Review. I am using this app to help teach my Honors Lunch students and they get super frustrated when the screen freezes and it buffers all the time

Great App!. The Socrative app is great! I'm a college student and have been impressed at how well it aids my professor in the learning process. This past semester, it was used in class to gauge how well the students were understanding Chemistry concepts. We answered multiple choice questions for practice problems. The way my professor used Socrative worked very well, and I would highly recommend it.

No auto correct. I’ll be typing and it won’t put apostrophes and stuff like that. It gets suuuuuper annoying.

Horrible app. This app does not support multitasking and also makes it a pain to switch between apps. If it wasn’t required for a class, I would not use it.

Just a lil’ Easter egg I found. The “enter name” section uses examples from Doctor Who Tyler, Rose Oswald, Clara Harkness, Jack I just thought that was kinda cool. Didn’t expect to see references like that in a school app!!

This app made me cry!. When it says to enter name a lot of the names are from Doctor Who. Today in class I went to log on and it said “Tyler,Rose” I started crying because she’s my favorite companion. I loved her run with 10. The girl who waited was the next name. Way to take me on an emotional Doctor Who rollercoaster today.

THIS APP WORKS GREAT!!!. People who are using this app and leaving reviews are using it wrong. My history teacher uses this for quizzes during class. They give you a room number and you type it in. They set up a quiz and you automatically get sent to it after you type in your name. Please understand how Socrative works before writing reviews on it. It works just how it's suppose to. It is not Quizlet or anything like that. This is for school purposes only for your teacher when they want to give a quiz and quickly grade it!

The internet is better than the app. My students cannot access the split screen on their iPad while in the app. Most every app has updated with the iOS. Socrative has not.

This app need further development. I have used this app in class to take attendance and it is nothing but problems. It converts to Spanish and I cannot read the questions. And it does not take my attendance.

People giving this app 1 star aren't using the app correctly. My teacher (high school economics) uses Socrative everyday! It's the first thing we do when we get in his room. We complete a 5 question "quiz" on socrative. Usually later in the hour he'll put 20-30 questions reviews on socrative. Teachers-this is a GREAT resource, it's helped me score higher on tests. A great feature is also "space race" tons of fun!

Absolutely brilliant for the classroom!. This app has changed my classroom. It enables instant feedback to be given to the students and to me as the classroom teacher. I love it and use it multiple times every day in my classroom. The exit pass enable me to plan my next lessons. All the latest research points to feedback having the biggest impact on student learning. This app enables teachers to do this.

Stunning. This was amazing. Used it for a trivia night. Went off without a hitch. You can only connect 50 people to the quiz at any one time, but it got the job done exactly as I was hoping. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

Socrative in the iPad classroom. Love this app, especially for use in classroom with 1:1 device ratio. Great way for students' responses to be submitted and graphed quickly, for all to see, with safety net of apparent anonymity, i.e. only the teacher knows who got it right and wrong! In future version, more types of graph would be appreciated, e.g. pie chart.

App icon says teacher instead of student. I downloaded the blue student version and it lets me do the quizzes but the app icon is blue with the word teacher on it, even though it’s not the orange teacher version.

Great. I'm a student and I could never get online to get to my classroom but the app makes it easy to access. I can also say that some of the reviews talk about how it's bad because they say they need a room number, well you kinda need one and you get it from your teacher. So don't try the example west because it won't work

The aids of the appstore. This sad excuse of an app will glitch out and make u fail your test all the time. Also, the user interface is so crappy that I could make a better one myself and I'm just a sophomore in high school. Stop focusing on doctor who references and start making this piece of garbage useful.

Amazing. great app we started using this at my school & it actually makes me want to learn & I don't feel the need to sleep. Not only that but I'm actually paying attention at the same time & learning.

My mom and dad are getting a divorce. Okay guyz, let me tell you about this here app. My teacher makes me use this way too much and it makes me want to cry. I was on the way to school this morning and I momentarily thought about wrecking my car, but then I thought about Pepe and it gave me a reason to keep going. Anyways, this isn't bad.

Engaging. This app is a great way for students to learn, whether its individually or together as groups, the multiple choice setup helps in critical thinking in a group setting, my physics professor used this app and helped us get familiar with the material.

Love It!. I absolutely love this app. Students are engaged completing the same quizzes they despised with pencil and paper. The only issue I have is if a student runs out of time and needs to end the quiz there is no option to do so, thus resulting in he or she clicking something quickly and getting it wrong. Also if they don't log out and another teacher uses the device their is not an option to log out from that screen either. If we could get exiting or logging out at those times as an option....it would be perfect!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much!

