Useful. Very confusing to learn how to use, but there are a lot of good features to get through. Useful when planning for a new apartment. In particular it took me a long time to discover that you can import patterns and textures. That means I was able to import a picture of the rug I want to get and see how it looks in the 3D model! The 3D rendering, however, does NOT look nearly as good as the screenshots in the App Store would have you believe. Note that even though you can make everything to precise scale, your real life expectations might not be met. A space that is only 3 feet wide somehow seems much bigger in the app than it does in real life. Warning: this uses a LOT of battery power. My phone starts to feel hot within a minute of using the app in 3D mode. Don't use this when you need to stay fully charged.

Bugs because of update. Hello Anuman, I used this since 2021 and then i liked it a lot more, it ran better, infrequent/no crashes (well on my ipod touch, my phone crashed more for whatever reason). I came back to see that it looked differient. Okay I understand, but it ran more abyssmal than the much better older version and loved to crash and yeah. My devices used are ipod touch 7th gen and iphone se 2nd gen and in older version it ran better. Good app but please fix some bugs and also add new furniture because you barely do it in the furniture department. Thanks for reading.

Emma G. I love her me design! It has almost everything i need to design a home. It even has an option to add other floors. One thing i don’t like about it is that it doesn’t have a basement option so if you want one you have to design everything one floor up. I also wish that they would add more yard designs because the land is flat. I wish it had hill options or rivers or creeks, just something to make it look mote natural. Other than that i would definitely recommend getting the game. I have spent hours designing houses! They have materials to build all sorts of things, the only limit is your imagination!!! 😁

Great Program, would be Greater if..... I really enjoy using this program for the ease of use, the smooth 3D capability and the fact that you can import textures. My only complaint is that the furniture options are really not attractive or trending in any way. I hate to say it, but most of the furniture is very ugly, strangely proportioned or oddly colored, and since I use the program mainly to set up and design interiors, this is very disappointing to me. Don’t get me wrong, the program is really amazing for the price, and better than most of the other design programs, but please let us import from the Trimble Warehouse, or hire an actual furniture designer to create the inventory! I hope the developers read this.

I really wanted to love this app but.... The glitches in the app are too frustrating and really make the app unusable. Even creating the simplest layout is difficult. If you add a room or change a wall length, other measurements and objects are also affected, some of which you don't realize until later. Often times, you have to delete windows, walls, and objects to try and reset dimensions. However, rarely does that fix the problem. Many times, you will have a crooked wall and no amount of tweaking will straighten the wall. This means you cannot add any windows or doors to that particular section. Oh, and forget about adding additional stories! Frequently, I have been unable to change the flooring, even after following the tutorial exactly. I have spent countless hours trying to fix issues just to add a window or make an object line up correctly. It's completely maddening to invest so much time and realize all of your efforts were in vain.

Altitude. love love love this app. i started playing the regular version in middle school, then bought the gold version. and 5 years later i still find myself on it. one thing i do recommend adding in the next update is the ability to change the altitude of all objects, not just certain ones. i think that being able to change the altitude of all of the objects will allow users to be more creative in designs. users could stack objects, or even give an object the illusion that it’s hanging on the wall. just a thought. :))

Love it!!. Iv’e been using this app for about 4 years, and I’ve figured out a lot of the tricks, such as basements, and vaulted ceilings and roofs. If I ever feel like a room is bland, I simply make my own objects using shapes. Investors seen a lot of reviews saying they want roofs, so I will tell you how. You make your house, then go to the very top, where it is flat. Then add “land” and change the color to the top of the roof so it matches. Then go to Geometrics, and choose the triangle on the ground. Move it to the top and size it up. Then go to natural textures and choose the roof texture. Then slide I over, and you have a perfectly good roof. I have a lot more hacks. But this review is getting long. My point is, if you actually take the time to learn how to use this app, you will find it a lot more relaxing. Thank you for reading this 😁

Good and bad (but mostly good). I've loved this app and been using it every day since I got it. I just use it for fun, but still it's an awesome app! The only problem is that if I try to add or delete a wall it doesn't do anything AND it freezes. I closed the app and then went back but the same thing happens when I tried to add or delete a wall. I even turned my phone off and turned it back on. This time when I went into the app, it just closed immediately! I don't know why this is happening but PLEASE try and fix it!!! Thanks😉 I also just wanted to say that aside from the bug, the app is amazing! Whether you're actually designing a house or just using it for fun, I really recommend it! ❤️

Just great!!. Am a huge diy dude so I have always wished i had my own blue prints of my house or some type of floor plan. I have toyed with the idea of complex computer 3D software but I did not want the hassle of dealing with a laptop. This app is awesome, the ease on how you create rooms is perfect! The measuring system is dead on. The fact that you can stretch every single object to what ever size is key. You can also take pictures of your owner wished patterns and apply them anywhere, big help on choosing paint and renovation ideas. I recommend it as top notch!!!

Greatest creativity app. I've been playing this app on and off for about 2 years now and it's been nothing but fun and rewarding. It's so great to have an app that lets me be so creative and imaginative and I always love going back and seeing the final results of my newest projects. The few things I would want improved though is that I would love to be able to make the miscellaneous objects as small as I want (in order to add buttons/divots/etc to other objects if it doesn’t have the right top washer or dryer for example. It took me a week or two to finally be able to use this app fluidly but in the end I'm glad I stuck with it. This is truly a great creative app for both those that are architects and those that just simply want to express themselves through architecture.

Problem. Hello! I love this app and use it all the time to create floor plans for stories so that I have a better mental picture. It is amazing! However, since I have done the newest update I can no longer upload blueprints on my iPad which is what I primarily use. I also found that while I can change texture colors it doesn’t let me then pull that colored texture onto items. This is really a big problem for me because I use blueprints constantly. I checked it on my phone too and it doesn’t work there either. I did also download it on my computer and it allowed me to upload a blueprint but that blueprint didn’t carry over via the cloud to my iPad. This is really frustrating me and would love some help. I tried to use the contact feature but it said that my app wasn’t set up for it so this was all I was able to do. Thanks!

Extremely Useful!. I have used this to set up my home’s floor plan and interior and am then able to experiment with changes I would like to have a contractor make someday. What a great way for me to see various options in my home now. I love being able to download my own fabrics and pictures. I was able to see many choices of rugs I was interested in for a room and could see how each looked. I thought I really liked one until I saw how it looked in the room. I was able to find my perfect choice by using this app. I love it and would give it 5 stars but I can’t add my second floor. I hope someday they will add that option. I also would like to elevate some rooms and sink others.

Single level only - disappointing. Purchased this app as it had a considerable number of excellent reviews. Room layouts and such are pretty easy to use and nicely featured. However, if you want to design anything other than on a flat pad forget it. There don’t seem to be any capabilities to design split level or multi story designs. I live in an area where we are going to be designing exactly that, a split level off the first with a walk out basement below. Don’t seem to be able to do that with this software. It makes viewing elevation profiles meaningless. Perhaps I’m missing something here and if so would be nice to hear from the developer. Way too much effort put in on small nuances such as lots of door designs, furniture, etc. The layout and elevations are the big starting point. The rest is meaningless without those.

