Addictive. I love this game! I’ve completed everything possible, but repeatedly go back to replay the daily challenges. I love the Balloon Pop expert ones, so I’m glad you can go back to previous dates, find and play them, and that they’re not the same puzzles. The only complaint I have is that I’ve looked repeatedly for ways to submit words that aren’t in the game (just a couple), but can’t find any way to contact them. It would be nice to be able to submit words or other suggestions.

Yuck. Update: You lost a star and I am certain that you’re losing players. I should charge YOU for every star. I digress. I am doing my best to cope with the annoying aspects of this revamped game application only because the concept itself is what I was drawn to in the first place and because I haven’t found another game like it. And as much as I’m amused by the fact that you want people to pay for extra points, I give not a crap one about silly points nor am I the least bit compelled to give you any of my money. And, as much as I am incensed by the advertisements that you are forcing me to watch (which btw you guys, wtg—get people hooked on an ad-free game then pull out the rug from under us like that) I’m coming to terms with that aspect although knowing that Microsoft already has so many parts of the global marketplace cornered, it’s disappointing and should be against your better judgment. Here is what will drive away the people who makeup your loyal customer base and who also listen to music on the same device while playing your word game who like I do: THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART SO PLEASE PAY ATTENTION* if I adjust the settings so that all of the sound affects are muted, that includes All Sounds. If I tell your game to be quiet — THAT INCLUDES THE ADVERTS. ASSUME WITH ME IF YOU WILL THAT MY MUTING YOUR GAME, MY INTENTIONS ARE TO ALSO NOT LISTEN TO THE ANNOYING ADVERTISEMENTS THAT YOU ARE FORCING IN MY FACE. Pretty basic stuff you guys. MUTE MEANS MUTE. Alternatively, MUTE COULD SPELL MUTINY FOR MANY LOYAL MUSIC LISTENING WORDAMENTERS. *I’m talking to you, microbot** **MICROBOT. Therein lies the problem. You're down to your last star, Microsoft microbit word game programming cowboy, so giddy up! This game used to be fun. What have you done? Adulthood ruined.

Addictive. I really like this game; it challenges you to think quickly and figure out how to get better scores. It's a game that can be played a few times and then put down, but it can also be played dozens of times in a session. No two games are ever the same. I also like seeing the score ladder and being inspired to earn a higher score. Like another reviewer posted, I wish there were an in-app dictionary so that players can look up the definition of words. I think that would vastly improve most player's ability to remember select words through greater association. Seeing all the words I missed doesn't really help me remember or learn from that experience; it just makes me realize where I am on the curve. I see those 50+ point words and I'm amazed that people could find them given the short duration of matches. Overall: fun, challenging, interesting

Fun word game. Update: ‘cep’ is a common word? Three vegetables theme, answers are pea peas cep. Google hasn’t even heard of it. Wikipedia says it’s a name for a type of mushroom. Had to ask for a hint to get it. It’s counterproductive to include impossible words as theme words. Oh well, it’s free. Have played for months. Over time you learn quirks, like ‘Mises’ is a word (famous Austrian economist) but many common proper nouns are not. They lean heavily on some questionable terms, ‘rez’, ‘lex’, ‘dex’, so high point letters can be included. Playing on iPhone I find it personally irritating that you can’t turn off the HINT button, which I occasionally hit by accident. But it certainly seems a useful and challenging puzzler.

Please fix. I love the game but.... the old version was so much better. I don’t know why some corporate jerk has to pitch a new update that screws everything up. Clean and simple. That’s all we want. The new version has all the bells and whistles that nobody wanted. And the stats are screwed up. It used to have a total score (which would rank you by month, year, or all time). It used to list how many wins you had. That’s all still there because I was getting it by refusing to update to this version. But they screwed the whole thing up so I had to update. Could you guys at least make the stats available on your home page? And I can’t even read it anymore either. Too small and the new I phone covers the theme hints and timer. Really! Don’t you guys even play the game yourselves?

was great now horrible do not get. the previous version of this from maybe a few weeks ago was phenomenal. simple interface clean fast and fun head to head multiplayer matchup with timed games. lightweight advertising at the bottom of the screen. fun and nice. the latest update has added the worst possible advertising - insultingly stupid unskippable videos of six to fifteen seconds each showing braindead click the matching color games that pop up randomly between games. the word games are still good but the advertisements in this case destroy the app. borderline unusable. I had given this five stars for simplicity and fun. downgraded to one on account of the incredibly intrusive ads. I'm not sure how much more I can stand before this gets deleted. too bad cuz it was one of my favorite apps.

Were you high?. Who in the world thought that this new layout and game experience would be better than the old version? Because whoever it was, should be fired. I used to LOVE this game. My whole family did!! I even had friends that played and I loved having them as frenemies; it was fun seeing them randomly pop up at the end in leaderboard. It was so simple, clean, and just perfect. You got exactly what you came for. If not immediately then within the reasonable 120s(+/-?) countdown. You got to play. Nothing more nothing less. But now, every feature of this game that had made it beyond compare is now replaced with this poorly executed knock-off, void of any visual appeal, and if that wasn’t enough, don’t forget the hundred and one unnecessary gameplay add-ons that completely depreciate the value of the game. A++ for an equally inordinate and deficient app.

Update killed it. I used to play Wordament all the time with my friends and family. I haven’t played in a while and I just checked back to see that the whole entire layout has changed, and how many unnecessary features there are. I get wanting to improve your game but this just straight up changed it. It doesn’t feel like the old Wordament, the fun one that I know. The old sound effects were better, the old layout was better, and just how simple it used to be was so much better. It’s still a fun game but the update really did kill the fun, simple vibe it used to have. If it weren’t for this update I would’ve left a 5 star review.

App keeps crashing. Whenever I try to sync my iPhone with my iPad or vice versa, the app always crashes. I have to uninstall it and then download it again. This is something new that just started happening. I keep hoping that there will be a fix for this, so I’m just writing this to let the creators know. Otherwise I have been using this app for over three years after my stroke to help with coordination and memory and I absolutely love it please fix it so that I can continue to enjoy this app.

Entertaining. I’ve enjoyed playing this. I believe it helps keep my mind sharp. BUT! Do not let your young kids play this, thinking it will help them learn words! I don’t know what dictionary they’re using to get the “words” they use, but many, possibly even most, are not in any dictionary I own. Some are very archaic words, some are foreign words, and some, imo, are just made up because they kinda, sorta, look like they should be words. I have not figured out what criteria they use, nor their source. UPDATE: I still enjoy playing this, but my subscription renewed and it did not update, even though in the Apple App Store it says I’m good to 2025. So I decided maybe I needed to log out and log in again to get it to recognize the renewed subscription. But then I couldn’t log back in. Did you know that to get help with problems to log into your Microsoft Account, you first have to log into your Microsoft Account? The stupidly astounds me. After over 3 hours, I finally managed to get logged in again. (Hint: Don’t EVER log out of your Microsoft Account once your get logged in!). But it still would not recognized my subscription. So I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Now, it STILL doesn’t recognize the renewal that went through yesterday, AND I’ve now lost all my history and data. I love the game. I HATE Microsoft. They ruined the other game I used to play all the time, to the point where I canceled my subscription and deleted the game, and they’re well on the way to ruinging this one.

Fantastic!. Microsoft Wordament is one of the most underrated games out there! A hidden gem of absolute awesomeness. I’m so surprised that this game hasn’t garnered a following of millions! This game is so relaxing and fun to play. You can’t help but get addicted! It’s easy enough to play that you won’t get frustrated and discouraged, yet difficult enough to keep you interested. Most word games are either ridiculously easy or mind-numbingly hard. This is the first word game I’ve found that I actually love. I can’t get enough of it!

