Love It!. I have used this app for years to keep a credit card budget. We are retired and use one credit rewards card for everything that we can. I set up a limited amount for each month beginning with the billing date for the card. This way as I add my charges it subtracts them off the total amount I budgeted and keeps me from over spending. This is so easy and I know almost to the penny what my bill will be before I get it. I. In the note section I put where I made the charge and any other notes about what I bought. Another great thing is I can set my credit card to notify me when I make purchases and that reminds me to add it to the app. If I shop five places I can come home and pull down my iPhone notifications and add them easily to the app without getting out all the receipts and not worry about losing them. The decreasing balance shows me if I am running out of money to quickly. Try this if you way a simple way to budget. Also I was having trouble syncing my iPad and phone and Mark was prompt in helping solve that issue.

Great for basic spending tracking. I haven’t put much into this app yet, so I can’t speak to the more advanced features. I have been using this to track spending while I work towards getting back on track with a zero balance spending plan type budgeting system. The app works well for this. If you are breaking things up into specific categories, you are better off overwriting default categories you don’t think you will be using in the future (or are unsure of) as it appears that you can delete categories. That will help to keep the size of your list down to a manageable level. This doesn’t tie in with accounts (preferred for security reasons) and requires some level of hands on work, which forces you to pay attention to where your money is going. I find this preferable to more automated apps as you are able to spit purchases into more defined categories instead of going into autopilot and not paying as close attention as I should. It helps keep spending real for me when using plastic over cash. Once I get into full zero balance spending mode (I prefer looking at it as a spending plan rather than a restriction), I will look into the budgeting features I am not currently using and will try to report back then.

Better than expected. Has Multiple accounts, reoccurring expenses and income with transfer capability between accounts, reports showing future months/years expenses vers income. I made my normal expense account with monthly expenses and income and then a savings account with a monthly transfer from my expense account to savings and the reports shows my future savings goal as well as my future expenses account showing my ability to meet expenses with income and if a month is in trouble I can modify that months savings to make up the difference. It a spending and savings plan like a budget or a general ledger and I try to keep it up with any additional expenses or income (ha ha) in order to stay on the plan. I find it fun to maintain and to balance with my banks reality in the monthly carry forward dollar balance. Sure I have a bunch of visa charges but here I only have one monthly visa expense entry as my total expense goal for all those monthly visa transactions.

I love this program and have been using it for years. Highly recommended and love the reports, level of customization and everything about it. It has been helping me track the incidental expenses (after I constantly insist the whole family give me their receipts) and had been pointing out the glaring areas where we need to monitor our casual spending (eating out, coffee, convenience stores) and I love it. Just one little bug that cropped up after my recent upgrade to the iPhone XS max... The third party keyboard I use (Microsoft WordFlow) is now magnified somehow when I go to enter expenses and the far right of the keyboard is covered up of the side/unusable. I have to switch to the Apple keyboard. And it doesn't happen always (which is curious) but about 80% of the time. I want to keep using this app and I will regardless, but if it's something you can fix, that would be super, too! **kudos**

Makes Finance Fun!. I have been tracking my spending and income with this app for two years. It’s never let me down. I like how it lets you make your own categories of both spending and income, and breaks it down by percentages where your money is coming from and where it’s going. It also lets you make notes in every entry, in case you ever wonder exactly what the heck you bought and where the heck all your money is going. The main screen displays your expenditures by category in descending order, by month (or yearly, or weekly) so you have an even better idea where the heck all your money is going. Let’s face it, life is expensive, but tracking helps me feel way more in control and confident about my relationship with money. Highly recommended!

iCloud backup feature. The app is simple and clean. One is able to create categories and update those categories. It has a Dropbox backup and auto sync ability. One can change the fonts and sort the categories. However, when I decided to downgrade my Dropbox, the backup and sync feature continued to work, but I was running out of Dropbox storage space. I hoped that the iCloud feature was available to backup and auto sync, but it was not. The lack of the iCloud feature had me wanting to find another similar app that had the feature, but unfortunately, I’ve yet to find one that’s like this app. I also started a template on Apple Numbers to track spending, but it lacked convenience to update while out and about. I’ll continue to keep an eye out on an app to replace this one unless the iCloud feature is made available. I believe I’ve made a one time purchase to use this app, but I’m okay with moving on once another app has all the functions I’m looking for.

I absolutely love this app, but I have a suggestion for the upgrade.. I’ve used this app for months and absolutely love it. It’s convenient, simple, and is better than other apps I’ve tried because of that. Since I’ve been traveling a lot, I have been using the app to track my expenses with a new currency. While I can change the currency symbol in the settings, I think it would be an excellent addition for the developers to offer an option to automatically show the exchange rate. I’ve been living in China, so I’m adding up my expenses with RMB. It would be nice to have an idea of how much I’ve been spending in American dollars without having to constantly leave the app and check the exchange rate. I’ve been using the free version, but a service like that would definitely make me purchase the upgrade.

Tracking Finances. I have been using Wallet for four years now. I did an upgrade when I first started this program. I love all the functions that are offered. Everything is easy to use and will be great at tax time. You will find this program is not difficult to use but truly tracks expenditures and income. For years I used another program and find this is far better. Don’t hesitate I am 90; years and find it great to track my finances. I am back again to tell you don’t hesitate. I love this program. If you should need help it is there for you. Still using all the five stars. I am back to rate this program. Be sure to read my above notes. Each time I start to enter my expenditures or income I am so please with the ease of using this program and all of the items that are available to me. Once again a great five stars.

Perfect. I use this app nearly every day. Makes categorizing and recording expenses a breeze. Great for the budget impaired with a simple but well done format. Free version is fine but i paid the the three bucks for the extras and don't regret a penny. I use this to keep track of the "digital envelope" portion of the cash envelope system I use to keep my finances in check via the handy option to create individual transaction notes. The only thing I can think to ask for in future versions would be that on the main page that shows the list view of your budget summary that the amounts would be arranged by date not just the order you happened to type them in. UPDATE: This app does have color selection and icons for tags...whoohoo! Missed them the first time...now I love it even more! Thanks so much!

Simple and effective. This is the income and expense tracking app I had searched for. I wanted an app that did not have the complications of linking with financial accounts but could be used to manually enter my payments and income simply. This app allows for considerable customization including personalizing categories, adding notes to transactions and turning on and off budgeting features. I purchased the Pro version for a small fee to add syncing between my ipad and iphone, easy back ups, export to a spreadsheet or to a very attractive PDF, repeating transactions, and no ads. You can experiment with the basic free version as well. I found the app to be easy to use but refined and stable. I have looked at other apps but feel this one best meets my needs reliably and I enjoy using it.

Exceptional!. I very rarely — if ever — give 5-star reviews. For me and my simple needs, “Spending” deserves it, hands down. No sign-up required! Inexpensive, 1-time upgrade price, (which I gladly paid after 2 days try-out). Easy-to-read data on my small screen! Easy to understand; very small learning curve. I tested about 7 other apps before this; most offered way too many features, some I’d never need. Retired, I live on a fixed monthly allowance, separate from income. All I wanted/needed was a way to breakdown and record my day-to-day spending habits, helping me to visualize (at a glance) where the money was going. Other pros: setting transaction reminders or just inputting on the go... automatic reoccurring monthly payments.... editing/adding categories... sort options... adding notes. More than pleased, I definitely recommend this app if you want a simple, straightforward spending tracker.

Good, simple expense tracker. I needed to track expenses for my developmentally disabled son for his SSI expenses. This appears to provide an easy way to record expenses. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of a full budgeting system, which turns out to be perfect—I didn’t want to use all of those features. I’m sure I will be upgrading to the paid version soon—just trying before buying but there are a few more features that would be nice that are only included in the paid version and I’ll be happy to get rid of ads. Edit: I ended up buying. Very worth it. It’s easy to use and I can backup to my Dropbox and share with my wife that way. Also a great feature is the ability to export a CSV (tab or comma) of expenses for any range, such as the prior year. I can get a full record of the entire year for audit purposes, if ever needed.

Powerful app for freelancers & self employed. I’ve downloaded and tried more than a dozen expense tracking apps and most didn’t work for me. At first this one seemed too simple as I wanted to view transactions by category. Then I discovered that when you pull down on the screen you see the categories box and you can choose to view transactions by the categories you create. I upgraded to Pro then exported expenses and discovered you can export by category, a range of dates, by the month or year or whatever. At this point I saw what a game changer it was for me. When I did an email export all I had to do was click on the file from my desktop and I had a spreadsheet with all the transactions in order. If you had a mind to you could make categories that match your Schedule C for taxes which is what I did. So I have expense categories: Post Office, Shop Supplies, Office, Utilities, eBay fees, etc. I have income categories: Web Sales, eBay Sales, Shop Sale, Investment Sold, etc. Whenever I want to see any or all the transactions I can see any part of them by Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly. Note that it syncs through DropBox so I can see it on my iPad or iPhone. No subscription. You can set up multiple accounts and set reminders, set a passcode, set auto-backup and other tweaks. Highly recommend especially if you’re trying to track receipts, payments and income. Charles

Super Helpful!. This app has been a great tool to help me be more aware of how much money I'm spending and what I'm actually spending it on. When you add your expenses to the app, you can select which category it falls under (i.e. eating out, gas, groceries, etc). This helped me realize exactly how much I was spending in each category. They also have an option to add recurring charges (i.e. subscriptions). This option is for premium users only BUT they give you the option to watch an advertisement to get a one-time access to the recurring charge option. Meaning, for every recurring charge you enter, you would have to watch an advertisement. So I love that even with the free app, they still find ways to give you access to more features.

Best Spending App I’ve Used. I have use this app for over a year and it is one of the best. It allows me to create categories for my purchases and I really like the fact that I can sync the app between multiple devices using Dropbox. This allows my wife and I to keep an accurate log of our spending. I don’t need to link my bank account to this I just simply need to enter in deposit amounts and occasionally verify the running balance in the app with the bank account. The only thing I wish the developer would add would be a biweekly time period. As my pay schedule, and probably many of yours, is every two weeks. With this feature the app would perfectly track deposits and spending between paychecks and give me accurate reporting. The only time periods available our weekly and monthly, so I am currently using the monthly.