Needs a full range color picker. This app is awesome, you hear me, AWESOME!!! I’m a long time user of this app and it’s moved from casual use to a real useful tool for me for my own home reno’s and visual upkeep. I’ve recreated my own home within the app and test any and all renovation ideas, furniture placement and wall color combinations before doing any real world commitments, and that’s been a lifesaver for me. But….. for the first time I’ve found myself really frustrated with a feature of the app that just isn’t as intuitive and that’s the color selector for paints. It really doesn’t allow me to just dial in a color exactly how I want it. it’s a lot of work with really limited results for the hoops you’d have to jump through to try and fine tune a color to your liking. So I’m asking the devs to include a full range spectrum or much more color variations so it’s easier to get the colors we actually want. Everything else is great, just this one fix and it’s golden. Great create-a-floor-plan app!. I am obsessed with this app. You can import a floor plan, build the plan, and walk through it 3D. Or you can build a floor plan from scratch. You can decorate it, and change the color and texture of everything to fit your decor style. This app has been especially valuable because some plans that I loved in 2D, don’t appeal to me when actually built in 3D. The app isn’t difficult to learn, but you do need to watch the short tutorials to learn how to create, edit, and decorate the plans. I was having some trouble with my app, so I sent the designers a message on Facebook. They replied within 24 hrs, and have been great at responding to my questions. They also gave me their email address where to send my plan for their help on it. They seem to be actively working on improving their app. They are open to users’ constructive criticism and suggestions, so if you’re having difficulty on something, I would suggest contacting them directly to give them a chance to help. I have been designing my dream homes, so I hope this app is around for a long time!

Impressive but needs height dimensions or ruler tool. Such a fantastic and easy to learn app. Huge library of objects and precise placement of objects, walls etc. The ability to create your own textures using your own images is really handy. My only gripe after a week of use is that although you’re able to scale the height of objects, there’s no way to tell what the measurement is of that height. A bit odd since that is not the case for length and width measurements and for wall height. This seems to be an ongoing issue for years, from my research. It would also be nice to eventually see a feature where rooms can be created quicker using AR measurements. Overall a definite 4/5.

Detail Oriented Heaven. I’ve fallen in love with this app! It’s easy, it’s intuitive, and it’s pretty realistic too. I’ve used this to plan out real spaces for furniture layouts, tiny houses, mansions, castles, underground homes- you name it! You might have to get a bit creative with the app parameters but now that they’ve added roofing options this is honestly the best home design app ever. Highly recommend! It’s worth the money- I’ve definitely got my time and moneys worth out of it, hands down. I even feel like I’ve gotten better at spatial planning and interior design since I’ve started using it a lot.

Ruined by version 4.4 "upgrade”. This app’s never been great but it was at least useful for visualising things so long as you had way too many hours to dedicate to forcing the software to do basic things. This current upgrade though has rendered it useless. Trying to do the most basic task is now impossible. You can’t select rooms, can’t adjust wall heights, and navigation is like a carnival ride. It still has the biggest problem as always in that the objects and architectural features available are so limited and only include the most basic styles. Still no way to create your own windows or doors or import them from manufacturers. Still can’t change the direction of textures on ceilings or floors. No iron railings, no balconies. And for sure, no 1600 objects as advertised (more like 2-300 and most of those look like cheap IKEA garbage).

HELP!! Please fix and update. Overall this is one of my favorite apps because it has so much to offer and it has so many objects to use for creativity. However, I think an update is needed that offers new staircases as not every house has the same staircase styles, it could also use more indoor and outdoor furniture to decorate. The reason I gave a low rating even though I LOVE this app is because lately it has not been letting me download other projects done by other people and it keeps saying that “internet connection is needed” even though I am connected to the internet. I even changed devices and the same thing happened. If this could please be fixed, I’m sure I would 100% enjoy it again. Thanks!

Really good for planning my projects on the new piece of property I just got. This program is really awesome for an old guy like me that’s not real good with tablets and computers and stuff . I’ve got my iPad Pro and I got this program . I’m sitting on my new piece of property planning out all kinds of buildings and sheds , bushes and trees and cars , it’s just a really neat program for coming up with ideas it’s perfect for anybody to use it so simple. I strongly recommend this to anybody and you might as well please just buy the yellow version the pro think it’s called, I think it was $12 . it was totally worth it . the only thing I haven’t been able to find so far is to put a pitched roof on this thing but I’ll figure that out soon enough trust me you will really enjoy this ,oh and by the way I amA real human who really did buy this this is not a made up you know paid for review or anything I’m just an old stupid gay but I really do like this program so I hope you enjoy

Incomplete. When adding an object to the software, you can specify dimensions of width and depth. You can edit the height, but without any dimensional feedback. You must do it in the 3-D view by eye only. There is no height dimension indicator. This means walkarounds in the 3-D view are approximate only. For instance, when specifying a window, it is possible to set the exact width and the exact distance from the floor to the bottom of the window, but not the window height! Emails about this to customer support increased my frustration. In addition to suggesting I consult the FAQ (which I had already done, of course) it would be advantageous to be able to speak French in order to understand the instructions for follow-up. (I mean actually, not metaphorically!) I’m personally sick of software companies that only provide automated answers in the first response to a technical issue. I wouldn’t be writing if the answers were so obvious! I can’t give a good review to a company that doesn’t mind wasting my time in this way.

Love this! It helped remodel my home.. I have had the app for a long time now. At first it was only so so, but over time they have added many cool things to it. You can now do almost anything. The bad parts are; you can’t change wall height! you can’t make round walls. You can’t change the roof line! You can’t change the landscape it’s just flat. You have a limited selection of items. Some fine it hard to control. It just took a little time for me now I’m ok with it. The good parts; You can do almost any layout you want. Some may take time to do but it’s worth the time! You can customized everything so if they don’t have what you need just change the shape of something that looks right. It works. They just added more floors! This is great before I just made separate files for every floor. If you have trouble with measuring just use a new wall outside of the home. It will auto line up with whatever your making then make the wall transparent. In blueprint mode you can see it but in 3D it will be gone. Great way to help layout when you have lots of walls/ items in a small area.

Very Good Basic Home User / still lacking beyond that.. I purchased the app after not getting a truly robust program with the outdoor gold version hoping that this would round out the program. And from a high level flyover it’s a nice app but when you get down to the details like a domed mulch 6’ circle surrounding trees or split coloring on a wall divided by a chair rail or stone backing behind a counter top stove while the rest of the back splash is tile, Well they are somewhat clunky to realize at best. The resolution of wall alignment jumps multiples of inches rather than single inch or inch fractions. Means deleting walls sometimes just to add them back to square a corner. Or building and adding additional objects (still trying to figure out if this is possible). But over all not a bad app/couple apps especially since I’m now 15 + dollars into it . Keep up the development guys it’s a good app.

More options!!!. I love this app! It’s really great to see a house in 3D view and is the best app I have found for fun designing. But, there not enough options to make different types of houses. I think there should be roofs and an option for slanted ceiling. Also, a way for you to make basements without having to add fake ground with blocks. There should also be landscape options where you can pick a view and hills and mountains. There also needs to be more furniture. Much of the furniture for the living rooms and bedrooms are very basic and not normal looking. There’s not many options for, let’s say, a fluffy couch or more comfortable looking furniture in beds. Everything looks very stiff. And kitchen countertops and cabinets should also have more options. Another things is putting decorations on tables or putting blankets on couches and beds. There’s not many options for decorations which makes the house look very bland. The last couple things are to add crown molding as an option for the rooms and add half walls for a crown molding and the other half a colored wall. There’s also few options for textures and siding for the houses. Last thing is... more windows and doors!!! These are just some things I think need to be added to make this app a 5 star app. Otherwise, I love it and definitely recommend!!

Why can’t I access all my drawing. I just got this app for my Mac/Ipad/iPhone I can’t open any of my drawing from the home design app. It says I can’t open stuff from a new version. Why can’t all your apps work across a brood spectrum. I paid for all of your design apps you would think you could access everything across all apps. I have to change my rating from an original 5 star down to 3 and that’s being generous at this point. But I am sure you don’t care since you already have my money. Once you change the interface to access across all your apps I will change back to a 5 star rating. Also your home design 3D app needs some work with being able to add multiple floors and a roof system.

