Average at best…. This use to be a great app and still would be a really good app if it weren’t so buggy. The app occasionally closes you out during your writing process only to go back in and have everything erased. Super annoying and this is the pro version unacceptable…

Crashes; Save heartache. I was so close to getting the full version of this app. It has many theoretically useful features but one fatal flaw. For me, it crashes anytime I tried to switch windows. If you’re like me and like to do research in a browser while writing songs, this is a deal breaker. I only lost a few minutes of work but that was enough for me to want to warn other writers. Save your money and save the heartache from lost work!

Don't Recomend. This app is pretty good for when you get writers block and the rhyming dictionary is helpful. You have to scroll through the chorus though rather than just read the whole song. Also it crashed a lot and does not save your data so you have to rewrite and it STILL doesn't save.

Way too many bugs. When it comes to what this app is supposed to do, it's a great concept that's fairly well executed. However, the app seems to crash at least once every time I use it, and that deletes everything I just wrote. Sometimes hitting "done" when editing a verse, chorus, etc. won't save your lyrics either. And I've had issues with the Songwriter's Pad Sync as well - it's telling me I've "reached my device limit" when I've only got it signed in on one device, completely defeating the purpose. 😐

I love this app!!. This is a wonderful app! Great for writing down your thoughts. The recording feature is also very nice. Really convenient! I do wish it costed a little less though. If anyone out there is wondering whether or not they should get the full version, or just go ahead and get the free version. The only difference between the two is that the full version has the recording capability. The free version has everything else though. Overall a fantastic app! If you are exploring songwriting, this is the app to get!

Words phases and writing no longer pops up. I’ve been using this app for years and all of a sudden the words phases and whatever i type no longer comes up and it’s updated is this no longer supported by apple i even tried buying the full version and it still did the same thing

Exceptional App!. Songwriter's Pad is an excellent tool to keep your music ideas organized and help u when u need a rhyme, definition, or a replacement word so you don't sound repetitive. The app is solid in its functionality and ease of use. Definitely a must have for songwriters of all levels especially if you are constantly on the go.

Wonderful!!. This app is AMAZING!! I'm never able to write my own lyrics. This app has topics and lists phrases and words on that topic. It's very helpful. One thing is that the dictionary is weird. You some other app or something to use it. But other than that, I think this an amazing app!! :D

Too Many Ads. This has way to many ads, and I know that they want to sponsor other games but they sponsored one game at least three times straight on my iPod. And you have to pay six dollars to get the full version with no ads which u think is crazy. It should at least be two dollars. I downloaded it and it is not any better than the first one.

Amazing. This is an awesome app. I made a song called "hold your pride"®. If you want to hear it post a comment on here and I will share it with you and you have to tell ALL THE PEOPLE YOU KNOW please!!

Crashes, and only TWO SONGS!?. Omg so it crashes, and u loose all your work, and then when I go to make a third song it says I can only make two!? Omg fix that please I kept this app bc of the dictionary and rhymes and thesaurus and the recording audio that’s it

Artist. Used several song writing sites but this one surpasses them all

More songs. This app is fine if you want to write just 2(your own and the welcome to SP just don't change the name) but if you are considering really writing say an album get the full version with everything with it.

Excellent. A superior lyric-management app. I recommend upgrading to the full version though, cause the one downside is you can only create one song on the lite version. Other than that, though, it truly is the best.

Don't like love 😃. Love this app keeps my songs organized I had another app but no doubt this is the best!

VERY COOL!. This is the coolest app for the I phone! I love it a lot cause I don't have to carry a legal pad or my brief case! I have everything at my finger tips any time I get a fresh idea for a new song or lyric! I enjoy it very much!! I Actully think it was created for me cause I'm on the go so much! I just type then record it later in my studio ! I need to get the full version but something won't allow that to happen! Maybe you could help me resolve that problem! I really need the full version! One major design flaw. Change and you'll have 5 stars all around.. I am a professional songwriter in Nashville with many cuts to my credit. I was excited when I found this app but the "blocks" layout concept is too frustrating. Each block (verse, chorus, bridge etc.) allows you see the first 4 lines you've written and then you have to scroll to see what other words are there. This is incredibly frustrating when you're trying to record your idea and you must keep stopping to scroll. And it just looks weird. Why have my song on a page when I can't see all the words that are there? Let me see my song as a whole!!! Until you change this layout, this app is useless to me.

