Moonbeam. The app works great. I’m glad we’re over 590 ft. Above sea level. We Took it to the Atlantic Ocean n it read 3 ft. Above sea level! Even in our house, it showed the difference between the floor n ceiling, of around 7 ft. I love the app when traveling!!

Great app. I’ve been using this app for a few years and am very impressed. It’s very accurate and you don’t get ads covering up the screen (they are small and at the bottom).

Useful app. This is a simple, compact, useful app that does exactly what it is supposed to do. The interface is clean, and the available options cover most situations. It does not allow for alarms or notifications at selectable preset elevations, however, which would be a useful additional feature (developer…?). My partner suffers from altitude illness, and having the ability to set an alert of some sort at a preset altitude, say 9,000 feet or whatever one wants, would be nice.

Almost great. This app is great but the only feature it is missing is search feature. You can browse the map but can’t search by name on the map. Also when you open the map it does not zoom to your location automatically. You need to pinch from whole US to your location which is cumbersome.

Great for Scientific Documentation. Taking a picture with My Altitude records the exact coordinates, time, altitude and even the weather! Very helpful for quickly making a record that can be saved, printed and referred back to for completing verifiable documentation. Also fun for traveling and just whenever I am curious about My Altitude! Thank you for creating this accurate and reliable app and for providing it at absolutely no cost.

Sea level to 13,000+ feet not a problem. We visit the island of Hawaii frequently. When driving from one side of the island to another this app matched the roadside elevation markers within a few feet every time. From the beach to Mauna Kea it doesn’t miss a beat. Pretty fun little app!

Nice. I bought this app to use on my new Watch Ultra 2. It is simple to use and is more or less accurate. It would be nice to be able to adjust the barometric pressure setting to the local baro setting if it is CCD available in the area where you are to make the altitude more accurate.

App on top always on watch - revised. I like the new capability on the watch, but the app is always on top. I don’t want it on top all the time. When I lift my wrist I want to see my watch face, not the altitude every time. Kudos. They fixed the foreground bug. Now it is a great useful app.

Cannot change to Imperial.. I had a bit of trouble switching to Imperial at the beginning but, worked it out. It has everything you need to know about your current location. It has altitude, position,berametric pressure, weather, water boiling point, wind direction and speed. Amazing❤️

Know Your Space. This app helps you be aware of your surroundings more so than most. Your altitude is fun to know but your weather is the most important. This app answers so many of your questions such as should you continue on late in the day? Is it safe to be out on the road by yourself? How much daylight do you have left? What distance can you travel in a day? I am sure you will think of many more.

Perfect for my altitude sensitivity. Once I figured out why I feel weird when we travel certain areas out west, near the Rockies, this app eases my mind that my symptoms are just altitude and not something more serious.

Road-trip without “Service “. Just downloaded this app while on a road-trip through several mountainous states, ie: infrequent service. This app worked every single time! Highly recommend!

Thrilled. I can't say enough good about this app. It has helped me track locations of every point I'm checking every day. Cutting down my time in the field by several hours every day. Glad to have this on my phone.

Great Help!. My husband gets altitude sickness so this app has helped us to keep an eye on the elevation! I love being able to leave it open on my iPhone and checking in. It keeps up with where we are.

Great App 👍. I was on a family vacation my family touring the National Parking out west and we were changing elevations regularly . So when I had a good connection I went to the Apple App Store and found this one. It worked great !!!! Any time I could compare it with printed documents it was spot one. I highly recommend this App.

Geologist Mike. This is a great app! I wish I would’ve have had it when I purchased the house I now own. I would have never purchased the house which I now know that is doomed to flood in the future!

Great travel app!. Really fun and useful app for car travel, particularly for those with possible health issues! Really interesting to see different elevations and compare towns. I loved it when we traveled through the Rocky Mountain West.

Needs improvement. Unfortunately My Altimeter fails to show ALTITUDE if “Location” is turned OFF in the paired iPhone, something one would commonly do to limit battery drain. I had expected My Altimeter to automatically switch from altituude imputed from GOS to the Watch’s built-in miniature barometer but apparently it does not. Then getting everything reset requires an off-on Watch reboot. Exasperating! Hopefully a revision will improve this serious flaw.