ADD BASEMENTS. i’ve been using this app for a little over 3 years now and i’m still obsessed with it. i almost always loose track of time while using home design 3d. the gold version is definitely worth its money. i was VERY excited when i saw the multiple floors had been added but i have to admit i was kind of bummed to find that you can not add basements. i feel like having a basement saves space in smaller home builds and also can add a lot of character to a home. i would also love to see more baby/toddler items and an SUV type of car/ minivan for bigger families. i find the app very soothing and stress relieving as someone who tends to get stressed easily over school, friends, etc. you might find at first that it can be hard to get the hang of how to use the app but after a while you do get use to it. ALSO PLEASE ADD MOLDING. i love the way molding looks, especially in houses nowadays the more molding the more modern it looks and the less plain your walls are. overall i’m head over heals for this app and i can’t see myself not using it again.

Good but needs improvements. I really like the app however it is really frustrating that the program forcibly locks on to the nearest wall point when creating rooms. This becomes an issue because you can only zoom in so much and in my case one of our rooms has a interesting wall layout that will not let me replicate it in the app due to a forced snap lock that cannot be toggled. Another update that would be much appreciated is the option to manually input measurements for things and also to change the height off floor on all objects. I really hope these issues are resolved in a future update. If it wasn’t for those inconveniences this would definitely be rated at a 5 star.

Glitchy but fun.. This app is pretty glitchy but i still have been able to design many homes for fun and have still been able to get around them. I wish there were some more things though. Such as: having multiples levels on the same floor, like having the dining room risen by 2 steps because I sometimes design rooms based off of actual ones. Also, i like to design tiny homes, and I wish there was the ability to make lofts. Or!! A SUPER EASY ONE THAT WOULD MAKE THIS APP SO MUCH MORE AMAZING is if they added the ability to change the altitude of ALL objects. So i could make my own “loft” by just rising a bed, shelves, and a flat square (from geometries section) to make boom a loft. I also really love some of the shelf designs but they can only go on the floor! And i want them on the wall!! Also that would enable us to actually PUT things on the desks and tables likes plants and other decor...

Great and reliable app. This is a very satisfactory designer app and I must say that I am impressed! I would totally recommend this app to those who are willing to pay money to unlock all of the accessories and to have unlimited levels for buildings. I also am a little disappointed that there isn’t a way to have an actual roof on your building. You can only have a flat surface with a pattern of a roof. Which isn’t the worst thing in the world compared with all of the other apps out there. But to those willing to have an house designer app that is fun and not addictive, I would totally recommend this! Very satisfactory!

Love love love!. Amazingly useful, beautiful graphics and so user friendly! A few adds I would like to see- round and rectangular tables with table cloths on them, to be able to change the landscape to incorporate hills and ledges, decorative columns, and food/food serving items. Also being able to change the altitude of ANYTHING would add versatility to use objects to represent other things that aren’t available or to use them in creative ways. Overall this app is fantastic and I use it almost daily for both work, personal use and fun/relaxation! Keep up the great work! Thanks!

Inadequate to be used for any actual project.. Great App to simply draw a room, add objects, and view it in 3D with no respect to real world scenario. All goes down hill from there if you really want to do any real world projects. Can’t locate objects you wanted because the library is very limited. You can’t fixed a dimension (such as a wall length) or an object. Objects snap at whatever it wants, not what you want. Moving a wall will move objects. So if you have everything laid out perfect (if you ever get there, especially with the glitches), by moving an object or a wall, you just changed a bunch of stuff. This App has no way of glueing or fixing items so that they don’t get change! Any good program should allow you to do it so you don’t have to take one step forward but three steps backward. Totally not useful for any real world application except being used as a game or to fill time when you have nothing to do. Did I mention about the glitches? For example, adding a wall, adding or moving an object, adding an architecture, or any activity for that matter, will deduct the square footage of your house. There’s nothing to tell you what caused it. To fix it, you have to start deleting walls a section at a time and rebuilding it. But that in itself causes more of the same so you are in trial and error loop until, hopefully, you don’t see the glitch anymore. Just a poor App for real world application.

STEEP learning curve. This app is "ok" for getting a rough view of what you want your property layout to look like. BUT, be warned that there is a steep learning curve if you want to customize dimensions and be very accurate with your work. I spend more time trying to figure out simple adjustments than actually getting anything completed. Every little change seems to lead to another "how to" question. These guys need some serious help with documentation. What documentation exists is very inaccurate - totally useless. There aren't ANY good design/architecture products that exist (IMO). However, this is the least crappy of all of them. Everything becomes a royal pain to adjust, or customize. And, FORGET trying to find anything useful in the documentation. For the folks that say "Great Create-a-floor-plan App" - they must have LOW expectations. It just flat doesn't impress - it's just slightly better than the rest of the competition. BUT, for $5, what do you expect? I'm highly technical & feel like this product is years and $$$$ away from being truly "great". For the layman, non-technical user, I can see them tossing out 5 stars. For the educated, technical user - this is barely 2 stars. Buy & use at risk - you will likely be disappointed. I'm using this on an iPad Pro 12.9 4th generation.

Used for years! Now it crashes. I have used this app for many years. But with the new update as soon as I click to change something or open a layout it crashes! I’ve been using it from 2015 or 2016. I’ve showed and suggested it to my customers. Please fix this bug!!! I can’t get any work done! I use this app to quickly create layouts. Once we have finalized the layout I do an AutoCAD drawing for my builders. We build cabins. Please Help!!! I’ve already sent an email to your help desk. I have not heard back yet!

Bought gold - demanded gold plus. Ok so I love this app from a design standpoint. It’s intuitive for playing around and building structures. HOWEVER, I bought gold a couple of years to get unlimited floors and it was perfect and worked — But now it’s 2021 and they’re demanding I get GOLD PLUS TO HAVE THE SAME FEATURES I ALREADY BOUGHT. If the developer is so pressed for cash then target the new market not people who already bought the app. So they added some new furniture and design objects? I didn’t upgrade the original because of those. I paid for the unlimited floors which defeats the point of paying more in the first place. Not to mention them updating design objects is a choice to give free to existing owners, not to take away content that’s been paid for. Modern day robbery.

I love this app!! It’s so easy to use!!. I’m only in high school, but I love architecture! This app has really helped me see what I can do with a simple floor plan and make it into a unique house!! There are so many different houses you can create and design!! My family is so obsessed with this game to the point where we have a weekly assignment. For instance, this week we had to create a model of our home. On Friday night, we AirPlay our iPads onto our tv and present. I really think this app is wonderful for anyone who has a interest in architecture. It’s also wonderful because it doesn’t make everything super complicated. It is easy to use!

NOT Happy. I recently upgraded from the free version because I enjoyed this app. I spent the 6 or 8 dollars and completed a room with the ability (because of the upgrade) to have access to more objects and textiles and colors. I could change my floor texture and color and same with furniture and chairs and tables. That is exactly what I wanted and paid for. Now I’ve come back after a week or so to finish another room I had started and suddenly the app looks different and there are more features... fine, but when I try to access what I paid for already it doesn’t work. I can no longer get different textures and colors which I already paid for. Apparently now I have to upgrade to the tune of $8.99 IN ORDER TO GET WHAT I ALREADY PAID FOR🤬! Very upset about this! I would give NO STARS if I could. This is a scam and a rip off!

Fun, Easy Game. This game is fun and easy to navigate. There are certain features that can make this an app used by professionals. But if you are using this app for fun, like me, it is a great getaway for anyone who needs a break from their hectic schedule while building and designing a dream house. The 3D feature is super cool to have and the 2D feature makes the app very easy to construct and built. NOTE: If you get the free version, you cannot create new projects. The upgraded version is $7 (I think) and the Gold version is $11 (I think). However, I think it was worth the money if you think it is an app you will use.

