Love to Eat Out. This app is very helpful, especially when you go out in a group. Their is always someone who knows they don’t have enough money but chooses to go out anyway! This breaks it down and everyone is happy! The best part is no one has to wash dishes!!

Simple, and easy to use. I have had this app for years and love it, then decided to upgrade to the pro version to get rid of the commercials, totally worth every penny. If you don’t mind 1 commercial within 30 seconds of launching the app, then the free version should work perfect for you. I use this each time we go to a restaurant or order delivery, works perfectly and is reliable.

Works Great !. Wonderful when you're trying to stay on budget while shopping, or splitting tab with friends. 2020 and the Tip Calculator still works good, except the adds block bottom and you can't see total

Ads ruin usability. This app works well enough in the general sense. However, ads will pop up and take over the entire screen every other time you try to use it. And you can’t dismiss them right away either. I decided to delete the app because I didn’t want to deal with that anymore. You can pay to get rid of the ads, but I felt like the developer was trying to badger me into forking over money rather than letting the value of the app itself persuade me. I didn’t want to reward such an obnoxious strategy.

Tip Calculator. Too hard to remove ads especially when you are at a restaurant trying to pay and get out. No other app we have does this. It is always easy to get past especially the full screen ads. We understand the necessity of ads, but not being able to easily get past them when they don’t apply to you is a hassle. If this isn’t fixed we will be deleting your app.

Love the app, but.... Between the adds and the rate us question, I could only give it four stars. It does what I want, which is good. I may end up getting the ads free version sometime down the road.

Good application; does a lot. After reviewing this application I am well pleased with what it offers. I don't like the Advertising, however it puts in front of me what I need and gives me some options for calculations. So I recommend it.

Itemized split tip. I love that you can split the tip because at restaurants like to just send provide the check without going the extra mile to ask if there will be separate checks. If we can enter the amount of everyone’s items to get and accurate split instead of splitting the total overall would be fantastic. But I love this calculator, does the job for the most part.

Liked original version—. I was showing this app to a student & somehow hit the upgrade button…..looked through it all & it seems to be the same. I never had ads… How can I downgrade? 4 stars for the original version not the $9.99 version.

Great up, but pop-ups are annoying!. I've been using this app for many years and it's been great. Within the past year they have thrown fullscreen pop-up advertisements that occur right in the middle of your calculations. Very annoying! (-2 stars from that)

Great app!. Best app ...Allows you to calculate tip amount based on percentage you want to tip. Even better, it also gives you the option to calculate, divide bill by # of people paying & tells you specific amount per person. Thank you!!!

Best one. This is quick and easy which is needed when you're wrapping up dinner and ready to leave. I don't have small ones but think this is a must have for a family outing with friends and the end of a meal can be hectic and getting kiddos ready to leave is like herding cats lol it's one less thing to worry about.

Additional option request!. Really enjoy the tip calculator! I usually tip on the bill before tax, because who wants to tip sales tax. It would be nice to have a way to add tax after the tip calculation and before the split option. Yesterday, I forgot about the tax and under tipped the server😟. Thank you!!!!

Howdy. Great app, easy to use. My go to app, for tipping for service.. If the service is terrible, this app helps me to give the least amount I can, so the server knows how bad their service to me was. I've only had to give 4% once, usually I give 20% or better

Tipping on tax. You need to know what the actual amount of the bill is before state tax or you’re tipping on that too. If they had the ability to have it calculate based on this it would be good

An indispensable app.. I found I was utilizing the free version of this app very often for several years and have found it to be one of my most used apps, I upgraded and paid for a subscription. This app quickly and accurately splits the bill as well as a tip [a percentage of your choosing] when dining with others. I have found it to be one of my most indispensable apps and so worth the cost.

User Friendly App. This app definitely takes the guess work out of figuring a tip amount and it makes it easy to calculate when there are multiple people to divide the payment. Great app to have!

Loved to Frustrated!!!!. I really liked the app, and have been using it for over a year, except for today, it changed from dollars to pounds? Not sure how it did this, all I did was open the app! I was trying to figure out how to change it back, but I can’t figure it out! There isn’t any settings for it? Very frustrated from this!!!

Get's it done in a snap!. There are many things this app might do, but the things I need it to do are quick and easy. Can I change the percentage I want to give? Yes, in a snap. Can I split a bill in half, or even between 7? So quick. I'm not a mathematician, I know when there's good service. I know when I want to boost a tip, there it is. I use this app a lot.

Used to be my favorite. Can no longer X out of the advertisements. At all. You can even go into the add and come back and the ad is still on top of the app so you can’t use it now. Very sad

Tip calculator review. This is a great app, Using this to check my homework, and it comes in handy at restaurants as well. This app is very reliable. Only problem is it can soft-lock when you are overusing it. Well that’s not necessarily the apps problem, it might be my phone. Otherwise the ad pop-ups aren’t really a problem. Since they are trying to make money being sponsored by those companies. This app is programmed greatly. I definitely recommend it for those people who are not good at money units.

Easy tip calculator. This is an easy tip calculator to use; to figure out the tip for a meal including the ability to split the tip to be paid. I also use it to estimate how much I should put in saving or how much to tithe by using the tip calculate.

Ads make me frustrated. I like the app except for 2 factors: 1. An advertisement pops up *right in the middle* of using it, and I have to wait to see the X for close. Sometimes the colors even make it hard to see the X. 2. It does not offer a “mirror results” feature. I would put up with the advertisements if it did.

Great App When Eating Out. It takes just seconds to figure a tip at any rate you choose. You can round up or down. You can split the check if that meets your needs.