Adverse Enjoyment. After playing Microsoft Solitaire I gave this game a try and enjoy it somewhat. As others have said it would be helpful to know the score of your final move and not have your game abruptly end when you’ve satisfied the requirements. Still, above all else, the major drawback is the ads. Also, as others have mentioned, the ads feel overbearing and obnoxious. I understand they’re a necessary evil but almost every outlet I engage with feels as if it has its hands in my pockets. To add insult to injury, I am a game pass ultimate subscriber. I would appreciate if games such as this were a part of the service. It would feel like added value for my subscription/investment. I believe like all things, improvements are necessary and are implemented. In addition to performance improvements, I would definitely rate this higher if more consideration was given to increased value for subscription services.

Very disappointed. I’ve been playing Microsoft Wordament for several years and have reported this problem before however, Nothing has been done about it and now I can’t play the game. when I get to the gate to go through to change levels it will not highlight the gate or star or whatever so I can’t click on it which means I cannot advance. I normally play on my iPad. However, when this glitch happens, in the past I have been able to change to my iPhone and then I can go back to my iPad after I play that first game in the new level on my iPhone. unfortunately my iPhone is no longer syncing so it shows me at level 171 while I am actually at level 174. I’m quite surprised they have not taken the time to fix this bug And I will miss playing this game each morning.

App gets stuck at last level of each world, ads play sound even with sounds turned off in the game. I actually enjoy this game, even though it gets repetitive from one world to the next, BUT there are several problems with the app. When I finish the last level in a world, the app (on iPad) freezes and won’t let me proceed. The only way I found to get around this is to login on my phone to finish that world, then go to the next, then login again on my iPad. The next issue is, while you can save to the cloud to enable switching between devices, you can’t be logged-in on 2 devices at the same time, and the login process takes like 5-6 clicks. Lastly, even if you have the volume/sounds turned off in the game settings, the ads still play sounds and music, so I have to turn my device volume all the way down to avoid annoying people nearby (and myself)!

Interesting approach to a casual word game.... I love the casual approach. I prefer the Microsoft Sudoku game to this, but enjoy them both. I thoroughly enjoy the challenge; many times a daily challenge resulted in a do-over because I cleared with too long or short a word causing me to miss points on the next word or three. Definitely a game for casual play. The only thing I don't like is that being an Xbox GamePass Ultimate subscriber, I don't get ad free here. I already pay ad-free on M Sudoku, and GPU, and now you want another ad-free sub? Screw that!

🤨. I have disappointments. 1) when I have game issues & need support, I don't appreciate being directed to the games FB page. I want an email, text or 800 # to call to address my issue. 2) I want an one- time reasonable fee to remove ADS off my game, not a subscription that renews every month or yearly. You making money running ADS on my device without compensating me. Can't enjoy game for ADS. 3) When ADS are running, they cut off my game completely and I have to reopen game. $3 or $4 max is sufficient for permanent removal of ADS from game. Good game; but your gouging isn't appreciated. I have to many Microsoft accounts I use and pay for to spend a whopping $11 every year; you ought to be using us $5 per AD @ least during game play.

A Wordament Facelift is Long Overdue. Has the creative team that originally developed Wordament left Microsoft or moved on to other projects? Nothing has changed many years now. Zero aesthetic creativity or feature improvements. Every map is literally just going back to the beginning of the same map. Where’s the “Adventure“ in that?Eventually, even endless AI-generated word puzzles start to feel repetitive. Some new scenery would at least create a more interesting illusion of going somewhere. And how about adding an in-app dictionary and other features to enhance the game’s vocabulary building benefits? At the very least, please give us more variety by finally developing a Microsoft Ultimate Word Games app for iOS instead of leaving us stuck with the browser version. If the current “if it ain’t broke, don’t change it” attitude continues, I will probably end my subscription.

Addictive game. I really enjoy this game. I like that each game has slightly different goals. I would like the ability to get rid of the annoying repetitive ads, even for $$. My main complaint though is that the sound keeps turning itself back on. I like my games silent. Update: I have been paying for premium to get rid of ads which worked fine for a while, but now I am getting ads anyway. I have contacted the developer and Apple but get no reply. Frustrating.

Very good brain game. I played Wordament a few years ago and finished every world. At that time I think there were over 50. I’ve recently started playing again and realized how much I really like it. It’s so good for your brain to think of these words. Probably better than Solitaire or Spider Solitaire, which I also play. I just recently found a 12 letter word… Grandchildren, that was not even something I had to find. Eventually, you do have to find these long words, and it’s very difficult to do. Give it a try.

A great game and wonderful support. I play this game daily. Challenging but relaxing. I subscribe and was pleasantly surprised that their customer service was just as good as the game! So many online games/services have no service despite being a paying customer. They responded within hours. For a short time, my history disappeared. They sent a detailed email with things I could do; but without having to do any of this - my history had been restored. Not sure, if they did something on their end but was happy to see they didn’t just grab my money and run to the bank laughing. Well done Microsoft! Thank you!

Stalling. Several times in the last couple of days the game has stalled before it even opens to play. Over & over it just plays the WORD logo & I can’t get in to play. I only play as a guest but I’ll have to quit completely if I can’t get in & I’ve been playing for a couple of years, please try to fix this , this is really one of the better spelling games out there. Thanks, a loyal fan. I would love to know what dictionary is in use here. Many words that are actual words are not valid in this game, but many short abbreviations are acceptable. Also, many words in use in the game are not actual words according to a scrabble dictionary which has every conceivable 3 letter word. I’m going to quit playing altogether because of this & the points given don’t matter in the least. I know it doesn’t matter one way or another what my opinion of the game is but has become trite & banal.

Long ads, weird words. This is basically a pretty fun word search puzzle, that gets progressively harder as you move through the steps. However, I have two big gripes: lately all the ads are 30 seconds long, much longer than I’m willing to sit through. And many of the “words” it expects you to find are so obscure that even with my graduate level vocabulary, I’ve never heard of them. So lately, after I find all the familiar words, I just resort to plugging in every combination that could conceivably be pronounced in English. If I feel like. it, I can look up the meaning, but they’re usually never a word I’d want to add to my vocabulary: the name of some obscure fish, or the archaic Scottish word for something. That makes it into a different kind of game, which I guess is OK too. I prefer the New York Times’ Spelling Bee, but you can’t binge-play that one!

Really wish there was a little more to love about this. This is a great version of the classic word find boggle-style puzzle game. But the reason I am writing this review is that nothing about this game is difficult at all! There are so many levels with absolutely no progression of difficulty, no different than gimmicks, heck even all the different "maps" you unlock look the same! There are no timers, no move limits (in the main game), and while this lends itself to being played for a few minutes here and there, it's just lacking interest. Even some 5x5 levels would be a nice change of pace. It looks and plays great! I wish Microsoft had more games in this Casual series. But it's such a flat landscape with respect to challenge and progression.

Fun game and all, but…. after the first few maps, the game becomes repetitious. Same stuff over and over and over, ad nauseum, to the point of being boring. Similar or same puzzle, different map. Ultimately, it seems there is minimal creativity. It’s almost “copy and paste.” Each map starts out easy and gets progressively more difficult, until I come to a gate. Go through the gate and puzzles are easy, becoming more difficult, until I come to a gate or complete the map. The pattern repeats endlessly. I’m currently in the middle of Map 39, so it’s not like I did just a few maps and wrote a review. I keep playing because, right now, I don’t have another word game. I love word games and I have a huge vocabulary. I want more challenge. (My mother did the 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘨𝘰 𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘶𝘯𝘦 daily crossword puzzle in ink.)

