Easy to use always work. Never any difficulties. Love the simplicity

Good job. I have used this for a little over a year on a laptop but first time with a iPad. I am very pleased with the way it works, but can be a little tricky. Found out that the user name must appear exactly the same it is case sensitive just like a password.

Used to not work ... Now works great. In the past I kept trying to get this to work and it never would. Wasted a lot of time. But recently I saw they updated it and gave it a try. Bam! Connected right away without hesitation. I noticed this time when I first ran the app it asked about adding VPN settings and needing my permission. I never noticed it asking that before in the past. This is probably what fixed it. Otherwise it seems to do its job works great.

Mediocre at best compared to VPNs like Proton. There’s no FaceID, no widget for a quick connection, no auto-connect or anything that makes this thing remotely user friendly.

Works as it should.. Have not observed any problems or issues so far. I use it daily, and do recommend it.

Please support iOS 12 of iPhone XR. Rate is one of this version.

The Best ssh app!!. I have tried more than 10 ssh app. Termius us certainly the best.

Works ok but causes WiFi issues. On my iPad Pro 9.7 and iPhone 7 Plus running latest iOS, I will randomly lose WiFi. It’ll say it’s connected In settings but the WiFi symbol does not show up. I thought it was a fluke and didn’t put two and two together that it happens after timing out the SSL VPN connection. I used to reset network settings to fix it. I just now had the issue and thought hmmm I was just using the app when my iPad died. I uninstalled the app and WiFi immediately started to function properly with the WiFi symbol appearing now. Overall it’s a good app - easy to use, intuitive, and simplistic. I mean, you need it regardless in order to use the fortigate ssl vpn.

Fast, Secure and Reliable!. Great app! I have used this app for work while hiking, camping, at home and elsewhere during the past 18 months. Forticlient has proven great for maintaining secure connectivity with my business PC.

A must have for Fortinet devices.. Fortinet's VPN client works very well. We use it to connect to a variety of FortiGate appliances. If run a Fortinet security stack, you need this client.

Great simple client, but not for privacy. This client works great on iOS devices to connect to a Fortinet VPN. This is not the app you want if you are looking for a VPN for privacy. This is meant for clients to connect to enterprise networks. Once I had my new Fortigate up and running it was simple to deploy this to both iPhones and iPads. If you run into any issues contact your Network admin who in turn should have a direct line to fortinet support.

I can’t input any configuration. No input area for vpn name, it’s not editable.

Deletes the created connection. I created a connection and saved my settings and password but the app keeps deleting it like in every 10-20 log in

Nothing special. Mediocre at best. Does what its supposed to do, but the interface is blah

No ios11. This app doesn't support the latest ios, so it is useless.

Clunky. Works sometimes and does not at other times with correct credentials.

Always disconnects.... I’m extremely frustrated my employer’s IT department has required us to log into FortiClient prior to accessing our company website via a web browser on iPhone/iPad. This app has two major flaws: (1) It’ll disconnect you constantly, forcing you to insert your password. (2) It doesn’t save your password like most modern apps and websites (not even if biometrics from Apple are applied).

Before IOS 11. The last update, is broken I can’t connect, they slider doesn’t move to connect. Please fix this, is my only way to my routers and servers in my network.

How is this 4 stars???. App rarely works. Can't delete profiles. "Internal error" most times I try to connect.

iOS 12 issues. Worked great on previous iphone. Upgraded iPhone which has iOS 12 and the app no longer works.

Still the best!!!. FortiClient has always been my favorite tool for VPN secure easy to for when working with remote connectivity issues.

Crashes in OS11. I can’t even login anymore since OS11. The app loads but any interaction with it causes it to crash. I need this app for connecting to work, forces me to use my PC.

Fabulous app and hardware device.. Professionally installed by local IT company. Works flawless all over the world especially China.

Can’t save ssl password. Why? Can’t slide the saving button.

Great VPN Client. Very stable, no issues.

Not working ~~ But found workaround ~~. Trying to install this on an iPad Pro and it fails in a loop as others have mentioned. It hangs the device alternating between asking for two confirmation dialog boxes. It also switches you to the VPN settings page and doesn't create the entry as needed. Contacted Fortinet tech support and worked with them - were able to trace it down to a dependence on iCloud Drive. You must have iCloud Drive enabled before you install this, otherwise you get into the endless dialog box error. You can turn iCloud Drive off after that.

Good but invasive. Appears to be invasive in its monitoring.

Awefull!. EVERY single time I need to use this, I have to delete, re-install and re-configure to get it to work. It should just work every time. The problem is that we’re stuck since that is what our IT group likes and I can’t possibly understand why.

