Wow. Fooled again.. So I’ve just downloaded this app, and was excited to use the metal amps, like the loomis or even the orange amp and come to find out they aren’t available. Wether you have to actually BUY them or you have to do something to access them is beyond me. I’ve been fooled again by these mobile amplifier apps, it’s all a money hungry system. Even the preloaded presets sounded terrible. I’ll stick to my amp sims on my MacBook that I’m not forced to pay to play.

Outstanding and Unmatched. It's rare that an app designer makes me WANT to give them more of my money. Positive Grid, as a company, just gets it. All of their apps offer outstanding value. JamUp Pro XT offers an excellent and diverse array of spot-on amp sims and effects. On the infrequent occasions I've needed it, I found their customer service to be very responsive. By contrast, before discovering JamUp, I used AmpliTube. The other app is pretty good too (though JamUp is better), but IK Multimedia's propensity for nickel and diming its customers (silly things like charging twice for the same app if you want it on your iPad and iPod Touch) forced me to look more closely at JamUp. I'm so glad I switched. If you're a guitar player who owns an iPad, and you don't own JamUp, you're seriously missing out on something very cool.

Great tones... Limited midi control. I will say that the tones and effect options available within this app are second to none. The only thing keeping me from going full on with it in a live environment is the limited midi control capability. You can turn effects and amps on and off and change presets easily, but the only controls that can be changed while engaged are volume and Wah/whammy. If there was more flexible midi control of effect parameters, and the ability to allow delay and reverb tails to continue after effects are turned off, then I would replace my live rig for bar gigs completely and just use this app. As it stands, this is fun for home use, but the limited control makes it fall short of its potential.

Frustrating issue that needs to be fixed. Still unable to playback what I recorded. I can’t hear ANYTHING and am very confused I got the volume turned up I got the loop on I got all the gains on everything is on. I miss using that reverse delay effect that I purchased in the app I want to use it again so bad but I can’t because of this weird problem 😭oh can you Please fix what’s going on here? Try uninstalling reinstalling thing doesn’t appear to work

Holy cow!!!. Blown away by the free app. Not sure I could handle the pro app. I don’t think there is a more accurate representation of a plexi on any of these type of apps! Great job!! The tone is pretty amazing even through my cheap headphones!

iPhone X update. Love the app. But how about fitting it to the iPhone X screen?

Stop working. It was great for our family Violin fun and training, but it just stopped working, and does not play anything more. I tried support, nothing… tried in-install and re-install, nothing… tried turn on and off the cell phone, and nothing. I have an IPhone13 and sadly it’s not working I hope in some point they will solve this issue Ahhh, the paid version, didn’t work too, so I asked for refund, and I’m waiting for it Please, make it work again Thanks

Not what I expected. I have tried many times to lay tracks on 8-Track. Every time I do there is terrible clicking present in the playback. Wish positive Grid would fix that issue. I also cannot get looping to work at all.

Unbelievable!. I haven't used a whole ton of modeling software or processors, but everything I have used absolutely pales in comparison to JamUp Pro XT. If you're a guitar player of any style and you don't have this yet, you have no idea what you're missing. The more I use it, the more ways I find that I can benefit from it. I originally got it just thinking it would be a great practice tool, but it is SO much more than that. I can't believe how realistic most of these amps "feel" when I play them. Plus, having access to more gear than I could ever afford in real life is a great way to getout of this creative rut that I've been in. I know AxeFx or Kemper are the way to go for this kind of thing on a pro level, but I don't have thousands of dollars laying around right now for me to go that way. This is worth every penny I've spent at the very least.

Not happy!. I downloaded the free app and then purchased the bass expansion pack. From the beginning it had problems with distorted sound and low volume levels. Then after apple issued an iOS 9 update to my iPad Air 2, the app stopped working. I contacted Positive Grid and they tried to help me, but still have not been able to get it working again. Apple issued a patch(9.3.1) to fix some problems that were causing apps to stop working and the app did start working again, however despite backing up my plug-ins, they were missing and I can't get them back. I can't even buy them a second time because the app store won't let me and neither will the Positive Grid website. In the meantime they have my money and I have an app that doesn't work.

Awesome Amp Simulating App!. I use JamUp Pro with my MBox Mini 3 plugged into a powered USB hub that is plugged into my iPad 4 via Apple's CCK. It sounds Awesome. I plug my powered monitors into the MBox out jacks at home for great sound and at church I connect the MBox out jacks to the PA system. It sounds perfect. The people that are complaining about not enough volume and unwanted distortion must be using a guitar interface that plugs into the headphone jack, like the iRig. It sounded bad on mine too using the iRig but with the MBox it sounds GREAT. This is my first ever app review but with the few complaints on the sound quality I just had to let them know, it's not the app, it's the interface they are using.

Not Working???. I have the app plugged into the iRig and everything and there is absolutely no sound coming out. I've scanned through every setting and can't seem to find the problem. Guitar and iRig works fine with other apps, wish I understood how other people are getting it fine???

Cool app but bad support response. I like the app and effects. I've bought a few effects add-ons. I also bought a Griffin Stompbox pedal to use with it and it's weird trying to understand some aspect of how the switching works between the Stompbox and JamUp effects. I've emailed them twice last year about it and never got a response or acknowledgement. So good luck if you can't figure something out and need help and can't find other users with the same problem in their forum.

Better than my small rig. This app has all you need for only 20 bucks... that’s a seller right there, get this app and an interface to plug in your guitar, you won’t be disappointed!

