Loss of Physican Handoff. Unable to find physician handoff in new update. App UI is also much less intuitive and requires more steps to login.

Not a great app.. No tracking board views, no micro results, no image viewing, horrible user interface.

Accurate dictations. I use this app to dictate and then transfer dictated sections into the PowerChart office note. Unable to dictate social history, family history or past medical history. Useful to look at results otherwise practically worthless. As are most Cerner products which have great potential but the company seems to go out of its way to ignore customer feedback in order to improve its offerings. Such a shame!

Still lacks even the most basic features. This app completely lacks the ability to perform even the most basic and frequently performed functions, such as **ordering medications.** As a physician who works with two different mobile EMR apps, Cerner’s PowerChartTouch highlights glaring feature disparities that are emblematic of the long-standing deficiencies inherent to the Cerner’s parent EMR. Of note, these deficiencies are a solved problem in other EMR apps. For example, Epic’s Haiku app has supported basic functions such as ordering medications for years. It is remarkable that — despite this profound feature disparity — Cerner’s PowerChartTouch app has made no apparent progress towards integrating even the most basic features within the past 12 months. I recommend that physicians seek out alternative EMRs when possible and avoid Cerner’s languishing platform altogether given the seeming lack of active development.

Needs microbiology section. As an infectious diseases consultant this app is essentially useless to me because there is no microbiology section to review cultures and susceptibilities. This app needs to have actual information added in.

Helpful…when it works. I need to sign-in and sign-in again and again all day long. Then it freezes up completely, and I cannot even re-download it. What a pain ing the neck. When it works, it is helpful to have it open in the patient’s room while I am talking them.

Drains my battery. The newest version drains my battery. After 15 minutes using the app my battery is down 30%. I have an iPhone 8+, and previously my battery would last 2 days, now I’m having to recharge it at lunch

Stalls out. Since last up grade stalls out all the time requires to be deleted and reloaded.

Horrific update. Deleted the ability to lookup new schedules of providers. Just got rid of a huge reason to use the application. Thanks for changing the font, that was what was missing... Bring back the old functionality so that health care providers can do their jobs. Utterly ridiculous.

App crashing. Will not let me into the app without crashing.

Has potential. … really confused as to why the app launches a Bluetooth phone call when using in your car…? Makes no sense, chews through battery life, and is frustrating when you’re in your car!!!

Becoming more useful, still slow. I tend to use the iPhone app more, however my biggest issue is with the slow loading speeds. This must be improved! Otherwise, I am happy to see more ordering features and it is great for tracking labs during hospitalization.

Schedule viewing: open slots. Why can’t I see my available slots on my schedule? I don’t see any settings that I can adjust so it must be within the app. Also agree with previous post about being able to view other schedules - fix both issues please!!

Getting worse. This used to be a really great app, but it just keeps getting worse and worse. It seems as though you are trying to make it obsolete. Starting today it now logs out after about 10 minutes, even if I’m using the app. The display for lab results is basically useless as you can no longer look up just by the most recent labs. If I leave the app to go to another app, when I come back it goes back to the patient homepage, not where I was 30 seconds ago. When I log in for the day, it is still on the previous day. Please restore this to the functional efficient app that it previously was.

Where is the customer service response. Seriously, Cerner where is the customer response to all of the concerns about this new release? There are some legitimate issues here! C’mon folks, get with the program.

Updated now not working. After the last update it goes into a loop of log in and log out.

Terrible app, avoid if you can. This is the single worst piece of medical record keeping software that I have ever used (vs Epic and other homegrown EMRs). Anytime I want to dictate notes for my clinic, I usually have to login and log off of the app around five times and hope to be lucky to make a solid connection. The dragon integration is great, when it works, and unfortunately that is infrequent. There is zero consistency day-to-day in which work-around will allow me to open and use the software. Unfortunately, our clinic has bought into this Cerner ecosystem and we are far too reliant on this app. There is terrible product technical support, frequent unexplained downtime and surprise updates that tend to render the app unusable for at least several days after launch each time they come out.

If I was in charge, would fire the team that made this app. To have a multi billion dollar EHR company coming up with such a third rate app is quite astonishing. Who designs your app?! Clicks don’t work, power plans are ill conceived,. Don’t believe me? Try using restraints or medications that create interaction alert. You will throw your phone in agony. I have used this app for years and each improvement falls short of basic software principles...

Major stability issues. App routinely crashes resulting in lost work. Would be so convenient for charting if it didn’t crash at least once every note.

Very impressed. The functionality of this application is great. It is very user-friendly providers are able to check a patient’s vitals, labs, documents, imaging reports, medications before they walk into a room. Something that needs improvement is the ability to create patient list within the mobile device. Currently there is no way to create a patient list on my phone however it would be a great addition to this application.