What happened to UI?? [UPDATED— I STILL LOVE IT]. My First Reaction to the changes had been: Previous version was very intuitive and a pleasure to use, a 5-star app. I preferred HD3D over more sophisticated program where export was available. Now we need to learn a new user interface that seems like a major step backwards (as other reviewers have said) Please clarify the benefits of the new version so we can assess whether to stay with this or move on. UPDATED: After a day using it I have adjusted to the UI changes and am not having any problems. I like the new ability to group projects by folders, though there’s room for improvement when you want to switch repeatedly between a few preferred projects without going back out to Home. And I hadn’t seen before that they added the ability to EXPORT, which is great!

Draw, add furniture, decorate, that simple. I have had this app for over a year. Have drawn my apartment and before I purchased my furniture I could se how it would fit or look once fully furnished. A simple way to see your project before you spend. All that said, I join some of my fellow Home Design users, there are a few glitches. It could be user error or app glitches, nonetheless less I can live with them as all I have is time to figure it out. Nothing in life is simple. But if you pay for an app, by all means it should be close to perfect. That’s my story, and I am sticking to it. Simper-Fi.....

Interior design. I find Design Plus very helpful for laying out an area / room in my home for either interior design or remodel. I do not find the furniture or finishing details very helpful except for sizing and fitting into a space and some color selection. I would also love to be able to print dimensions and layout on my printers but can only do a screen shot and print that “picture”. The picture will include layout, wall, window and. door placements or changes but no dimensions. For these I need to hire a professional designer who can afford more CAD like quipment. Helpful and Fun; Recommended. I enjoy using this app to design spaces and find the feature that allows you to change the colors of objects very helpful, as well as the wide library of objects. This is a useful app to have if you want re- design your home, because you can import the measurements and play around with the colors and furniture in the space, which helps you develops an overall vision. However, if you are looking into this app for professional reasons, I’m not the person to ask, as I only use this app for recreational means. Another user mentioned that moving a wall will move the furniture; to that, I say: Make sure all your measurements are correct BEFORE adding furniture. Overall, very good app, very good features.

What happened?. I am a professional designer and think this app is great for creating quick basic walk-thrus. Unfortunately I am unable to use the app now, due to a recent update that makes changing the color of textures literally impossible. It was so easy before, the picker allowed you to preview an object in all available colors, which would then be accurately displayed on the plan once selected. Now the only option is a pipette that forces use of standard color pickers, does not show a preview of the item in that color, and once selected represents completely differently on the the plan (for example, what looks like a light green selection will represent as bright fluorescent green on plan). Why on earth was this changed from an efficient working system to one that is completely unusable? Please correct immediately or I will have to use a different program from now on!

Disappointing. Updated version: Can now do various levels, but suddenly can’t put doors in some walls with no explanation as to why not, can’t change doors from LH to RH so doors only seem to open one way. Still can’t default wall thickness, etc. walls seem to. Create themselves without rhyme or reason. I love the idea of this program, but videos do not appear to be duplicatable. So, still disappointing. Original Review: I bought this as an upgrade to the Freebie version. It offers very little more for the money. It still can't draw extra stories, can't control height on cabinets and walls, can't put doors in interior walls unless drawn as another room, which mostly disappears if you try. And worst of all, can't import projects from Freebie version (at least no information as to how, and definitely not obvious if it can). I would NOT recommend spending money on the upgrades, including the Gold version.

Renewed observation and not too Disappointing. I was expecting more and would have been happy to pay more for an overall better product. Oh well, I will try something else and hopefully will get better results. Update- I bumped my rating from 2 star to 4 but this program is still not what I was looking for and $12 is kinda steep at least in the name of iPad apps. It did end up being fun though and a word of caution, this app does have a bit of a learning curve as some of the functions are wonking and not so intuitive. I just bought a new house that has good bones but is a fixer-upper and it was helpful using this app but one is definitely NOT getting blueprints off of it! Not that I was expecting blueprint accuracy but it has a feature to print them out... figured the dev is kidding, right??? Anyhow, I’d say it worth 8 bucks but not 12...

The best app for designing!. I bought this app house designing and those with gardens very long time a go but i see a new feature adding geometric shapes and i really want to put stuff on them not in them like making a garage floor out of a square shape and when placing a car in the garage the car doesn't stay on top but is sinking into the shape. Some objects like garage doors has an option to lift the door but in general it will be more useful when using shapes that all the stuff on them to actually stay on them instead of having to lift it above each one every time. Best house plans app. I’ve used several house plans apps. This one is hands down the easiest and most comprehensive. Very user friendly. As with most apps out there, it has a few glitches. If I are a change to a wall in one room it might deduct another room from the square footage. Fixing this is easy enough but it would be nice to not have to. Another missing feature is to be able to separate textures and finishes on an open floor plan. Also to be able to change the colors of textures provided. Even colors I select it will auto tint or light/dark change. If I want something light I want it light. But it will not take the lightness or darkness of shades I select. Need to add dining table and chair options, eating bar and more wet bar options. Also, need 90 degree cabinet options. Having said all that, I’m very impressed with the options available.

For rough drafts of what you are building.. I wish there where and option to model furniture than add to the list of objects. I also wish because I am designing with shipping containers that there were the three sizes of containers that could be sliced and moved to the side in the a projects objects menu to support the reuse of materials for greener building. I dont know what I paid for this yet because it was so G.D. Annoying to use if you dont pay for it I just clicked buy. I will prob use this app for a long time. I would also like to add a basement they are required in Minnesota and multi levels would be nice.

Great App. This is not intended to be an app for professional use. I have used it to redesign and remodel my house. I also used it to reconfigure a library. There is a slight learning curve, but if you take your time, it is very useful. You are able to adjust wall widths and change dimensions. You can have snap-to turned on or off. If you zoom in, it is easier to resize something in small increments. Sometimes when i think i hit a glitch or the app wont let me do something, I make a necessary change, and everything works.

Great but needs improvement. I have been playing with this app for 24 hours. I had this urge to draw my dream home so I got this $9 app and got to the task. Took me awhile to figure it out, especially the walls/rooms and what not. I think I get it now. Even if the app has stairs, you can’t draw floors or basement (would need a separate land for each floor.) You should be able to add floors, even sims can do that. Needs more decor options. Perhaps some guidance about average room sizes to help make the model closer to reality (especially for those of us who are not architects or interior designers). Besides that, great app, highly recommend, love the 3D option, hope it looked even more real!

Excellent tool to brainstorm. I’ve been using it for a few years now on 3 different renovations. I’d consider myself a novice designer. This has saved me a ton of money because I’ve been able to explore, on my own so many different ways a renovation could go before meeting with a contractor when the big money starts being spent. The 3D walkthrough portion is awesome and so helpful in visualizing. There’s a bit of a learning curve and it’s not perfect but I’ve tried pretty much every app like it and I keep coming back to homedesign3d gold. IF you’re doing a renovation this is a no-brained bargain to rough out your ideas, considering how much you’re about to spend to get the work actually done by contractors.

Overall good. Most perfect game for designing houses ever now that you can add multiple floors!! I love it so much!! Only problem is that sometimes the floor glitches up when in 3D mode, but other than that amazing! 😁

LOVE LOVE LOVE. This is my favourite app, I’ve been using it for probably 8+ years! I love interior design and this app allows me to be creative. I would highly suggest new objects and textures added somewhat regularly to allow flexibility in design this is my biggest request. I’d also enjoy if toggle movement was quicker and less glitches when building levels / rooms.