Great app. bugs need to be fixed. i love how it's easy to setup songs, i just have a problem with the fact that i can't get through a verse without the app closing, and i lose all progress. please fix

Love it!. I'm not much of a songwriter but when I need a song this app is there to help! It's really great, and its good quality for being free :)

Adds such. I really love this app. I have been using it for a couple weeks am it really helps getting my ideas down but I have been using for the past 10 minutes.....I love the fact I can have more then three songs (including the help thing) but the none stop adds are really annoying. Please decrease how frequently they pop up.

Crashes on lte. When using the ideas feature if you try to use anything that has to use Internet the app freezes when on cell data works fine on wifi but when it freezes you loose everything you had just written luckily I still use notes to back everything up

Why you no keep songs separate?. Everything was all fairy dust and unicorn farts until it started combining my songs like some science experiment gone wrong. Seriously now everything reads like an bipolar emo love song gone horribly wrong.

Crash!!!. This app crashed right when I got an idea and it didn't save my work. I tried again and went to the home page but it only saved part of what I wrote. I started all over, saved it, and closed the app. I was curious if it saved, so I went back onto the app and it was not saved. Work for nothing. Now I'm back to killing trees.

Pretty good. I'm using the basic version and I didn't know if this app would actually help until I started writing and hit some roadblocks. It instantly helped give me some ideas, so it's definitely useful! I think I'll be using it again!

MUST HAVE!. This app is a must have! It is very easy to use & so helpful for someone like me who loses information easily! Thank you for such an amazing app!

Almost There. 1.You should be able to arrange your songs n they should "stay in that order". 2.You should have the option to delete the "Welcome to Sp" 3. You can't get to the bottom song idk there's something wrong with the scroll 4. n to change wallpaper would be nice ....... but I love the app

Awesome app!!!!!!👍🎶. This is an amazing app. It gives you phrases when you get stuck and you can put in any word and it will give you a rhyme. Normally it takes me a few weeks to write a song but with Songwriters Pad Lite I can write one in 2-4 days. This is totally worth it. You will not be sorry so DOWNLOAD today🎶😃

Not bad. I loved the app, amazing when I needed to record something fast before I forgot it. But....when I went back to it, it wouldn't play...kind of frustrating!

Awesome. I just started to use this and so far I love it. I have it backing up to my Dropbox, so I won't have to worry about losing my lyrics. Thank you for a great app!

Kevin. This app is pretty great i upgraded from the free version on my second day with the app and would recommend it to friends. However, the only feature i think was missing is being able to listen to an audio track while typing on the lyric pad without having to record a whole bunch of nothingness. A beat database would also put the icing on the cake for me. Still needs some tweaks with recording and viewing lyrics as well as handling a lot of text. Had a pad crash on me while i was 3/4 of the way finished with a track and it erased All of it. The only thing that saved me was the recordings i had made.

Crashing and glitching. I have had this app for a very long time and have used it to write countless songs, and I appreciate that. At the end of the day I felt is was time to write a review in hopes developers would hear the issues that have not been addressed naturally, as I figured they would have been. The crashing... NEEDS to be fixed. I cannot tell you how many Lines and recordings I have lost from a crash. It really blows because I can put something great down and then boom, gone. It’s been a problem for years, over several ios and several devices, fix it. Also, the ordering of projects is stupid. When I work on one it should not bounce to a random order when I try to go find it again. When I click to organize by date, it doesn’t, and organizing by name is kind of inconvenient. I would also suggest better recording features to make this app the best available songwriting app. Should be some minor things and then I would rate 5 stars.