Years behind Epic’s Haiku. - pretty useless for inpatient services. Doesn’t really make sense why CORES Mobile and PowerChart are two separate apps - powerchart overall needs to have the ability for lab notifications and secure chat

Clunky . No better than Instanote. I don’t see any pitiful at use apart from writing a note. The results cannot be tagged . Microbiology is not available. Discharge meds cannot be placed on this interface. At the end of the day , cannot function as stand alone.

Upgrade doesn’t work. The new update has ruined the app. If the app actual opens it freezes and won’t start back up. My days have gotten longer playing with this. Please fix this!!

Very stressful. Why are we forced to buy new phone if this app is worse the the old version which worked just fine? In this time of COVID-19 when doctors are so stressed, they don’t need another reason like the so called “upgraded app” that will add to their stress and wastes time that should be used for patient care.

Repeatedly gives system error. I’ve downloaded this app 10 times. It allows me to review one patient, but if I exit that chart and try to view another, it freezes. I have to close the program and reload it every time I want to move to another patient. This has been happening for a year. I have attempted to contact customer service, but they are worthless.

Search. You removed one of the most useful features in the app. Predictive patient search. Now I cannot find the patient if I don’t have the exact name.

Slow to fix issues. Haven’t been able to read prior notes on here for over a month. Told it was a known issue. Super unhelpful.

This app needs: Micro view and increased ordering ability. Why is the micro tab conveniently missing? It needs to be there to make antibiotic decisions moving forward. Also, why is the ability to order things limited? Please add the ability to order fluids. As of now we can only cancel them. At some point in the very near future, please add the ability to order/edit power plans. Also make the app faster overall.

Always freezes!!. The app would be so nice to be able to See where patients are to round, but it ALWAYS freezes up!! I need to restart my phone for it to work

Old version preferred. When the new update came we lost an important trend review for data. For example, when a lab was selected a double tap would open the details of the lab and include a graph trend of the measured value over time. This was very valuable for many types of measurements including, vitals, specific blood pressure trends, heart rates, and important lab values. Now with the update, vitals are not available in a trend view, nor labs. Labs are only listed by dates, and not easily accessed like before. Our team rounds appreciated the ease of data access and mobility throughout the hospital on our service and power touch expedited our rounding, now since the update the data is not as timely/accurately updated, and the trending capabilities are absent. Very disappointed in the updates. Please bring back the trending graphs and detailed views of vitals and labs that were available before. Dictation is spot on 100% and a time saver, but not used anymore by our team since graphing trend review was taken away.

Please fix the dictation. Dictation was probably the best part of this app. Now it doesn’t pick up half the words, and is very slow. Please fix this as this app has largely become useless for many of us that dictate notes on it.

Crashes all the time.. Descent application if did not crash often!

Pretty useless. On corner for 4 years now. Not able to efficiently use any aspect of the portable app.

Clunky. Very light version of Power Chart. Voice recognition is stellar! Helpful for phone calls from patients to look up labs and imaging. Unnecessary haptic steps. Real estate taken up by useless options like on the opening page: checkbox for remember user. Not necessary because the user is always remembered anyway.

App does not open. I updated to the new version today. The app will not open on my iPad at all, and I have an iPad Pro with the latest software upgrade. Tried turning my iPad on and off but doesn’t work.

Terrible. Since the latest update the app has been freezing nonstop. I constantly have to reinstall the app or restart my phone. Please do better

Won’t let me sign in. Despite having the hospital IT department working diligently with me for two days in a row two hours at a time. I cannot sign in. Eventually locks me out of Cerner and they, IT, have to then unlock my account. It’s been a disaster. They’ve asked from Cerner to help with the matter. Hasn’t worked.

App freezes. Freezes many times requiring the phone restart otherwise no way to unfreeze it.

Working. But crashing. I do a lot of work on my iPad. It’s crashing often on. Always asking me to sign in. Very difficult even look at the patient in their charts. Needs real help from the developers. It needs a resuscitation. Getting worse now. Please make it better. Please.

Poor execution. Slow and archaic. Best description I’ve heard from a fellow physician, “It’s ok for everything except admitting, discharging or writing patient orders”.

Domon face recognition. Is there a risk of somebody stealing my thumb or face every 24 hours? There’s no reason for it to not open my app every time?

Missing blood gas values. Nice app that works with ipad but is incomplete. All labs show up except blood gas and that is what I need as a pulmonary doctor to check on my patients. Will try to use and then if needed call the hospital to get the blood gas number from the nurse! Hopefully this is a minor issue can be fixed soon.

Last update broke a perfectly working app. I don’t know what they did with the late update but now I constantly have errors with processing orders and even opening up the chart. They need to roll things back and work out the bugs. Unusable until then.