The new update has ruined it. Socrative was extremely helpful and useful in many quiz situations for both the teacher and the student, but now it is extremely clunky and unattractive. The answers are constantly confusing in the format and you can't even see if you got a question right anymore. The new update has ruined the idea of a clean and good experience of an online quiz. Do not use this app, it has way too many bugs and is very frustrating at every turn.

Once good, now atrocious. Me and my classmates used to use this app as a learning device for school, but ever since y'all "upgraded" it, it has performed as well as newt gengrich's campaign plan. My teacher has just rejected the app altogether and will never use it again until the later version is put back on the App Store.

Works fine. Used this app in a class and it worked fine, had no connection issues. It is efficient way to test students but they must have a smartphone or some type of a computer.

Improvement. Let students change answers. So if they press the wrong thing they can change it!!!

Great. I love this app. I love the exit ticket. It allows students to respond honestly without fear of how their peers will view them for not understanding. I wish there was a back button for students to review their quizzes. Otherwise I like it.

Skip it (from a teacher). This was a very useful tool until version 2.0 was rolled out in October 2013. The interface was quick, clean, and easy to use. The upgrade erased all of my pictures linked to questions, the interface is slow and clunky, and features that used to work now don't. Why can't good products be left alone? I don't have time to repair all the tests I made over the last year!

Doctor who!. We use the app for in class quizzes and it work just fine. I love the doctor who references.

Bad idea👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻. I would NOT recommend this app!Sure it's a good idea but it glitches way to much. Sometimes it says that you clicked the wrong answer but you clicked the answer even though the app says that it's correct. It also freezes and never even says ur final grade. I'm all about my middle school going electronic and letting us use our phones in class, but this app is just a way to lower ur grade. It's easier to understand the question on paper too. If u enter the unit in the answer or even a comma it's also counted wrong. Either fix the app or don't buy it.😡😡😡

A few noticeable bugs. There are a few bugs in this program that the kids in my class and even my teacher have noticed - Skipping - sometimes questions in the given quizzes are skipped. - Connection - sometimes when people try to connect to a quiz it will take a awhile or we may have to use some one else's iPad.

Needs work, has potential to be great!!. I’m a teacher and I love how this app allows me to get immediate feedback from my students! All of my students have ipads. My only complaints are that if I have more than 20 students on at the same time, the app often crashes for some. It is not a bandwidth issue at school (the bandwidth is like 10 times more than what we need for the amount of students) so I’m wondering if it is an issue with the app (turns white, can’t do anything on it, even after restarting the app… often need to restart the ipad entirely and that doesn’t always guarantee that it will work… Socrative seems to work better for my smaller classes). For the most part it works very well. I don’t like the teacher design aspect on the desktop version, its a little clunky, not so user friendly, a feature you would expect to be with others isn’t… its kind of strangely laid out. Also, I preferred part of Socrative beta that allowed you to go between questions, or go out of order. I would like to see them return that feature to the app. But I don’t like the beta version other than that at all and I had a lot of trouble with the multiple choice sections with my students. I hope there will be an update soon! Also on the teacher end I would REALLY prefer to have the student and question on the report flipped, so that the students’ names appear at the top and the questions on the side. Good app. This app seems really useful. I just wish I could include pictures and audio files in questions.

Super Easy!. This app was super easy to use and really fun. I was able to answer questions right on my phone and see them displayed on the projector along with other scores too.

UI could be better. It looks too much like the browser version. Why get an app that can do exactly what a browser can?

Annoying. This app is great for class my teachers love to use it the only problem is it is really annoying that it is only portrait and not landscape. It would be much easier to enjoy if you could also use it in the landscape setting on the iPad.

Simple and Fun. The user interface is simple and intuitive. The space race makes formative assessment fun for students. Plus, it's free!

The app crashes. The app is great and great for interaction. However, every time I try logging in during class the app crashes and the screen turns white. I have even tried deleting and downloading the app again and turning my phone on and off again but nothing works. Fix the bugs.

Awesome. Awesome! Works great, especially in the classroom. However, I would suggest a few things for the next update. One important thing would be landscape support. More importantly though, when you answer a question on a quiz, it should ask if you are sure, just in case you accidentally tapped the wrong answer. The same should go for the logout button; ask if you are sure you wan to log out.

Great idea, but a bit buggy. Love the idea of this app, but the student app keeps locking on me. I found it easier to simply log on to Socrative via Safari.

Helpful but needs to allow horizontal view. If you have a keyboard with your iPad (like I do) it would be much easier to write the questions if I could see them on the screen when turned landscape, instead of portrait view. Excited to use this with my class.
