Abysmal!. Why do I have to give one star? This is worth zero. Registration through the app doesn't work because the app doesn't display the CAPTCHA it requires. When the app opens the camera to scan a QR code, it doesn't offer an option to turn on the light, and crashes if you turn the light on first. Bring a separate flashlight! The support link from here goes to an ABB page with "access denied." Good luck!

Utter junk.. Can't believe Apple okayed this app. Could not register on mobile. Would not let me accept terms. 2x. And erased all info. Do not waste your time.

Won't run on iPhone 4s either. Bummer. They just installed one of these stations next to work, too.

Awful. We have 4 or 5 GE stations here on Kauai, and NONE of them show up! And I can't register because it doesn't show the captcha.

Worthy of Zero Stars. 1) The in-app registration relies on a Captcha authentication that fails to load the actual captcha image. 2) The QR scanner relies on a web service that failed to respond after 20 attempts. 3) Despite standing next to the charging station, the map interface insisted that the charging station was in a parking lot across the street. 4) Upon registering on their website, the app claimed that my account didn't exist. Even after the confirmation email came through, the app claimed my account didn't exist. I used a competing app and charging service and was able to NFC scan into the charging station with my phone and start charging in less than a minute. GE should be ashamed.

Completely useless. Can't register from app because Captcha will not display. Cannot call help from within the app. Cannot email help from within the app. When you call the number you get a call center in India and you will repeat yourself ten times trying to get them to understand. They will tell you to sign in from a desk top. The desk top in my car? Does not accept Apple Pay. Only takes PayPal. Just useless. Go buy gas.

A poor app got even worse after the last update. It has always been a lengthy and annoying process to get a charging transaction authorized: too many taps and clicks and a login error at PayPal. After the latest update it doesn't even remember account information at all. Unbelievable, how a company like General Electric can release and offer such a poor application. By the way: the industrial design of the charging stations is equally poor for many reasons, but that's a different story and not the subject here.

Horrible app!. I have to say, my experience is very similar to the other reviewer. This app is absolutely horrible. Download it it add a shopping center where there were multiple GE wattstation chargers, but the app does not allow you to attach a credit card, you have to go into the website, which is completely not mobile friendly, in order to attach a PayPal account, not a credit card, and that feature has not worked for three days now. On top of that, none of these chargers show up in the app. I mean I’m standing here looking at eight of them, and not one of them shows up as an option in the app. What complete and utter garbage. Yesterday I called the Support number, but surprise, it is only staffed during weekday business hours. Garbage!

Ok. Logs me out everytime I close it. Map doesn't show all GE charger locations.

The app make the service unusable. I am going to join the chorus of voices pointing out that this app is effectively useless for what it intends to do. You cannot use this app to start charging at a GE WattStation. It’s fine at helping you find a station but once you get there it is simply impossible to start a charge. I am hopeful that someone at GE is monitoring this and will send a Beta team to try themselves and see that the app actually drives people away from their charging stations in favor of charging stations of other companies such as EVgo and Blink. It’s too bad too because I have two stations near my work and I would use them but can’t so I go elsewhere.

POS. This app is atrocious. The password set up is probably the most ridiculous process I've ever been through. This app doesn't disservice to the burgeoning electric vehicle industry and GE better get it's &&&& together

Bad app. 1. It simply would not log-in and keep complaining about invalid credentials. The customer support was of no help. Then I decided to try removing a special character in my password. And that finally worked. 2. Changing the password was a pain too. The website settings wouldn't let me change it. I had to work around by saying I forgot password and thereby forcing the system to send me a password reset link

If It Wasn't Required For My Employer Stations, I Wouldn't Use It. Poorly designed app. Doesn't remember my credentials, ever. The "Forgot Password" button is where the login button should be. Oh and the app doesn't show the work charging stations that I need it for, they only show up on the website (which is equally as crappy). When I inquired, I was told its an app bug. Would be nice if I could see on my mobile if a station is in use. ChargePoint got it right, why not you GE?

Don't waste your time!. Easily one of the worst apps I've ever encountered! Now it won't even open.

Don’t download this. It’s seriously a waste of time and bandwidth. If you need to charge but don’t have a card for this, go somewhere else, don’t even try to set this up via the app. I really hope GE’s interfaces for its medical equipment are better, or we’re all doomed.

Painfully slow and difficult to use. If they require the app in order to use their chargers, you would think the app would be more user-friendly.