Disappointed. This app had about the same capability as your basic "notes" app. Except it doesn't save your work. I had a decent sized piece that I really liked, I finished it on the app. Little while later I pull it up again and it was empty, all my work had been deleted! As an artist you can't afford to have any ideas deleted, let alone a finished piece of work! Don't waste your time, stick to paper and pencil. If you want to use your device, just go with notes

Awesome. I needed an app to organize my lyrics for my upcoming album and this is awesome! Had to buy after seeing the rhyme machine and also recording notes. Great app! Using this on my iPhone 3GS :)

Not perfect. Ok now first off I love this app or at least the concept. I mostly use it to find more creative words to rhyme with when writing lyrics, but. My largest issue is the fact that it crashes a lot and loses Internet connection even though my wifi is fine. Which in turn messes with my creative process because I'm getting frustrated trying to fix the app. Another thing that upset me was that on my old iPhone I purchased the pro version and then bought a new iPhone and tried to download again but it said I had to buy it. As far as I knew as long as I purchased with the same iTunes account I should be able to download to any device. If they could fix the bugs I would give this 5 stars because it's perfect for any songwriter.

So many ads!. Even though the other reviews said there were too many ads, I decided to give this app a try. Unfortunately, there really are a lot more ads than there should be. I don't usually mind a few ads a day, but there were so many I deleted it after less than five minutes after I started exploring. It seems like an idea with potential, though.

lovely...but..... None of my songs saved! I wrote something I was actually fond of for once, but then I came back the next morning and the app itself showed no sign of my being there whatsoever! I don't know if this has happened to multiple people or if it's just me, but if you are looking for a flawless app, then this is not the one for you.

Excellent concept but too many bugs. This has, hands-down, the best design of any notes or song-writing app I've used. The "ideas" page is a great concept. Chords and recording capabilities are key as well. HOWEVER, with so many glitches and bugs, I would never feel safe storing my ideas on here without risk of losing them

Like the Dev gave up. Had this app for Google Play and it was amazing!! Had so many songs backed up. Upgraded to an iPhone and immediately downloaded the iOS version and it’s like some Beta version compared. Plus, there’s no login option I cannot access anything I’d backed up prior.

Ehhh. Its a good idea but i when i would try to save my songs the app would delete some of what i had writtin... I ended up not remembering what i wrote and i got really agitated at the app for not savin the lyrics and when it came to rhyming words they would suggest words that definitely didnt rhyme with what i put in ..... Its a good idea but i ended up deleting the app

The Ads!!!. I agree the ads make it barely unusable. I keep going back & trying to but the ads are intrusive while interrupting my train of thought & taking up the entire screen. A paid app with ads like that is unacceptable. Charge more if you want, but don't penalize those who were willing to pay.

*KEEP LOOKING* - There is a better app out there.. I had been searching for a great songwriting app for some time so I downloaded this app and tried to use it but it was HORRIBLY DESIGNED and NOT INTUITIVE AT ALL. Just a hodgepodge app without cohesiveness or much usefulness. This is definitely NOT A GREAT APP. **WARNING: This app is confusing and difficult to use.** Keep looking there is a much better app out there for Songwriters.

This app is PERFECT!. Great when you don't have pen or pencil! Just as I described in the description. Only downside is there's only three on the Free Edition. But I will definitely being upgrading!

Just one problem. It was a great app. Until I finished my first song with it. The free version only let's you use it to wrote one song. Otherwise it was great. I wrote a really good song with this app. So if they fix that one problem it would be a perfect app.

I want to be a singer. I am rateing this app the number of songs you can make 2 I want more then I will rate more then 2 please fix this I beg you I like the app other wise this is a full honest review I really wish mabye on the mood there was plan and forgiving those are 2 I would like to see till you make changes I will delete this app and find another

Nice.. Nice for when you get writer's block. It would be better if it showed all the lines that you type in, rather than having to scroll to see the whole verse or chorus.