Buggy. The app has problems removing old profiles. Also, if you save the password, and you have 2FA enabled, you will have to kill the FotroClient profile and create a new one, making sure to NOT save the password! Buggy :(

Ok, could integrate better. Wish I could get it to work with built in iPhone support instead of opening the app, but otherwise its fine.

Nice and simple SSL VPN app. The simple interface has really helped me give less technical employees an easy way to access resources via VPN.

Wow! Super Easy. Fast connecting, Fast & Stable connection. I downloaded this app and I was fully prepared for a battle. NOPE! Setup is a breeze. Connection are stable and fast. Logging in only took about 10 seconds at most. Now part of the apps success depends on the other end of the cord but not to brag... But our's seems to be working great! I am interested in the web filtering so if anyone has used it, I'd be interested in how it went.

Consistently Crashes. iPad Pro / iOS 11 App will open and ask to add VPN. Click yes, takes you to settings and then redirected back to app. At that point the app crashes. After that, every time I try to open the app it crashes. Have tried reinstalling and doesn’t help.

ANNOYING. Need to input password everytime and its a waste of time and troublesome. Better replace password with touch/face ID for faster login. Simplify the login process... i.e one the app is click and load straight away request for touch/face id. Its more secure and its our hp anyway. Unable to toggle on/off the save password button, whats is the point of having the save password button in the first place??

Seamless. Super simple to deploy and use. All my users can work it easy.

Works well but no keep alive option.. As stated above it works however there is no keep alive option so the VPN will disconnect when your phone is not in use.

With the new update, works great. It's finally a fully functional vpn client. Not that web only stuff it was Belford. Don't know why it took so long to come to iOS. I tried it and it's very reliable than on windows 10.

Waste of time. Doesn't run any other apps off the VPN. Just a web browser, which is built into it. Totally useless.

Confusing icon. When you updated the icon I thought it meant the app was outdated and I should look for a newer version. In software, legacy means old and outdated. Google it. :)

Locked my phone. I wouldn't recommend installing this app, on install it asked for access to my email and then that message repeatedly popped up completely locking my phone up so that I had to switch it off and then uninstall the app as soon as it had switched on again. Please do a lot more testing before releases.

Good for SSL Web. Don't expect this to be like the PC client we are all familiar with - sadly does not replace the idevice VPN connection... But does work through Web.

Buggy and broken. Just like the rest of their VPN clients.. I only downloaded this because work has recently got a Fortigate to replace our Watchguard. The PC VPN client had been unreliable at best. This iOS client is flat out broken. It's a web browser with built in VPN client. As soon as I connect the configured VPN connection, the browser effectively breaks. I can't change the URL. I can't load a new URL from the suggested bookmarks and when I try I to load a bookmark the the address field turns into a solid grey box. Based on my experiences with their firewall, mail appliance and VPN solutions at work, I would not recommend any of Fortinet's products to anyone except my worst enemy. Nice one Fortigate. This product further vindicates my evaluation if your products. Utter rubbish.

Don't waste your time. Another half hearted app by fortinet. SSL VPN does not work properly at all.

BEWARE - Removing this app breaks iOS. The app is functional and does what it says. If you remove it from your iPad/iPhone it breaks the VPN settings page in iOS settings and prevents you from accessing it to setup any other VPN. I had to reinstall this app, just to regain access to the iOS VPN settings page. This is terrible software design. Please fix!

Password saving failure. Would have gave 5 stars if the feature « save password » hasn’t been greyed out after an update...

Works well. Since IOS stopped supporting PPTP VPN last release, it's been a problem accessing our corporate VPN via Apple devices. If you have a Fortigate this works very well.

Easy to use, and One of best VPN app. App is very easy to use. VPN works great. Tried Web filter and I think this is the best web filtering App.

Light-weight SSL VPN app. Light weight client, easy to use and easy to config. It has no tunnel support but it does very well with the web portal configuration.

Absolutely Useless. This app is absolutely useless, it is touted as being used to create a secure VPN connection to corporate but that only works if all you want to do is browse internal web sites. Can't RDP to a server to do remote restart, apply patches, etc. All in all a very useless application

Need to add all important tunnel mode!. The app works as documented. BUT! Any SSL VPN client must support tunnel model to be useful, allowing users to use any app they want after the connection has been setup. Fortinet just download the Sonicwall MobileClient and see how it is done!

DNS doesn’t work, my laptop is fine but this I/f doesn’t work. DNS is an issue, not sure what to tell my network admins. They don’t have time to support a one off iPad.

Bad application. Worst application ever i saw. You have to enter the password every time you need to login. You cannot save the password!!! Disappointing

Good app, works well but…. This app is cool but it doesn't support 2-factors authentication and tunnel mode. Please add these two features and this app will rock. That's why I gave 3 stars.

