Disappointed. Can’t open any 2018 issue. On the latest iOS and the app is up to date so what gives

Absolutely Terrible Update/Format. I feel like half the magazine is missing. I will be cancelling my years long digital subscription because I cannot read this. Its now mid-Sept and nothing has improved with this format. And Country Living Magazine is just as bad. Its not Powered by Maz, its Ruined by Maz. I cancelled both subscriptions.

Ruined this app. The latest update has ruined this app for me! I had a one year subscription and every single issue purchased before this app. Now I have none of the magazines and no way to restore my purchases! The overall layout was ruined too and impossible to view without bugs and crashing! Subscription cancelled!

Hgtv. I lost all my previously paid subscription magazine and cannot get any new months in current subscription unless I pay for each.

Bring Back PINCH AND ZOOM. It's is difficult to read the small print now. Why would you take such a valuable feature away from your app? I will cancel if there isn't a correction update forth coming.

Terrible app and customer service. This is a terrible app with even worse customer service. Wants a password but has no option to reset it. Unable to access the magazine and can’t find anyone who is willing to help at customer service. Will take my & elsewhere.

Frustration!!. I haven't been able to access this mag in two months. Says my subscription is still active so what else can I do? If I can figure out how to cancel I'm ready. SO disappointing.

Hgtv. Articles were terrific, but way tooo many ads

Boo HGTV magazine digital. I love this magazine, but the digital edition went so far downhill when MAZ took it over. It's not user friendly, the magazine is always our on shelves before it shows up in the app, and the layout of the app is not as fun to read as it used to be. When my subscription is up, I won't renew but may go back to just the paper copy if I still want te magazine.

Bad app with bad customer service. I continuously have problems with this app. I write to the developers they give me a recommendation which does not work, and they never tell me what is wrong. Right now I cannot access my magazine, because when I click on it all that comes up is a blank page with boxes and little blue question marks inside. I have been trying to get this issue resolved for months. Yep you heard me months. And this happens all the time it happens every year. Something goes wrong with this app. I’m done.

I love HGTV MAGAZINE!. HGTV Magazine is one of my favorite guilty pleasures! It is always so colorful that I cheer up no matter what is bothering me when I see it. I gather inspiration & if I want to make something I see for sale, I have info to take straight to You Tube to find out how to make it. Then, when I don't want to DIY, HGTV Mag gives me all the details on where to find the item online or in a store & the price. HGTV Mag is my favorite magazine so I have both magazine subscription & I have a digital subscription for my iPad. Thank you+++++

Helpful tool. I love this magazine. It certainly gives me many good ideas and how to's. Love the network and feel like you know all the designers personally. Thanks and being able to download to my iPad, I can bring it with me to read anywhere!

Bookmarks please. I like having digital copies of HGTV and I love being able to click on a product and ZOOM to the website. Downloading issues to read offline in my downtime is fast and easy. Unfortunately, there is no way to bookmark a page you want to refer back to. The software has all sorts of weird ways to try to save something you see in the app ( like a pair of scissors for “clipping” from a page or links to save it elsewhere in a limited manner), but those are just awkward and way too many steps. And it means saving stuff elsewhere (and I will never remember to look at it again). A simple bookmark, like when I read digital books, would just be easier. I find myself reading the magazine more often through my library’s app instead because I can bookmark pages. That just works better for me and it’s easier. One touch on the upper right hand corner and it’s done. They have a bookmark menu for the item you’re reading and it’s great for quick reference. Please institute bookmarks!

Finally a magazine e that meets all of my decorating needs. There are many magazines (& websites) that show beautiful pictures of decorating ideas. When I see these fabulous photos, I think, "I want to capture that look!" The only problem is I have no clue where furniture, accessories, paints, etc. came from. I appreciate that this magazine give me great ideas and also directs on how to recreate that "look". Some people might consider this one big advertisement but I promise you, it like having an interior decorator without paying for one. Good job HGTV!

App doesn’t work. I love HGTV magazine but this app is super buggy and I can’t access all of the content in the magazine. I bought a year subscription and it has been a headache. MAZ magazine doesn’t feel the need to fix their app to make sure it works. Waste of money!!!