Ads are insane. I’ve had this app for several years, over multiple iPhone generations and was my go-to for calculating tips. Over the last 1-2 years, the Ads on this app is just flat out disgraceful. It used to be a small print on the bottom, nothing that would disrupt the experience of the app. Since it introduced its “subscription model”, it’ll display like 5+ ads on the front that’s so overwhelming and just one on top of the other, you can’t even see the app or even find the bottom to skip Ads to get to the app. It’s horrendous.

Decent app, ads are anxiety-inducing. The app works as intended and is very handy for the mathematically un-inclined. However, the ads pop up and take the entire screen, usually when there’s a long line of people behind you waiting for you to leave. So the logical solution is to open the app before your turn in line to let the app run its course. Unless your forget, or you’re the first in line. In any case, it’s not at all user-friendly, to my way of thinking. Trying to quickly calculate tip while getting out of the way and also having to wait for the ad to run its course before I can even start calculating is massively anxiety-inducing. In the end, it’s probably just faster for me to use the calculator on my phone, which is supposed to be the point of this app to begin with. The ads negate the purpose of the app. I recommend just having banner ads, as long as I can use the app without interference, it works well. Otherwise, the phone calculator probably does the job just as well.

A Handy App To Have!. I am math challenged, so to me, this user-friendly app is a life saver! I recommend it highly, especially those of you who often go out and split the bill with friends or family.

Best Because of Ease in Using It!. I have tried other apps but this is my favorite!! It is so easy with fast results. It does all the figuring quickly and efficiently. Needs no smarts on my part.

Quick & Easy. I like how you can adjust the % of tip you want to give! If someone gives more than 20% service you can quickly adjust that!

Use it often. Yes, I use this app often I use it to calculate what a percentage of a discount is off of certain product, and I use it with my Calculator quite often would prefer not to have the ads, but they quickly let me delete them and move on with what I was doing which was using it to calculate percentage

Just what is says. Simple and easy. Fits my simple needs with just the entering of the total bill and my desired tip amount. Two steps and I’m done. All deal with the adds to support the developers instead of the paid version.

I've tried several different calculators and this one is by far the best . I really enjoy this one.. Right after our meal I just plug in the total and it calculates my tip Makes dinner dates easy. When we have dinner with friends it’s easy to split the bill. I love this app.

Fan for years. We have always used the tips to help paying 15% , sometimes just someone at restaurant would adjust the tip to higher then 15%.. we are safe with this tool.

Impossible to Use. I’ve had this app since before I can remember, years and years now. But I’ve seen this app slowly decline since the beginning. Usability became a frequent issue. The decimal button would randomly disappear, sometimes you couldn’t input anything without turning it horizontally, and the ads have increased and are out of control. The ads take up the entire screen, they’re annoying to have to wait to get out of, and it makes it so inconvenient when you just want to pay your bill and leave. And you know they’re making this as annoying as possible so you’ll buy the ad free version, which used to be a lifetime purchase, then it became yearly, and now it’s $3 a month. With other ad-free apps available that do the same thing or more, this just isn’t worth the trouble. Sorry guys, I’m out.

Like it use to be. Took. my wife out to breakfast. The waitress was especially nice , everyone was nicer than usual I can recall in my younger years when there was not so much confusion, earlier we had our prayer time and I feel that God just gave us a special blessing. Thank you Lord .

Advertising is too "in your face". Advertising is too flashy & across the top of the screen. If you round up or down you can't undo it.

Pop up ads. I hate the pop up ads that come up when i open the app. I want to quickly figure out the tip and having to figure out how to get rid if the ads it a pain. Otherwise i love the app.

As at the worst time. I’ve been using this app and liking it until several months ago. When I open the app and begin entering the bill amount an ad screen takes over the screen. I have to wait to clear the screen and then resume the calculation as the waiter waits. Infuriating!!

Incorrect calculations. This app, like almost every other tip calculating app, calculates the tip off of the post-taxed total. You are tipping more than you should be because you calculating the tip on the tax portion too. Tips should be calculated on the pre-tax total of the bill. This app does not give you the option to factor the tax out of the equation. Therefore it is just an average app that I would only give 2.5 stars (if that was an option)!

Great App, BUT. This is a very handy App, I use it every time I go out, but it would be very helpful if there was a before tax section. A part where you can add in the bill subtotal before tax, and then the app gives you the total (with tip), then adds the tax amount on afterward. You aren't suppose to tip on taxes.

Tip Calculator. This is very helpful. It’s basically set at 15%, but you can add more or less depending on the area or situation. Saves you the trouble of adding in your head. The ads are you a annoying but easily ignored.

Ads ruin it.. I was in the middle of adding a tip and a ad popped up, took over the screen. I had to start over. Different ads running every few seconds at the very top of the page. The decimal point is placed by itself in the middle of nowhere. This app. Is owned by Google.

TIP Calculator. This is a great app. I love it. Yes, I can determine how much to tip a waitress or waiter, but this makes it easier. It also gives us more than just calculating tips.

Way too many ads. The ads are overwhelming. They pop up while you’re trying to type, tricking into clicking into the ad, making it difficult to get back to the calculator to even use it. Had to delete it.

Too many pop-ups. I loved this app but lately been getting way too many pop-up advertisements that would force you to click on them. Nope not me. I I just deleted the app & download another one. Competition is great for the consumer.

Not helpful. The ads are the worst, popping up when you have people waiting for their money. And also it only goes to 30% but a lot of businesses including my salon, now ask for a 35% tip if you loved the service.

Now when you quickly and discreetly open the app to find the amount to pay as a tip .. out pops an add .. followed by another add saying if you don’t want ads to pay 2.99 a year for this app. I immediately went to the App Store and got another free tip calculator.. no adds .. that wasn’t the best move.. checkmate..
