So well done!. This app is excellent. I wish there were more battle and religious paintings. As is, still amazing. The $1 upgrade is worth $5, it is awesome.

Great purchase. At first, I was disappointed that there were only a few pieces of note (not even the Mona Lisa?!), but for only $0.99 you get almost 600 more paintings, which to me is a bargain. Considering it will probably be years before I get to the real Louvre, this is well worth the price.

Beautiful Still. Was at Louvre in 1972 and still remember the classical painting by the great masters thanks to this app.

My palette. I enjoy this app but I am finding some of the pictures are too dark to see much definition. still am glad to have the app because I otherwise wouldn't have seen any of these paintings.

Amazing. When you move between paintings, you feel that you are really at the Louvre especially when turning the music on. Great application for those who appreciate such pieces of art.

Amazing quality images. As a painter I want to get close up to these works and study the brushwork. Even without downloading the huge high res images you can still see amazing detail.

Great Quality. I have/had several Louvre programs for the PC, but I prefer this more than the rest because it is straight forward to the paintings and the ease of zooming into detail in each painting.

Truly great collection but very flawed interface. The included images are spectacular. I bought the in-app upgrade in order to view more of the HD versions. I do not regret spending the upgrade charge and I think that once the app is matured to the extent that the flaws in the viewing experience are remedied it will be a wonderful tool for experiencing one the finest collections on the planet. I appreciate that they have included some examples of before and after restoration to demonstrate the full vibrance of the original colors and the sometimes dramatic contrast from what viewers have been experiencing for a good many years. If I were to enumerate the problems the list would certainly run into double digits. The authors seem to have not taken a serious and thorough approach to testing. So be patient when viewing and be sure to post reviews to ensure that the authors correct the flaws in the initial roll out, soon.

Transports me back to the museum- thank you!. As a professor & artist I plan my trips around seeing great art... To have my favorites at my finger tips - in glorious high resolution format for FREE - well it just doesn't get any better! Bravo!

What an enjoyable app.... The images are fantastic. Using the app has been a fun way to introduce our children to classical art as we plan our trip to the Louvre.

Great app!. I'm an art student and love this App, as well as find it very helpful. I have had no problems with it and like that I can save my favorites.

Strong armed. First off, very impressive app. But they kind of strong arm you into giving them a 5 star rating by clearly saying if you want further updates from us then give us 5 stars. I did, but I don't like being forced to.

Beautiful artwork but.... Just got this app and really like it, the images are incredible! As an art history major this is a great tool for me to use when studying. The only downside is there isn't any history or information about the artist or the piece. The only info provided are the dimensions, if it's canvas, etc. Can additional info about the artist, the artwork, or the time period be added onto this app? If so then I'd give it a 5!

Amazing treasures. Free access to the priceless collection at the Louvre. No travel necessary. The images show beautifully on my iPad3. I love to set up a soundtrack and project the slide show onto a wall for entertaining. Missing: Information on the works and artists and better zoom to check out the details. The National Museum in Kyoto has an outstanding program as an example.

Great navigator!. This app helps me figure out my next visits to see specific paintings I make lists to see after browsing it all on my iPad.

Much needed preview before visit. Magnificent image quality. Could benefit from having more information associated with each artist/piece on background, period, style, etc. Should provide more grouping options as well other than by time and genre. I currently use it as part of art history study, don't feel genre is most relevant way to classify paintings.

Beautiful & Polished App. This App is exquisite. Being able to browse masterpieces online is not terribly new, but this App also offers unique viewing options. The high definition views allow the user to zoom in on the art to really catch the brush strokes of the master. There's something truly magical about seeing these moments of time stopped and held for us to gaze on today.

Great app.. I nice way to learn about all styles of art from all eras. I love the slideshow feature. It's like having a great art gallery at your fingertips.

Incredible. When I visited the Louvre, I came to the room where the Mona Lisa was displayed. There were so many people crowded around it that I would have needed heavy artillery to get anywhere even remotely close to it. Instead, I stood on a bench that sat on the far wall on the other side of the room. I could "see" it, but it was so far from me it looked like it was the size of a postage stamp. With this app I'm able to see it closely and that mpleases me no end.

Back in art history class!. This is one of the most polished art collections you can view and download to your iPad. Quality is quite nice. You can zoom in. You can send to friends. Etc. Anyone who has ever studied the classics will love this. Highly recommended.

Stunning!!!. Simple to use; easy and straightforward navigation with a clean face. I can't even begin to describe the quality of the pictures rendered here. Each is high with definition, pure in color, and majestic.

Can't get it to install on iPad; works on iPhone. Got this for my 6 y/o Little Girl, who loves art. It installed fine on my iPhone, but it won't install on her iPad. #ugh. Developer site says that it will be up and running in 0 days, 0 hours, 0 minutes, and 0 seconds, which isn't a great sign. That said, we like it on the iPhone and hope we'll be able to enjoy in on her iPad mini soon.

My bad a few fixes. Pretty good app! I wish I was able to get a bit more info on each picture when I click on the info icon than some numbers... I also wish you could categorize pictures by theme, subject or key word etc, instead of only being able to choose by name, or century.