Stable but.... When disconnecting, there is no automatic reconnect option. That would be great for my end users.

Very good!. Good app, simple and does what it needs to do! Could be easily improved by addind password or finger print authetication support! Could also improve behavior when the phone goes off, a simple settings to maintain the connection could save some reconnect time!

Slow & Buggy. Very slow (30-60 seconds) to connect. Also, if you select "save password" the app crashes. Not what I would have expected from Fortinet. My F5 client has worked flawlessly for years...it's not that hard people.

Tunnel Mode. Come on fortinet tunnel mode has been support for almost a year and this client still doesn't support it! Most of the other VPN clients update a months after ios9 release This is taking too long

The App does nothing. I don't understand how this app has made its way to the AppStore. The app is supposed to setup a vpn connection to the Fortigate Firewall, but when you launch the app, it does nothing but send you back to the App Store. The app does nothing. What's up with this?

FINALLY!!!. The previous version was totally useless for me, with no way to connect to a remote PC or server. This update corrected that!

Easy to use and it works!. Clean UI and stable.

Stopped working. This app used to work perfectly. Now, as soon as I hit the connect button I get a message "no internet connection". It will work if I'm connected to wifi but it no longer works with cellular connections.

finally! Awesome!. Finally worth using. Totally useless before but works like a charm after this most recent update. SSL VPN actually hooking into iOS so you can use safari now. Well done fortinet!

Total garbage. We have a FortiNet VPN at work. I am the network engineer. This app is total garbage. It does not work. In fact, it does absolutely nothing. It connects but I have access to nothing. Can't access any internal websites - not to mention servers or anything else.

Crashes. The app doesn't seem to allow browsing into network folders through the VPN; it crashes when attempting to open a second level folder.

Still Needs Work. I was able to get one VPN configure set up. Every time I try to do a second one it crashes when I click 'Done'.

No network connect. For those who say this is Apple's fault and that there are no apps with VPN, we use Juniper Pulse and connect. It can be done and it is being done at least with that application, so it should be something that Fortinet can do too.

Finally. They've finally made this app useful. Now I can use the coveted SSLVPN. Works like a charm too.

Latest update is broken. The app itself has never been great, but it has historically worked. The interface was bad, and I often had to force quit to disconnect the VPN. This latest update, however, doesn't even work. The VPN refuses to connect, when turning the switch "on", it immediately turns back off with no error dialog. The interface is riddles with errors as well. It will mistakenly enter "edit" mode on VPN configurations instead of simply listing a configuration to use.

Slow and Crash Prone. Pages load slowly using the Forticlient browser. There is constant screen refreshing when on popular web sites. This is a very disappointing app.

Doesn't Work. Not a client and doesn't work as a browser. Tried to use their browser to connect to my internal site and get a "connection lost" error. Provides no data so you can't tell if it's working or not.

Initial configuration crashes iPhone. When starting the client for the first time, it gets stuck in a horrible permissions loop. You literally have to reboot your phone to recover from this. Totally unacceptable.

Basic VPN for use with Fortinet's firewalls.. Have been using FortiClient for a while on iPad, and appears to get the job done. Use it primarily in tunnel mode for RDP access using Microsoft's RD Client. Does require manual setup of VPN, but that is fine since the devices are not business owned nor managed by a MDM. Feature set is on par with the Unified Windows Platform App for Windows 10, but not the full featured desktop FortiClient run on Mac or Windiws.

SSL VPN tunnel mode. They finally updated their app to support SSL VPN tunnel mode for iPhone. It's about time!

Not sure yet. For the people having issues... You launch the client, it opens safari. There is a pad lock at the bottom of the screen, click on that and configure your connection. Should be able to connect then.

Works As Intended. This does what it's supposed to do. iOS devices do not support SSL by default and thus you can't send all VPN traffic like IPSEC. If it doesn't work, you have it configured wrong somewhere.

Worthless. Not really a VPN client, just a nice wrapper on their existing reverse HTTP proxy support. So if your internal website won't work through their web proxy, it won't work here either.

Endless loop. I rated this a 1 because 0 wasn't available. Launching the app results in an endless loop of pop ups. You can't do a single thing until you restart your phone. Worthless.

Limitations in iOS. For everyone complaining that there's no Tunnel Mode or IPSec in this, those are limitations of iOS that Apple enforces upon developers. Note that there are NO 3rd party VPN apps with this capability in the App Store. You can configure your Fortigate to host an IPSec VPN that will work with the built-in Cisco VPN client in iOS, that's what we do. There are how-to docs online, look it up.