Great but needs to be improved. This game has such a great concept with the layout and the after game leaderboards. The only problem I have with it is that it's impossible to score high unless you know all of the uncommon words that are never used in our everyday language. I'm constantly playing half games because halfway through I can't find any words. After the game is finished, I find that the top scoring common words are still uncommon. I think they need to update their dictionary from the 1800's dictionary to the current dictionary

Pretty good game but can get boring fast. Good game but gets repetitive quick. The word list tile is pointless especially because it jumps back if you repeat a word, annoying part is it doesn’t return back to the top. Also annoying that it tracks your total points while playing, but doesn’t keep track of them after that. No credit for getting 3X the minimum points. Would also be excellent if you could look up words to see their definition. Weird thing is there a lot of British spellings included like Tyre for English Tire

Greed made this game worthless. Thank you for destroying a game I used to love. The update claimed it was to “fix minor bugs and crashes”. Instead its purpose was to Create Ads that CAUSE crashes! In the 6 years I have been playing Wordament has Never once crashed. And Never previously had ads. I loved it since it was one of the few word games I could play offline. I am frequently in situations where I don’t have internet access or even cell signal. Now the game plays preloaded ads that you cannot escape, skip or get past. Thanks for destroying a game I used to love. Nice to be reminded that the Mircosoft corporation and Xbox are so greedy that they would lock up their own game just to get paid a few pennies for running constant ads.

The old version was better. It seems like I used to score better in the previous version. There are a bunch of useless and distracting bells and whistles on this revision. I enjoyed seeing the country flags and the three letter country codes. I used to look up the codes to identify the countries and added some to my geo knowledge. Some of my frenemies seem to have disappeared ... maybe they preferred the previous version. Or maybe there is a way to get the “classic” version and I haven’t figured that out yet? Really, I don’t need endless levels of what is it? novice, apprentice, seasoned, advanced, what? I know I’m aiming for #1 and I hope to get there eventually, so please don’t waste my time giving me a bunch of useless tiers and cheering me on. Thanks for the opportunity to share my opinion.

Redesign?. I miss the old Wordament. The old wordament was a clean, visually pleasing, and fun game. It was easy to play with family and friends. The graphics were pleasing to the eye, and not distracting. It was just well designed, with the end user experience in mind. This new wordament is designed around capturing your time, and along the way, makes some serious sacrifices. The old game is buried in the app. The design hearkens back to the 90s. I loved the old game, and would hate to disappoint the developers - but I cant recommend this app anymore. I hope it does well, and perhaps the current design will introduce wordament to a new and fresh audience. But this is not the wordament I was hooked on

Like the single play stuff but I want to cry. Love the new different ways to play. This is a much needed update after years of the same ol’ same ol’ which in hindsight was amazing. I love Wordament - 16,000 games of love. The biggest issue I have is the overlay of “Nice!” or “Excellent!” in the middle of a tournament. Who’s completely lousy idea was that???? I can’t see the letters underneath - which means I can’t make words which means I can’t make as many words as I used to! This is a game of speed (duh!) so why would you do something that hinders and slows down a gamer? Why? Why? Why? Contrast on the tiles is much harder for me to see the letter especially when I am trying to go fast. Why would you maker it harder? Also - the update look is outdated. It looked more modern and cool before - now you have buttons with gradients, bevels and dropshadows? What? Why would you do that? This is one of my favorite games ever - and the new game plays are fantastic (if kinda look-wise derivative and uninspired) - but you messed with the part that was already perfect. Microsoft overall is figuring out how to be innovative and relevant but this game improvement harkens back to another older era.

Good ideas in the latest update, but execution is lacking. I like the new options for styles of game play in this latest update. However, the game is now a lot slower and a battery hog to boot. Playing fast for high word count is a lot harder due to lag, even when connected to wifi. The compliments it gives you when you do well (is there an actual name for those?) also interfere with speed because they obscure the board and also lag. The graphics and visual style may also contribute to the performance issues, since they are a lot more complex (unnecessarily so in my opinion) than previously. The game is also much less visually distinctive now, and its style blends in with every other game out there that I don’t play due to general spaminess and battery hog issues. My suggestions are to simplify the graphics, distill everything so it’s focused on game play rather than a debatably pretty package, and remove any other unnecessary “features” causing performance issues.

Too many loud obnoxious video ads!. The game can be fun to play, especially the Daily Challenges - Gem Collector. I don’t begrudge someone for monetizing their development efforts through advertising. HOWEVER - When the developer of the app gives you a setting allowing you to disable sounds so you don’t bother others around you while playing, and yet they allow video ads to play that contain audio that doesn’t care about the app settings that have the sound disabled-it seems rather inconsiderate (and annoying), in addition to creating disruptive and embarrassing situations. Don’t give me that old tired line about not being able to control the audio in the video ads. You can control it by not allowing video ads!

Strange objectives and broken. First off, the objectives are a bit unsatisfying. Instead of trying to find all the words, you are cut off after a certain score, and are trying to do things like find words using the corner letters or three letter or four letter words. The multi play is a bit more of the traditional play against the clock kind of thing, but the solo campaign seems weirdly casual in that there is no clock and you aren’t trying to find all the words and get cut off when you achieve the three objectives of each game. That would be ok, but when I got to the last puzzle of the first campaign “world” the game broke and I couldn’t play further. Even closing it and reopening it would just take me straight back to the same crash… no way to avoid it. So I had to uninstall it.

Love the game. I love to play the multiplayer game of Wordament. It keeps me on my toes with vocabulary words. The only thing is there seems to be a large amount of bots playing. Too many words possible for a human to type/think of in the amount time provided. It makes the competitive part of me hate the game. I, nor any real person can compete with a computer. I still play, but with disappointment. In addition, sometimes the themed games are lacking. For example, the other day the theme of the puzzle was “nose” but no credit was given for “nares.” Really? Just got done playing a game with the theme, “occupations” but the word “potter” gave no extra points. That being said, if you can ignore the “Leaderboard” in the game and just try to beat your own record it’s a fun game.

Won’t let me sign in with FB. I love these kinds of games and based upon the high rating, I thought I’d check it out. When I tried to sign up via my Facebook account, it took me 6 trues before I got to an actual Facebook sign in screen. Then when I signed in and accepted the terms via Facebook, your game told me that I lacked an internet connection. Funny - that’s the same screen I got the 6 previous times before you let me attempt my connection to Facebook. Being connected to the internet isn’t an issue but I suspect that your servers are having a challenge performing this task based upon the time of day/high traffic. Guess what though? I could play as a guest and no pesky messages about not having an internet connection. Oh well. I’m moving on to another game.

Love this game!. I recently got bored with solitaire and wanted a different game to play. Downloaded this because I like Microsoft’s solitaire collection and thought this would be a good alternative. I really enjoy playing! I especially LOVE the daily challenges! I just wish that I could play previous months daily challenges because I find the daily challenges more entertaining than the regular adventures. Very few ads, which is great! Most last five seconds when they do happen.

Good game but. I play my games without sound but when playing Wordament one ad, Toon Blast, always goes to sound. It starts with an option to turn the sound off but the last 5 seconds always has sound. All sounds are off in the game options and I always turn off sound on ads when it’s an option, but Toon Blast is always a problem. Please turn off the sound or take it out of ads—I’m really tired is having to shut off sound on my phone.

Wordament. This game keeps the brain hopping! Even when I am still playing as a guest, I find the game interesting enough to play every day. There is one downside to playing as a guest. The Advertisements in between levels sometimes cut out and a glitch sends me back to my home page. So I have to re-load the game again. Other than that, this game is totally engaging! There are daily bonus games, different levels to play and quick games! Fun for anyone who likes learning and keeping the brain sharp!