New update has issues. I no longer have Subjective or ROS or Assessment to dictate on the 6.3.0 update. Please fix

No support for PowerPlans. What a horrible idea. Who would think that cutting out crucial functionality will make for a good app.

Observation Status Patients do not Show. Is there a reason why Observation Status patients do not show in the app? Or is it per the customer’s settings?

Loss of flowsheets and viewing current labs first. With the new updates we lost flowsheets and labs vital signs and also lost viewing only current labs first and the ability to pull up old labs now the laboratory screen is filled with The clutter of old laboratory results that Are of no importance to the current day placing orders are slower constantly verification of patient physician relationship and is slow. Microbiology not available such as cultures and sensitivity, all charge after discharge not accessible, medication history dosing scheduled of current inpatient orders not available. All this should be available just like they are on otherPrograms. Can’t believe it’s not done.

No microbiology, clunky, poor UI. Desperately needs Microbiology interface. Who are you kidding? Microbiology data is >50% of inpatients. You cannot make a decision on many patient’s without knowing culture results, ID and sensitivities. So rounding with this in the hallway is limited. I’m quite facile with technology and figured how to use this with forced patience and perseverance. It is not intuitive to place and edit orders. Good luck those who claim to be luddites, then again you may not be trying this anyway. It’s so slow migrating from one patient to the next, and between patient lists. Last update seemed to help slow things more. Good job. Allow to see patients who have been discharged or in a list of discharged patients. That is important if you need to search to contact someone or follow up with them. Currently d/c’ed patients disappear from all lists. Need MAR tab to see what meds have been given and when. This helps deciding if you need to order that extra potassium or magnesium among other things. Feel free to reach out to me if you really want more feedback.

Even more disappointing than desktop version. Very slow, clunky, not intuitive... took me 5 minutes of searching for patient’s contact info before I decided my time would be better spent warning others of this disappointing app.

Needs to cater better for Australian sites. Being able to view Outpatient lists (Scheduled Patient List) would be very beneficial

Make it useful!. Only works for some specialties, no OB or prenatal, won't bring up pdfs, can't pull up lists from care teams. As one IT md said, cerner is "almost good" but never quite gets there.

Working well overall. Very useful for review of data quickly. The most recent updates have lost blood pressure and weight data to show but still helpful and very efficient for rounds.

Latest version is missing the ability to add providers in ‘Resource Selection’. Bring back the ability to add providers in ‘Resource Selection’ on the ‘Schedule’ tab! It is a blunder to see that this feature was modified & removed from the very latest Cerner PowerChart update released on 03/06/2020.

Nice app. Is here also an android version coming? I am forced to carry a second phone to use this app I the hospital.

No assessment and plan. Who builds a medical note app without an assessment and plan field within it

Miserable. The app has always been glitchy, but with the recent update, frequent shut downs, freezing’s, microphones not working, slow to upload to the main system, etc. Have to frequently delete and reinstall the app, or shut off my phone to reboot the app and get it to work. Our system helpdesk completely unable to assist in a meaningful way, as the app is fundamentally lousy.Might have to wait my job over this. Life is short!

Doc pleaser. Overall the app continues to improve and physicians have adopted PC touch with favorable reviews. Here are a few recommendations: 1. Include a detailed list of all upgrades for new releases on the App Store. Most users are not UCERN members. 2. Allow collapsible sections such as problem list that can be saved by the user. 3. Allow tagging 4. Custom notes are needed. 5. Micro and path sections missing.

Please make accessible on iOS 9. Not possible to use on my iPad because the latest release is non compatible and when I register my die ce with my organization, it tells me it cannot proceed because try version is outdated. Could you please extend compatibility to previous iOS versions? Thanks

Dragon. Current version's dragon keeps disappearing. That was the best feature of this app! Please fix it.

No microbiology. = functionally useless

Not sure if it is really practical to use !!. There are many flaws and errors and of course positive developments in the app. 1- pretty slow and ask password all the time if it becomes inactive for a while 2- it don't pull up labs, family history, social history , medication list despite being in placed in power chart in windows and Mac version 3- it don't place current vital signs 4- very strong and accurate voice recognition software attached . I would say almost 100 accurate but there is no detail instruction how to use it under help 5- placing the orders and seeing patient list are amazingly easy. 6- it don't pull up or load any template from the server. Not sure if it is practical to use in busy clinic settings. Eks

Yep, biggest problem Cerner’s emr has is inability to understand other languages. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Family practice. Very impressed with the speed and accuracy of the digital voice recorder Easy to use and easy to do a hospital follow-up notes and procedure notes However needs improvement on the speed of electronic prescription routing to pharmacies windows version is still faster

Slow after last update. Loved this app for accessing basic chart info & orders while on the go. Loved, past tense. Now it is so slow that it stalls 2/3 of the time. Almost useless now. Fix this and it'll be 4-5 stars. Please!