Register in App broken. Still after 1 year of reviews from others. No updates to the app. Registering for an account in the app does not work as the Captcha image will not load. It's support like this which holds me back from advocating for GE chargers at my office.

To the “developer”. I’m speaking to the Intern GE hired to make this tripe. You should be ashamed. I know you were just an intern, but even high school programming classes teach better software skills than you demonstrated here. Did you lie in your resume/interview, or are you the child of an employee? Do you even code?

QR code scan doesn’t access camera. It’s useless. You can’t scan the WR code because the app doesn’t even access the camera. There is not even QR code in the GE charging station for you to enter the station ID code. You simply cannot charge any car with this app and the charging station doesn’t even work or activate. I have not seen any worst EV charging station or charging app or charging card to activate charging at all. It is a joke.

This app changed my entire outlook on GE. Im very disappointed with the workmanship that went into not just the software that completely failed to load but also the hardware that was reading fault codes on 3 out of 4 units. I thought highly of GE over the past 30 years but this just ended it all for me. GE is officially junk to me. Almost everything made in China is of much higher quality than this carelessly neglected price of trash. I want GE and the world to know that I will never buy or trust anything from GE ever again.

Unbelievably bad. About the worst app I've ever used. Stations which are clearly GE stations, and which include instructions to use this app, are not found by the app. And this is a huge transit center with 11 stations. You can't sign up an account in app, you have to use a website that is one of the most mobile-unfriendly sites I have experienced. It should have occurred to the developers that many customers would be downloading the app while at the station and so mobile use case should be higher priority than a PC-formatted website. And once set up it still doesn't work. Feel free to call customer support, the 888 number is right on the charging station. But be sure you only need help during normal weekday business hours, because they are not open otherwise. Nobody needs help on the weekend or in the middle of the night anyway, right? I'm amazed that GE actually puts their brand on this pathetic experience.

Needs lots of improvement. It's a shame this apps is so unstable. Some times it works, other not so much. Very frustrating when you need the app in order to get your vehicle charged.

Won't recognize valid login credentials. This brilliant piece of software won't recognize valid login credentials (verified by using the exact same login credentials to login to web client).

Ghost of Jack Welch. Just brutal... Clearly not a profit engine for GE as this tool must be getting D level programmers. Won't run on iPhone 5. I mean it walks.. like I'm using dialup.

I hate this App !!. Would give it zero stars if I could. Wasted whole day trying to plug in my car at work. Installed it yesterday and it worked fine. Today, nada. Had to log in 10 times and even when logged in and going through all steps including the payment approval it still wouldn't charge. Problem is that I have no other option. My company installed 20 of these GE chargers at my work and that's my only option. Soooo annoying

Needs Improvement. The good: it works. Opportunities: the keep logged in function doesn't work, UI requires improvements. The forgot password button is where I would expect the login button.

Terrible app! Can't even registered to use it…. We have a charging station at our office that requires this app. When I tried to register it required a captcha but there was none. There is a button to create a new image but still nothing appeared. Therefore I can't even registered. I will be talking with management to remove the station from our office and replacing it with something that actually works

Worst app I've ever used. GE must have used complete morons to create this app. It's the worst smartphone app I've ever used. Not only doesn't it work but there's absolutely nothing about it that's intuitive. GE now bills itself as a technology company. God forbid if the app is representative of GE's technology skills. Makes me fearful of flying in an airplane with GE engines or anything with the GE brand on it. This app is total crap. It will waste your time so much that you will be very, very angry.

Needs an update for iPhone 6 and newer models' displays. This app needs to be optimized for the larger displays on the iPhone 6 and later models. It's currently just scaling up what is optimized for older devices like iPhone 5S and older.

Junk app. Seems like they spent more effort on designing the icon than on the functionality of the app. I resorted to getting the rfid card as this app just unreliable. Even if you do get it to make the charging station start, once you close the app it loses connection and there's no reconnecting to see status of charge, so might as well stick with rfid card. Clearly not a priority for GE.

Buggy and not reliable. Very buggy app which frequently crashes. Called the 800 number and they can't help turning on chargers. Sent email to customer service and received a reply 2+ weeks later and told me to update the app which is released but I can't find in App Store. C'mon GE I expected better quality from you. When it works it works great but takes several attempts and sometimes you have wait 5-10 minutes while it decides to connect.

