on. We named our guide Ralph and he waits in the car for us while we take in the sites ;) We are not staying in the Waikiki area but rather the Ko Olina area but we just picked up the tour at Diamond Head area one afternoon and went almost up to the North Shore. Excited to finish up the rest of the island today! One note- the tour goes counterclockwise and that would be my only "negative" about this app - the option to go either direction would be nice but I still rate it 5 stars because of the price, ease of use and the valuable info it provides! Last thing I would suggest is bring along a adapter cord for the device you are running the app on so you will be able to use your car speakers rather than just your devices speakers. For the 2 of us it was fine but if you have several people in a larger car hearing the guide might be an issue.

Really Great. I'm so glad I downloaded this for my 13 hour layover. I was really impressed with the quality of this app. Clearly, these people spent a lot of time developing and perfecting it. I did need to drive by the starting point twice before the tour was triggered to begin, but that's no big deal. I liked that he knew the ins and outs of the island, and recommended Lanikai Beach and also other useful tips.

Best “Private” Tour Guide. We had a time box, so we picked only the stops that most interested us. We loved being able to discover great new things, and skip what we wanted. We even took our own stops and detours along the route and the guide caught up as soon as we returned to the route. Super high quality.

I live on Oahu. I have lived here several years and I still learned about areas I had never heard of using the app. His tours are amazing and I recommend them to everyone. The only thing I would change about this one is that he says to avoid the west side of the island. Dude, the west side is the best side. There are so many great hikes out that way and the sunsets are spectacular. Kaena Point is one hike I recommend to everyone who visits me. Heck, my favorite beach is on the west side. Obviously don’t leave anything valuable in your car but that’s recommend for anywhere you go on island.

Great App! Love it!. We visited the islands this past December. I bought the Oahu and Big Island ahead of time and then wished I bought the others in advance as well. I can’t say enough good things about the app. As you drive, the narrator gives a tour as you drive over dots on the road telling you which places not to miss and which to save if you are short on time. In addition, he tells fun little tidbits about the island.

Best Tour Guide Ever. We decided to download this app and rent a car as opposed to paying for tour excursions. The money we saved paid for the rental car. The information this app provide was great, and led us to some sites we had not discovered in our own research. The narrator was funny, had an easy to understand voice and gave a lot of history we found interesting a normal tour guide normally wouldn’t give or you wouldn’t be able to hear. The information was well spaced out so you had the right amount of silence and talking, and the app provided directions on turns faster and more accurately then the map app we had running. The only thing I wish the app did was cache the tracks it had already played and not play them again unless marked to do so. As Oahu only has a couple main highways we found ourselves traveling over the same areas during the time we were there and would hear the same information. We started playing the app once we got to new areas. Other then that it was great and we will continue to buy the app in any other locations they offer this service!

Great app. We enjoyed the app. The narrator was informative and timely. I did wish that at some points beginning around the North shore, a mention of how far or how long it would take to get back to Waikiki would have helped me plan how long to stay at certain spots. Great app for the price couldn’t have made my drive without it!

So much to see on Oahu. We thought of Oahu as just Honolulu, Waikiki and Pearl Harbor. This app showed us so many beautiful treasures on the island! We highly recommend this Gypsy Tour. We’re heading out now to do the Kauai Gypsy Tour❤️

Fun Tours in Oahu. We purchased this app to tour around Oahu. The driving directions and tips were clear and very timely. We honestly would have driven right by some of the most beautiful and memorable spots had our tour guide not told us that these were "no miss" sights. It was brilliant and quite entertaining. A fellow tourist poolside at our hotel bragged to me that they got a great deal ($179 for four) for an excursion to the USS Memorial. She quickly changed the subject when I told her we toured the entire Island and learned and saw so much for just $6.99 - the cost of downloading the app! I'd definitely purchase it again when touring other locations.

Awesome!. We rented a car and drove around Oahu, Hawaii. This app was so informative and lots of fun. You feel like you have your own local tour guy in the car with you.

