Love t. Could use more things in objects

Really good. It's another great architecture app

Error can’t parse project. I don’t know what it means. But outdoor home design 3D won’t let me open any of my already created projects from home design 3D. Also when I open up Dropbox in this app all that shows up is a blank box. I know I exported my projects to Dropbox.

Good app. As others have said it has a learning curve.

Waste of Money. Very hard, if not impossible to use. Have a lot of experience with Tapglance which the HD3D developers should reference. Have given up.

Good but.... This is an AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME design app. It is great!! But I have a few requests for the developers. 1. First, please please PLEASE add more indoor decor. I know it says Garden and Outdoor in the title, but at least add a toilet and a prettier sink. Also, add a bed please!!! Just because it’s called “outdoor” doesn’t mean we don’t want indoor decor as well! 2. Add more people. It would be great if you could add a lot more people, and a lot more poses. What about a seated pose? Or a lying down pose? It would be great! I’ll raise your rating if you do this!!! Thx!!!

How come this app have a 4.1 star? It’s a scam. This app is worst than a blank drawing pad. It won’t give you any tool to do anything right. Wasting time and money

Can't parse HD3D project. My projects from the HD3D home app show up in the my projects area, but if I click on open all I get is an error message: Can't parse project.

Same as Home Design. There’s no added Features or Objects from the full version of Home Design. Waste of a dollar.

Very Poor "User Guide" and Missing Textures. It seems like a fairly powerful consumer design tool but the brief built-in user guide is virtually worthless. There is, supposedly, a "texture" option that allows the user to add a wide variety of surfaces to areas in the design. However, the textures option doesn't show on my menu (the user guide says to click on the pencil to see the textures..... What/where is the pencil???) Without that you can't fill in an area with grass, add pavement to a driveway, add deck boards to a deck or fill in a paver patio. This app needs work - or at least a useful integrated help feature. If I could figure out how to use the features it would be well worth the $4.99 cost. Unfortunately, as it is now, in my opinion it is a waste of money.

An exercise in frustration. Trying to get things the right size is really annoying. Lines will refuse to snap to the edges of other objects, moving objects around will snap to edges sometimes, other times they will refuse to move or jump too far radomy when being moved. Jus too annoying to deal with overall.

Bad. Can’t open saved project from Home design even though it shows up in project list. Horrible design. Fix this

Crashes now. Enjoyed using this to visualize our backyard renovations until the app started crashing when I tried to open certain versions of the file. Couldn’t find any assistance on how to fix and so I’ll have to start almost from scratch and continue not knowing what causes this problem.

Stupid. Would not even download hate this wasted 2$ on this dume game!!

Liking it. I’ve been using the app for about a week now. Fairly easy to use, sometimes it’s a bit quirky. I’m drawing my two story house. It’s not something you’ll do in 30 min, but give it a couple of hours and it actually looks good.

Pretty fun. This app is great for messing with furniture placement or burning creative energy. The controls can be a little difficult when it come to small details, but on the whole it’s a great app to play around with.

Old Version. Purchased both apps.. this is an older version and will not open the Home Design projects. Don’t waste your money purchasing.

Limited functionality. This app is better than some, but has clunky controls. You can’t include any terrain because you are constructing on a flat plane and there is no way to incorporate elevation. I am trying to draw on a sloped lot - not working well.

Beginner like me. It’s very easy to use and for a newbie like me it’s perfect!

Helpful app. I have enjoyed using this app and laying out our backyard and being able to send the ideas to the landscaper. It does take a little bit of time figuring out how to insert and locate objects and overall I think they did a good job developing this

Solid. This is a solid outdoor design app. It's useful to help visualize various design features before beginning a project. I wish more objects, textures, and features would be made available over time with app updates.

Easy to use needs more actually plants to pic from. I am enjoying this app, using it to create an entirely new landscape plan after finishing a whole house renovation. It is fairly easy to use, but having more in the help section would be great. It actually doesn’t have many items, plants, trees, flowers and scrubs, to pick from which is sort of frustrating as it is a landscaping app. There are enough to get a basic idea for a layout, but not do anything beyond that. Good, useful, but not amazing.

Pretty awesome app, but not super intuitive. Pretty powerful app with the ability to go 3D and visit once done, but things like concrete and house features are difficult to find. Types of objects is oddly limited as well. You can just replace with similar items for some. Other than that great app to get an idea of what the yard will look like.

I wanted to love it …. … but I didn’t. Hard to navigate on iPhone. Doesn’t have many varieties of plants to use for landscaping. Probably better if you’re just trying to figure out furniture placement or something like that. Didn’t work for me. Too bad I couldn’t tell that before I had to pay for the app.

Error: Can’t Parse Project. Very disappointed that you pay so much for an app that doesn’t even work. I purchased the 3D home gold pack and the outdoor app and unable to open my home projects to work on the landscape. Rip off.

Pretty useless. Difficult to measure, can’t remove random angle icons that appear even though it’s on a straight line, limited shapes for objects like pools, limited ability to customize shapes (for example an “L” shaped pool can’t be done. Am I missing something here?

Waste of money. Not user friendly. Don’t waste your money even if it just is $1.