Cannot view on my iPad, and horrible website log on process!. This is the worst!

Bring the old one back all ready!. It has been a year fix it back already please you fixed something that wasn’t broken and know one likes it.

Issues that don’t download. It is Dec 31 and no January issue yet. Ugh!

Painful To Read. Loved this magazine. I will cancel my subscription. I can't get rid of re-directed ads to get to the next page on my iPad. Waste of money. Poor use of digital technology.

Glitches can’t swipe pages, crashes, awful. This app used to work great. Now it constantly glitches. You can’t move between pages, it crashes, opening contents closes the magazine. Half the time I can’t get passed the cover.

Lost archives. I had a subscription and articles I wanted to go back to. Now I can’t access my archived issues. What was the point of archiving them? Useless app now. Deleted from my iPad.

Stick with the print edition. I have had nothing but problems with the digital content. The issues I have already paid for are now requiring me to pay to access the content. Customer service is terrible. I have not been able to find a phone number to contact them, and the back and forth emailing has gotten me nowhere. Very frustrated.

logging in. I can not log in after many times. I have contacted customer service many times and have not resolved the problem.

Horrible!. The app changes have ruined my experience of the magazine! It's awful. The presentation is different, the pages load slowly, and the ad pages are so touchy that I have to concentrate on how I touch the screen or the ad opens and won't go back! I've had to delete the app and reload it more than once. I'm seriously thinking of going back to the print version. From reading many of the other reviews, it's not just me hating this app and wondering what in the world they were thinking! I've written to the magazine, along with Good Housekeeping and I'm so frustrated with that process I've thought about cancelling both subscriptions! Hope they go back to the "old" version. Thank goodness Redbook app hasn't been "updated". Don't!

Buyer Beware!. Don't get involved with this. Buy it on the newsstand! After several years of subcribing I decided to take a break for a while and I have been trying for over a year to cancel this subscription and it just keeps showing up. I've tried canceling online and by calling Hearst Inc. and I've been assured that I'm cancelled then it shows up on my bill again. This is a nightmare and I regret the day I subscribed. I see the magazine everywhere, it would have been so easy to purchase a copy occasionally and not get stuck in this twilight zone.

Interesting content. I have not been able to open the app for two days. A new magazine is out and I can't access it. I hope this will be fixed soon. Overall, the digital version is good but it is more a copy of the magazine rather than an iPad optimized edition. Another update today. Still crashing. I had turned off the button to allow in-app purchases in settings. Once I turned it back on, the app stopped crashing. I hope this helps if you are having the same problem.

HGTV. I been reading hgtv magazine for a long time I love it makes me happy when I get it in the mail each moth like crazy times like this dring the coved 19 out bears to sit down after a long week of busy school I just enjoyed hgtv magazines looking at them when I get my issues of hgtv magazine geart job hgtv magazine for keeping all of the hgtv loves out there in the would I love hgtv magazine soo much I will have to give this hgtv magazine a 100/ out of 100 ❤️

Terrible Update. They took away all of the great functionality that used to exist. Especially disappointing is the removal of the ability to pinch and zoom. No longer can I read ANY small print nor zoom in to see those special details in the images. Bad for advertisers and readers, especially for a magazine that is all about the visual experience. Shame on you HGTV Magazine. I will not renew my subscription.

Awful. If I could give a lower star than 1, I would! I've read every copy of HGTV Mag since its inception and am disgusted by the recent update! I've contacted the editor and publishers at Hearst along with the "tech support" for the app to express my disgust and frustration. If there's no fix, I intend to request a refund. The menu not going away and the ugly black box around the pages has turned a relaxing pastime into a waste of money because I don't even like looking at the pages! The only reason I haven't deleted the app and complained to Apple is because I'm hoping that with the complaints on here now, someone will actually fix the problems and get the magazine back to normal!