Absolutely best $7 spent on vacation!. I can't even begin to tell u how good this app is. We took the north shore tour on sat and pearl harbor plus east island on sunday completing the island in just two days. Took 1000 beautiful pics along the way. The narrator was very precise with the directions it's unbelievable! Wife loved it when he pointed out the next fruit stand where she got a reasonably priced jack fruit! Couple of things for improvement: 1. Can you make an option toTake us to your closest tour route from wherever we are? 2. More timing details would be nice we ran late on the north shore tour. 3. Did not tell us about sea life park even tho it's right on the east island route? We saw it anyway Still this app deserves 6 stars no joke! Thank you!

Ok information, problems with use.. We downloaded this app right after we got done with the Road to Hana GyPSy guide which was great. But we were unable to get this app to function properly with a phone synced with usb cord to the stereo. It would play about half of the description, and then begin to play the first (by alphabet) song in my iTunes music list. We’d have to pause and try to rewind, sometimes we could get the information sometimes we couldn’t. When we got the information, it was mostly good. I think the Dole Plantation was a total bust and I wouldn’t have stopped there. Maybe if the first song in my iTunes wasn’t totally annoying I would have enjoyed this more.

Oahu tour. Absolutely fantastic! Cannot recommend it enough. We came to love the narrator so much we gave him a name! Directions were far better than GPS. Thanks for helping us make our Hawaiian vacation so pleasurable. Will use this guide at other locations.

Must have app if you are driving Oahu. This app is like having a relative who moved here a decade ago showing you around the island, corny jokes and all. But it’s really a great tour and will show you things you wouldn’t see or give you history or facts that you’d never know. Sure you could look it up or research places to go, but this will tell you about them as you drive there and give you directions along the way. Well worth the few bucks.

The best guide ever!. This is our second time using Gypsy tours. We LOVED the Yellowstone one and were so happy to use this Oahu one as well. He helped us find our favorite beach of all. He was with us on our entire vacation. We love the history lesson as well. I tell all my friends about it and include it in my blog. You will not be disappointed!

The best vacation $ you will spend.. My entire family absolutely loved this app. We toured Oahu clockwise and loved so much we did half again in reverse. My daughters looked up the narrator and “talked” to him during our tour. This is the best $8 you will spend.

Absolutely awesome!. I have been to Hawaii many times and never had such a great tour of island. The voice on the app is so pleasant and friendly and informative. He anticipates all your questions and offers very informative information automatically as u pass locations. He directs u perfectly to each location and u actually feel like he is in the car with you because he tells u what u are seeing. This is best app I have ever downloaded.

Worth way more than low cost!. I live on Oahu for work. Despite the many guides and services available to tell you what the island features are, nothing beats the flexibility of a self guided tour. This app goes beyond that, and offers a friendly companion who knows exactly what you need along your visit. The history narrations are priceless and can send you down great explorations of the different topics relevant to the island. My wife and I often do the hop on hop off tours to get the history and find out what’s available locally in given area. Well, having this app is like owning your very own private tour. We love it!!

Oahu. Great tour guide. We had such a great time while driving around the island and using the app. We had fun and learned at the same same time. It was like Sheldon Coppers fun with flags. The information supplied was great for the whole family. It gave side tours if you had time and kept up with location. I would recommend this app as it was recommended to us.

Great App. I’ve been to Oahu many times but on this occasion I brought some friends that wanted to see the whole island. I bought the app because i used the same company App on Maui. It is just a great program. It’s spot on with locations and provides good commentary. It divides the island up in 4 ways and you choose what you want to see. I had a technical issue and called the help number fully intending to listen to pre recordings. I was shocked when I got a real person and got personal service. I’ve never been more impressed with an app. Highly recommend this app.

Highly recommended. I don’t typically write an actual review for an app, so the fact that I’m doing that means a lot! This app was perfect. We considered taking a circle tour of Oahu while on vacation. At several hundred dollars a person, we opted to rent a car and tour the island ourselves. Randomly, I came across this app and can say that I’m glad I did. It is incredibly accurate and makes traveling safe and comfortable from your own car. The ONLY thing I’d recommend is that there be a function to control the guidance volumeZ every time the narrator spoke, I had to turn the volume up in the car, and then back down once he was done. But even with that, I still give it 5 stars without hesitation!