Gain Control of How You Use Your Money. First, it’s important to note that this app is almost entirely accessible to VoiceOver users. You won’t be able to take full advantage of the graphs and reports, but the data is available in other ways that are equally beneficial. This is easy to use, and it doesn’t intrude into your bank accounts. Granted, you have to enter your transactions manually, but there are some real advantages to that. Categories and transactions are easy to input and easy to understand. Those who crave color in their categories can have it. There are several useful ways to sort your data, and yes, you can export it if you need to. Like any other app of its type, this app is only as good as the data you enter. Yes, it takes some time to enter data, but the revelations you get about how you’re spending your money are fascinating indeed. This app is your portal to financial peace of mind that will be harder to achieve without it. Finally, note that the developer is extremely responsive to questions and provides accurate helpful answers. Your first assignment: Buy the upgrade, then track it in the app as an expense. You’ll be glad you bought the upgrade.

Wealth Tool. I have been using this tool, the paid version for over five years now. I believe family finances need to be run like a business as in you should be in the green each month and never be in the red or beyond your bills. This allows me to put in my salary as it changes and make it reoccurring each month. I then can put bills As they come in and make them reoccurring each month. Keeping track of all transaction as they happen or at end of day. I think the biggest problem with people are they are not balancing a checkbook anymore. This tool allows you to know exactly how much cash you have on hand at all times. This tool has helped me gain confidence to retire at my goal of 55. I recommended this tool to family and friends often.

Great app!. Very versatile and easy to use. It allows for tracking my budget multiple ways. Also I like that it's in sync on my phone and iPad. Update: I’ve used it for 7 years now and still love it. Along with knowing how I spend my money the app makes it easy to track my bank balance and it has greatly shortened the time it takes to balance my bank statement each month(only takes about 5 to 10 minutes). I also can easily see how much I spend each year, or month on all the different spending categories. I really like the ability to download the budget information and reports. Update: still love the app. Use it to manage my all my finances. I input spending/income multiple times a week and it’s very easy to use. I also use the recurring spending and income feature which makes the recurring items very easy.

Nice tracking personal transparency. I want to give credit when it has been earned. Nice way to keep your daily expenses in check. If you are a free spender but want to scale back a bit. This is the app for you. Updated: Been using the upgraded version and It really helps you spend wiser. Great job with this app🏆👍👍 Highly recommend to anyone looking to manage expenses. Updated: After almost a year of use.... it’s my go to app. I must say that it take discipline to want to input your expenses but when you do.... you truly have a wonderful tool readily available to assist you in spending wiser. Once again .... awesome! Update: A Must Have for best method in money management.🏆🏆✅✅✅ UPDATED 2: THis app is a must have. This plandemic has made it challenging so this helps keep you in alignment with your financial goals. Just get it..... well worth it ..... Keep on doing a great job.... you have a winner with this application. 👍👍 Updated: Still going strong and I will say its a very effective tool to have if you want to track your expenses. I personally have been able to fully see where I could eliminate spending waste.

Free has all I want, but..... Lol. Not sure what I was thinking with being grumpy about paying in my earlier review. I mean it’s like 3 bucks. So many things want a subscription now! Had stopped using it and recently decided I needed to get my financial act together. Glad I paid and upgrading to 5 stars!! All I want is to just keep basic track of my spending. Love that I can make new categories AnD change the little Icons. And colors!. Easy to use, etc. Most of the newer apps want you to make a budget EVERY MONtH I don’t personally need that, I know how much I have. I just need to watch myself as I spend it on the more random stuff in life and I can do that easily with this with no subscription fee! ***This is the part I changed my mind about FYI: BUT (Everybody has a big but"--peewee Herman) I wish there was an option for getting rid of the ads without having to pay for a much fancier app. I would gladly pay a buck to stop the ads ( many of which are annoyingly for the upgrade I neither want nor need) , but I'm not going to pay several bucks for the upgrade when all I want is no ads. Overall it's totally worth a few pop ups for free though!

Home Budgeting. I downloaded and updated to the premium to get the extra features. I think that was worth the small cost. It is a simple-to- use program, and I like being able to add categories on the fly. Since I am retired, and have a small income, I like that I can put in a fixed budget amount, and then add misc. income to calculate come a total spending allowance per month. Then, there is an auto calculate that shows the under/over spending and the ability to carry over a positive or negative variance. I had created a spreadsheet in Numbers, but that was a bit clumsy, so this is a refreshing change. I enter the expenses on both the ipad and iphone, and the sync through Dropbox has been working well with live updates. This program was designed very intuitively and is exactly what I had been looking for. I think there are other apps which might have more features, but the ones I looked at seemed more complicated. This is simple and provides just the amount of information that I need to monitor my budget. It would be nice to be able to take a snapshot of receipts, however. There is a both a pdf and csv export function, so I can export the report into a spreadsheet (Excel or CSV) or as a pdf into an app like Notability for viewing. So far, in the first week, I give it a high rating for simplicity and comprehensiveness.

Fabulous App. And now it talks to my Apple Watch.. Needs to be updated with better graphics. But it is still THE BEST ‼️ But, really it hardly needs any more updates ( other than maybe a refreshed look and feel - it's looking dated). But... Just get the App. It does everything you may want and more. Spring for the Pro version. It's well worth it. My favourite App on my entire phone. Hands down. Something I may need soon is to allow me to delete some old categories I had for a previous year (it's getting crowded) - But make sure that if ever I go back and look at transactions from the previous year - it still reports that old category. Even though I have deleted it for the current /subsequent year. Anyway, I still think this is the best App on my phone. I have used it for over a year now. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The good, the bad and the ugly.... The good: Don’t have to sync bank accounts with the app, no bank account errors or sync issues, don’t have to pay a monthly fee for using the app like other financial apps, a flat one time fee of less than $10 is needed to unlock Premium features for the app. The bad: You have to manually put in all your transactions and do everything else (except the calculations for the balances). You have to pay that one time fee if you really need to use the app on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. The ugly: I could never figure out how to use the “budget mode” and had to figure out, with help from Heaven, how to use this app for budgeting. I emailed the support guy on help with setting up a budget and all he did was repeat a step in the instructions to set the app to budget mode which was no help to me at all. I setup an account with my expenses as income for my budget and compare them to my transactions that I put in my financial institutions accounts that I made. I keep my budget and income rolling from month to month and if I need to change my budget and my income I can (which is a good thing).

Very useful. The app is very simple to use and I’ve been using it daily for years. Everything is manual, it’s not linked to your card or account or anything but I’m completely fine with it, because it keeps me more accountable with my spending, typing in manually my dumb purchases makes me realize I spend money on dumb things lol I love it, I love how it’s organized by spending categories, you can add custom categories and even a large variety of icons to distinguish your categories. It can also hold many types of accounts, such as checking, savings, cash, etc and organizes it by amount spent that month. I really love this app, there’s even a pie chart to show how much you spend your money on what. And it’s free!! I will forever use this app to manage my finances, highly recommend if you’re trying to keep yourself accountable for your spending

The best expense tracking app. This is the best expense tracking app EVER. Do not let this app fad away! The features are straightforward and easily customizable. Minimalistic is the key. It does not link to any of your credit cards of bank accounts. All you need to do is spend 5 seconds every time when you make a spending or income of course! As a finance professional, I have been using this app for over 3 years and it helped me manage my budget and help me reduced my debt by 70%. The most difficult part is to have a habit of logging your expenses. I hope the app can work on making it not merely a tool app but also a lifestyle. Without jeopardizing the minimalism, the app can have better reminders to log expenses, as well as easy to understand tips for people without finance/accounting knowledge to use the app at their benefits.

Favorite Spending App. I’ve had this app for a couple of years now, and I can definitely so it’s worth it. It works as intended. It’s free but you can pay a one time premium which I like. Everything is done manually, except for the report, which is really nice. I used to use Excel to track my budget and this works way more conveniently as I can add my expenses on the go. You can set a budgeting amount but you won’t be able to create a budget per category, which would be very nice if that can be added in. I wish there was a bank feed option and the app instead of manually adding expenses because sometimes I forget or am too busy to add expenses manually. Lastly I’ve had an issue in the past, which has possibly been resolved, that when the app offboards from my iPhone, the data is lost unless you create backup files in Dropbox. I wish the app used other backup options such as Google Drive because I don’t use Dropbox so it’s kind of inconvenient there. Overall great app. Again, bank feeds, budget per category, please fix the offboarding and losing my data issue, and other backup options such as G-Drive and I will throw my money at you.

Great app. I love this program. It is very easy to use. I love the simplicity of adding categories as you go. I don’t use it to budget, but to keep track of expenses for a very small home business. I am able to print out a report suitable for my accountant to do my taxes. I would like to be able to split categories on a single receipt. And I would like a way to assign tags to transactions to designate what they relate to - for example supplies/home vs supplies/kennel vs supplies/rental property. Instead I just enter them on separate accounts, which is easy. Would also love to add a photo of receipts. I would also like to be able to enter the date from the keyboard rather than scroll through the whole year on the calendar. I also need to enter another account, because I don’t have a way to assign tags to transactions. I have 5 accounts now and can’t find a way to add one more?? But it is so easy and fast to enter transactions. I really do like it & use it. Fix these things & I will rate it 5 or even 6. I would also like to put it on my computer or my IPad. I would love a response from the developers.

Love this simple & super practical tracker!. I know there’s tons of automated, fancier trackers out there. But I actually think that the manual aspect of inputting your spending can be very helpful in managing your budget more actively. If that’s your belief too, then try this tracker! I really love it. I’ve been using it for years, and it’s helped me manage and understand my spending areas. It’s a very basic design, and I love that I don’t end up wasting time. I love that I’m able to create my own categories, and choose which category each payment/source of income belongs to. I’ve told multiple friends about this tracker and I know at least one of them uses it consistently, and has loved it and found it helpful for similar reasons too! Thank you to the team behind this app. You’re positively impacting the long-term financial quality of their lives! Thank you!

Useful but..::. I just got this app and I find it useful in tracking my daily expenses. As soon as I make the purchase or pay for my monthly bills I input it right away into the system therefore it allows me to stay on top of my spending. I am still debating on paying the fee and am still looking around for a better app because there ar some things that I want in the app. For instance, I cannot share the whole expenses to my husband without us sitting together and him scrolling thru my phone to see the detail of the expense. Another thing is I want to print it but there’s no option for that either. Although, I wish there’s a separate window for just the carry over and income so I can screen shot and share it but the income & expense detail are all incorporated in one window (transactions) and there are no sort option like if I want to see just the Income and Carry over. I will stay in this app if they can improve on that. I hope my suggestions will be taken into consideration.