Quick, simple altitude info. Doing lots of hikes and treks, especially in remote areas without detailed maps, it’s been very handy to pull this guy up and immediately know the altitude. Such a simple and clever design, it truly brings me joy every time I use it.

TechComm “F”. The first rule of technical communications is to never assume anything about your audience/reader. I downloaded the app the find out the sea level for my location. I opened the app and there is a number across the top with a dozen other numbers below. Am I supposed to somehow magically know that the number on top is the relative sea level? There is no indication what this number represents! Also, I switched from metric to imperial and the temperature remained in Celsius.

Looking for a mountain house. We are currently looking for a summer home in the NC mountains and would like to be at 3000 ft elevation or higher. This app gives us that info while we are looking at a particular home. Early stages but it’s working well thus far.

Candy Maker. I use My Altitude multiple times per day to check the boiling point. As a chocolatier, boiling point is critical so that our fudge doesn’t get too soft or too brittle. This app does the trick.

Quickly fixed and back to being a great app!. They had a glitch with May 2024 update for iOS 17.5. They fixed it within a day or so. Thanks!

Almost perfect. This app is amazing and incredibly useful when I’m documenting a hike or trail maintenance. The photos contain a watermark showing long/lat but to make this app perfect, the photo also needs that information encoded in the photo’s EXIF data, too. Right now, when I look at a photograph from this app, the EXIF embedded location data is empty. Fix that and I’ll rate the app another star.

Accurate App. I have used this app especially on my high altitude climbs. It also allows you to take a picture with the current altitude and coordinates.

Has a lot of features but Barometer is not accurate. This app has a lot of features. The altitude information is correct, however the barometer is not. It does not match the numbers coming from my device, probably because they're not adjusted for elevation. However, it is advertised for altitude and that seems to be accurate.

Nice app. While visiting the western US I used this app to track our elevation and location. It has a nice feature of taking a photograph with a small title block that provides Lat, Lon, and elevation. Great for sharing with friends or simply recording a location.

One of my favorite apps. Especially for being in the mountains. Quick altitude check and then being able to take a picture with the altitude and latitude and longitude is really awesome.

Love it!. My husband and I have been on a month long road trip in western US. Love this app. Easy to use accurate and quick.

Awesome App Love It!. I live in Jackson, Wyoming and use this to see how much altitude I can hike in a day. My wish would be that the app could list daily altitude totals, calculate steps and track calories. Thanks for a great App!

Works perfectly every time. While hiking - there are many times we have no access to cellular service. This app works without cell or WiFi service. Love it

Watch face complication to include altitude. App is great. Can u get the altitude on the complication on Apple Watch. Right now i have to touch it and it opens the app on the watch. Instead if u can show the altitude on the watch face itself I can take a look at it in a glance. Plus the app symbol on the watch face complication makes the face look weird. Having the altitude right on the face makes more sense. Thanks for the app Cheers

Accurate, fast. I am interested in my elevation to help describe the e oo regions I travel through. This app is fast, accurate and interesting to view on the fly.

iPad need better device measurement. This app is constantly varying at 200 feet from the same location. In the mountains of NC this is s significant issue. The iPhone version appears to be more consistently in measurement. Both Apple devices are on iOS 14.2 version for each device. This issue has been constant since iOS 12.

Sea level calc is wrong. My husband and I are sitting next to each other on the couch. We both pull up the application. His says we are at 36 ft above sea level which is spot on. Mine says 56ft. I looked at him and said it must think I am sitting on the roof. It has been this way for a month. We are both running with the same settings on an iPhone 13 Pro. It is basically useless.

Works well. I use it quite often where there is no service. It works even in airplane mode and seems reasonably accurate.

Taking a road trip to Colorado?. This is a must have app if taking a road trip to Colorado (along with an O2 meter). It’s vital for you to know your altitude and oxygen levels (especially the first 3-4 days in high altitude environments).