Hurricane Lane. This app is so nice. We loved it. It is informative AND entertaining! I came to Oahu 10 years ago in 2008 and paid for an island tour. And it is so true, those island tours stop at places you don’t care about and don’t stay long enough at The places you do want to see. You can rent a car through TURO app for a few days, cheaper than a family could take an island tour. (It may not be good for older folks Or paranoid people that shouldn’t be driving in new places though )This time I knew I wanted to stay on the north shore and stay away from the crowds. This app was so perfect for our trip. Between getting the info from it and using google maps when we were not on the tour it was a Nice combo !

Very well done. The GPS integration is genius. The automated tour guide comments on upcoming sites, turns that you have to make, etc. perfectly. The historical content thrown in with the narration is also excellent. When you compare this to what a guided tour would cost – where you don't have any flexibility to stop for an hour and do something else when you want - this is a steal. A slight quibble is that if you get off course it really won't bring you back. It just remains silent until you have returned to its route. But this is minor.

Great app!. This is a great app. We used the one on Maui and bought this one for our day on Oahu! We named him Don Ho! (had to be a Hawaiian name since we were on the islands!) we started at pearl Harbor, went to the north shower then all the way back to Diamond Head. He pointed out all the stops along the way!! Sometimes we needed to see the map while he was talking. This would be the only change I would make. I still give it 5 stars though!! We told many people about this app while there!! I would call this the number one thing to take on your trip!!! Aloha!!

Great tour!. The tour was great. Worked perfectly, I only got off track in a couple places, but I would blame that on the Honolulu traffic. Some of the recommended stops are places I never would have come up with on my own. Honestly the only fault I see is in the name... I know you’ve built a brand, but it’s hard to recommend to friends when the name includes a word many see as a slur.

Good but not as good as Maui Gypsy Guide. Great app but compare to the Maui Gypsy guide this not so good but for 6.99 its good purchase and helpful. Map showing wrong path in at least one place and that took me to the other side of the island. Map always showing north facing which is difficult to follow.

Very enjoyable app. Well worth the cost.. This app made the drive around Oahu so much more interesting. Many insights. Points out sights you wouldn’t know. Gave history, geology, culture. A must.

Great Help, Worth Every Penny. We were driving around Honolulu not knowing where to go next and I'd seen an ad for this app so I went and bought it. Once I had it downloaded we had a tour guide in our car with us. As a result we were able to visit all kinds of scenic viewpoints and attractions right away. We did both the Island Circle and Volcanoes tours, and came back for a couple of things we didn't have time to do during the drive. A couple suggestions, make it play nice with iTunes Player so I can listen to music and just get a pause / resume when an arrow comes up. Also, the Pearl Harbor "tour" just seems like directions to the parking lot, was there something I missed? The commentary is so good, why not add more tours around the island? Mahalo for the fun tours!

Great but for 1 things. I thought this app was really well done. The commentary was very clear. But here's the rub. You have to drive in the direction of the arrows. I wanted to go from waikiki along the SW coast, then up the windward side. The 1st half was great, but then the trip i was on returned to waikiki. I wanted to continue up along to the north shore. Only problem was even though i was now on a different tour, i was going opposite direction of the arrows. You get no commentaries when you go against the arrows. Ok, so heres what i want. A reverse tour direction button.

Very useful. We have used the Gypsy apps in several places in Hawaii and the mainland US. We love it. It gives you lots a very useful information. It is educational and tells stories. All ages will love it!

Amazing!. My hotel concierge actually recommended this app to me and I’m SO glad she did! The narration is very clear, informative and fun! I loved his little jokes throughout the tours! We learned so much about Oahu and saw the best sites! I loved how he gave advice about “can sees” vs “must sees” and details about how much time things will take so we could make the best decision based on our schedule! I highly highly recommend this app!

Impressed!. So impressed that I’m writing a review. I’ve never written a review for an App. That’s how impressed I am with this app. We affectionately named our guide Mr. Man. Mr. Man is the most pleasant and helpful guide I’ve ever had. Appreciate the driving directions and the stories and history. Have to say this beats all other alternatives hands down. While there were just a couple of sites I missed due to lack of attention on my part, I had the opportunity to see and learn so much more than if I did self guide.

Kids loved it!. We recently used this app while in Oahu for a week. We didn't want to take a circle island tour because with three little kids they needed to go on our own pace. The kids nick named the narrator "Steve" and complained of we had to have "seri" tell us where to go and not Steve. They liked his jokes and my husband thought his navigation was much better than mine! It worked super slick with the GPS. Only drawback is it goes only counter-clockwise around the island. When we were going the other way you just had to manually select what arrows you were near and ignore the driving directions. Best money we spent on this trip!! Well worth the price!