Pretty good.... Cool app with heaps of potential but could be a better help section and there's not really much tutorial help just have to figure it out as you go. Shifting walls is tricky once furniture is placed. Enjoyable still though

Defective Plus version.. Against my better judgement, I paid the extra for the plus version so I could get the roof option. After the upgrade, the app has now distributed rooms on a single story floor plan across multiple floors. This update has completely corrupted a project that has taken me ages to create. Seems roofs only work on new projects, not old ones created with an old version. On a single story floor plan, I now have 3 extra floors above it, each with rooms that should be on the ground level. In 2D mode, if I insert furniture on the ground floor, it goes to the imaginary 4th floor. I also have blinds sitting on the ground that cannot be raised to window height again, and all my custom colours have reverted back to default. In a new project, things get really interesting ..... windows and doors can be installed on east/west walls only when in 2D and some install halfway up the wall. The direction windows and doors open can no longer be changed in this version. Windows inserted on the ground floor install in an attic I never created. There’s no way to fix this, it’s a mess and it’s totally unusable. Really, really annoyed. This is the last straw, I’m looking for another app.

Great but. Great app, really precise and able to make awesome 3d plans of a real house. I love it! However, for it to be perfect, i’d like to be able to : - put elevation to the terrain, - add a second story, - make side view with roof etc. - make precise angles to walls when not 90degrees - set a standard thickness for walls when starting a project - change sun orientation depending of hemisphere (sun runs north in southern hemisphere) - not go through walls when going in “visit” mode - create automatically a visit video

Great App! But.... I have spent hours creating home plans. Love it. But with the new roof update, the Altitude slider won’t move and I can’t lift the roof off the ground onto the house :( Please help!

Fantastic way to prepare for house moves!. We move house frequently due to work, and every time we have only a floor plan available of our future house. I create that in the app and then put our furniture in it to play with the layout, so on moving day I know exactly where it will all work best!

Not worth your money. I spent $13 dollars on the game for it not to open, my friend brought it and it worked fine but for me it wouldn’t open and kept shutting down

What about the blue home design? Still great app. This is a great app but it’s really annoying of how much it costs and a couple of years ago there was a blue app that cost less than this one. But this one is awesome. 😄😃😀 I’d love it if there were regular updates with more modern furniture. But overall I really love this app!

I am obsessed!!!!!!!!. This is the best game I ever downloaded, it is reasonably priced and is so much better than the free version. All of the furniture is availiable and unlocked, unlike the free version; you can save all of your designs and be working on multiple designs at once. You can build a house with up to three floors and choose the stairs. It would make the app better if you could customise your humans and animals and when you upload and image to add to your house it showed the whole image not just a little bit of the image. With this game the only limit is imagination, you can build houses and buildings of any shape and size and decorate your project with almost anything. Before I payed six dollars for this app I was worried because I was really hoping it would save my designs and I didnt want to pay the money only to get a game that wont save my designs. Overall I give this app five stars out of five because you can save and share and the unlimited interior and exterior options.

Still lacking crucial features. After having this app for over a year, there’s still some crucial features missing even with the gold version. Please add the roof feature! Seriously, what’s a house without a roof??? Need more variety of plants and furniture. There hasn’t been new items for ages. What’s the point of paying for the gold version if you don’t get new items every now and then... lastly, as many others have stated - make all items have the elevation option.

Fantastic little app. Great app - easy to use, really easy to use. Have used Autocad, and found this app to be just as good for putting together your design so you have the ability to view it in 2D and 3D. Thoroughly recommend it.

Awesome. Awesome app, I love it, so much fun. Would be good if I can add in window sizes, door sizes and change item sizes eg, kitchen cabinets sizes etc and if you can also design appliances that look a lot like the ones available like Westinghouse, Smeg, Bosh etc. other than that loads of fun

Pools and Curved Walls. Pools - It would be nice to be able to have more variety in pools or be able to draw your own design for one (like the pool in the opening screen of the outdoor design, I can send a photos if you need more understanding) and resizing make most designs look funny, especially when it has a ladder. Curved Walls - possibly be able to make curved walls?

Pretty good but. Have used this app for a while and I do like it’s simplicity. It’s great for setting out layouts and creating spaces. The only issues I have is it’s not setup for Southern Hemispheres sun tracking and it lacks some more modern fixtures is timber framed glazed doors and louvre windows. In all though a great tool!

Lamps, ceiling lights and fans, and doors. I love this app it is so so useful! I have been using it for years but I have been talking with a few people who have also got the app and they think if you were to add and update where if you add a light switch for the light you install to turn it off and on to add lighting in the home as some room are quite dark and doing the same with the doors being able to just press the door and the door will open. Maybe adding more doors, windows, fridges ect. Hopefully you guys see this. Thank you.

No customer care. Paid for 'Gold' purchase through upgrade , then clicked refresh - software did not upgrade to gold edition. Tried re-installing . Got billed twice for the same. Emailed developers. No reply for more than a month. Apple App Store will not care and is not responsible - they say! Have complained to the bank and waiting. Lookout!

I love this app. This app is awesome and I use it all the time I love houses and architecture.. it has also been perfect for helping me in my own house renovations. But it really needs more plant choices for both indoors and out. As well as some new furniture content.

slanted/diagonal objects. this is a great app and i’m excited to see what’s coming next but i’d like to suggest slanted or diagonal objects as it would open many creative opportunities also triangular windows maybe? for higher up on the walls and where they connect to the ceiling?

Latest Update. The latest update isn’t letting me drag objects (furniture) from the menu to the level I’m working on but instead the level above it.

Need roofs and more furniture. Hey guys! This app is amazing. I have a few issues though. In order to make it feel like a real house it kinda needs to have roofs. It annoys me how this game has been around for a while and you still haven’t realised that there is no roofs. I also think that you need to update this app more often, I am always getting sick of the furniture because it doesn’t change. You need to have more frequent updates such as maybe every month or so. I also get really bored whilst playing for a while as it is hard to use. Other than that I like how I managed to turn walls into football posts and a bouncy ball into a footy ball! I like how you can change the shape and size of your products ! Please also make sure you can add plants to shelf’s because the plants and stuff like that can only go on the ground !

Fantastic app but the people need to reflect all races, needs roofs, and drag multi select.. Absolutely love this app but a real downer is that the people in the app do not reflect all people represented in the world. At least create a feature where you can change the skin tone and customize the people to look like different ethnicities. Hope it was a simple oversight but a bit unfortunate to have an app like this that only has white people and one slightly Asian looking person. Also needs more variety of people; men, women, older and younger etc. This app is so useful for quick mock ups and demonstrations for clients and what really gives it life is putting people in there that reflect the walk of life of the people you are showing a design to. Next big request is a roof feature, where you can customize roof layout as that does dramatically have an effect on the inside of the room. Lastly, a multi-select feature that does not require you to individually tap on every object. More like a touch and drag where you can highlight the whole section of items in a room and move them accordingly.

Up stairs and kitchen. I love this game but I would really like to have an upstairs not just stairs that you can't use and some new kitchen counters but otherwise I love this game

Great concept. This is fantastic for designing your home and garden, BUT, there needs to be better options for garden plants, I mean, who wants to have to use the nice potted ones all the time to create a nice green colourful garden. Also, there is few fence options, seriously, that’s just crazy. All in all I think more needs to go into this to make it more realistic, plus all objects should have an elevation option, I’ve gone to create a nice terraced sitting area, but the furniture can’t be raised to the same height. There is some very boring choices for indoor lighting and fans. And like others have said WHATS WITH HAVING NO ROOFS.? You make an app to seem more realistic, but you never thought to create different types of roofs, the roof is what gives a house that finished look, it plays a huge part in the overall design of the house. Outdoors, there should be options for curved land, we like to have curved gardens, paths and driveways. I went to the gold version because it was supposed to be better. Please address these issues. Also, why are there no options for glass as a texture? It’s one of those things you really need in a house. My latest project won’t even let me view it in 3D, it just closes the app, do you have a limit on how many projects you can have?