Pleasantly surprised with this app. This app has several good features for maintaining records of income and expenses. I have only used it for a couple of weeks and so far it is much more to my liking than the other four or five apps that I tried. The dissatisfaction with other apps is what brought about my surprise that this one actually does what I wanted it to do. You can maintain a good record of spending in each category, which you can customize to suit your needs. You can also do the same for multiple sources of income. It does some basic reports which are useful and may be all you need. Also you can run several different accounts at the same time. One thing that I don’t like is that if you have multiple accounts, the categories that you use on one account are automatically included on other accounts. Deleting a category from one account and keeping it in the other has not been possible yet. I will continue to try, as a bunch of unused categories clutters up the account where they aren’t needed. I expect to like this better as I get more experience with it.

Great Budgeting Tool. I have been using this app to track my spending for the last seven months and it has helped me categorize my spending so I can better understand areas I need to save. It is a very sophisticated yet simple app to use. I have the paid version which means no advertisements and the budget can be family shared between phones for my fiancé. I don’t use that feature yet but could see it helping later down the road. I recently switched phones from a Samsung to an Apple and was able to transfer part of my more recent transactions through a shared Dropbox account on each phone. All my budgeting info is also viewable on my computer through Dropbox but I haven’t tried this yet. This is a great budgeting tool to really track the categories of your spending.

Great app!. As someone who grew up thinking that living paycheck to paycheck was normal, and that it was fine to spend all of my money every check with nothing carrying over. I didn’t know anything about finances. I have been using this app to track my spending for 3 years now. It is really what I needed and it has helped me to track where my money is going, when my bills are due, how much CARRY OVER I will have from my previous pay check. This app helped me realize that carry over is such a huge factor in successful finances. I thank God for this app. Budgeting is my best friend and I CONSTANTLY have this app open. I’m able to track the money I have across 3 bank accounts. I purchased the ad free thing because that was the only flaw to this app. It will take some time to set the settings to right where you want them. I would recommend being able to set specific settings for specific accounts rather than all of my accounts sharing the same exact settings. I wanted to try and budget using my credit card but it’s impossible. Hopefully there will be a version that caters to the credit card or an update that will allow the settings to be manipulated for a single account, as I previously mentioned, to allow me to use it for my credit card.

I Use this EVERY DAY. I’ve been using this app for well over a year EVERY single day. Every single transaction I make gets entered. My total automatically gets figured, I can have as many different categories as I want, manually label transactions, keep track of multiple different accounts, it calculates all your categories so you can see what you’re spending as a whole. Seriously. This app basically runs all my finances. It is literally perfect for the way I personalize like to organize my ledger. While you can select different ways for it to organize your transactions (like by date, or highest amount to lowest amount, by category, etc), the ONLY thing I wish we could do is manually move around individual transaction. I keep mine organized by date, and sometimes I enter a transaction later on in the day that I actually did earlier and it automatically lists it after the other transactions done that same day, which clearly makes sense, but I wish I could move just that one around throughout the different transactions that were done that same day. But that’s literally the least biggest deal. I’m just extra particular sometimes lol. I love this app. I honestly can’t remember if I had to pay for like a premium version or something, but if I did, it was worth every penny.

Easy to use and serves its purpose. I’ve been trying to find an app to help me track my income and outgoing expenses to keep myself accountable and help me save, for quite sometime. I’ve downloaded and even paid small costs for a lot of the others that I’ve found through the App Store, to give them a try. I’ve tried the super fancy apps too. Most of them were just too complicated to use or add spending quickly. I downloaded this one a few months ago and I’m very happy that I can easily use it and it helps me simply track my income and expenses. It’s easy and not over an overly worked app. It is easy to add an expense pretty quickly, however I do wish that they made a widget option so that I can have an option straight to my screen. I understand it’s likely done that way for privacy, you do have to put in your passcode or login with your face verification to use it, but a simple +/- widget option would be great!

So helpful, a few wishes. This app save a me so much time. Easy to use. Easy to set up recurring expenses. I have been using it for years now and don’t waste time on big software computer programs any longer. I just print important categories out for my CPA at the end of the year. Also, since it is in my phone I never miss putting something in quickly amd easily. This has been a game changer for me! A couple of wishes…1. When I am wanting to export a specific categories it brings up a wheel for selection. This is hard because I have so many categories. I would prefer to be able to do a search or be able to start typing the category name and have relevant ones pop up, or have them alphabetically listed. 2. It isn’t easy to modify a category name once it is established. 3. It would be great to be able to have a couple of different spending sets. Like one for my business account and one for a personal account. I haven't found a way to do these things in this app so far.

Best Budget App Out There. For a couple years I managed my own budget in the notes app on my phone. It was a pain having to enter everything in each week and all. Especially when numbers were off and I had to go back 5 weeks and adjust accordingly. Then I found this app and wow it’s perfect. Recurring events, ease of adding income/expense with notes, categories for income/expense, I love it. Also, being able to set multiple accounts as in a checking and savings accounts, and transfer money between them in the app is a great feature. And last but not least, I love the widget that you can add to your command center which makes it very quick to add income or expense and also see your available balance. I did spend $3 for the pro version so I could add recurring expenses which was well worth it and makes setting my weekly budget incredibly easy. Each week all I have to do is slide over to the widget, click income, type in the amount of my paycheck, and I’m all set. This is a great app, would definitely recommend.

EXCELLENT for Personal Finance Application. This app is the primary reason that I wanted to purchase an iPhone in the first place, and it has met or exceeded every expectation! It allows the hand-creation of categories of spending, keeps a transaction list for each month (which furthermore can be exported to MS Excel via a .csv file using the very low-cost upgrade), and reports running and final totals of expense for each category, in a list form or by pie chart with percentages. It also keeps track of income, but this is done without category-specific totals or pie charts. It took a minor amount of time to set up, and once this was done, it was very simple and rapid to use! EXACTLY what I was looking for!! And, I agree and appreciate the newer feature of allowing for negative values for expenses - this keeps reimbursements from being confused with income - a surprisingly helpful accounting practice. I expect that it could only really be improved by substantially increasing its size and complexity - which would probably be unrealistic for a low-cost and elegant app such as this.

Great app but a few suggestions.... This app is great overall, and I don’t have the premium so I’m not sure if that’s different, but for the normal free one, I like it a lot it’s very helpful but i would like it better if, when making a second account it had the option to make it a savings account, so it would say things like “you’ve gotten $50 so far!” And it would have an option to take money away from the account but it wouldn’t say “expenses” bc that technically wouldn’t be right. And if u could set a goal for a savings account, and once u reach ur goal it tells u that u reached it and “would u like to raise ur goal or close this account?” Ya know? But yeah that would be great so if u would do that I would totally give five stars. Thanks for a very helpful app tho! Edit: I realized it would also be awesome if there was a Debts section where u could write down who u owe money to and how much, and there’s a little button next to it so u can say “debt paid”

Flexible & Simple. I have been using this app for two years now. At first the biggest challenge is getting into the habit of using it daily for all of your spending. Over time I have started using more and more features, once I became familiar with the features I have already been using. Now, for the first time I will be syncing my phone app with my iPad. I quickly updated to the pro version because of its additional features and low cost. This app does everything I needed a spending tracker to do and then some. I did not want to link to a bank account and complicate things, and this app does just what I need. Keep track of all my income and spending. And it is flexible as well. I have added many new categories to further break down my spending habits. At the end of the year I am able to produce charts and graphs of all my spending, both home based business and personal. What a time saver when doing taxes instead of tallying up all of my receipts for the year. If you want a simple spending tracker, this is it. Just get in the habit of using it every day. Which by the way can even remind you to do that.

Exactly what I wanted. I downloaded about ten different apps in hopes of tracking my spending with my wife. This is the one that made sense and was easy to get started and make adjustments. Also, being able to sync with my wife's phone was essential (luckily she doesn't use her Dropbox, so I logged in on her phone, since it syncs via Dropbox). Sure, I paid for two pro versions to do it, but it was worth it to sync and support an app that does what we need. For whatever reason, Using Mint or Personal Capital never really worked out for me. I was looking to try an envelope style of budgeting, but would never actually use just cash like a savage. This allows you to set budgets per different categories. Actually entering my spending as I spend it seems to makes me more accountable. I love that I can select a category, but also enter a note so I know exactly what the purchase was. It's great being able to create different categories and choose the ones allowed to rollover. After two months, we are actually still on budget.

Financial game changer. Like many people, I wondered where all my hard-earned money was going and knew I needed to track all sources of income and expenses. I’ve been using this app for almost a year now and highly recommend it for anyone wanting to feel more in control of their money. Because it is so fast and easy to use, I can enter my transactions on the spot or at the end of the day. It’s shocking how many meaningless purchases I’ve made, and I don’t think I’m an impulsive spender. But the habit of entering all my income and expenses has really helped me reduce pointless purchases—just knowing that I’ll have to enter my purchase gives me pause: “Do I really need this?” and “Is there something I already have that can serve this function?” I now review where my money is going each week because it’s so easy. At any time, I can see if I’m in the red or black and make adjustments. This app has been a game changer for me.

Your wallet on a diet. This app is easy to use and makes me a little more aware of my spending, and how often I go shopping (just as I used to write down what I was eating each day.) I think it will be helpful in budgeting, not only for reducing impulse spending, but also for giving me the freedom to more routinely spend some of our income on dining out, entertainment, and other luxuries. Love the notes field and search option, so I can add as many details as I like, such as just where it was that I got a certain product that I want to buy again. I use the sorting to group together types of spending, to see at a glance how much I have already spent this month on groceries, etc. I also use it to track my husband’s travel and business expenses, as they show up on our credit card phone apps, to make sure that our personal bank accounts have been reimbursed.