Best Friend to Travel With!!!!. We first heard about GyPSy Guide when we went from Banff to Jasoer. We found it incredibly informative and entertaining. So on our first trip to Hawaii, I got the island package and first used it on Kauai. I really can’t say enough superlative words about the app. It was obvious on the road to Jasper how it worked because there was only one road, but it worked just as beautifully with choices. “Fred” helped us choose where to go, gave us lots of information about the history, culture, geology, and flora/fauna and weather. It tells you what is a must see and what to do or pass up depending on time. He speaks with humor and has a good voice. I like how he reminds of previous stories and continues them at various points. It was great for our 2 days on Oahu and then the 7 days on the Big Island. “Fred” even did a great job of explaining not only what to see in Volcano National Park and how to use our limited time wisely, but also about the important geology, history and biology related to the park. I seriously will purchase every single one available for every road trip or vacation we do from now on!!!!

Great experience! Mahalo. Absolutely worth every cent. Take time in Kailua- go to Buzz’s steak house and also take your time in Haleiwa- tons of shrimp trucks after you get through the tourist part. The directions were really clear and easy to follow.

Love Bob our personal tour guide. Very informative and helpful. Didn't need maps or reference books on what to see. We did the circle tour of Oahu and did not have enough time. Ended up driving the scenic part at dark. Would be good to have more of a timeline included. Ie, allow xx amount of time at this stop etc. other than that, awesome. Look fwd to Pearl Harbour tomorrow

Loved this App!. We hired a car for the day and purchased this App. What a great decision! We avoided the tour bus crowds and did the sites at our leisure. The commentary was excellent and the driving instructions were spot on e.g. Telling us which lane to be in, when to turn etc If you are considering purchasing this app - set out early as there is a full day of sight seeing ahead. Don't forget to take your USB lead to plug in your device as I don't think your battery will last the day. One slight frustration was not being able to zoom out on the map to get a clear overview of the route. Perhaps it was my phone! A couple of times we referred to Google maps to get an overview and work out where we were. We had a great day. Now just need to revisit a few favourite places so we can spend a bit more time there.

Amazing!. This app was everything we wanted and plus some! Was fantastic to get some history on areas we went pass, even finding hidden gems we didn’t even know about, nor did our full day paid tour we booked take us to. Would recommend this over booking a full day island tour anytime, as you can visit everything at your own pace and not miss a thing!

Great App. Very Informative.

Worth every penny and then some!. This was the best purchase of our trip. It was fantastic having our own personal tour guide. The accuracy and timing of all the information and directions was exceptional. We were quoted $200 per person for a circle island tour where you are on someone else’s schedule. We hired a car for 3 days for less than it would have cost us for one tour, $11 for the app and we could do each part in our own time, the app even gave us recommendations of what to do at the stops. I can not recommend this app highly enough!

The best way to truly experience Hawaii!. We loved the gypsy guide! It was so easy to use and allowed us to find places along the way that you wouldn't necessarily know about. If you want to get away from the main touristy areas then this is perfect. Couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Good content but does not work as stated. We downloaded this app with high expectations, the content was very good , however once we got outside the city in Hawaii we lost gps , we tried all the trouble shooting tips to no avail , once we got back within the city the gps returned and we had it all on the next tour , which was not over the mountain ranges, also the tour guides had to be manually activated they did not auto work when you drove over them as stated . A shame - otherwise a good app .

Excellent. It's self driving tour is the best driving tour you can do - highly recommend it. Our guide ( who we nicknamed Charlie!) gives clear easy to follow instructions. He also offered some great local knowledge and stories that we wouldn't have known just by visiting.

Not worth it. Not worth paying for. Drove up to the north shore and the app spoke about random history facts which is fine but we wanted to hear about the things we were driving past and where to stop more often to see the main tourist spots and beaches ect.