Why did you have to destroy a perfectly good game?. Loved this game til the new version. Now it’s TERRIBLE! New colors w/poor contrast, tiny font & no holding where needed. Takes longer to make words, because unnecessary pop-up comments like “NICE!” block your view, wasting precious time. Not to mention even more ads. The time clock counter was redone to look like a mock old-fashioned flipover clock radio, resulting in extreme difficulty in determining the remaining time. Whoever redid this should be fired. Thank you so much for ruining a perfectly good game. Don’t see myself playing this anymore, unless you reinstate the former look & feel.

Fix needed. You can play this game on an Apple product, but first you must: Go to the setting menu, turn off the private network, turn on the private network, turn off the computer, turn on the computer! Then maybe if you are lucky, you can play the game. If not, repeat all the above steps, then again maybe, then again maybe. I really believe it could be fixed, but for reasons I don’t understand, they have apparently chosen not to fix.

Addictive. This game is amazing. I'd like to see an additional "points per second" score added to the "average points per word" and "word count," but that's not that big of a deal. What else would be nice to see is "most common mistakes" along with the list of words. Only things that I actually have a complaint about though are: (1) It forces you to change to the leaderboard at a certain time; sometimes I want to look through the words more than look at the leaderboard or I'm not interested in seeing the words and just want the leaderboard. It'd be nice to freely switch between during the time between games. (2) I don't like the "you're guessing" time penalty. I get why it's there, but occasionally my finger just slips and selects a different letter, I just misspelled a word, or I thought something was a recognized word, such as a slang word or a name. Maybe, it could just be that we say the time they wasted on a wrong word is penalty enough. Biggest plus it that I haven't experienced a true bug yet; people keep saying it freezes at 23 seconds, but that's only happened to me if I lose my connection.

I Love the Game, but.... The game is great. If you like Boggle (which I’ve played since it came on the market in the late 70’s) you will love this. The only problem is that Microsoft doesn’t update the game and you’re playing the same games over and over. With the millions of combinations of letters, the game has so much potential. My guess is that’s why there are so few players (and when it was taken off Facebook the number of players went from thousands to 250 at most.). Very sad. A little more advertising would help too. I see the same players every day. Potential is there but this is obviously not a priority to Microsoft...lol!

No new maps. I used to love playing Wordament. However, I’ve played all 82 of the Adventure Maps and all 12 of the 2017 monthly maps. Nothing new has been added in a very long time. It’s not hard to create new maps, or open additional years like 2018, 2019, and 2020. Older maps could be given new goals. Like other reviewers, I hate it when you can’t add to your score when you’ve found the minimum required score. I’m canceling my subscription if the game isn’t updated by the end of the year. Time to move to something more exciting and interesting that is updated regularly.

Two problems found. I have neglected writing for a while now but they are beginning to annoy me. The program shuts down every once in a while. I don’t see any correlation between the stops. The program hangs up my iPad for a short time, 15 to 30 seconds then shuts down and I have to restart the program. If I am in a puzzle, the puzzle has to be restarted, nothing is saved. The other problem is when I am finally at the last gate, I cant open it. The access link is below the designated square. To get thru the gate, I switch to me iPhone. Fix these two problems and I will give 5 stars

Turn off LOUD sounds for ads. I like the game make you think of unusual words, but the annoying sound for ads when I have sound off for the game have to go. Why can’t you turn off sound for ads like you do in Microsoft solitaire collections. Can’t play game away from home because of the annoying loud sounds for every ads. Furthermore did you verify the ads are not scams??? I accidentally tap on an ad and Norton popped up saying site is not safe. Please fix sound problem for ads!!!

Great game play, pointless achievements. The game play, when you're actually playing, is very good. I enjoy it a lot. Short but not too quick, frustrating, or overly meticulous play time. Each play segment is finishable which is satisfying. Interesting and slightly different each time. Familiar format but more engaging than word search games. It's not tedious yet it's challenging at times but not impossible. Great word set!!! You don't have to learn "their" word set. I haven't had a word rejected yet, even Scrabble words. It doesn't try to force you to use or pay for hints - love that. No timer, so it's relaxing. You don't have to sign in to play. Love that. I'd delete it if I had to sign up. I just want the game play. I just discovered Quick Play option. So maybe I can avoid the pointless journey and bonuses I talk about below. The ads are loud but mutable, not bad, they were too long or I've gotten used to them, not overly frequent but sometimes I quit playing because of them. The developers don't understand the purpose of collecting points, getting bonuses, or finishing a journey or level. It's not a problem, just that none of it matters as far as game play. A numbered simple list with locked advanced levels would do. The paths, etc, are a waste of time. The game play remains exactly the same, nothing is new is added with achievements. Nothing effects the game play - points, bonuses, levels, - change nothing in that they're are no new features or options revealed. They're just annoying things to wait for between game play turns - watch your icon move down a path and open a treasure chest etc. for extra points, but the points don't change anything.

A lot of fun….. I play this game often. I especially love the daily challenges. I REALLY think the developers should allow us to play previous months’ challenges, similar to Microsoft solitaire. The reason for this simple: I could have a perfect month and just miss the last day of the month and puff! I will no longer be able to replay that day. It hasn’t happened much, but it has. It’s defeating. At least allow us a few days to make up the last day of the month before it closes out forever.

Good, what would make this great ... What's good - unique and addictive format, multiplayer w ability to match up against friends, simple but clever user experience. Been playing for over a year. Yet it can be rather frustrating after a bit.. Now what I really wish it had - the biggest thing missing is the ability to play non-timed version, maybe as an option, with ability to suspend and resume, or at least allow users to set different times instead of hard wiring to 2 minutes. Especially while learning the game. Second, the game does not know all words - make it simpler to nominate words that are missing from the dictionary. Third, would be great to have in-app logging to track your performance.

Irritating Inane Ads. Challenging word games that get increasingly difficult. If it wasn’t for those stupid ads, and the amount of time it can take to load it, this would be a fun little game. One of the frustrating challenges, after having to endure ads before the games, is that they don’t just end automatically on their own. If you click anywhere on your screen other than the very center of the microscopic X in the upper right hand corner to close the ad you are automatically rerouted to the App Store for downloading whatever it is that they’re promoting. After you close out of the App Store you’re automatically redirected back to that same stupid add screen where you have to try again to close out the ad or get sent back to the App Store in what can be a Sisysphean cycle of torment.

Rated too early. While I do love this game I hate the ads. I realize the need for some ads. The problem is the length of the ads. When you hit the X to EXIT the ad it takes you to another screen of the same ad. Sometimes it takes three X’s to actually exit out of the ad. I now loathe the Royal Kingdom ads. I’m sick to death of them! I wouldn’t get that game now if they offered me money to play it. A person knows whether they want to get the game within the first ten seconds. To be forced to watch it again and again for prolonged periods is just TOO MUCH. The game would be played more if the ads were shorter or if, like in other successful games, you could choose to exit early.

Extremely addictive. This has been my go to game for about 2 months and I'm still hooked and loving it. The app sometimes has trouble staying connected to the Internet.

I like this game.. but. I like this game, mind numbing, fun, I don’t have to think too hard, except can I give a suggestion? A lot of the words I don’t know, I’ve never even heard of them- it’d be awesome to see a way to press a word and get the definition (probably when wifi is turned on). It’d help with connecting words and understanding them.

I love the game but.... The ads are really intrusive and even popped open a safari instance to go out of the game. I want to be able to play with the little guy but the ads aren’t age appropriate even though it’s a 4+ app. I would like to buy an ad free version but can’t figure out how you do that. Microsoft should be ashamed of itself for putting its brand on this hame when it so clearly violates many of Microsoft’s own App Store policies.

Lost data. Wordament app seized up. I deleted and reinstalled. Now I am on level 87, while I was on level 97 before issue. How to fix please. Just seized up again. Have gone back to 108, when I was 111. Time to try another game.