Worse than horrible!. Every time there is an app update, I lose everything. Now, not only have I lost all past issues and it wants me to subscribe all over again, it also doesn’t recognize my email and there is no way to say reset password etc. I have been a subscriber to HGTV magazine since inception and I switched to the digital because I had so many post office problems with delivery. However I am ready to either cancel altogether if I could find out how to do it!!!!! There must be a better way! Too many good apps out there to think this is the best they can do..

Great mag, but app needs improvement. LOVE the articles! The magazine itself is amazing, full of really useful and neat DIY projects, steals, etc. The iPad app however could use some tweaks. First time accessing a new issue doesn't take you to the first page, but rather to the middle of the magazine. (I didn't even realize I missed out on the first 30 pages until a friend started talking about an article I apparently missed). You have to physically drag a finger from right to left to turn the oage. Tapping the upper right hand corner also makes you jump to random pages. Please please please fix these to better mimic the reading experience!!

WTH happened?. I just came back to the after about a year. Have to unlock an issue before you can leave a bookmark (how is that done, by the way?), no list of issues owned - have to scroll through everything to which ones say ‘available offline’. This makes it almost worth it taking up space on bookshelves or magazine racks & going back to the physical issues. Please fix the app & put it back the way it was. I have no idea how to find the bookmarks on my older issues from before the update.

Terrible Interface. It is difficult to load pictures

A good app has been ruined. The black boxes at the top and bottom of each page have reduced the readable portion of each page to an unacceptable extent. They serve zero purpose except to frustrate. Furthermore, updating my iPad Air 2 has resulted in an app that doesn’t work — again. The cover opens and that is it. Am I supposed to dump and reinstall again? I’m getting ready to cancel and dump for good.

Very Disappointed. I have always loved the magazine that why I had the monthly subscription come automatically out of my Apple account. But couldn’t open the magazine for a numb of months. I am very disappointed.

Better than it used to be!. When I first started using this app it was buggy and difficult. Now a year later, I absolutely love it over the physical copy! I use the favorite button to star ideas for later. No more to tearing out a page just to lose it! I am also a fan of the hyperlinks for all the products they feature - no need to google them later to purchase!

HGTV Magazine on my iPad. I’ve downloaded each issue for several years. When I go to Dr. Office or other appointments, I drop my mini iPad in my purse and enjoy a germ free HGTV.

So nonsubscribers get the magazine first now?. Apparently HGTV subscribers are second rate since the print version is available in stores before we receive it here.

Lost all my paid for mags. I paid for a years subscription for both digital and actual magazine. Update caused me to LOOSE EVERYTHING 😡. And wants me to pay for things I already paid for!! Now I have nothing to review in my phone and I can't even get to contact information or FAQs. What a HORRIBLE UPDATE!!!!!!!!!

Slow. The app is a LOT slower than other APS. It is so slow that it is useless. Do NOT pay for this.

Ruined. I might as well cancel my subscription. This app "powered by maz" what the hell have you done? Did no one look at the update? You ruined reading HGTV magazine on my ipad. I wont be buying the paper edition.

Hate Hate Hate. The update. You now flip the reader out to a web site which makes it impossible to return to the magazine. I have read this magazine from the very beginning and it use to worked perfectly. This is now a mess! Done with it and I will not renew.

Ordered hard copy only getting online version. I ordered hard copy but only getting online version which I can’t read. Old , almost 70, and very computer literate but can’t read HGTV online. Please stop my online account and send me hard copy ASAP. Thank you.

Terrible update. I hate the update. Not all of the articles and pictures will load so it is impossible to see content which is referenced in the text. In addition, the whole app is buggy and laggy now. Changing pages is not smooth and if I get impatient because the pages won't turn, often I will accidentally open an advertisement menu which then refuses to close unless I completely close the app. I am extremely unhappy and considering canceling my digital subscription. Save yourself some money and buy a print subscription!

Can't download Jan/Feb issue. Hi - I am unable to download the Jan/Feb issue. It keeps asking me to "buy" the issue. I have an annual subscription through Itunes. I deleted the app, and reinstalled it, but it still won't work. I notice that there was an update last night, but unfortunately it still did not rectify the problem. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Crashes. I updated and now it won't open on my ipad. I checked my settings and everything is correct. It's disappointing since I recently spent $20 on a years subscription!