What a guru guide. What a voice. A friend suggested this app. A trusted friend. So we bought the app and hired a car *. The app worked like a dream from the moment we launched it. It felt like guide was in the car with us all the way. Never intruding, always guiding. And with easy options. The slight increase in seriousness of tone when advising in critical driving decisions was most helpful - especially at this was my first day ever driving in America, and on the wrong side of the road **. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (Do it over 2 days If you can) *We are from Australia and using our “.au”‘domain suffix, we were able to book a much cheaper car hire rate than booking locally or in store (thanks Dollar Guy for this advise) **in Australia we drive on the other side of the road. Like having a local friend in the car. My husband and I recently used the app and can not rate it highly enough. The information was great and always spot on. As we come from Australia we were very worried about driving on the other side of the road, having the app meant we could do the 'tour' and really relax and enough it. We looked at doing a coach tour but didn't want to be told how long we could spend at each place - with the app you do everything in your own time. My only issue is that it is not available for everywhere - it was a highlight of our holiday.

A must purchase!. I was skeptical at first given the price tag but this app is a must have! There are so many great stories, spots to stop, restaurants to visit, and more information on the culture and history of Hawaii. You don’t need to use data while using the app and the information is different depending on the direction. Don’t think twice get this app! It’s the first thing we recommend to friends going to Hawaii and we always get great feedback on how much they loved it. I just wish there were more places they did this for, hopefully soon!

Hidden Gem. This app was absolutely incredible! My gf and I rented a car and this app took us around the whole island educating us about Hawaiian history, culture and customs while suggesting activities we would've never done ourselves. It is informative, accurate and interesting. It doesn't use your data once you've downloaded it. My only suggestion is that they should add a feature to let you know when you've gone off track. This is honestly the best app I've ever used and it allowed us to see Hawaii stress free on our own time.

Needs Flexibility. A good product with quality info, but the lack of flexibility in route choice was frustrating. I think this app can still be effective if the context of the tour is not limited to a specific direction. We enjoyed the style of the speaker and learned several new things along the way. We just had to hear the tour in reverse unfortunately.

Best app ever. Worked great best app ever , was like he was traveling in the back seat , great travel guide and driving guidance!! Had other travel apps and GPS this one by far the best and I will be telling everyone I know that’s traveling it is a must to have , it made my dream holiday on Oahu

Needs work. Great app the minute u allow people to join anywhere on route and in any direction. Today's technology can handle that but this forces u to drive always in one specific way. Bad design.

Best app to visit Hawaii. Loved it and next time I am looking for an app to guide me around I will surely look if there is one from this company

My first 5 star rating!. My wife and I took a guided tour of the island last year. Cost $200 or so... and we loved it. We thought we could cheat the system by downloading this app. Little did we know, the $7.99 was money incredibly well spent. Simply put, get this if you want to see Oahu. The user experience was immaculate - the 'guide' whom we dubbed 'Chuck' predicted my every question (borderline eerie!). Thank you app!

Great but their other islands are better. I used Gypsy on two other Island (Hana Trail is best) but I felt this island was not given the same attention. Most routes are only recorded in one direction so you have to manual use the recordings if you do things differently. Also, many of the roads have no recordings at all and much of the island is deemed "not that much interesting on this route so you will not hear from me".

Outdated and doesn’t work on ios8. This app was good 2yrs ago but since then it hasn’t had updates. Most importantly app doesn’t run in background and on ios8 devices GPS doesn’t always activate even after rebooting phone and reinstalling app.

Definitely Recommend. Excellent for driving around the island. No need for cell service, works excellent in airplane mode, We haven’t tried other apps so we can’t compare it to others, but would say spend the money on the app, rent a car, and tour the island at your own pace.

Made my trip!. I travelled solo to Oahu. It was my first visit and I wanted to explore the island. I rented a Jeep and stayed in Waikiki as my home base. This app was absolutely awesome. I can not say enough good things. The guide is great... He even cracks jokes every once in a while. I used the app over the course of two days. Some spots I skipped and went back to at a later date during my stay because o wanted more time there. That's the beauty of it... You stop where you want and for how long you want! I'll never do another group tour as long as there is a GyPSy guide available, no joke! Worth every penny!

Buy this app!!!. Used this app over the last two days and all I can say is buy it! If you are traveling to Oahu and are thinking about a tour, forget that tour, rent a car and do it yourself. This app is entertaining and every bit of commentary is spot on. You can do all of it or part of it and do it all on your schedule. We loved it!