Ads play and play. I have been playing this game for years but the ads are becoming super intrusive. It can take up to three separate presses to close an ad, assuming you don’t get taken to the App Store as well. They also come so often the game is becoming unusable.

Wish i didnt update.. Ive deleted this now. Its a shame as I quite enjoyed the simplicity and speed of the original version. Personally not a fan of the new aesthetics but thats just cosmetic. The real deal-breaker for me was that the new version really felt slow/sluggish on my iphone 8 and that had a quite a negative impact on my scores. It really begs the question... Was such radical change really necessary?

Good game but this version crashes. The game itself - yes very addictive and a great way to pass some time. Enjoyable. Unfortunately I played it on another device from my usual one - using the same Apple ID and game login etc - and game progress synced from the cloud to the new device just fine. However when I went back to my usual device the next day, and it tried to sync to the latest cloud version of progress, the game just crashed. And has crashed every single time I’ve tried to open it since. Please fix it!

Not iPad compatible for maps. I love this game but when I play the maps on my iPad, I can’t open the last gate on the map as the gate doesn’t line up with the clickable area of the screen. I have to swap to my iPhone to progress through the gate, and hope that my progress has saved properly. I often have to redo several levels when I swap devices.

Repetitive, too many ads. Has potential, too repetitive, too many ads, boring ‘world maps’, unfortunately missed the mark. Could have been a candy crush with words.

Ruined with the updates. LOVED this game, then they almost completely changed it. I put off updating for as long as I could, but the old version isn’t supported anymore. 😭 Why wreck and remove a good thing? You could have just put up your new version and NO ONE WOULD THINK ITS THE SAME GAME! the new version is annoying and over complicated, lots of bells, whistles and ads. So peeved.

Brain game. Don’t spend much time “playing “ but a bit of wordament brain work makes me feel good.

Adventure Maps. Why do we have to wait so long for the next adventure maps? And why is it not possible to have a whole series of them again?

Wordament. Thoroughly enjoy and appreciate the work out for my aging brain. Did like the earlier version but on the new phone can only get the new version. But I've become accustomed to it. Thanks for the activity, it's great.

Fun and relaxing. I don’t know quite what’s going on with all the experience and coins and whatnot but the core game experience is well-made, and the daily challenge modes really spice it up. I quickly started paying to remove ads - great to have the option.

Great game! How can I stop the ads?. I love playing the game, but would like it even more if I didn’t have to endure the tedious advertisements. Why not allow us to buy the app, to free us from that tedium?

Issues with new layout. The new update is awful, very unappealing. I’m still having login issues as well, which I’ve had for months before this update, and it looks like that hasn’t even improved. Poor effort, guys. The old Wordament was fantastic, not sure why it needed such a drastic change.

Please fix. Love the new challenges, but the playable pop up ads freeze and you can’t get out of them. So I try to reopen but same ad...... please fix for us die hard puzzlers.

Can we rollback?. Don’t like the update. What happened to the country for each gamer? Used to like to see how I was going against other gamers in my country. The colors make it difficult to see, especially the leaderboard. The flashes of great etc interfere with game play. Please can we rollback to the previous version

We love Wordament- a fantastic, addictive word finding game. If you want a fast, fun and totally addictive word game that's a bit like racing boggle but better and more interesting, then you have to try Wordament. I haven't stopped playing this app in months. Racing in real time against other players around the world, it's easy to play and see everyone else's scores. A brilliant game- for a free app that gives hours and hours of fun, you can't beat it. Occasionally site doesn't update fast enough to join a round but it's logical and generally well designed.

Great game but relentless adverts.... The game itself is fun to play - but the adverts in between games and when the apps starts are relentless and pointless. An organisation like MS doesn’t need the money, so the only conclusion I can make for the adverts is that they are a form of blackmail to coerce you into a subscription. Pffft....

Fun game, but.... A fun game to kill time but playing multiplayer is frustrating when you see the top scores of a round and winners consistently have “found” over 120 words, which is impossible considering it’s 2 minute/120 second rounds. While it doesn’t really bother me, it does take away any drive to actually try since it’s all pretty much expected you’ll not win regardless of how good a round you have.

The game I have been looking for.. This is the game I have been looking for. I am not lockedinto finding the words that the developer wants me to. The gameplay is freeform and not time bound. Perfect in every way.

What is happening?. I’ve used Wordament as my only game for years and now I have to reinstall the app every time I use it because it won’t load ( I once left it for 20 mins) or reinstall and start from the beginning and repeat the same puzzles!? What’s happening???

Wordament question.. Why did you change the game? Now there’s no timers which is awesome! But why. When I first found out I would play it every day when I got the chance but now it’s confusing!

Super simple yet addictive!. A very simple game, and very addictive! It would be good if there was a mode that wasn't timed, like casual word searching. But otherwise great! Learn new words too! That comment about it not being user friendly and stuff....no idea what he's on about? Because it couldn't be more simple and straightforward, not to mention the instructions are very clear.

Way too many ads…. Nice way to kill time, but recently the Microsoft boffins have plopped a stupid amount of ads before you can even play…so it was a nice way to kill time, but now I don’t play, just to avoid the annoying ads…the same reason I don’t play any Microsoft games anymore…f’ing ads ruin everything!!

Frustrations. Regular errors with cloud sync, probably once I got to level 300. Has been broken for years so assume Microsoft removed the developers a long time ago and are just keeping the app available for ad revenue.

Words!. I’ve been playing this game for years, back when it was a multiplayer/leaderboard game only. It’s always my go to game before going to sleep at night, I’ll generally play a few games as it’s stimulating but not stressful. Addition re this month: My favourite part of this game is the daily challenges. But this month almost every one is easy! Sure, I wouldn’t want them to be all hard/expert either, but having 2-3 of the challenges every day as easy is just a bit too simple. Give us our challenges back please! (Only reason why I’ve given it 4 stars instead of 5)

Freezes. Love this game but am frozen on level 80 won’t let me progress & collect a bonus. Tried deleting app & downloading app again but still frozen. I’m signed in to the cloud.

New version is nigh unplayable. Apart from the 30s loading screens, you’re forced to play single play tutorials for a single player “adventure” no one asked for. When you finally find the multiplayer section, you’ll be presented with another loading screen and an unskippable 20s video ad When finally in the game proper you’ll notice there is horrible background music, extra crappy sound effects and jarring animations that didn’t used to exist but worst of all is just how laggy it all is - the original was designed to work on low performance windows phones, this new version is obviously only designed for those with the latest flagships. RIP wordament

Microsoft Wordament. While this is a very exciting and interesting game to play, the one thing that I don’t like about it is the commercials. As I already pay a monthly subscription to enable me to play the Casual Card Games, couldn’t this game also be included in my subscription and therefore get rid of the commercials? I think that would encourage a lot more players to get this game.

Relaxing game. For once a mobile game I actually enjoy that’s not bombarded with 10million ads!

New game play is awesome. I always liked to play wordament but struggled to make 50% on the leaderboard. The new version is much more rewarding and great that single player is now available enabling you to play at your own pace.

Advert hell. I get you have to get money from somewhere, to have to wait for the add timer to reach the end is expected but to then have to ‘X’ then go done, then wait again for another X, then wait again for another x is a sleazy practice. And the tap pixels are so small if you miss, your back to the advert page and have to press done again. Dirt underhanded practice. Which is a shame because the game itself is great

Great, Addictive, and fun!. Wordament is a bit like Sudoku but it's on your device! And instead, it does most things for you. On Wordament, you must swipe on certain letters trying to form a word. Example: The word is "Orange" and you see this: GOR RAN OGT GEL You can earn Xbox achievements if you sign into your account, which is the reason I got this. But later, played it just for fun! This is massively recommended for achievement hunters, it's a free 50G! You play with people online. Very good for the brain, plus I learned a few New English words and a bit of different languages from changing my language. The only thing bad is: You can’t play offline, other than that, it's a great game! I highly recommend you get this addictive game!