A “Richie 🐝Bee” Review. This is very useful application. It’s great to see a close approximation of the exact altitude while traveling or hiking. If you have health related issues or are just interested from an information perspective, it is all good. The information screen is well laid out and easy to read as well. Also, the developers have put a lot of thought in this useful application that I’ve used for over 2 years now. Thanks for reading my review and thanks to the developers for keeping it up to date. Actually works, is legit. I dont review apps often but I will this one. We're roaming around central and SW Colorado and this app is within a handful of feet of posted signs, and is probably even more accurate. If reviews are going to be a part of your determination process as to whether you get this app, I hope this review nudges you this way. It's an awesome app and has earned a permanent place in my phone.

Barometric Pressure Not Adjusted For Height Above Sea Level. For anyone that is trying to use this application for accurate weather forecasting via use of barometer, the application is not calibrating based on height above sea level. This is critical for anyone taking part in outdoor activity where you want to check the current barometric pressure against a weather GRIB forecast predicted barometric pressure. By comparing the current pressure against forecast pressure you can validate if the weather is coming in faster, slower, or as expected ... super important if you're taking part in an activity where you’re at risk due to heavy weather The mean height above sea level feature does work well, and I validated height accuracy with other applications and station data, so I’ll keep the application for this data set to calibrate my barometer in another app. But the barometric pressure in this app is off by over 10mb for my location which makes the barometer in this application useless for practical purposes. I can confirm the reading given is sea level barometric pressure. Highly recommend the Starparh Marine Barometer for accurate barometric pressure readings to those whose wellbeing is correlated to what the weather is doing. Just plug in the height above sea level value and the application will calibrate barometric pressure for you.

Simple and useful. I live in Colorado and roadtrip around the region often so this is great for keeping an eye on elevation changes. I would give it 5 stars if this app supported the new iOS 14-style Widgets. I’d love to be able to stack it with other widgets so that I can hide it without deleting the widget when I am home and my elevation isn’t changing. I’d also be cool if it had CarPlay support but I understand why that might more work that it is worth, considering Apple and Google Maps could easily make the feature obsolete by including the Altitude on their Navigation screens.

Best Altitude App. Easy to use, more than enough information, and accurate. The best part is the photo function.

Requires tracking across multiple apps for ads. I’ve been using this app for a while and loved it. However, a recent update requires me to allow app to track me across multiple apps to create personalized advertising. There is no pay option or option to decline this. So won’t ever use this again.

Best thing since sliced bread!!!!!. I Love this app!!!!!! I am a traveling Site Superintendent and I’ve used this app for over 2 years now. They do not email me or bug me to death!!!!! It’s not loaded with pop up advertisements that inhibit its use and is very accurate! I deal with elevations for a living so it’s nice when you drive across this Beautiful diverse landscape of The USA to see what the elevation is. Thanks for actually not lying on your description of the site!!!!!! Great job!!!!!!

Fabulous App. We have done a lot of traveling across the United States. This app has helped us be prepared for changing temperatures that relate to change in altitudes. We also use it when we go exploring Alpine Lakes. We now know how high we are common even when we get no service this app works. It is wonderful.

Altitude. This app is the best not only does it give you the height, it also gives you other information like air psi and boiling points

Pete1077. This is so inaccurate. Variations in altitude of up to 100 mtrs and every refresh it changes. This needs a lot more work to make it worthwhile.

Inaccurate altitude. Selected a point on my property which has been surveyed by a registered land surveyor at 53m above sea level, app shows 18m altitude, 35m difference, not good. Have also tried a few more known places and they to are off by large numbers.

Looks good until u refresh. Uses gps to establish coordinates and then provides the corresponding elevation - or so it seems until u hit refresh and though the coordinates remain the same, the elevation changes (every time). Variations of up to 300m in a handful of refreshes seconds apart! Just as well it's free to to download and just as free to delete.