Needs more. Needs more items/stuff. I love designing my own house, but I does need more items, and an option to make a split level. Or to raise the floor.. Here a list of things that I think it needs more of Kid lockers, better windows and doors. More children items. More bathroom items like different showers. (Open) needs more desk/office stuff too. I upgraded because you said it had more.

Easy to navigate and design. Some of the furniture and items are very American in styling , however this app gives the novice great way to create a basic plan within hours and would happily recommend.

Review. This game is by far the best house design apps, although I think more should be added for example flowers and decorations more regually.

Add more people. Hi guys, I love your game and could spend hours playing on it if I could! The graphics are FANTASTIC but I am VERY upset about the people in the HD3D family section thingy. I am building a boarding school for girls and there is only ONE child that is a girl!!!!!!!!!! You NEED to add around 10 more girls that are children and 10 more boys to get my satisfaction and a 5 star rating! ALSO add people in a sitting position so that you can place them on furniture and add people in a laying position to add them on beds!!! Please also add heaps more pets and THEN you will get a 5 star rating from me and I will tell EVERYONE I know about this finally AMAZING APP!!!!!

Glitchy. I enjoy using the app but I find it glitchy and then it shuts down. It’s quite frustrating.

Great game. Great game but maybe when u select visit, that it’s like a virtual house; you tap on the doors to open them, you can actually WALK up the stairs and finally, not walk thru the walls... it’s a bit annoying. Other than that I love it!😃😀😁😄😀

Decent. Decent ruff draft to start off with. Needs some tweaking. Also needs trimming and base boards and roof for outside look added in to get a good visual. Needs to add in option for making a slightly higher or lower lvl, like a step or two up into rooms. More stair options ext.

Good start!. It will help if there are more tutorials on how to modify rooms. It will be especially helpful if it allow us to simply enter the room dimension as oppose to having to drag it to the correct dimension. Sometimes I find it hard to zoom in and out of the plan. It will also help if it let us create text box to add comments on the plan itself.

Enjoying this app even with the glitches. The new fixes are good but more instructions are needed for second floor expansion. Very annoying that while constructing multiple floors, it is very easy to punch a hole between floors, when it wasn’t what was originally intended. It would be nice if the accessories were more current today home fashions. Some of the tiles and furniture are woefully dated. When will there be more updates to kitchen fittings?

Furniture. There aren’t enough furniture options. Also the furniture that is available in the app is quite ugly. Another problem i have with the app is that there aren’t enough landscaping greenery.

Good Update. Love the new update. But not enough minimal, industrial, and vintage furnitures and items. Hoping to have them on the next update. Also found an issue about the new base cabinets. When they are put together, it doesnt look like a one whole countertop because the sides of the base cabinets are not straight. Hope you fix this problems because I love the new designs.

Awful. I thought this would be a neat app however, all it does is crash and the app closes all by itself. No amount of resetting the app or device makes a difference. Definitely not worth the money paid.

Keeps crashing. I bought this years ago and it used to work well, if limited. The updates have improved it but the latest update is so insanely buggy it crashes constantly. Not sure what they did, but they need to go back to last version.

Decent but.... The features are decent but I am frustrated because i was working on my project on my phone and then tried moving to my iPad but it would not open on my iPad! On my phone I cannot seem to print my project which was why I was trying to open on iPad (because iPad will let me print). On iPad for some reason I can only do one level houses... it will not give me the option to add extra floor at all! Would be nice if the programs were the same. :(

Great App!. A little quirky here and there (walls can be a challenge) but still well worth the effort to learn to use it. I have plans for updating the mid-century condo I just bought and it will be enormously helpful to be able to show a contractor exactly what I have in mind. The iPad version is far superior to the desktop version. Hopefully a future version will allow users to record video walk throughs.

Great App. I love this app. I can make multiple plans without having to delete one. I give it five starts because it's so easy to use. Only negative thing I have to say about it is I wish you could be able to build on top of the first floor. Also, being able to build your own porch rather than the one that you use because then you the door isn't lined up with the porch. That's the only thing I can think of that I would like to see in the future. But this app is amazing!

Love it, a few suggestions. I have this app, along with the unlimited floors add-on, and I love it. Though right now I am building a city on this and have a few things you guys need to add on. P.S: Anyone who reads this and wants these suggestions, copy them down on your review, please, so that more people can realize we should have these things on the app. 1- Elevator I know you can’t make it move, but at least just so you can, you know, like, on the bottom floor have the elevator closed, and then on the next floor have it open. 2- More textures Sorry, but right now the textures are a bit limited. One question also fav game. In the next update please make more houses and more furniture please also I love this game I’m on it everyday but there is only one problem I’ve run into is a house that I started from scratch got deleted last week randomly is there anyway to get it back it was so good and it just deleted randomly plz let me know😊

Not very professionally done. I am impressed with the level of detail on the floor plans. And I like that a single wall can be added as well as the wall thickness can be changed. That is the entire list of pro’s. The cons are: There does not seem to be any organization and everything is all jumbled together. For example, under kitchen, it should list, walls, bases, appliances, etc ... and then show the available choices under each. When increasing the ceiling height, there is a cheesy horizontal seam that appears. Also the walls show seams and not one fluid wall. Very odd the way you must use the arrows to resize instead of allowing you to also enter in dimensions Very few accessories and options to pick from. Finished product looks very cartoonish. Makes you pay for the app to save your work and to add floors. TapGlance app is for free. Very professional, well organized, can add floors and has many more options available. Would highly recommend this app instead.

Great start. Easy to use right out of the gate. Great tutorials. Would like it to track construction supplies needed for building main floor walls roof etc for real life build. Also can’t force door to open from the inside and can’t figure out why, might be helpful to include a ballon stating why. I’d like to see more older style furniture and appliances as we are building and using current furnishings. I like that we can upload pictures. Can’t wait for a wider variety. Keep making it better!

Used to love it. This app, ever since I downloaded it, has had some issues, but I could find ways around the issues and it was fine. However, with the new update, there have been added issues that are too hard to work with. First issue- it will not let me put a door on an interior room! It is very frustrating and I’ve tried everything to make it work. Second issue- it no longer shows measurements for when I’m putting in windows or doors. I have no clue how much space is in between the windows so I I just have to eyeball it. Third issue- the new roofing is not the most user friendly Fourth issue- if I’m adding land to create a porch, it won’t let me put windows on the walls around it Fifth issue- several of the things on my pre-update homes have now been put askew and it won’t let me fix them Please solve these issues because I love this app, but it’s so frustrating to use now!

Glitches. I absolutely love this app but lately I will try to select an object say to delete it, then it exists the app and takes me back to my phone’s Home Screen. Today I put a person in to decide how high I should put a mirror, and whenever I tried to select the person to delete it I would get sent to my Home Screen. I turned my iPad off, cleared my recent apps and even checked if an update was available but there was no update and it is STILL crashing. I didn’t pay $30 for this app to constantly crash.

Very Good, but could be Better. Easy to learn, easy to use. They need to add more objects such as: Home gym items. Game room items like billiard tables, ping pong tables, etc. Mechanical room items like furnaces. Need more selection of cabinets, sinks, furniture, etc., and items should be grouped into sets. For example, a matching set of sofas and chairs that could be grouped in a room. Overall, the library of objects needs to be larger with more selection to choose from.

Awesome!!. I create all my renovations in this program. Most people have a hard time visualizing a concept on paper. With this, it’s changes the playing field! Intuitive and easy to use (with a learning curve). Wish it had a bit more capabilities and options, but they keep updating/adding new stuff all the time for free. Highly recommend

Wonderful app. I love this app. I have been using it for a really long time and I’ve decorated and designed many homes and rearranged furniture and everything on this app to use in my own home. I love it. There are a few things I’d change and that would probably be to have a little more variety of vehicles and maybe some mechanic shop stuff but other than that I really love this app a lot.