Nice game, but.... I really enjoy the game, and it was a good change to add the solo and daily challenge modes. However, the rewards you earn along the way for these are just weird... why earn coins? They don’t do anything. Why have experience levels? There’s no effect for those either. It would be nice to be able to use coins earned for something, maybe cosmetic tile or boards. Maybe to unlock additional challenges, etc. I dunno, but the whole concept of rpg style concepts mixed in with the main game feels weird.

Great fun!. This game is loads of fun. I don’t always know the words that it tells me I have spelled, but I misplaced my Funk & Wagnalls some time ago, so it is likely on me. I like that one gets to think as one plays. Can’t ask for more than that!

Problème. Pourquoi je dois toujours réinstaller le jeu. J'essaie de me rendre à un niveau supérieur mais ça charge (loading) sans cesse sans se rendre au niveau supérieur. Ça fait plusieurs fois que ça arrive sur la tablette mais pas sur le I-phone.

Won't load. Used to enjoy this game, played it almost every day. A month or two ago it started to not load. Deleting the app and reinstalling it worked. Temporary. sometimes I would work normally for a week but lately, for maybe two days at a time. From searching forums, Microsoft has had this problem for sometime but I’ve not fixed it. There are lots of other word games available that are more reliable.

It was great until…... This game was great and really fun to play until a recent update it did. Now unfortunately when you enter the game under a signed in account and try playing any new locations on the first map, even after you watch the ads, the game will be on an endless loading screen preventing you from continuing. That happens with me all the time now and it’s so frustrating. 😡 what’s going on? Is Wordament being discontinued? 😢If this is not fixed then I’ll just remove the game as it’s just taking up space.

Missing words. There are levels in the Maps that cannot be finished because I needed 2 words ending with -y. Found three words ending with y but the scoring still showed 0/2. Cannot progress past that level. Annoying. Also there are simple words that are not recognized. Words like “lame” or “scum”.

Great fun!. So easy to learn, and so difficult to stop playing!

Challenging. I love this game. It keeps my brain challenges.

Too many ads. This game has ads in the margins and it also makes you watch ad videos that seem way longer than the ones in other free games. Great relaxing game but the ads seem a bit overkill for what it is and the fact that already has so much money Microsoft.

Broken. Game bricks itself at level 80, and Microsoft isn’t even trying to fix it. Their forums are full of posts asking for help, and their paid community responders give unrelated, useless advice then lock the post.

Update sucks. Now there are ads of course. The number of players was going down for a long time so an update was thought necessary. What were they thinking though? Looks like candy crush now and stupid pop up words of praise appear when you score big obscuring the tiles so you can't continue at the pace you were going at. Sad. Was a great game.

What happened to auto sync?. This game used to automatically sync to the cloud on all devices, which meant you were at the same point in the game with any device you choose. It’s gone what happened to autosync?

Wordament. Anyone else experiencing issues last couple of days? Several times when attempting to play it won’t open the level. Otherwise I really enjoy this game!

More maps. Why is there no new adventure maps available. This is not showing good support for the players

Love it but I have a wish list. I love this game! It is fun and simple and a great word game among the sea of word games available. I wish that you could click on the “theme words” star while in game play and it would show you which words you have already played for the levels theme. Some of the themes are a bit vague and it will show I have already played 1 or more theme words but I would love to be able to see what they were. Another thing is I wish you could click on the words you have played so far and it gives you a quick definition of the word. So many words i end up playing are just words I have learned the game accepts, but I would love to be able to learn what those words actually mean. Thanks for providing such a fun game though! :)

Game stopped loading on iPad. Two days ago Wordament started having issues loading the games and now it is not loading at all. I really enjoy the word games and am disappointed that I can no longer play. I do have an older iPad but games were working fine until two days ago. Hoping there’s a fix.

Good, simple mental exercise but… The game provides achievement level titles but stops at GrandMaster and won’t issue any more. then the game hangs when if you keep playing and solving more maps… for the mental exercise. so then to keep playing you have to reset the game and restart again. I don’t think MS has any dev resources on this game. too bad, could be a great game

Too many ads. Was going to pay to get rid of the ads but apparently you can’t. You have to purchase a monthly subscription. No way I’m doing that so I’m done with the game.

Good game horrible implementation of ads.. The game itself is extremely fun and I play it mostly because it allows me to unlock Xbox achievements. However the way that they display ads is ridiculously annoying to the point where it makes me stop playing. I would definitely pay for an ad free version if it was an option because the ads which horribly play sound every single time also end up freezing the loading bar leaving fully quitting the app the only option.

Blasts ads. I gave this two star even though it’s my favorite game. That’s because it blasts ads really loud even though I set the game on mute. I like to play before I go to sleep or if I wake up in the middle of the night. I can’t tell you how many times this woke up my husband in terror from these extremely loud ads. If the sound is turned off all the sound should be off. Earbuds are out of the question. The ads would probably make me deaf or give me a heart attack. So I cannot play this game at night.

Too easy. Completing the levels is just too easy. The only slightly more tricky are either the bonus games or the very end. Some of the themed challenges are a little better but not by much. I like to be challenged and repeatedly having to find 5 three letter words is far too simplistic. Especially when for so many levels the letters SEA&T are grouped together. I still have some of my year’s subscription still to run but I’ve cancelled that now and deleted the game.

Game messes up. Ok so here I am enjoying the game but when I pass level 80 and proceed to the next level the game messes up. In order to move beyond level 80 you have to pass through a gate. A screen pops up and says to tap on a treasure chest but when you tap on it nothing happens. I cannot move forward. I am stuck on the screen that says tap here. I have closed the app, reopened it and nothing happens. I would not recommend this game for that reason. It’s disappointing. Seriously how do you overcome the screen that says tap here?!? How do you move on pass level 80?!?

I have played this game almost every day for 3yrs now.. I love words and boggle type games like this. If ya’ll developers are open for suggestion though, I’d love to see s definition of the word appear when you click on it at the word tally screen. Some of the obscure words are awesome and I love looking them up, it’d be neat to have the answer immediately on the final score screen.

What Happened?. I was able to play ideally for quite some time. Then one day....BAM!....no more!! Is this a technical issue or? There hasn’t been any information, as a player, what to do to assist with this issue. Guess will just uninstall and forget about it. Sad part is that I truly enjoyed this game. Update** Am now currently able to play. All good! Thanks for fixing whatever the bug problem was!

Kills time. This does what I largely want. It gives me a mindless activity a few times a day for a few moments. But the levels and ranks and all that are confusing and don’t make much sense. Probably gonna move on to another mindless game after a year on this one. I don’t play many games and I don’t do several at once. I’ll pick one and just do that until it tires me. This one has about done that.

Good game but.... After a while the “Adventure” puzzles become redundant. I wish the type of puzzle in the “Daily Challenges” were available outside the calendar mode. I prefer those, so one a day is just frustrating. The multiplayer mode is really limited, too. It would be nice if in addition to the leaderboard based play, you could play head to head against random and user selected players. There doesn’t seem to be to be a title beyond “Grandmaster”. It’s like they don’t expect users to play their game more than a few months. That’s a simple fix that will appeal to the need to achieve! The interface is simple and intuitive. That said it could stand a little pizzazz, as long as they keep it intuitive and ensure it doesn’t upstage the game play.