No Pavement Options?!. Basic idea is solid, but there is no option for pavement, or to change window or door openings.

Great for basic desings. I like it, helps me to give clients an idea, but not complete.

Works great. I used it to bring my deck drawing to life so my wife could see what the plan was. Worked great to use as a reference

One of the better apps I have tried. Not too hard to figure out how to use... Pretty fun and not too complicated.

Why can’t I access all my drawings. I just got this app for my Mac/Ipad/iPhone I can’t open any of my drawing from the home design app. It says I can’t open stuff from a new version. Why can’t all your apps work across a brood spectrum. I paid for all of your design apps you would think you could access everything across all apps. I have to change my rating from an original 5 star down to 3 and that’s being generous at this point. But I am sure you don’t care since you already have my money. Once you change the interface to access across all your apps I will change back to a 5 star rating. Also your home design 3D app needs some work with being able to add multiple floors and a roof system.

Learning Curve but Awesome if Given a Chance. If you need an app that will help you visualize your landscaping ideas this is it. This software is surprisingly powerful on an iPad Pro. Through trial an error, once you figure out how to use the built in design tools you are off to the races. For instance, using an outdoor carpet icon as a substitute for grass by altering the dimensions and then changing the texture to grass. Or using that same carpet to create a modern pool shape by changing the color to blue and then adding a board shaped object shaded the right color for borders. The end design will satisfy all but, I would think, professional designers. Once your done with your design you can the see it from an aerial 3D Birdseye view or 3D ground view, simply awesome. I only wish they had more plant options, desert plants for example.

Grate game. This game can give me a something to do when I am bored

I think I just bought the old version of the app I already have. Update: I wouldn't recommend this product if you already own their newer apps. This seems to be an just an earlier version of their current app. Original: I was hoping this would compliment their Gold app that I've been using, but it looks like that work is useless until the developer updates this app. My files are visible from the app, but when I try opening them, an error message comes up saying that it can't read files created from newer versions. I hope they update!

Not as hard as I thought. Having a lot of fun playing with my backyard plans.

Stick to Free. I purchased the app hoping for more options. Has the possibility to be great but missing editable elements to really visualize what I want to do with my landscape.

Terrible Waste of time and money. Half the ‘features’ don’t even work. Can’t customize sizes of anything. Once a texture is added, it can’t be changed. I have wasted a lot of time trying to make this work. No support available. It’s just crap.

Cannot Import 'Home Design' Export File? Honestly?. I wasted hours of coordinated work between the free 'outdoor' app and the paid 'home' app with the intention to merge them for a beautiful AND USEFUL model, but alas, 'outdoor' won't open 'home' files ('can't parse' error). Until these devs stop listening to their marketing department (who apparently value a fast fiver to a long-term customer base)and focus on good coding practices, this app will remain a shiny baubel of a toy instead of a design tool. This app, as is, is a revenue-generating toy posing as a CAD program.

Still room for improvement. This has much potential but needs a good deal more polish if it expects to be really useful as a garden design tool.

Very limited. Great for the larger design elements but not easy to use for smaller details, custom pathways, contrasting ground covers. Also a very limited plant selection, all larger trees or flowers would be good to see some grasses, low bush/ shrub and succulent sort of plant representation. Other design elements like simple posts or garden art designs, would be great as well.

Rubbish. I purchased this app as it looked like it would provide you the tools To design an outside space. $8 spent and its very fiddly and doesn't even provide the basics of a deck or steps. Who cares about twee water fountains and gross red brick walls if you can't even get the basics right?

AGAIN...UPDATE YOUR APP. This app has very dated ‘objects’. It has great potential, but makes it very hard to design modern landscapes when you’re limited with old, ugly, dated American objects/PLANTS (it's a garden app with such limited plants??? Makes no sense). UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

No Stairs???!. Seems like one of the better landscape design apps but why are there no stairs available?

Roofing. I’m seeing other apps with a tab for making a custom roof or a roof that fits to the exact ceiling. I wishing this app allowed us to add our own roof.

Need more things. For the money I payed there should be more objects like kitchens, bedroom, bathroom, living room, office , entertainment, interior lights, and I fricken roof

Good for what it is. Not entirely intuitive, but it didn’t take long to find the design elements. It’s not an architects tool, but good for mapping out ideas and concepts within the actual space - it helps to take the start point from deed records

Works But Limited Objects. I was able visualize how I want to redo my backyard, but the tool is a little finicky. There are limited trees, flowers, etc., so you have to use your imagination. My biggest frustration is moving the camera around. And after buying this version, I noticed there is a free version (probably ad supported).

Potential but misses the mark. I bought this to help plan my backyard. When we got to needing detail is where is fails. You can rotate thing and you can't print. It became useless fast.

Just ok. There aren't a lot of design elements, even very basic pergolas are limited. I can't give my project its own file name, and the program doesn't recognize indoor vs. outdoor...if you select a ground cover outside, all areas are covered with the same design element unless you make a new plot for each different area. Cumbersome. The picture window can't be shortened, only narrowed. How do you make curved lines??? The 2 to 3D toggle is cool.

good value. good value for the money. it help me map out my yard so I could compare ideas. I wish you could print. I ended up taking a picture and sending it to my printer