Great App! Just needs one more thing.. This app is perfect for what I need. I love how simple and easy it is to use. However there is one thing that I wish would be different. I would like to be able to see all the transactions I’ve added into the separate categories. For example, if I listed three expenses under a category called “Family”, I’d like to be able to later go back and click on the category “Family” and see a list of those transactions. In my mind, you should be able to click on the category menu option, then click on a category, and see all the transactions listed under that category for each month. This would be very useful if you ever looked at the summaries page and thought “wow I spent a lot of money in the ‘online shopping’ category. I wonder what I spend it on?”. Then you could look at a list of everything in that category and be able to more easily recognize your spending habits and change them accordingly. Without this, you have to go and search through every transaction and find out what category you put it in. Very time consuming. Anyway, just a suggestion. I would love it if the developers could make this change! It would definitely earn them the fifth star :)

Great app to track spending and income. Let’s you categorize ur expenses (bills, rent, entertainment, etc) The free version is great haven’t upgraded because I have been more than satisfied with the free version. I have had many of these apps and this ones is the only one you need. Never freezes or lags. Great way to save money and visualize where you’re money is going you would be surprised how much money you really spend. Acknowledging and knowing how much you really spend is the first step to setting up a plan to save money. I feel like this review sounds like I was paid to say this but just wanted to write a good review because in a world full of people in debt more people should track their spending and using apps like this make it easy to start saving this one really is a good app especially for free. Try this app before trying any others that are similar. I’ve had them all from mint to moneywise and this one exceeds all of those and the simplicity of this app makes it easy to stay on top of all expenses and income

Great. I love this app - it is so convenient, especially when I use it through my Apple Watch. I can enter an amount spent through my watch as I am standing at the cash register. It is also reliable (unlike other budget apps I have tracked). I like this app because I can put in the amount I have to spend and can deduct my expenses from there - I am not required to set up a budget (I have tons of kids - I can’t predict my budget). I have a huge request, however. There are only four pay periods to choose from - daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. I am paid every other Friday. I would like this app to have a bi-weekly option. This also becomes a problem because the budget is reset when a new month starts even though I am still operating from money I received during the last pay period. When a pay period extends over the end of one month and into the beginning of the other months, it resets my budget. As it is, I use the monthly option which doesn’t really meet my needs.

One problem. This app is perfect with one MAIN exception. The only reason this app doesn’t get 5 stars is if you are budgeting your time period on a weekly basis you cannot select different views such as daily, monthly, annually. This means that if my time period for my budgeting is on a week by week basis in the app, the amount I have left over will accurately carry over into the next week. (When selecting weekly view of my budget) HOWEVR if I select to view my budget on a daily basis (with my time period set to weekly) it will not reflect or even show my carry over amounts, unless I change my time period. This is somewhat inconvenient because I need to plan my budget weekly and need to know how much will carry over until the next week, but if I decide I need to adjust my budget daily and want to use it to view what I would potentially have the next day, it will not accurately reflect. I tried temporarily changing the “time period” setting to daily, and then viewing my budget daily and it did accurately reflect, however when I went back to my “weekly time period” it screwed up the “automatic carryovers I had to manually input to balance my budget.

Gives me what I need, nothing that I don’t. I was looking for a simple yet effective app that would help me see exactly where my money is going so I can find what part of my spending is necessary, where it’s wasteful, and find ways to do better. I love being able to have as many categories as I want to really break it down. How much of my income each month is from my full time job and how much from a freelance side job? Instead of just “entertainment” how much is going to books vs. music vs. movies? There’s even a place to make notes for more detail. At this point, I’m not looking for financial advice from an app and I don’t want to link an app to my bank account. If you want those things, keep looking. I’m looking for a portable, efficient alternative to a notebook and a calculator and I’m fine with entering my amounts manually. In fact that’s helpful so I don’t forget to log cash transactions that an automated bank-linked app would miss. I want to track income and expenses graphically and in detail. This app does that perfectly. If that’s what you want too and you’re willing to enter everything manually, then I highly recommend this app.

Using this for years - best out there!. Like many people, my wife and I manage a busy household with children. We both work full time+ in the medical field and managing finances was a challenge. Several years ago I thought “there has got to be an app out there that allows us to share essentially a ledger or account register of some sort.” Of course there were several and we tried literally a dozen different apps. Many were complicated, forced you to create spending budgets or complicated things by adding unnecessary “fluff” or had issues with syncing or cost a monthly fee. We wanted a simple, accurate way to track how much we spent every month, on what, and could see how much we had left in our checking and savings. We wanted software my wife could enter a transaction in and it would show up on my version on my phone instantly from anywhere in the world and vice versa. This app does just that, we have been using it for several years, earlier versions had occasional sync problems but the developer was always very responsive and able to help us fix the issue. The last several versions of this app have been rock solid and do exactly what we need it to, nothing more, nothing less and helps my wife and I stay on top of our finances and spending habits. If you’re looking for a great app for sharing an account with someone that allows you to enter transactions on the fly - look no further this one is as close to perfection as you can get.

Right on Budget. Very simple yet is comprehensive in viewing your monthly budget. Many features that help rollover amounts to follow your budget each month. The most attractive feature is that you do not have to connect to bank accounts or other financial institutions which I feel is much more secure. Information in entered manually. So there is some work to do. But I had a 5 year financial plan in about 30 minutes. Now I can enter a change and see the effect within minutes. The other awesome feature is the ability to download (in various formats .pdf, .cdx) and share with my financial advisor by email we can adjust scenarios in the matter of minutes and see the gains or losses. Very helpful. Going on 4 years using this app. Review it frequently before making any financial decisions.

Wow!. I love this app! It's so versatile and you can make your input as detailed as you want it to be. I love that it can be backed up and thus automatically synced in real time on all my and my guy's devices, so we can both enter our spending at any time, from anywhere, and both have access to the info immediately. I love that I can export the data to a spreadsheet. I love that I can customize any or all of the categories and that it supports multiple accounts. I love the charts and graphs! I appreciate the colorful and interesting UI! (I need the interest and color to keep me from getting bored.) I downloaded the free version first, then when I checked it out and found pretty much everything I was looking for in this type of app, I purchased the upgrade. It was totally worth the $2.99 each for our individual phones (multiple devices on the same iTunes account duplicate for free).

Great app!. A terrific app that is easy to use. I enter data every day - after every ‘spend’ so it makes it simple to follow your expenses. Well worth the upgrade to premium to get the PDF etc features. Highly recommend!

A must have app for everyone.. Been using this app for a while now and it's easy to use and able to easily SYNC between multiple devices. My partner can put in their expenses and it instantly SYNCs to mine and vice versa. Helps keep track of expenses and adding personal notes against each expense makes reconciling with credit card statement much easier. Tracking expenses at the end of a period is fantastic with this app. And the app support is fantastic too. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants to see where their expenses are and money goes and to help curb unnecessary expenses.

Works well. I use this to track my spending every day, it does a good job of it. I wish flowed smoother though, when you want to put in a new entry you have to select each field manually. If this was automatic (or a “next” button was located on the keyboard) it would flow a lot better and speed up entering spending.

Easy to use. I like the App. Easy & simple to use. This is what I needed to track my simple shopping categories of expenses. Easy to track grocery, takeaways, & supermarket expenses. Would recommend for people with simple expenses eg. food, lunches, groceries, household items, etc... I will continue using the App. Easy to use

Better than Pen & Paper. I’ve only been using this tracker for a week but it’s a good simple way to purely record spending to determine where my expenditure mainly occurs and I am able to categorise each expense to assist identifying areas to save. I don’t think I will need the premium features.

The best. I downloaded all the money tacker here on app store and nothing i like until i found this app... It is so simple to use, don't need to pay money just to add categories or access other features like how I experienced with the other app.. no bugs and everything is working good.. I don’t really like writing reviews with the app i use but I'm very happy and satisfied with this app!!! I recommend this to everyone!!!!

Best app on the market. This is the most versatile app for tracking family spending we’ve found. You can also download to an excel spreadsheet for extra analysis. My only complaint is that you can’t track spending fortnightly - only weekly, monthly & yearly. Our salaries come in fortnightly so would be a fabulous addition if fortnightly tracking was an option.

Great easy record keeping app. Easy to use, tally’s all categories and is easy to see where money goes. Also the pie chart is an eye opener of the % of income spent on each category. Highly recommend. Would be great if they could create a budget section to allow easy viewing of where in the budget everything is tracking

Well thought out features. This is a great app for tracking your money. Having my accounts in front of me makes me more aware of how much I am spending, which in turn, makes me more incline to save. I have tried so many budget type apps that I actually gave up looking. Then I found this one and I haven’t looked back. Definitely recommended.

My constant go-to, every day.. Probably my favourite and most useful App. I couldn’t manage my daily life and limited finances without this app. A fabulous record and guide. Been using it for several years. A real asset. My financial advisor is impressed by its use.

The most amazing financial tool. I was desperate for an app that would enable me to easily create expense and income categories and quickly enter each an every expense or amount of income. It is not a technical accounting program but dos a great job of keeping track of where the money goes. I am an accountant and highly recommend this app.

Bernie. This app helps me every month. I diligently make a record of each debit and credit through the period and never end up paying the bank any interest. One item I would like to see added is a “where spent” field which is similar to the category field, where the user can make records to that field, ( but not limited to) SELECTABLE from previous records. This added feature would quicken my entries so much.

I recommend this product. Very easy to use - liked it enough to pay to upgrade to the full version! Recent upgrade has enhanced appearance without compromising functionality. Great to be able to download a range of reports in different formats. Having monthly and yearly options is good but would also really like to be able to review spending totals by individual categories - hence 4 star rather than 5.

Spending tracker works well. I have tried a few spending apps in recent years and this one has been the best. You can customise your income and spending categories quite flexibly and record daily expenditures with just a few simple steps. These can be edited easily to make corrections to date, category or amount. Notes can be added to each entry to remind you of the particulars of every expenditure or income event. My only gripe arose when I deleted a recurrent income amount and replaced it with a lower amount. The app retrospectively altered all the previous income entries and seems to have deleted them. In hindsight I should have created a new income stream entry rather than change the existing one. Reporting on monthly income and expenditure is clear and logical and can be tailored to your preference, either date order or category.

Great App. Awesome app, been using the free version for the last couple months and will probably upgrade to the paid version soon. Only thing I would say is that it would be great to have different options for the period instead of just weekly, monthly and yearly. I personally would be more than happy to pay an extra one off fee just to be able to track my spending over a four week period rather than monthly.

Fantastic app indeed. I just wish it had fortnight budget mode. We get paid fortnightly here in Australia. Often we manage our money on a fortnight basis (repayment etc.). Thanks again to the developers for creating such a simple yet powerful app. Pls don’t tweak too much.

No syncing. I had high hopes when I read the first review about being able to sync the data with other devices so multiple people can track spending. The thing the app doesn’t tell you is that you need the pro version to sync with Dropbox to be able to sync with someone else. And for that person to sync with you, they need to upgrade to pro as well, which just happens to be an in app purchase which doesn’t qualify for family sharing. The app lists it’s compatible with Family sharing, which is misleading. Very disappointed.