Don't get. I just downloaded this app thinking I'd get information about the shows and the various hosts, as well as good articles on related content. What I got was nothing but prompts asking me to subscribe. If I wanted to do that I would have done so directly and wouldn't have bothered getting an app!! Waste of 30 seconds of my life. DELETE.

Love it!!. I enjoy reading the print magazine, so I'm thinking that reading it on my iPad will be fabulous, and a space saver.

Blurry copy zero stars. This app says that it has downloaded the current issue, then when you open it, each page is blurry and you have to wait a bit for it to load (there is a blue line showing the progress for loading each page). I thought if I went through the entire issue and loaded each page that I could then go back and read it clearly, but no. Upon reopening the issue, each page is blurry again and has to reload. Asking for a refund because that is horrible. The Woman's Day app did the same thing but no problems at all with Real Simple, BHG, and Country Living. Guess which magazines I will be subscribing to.

Hey Advertisers!! HGTV app is skipping your ads!. Yes. The app jumps to random pages. I usually enjoy thumbing through pages and enjoy good ad layout and message... But that's all lost when I am saying "what the heck?"... I lose all interest in your ads because I'm too frustrated with their app I hope you aren't paying top dollar for these spots. Have your own team check it out... If you are spending good money and effort on the layout... It's getting lost in the delivery... Ah well... Off to Home and Garden....

What is going on?. I went to download the new Jan/Feb issue. I pay the $1.99 monthly renewal for years and instead it ask me to pay $3.99 plus on top of when it automatically renews it for the 1.99 payment. On top of always being charged $1.99 a month even when it's a month that an issue doesn't come out. I have no idea why this is happening but very disappointing.

Sorry about your digital. Why do we have to pay for digital when I have already paid for print. This will influence my renewing my subscription.

Rip-off!!!!!. If I could rate this less than a zero I certainly would. There is absolutely nothing FREE about this. It downloads and you don't even get the privilege to read anything -instead, each issue has a box where you can pay over $3 per issue. This whole newsstand business is a big joke and a rip-off. Since I cannot delete the whole newsstand, I am consigning this huge hunk of junk to the far reaches of my iPad so I don't have to ever see it again.

It's alright. I've been buying the actual magazine for 6 months now. I thought it would be convenient to have on my iPad instead. But I don't like that you have to click and scroll to read stuff. I just want to be able to read without the extra work.

Love the app.. I love the app more than I thought I would and plan to subscribe to the magazine electronically now instead of the paper version. My favorite is the albums feature. I like being able to crop part of a page. The only improvement I would like to see made is an ability to add notes to the album.

Print subscriber. The digital version should be available to your print subscribers at no charge. Every magazine that I receive makes this a part of your regular subscription. Why isn't this available with your magazine? This is not cool, I probably won't renew. I need to be able to read on my iPad, for when I'm on the go (vacation, college, doctor's apps, etc) It is not convenient to carry magazines, anymore.

App crashes no response to e-mails. I absolutely loved this app at first but for a month now it has crashed after trying to open it? I did all of the things it told me to do on the website and nothing works. I have sent several e-mails and have received no response. Wish I had just gotten a mail subscription. My other magazine app works just fine. Really not happy. Huge waste of money for such a good magazine. Downloaded new update to fix crashes. Still won't work!

Awful. I HATE this app, if I had know it was going to be this much of a pain I would of never bought the issues and went right for the paper copy! I am sick and tired of never getting the monthly issue with out a day long fight to renter my password again because it ALWAYS says I am not a subscriber. If you want an easy app and downloading breeze you WILL NOT FIND IT HERE. Very sorry I wasted my money

Horrible upgrade - locks on ads. This upgrade is awful. Content is unprofessionally laid out down the page while many more ads than usual scrawl across multiple pages you have to scroll thru. And several times when you scroll, it opens the ads. Then on my system, the ad STAYS OPEN. You cannot close it. You cannot change the URL. You have to force quit and restart the app to try and get to the next page. If this is not addressed by next issue, I will cancel my multiyear subscription. Used to love the magazine, hate the upgrade!