Love love love this app. I absolutely love this app. I use it daily in my design firm. It is so quick and easy and makes interacting with the client much better when I can move walls, change colors, add flooring etc. through video calls sharing my screen. The client truly feels involved in the design process. It is enough for me to send to my architects so they can get going on the formal design. I do wish it had better measurements, land grades, basements and roofs. Please keep updating and adding.

Love this!! But one issue. I love this app and I would highly recommend it for both people that just like design or people that really do want to use it in a real life situation. However, I'm having some issues because I need storage space and the app won't let me delete any of my textures that I've put into the app. Could someone possibly help me with this?

Amazing But A Few Ideas. Hi! I have played this game since March, and I have received an idea from someone! In the plant’s option, can there be Ivy growing up the walls? And a character creator? In the character creator can there be an option to make your character sit down, lay down, touch things, or jump, and make them higher or lower? I love this app and I am still a child! In fact, this makes me want to be an interior designer! Hope this helps!

Crap. Hey dev’s, don’t respond with your cookie cutter auto response “thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry…our developers…contact support, blah blah blah” no, enough of that crap…many of us paid good money and have been using this app for several years. I’m sure many of us have contacted your support (I definitely have, a few times) and have gotten nowhere with it. The app wasn’t too terrible before this last update.. now it crashes ALL THE TIME, LITERALLY NONSTOP!! What’s REALLY going on, where are the REAL responses to your customers, where is the REAL fix and where are the REAL answers???

Enjoy it, but wow the glitches!. I have had this app for several years now and have enjoyed using it. I will say there though that there are many glitches that pop up randomly! Too many to be able to use this as a professional app in my opinion. While I have used plans that I designed with this app for contractors to build with, it needs some work. One of the things that it does not do well, is printing in a full page format. I end up having to screen shot a picture and enlarge it or text it so it can be enlarged, rather than being able to print or email it. There are other things it does randomly that can be very irritating when you’re in the middle of designing a house plan. So while I enjoy using this app, and I like the non complexity of it, I consider it more of a hobby app, rather than some of the architectural programs I have purchased to use more professionally. Thank you!

Way to Difficult. So difficult to use, it’s worthless. It’s not as good as a Home design program I bought decades ago. I just wanted to copy a floor plan for our new home so I could figure out what furniture I needed where. After several weeks I don’t even have an accurate plan for the first floor, and the 1600 pieces of furniture didn’t seem to include many items I was looking for. I have decades of experience as a graphic artist using Corel, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. with no problem. This program is incredibly difficult to use. And it doesn’t work with Apple Pencil, so you have to draw with your fingers!!!

Good app, could be better though.. This app is really good and very easy to use. Really my only gripe about it is that you cannot build a second floor onto the first, so if you want to make another level you have to do it on a different project page. But then you can’t see the house as a whole from the 3D mode. It would also be nice if you could create a basement, and be able to raise the first floor up from the ground level, for those who have steps up to there front or back doors.

Good basic App with 3D visualization. For under $10 this app is worth it. Allows you to get a good understanding of how your planned house would look with surrounding structures in 2D but more importantly in 3D. You can visualize what you would see outside your windows in each room. What is sorely lacks is s basement capability - obviously too complex for the simple program. It also would be nice to "fix" your property boundaries once plotted. The program can easily create rooms, but then lack the ability to rotate the room on the property - you are restricted to moving the room backwards, forwards and to either side (at 90'). Good but basic program.

DIY like a professional!. Ever wonder what your house would look like if you removed a few poorly placed walls? Do you imagine the kitchen of your dreams but have a hard time describing it to your spouse? Look no farther, this app has it all! You can build your own blueprints or 3D models. The options are literally endless. Don't waste your money on interior decorators or high priced software programs. This app is all you need and it's cheap. The only negative is you will spend hours upon hours designing!

LOVE this BUT….. I love this game so much, nothing compares to the freedom given to utilize designing a space. The issue i have with it is that it glitches all the time. So then i get frustrated with it. That is the most annoying part when you pay money for the upgrades and all and the app glitches out so you can’t full enjoy it. However this is one of the greatest apps I’ve ever used and i love love love it!!

Easy to use and very powerful. I ended up trying several apps like this for home design. I use this primarily for renovation projects and this app allowed me to collaborate with the people who's homes I was working on. It has all the functionality we needed to do renovation plans which is great but the best things about it is it's intuitive and easy to figure out. As far as I'm concerned, that's what sets it apart from other apps. All the functionality in the world isn't worth anything if it's too difficult to use. Good app.

Ummm... What about a roof or ceiling?. I get it that this isn’t a “Pro” program, but seriously, having to add a mock second floor just so that you can have a ceiling is pretty ridiculous and there is no option for a roof... which basically makes your rooms... a fence. Even your program icon shows a roof, but there is no option for a ceiling or roof. I wish I had realized this before purchasing because I would have kept shopping.

I am only 11 and I see change that are needed to be done. Over all the is amazing and I only use it for fun. I bought this app with my own money because I saw HGTV people using it.I kind of am really interested in designing house so I got it, but I am pretty mad when I am in the middle of a project and it glitches you back to your home screen. Whenever I switch to 3d this happens and it is really annoying. Beside the bug fixes that need to be done over all I like it.

Crashed my ipad…. Description looks great. However, Once i started to use it - it started to crash my iphone and my ipad. it didn’t work properly on my iphone, it crashed my ipad that it doesn’t turn on anymore (i will have to take it to service to see if Apple is able to restore it, however I would loose all my personal data on that iPad and probably money to either fix it or buy a new one.. ). initially i was going to use it on pc (it had an option to download to pc) however after the purchase it appeared that I cannot use that app version on pc.. ridiculous.. and very upsetting..

Double charged! Please respond!. Developers: I contacted you via ticket number 5477. I attached the receipt showing your double charge. Your robotic response said to "see the FAQ". Please contact me and refund the double charge! Buyers beware. This company is impossible to receive support from. Worse, if you do open a support ticket, the support site uses the FRENCH LANGUAGE when you are reading their robotic response! (The response is in English, but everything else on the site is French, good luck navigating) The software is functional and fun to play with if you're deciding on layouts. But is pretty buggy. I would recommend using a computer based software if you don't want to waste your time.

Good app to visualize home. Once you get the hang of it, this is a very good app to visualize your home in 3D and to work with textures, floors, furniture. It’s not always intuitive, but works well. Choice of furniture is pretty good even if still limited. Nice also that it’s not hard linked to a specific brand as some apps are. Seems strange there is no ‘decking’ including — lots of outside things and plants, but not an option for decking or outside stairs...I used tatami for the deck — a little strange but it works.

Does what it promises. App allows you to "see" your house design in 3D, using a range of common elements. Your design will likely not reflect 100% of your reality, especially if you have custom items, but you should be able to get reasonably close. The scaling feature allows you to change the size of any item; you can also add colours or textures to simulate your ideas.

Doesn’t Work For Every Layout. If your home has walls that are offset, doors that are wider or narrower than “normal”, have unique sized openings, or have parallel running walls at different lengths for the same room, this app won’t work. You have to fudge the lengths, etc because the app wants to force the lengths to be the same, or the walls to align. I wish I hadn’t paid for it. The app shouldn’t assume that you meant to make the walls the same length and auto adjust the length. The sizes of the windows and doors should be completely customizable. My home isn’t a cookie cutter home. This app can’t handle homes that aren’t cookie cutter homes.

Can’t save to Dropbox. Would love to rate this application higher, but the Dropbox save feature doesn’t work. After pouring over 150 hours into a project, I unfortunately need to bring my iPad in for repair and it will have to be wiped... When I try to save to Dropbox, the application made a folder for house design, but failed to save the documents in that folder, and shows a white blank box whenever I reach what I assume to be the next step of the permissions part of saving to Dropbox. I’m really unsure what to do, and really disappointed. Please let me know if there is something I can do so I don’t loose all my hard work!