Like it!. I use it for keeping track of my bills for the year, hopefully it won't automatically make the start and finish Dec to Jan as my start date is in March, will just have to wait and see, up till now, Love it.

Best one out there. Easy to use and navigate, can make my own category and separate them. For example have an account for vehicles and another account for house hold. I can view them totally seperate with their own income and expense info or I can view both accounts at once. Recurring also you can customise up until 30months. Love it and just used it after going through 6 apps trying to set up the way I need it to be and this app, hands down the winner.

Simple and straight forward. After downloading and trying out about 10 spend tracker apps, which were too complicated for everyday use, I finally found this one. The only irritating thing were the constant loud ads that kept on popping up and wouldn't go away until I paid $4.50 to upgrade the app.

Use it every day!!!. I love this ap. I use it to track all my expenses. It’s so easy especially when you use the repeat option. I use that for almost everything (groceries, petrol, rates, water rates etc etc) so I have a better idea of what I have left in my month. No matter if u don’t spend the amount u entered in, u can just edit it. Choose the date u want to start your month so it syncs with your pays. I wouldn’t be without this ap. It’s the best one I’ve tried.

Good App. I really like this app. I loaded a few before this one, loaded all my information, but found them quite complicated. This one was easy to add data, and I like how I can see each week, what my week financially will look like. There are a few things this app needs though.. one is we should be able to mark an ‘expense’ or ‘bill’ as PAID once it is paid; and then it moves to a PAID section. If it had the PAID feature, I’d rate it 5 stars. Otherwise, it’s nice and easy to use and I have not had any technical issues yet.

Very helpful app. I’ve been using this app for over a year now to track out family budget. I haven’t spent any additional money on the app and have managed with the basics. It’s an amazingly easy process to plug in our spending and see what we’ve spend money on. Well worth it!

Love this. Love this it makes life so much easier I would however like it to sync to my partner so he can add his spending instead of coming home that night and telling me also would like my data to show up on the iPad is there a way of syncing across devices

Handy App. Great to keep track of my purchases. Very easy to use. I personally transfer the totals for each category onto an excel spreadsheet at the end of each month which I have included my regular monthly payments. It lets me know where my money is going.

Spending tracker. Very happy with the product. Have been using it for 3 years now. Would like the option to have financial year as well as a calendar year. Report and search capabilities are minimal. Would be nice to be able to search across all data, ie. Multiple years. Would be nice if I could enter data on both my iphone and ipad and have them sync.

Great free app for managing finances. This app is so easy to use. It has features that allow you to add expenses and income for each month. You can assign sub categories to them (such as a shopping expense, eating out expense, holiday expense etc.), and see these in pie chart form if you turn your phone horizontally. That way you can physically see what category you spend the most on each month. I love that you can add a note too against each item you add too, I use it to say where I made each particular expense. For a free version the ads are pretty unobtrusive. Highly recommend for anyone looking to manage their budget.

Easy tracker. I have recommended this to several of my friends it’s easy to use has lots of categories you just need to use it for everything to keep track of your spending

Changed my life. After my financial circumstances changed I found myself broke & desperate. A friend put me on to this app & it literally changed everything. I started to see just how much money I was wasting. I bought the premium version 2 1/2 years ago now & it was the best money I ever spent. I now have a huge chunk of money saved & I’ve learnt to budget. Highly recommend this app & tell everyone I know who’s struggling with money to use it.

Useful and intuitive, highly recommend. Very user friendly, and even fun to fill out! Such a useful app that is helping me to get a better sense of my financial situation and spending habits. You can set up re-occurring transactions, or enter things manually. I find the manual application of transactions helps me to become very aware of my money situation, in a way that having it all automated for me wouldn’t.

Loves it. We use spendtracker to monitor our expenditure. Great to know where your money is going month after month and year after year. Easy to use snd easy to see totals and percentages of expenditure. Solves that age old question: where does all our money go? Now we know and talk about it every 3 months.

Straight to the point with one-off payment. Simple interface that is easy to manage, and customise categories. Quick no-fuss tracking of spending. One-off small payment rather than a subscription. I’ve tried many apps that claim to be more comprehensive (subscription based), however I keep coming back to this app.

Simple, quick, and easy to use. Great app - even the free version is perfectly good for everyday use. There are some advanced functions only available to Pro version, and the ads in the free version can be a little a annoying, but overall a very handy tool to help me keep track of how much I have in my wallet, and to admit accountability when there is a disparity! I would like to see 2 changes... 1) if multiple accounts are in use, then show ‘Transfer’ as an option on the New Transaction screen, rather than having to go to Settings/Accounts, and 2) where a ‘Transfer’ is shown in Transactions Summary screen, opening up the detail should show both sides of the transfer - i.e. where it came from, and where it went to.

Been using for over a year and love it. This app has been a fantastic way for me to get a better idea of my spending habits and realise how easily those little costs here and there can add up! The free version was great, but for the small amount you pay to buy the app to remove the annoying adds and unlock the ‘repeating transaction’ feature it’s worth it as it will save you a lot of time manually entering them individually. The option to track more than one account is also great. It lost one star though because as a few other reviews have suggested, it would be great to have a ‘Fortnight’ tracking option, since ‘week’ and ‘month’ don’t give you a completely accurate idea of your balance if your salary or rent payments are fortnightly.

Best money manager app I’ve ever come across. Love the editing features. I can name my items and the app automatically adds/subtracts saving me so much confusion. Now I know how much and where my money goes and how much I have to spend or save. My rent and food take up the majority of my income not bills. Interesting to know that.

*** AWESOME ***. Love this APP, it’s simple and easy. If you’re looking for simplicity to track your daily, weekly, monthly or yearly income and expenses .... then this is for YOU!!! No issues since I’ve used this app and have kept my records for up to three years so far and counting! Would highly recommend it!!

One cracking money tracking app!. I have spent a lot of time researching and using money tracking apps that have not worked, but this app delivers everything you could possibly need. It is easy to use and easy to see what’s going on at a glance. I can’t recommend this app highly enough

Really useful. I really like this app. I’ve used several money apps over 10 years. I’be used Spending for 9 months. I really like how I can create subset categories. So I can see the balances across unique categories such as my business, subsets within my business, personal spending, rental property, etc. I can add repeating transactions so I only need to manually add those that vary such as groceries, chemist, petrol, etc. It doesn’t sync with bank accounts which previous apps had. When those apps developed glichs that made them unusable I decided to change to an app that didn’t sync with banks as a better safety aspect and also to keep me more aware of my money, by having to manually enter figures. Using the repeated transaction function, it leaves me adding about 14 manual amounts per week. I can see at a glance where I’m at with each category . I would like to see better layout of the downloadable spreadsheet. I’d like to be able to seperate items within categories. That’s my only problem. I need to copy and paste to get my spreadsheet in order.

Fantastic So Far. Have only been using this App for a couple of weeks but so far I’m pretty happy with it. I like that I can manually put my Salary in as it can change from fortnight to fortnight. I like that I can carry forward any balance that still remains in my account. I like that it can total my spending on different categories so that I can instantly see how much I’ve spent on groceries or eating out, for example. The only thing so far that I would like to see changed is the option to select “Fortnightly” within the Time Period options, as I am paid fortnightly. Overall, great App.

Simple & Effective. Big lover of this app! I was looking for something clean, easy and simply laid out to do a quick budget in so that I could keep track of where I was spending ‘unnecessary’ money, and what expenses were my non-negotiables. Highly Recommended. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 FocusOnSimple 🌿

Excellent. I have just downloaded a few budget tracker apps and wasn’t happy with them. But I like this one. It’s simple. I can create my own personal categories. I then simple add what I have spent with a detailed note or not. And voila I can see how much I have spent. If you click the ? It goes to the Help page. You can add income and different accounts if you want. And it does graphs if you like that. But I just want to track what I spend and where I spend it. I have a shocking memory. Nothing worse than getting home and having no idea where my money went. 👠

Best spend tracker. After trying many spend trackers and nearly giving up to make one with excel, I found this app and it is ideal and easy to use. The save to pdf function is really useful as I can share the details with family. Great app!

Great Money Money tracket. Love this app that helps you track your spending. I have told several of my friends about it. It teaches you how to spend your money better by showing you where you need to cut back such as takeawats, coffees, shopping etc...

Budget Balancer. This has been found as an excellent App to track Income and Expenditure activity across several separate accounts. Individual balances can be maintained for each account and all balances can be consolidated to provide total Financial position. The features throughout the App are exceptionally good and so far been found to embrace all my needs and expectations. In my book this App gets top marks or, if you like an a A+++

Brilliant. I rarely rate anything and moved to this app because my previous app is no longer supported. This app is absolutely brilliant and easy to use. It’s easy on the eye and not cluttered and cumbersome like many others. I found the hints great and the category symbols are well laid out.

Easy to use. Great app for tracking what I’m spending my money on. Very easy to use. Regular payments can be added so they show up each month. Only takes a few seconds to add each payment.

Easy to use and export, attractive layout. Tried 4 different spending tracker apps and this one is the only one that gives me full manual input AND an easy way to export the spreadsheet. Other apps wanted to use my location or banking details or an email address that was also configured in my Mail app on iOS, which I didn’t like for privacy reasons. The interface is attractive and it’s really handy to have different accounts for personal and joint spendings and income. Suits me perfectly.

Solid little app. I just needed a simplified app to look at my spending habits. And this is what I’ve chosen after downloading and testing heaps of others. Easy to add or setup recurring payments. The one off payment option for the extras was worth it. Didn’t want to get involved in a monthly plan.

Our best budget tool. We have been using this since 2017 and it is fantastic. We have records of how much we spend on everything and it is so useful for weekly budget as well as future planning. We have been able to adapt it for our needs. Highly recommend

Good stuff!. Fab for what it’s says it does: track your spending. Easy user interface. Intuitive add expenditures, customisable categories. Would love to see the addition of being able to show spending by category or better yet, colour assignment.

Love This App!. This has been a game changer for me. I love it!

Smart way to stay on budget. Been using this app for 5+ years now, it’s really helpful with keeping up with budgets and personal finance. Got my niece using it too, she also finds it helpful and loves this app.

Great app. User friendly

Very good app. The best in its category.

Eye opening. I use Spending every day to track our expenses and it has definitely been an eye opening experience!