It crashes on startup!!!!. Bro, great app but it keeps crashing on startup and I'm afraid my songs are being deleting please fix it

Great. This app is really good but you could add in another tab at the bottom to separate the notes from the info, cause a bigger note pad would be useful.

Terrible. I wrote down my first verse and when I came back to it it was gone it didn’t save there’s no way you can save it do not get this it is awful

I’ve lots so many hours of work thanks to your app. I get that apps crash once in a while, but this app will crash randomly after you use it for a bit with absolutely no backup in place. So many hours and good lyrics flushed down the tube because you can’t even get your app to stay open, let alone function…

You will lose your work. Ok, I've had enough of this. For the 3rd and final time this program has crashed and lost all the lines I had just written out. For me this doesn't come easy and after writing some really good lines I exit and come back to find all my changes gone. This is usually preceded by the program doing something whacky. Like just now, verses for another song appeared, you don't think to copy your data, I exit and come back and all my work is gone. For such an expensive program, this is ridiculous.

Me. Downloaded it, opened it, was bombed by 3 full screen ads within 20 seconds and then deleted it. I felt like I was being slapped in the face while doing something I love. I understand paying the bills.....but really?

Does its job. It’s an okay app. Sometimes it’s a bit slow, but I like the ideas feature. All the same, it’s nothing a piece of paper and a pencil couldn’t do.

Frustrating/Terrible. This app is bad in multiple ways: 1) it has a limit of 2 songs written 2) it doesn't do anything you couldn't do with an online rhyming dictionary, the notes app, and voice memos. 3)

Purchase stacking. It’s very sad when you have to purchase the same app: for both your ipad AND your iPhone. What a sad marketing scam.. called: double-dipping, right?

Potential... but. The developer is more concerned with spamming customers daily to buy his desktop app rather than fix the many bugs of this app and the iPad version. Stay away especially if you're a pro and need reliability.

Just no. Adds make this unusable not paying for a notepad, you can't even keep your train of thought because your Xing off adds every 10 seconds.

Horrible. This app is absolutely horrible. It always crashing when im writing my verses and it doesn't save when i exit. Lost all my songs that i wrote in this app.

Jerks. Dont get me wrong, this app is great if you don't install the new update the update makes the app crash every time you get on it. Erased everything! What the heck!

Annoying ads every few seconds.. Didn't even have a chance to use the app because the ads were so annoying.

DO NOT GET!. This app would be great if it didn't glitch and force quit. Also is did this thing on my phone where no mater what I did it kept saying server not found. It's free so it's not it wastes your money or anything but I Do not recommend it.

Destroyed my song. It's a good app but I was using the free version to write up sim lyrics I was like 75% done with them and then bam the app crashed! Bye bye song. I opened it and there was only like 4 bars saved out of everything I had finished. :(

Don't download this. Not sure how the other user was able to go 2 stars. After about 10 seconds I got an ad I couldn't close out of. Restart and still there. Seems like a cool idea, but how could I ever check it out myself?

A rapper needs rhymes. Before I bought this app I never had a problem with the rhyme tab. But after the purchase it says it cannot access the sever please fix for I am serious about my craft and somewhat of a perfectionist when if come to my rhyme scheme please fix

Use to work. Ever since the IOS update this app has gone down hill. It doesn’t arrange, doesn’t print, changed the fonts after the update. If they don’t fix it I am ready to move on..

Ok. I've gotten a few songs. There are a ton of adds. The app needs improving. Needs better rhymes. Pretty Lowsey. But it works.

If you like ads, this is the app for you.. Don't expect this app to do anything other than pop-up ads. It's aggravating and worthless.

Ugh.. I got this app because I loved it on my Kindle Fire...but on my iPhone it's terrible! Constant ads popping up (I guess trying to force you to buy the full version) and it crashed three times in just the five minutes I was using it. NOT happy.