The Best in Word. Thank you Microsoft for the best Word game out there. As always, the games from Microsoft are the best in graphics, style and ambience. Wordament is so relaxing and always puts me at ease and it’s nice to know that it keeps my brain sharp as well. The yearly subscription rate of $9.99 is well worth it and a bargain that’s better than most! Think I’ll go play some…..

Ruined by subscription service. Well… I was really enjoying this game until I went to go pay to remove the ads and found that there was only a subscription. Are you people serious?? A subscription for a game like this? Unreal. That’s when I give up on a game. I would happily pay a one-time fee to remove ads, but I am NOT doing a stupid subscription. I wouldn’t pay $10, either. You guys are insane!! Oh, well. I had fun for a little bit…

Beautiful Game Turned to Ad-centric Mediocrity. This game was a five star game with elegant and simple graphics that was fast, easy to play and fun. It has turned from a simple quick world-play word game into a bloated set of games with reset user accounts, graphics any respectable designer would avoid, and ad-based interjections with opportunities to up-sell you on a paid subscription service for gaming. It’s as if someone else took this game over and tried to figure out the most mediocre way to profit from it. Think of it like your favorite movie or movie franchise ruined by sequels made of stupid scripts and horrible direction.

Unacceptable ads. I've been a user for a long time. I have several perfect years in the daily challenges. Today I drop it to one star. I get that you're going to bully me with ads until and unless I pay you to avoid them. That's the way business is now. But until you get rid of the new type that you give me every single time, the unskippable 60 second ones that also have about six false endings you have to tap through, the ones that kill my phone audio until I reboot it? Get rid of that kind of massively intrusive harm and I'll change it.

Challenging but frustrating. Many common words are rejected while many of the accepted “words” are nonsense 3 letter combinations. Once you get the hang of what it accepts, it can be a fun challenge. Drains battery awful fast for a simple word game. Won’t let you skip ads, and often shows two in a row (one 30 second and one 10 second) which really breaks up the gameplay.

Addiction broken. This was a cleanly designed challenging word game that I loved to play but now has been entirely ruined by your recent update. The silly pop-ups and sounds effects, thin font size, and color changes all contribute to suddenly making it confusing and unappealing to play. The consistently bad reviews it’s receiving should not be foolishly dismissed by Microsoft as just a typical standard reaction to change that will pass- we, your devoted players, are telling you that you made a very bad strategic move with this update and you need to do something about it! Give us the option to return to the original game, something...otherwise I’m signing off with rest!

Trouble with app. I’ve been having trouble with this app. It’s just spinning and not going anywhere. I deleted it and downloaded again. Turned off my iPad several times and it’s still not working. I wonder if the app is having trouble syncing to the cloud. That’s the original reason I deleted it in the first place. I’ve been playing the game for years and have enjoyed it but as of now, if it doesn’t get fixed I’m going to have to delete it permanent. Also get rid of the Royal Match Game App. I’m tired of seeing it all the time.

User name. I used to love this game because I had a name that had to do with cats/kittens etc. I played against others doing the same with their game name and it was fun. Then, if using through Facebook as opposed to, I guess, Xbox, they made you use you real name. Xbox players still use game names. At that point, it was no longer much fun. I notice that the numbers playing have dropped in half. This all occurred a year ago. The game was addictive until that happened.

“Loading” forever. I really enjoy playing this game, but lately it just doesn’t work correctly. I select a daily game and it then just says “loading” with no further progress. If I delete the app, download it again, and log in again, then it works. But then it stops working the next day. I’m really tired of going thru this delete/download/log in process virtually every day. Please fix this!

Great Brain, Memory & Eye Coordination Game. This is the best Brain Game as it is challenging; though not impossible and frustrating. M/S is a genius with I This & the M/S Mahjong Suite. They are reasonably priced; no ads or interruptions - I’m almost 76 and have had the apps since they began and auto pay annually. Highly recommend for all adults!!!

Not dictionary words for most three letter words. I really like this puzzle, but I don’t like the price, and two grammar issues: A. Three letter words are not dictionary words. They are not even slang... it is very frustrating to be looking for word patterns that don’t exist B. Many dictionary words and names can be found but are not in the database. Still enjoyable, but not at the price they are asking for. This is getting worse and worse. Eew?

Great game if you like word games. This is fun and the controls are simple and feel smooth. I can see myself spending a lot of time with this game. I like the concept of the tournaments going on even if I'm not playing. The only complaint I've had is that every time I hit sign in with Facebook it crashes on me. I really want to sign in with it but I have to play as guest until this is fixed. Thanks for the great game.

Great game. As boggle type games go this is my favorite so far. Quick games, good competition with lots of players, scrabble words so real game practice, nice stats without overdoing it. This game is nice and simple for game play and doesn't try to overdo it with extras. Of course your rank is highly dependent on how many Scrabble words you know and how much you want to learn. I just came back after not playing for awhile And I love the updates

Good....but. The game play is good. I find the three different wickets to achieve before you move on to be challenging, but not too challenging. And if someone were to be so inclined, they can skip to the next puzzle after completing one of the three wickets. The only thing I would like to see is the option to buy out of ads the way Microsoft has it setup on Solitaire.

Playing for yearsssssss!. Love it! Hate the long ads and how you have to then wait for like 3 different X’s to come up and click and sometimes takes forever!!!! And actually looking for how to pay to make them go away and haven’t found it yet! How I ended up here! So YES I love playing! So going back now!!!

Great games. Ads are really annoying. I love the game. It’s difficult enough to be challenging and the user interface is wonderfully intuitive and not even something I gave to think about. But when an ad comes up it is too long and loud and is annoyingly always the same stupid annoying game. And turning it off often lands me on the website doe to bad design. It is the one thing that makes me turn this off way sooner than I othrwise would

Needs v2. After 500 games the level of challenge hasn’t advanced. It should become more difficult. The action is sluggish with way too many delays in the cutesy animations even with all settings off. The app flips screens in between games instead of using popups so users lose visual anchors. Last, the numbers shown for level of play versus numbers shown on the path make no sense and appear unrelated - as in being rewarded by advancing to level 65 but returning to a circle on the map showing 43. That said, playing the game is smooth, reactive, and precise, exactly as it should be.

Love the game. I’ve always loved this game. I used to play on a Windows phone years ago and loaded it recently to my IPhone 11. It’s quick but since the latest update it takes a very long time to load and it says can’t login to multiplayer. Also please add a “best/highest ranking” field to stats. Some of us many never rank #1 but 22 out of 115 is good. Otherwise, fun, addictive game. Highly recommend.

It’s good, works well, I can’t even complain.. One thing that Microsoft does very well is their casual games. I never have any sort of issue with any of their casual games. They never have any issue and the ads are very well spaced out. I love it even more on that I can earn achievements on it when I’m on the go. My only wish is they had more like this.

Keeps the mind rolling. Had to start all over a few times from glitches. Freezing and no way to go back to the # I was on. Glad it is free. I don’t pay to play. If a game keeps me at a certain level over and over I just delete it. But with this game there is no need to delete it. Has free hints to keep me going which is great because some of the words I have never heard of. And I am 75. For me Wordament is a keeper.

Why the changes?. I’ve been playing this for years. I haven’t been able to sign in for probably 5 or 6 years since I think my account got mixed up with someone else’s. It’s frustrating but I’ve played as a guest for years. I just opened the game and it is totally different. I just like the old game. But I gave it a go. I don’t like how the game ends when you get so many things done. I’m still finding words but I’ve hit some milestone and game over. I tried again to sign in but after jumping through all sorts of hoops still unable to sign in as a named player. No savings stats for me. I don’t need all the glitzy changes. I don’t need feel good points.