Now I know where it all goes!. This has been invaluable for identifying exactly how much we spend on what and determining if we can retire yet. Had no clue what the money leak was due to before!

Great App. The ability to share between two users is very handy

very very good. easy to use. can seem to find if it sync from ipad to iphone?

Excellent. I’ve been using this app for 3 years, it helps me keep track of all my spending. It shows me when I need to be smarter with my money and spend less!

Enhance Your Expense Tracking - absolutely recommended. Dear Spending Pro Team, I've been a dedicated user of your app for almost four to five years now, and I must say it has been an invaluable tool in helping me track my small expenses and incomes. The simplicity and intuitiveness of the app, coupled with the ability to view trending graphs and categorize transactions, make it stand out. The Dropbox backup feature adds an extra layer of convenience. However, I believe there's a significant enhancement that could elevate the user experience even further. It would be immensely beneficial if the app could incorporate the capability to upload bill pictures directly through the interface, as an optional feature. This addition would not only enhance the app's functionality but also provide users with a seamless way to keep visual records of their expenses. As a long-term user who values the app's current features, the ability to upload bill pictures would be the missing piece to make it truly comprehensive. I sincerely hope you consider this suggestion for a future release, as it would undoubtedly make the Spending Pro app an even more indispensable tool for users like me. Thank you for your time and consideration. Best regards, [Your Name]

Works well for tracking!. I really like the app, it definitely helps me to see exactly where the money is going! Wish you could print a list of transactions.

Effective. Great app. Thank you. 👍

Loved this app. Nice app easy to work with.

Such an amazing tool!. So well done, classified and helpful! I couldn't do my budget without it anymore. I adore it!! It’s a must for everyone who wants to keep track of their spending and stop wondering where they spent so much, just as I 😄

Love this app. It’s so useful. Keeps me accountable. Easy to use

Perfect. This app has everything you need to track spending. I love that you can change the start date for the month so I can have it coincide with credit card cut offs. Wonderful app!

Adam. One of the best app in personal finance management

Good. Simple expense tracker

Great app for tracking spending!. I’ve used this app for a couple of years. Very simple habit to get into, recording what one spends. Provides monthly and yearly feedback —- interesting, surprising, sometimes shocking. Does exactly what I wanted it for. Brilliant!

Love it!. I needed an easy way to track my expenses. This is perfect. Customer service is also excellent.

Great app have been using it for years. Love it.. Great app. Easy to use ,keeps track of everything better then any I have tried. Highly recommended. Best app ever.

Very useful app. Simple and very efficient

Flexibility. Love this app for tracking daily spending. It’s so open ended. Make your own categories which automatically get tracked. And it works offline when needed. The only drawback is that I ( as far as I know ) it can’t be shared with others in your budget.

Spending Tracker. It is my favourite app. Adds a couple of options if you just watch a short ad. I just wanted to know where my money goes. This does it. Simple and convenient. Tracks my spending without a bunch of fuss and needing to budget etc. Very useful easy to use app. Well done. A couple of other things would be nice - change text colour of paid items (the income / visa payment is a plus and a different colour) as I am using it to track my visa only but I have figured a way to note which I have paid. Thanks for a great app.

Grrr!!!. I want to be able to go to each of my accounts and see what is going on and coming out of them, with a running balance (like a Register or Statement)... but this won’t do it! It will only show my chequing account.

Spending. Awesome helpful app

Great app. This app has become part of my daily tracking and routine

Best Budgeting App!. I have integrated this app into my monthly budget record keeping and it has been amazing. With the system I use in combination with this app, I get a close estimate of my final monthly balance almost two months in advance! I highly recommend it to track your spending.

Simply "the BEST". Its my favorite application ever on the apple market , easy , simple , accurate , presice and lovely . Its simply "the best" , i use it every day and every night !!!!

Happy with the app. Very useful tool for me to stay on top of my outgoings.

Simple app in a box👍. Very nice app - simple and easy to use. Gives you a quick bird's eye view of your monthly expenses and budget over/under status. Allow you to see expenses on pie chart and percentages. Easy to add expense accounts as needed. In use for many years👍

Perfect Except 1 Thing. Message to the developer: “Its perfect except for the fact you cant change the chalkboard background”. Please release an update for custom background, black chalkboard gets boring.

Expense App. Very easy to use and tract expenses , clean and simple to use and add categories

Great easy to use. I use this app to keep track of my monthly expenses. Simple easy to use for Budgeting. Easy to set up categories. Easy to export into Dropbox if needed. Would recommend.

Simple app. Easy to use, manual entry which reminds u of ur purchases

Review. Great program for keeping track of expenses and income. Fast, easy, history is helpful. Hank

Excellent. I love it!!’

Great expense App. Great App. Easy to use. Does exactly what I want.

Great App. This is a great way to track your daily spend. I have been doing it for years and love it. Easy to use once you have your personal categories set. Can even go back in time if you need to remember when you made a purchase. All at the tip of your fingers on your mobile device.

Great app. Great way to stay within my budget

Simple and straightforward. Easy to use and you don’t need to provide all your banking info

Spending App - Great for Budgeting. Great app to keep your budget on track. Easily sync to other Apple devices. Just waiting for the Mac ap 🤗 and it’s now arrived - yeah!

Great, except the advertisements aren’t aimed at me.. Some ad’s are in other languages.

Very Pleased. It actually helps me immensely to control my wanton spending urges. I now think twice before parting with my funds

It's greatly easy. Very fav finance tracking app because it's so easy to use. Best out there

It’s changed my life. I’ve been using it since July 2016 and it’s changed my life. As a recent college grad with crazy stupid student loans and a job market that makes it hard to get a job paying more than $40k I had to know where every dollar is going and this helps me do that. Even if I don’t change my spending habits, it at least helps me stay aware which is more than 90% of the US population can say. Did you know that more than 90% of Americans don’t have budgets? Insane! This simple app has put me leaps and bounds ahead of my friends when it comes to financial literacy. The only thing I wish it did do was allow to show my budget next to the amount I’ve spent per category. I’m sure it’s on the way! Thank you! -BAS

I love it!. Simple and easy to use and keep track of your spending. Not just that but you can also make up your own categories and name em which you can’t always do on other apps I’ve used before. So far no complaints! And I love that it reminds you to log in your spending! It’s definitely a useful to especially for someone like me who takes his receipts and just jams em in their pockets 😂. I’m not the best at managing money but I’m definitely getting better and I do feel this app is one of the main reasons for me getting better at it. And I love how I can have both checking and savings and not mix em all up together. 5 stars all day for me hands down! Shiiieeeettt, even got the premium version and I don’t spend on apps like that so that should tell you something lol.

I enjoy this app, been using for 3 years now. This app is awesome, I can keep track of every penny I spend in food, restaurants, donations, fuel for my car and be able to look at it either per year, per month or weekly. Is perfect for budgeting and if you change cellular you can take the information with you to load onto the next phone (you can only transfer if you get the paid version) but is well worth it. I enjoy that while traveling I can group all expenses related to that trip into one, so I know exactly how much I truly spent in a particular vacation and be able to budget for future ones with less surprises.

Great!. I downloaded this app to help keep track of daily expenses as we are trying to develop a more efficient budget. I have been using it for a little over week and it has been amazingly helpful. As soon as I have my receipt from a purchase I type in my expenses and it automatically deducts it from the total. It has been great for keeping track of my husbands expenses as well as he forgets what he has spent money on. With this app we will definitely be able to save a lot more money, and start spending money more wisely. Thank you for making such a helpful app. And the adds that do pop up are related to finances and not some obnoxious game I will never play. So Thank you again!

Simple, effective, and easy to use. I LOVE this app. About a year ago I decided to start tracking my finances to become more conscious about what I do with my money and this app has made it an amazing and simple journey. I love the simple layout that doesn’t throw a bunch of unnecessary bells and whistles into the app. I just wanted something simple that lets me track income and expenses and this app exceeded my expectations. It also has many features you can use to view your data differently and I don’t usually pay for premium, but I really wanted to support the dev who made this. Plus it’s a one time fee not subscription based. Being able to sync to the cloud is so convenient too.

Great if you like simple but it lets you do what you want. Great app, used it for a few years now, paid for the app not because the tiny banner adverts were annoying, but because I wanted to support the developers because it is so good for people like me. Simple but you can do anything you want to it. It doesn’t stop you from deleting anything like a lot of apps. Doesn’t force you to do anything you don’t want to. I haven’t had any crashes that were the fault of the app in over 4 years of using it. I’d recommend it, just try it for a week or two and see how you like it. I know some people don’t because they are lazy and want an automatic system.

Perfection in simplicity. I absolutely love this app. I needed something to track my weekly spending allotment without having to link any bank accounts. This does exactly what I need it to do! My budget rolls over weekly and then I manually add each purchase as it is made, on either my watch or my phone. The watch feature is the real game-changer because I can both use ApplePay and add the expense without ever taking out my phone. I love that there’s a rollover feature - I tend to go over budget and this app keeps me accountable. Overall it’s the exact simple solution that I needed and has become an integral part of my financial life!

The BEST budget app. This app has made my budgeting 1000% better! Before, I have never been able to stay on track with my budget. I use this app to set up different “accounts” for my spending categories (groceries, shopping, fuel, etc). I love how simple it is too! I’ve went thru so many different apps and none of those systems have stuck for me like this one has! 🙌🏻 I also never write reviews, but this one I recommend to all! The upgrade feature is SUPER cheap too! Update: would love if I could share this app with my husband so we can both track out spending within the same accounts!

Best finance app EVER!. I’ve been using this app for about 5 years and I honestly do NOT know what I’d do without it! I am able to keep track of all my accounts and even created an account to track cash so it doesn’t just “disappear,” and I don’t realize where it’s all gone. I don’t have to balance my checkbook because my checkbook is balanced daily simply by entering income and expenditures. It allows me to track every cent and helps me to see where I need to cut back as well as identify items I need to save for. It’s very versatile and can easily be personalized by creating your own categories for spending while providing an awesome framework to build upon. I have recommended this app to friends and my adult children. Everyone LOVES it, especially me!!!

Retirees, use this one!. I have used this app for all of 2023 in tracking all of my cash spending—that’s all. Credit and debit cards record spending, but cash is so much more elusive. This allows me to name categories and select an icon for each. If I enter my spending a day or two late, I just tap the calendar to change the date. I always use the note section to write the shop & purchase info. Turned sideways you get a pie graph for that month’s spending. You can record income, also, and see where you can could save money. As a retiree I like having a simple entry system that is neater than the small notebooks I once used!