Fails the most important test. Main shows a lot of useful info but is somewhat cluttered. Free version ads are unobtrusive. Deal breaker is inaccuracy on initial installation. Reading 650m at location of known 780m altitude. Not good enough for intended purpose.

Does what it says and well. Works well for me. Shows GPS lat and long and altitude as it promised and displays on the Apple Watch as well You can get this info in the compass app but you have to calibrate first by rotating A minor beef. I can set metric on the iPhone but it will only display imperial on watch

Wildly inaccurate. Just tested this app and its readings were out by over 10m using the device measurements and out by over 100m using the data file measurements when compared to the AHD (Australian height datum - official survey record).

No Ads. Paid for the upgrade to rid app of ads, still have ads and no way of removing them. Too many app providers are having this problem, we pay money they get we keep the ads. When does the word fraud come into plat.

Altitude. Walking our water line that is gravity fed on a hillside, got higher altitudes as I went down the line. Not happy with +-6 meters the reading should of been very close but weren’t. Not very useful in anyway

Nice, but tolerances are wrong. Good app does everything it should and nice and clean to use. The tolerance shown on the barometric compared to data files can't be right. Both say within 5m but are approximately 20m apart.

Something is wrong with planet Earth... This app has told me that I have just gone from +8 meters above sea level to -3 meters below in the space of minutes while I'm sitting next to the ocean. It's a great idea but obviously poorly executed... unless the Earth really is sinking 🤔

Great app. Great interface and good enough accuracy

Very Accurate. Compared the displayed parameters against other known accurate apps and against our local weather station. Impressed at the accuracy and clean, clear presentation of all data. If it contained a small speed reading that would make it complete.

Phishing. Initial impression was good then it Popped up a blue link to take me to the web site, resulting in a page saying my apple account had won and asked where I wanted my new iPad sent to. Poorly disguised phishing. I have uninstalled.

Display makes no sense. Why on earth are altitude and pressure displayed with 2 decimal places accuracy??? As a general rule, they should be displayed only as far as they're actually precise. Eg if the uncertainty is +/- 1m then don't blindly show 66.00m, just 66m is all you can say. It gets even worse in feet with 9015.37 ft +/- 14.53 ft... Quit it with the 2dp, it's just clutter. 9015ft +/- 14ft is just as accurate and useful, and less cluttered/misleading. Pressures are even worse!! I'm pretty sure any more than 3 significant figures is impossible with the sensors available. And why show Pa, hPa and kPa? It's just clutter, stick to kPa and simplify the display (and again, seriously, you're telling me the pressure to the nearest 0.01 Pascals? I don't think so...) Latitude and longitude are the only ones that should be so precise... In fact I'm not sure you've even gone precise enough! But weirdly you've put the error in ft/m for the location in degrees... What a mess!

Helpful tool. I am a touring cyclist and it is interesting to know the altitude of the places I stop at and can compare the amount of ups and downs I’ve risen through to get to that point.

Watch app. Watch app works but will not refresh. Taking second reading requires app to be restarted after forced termination of app or watch restart.

Very rough numbers only. Was going to use this to get some ideas for tiling some of my acreage. That requires some degree of accuracy. While sitting still it varies by 10 feet or more. Going up one flight of stairs registered between 20 to 40 feet of increased elevation. (No, my house isn't that big). On one trip down the stairs it registered the elevation as increasing! Not for me.

Great app but 1 bug.. Doesn’t show Barometric pressure in inches of Mercury. You can set it in the settings but doesn’t show on the display.

Awesome informative app.. The only thing I wish could change with this app is the stats that appear in my iPhone widget area. Currently the display is (top to bottom) altitude, coordinates, barometric pressure, and lastly waters boiling point. Why isn’t weather info in the widget screen? We really don’t need waters boiling point in the widget area. I want weather and wind details in the widget screen, only then will I pay for the app to get adds free. I hope it happens.

Fun and simple. I love being able to get quick and fairly accurate altitude info from two concurrent data sources. Sometimes it takes a BIT to stabilize the days but it's worth the wait.

Fun to see the differing boiling points of water. Great little app, very accurate.