2:30 am. Worst app ever. Subscribed for 1 year and app was quick to collect funds through iTunes. That was it though. I have been unable to download issue even though I have tried everything. It does not even warrant 1 star. Too bad I did not read the reviews ahead of paying. Now I am waiting for a refund.

HGTV Magazine print subscription. I purchased the print subscription of HGTV Magazine because it was not offered as a digital subscription at that time; however, what I really wanted was the digital version. Since I did not have a choice when I purchased (and supported your newly published magazine) how can I switch my print subscription to a digital subscription?

Great magazine, terrible app. I have had more trouble with this app. One issue never would download even after numerous contacts with the publisher and attempting various fixes recommended. Now for over a week I can't open the app at all and see any of my previous magazines. I sent an email a week ago but have not received a reply.

Crashes. All. The. Time.. I confess, I have a version 1 iPad but I never had issues with the hgtv mag in my newsstand until this latest update. I love the magazine but I can no longer view it. It will be a long time before I can update my iPad so count me one lost revenue stream for hgtv. I am most seriously displeased. :-(

Blogger. As a DIY, Home Decor Blogger I need to stay up to date with current trends in the Home Improvement field. Subscribing to HGTV's magazine App is an invaluable tool for me. Not only are they a step ahead of trends but the app was so fast to load and inexpensive but I get beautiful graphics at the tap of my finger ! The savings over rack prices is phenomenal !

Awesomeness. I love HGTV Magazine, it has so many ideas! I read it from top to bottom and always find a tip that makes my life easier. The shopping tips are wonderful and I have found a number of buys that have made my home look wonderful. Thank you HGTV!

Love This. I love it being on the go, so I can take it on car trips. I'm not even a teen yet, but this magazine is something I look forward to each month. These tips are helpful/ will be helpful throughout my life. I definitely recommend this magazine to all.

Horrible App. I purchased the digital subscription but have not been able to access the magazine. When trying to login, my password failed, but when requesting a password reset, they sent me a password for Cosmopolitan magazine instead of HGTV (I don't subscribe to Cosmo). Then, it told me that my login for HGTV is the same as my login for the Food Network. No luck there either. I've scoured HGTV, Hearst Magazine and iTunes for a solution, but no luck. What a waste of money.

67% savings for subscription is a lie. I fell for the 67% savings by subscribing monthly for $1.99 a month. Thought I could save because paying per issue cost $3.99. However this is the catch, my monthly subscription is $1.99 but HGTV only provides 1 issue every 2-months. Therefore I ended up paying $3.98 per issue. So, where is the 67% savings that HGTV is talking about, since I only saved 1-cent. It's obviously misleading customers, so I stopped my subscription. I think I'm better off subscribing with Martha Stewart's magazine...she got more content than HGTV.

Great Magazine. I look forward to this magazine every single month. It has so many different ideas that are so easy to implement and such beautiful combinations of items that I would never think of. My friends read my magazines and just love them so I'm sure they will also be getting their own subscription soon. Thank you HG TV for a great magazine.

Have to purchase again. I have the subscription to this wonderful magazine. I thought they would be as progressive as others and if you paid for the paper bound magazine you would receive the digital as well. No! You have to purchase them again. I will not be renewing my subscription unless this changes. Be forewarned before downloading!

App won't let me download latest issue. I usually have no problems but the app won't let me download the new issue without paying for it even though I have an active digital subscription. Also the tab that gives you info about your subscription status is useless. It always reads "N/A" even though I'm signed in. They certainly give you many opportunities to double purchase which is annoying. I love the content though so I put up with it.

Bad. The app was crashing constantly so i uninstall and reinstall it. Then can not restore the issues I already bought, they appear in red. I wrote to customer service 3 times. They answer me with different solutions that did not work. I paid for a year subscription and only can download again the last 2 issues. I am missing issues from june2012 to may 2013. The last solution they offer me was to reinstall then tap in other subscribers and tap forgot password, but then said that the don't have my email address. What a help.