Great Household Spending Tracker. My title about says it all as I have been using the app for a couple years now and find it extremely helpful in watching what you spend. I was interested in tracking everything to do with our family’s spending at first but then started tracking just our electricity bill plus groceries and eating out. It has been great for those purposes and it permits easy monthly comparisons and gives us a heads-up when we are going overboard with excessive dining be it at restaoor carry-outs. Organized for comparison, reasonably intuitive and allow quick entry; in other words this app works!

Needs sync support with significant other. Would give this app 5 stars if there was a way to sync all the spending / income activity across two separate users (i.e. my wife) so that we could both know exactly how much money we’ve both spent. It’s easy enough to enter transactions to track your own income vs. expenditures each month, which is great, but without being able to sync with spouse’s phone, my figures will be off. For example, if I enter all of the times I bought food for the month, but my spouse bought lunch at work every day on her credit card, none of that will be recorded in my budget. I’ll only know how much money I have left based on my own expenditures or if I manually retrieve the info from my wife.

Great app!. This app does everything I need. Very thorough look at my expenditures. And VERY easy to use! Highly recommend it. Update one year later: Still loving this app! It does EVERYTHING I need. It's easy to use and excellent reports are incredibly easy to generate. Update two years later. I hope I never have to be without this app! An update November 2019. Still using and loving this app! Very easy way to use. The reports are outstanding! If you want to know where you spend your money, get this app!!!! Update November 1, 2020: still love this app! Use it several times a week. Update July 22, 2021. Still love this app. Highly recommend. Update January 29, 2024; I love this app as much as the day I started using it. Perfect app to track my finances!

Easy and effective. This app is great; it’s easy to use and I’ve found it very effective for helping keep track of my spending and being more intentional with my money. I like that I get to set the categories and enter my expenses myself. I also like that each month is kept separate and doesn’t automatically roll over. The only improvements I could suggest would be to allow for categories to be removed from the list (while keeping them in past months where they were used) and to include a check box or something to allow for checking cleared transactions off.

Best manual spending app. I love this tracking app, it allows me to follow my spendings without giving my bank accounts data to anyone, You just have to remember to add every time you spend on something. I just would like to have an option to have different currencies accounts at the same time, but you just can choose one, I’m tracking two different currencies from my abroad bank accounts and I have to use “USD” for every account, it would be great if I can convert from Euros to USD for example to see my total saving. There are some calculators apps using the google rate to convert currencies, maybe this app could use something like that, sorry for any English mistake, this is not my first language.

Love it!. I’ve been looking for a app like this for years. I don’t want a forced budgeting app I just want to track my expenses and income. I like that I can do two accounts to track my husband’s separately because that’s how we roll. I did see another persons review asking for the ability to click on a category and see the whole list of items under a category. That would be nice. And a place where all the totals can be transformed to a PDF and printed at the end of the year. But basically, I love the app! Kudos! Ps since my original writing of this I learned that there is a way to export everything to a PDF and printed. Nice!

This is the one. Tried several. All failed to provide what I wanted, a monthly expense/income tracker that didn't ask for your bank and credit card information. This syncs so my wife and I are always on the same page, we can track multiple accounts, and data can be exported. Update- We’ve had several issues with one device suddenly not updating and this has forced us to reset all the data and basically have to start over. Our solution was to simply text all spending to the one device and record from there. The other function we’d like to see is a ‘Returns’ category that credits spending without including the value into income. Otherwise you’re left having to figure out which specific expense to credit and if you’re family is like ours the returns don’t always happen immediately so finding that expense is a pain.

Love it!. I’ve been using spending tracker for over three years now. It is simple to set up, quick and easy to use on a daily basis. If you want to really visualize where your money is going to, this is THE app to use. After just the first month, I was able to see where I could start making adjustments to how I was spending. I went from saving a little each month to saving a LOT! After the first year using this app on a daily basis, now It only takes me about 5 min, one day a week. I think of the money I save each month compared to the time spent as the best paying job I’ve ever had! Get it.... you will love it!

Just what I was looking for!!!. I absolutely love this app! It’s just what I was looking for to track our expenses. We are looking at retiring and need to know what we are truly spending. We need to know how much $ we need a year and this app will give us that data. It’s super easy to set up and worth the $2.99 upgrade for additional features like repeating expenses. You can add/change as many categories as you like then choose from pretty good list of icons. They could use a few more: icons for lawn mowing, car washing and snow plowing. I don’t use the income feature as am just interested in tracking what is going out. It is exactly what I was looking for, something easy to track spending, and this app is just perfect!

Absolutely Worth It. Been using this app for years. One of the only apps I’ve ever paid for the full version of, because it is invaluable to me. I use it after every transaction and people often ask what it is, so I recommend it to everyone because it makes keeping track of your spending and planning budget based off previous months SO easy. With customizable categories, ability to separate my personal and business income/spending, dropbox backups, and now the ability to add or subtract from an existing transaction... it’s so good. No useless updates, everything is helpful and makes sense. Probably my favorite app. Does that make me a nerd? :)

Can’t live without this app!. I use this app everyday to record and track my expenses. I appreciate the easy to use, user-friendly design and functionality. The support team responsiveness is professional and timely. Since I’ve started using this app a few years ago, I’ve noticed helpful features being added, which tells me that their team is dedicated to continuous improvement of this app. I only have a few wishes for future development - a web-based version (I would line to have the ability to switch between mobile and desktop) and ability to add profile specific categories (for personal and business). Overall - after researching multiple apps, this one was the best find. It’s to the point, simple and intuitive. Very happy with it.

Best Spending App. I’ve used this app since 2013 and love it. It allows me to keep track of spending in a very custom way without overcomplicating the process. I lost all my transaction data once, but was able to recover it by restoring my iPhone to a backed up version (meaning I had to wipe my device and recover from cloud). I recommend anyone using the spending app to increase the number backups from 5 (the default) to 15 or so. Five would have been fine for me, but I learned the hard way that sync attempts across devices could result in my backups being replaced by bad versions. If you have 15+, it’s unlikely you’ll lose your spending app data like I did.

Great app to help you save money. I started using this app in February and since I have been tracking every dine, I have saved an average of $300 a month! And the best part is it’s effortless! This app helps you categorize your spending into personal and preset categories such as “groceries” and “Blue Apron.” The app also shows you your spending over time as well as the percentage you spend on various items. You just input your salary and your regular expenses, and every month, the app tracks your costs. You can set the app to track your regular expenses by setting it to be deducted on your schedule, for example, weekly or monthly. I am so happy that I have this app. I only wish I had started using it years ago!

Best personal finance keeper. I have been using this for years because keeping track of bills was one thing, but when you want to start tracking income, tips, budgeting and more you need to to update and adjust at a moments notice, you need a system. This has been the best system I have had for the last couple of years. Everything has its on tab, everything can be viewed individually, moderated, or gran scope. You can create pages, and also budget yourself. I never paid attention to eating out until you select the account and see the monthly cost, worse when you merge all the accounts and the charges multiply. Honestly had not had to seek another app other than this.

Best, cheapest, Budgeting App w/0 links to your bank. I love this app. So simple, no linking your banking info. You just add income and recurring expenses and see what you have left over. I’ve been able to see the big financial picture and save $ every single month. I know *exactly* what’s happening, coming out/in by date income/expenses at all times. I constantly update the app so everything is current. Highly recommend!!! (If you want bank detached, simple budgeting this is the app for you, otherwise I think chime is one that links everything - it doesn’t have a payment card, but that’s what I like about it!)

$$$ have or not, easy with this app. This handy app to helps keep track of exactly what I m spending my money on. 16 Mars 2020: Watching the world s officials and publics panicky responses concerning the Corvid-19 pandemic, this app allows me to dig out an old sign I used to have hanging on my door ~ reading: “Insane Asylum Through This Door!” Don t get me wrong, pandemics need to be treated decisively, however, far too many are worrying about what others may think of their public images, instead of doing what s right. I ll be sitting in my flat reading and watching the masses act like lemmings while accomplishing nothing, at the same time claiming that they are doing it all. Come on civilization, use your head(s) for something other then a hat holder. This app will allow me to be my natural reclusive self, until the world regains it s sanity again. In any event, it s nice to know what I have in my account (at a glance rather guessing) while I m filling up my Kobo, and iPad up while waiting for the end of the insanity. 12 Janus 2021: Still in control, but the sign was wrong. I should ve used the: If stupidity was an official handicap, you d get a better parking spot!

Easy To Use. I find Spending Tracker’s simple and straightforward format easy to use. The contrasting colors are easy to navigate and understand. It’s quick and to the point when entering my spending and the pie graph it develops from the data is very useful — eye opening even. Over the last 5 years I’ve tried multi spending and budgeting apps, yet I always measure them to Spending Tracker and I continue to find Spending Tracker my favorite. I have upgraded to Pro. I definitely recommend this app for any one who wants to have a quick way to see where their money is going and get spending under control.

Love this. I've been using it now for the past few months and it's very flexible. What I love most is the single purchase upgrade, data privacy, the simplicity and the customization options. You can make it super simple or fine tune it for most of your needs. I would like to see some updates for the user interface as sometimes it feels a little awkward to navigate to things fluidly. As an example it would be nice to quickly navigate to any day from within the screens. Another addition would be the ability to click on a category when in any overview page and open up a more detailed view of just that category.

I use it to keep track of gambling sessions. I like to gamble and I’ve been looking for an app that can help me track my profits (and losses) any time I do it so that I can follow where I’m at through the year. I’ve tried tons of different ones and none of them have done what I was looking for. This one seems like it’s exactly what I need. I can use income to enter profits and expenses to enter loses. I’ve only had it for a day so I will see how much I like it after I get to use it more often. I don’t necessarily gamble often I just want to be able to easily track where I’m at overall. I believe this will do the trick!

Great App, Great Features!. I recently got this app after having used another great finance tracking app. I had a very high bar of standards, and I have to say that Spending has won me over! It has searchable transactions, an easy interface, and- the biggest win for me- sync capability via Dropbox so my wife and I can see our transactions immediately. My biggest gripe is in the list of transactions. The sorting option of newest to oldest DOES sort it by date, but doesn't change the order of the transactions on that date (i.e. Putting in Entry 1 and then Entry 2 in the same day, sorting by newest to oldest keeps Entry 1 above Entry 2, when I think Entry 2 should be on top in this case). Other than that, I'm really glad I made the switch!