Totally Worthless. What’s the point of this app? It’s not a VPN client as others have stated. Although connects to a FortiNet VPN, it seems like all it does is let you surf the web over the VPN. I need access to back-end servers, not glorified web browsing!

Doesn't work with RADIUS. For some reason if I have locks user account on the FortiGate it works fine but when it sends the credentials to our Radius server it fails. This works fine with the desktop client. I really want to use this but it's doing something strange with the password.

Current version is broken. Loops during setup when it asks if you'd like to allow others to find you via email. Only fix is to restart phone completely. Had to delete app as problem starts again after restart. Please fix! Need for work!

Worthless. No app support. What good is it to vpn into work just to get browse the internet from your work server. Need to support ios vpn connectivity like every other vpn product out there!!!!!

Good grief. Exitedly opened previously useless app hoping for it to be better only to find that it still does not work. Tells me that I must "allow" the popup request which brings up a fingerprint verification in settings box with no other option but to cancel, whereafter it says that I cannot create a VPN account. This is insane! Please oh please sort it out!

Has Definitely Improved. The SSL VPN tunnel feature was a huge improvement! Please keep improving this app where you can.

Works well. No issues, very stable

Cannot load bookmarks/cannot save password. Cannot load bookmarks - is this the reason I cannot login the server? Besides, it crashes whenever I try to save the password.

Useless. Apparently a marketing ploy to pretend they have an iDevice client. Ignore this bogus "client" (which basically is branded Safari web browser using the Fortinet device as a SSL proxy to the Internet) and set up L2TP on your Fortigate using the directions on Fortinet's site.

Very helpful. From within our local network, I find this app very helpful in managing our equipment. Now, to find a way in from the "outside" world (firewalled of course, please). Kudos to Fortinet for developing these helpful tools.

RDP needed. It looks better that the old tool but I faced compatibility problems accessing rich http sites. In all fairness this could be due to the appliance configuration that needs to be tweaked. My real need is for RDP.

SSL VPN. When Apple killed PPTP, I needed an app to SSL VPN into my work. Other apps were lousy and/or didn't work. Forticlient is simple to set up and interfaces well with Apple's settings app. 5 stars. I don't understand the negative reviews because my whole company uses this app and has had no issues. Fully recommended!

Completely does not work.. The app crashes as soon as you try to navigate to a page, every time. The keyboard is also non-standard and extremely difficult to type with. There is also no way to download your company's security key file to establish a VPN connection in the first place. This is completely useless.

SSL VPN finally works!. The SSL tunnel finally works for me! I'm able to configure the same as my web portal clients and access everything as designed. Very pleased!

Just as others said - useless. Very poorly designed. Design consists mostly of blank screens and you have to hit the edit button to get anywhere (even though what you are trying to do has nothing to do with "editing" - I'm guessing the people who wrote this don't speak much English. After figuring out the instructions the thing still goes in circles and makes you enter passwords and IPs over and over. Don't waste your time with this.

Crashes when I enter passphrase. When I try to connect to my office Fortigate (the only reason I use this app), it crashes as soon as I enter the passphrase. So disappointing from my trusted vendor!

Great for RDP. I have been using this software for a couple weeks now, it works pretty flawlessly for remote desktop, using the Microsoft RD client application on my iPhone 6 as well as the iPad air 2, over LTE.

No longer works. The previous version was crippled but worked, this version connects fine but cannot resolve any hosts on the network I've VPN'ed to. So it's completely useless to me.

WARNING!. This is malware. 1. Sits there and does nothing 2. Apparently needs configured.. cryptic display needs docs. App says 'See QuickStart guide. There's NO guide. Not here or on the web. 3. Second install- wanted to access contacts etc. Stuck in loop requiring power cycle. I've been installing anti malware (and more) programs for a living since 1989 and never ran into this kind of mess!!!

Nearly pointless... no more functionality than using the ssl-vpn portal web page client to access web resources.. RDP / VNC most needed. Best would be full tunnel mode support, to allow me to use other RDP / vm-view tools...

Useless. It allows you to connect to a fortinet vpn, that works but what then? You can't use that connection for anything at all. Someone has lost the plot completely in writing this app. It is utterly pointless and has no function.

Another Half-baked product rushed to market. Fortinet doesn't cease to amaze me releasing stuff not worth the tag "Alpha" let alone something you publish with your name in it. It would go bananas prompting like a child "are we there yet?" A million times. It's amazing that apples even allows this. Considering the fruit company acts like they all walk on water. Pure garbage!

Useless. This app does not route iPhone ip traffic. It creates a web proxy through you fortigate to your network through http. This app through other non iPhones works just as expected.

Not working out for my Client.. Needs tunnel mode. Wish you can open PDF files using a 3rd party program.