Fully nonfunctional. There is nothing about this app that supports its existence. You cannot locate charging stations and if by chance you find one, it is impossible to use it because it’s impossible to register for an account. I spent hours this afternoon trying to register but the captcha code that is required to register was never provided. If I could give this zero stars I definitely would. One star indicates that it serves even minimal functionality, which this app does not. End result: I was not able to charge the car, had to run it on gas. Kudos to GE for forcing us to maintain the fossil fuel industry.

Inconvenient. App keeps crashing. Not properly synced with charging points... Have to try a few points before it works. Constantly have issues with app thinking a charging point is in use when it's not. (Especially at Irvine Spectrum locations). Doesn't refresh so you don't know how much is charged. Will kick you off without warning App and web are not seamless. Customer support doesn't have the means to be very helpful.

Stopped Working with latest IOS update. Please fix this app! It is poorly implemented and now I cannot charge my vehicle at work because of latest bugs.

No update in 2 years and doesn’t work: - ‘Locator’ doesn’t show the station I am standing right next to. - ‘Register’ doesn’t display a Captcha code so you can’t register, and the app crashes if you guess. - Scanning the station QR code opens Safari, but the GE WattStation page doesn’t load. - ‘Help’ opens a blank page with no help - ‘Contact’ displays phone number you can’t click to dial. THIS APP DOES NOT BELONG IN THE APP STORE.

Typical big corps app. No connection between mobile app dev dept und hardware unit, again many stations not listed in the crap app

Honest customer. Absolutely horrible app. Basic UI mistakes: help number cannot be tapped on to initiate a call!!?? You cannot even cut-n-paste the number. Instead, you must find a piece of paper, find a pencil or pen, copy the number, then dial using phone. Wow. How backwards. THEN, once calling the number from my desk, instead of hold music, there is an aggravating female voice that repeats advertising talk over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over... I then called from my cellphone in case I'd need to walk to the car charger. 2x calls were answered by an automated offer to win a trip for 2 to the Caribbean. After hanging up 2x and calling back, twice I got an announcement that this number cannot be called for your calling area. Why does GE make such a mess of such a simple customer support feature? Did anyone from GE ever test the system?

If I could rate less than 1 star I would. I this is might possibly be the worst app I have ever used. Can’t register for account within app cause or glitches, can’t connect to charger without hooking up PayPal account to pay but when you go to add a PayPal account it doesn’t work in the app or on the website. Spent 45 minutes trying to figure out how to charge before giving up Simply terrible.

Lucky charging works without the app.. Spent 20 minutes trying to register via a smart phone. It was painful and unsuccessful. No email notifications. Who would trust to link their paypal with this. Gave up and decided to try just plugging into the car. It works as of this review in Vancouver Canada. Would expect more from a GE name. Very lame!

just plugged in. Same issues as everybody else. So I just plugged in and the charging station worked. It was a free one though so not sure how others would fair.

A really bad app support. Look at the version history .. “4 years ago” for the last app updates... your company just wasting $$ to setup the charging station and no one can use.. no wonder ur buz is ending.

Works for me. I don't know if they affixed the problems other people are having, or I just got a good install, but the app hasn't failed me yet. Except it doesn't keep me logged in after I've minimized it. That's all. I scan the code, click continue, then it gives an error and says I have to be logged in. So I log in - works on the first try every time - and it turns on the unit within a couple seconds. No problem. I'm in DFW, TX, if that means anything, charging at AT&T Stadium. Just got my FFE a few days ago and have only had to plug into 2 different locations. At the stadium I have to use the app, but the other one I just plug it in and it turns on automatically. If all I have to do is login every time because it never 'remembers' me, and it works this well the rest of the time, I'll be very happy.

Not responding. It's a good thing I'm not in desperate need of a charge because if I relied on this app I would be stranded, the app it very slow and does not respond at all, even when attempting to manually enter a QR code it gives me an error message, the performance of this app is unacceptable and needs to be fixed.

Cannot register in app. Not able to register in app as it keeps telling me I am entering the wrong "captcha" code. Have tried 15 times and still no luck. Even on 2 letter codes it shows me.

Kind of a mess.... The app really needs to be updated for iOS 7. They've had a year to do it. When I go away from the app and come back it's lost the login info. Not good. Getting the app and starting the charge process was a pain too. I'll be using the station I'm at a lot. I wish the app looked and worked better.

Works fine for me. I was able to use the app properly yes I could not register through the app itself I had to go to the main website via the web browser on my phone and register that way but other than that I can scan the QR code and use the charge station