Advertisements Crash 90% of the Time. This app was good when it first came out. Clearly Microsoft is now trying to get into the market of subscription based advertisement removal. I’m not going to extorted to remove the ads that cause the app to crash 90% of the time only to start the app again and be forced the same ad that crashes it again. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 times to keep the app running through the advertisement. Not to mention I suspect the add using Ryan Reynolds is likely being done without his exclusive endorsement.

Terrible revamp of a once great game. I get that they want to be all hip and cool. But developers dropped the ball with this one. The music between games is so dumb and boring. It’s a stupid lazy piano ditty just lilting along as the seconds tick by. The graphics during game play are even more annoying. I guess I’m not like the hip cool gamers of today. I don’t need to see “Great job” in writing every time I find a five letter word. Those dumb messages cover the board! It’s a timed game! Let me see the whole board for Pete’s sake! Then they slowly fade away. They should have left the game alone.

Great word game. Love playing. Level increases in difficulty is good. However, in my case, as you advance you gain titles as you go and it seemed that passing a number of levels was consistent with the new title you received. I have been at the Grandmaster title for an inordinately long time even though I have been solving levels consistently as before. Is Grandmaster the highest you can go?

Never Loads. I don’t play many games and the ones I do play are an attempt to keep my mind sharp. This game is the best word game I’ve been able to find, when it loads. It’s very frustrating to have the game just not load and it happens frequently. I play as a guest because I do not have a Microsoft account and I would hate to think that is the issue. It’s a game, why do I need an account? Developers….. any thoughts?

Great but new design flaw. Addictive great game. But your new design prevents those of us with the new iOS XR from seeing info on the very top - seconds to play, what the game theme is. This phone has an entire clean screen except for the very top and that is where needed info is. Someone should look into that and figure out how to make it visible again. Game is now very compromised.

Stupid ads. After the last update the ads have gone to beast mode. Every attempt to exit the ad fails, it reverts to the app store. When hit ‘done’ it relaunches into another ad. When I close the wordament app and reopen and it launches into another ad for a game I do not want to download. I used to play this game a lot, had attained grand master prob 7x. Thought if I rebooted my phone it would stop acting so glitchy (stuck in the word circle animation). No fix... deleted the app and reloaded. Lost my standing and still beast mode for the ads. Very disappointing. No, I will NOT upgrade to ad-free. I’ll just find another game to play.

Good game!. I am enjoying this game a lot, really gives my brain some exercise. Now if only Microsoft would also port the Jumbles game over to the iPad. I have a few suggestions for improvements, though. 1) Provide a way to get the definition of a word. Some words I know are words, but don’t know the exact meaning. Sometimes I accidentally play a word I didn’t even know existed. 2) Provide a way to get a list of all the words I’ve played, along with the number of times I’ve played it. 3) I usually only get a small fraction of the total number of words for a puzzle. How about a way to see those other words? If not all of them, then at least a few. That would be a great way to learn new words! Thanks!

Appreciate the upgraded game, but.... Like: the many options to play word games, the choices within the games for hard to easy, etc, the non-timed options, no need for currency to play. Not so much: the long ads...especially on the "quick" play options, the repetitive grids, the game feedback that obscures the board, the severe power drain, though initially interesting-didn't take long to become ho hum.

Microsoft Wordament. I’m writing again this time in disgust. I really like the game and I always thought highly of Microsoft, unfortunately I think I’m going to change my opinion about Microsoft due to the fact I’ve complained about this problem several times and nothing gets done. I play and completed a world and the game freezes and I can’t continue. I see others have said the same thing but obviously Microsoft is not concerned about this app or their customers. Thanks for nothing Microsoft!

Missing the older interface. Listen, the actual gameplay of Wordament is GREAT. Super addictive and better than the Boggle app in my opinion. But I am REALLY disappointed with the new look, and not just for aesthetic reasons. The new font, colors, and arrows/highlighting make it much harder to play the game. The lighter and thinner font is much harder to see against the tiles. It used to be hard for me to put the app down. Now...not so hard. I wish that there were options that would allow you to change the font back and get rid of the arrows/highlighting.

What happened?. LOVED the old game. The new one is okay but is slower. The results pages are poorly designed now - difficult to read because the writing is small and faded Worse - the daily challenges, quick plays,, and adventures are ALL the same defective game of tiny colored blocks. It’s not even a game. It’s a demo that takes you to an ad and request for money. The real daily challenges and quick plays either don’t exist or can’t be accessed. Foul.

??words. I have been playing Wordament for over a year. However, I have noted that many of the “words” (quote intentional) are not actual words, but slang terms or partial words. For those of us who have a vocabulary above the 4th grade level, it is an exercise in frustration. Actual words are not used and are replaced with misspellings, slang terms, nicknames or partial words. However, some levels are better than others. I have not yet decided if I will delete the game or not.

Bad update, screen sensitivity issue.. I used to play the original version of this game all the time and actually got quite good (consistently top 10), but since this new version has come out it is not the same. The sensitivity on the touch screen is very spotty and a lot of times I have to re-swipe words 2 or 3 times before it picks up all the letters. This was never a problem with the old version and it has nothing to do with my phone. Please fix the sensitivity issue or at least give an option where the old version is still available.

Freezes a LOT!!!. I love the game however, it freezes up a lot and I cannot make any progress for days or in some cases over a week. The seems to happen whenever I am leveling up, the message displays stating that I can open the gate but no matter how many times I tap it, it never opens! I’ve restarted my iPad attempting to force it to unfreeze but it doesn’t work. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Updated review.... Now that the daily challenges work again I am happy to give the app a 5 star review. It is one of the best word games without a doubt. I don't have a lot of time for games so a five minute break with Wordament is perfect. I would love it if we could click on words to quickly see the definition. I know I've spelled some words that I haven't the foggiest idea of what they mean.

Fun, but annoying. It's addictive and fun, but two things are soooo annoying: (1) The frequency with which I am frozen out at the 23 second level of the countdown to the next game (so, I don't get my score and, by the time I log back in, I miss part of the next game) and (2) the "You're guessing" penalty after a few consecutive mistakes. The penalty is especially annoying because I'm usually simply misspelling a word rather than "guessing."

Inaccurate point calculation. Gem collection seems to be the only game with a problem. It does not calculate the points properly on all occasions. For example, two blues and a rainbow should give you four points. Sometimes it only gives you 3. Two blue gems sometimes only gives you one point. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme nor reason for it. It’s very frustrating because you can lose the game based on this miscalculation. Please fix this!

could be much better. This is a great opportunity to be educational by displaying word definitions but no. The bonus round is not bonus since you have to complete it to get full score. Many repetitions due to puzzles being hand made instead of randomly generated. E.g. words ending in -tion. You can count on "ration" to be one of the answer. Things can be made better but nobody has bothered. It's an ok but not great game, so I give it an ok but not great rating.

Addictive game, unfortunately. This game is addictive, which is unfortunate because there are ENTIRELY too many ads if you don't pay for a premium subscription to remove them. I just was forced to watch a video ad, after which a countdown began for a still image. When I exited out of the ad, yet another countdown began and when I tried to exit out this time, I was redirected to the App Store. I have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, which removes ads for another Microsoft mobile game, it should remove ads for this one as well.

Great game!. It's a clever game. Very fun and very addictive! I'd like to see the time between the list of words and the rank of the players be a parameter that can be set by the user. I have no interest in seeing where other players are ranked but I'd like to have more time to explore the words that I didn't get in the puzzle.I also like to be able to tap on the word and get its definition. But overall it's a super game and a lot of fun!

Great game but…. I’ve been playing this for years and love it. However since my last apple upgrade 17.1.1, it no longer syncs with iCloud. I was not able to find any link or way to contact customer support. I tried deleting the app and re-downloading it. Now it won’t even load. There is a pop up that asks to allow tracking, which I will NOT do. If that is the only way to play the game, I guess I’ll have to find something else.