Magazine is great, but the app subscription is horrid.. Love HGTV magazine, but the subscription app does not work correctly. I started a monthly subscription last December, by April it was no longer recognizing my subscription. Bounced emails back and forth with customer service for two months. Finally fixed access during the summer, now the app is no longer recognizing my subscription again, even though I still pay monthly. C'mon, Hearst! If you can produce a wonderful interactive (and functional!) magazine like O (Oprah's), then you can certainly fix this. Hate to say it, but I may go back to the print edition! Such a pity.

Subscription issue seems to be resolved. Just downloaded the Nov 14 issue and did not experience the subscription issue I've had in the past. Reserving 5 star rating to see if the fix is permanent or not. I enjoy reading the magazine which is chocked full of great ideas!

Happy!. I enjoy the magazine very much. It is full of great ideas and valuable information! However, when I got ready to take the survey I gave my email and the survey never downloaded. I do realize that this new magazine so I am looking forward to the next ones!

I LOVE HG TV Magazine. I get quite a few magazines but HG has got to be one of my all-time favorites. It has a varied menu of Home & Garden Self-Help ideas that anyone can do PLUS the places to get the supplies. Also great advice from the professionals. I highly recommend it to anyone that loves to do their own decorating! I also LOVE the digital edition. We travel a lot and that way, I always have the latest issue handy.

Speak Out. They require all info except ur underwear size just to get a free magazine that really cost $3.99. Then magazine doesn't load .....annoying. And when u go to the HGTV website they bombard u with ridiculous Obama ads filled with ridiculous claims about the war on women. Ladies please...please don't let them use us for a bogus agenda. We are not victims or helpless individuals but they sure would like to make us think so. That way they can "save us" and hopefully we will " depend on them". As long as we allow them to define us this way, we will never be taken serious and will always be viewed as inferior.

Screen shots of print. While the photos are beautiful, the text is just a screen shot of the print edition. There are no links embedded or additional material. I have a number of iPad magazine subscriptions and they are all much more sophisticated than HGTV's. I can't believe you're charged for an iPad edition that's no different from the print. In addition, you have to zoom in on all the text to have a clear view of it. Canceling now...

Love this magazine!. This is the only magazine I subscribe to that I never the subscription lapse. It is fabulous! I cannot wait for each issue. The photography is great, the tips and tricks are actually doable, and I love that I get to know HGTV personalities better. I also have a print subscription and regularly refer to back issues for decorating ideas and DIY guidance.

I LOVE THIS APP!. I love being able to take multiple copies of HGTV magazine with me every where I go. Unlike others, I have never had a problem. I'm hooked and can't wait for the next issue to come out each month.

Print subscriber should equal ipad access. I am a new print hgtv subscriber. After I pass the magazine on to my family, I like to still have access on my ipad. ALL of my other print subscriptions allow me free access digitally, why not this??? Be warned before you download the 'free' app. You will have to pay twice to read it, once with paper subscription and again digitally.

Can't download purchases.. I have gone to paper versions of all magazines I read. I have also cut back on the amount of them I order. I've gone from 3 fashion magazines to one. I only read one tech magazine rather than 2 and I've decided to keep Real Simple and get rid of HGTV all because of the poor updates. I can't download issues I've purchased on multiple magazines genres. I will also not be buying a new iPad because I only use it for reading. When this one dies Oh well!

Horrible!!!. So after waiting FOREVER for January's issue to become available, the app won't let me download it!!!! The app won't recognize my subscription, but it recognizes it when it's time to collect the money!! After troubleshooting a million times, I just cancelled my subscription. It's a shame because I really liked this mag. Not worth the hassle though. Back to Better Homes and Gardens I go...

Constant problem. I love this magazine but find the digital subscription to be the biggest pain in the neck of any of the 200+ apps that I use. Each time I try to update my subscription it tells me my password is incorrect. I request a new password, receive it in seconds, enter it and am told either the e-mail or password is incorrect! Request another password, same scenario. I go through this every month and then it will finally work. My time is valuable to me and the extra money I spent to receive the digital has been a waste!