It’s a nice idea. My tax preparer turned me on to this app. As a realtor I’m labeled self-employed. So he wanted to track how I spend my money. And how I earn it on various services. 95% of the time it allowed me to manually log my income and expenses. And my personal income and expenses. Maybe here and there but not lately. It’s a glitch and I had to go back in and add an expense or income. Sometimes I forget if I added it. I wish there was an income and expense note of your last entry time in date. It may be I’m thinking too far beyond the simplicity of this app. But it would be nice if you could snap a photo of a receipt and it auto populate. Also link credit cards etc. butSimplicity sake it is a really good app especially if the point is just manually acknowledging your income and expenses creating a habit of logging.

Best App I ever used!. Gave this App a try to help me get my finances in check, did the free version. It’s easy with the adds not too many only come up when you open the app, which is nice. It really helped me keep my spending in order, I Use it to keep track of bills I’m paying. I’m able to see where I’m leaking funds, what I spend versus what I have to spend each month and where saving is needed. I been using it for years now and do my budgeting every month with it, easy to use and very helpful with getting my personal finances on track again. A special thanks to the developers, I hope you keep it going.

My favorite Budgeting app ever! Great for joint accts.. I’ve used almost every budgeting app there is. I download several at a time, use them all at once and figure out which one I like the most. Well I don’t just like this app the most, I absolutely love it. This is the first time I found an app that budgets my money the same way I do, but in an app form. It’s so convenient. You can repeat bills or income so you don’t have to input it every single time. You don’t have to sync anything to your actual account. You have to enter spending and income manually, but that’s what I love about it the most. I even have it synced to my husbands phone so that we both know what’s in our accounts since we have a joint account.

Great App to Budget By. This is one of the better apps I’ve found to meet my budget needs. What I love is that I can have several budgets going at once and can transfer amounts between all of them. I can also create a budget for vacation, rental properties, savings, etc. the best thing about this app is that I can enter what I think all my expenses will be and see what I have left over at the end of the month. Then, as my actual bills come in I can change my estimates and have a more realistic idea of what I have left. It takes little practice to learn the options but it’s easy to use once you get familiar with it. Love the color coding and charts to see where I’m spending my money.

Perfect!!. This App is just what I was looking for!!. I was writing down what I spend with pen and paper. I wanted an app but I didn’t need all those fancy apps that connect to your bank account etc. I just needed something to track what I spend. SIMPLE. This does that perfectly, and you can separate each expense into categories (as many as you’d like!! No limitations). It also shows a pie graph so you can see what you spend the most on. I also like that you can change the font, I hated the cheap “Chalk” looking font so I was happy when I found I could change that. Very satisfied. If you want to track what you spend and see where it all goes, this is the app for you! Oh and I love the little Wallet icon haha 💕

Love it!. I have been using this app for almost 3 years now. I used other apps previously and almost all the other apps have more features and look cooler than this one. Thats why i migrated from this app to another one with lots of features in the beginning, but then it turned out, i dont really need any of those fancy looking features. What i love about this app is that its simple, easy to use and very straightforward. Exactly what you need for a long term app. I almost use this multiple times per day and put in every transaction i make. And when someone ask me for money, i put their name down as an expenses and put the amount in 🤣

Fantastic App. This is exactly what I was looking for. I spent hours and hours setting up worksheets to track expenses by category and be able to analyze my spending habits. This app does all that and more; customize categories, create multiple accounts, and export data to Excel for further inquiry if wanted. I like that you don't sync any online checking or credit card accounts. You simply record transactions as they occur. The interface is very easy to use and manage and looks crisp and clean. There is a budget option as well that I haven't used but it's there if needed. The app provides a quick and painless way to track income and expenses and know exactly where your money is going each month.

Super easy. This is it. Much easier and more straight-forward than apps like Mint, etc. If you just want to see where your money is going and get a handle on your spending this works great. Money in, money out by category Easy to customize and lots of options. A spread sheet option would help, though, so you could get a better idea of flow throughout the year. Also it would be nice if you could run monthly averages on categories to see see trends. UPDATE: I increased it to 5 stars. After 4-5 years it kept us on track during retirement. Still would like to be able to average each category at end of year to evaluate budget. Now I calculate it all out.

Moving from WALLY. Wally won't export. This is a well thought out app. I REALLY hope you stay in BUSINESS. Is there any way to import data from an "Out if Business" app ? I was using Wally. Even paid for WALLYn, only to find out I can't export data and can't import data! Then Wally went out of business with no notice! I was very lucky to have found your app before I returned to pen and paper! Your app is GREAT! Everything I had wanted in Wally (except I don't see receipt capture), is here. Hopefully the app will not fail after 5000 transactions like Wally. Unfortunately all of my historical data is on Wally! Wally won't let me export data because they stopped support without any notice!

Exactly right!. We wanted an easy way to track what we spend and had tried many other ways, to no avail. This app is exactly what we wanted! It doesn’t offer options we don’t need and doesn’t leave out anything we do. Entries are so easy to add on the run. Love that we can create our own categories and make notes for what the money was specifically used for! The $2.99 one-time fee to upgrade allows us to make standard charges automatically recurring. As a newly retired couple, the app has made it easy to keep track of what we’re spending so that the bank balance is never an unhappy surprise!

Still my daily driver for tracking my expenses. Like many others, I've used several different financial apps in the past, mainly sticking with Moni. It was simple and did exactly what I needed, but after a few bugs (most of them fixed quickly) I decided to look elsewhere. I kept seeing this one and couldn't get past how ugly the interface was, so I didn’t even bother. Well, here I am months later. After giving this one a try, I am a very satisfied user. In the end, this app is well worth the few dollars for the extremely useful features and reliability. Could it use a face lift? Sure, but it does everything so well that I'll take that over a good-looking, unusable app any day. Don’t be an idiot like me. Give this one a shot.

One feature missing. This is an excellent tool for tracking your spending. It’s simple, well integrated, and totally customizable. Only one feature seems to be missing. That’s the ability to change your budget amount and settings, without it affecting ALL the previous months, weeks, etc. Let’s say I had $100 to spend last week, but this week money is tight and I’ve got only $50. If I have the Carry-Over settings turned on, suddenly it looks like I’m hundreds of dollars in the red. I WANT to use the carry-over because I spent $5 over last week. But I also want to change the budget amount from week to week without it affecting the carry-over amount. Fix that and it gets five stars.

Amazing app. I’ve been using this app for more than 6 years. They just keep getting better and better. It’s a perfect one to manage your finance and to know in every moment where your money is being spent. Definitely it keeps you on track! The only thing I would love to be added are Sub-categories. It accumulates a lot of categories over time because they can only be added as an individual ones and sub- categories can’t be created. I think that would be a huge help to be able to place sub- categories under the main category. Other than that app is great.

It gets the job done. I got this app after reading reviews of other people and it seem to be what I really needed in app to track my money. At first I let the app generate titles and I slowly added or removed ones I didn’t need. Now this is all on the free version of the app there are a couple of things I like to do but I am guessing it’s in the paid version. There seems to be a little glitch or maybe it is me that I use it to keep a closer running total on my checking account and twice in the couple of weeks I had it the totals didn’t match up like they been doing before. Now I don’t know is it is my doing or the app doing so far I am saying it is me. I wish I could more but I have to pay for it and trying to save money instead of spend it.

Love this app. So useful and straightforward. I use the different accounts to track purchases made on different credit cards. And I have an account for each of my kids so we don’t have to use cash for allowance or for them paying me back for a purchase (they are now teens; I recommend cash for younger kids!). I do wish there were a checkbox feature that I could use to check off items as I check them against credit card bills. But for now I put a capital letter in the description to show it’s checked against the credit card bill. And I love that I can easily go back and forth between my phone and iPad. Great app - thank you!!

Best $3 I ever spent. I love this app and that it syncs between my iPad and iPhone. I find the interface very easy to navigate and being able to easily add new categories on the fly is almost so easy you don’t realize you’re doing it. I do wish that entering a note didn’t override the category when viewing transactions. There seems to be enough room on the screen to allow for category / (slash) first part of the note and maybe an option to toggle the order for those that want the note part first. Having the category and note displayed together in transaction view would make it much easier to identify mis-categorized items. But again, for 3 bucks, it does exactly what I needed and then some.

Simple and easy to use. I love that this is a very straightforward way to track your expenses in real time without having to link it to my bank account and it works for my budgeting purposes. It’s like keeping a checkbook that you balance each month but digitally. With this app, it has saved me $2,000 in just four months where I would have struggled to make ends meet. How? I looked at my spending habits and really was able to narrow down what I was spending on the most and cut down on that. I hope this developer continues to get the support to continue improving and update to this app.

Fantastic and easy to use. I’m so grateful for this budgeting app! It has been essential in helping me budget my personal expenses. I don’t use it for our family bills, which I easily could, but rather for figuring out my own personal budget for the household. I can keep track - to the penny - what I’ve spent and what I have left. What I like the most is that you can put recurring income and expenses in it so that when a new month begins, all those subscriptions and monthly fees are already there. I don’t have to write them down every month and from the beginning of the month I know what I can spend and what part of my household allowance is already spoken for. Thank you for improving my family’s life with your app!

Surprisingly good. At first this app didn’t seem pleasing to the eye and I assumed this app would be my least favorite for watching my spending. However it is easiest and most helpful app I’ve used to keep track of my money. I would love to see in the future some style options because the look isn’t my favorite. Also it’s be nice to have an option where we could set aside money and then take money out of it. For example I save 100 out of my paycheck for gas. I don’t want to see this money as available money for me to spend so I usually just make $100 expense in the app. But, I also want to keep track of how much gas specific money I have left throughout the weeks, so a feature that would let me live the best of both worlds would be great.

Absolutely the best. I’ve used this for four years now. Makes it super simple to add expenses and income by category. I can’t believe it’s free, and the fact that the pro-version is for LIFE is just amazing. I can’t say enough good things about Spending Tracker! None of the apps that claim to be able to import all of your transactions are able to sync with all of my accounts. This is the only app that has ever let me track absolutely everything, and being in the habit now of documenting everything I buy has helped me control my spending better. I built up some credit card debt after a move in 2019 but paid it off in less than 18 months with this app. Thank you so much to the developer!!