SPOT ON. It's like we found a treasure map. Gypsy was very good at navigating and led us to many scenic areas that we could stop at as long as we wanted. It was a great mixture of seeing the beautiful sights in Hawaii and hearing more about the history and culture of the island. And he was quite humorous when he would give tips and helpful hints. If you are traveling and want that extra help getting around, GyPSy is for you!!

Better than a conventional tour. My family decided to get this app after arriving in Hawaii and not knowing whether to get a tour guide or not. We decided to try gypsy and is it wasn’t good, get a tour guide. However, this app exceeded all expectations.The guide led us to all the interesting locations and scenic points in Oahu. The guide is very easy to use and gives information about Hawaii and and the different locations. You can jump on the tour anywhere on the road and the guide will give you directions to must see locations and locations that are suggested. We did both tours, the Island Circle tour and the Volcanoes and Beaches tour. On the Island Circle, the guide with very understandable directions, led us past Pearl Harbor, the North Beaches, the Dole Plantation, the Polynesian Culture Center, the Japanese temple, and much more (my personal favorite being the beach with sea turtles). Along with these main attractions, we were led to many picturesque spots and some specifically chosen stores. Between attractions, the guide told us about Hawaii itself, its history and culture, and the language. The app itself has no problems in functionality, but you might want to bring a charging cord or extra battery. Additionally, the app allows you to use other applications, such as the camera, while the tour is in progress. The gypsy app is much better alternative to a conventional tour, with the user able to operate it by themself and able to choose select locations to travel to, all while in the comfort of one’s car. This app exceeds expectations while being a meager $7, a stark difference from the hundreds you might pay for a in person tour. Hope this helped any hesitant users. Mahalo!

Perfect. We just got back from Hawaii and found this app to be the best money we spent on the trip. The directions are flawless and timely and the commentary between places of interest is very informative. We would not have been able to do nearly as much on Oahu without the assistance.

Tour Bus. Skip it. A tour bus trip of the island is about $40.00 person and takes all day. 3 people $120.00 1 car rental and $6.99 app. This was great.. I learned lots of interesting stuff, skipped places I was not interested in and I wasn't tied down to a bus schedule.

Excellent!!. ... And I'm a tough cookie to please. Seriously a good app! We bought a book and as we're thumbing through each area, it was a WTH moment. Got this app and it explains every area,no muss,no fuss, and no waiting for that slow person on a bus tour.

Best $7 spent on any of our vacation.. I hope they will make more destination. This app is awesome. If you happen to rent a car with USB aux or Bluetooth enable you can route the commentary to the car's audio system. Although there is one issue, after each commentary, it automatically plays your iTune music. The google turn-by-turn guidance does not.

One of the Best Apps I have Purchased. It was like having our own personal island guide. Directions were great and the information was accurate, well researched and detailed. We were amazed at how well it worked and it enhanced our trip immensely. Make more of these and I'll buy them in a second.

Fantastic, informative with a sense of humor. Better than a bus tour based upon previous experience. Nice soothing voice and identified small local points of interested we would never had visited. Also identified local eateries. Great job and well worth the $6.99.

Referral fee?. Can I get a referral fee code? I tell everyone who comes to Hawaii that these apps are a must have, and of course they all find out that I’m absolutely right. But seriously . . . I’ll take a code or something. 🤙🏽

GyPSy Oahu. Purchased GyPSy Oahu after great experience with the Maui edition. Very disappointed with lack of bi-directional support...we chose to explore around the island counter-clockwise before discovering the commentary is supported only in the other direction.

It's like having a tour guide in your car.. Excellent. Best $7 spent on vacation. Works off the GPS in your phone to give you clear driving directions along with informative facts about areas of interest. Just wish I had more time here in Oahu to explore more. I hope these guides are expanded to new cities.

Better than a tour bus!!!!. This app is fabulous!! We were able to go at our own pace, decide where we wanted to stop and for how long, and the guide gave tons of Hawaiian history/culture. Awesome!!!!

Circle tour Ohau. Great tour. We need to have this for more destinations. We named our narrator Roy Halapuoa and talked to him through this tour. The only suggestion I have is to play some Hawaiian music in between narrations. The narration was spot on with our locations all along the way.

Great tour. We found this tour made our stay very enjoyable. We learned things we would not have known otherwise.