Don’t buy unless you wear microscopes over your eyes. How do I get a refund? I bought ‘Gold’ because I read reviews that the free version had severe limitations and even restricted use of some features. When I tried to draw a simple orthographic rectangular room, I could not see the dimension indicators and there is no way to make that font larger. Even expanding the drawing doesn’t expand the dimension indicators. I literally had to use the magnifier on my iPhone to read them. Trying to navigate the tool bar was the same. Had to use iPhone magnifier in one hand and iPencil in the other. That was just too much.

Really fun but some improvements if possible. I absolutely love the game and think it is really fun but surely more furniture options should be included? It would be nicer if it was a little bit more like the sims. Also, what about second floors??? What's the point of having stairs if u can't go upstairs?? Please create that option. Other than those things, this game is amazing!! Love it!

Nope. Some of us want to design a real room with objects similar to what we have or want to buy. If you are looking for an app that does exactly that, ... this is not the app you are looking for. Move along, move along. First off, this app offers zero free form objects. Ridiculous. Second, you CAN enter the room, window, and door dimensions... but, you are NOT able to enter dimensions/measurements for objects/furniture, you just have to eyeball it. That's nonsense. Third, you are unable to raise/lower or rotate preset objects, they are anchored. Which is really frustrating when the app doesn't have some similar preset object to your piece of furniture or shelf. This app is a waste of money for me. I am very disappointed.

The Ghosts Of Projects Past. I love this app! I have been using it for years to design houses and decorate them! There is one problem though... Whenever I delete something, it goes away but if I leave the app and go back in all the projects I just deleted are back again! I’ve even tried deleting them one at a time but it still doesn’t work. I wonder if it’s just my device or if other people are having the same problem? Please help!

Really good design app. I tried a few other home floor plan apps and none of them were designed as well as this one. Easy to use and has all of the basic tools needed to help you design or remodel your home. It doesn’t do everything the professional design software does but I didn’t pay hundreds of dollars for this app either. ;-)

Great program. Love this app. Had issues with the last version crashing often. So glad it has been fixed! UPDATE: Latest bug fixes worked (5.1)! Only problems remaining are the long load time and missing textures in previous builds. Clocked load time on 1 project was 2 minutes 43 seconds. Not sure why when they loaded very quickly before v5.0. Updated by 1 star :-)

Amazing 😉. I have had this game since I was 11 years old and I have updated it several times and it just gets better and better. Although I wished they had lay outs of different houses that you could put your own touch to it but I do like how they give u houses to re design and yada yada. One this I absolutely HATE it when you do build your own houses the freaking floors glitch no matter what you do and when u try to put a room in when the floor is glitching u can’t put a room in it shifts it over.!!!!! So freaking annoying

Simple and to the point. There is no way to make a second floor but if you understand actual blueprint layouts you don't need to have it cartooned out for you to get the point. Do the correct measurements and placements of walls and stairwells and you'll be fine. Obviously you would never try to make an actual blue print on an iPad or phone app, if you are you're in idiot. This is perfect for a rough rough draft of a plan you have in your head or even just a stress relief.

Love/Hate. I really want to love this program, but it is so infuriating at times. What I can dry out on a piece of graph paper in 10 minutes takes me two hours to do in this app … or longer! It looks beautiful when it’s finished, and it looks very professional. But the lack of control on simple things such as delineating texture areas, and making walls the length you need them without breaking into pieces or snapping properly in place, and flipping doors when there is room but the app won’t let ... there are a lot of quirks. It needs a little dumbing down ...

Works in a very simplistic manner. If you want to draw simple plans with dimensions that match the seemingly unchangeable snap then this might work for you. I found it very frustrating to attempt to trace a plan as the snap snapped whether it was on or off, preventing an accurate trace. Have a set of stairs with an opening below. Bzzzt. No can do. Want accurate wall thicknesses for US dimensioned lumber? Bzzzt. No can do. On.y full inch increments allowed. Want to change the default wall thickness instead of drawing a wall, then deselecting it then using a slider to change the thickness? Bzzzzt. No can do. All objects appear resizeable, but they change from the center, making positioning and sizing a many many step iterative process. Also seems to be no way to define size other than dragging sliders on the object. Very time-wasting to size and position. Overall, probably ok for goofing around, but not usable for anything real

Not What It Used To Be. I love this app! I used to mess around with it everyday. I was happy that I had the PRO GOLD Version. Now they keep adding updates. Things start to work differently. Dang! I just started using it again and I’m not sure if it’s so “PRO” anymore. It lags and crashes. Things start to disappear on me. I spent almost an hour making a hotel, and It crashes and erases it. How is this PRO?! Not worth the price! Please fix and make it how it used to be!😢😠

One problem. I’ve been playing this game for years and I still adore it, but there is one problem, after I use it for a maybe a week or a few days, the walls don’t line up on their own. The furniture is able to collide with one another. The furniture won’t stop at the walls, they will just go through like couches, and tables, and even wall decorations will go through the wall. It may be glitch but to get it to stop you have to re set the app (delete and download again and lose all progress) I paid for the gold version, I deserve better than this. If the creator happens to see this. Please try to fix this problem

Fun but not practical. It’s fun to seen your designs in 3D. It’s very frustrating to try and make rooms exact sizes. You need to drag the wall to the correct size. You end up with rooms that are 19 ft 2 inches. Then have to spend five minutes trying to fix the dimensions. It would be so much better to type room sizes in. Also it would be great to be able to use the pencil. Lastly one of the most prominent “features” is a button that try’s to up-sell a model of your project. I like that it is an option, but I don’t need a button that is so easy to accidentally press especially, when I have to scroll through 5 more screens to exit the sales pitch.

Needs adjustments. Okay don’t get me wrong this game is awsome. But it needs some adjustments. For example an infant map to build on, trampoline decorations, basements, street decor, more cars and animal, (I’m building a zoo soooooo.... zoo animals would be awesome) better viewing, as like your walking around, it’s the little things that need to be fixed. Also when you add objects or shapes and you make them bigger, when you add a design or texture it shouldn’t stretch the texture

Great app. This is a great app for what it’s designed for. It is truly developed for those of us who are not school trained designers and or architects but have ideas and know what we would like to see in our own designs. This program gives you the ability to put your visions on paper without killing yourself tying to learn a $1000 professional program, well done, and thanks!

Kludgey. Seems kludgey - Might cross some lines using German slang to describe a French product but maybe that will get someone’s attention. Interface won’t let you specify exact dimensions, small and rigid set of items available, and support site seems to only be in the french language. If you are going to make an app available to multiple countries then I would suggest you support those countries in their native language. Price is cheap compared to other subscription based apps, so maybe you get what you pay for? Overall quite disappointed in what this app seems to deliver. Two stars because it can at a minimum do the maths correctly.

No precision. I am trying to be as exact as possible but I can't because when I try to create a wall or a room in a specific size it may move when I lift my finger and it has no option to manually enter the length of the wall. You would think that should be a basic feature but it isn't. Without that feature I don't see the amount paid as worth it. If I am using the app to plan layout of certain stuff I need to be precise at times. Basically it works if you don't care if you are inches or feet wrong in your measurements.

Super useful for visual reference but needs improvement. I really like the ability to rotate objects, a couple of stand alone fans, light switches and a few faucets(at least one wall mounted) would be fabulous. Also sometimes the walls become glitchy(adds a pivet point to the original wall)if you add an adjacent wall and may remove floor if wall is removed. Also noticed that if you adjust a custom rooms height it splits that room into two floors. And finally creating sloped ceilings and a half moon window would really be a big help to me.