App is forcing me to upgrade to a version everyone says doesn't work!. Love the magazine but app needs bookmarking abilities. Also, I cannot buy any new issues without upgrading the app but all the reviews say the upgrade crashes and doesn't work. Help! I'm not going to upgrade or purchase any more issues until these problems are fixed.

Horrible update. What a terrible new version. Lacks the feel of a paper magazine, which I liked. Feels like a bad PowerPoint with poorly laid out sections. To cap off a subpar experience was the accidental swiping away from the magazine and into an advertiser's website, then pressing "Done" 20 times to go back. I've been a digital-only subscriber for years but this new version is so lacking I don't know if I care to continue.

Good reads. There is always something interesting in every issue. Not everything is something you may want to try but rest assured that it will come up in one of the issues. There is something for everybody.

Basic...and now broken. The content is good enough, but the presentation is basic and tedious in this iPad format. Zooming in on screen captures without any bonus content is lame. You may as well be reading a PDF. And now since the last update, the app won't load on my iPad at all. I can't restore previous purchases or get new issues to load. I've tried deleting it and reinstalling and it makes no difference. Don't waste your time, or money.

Favorite App. I've been reading HGTV mag for several years, and have watched it really get better and better over time. I prefer to read it on my iPad rather than paper--more fun!

Same issue as others are having. I am experiencing the same issue with the app that others are reporting - though logged in and subscribed, it only shows the Buy button. Customer service was no help - they only sent instructions on how to log in, which I already was. Solved it myself by deleting and redownloading app though, so hope this helps.

Terrible upgrade, can no longer enjoy the magazine. Overall, this app turns HGTV from one of the best magazine reading experiences (it looked and read just like the magazine, very responsive) to one of the worst (slow-loading, scrolling as well as page turning, etc.) Worst of all: all the swiping causes many ads to open unintentionally, and YOU CAN'T CLOSE THEM. I had to re-install the app twice. Avoid this publication until it's fixed.

Wish it Were Better. I have a number of digital magazine subscriptions and my biggest problem with the Hearst magazines is the amount of time it takes when you open the app to access the magazine. Once inside an issue, I find I have to tap several times to get back to the homepage. I also don't understand why a new edition can be on the stand for days before I can download. I like having access to my subscriptions before they hit the store shelves, that's one of the primary benefits of having a subscrption.

Dysfunctional app. I've never seen a more dysfunctional app. I was so excited for my subscription on my iPad and now I regret it. Ridiculous that every month I'm forced to delete the app and reinstall it to get the subscription. If I don't, the app tells me I need to purchase the magazine or view a preview. This is unacceptable HGTV. As far as I'm concerned, this should be the number one item on your next release. I'm contemplating canceling my subscription. Such a waste of time.

Needs some bug fixes. I am having trouble opening the app to look at my magazines. After I click on it, it comes up for less than 2 seconds and then goes right back to my app menu like I had never tried to open it. Other than that, it's pretty good...when I can open it!

Subscription required even for print subscribers?!?. I understand how one might have to subscribe if your not already a paying customer but I have the print subscription and I'd like to be able to view my issues on my iPad. I enjoy the feel of paper magazines & books but the convenience of digital. This needs to be fixed, I like most others, see no reason to pay for something I already pay for. Disappointing.

Not renewing. It is ridiculous that you have to purchase twice to have a print and digital version of same magazine. It would be okay if there were a small additional charge for digital access, but that is not an option. I paid a lesser charge to have mag on Zinio magazine app, but the quality if very poor compared to the Ipad app. And for Hearst to advertise that it is free is classic bait and switch, because only the viewer is free - you then have to pay for the magazine content. Unacceptable and leaves a bad taste for a long time.

Free Whining. People kill me with the whining about magazines not being free. Get a clue! How often can you go into a grocery store and get a magazine free just because you put it in your cart?? The READER is free, it keeps your magazines organized and provides the means to notify you when an issue is available, archive your old issues and manage your bookmarks!