Only works for your present location. This app does not do what I needed, which was to provide the altitude of a given set of GPS coordinates. I will keep on looking.

Adequate :). It does what I expect it to do and gives me the environmental information that I require on location. Though, It would be nice if it also had some additional integration with the "weather channel app" with weather information such as moisture level in the air, wind speed, as well as weather forecasts.

My Altitude. This app is useful in its free configuration however I think most of its elevations are off.

Not worth the download. I have been hiking in the mountains for many years and my very old Garmin GPS never failed me. Due to the high replacement cost I decided to do a download and try it out on a recent very challenging excursion. I can’t tell you to save your money because it is free but don’t bother with the download. I accessed and descended hundreds of feet without any reliable change.

Very useful living on the coast. I needed this info while looking for a property. Seems very accurate.

It is good once you understand it. There’s a lot to look at and figure out what all the gauges are for. But nice once you do.

Review. Once the user sets the zone that covers their map I found this app to be very accurate during my trek in Alaska.

Can someone explain. Why does My Altitude keep changing when I am not moving? It’s kind of confusing.

Works with satellite 🙌🏼. Even when I didn’t have service or data, this was using satellite to hook me up.

My altitude app. A lot of fun,I live in the foothills of the Rockies & from downtown to my house is an elevation gain of 700ft. I live at 6k and downtown is obviously 5,300 ft. It’s fun to see the changes in altitude. Thanks for the app.

Does more than expected. I live, work and playin the mountain west. Have guessed at the altitude many times by judging that I was below X and above Y so I must be … This tells me the altitude within a few feet. It also helps with coordinates An added extra is the boiling point of water a huge help when cooking My only question is why I waited so long before I loaded the app.

Requires tracking across multiple apps for ads. I’ve been using this app for a while and loved it. However, a recent update requires me to allow app to track me across multiple apps to create personalized advertising. There is no pay option or option to decline this. So won’t ever use this again.

New update doesn’t work. New update causes app to crash please fix this?

Amazing and precise. This does a lot scientifically that other apps don't. Within seconds of downloading it I was accurately measuring elevation and other facts.

Still not fixed !!!!!!. It works again on my watch, but even after a delete from the watch and reinstall, it still does not even load there. It’s still stalls out, and I primarily bought this for my watch,

Works as expected. Simple but effective. Never had any issues. Works without wifi which is great on trails and climbs.

Works Exactly as Stated!!!. This app works exactly as stated and when I compared to my Garmin it was perfect. I can’t stand ads so if interested it’s only $0.99 without ads.

Thanks for the quick fix!. Most recent update fixes the crash bug I was experiencing on iOS 17.5.1. Much appreciated and rapid response.

Me. The app is not accurate enough at lower elevations. I’m looking for a house by the ocean but I want to find one that has a little bit more elevation and the app is not accurate enough.

Cannot view live data on watch face complication. I wish the app would show live data on the watch face complication. You have to open the app to view the data.

One of the best!. I use this app all the time when visiting new places. Never lets me down.

absolutely useless. I never leave reviews but I’m trying to use this app to see where I am sea level wise for the hurricane coming. i’m sitting in the same spot opening and closing the app it says something different literally every time i open it I don’t know what to think now I don’t trust this app It has me very confused

Delivers. This apps works well and seems to be accurate. If Altitude is what you need look no further.

Great Looking and Useful. Nice app. Looks great on iPhone and Apple Watch. One major feature it’s lacking is an Apple Watch Complication that shows real time altimeter data. Would be 5 stars if it had the complication.

Inaccurate. There’s a lot of data for location weather but the main point behind the app and the title of the app is elevation at which a baseline Check is off by close to 10 feet highly in accurate and reliable more of a novelty

Good app!. I’m happy with this thing. The device measures are more accurate than the data, for some reason.

Travel. I am really enjoying this tool while traveling Ecuador. Checking the equator and the altitude at various locations.

Flood zone determination. Using historical data for comparisons this app is great for finding out if your house/lot is likely to be flooded in a future hurricane.