Sounds pretty decent. Sound is pretty decent for what it is. Playback of songs to play along with sound like they are playing in a tin can though.

Best practice app. This is hands down my favorite app for learning songs by ear. The tones are sufficient, but the combination of an A/B looper and the ability to slow tracks down makes this the best practice companion I’ve found.

Won’t open after most recent iPhone update. Sadly this app is no longer opening after I recently updated my iPhone. I deleted and downloaded it again but it still won’t work. It’s kind of a drag because I enjoyed this app very much.

Why so much feedback?!. I don’t understand how there can be any feedback while using earbuds. And using an external speaker? - forget about it! If you want a decent amount of distortion it squeals like a Ned Beaty in Deliverance.

Really fun!. Pretty fun stuff! Sounds really good out of the box and sounds even better with more tweaking! I’d be careful if you have active pickups...sometimes it’s too hot for the app and you get a really loud screeching feedback sound. But overall really neat! I use an irig2 into my iPhone SE. I do recommend getting the bias app with this too. That will REALLY make it sound better. I use it for recording and just playing late at night without disturbing anyone!

Can’t Jam. On an old IPod I used this app with all my music from different artists to jam and learn with . This updated app will not let me load any of my music ,that they are copyright protected. This makes it useless for me. What a shame!!!

Been using it for a few years now. This app really helped me with my sound for recording, now I can just pick an amp and lay tracks! I do wish however now that you have xdrummer that it could have a dedicated “strip” on the 8 track recorder. Along with Bias Amp and Bias FX I have all the amps I need to get trackin!!

Excellent App. Perhaps the best guitar app in the effect and amp category. Amazing options (you really have to get some of the add-on content but I think it's worth it, especially when they run deals on the expansion packs), and you can arrange your effects in any order you can think of. I use the Apogee Jam converter with an iPhone and I can't believe what this can do. There is an eight-track recorder as add-on purchase, but I use the Multitrack DAW, and there is a loop and overdub too that I don't use (I use Looper HD). This is pro guitar setup and it does the job for recording music, songwriting, live gigs, jamming, and just messin around. I use it for voice and synth effects too!

No support for iOS 14!!. App crashes. Unusable

iOS 14 upgrade. Greetings, upgrade my iPhone and iPad to iOS 14 and the app doesn't work. Help

Best Sounding Guitar App Out There. Whenever I'm practicing at home plugged into my headphones, this app is the only piece of equipment I need. Sounds better than any other amp modeling I've come across with most life like tube sounds. Jamming along with your favorite songs is easy, although a little delay between pushing play and the song starting would help give a person time to get settled in and ready to play. I only wish they would put the add-ons on sale more often. The price can add up very quick. That would be my only complaint.

Best practice tool ever. I use JamUp almost every day. It is an essential tool, and has vastly improved my playing

Best practice app. Been using it for years only thing that can make it better is you could load any mp3 files on it other than what’s in iTunes

Best app. One of best mobile pedalboard

This makes playing fun again. What an incredible app! Through my Mackie Studio monitors the sounds are indistinguishable from the real deal in every instance of the equipment I have. I didn't believe it at first either, until I recorded some chords and licks in Logic and compared. Quite amazing! Get the Boutique pack before the general expansion pack...the sounds are more diverse and therefore more versatile. Skip on the app's recorder and instead use Garageband and record through the Audio Recorder Instrument in lieu Apple's guitar modeling amps....you then have the ability to better be able to edit tracks natively and not pollute the amps and effects within this awesome sounding app. Works great with Audiobus. Can't wait for Jack support coming soon.

Jam Module not in stereo. I like the app. I just wish that tracks loaded from my iOS iTunes played back in stereo and not in mono while using the Jam module.

This is the best and most versatile guitar app out there. I have tried most of the guitar amp simulation apps, but they were all a bit muddy for my taste, the best out of the bunch was amplitube. Then I downloaded jam up and boy was I impressed. Finally some good tones with an impressive air feel to the sound ( I bought most of the expansion packs) what a treat. The only other close competitor is the slash amplitube, but all and all the jam up app is the best hands down. Kudos to these guys and it looks like with updates ever so often they are striving to GET IT RIGHT. Soon in the future I'll ditch my amp and opt for the iOS. Oh one thing please get an update for the OD distortion pedal since it defaults to a white screen without the pedal fine tuning screen. And can you make the green box sovtek electro harmonix Big Muff. The tone sharing on the web is fantastic an easy way to load up your presets. Update Thanks for the OD patch, all is well now.

Killer tones but…. JamUp won’t recall my saved presets rendering JamUp useless to me. I’m trying to replace MainStage on my Mac and I thought JamUp/iPad might be the answer. Bummer

Pretty great. I mainly use the app when everyone is sleeping and I want to play, using my pedals. I connect my pedals to the i rig; like if i rig were my amp, and then my guitar to the pedal board. I really enjoy it, however you will notice some effects won't work the same with Irig and your amp, especially if using a tube amp like me (SP comp AC plus, soul food - these pedals are better for tube driven amps). I have only jam up pro pack, for better amps. I should of gotten the bias FX app, but I don't really care. This is just a practice tool. The effects are okay. I don't really use them since I have a pedal board. It has a lot of options, that I how to get more into, if I ever have the time, and can't use my amp. (Late at night stuff) ps: make sure you have quality head phones

This app no longer opens :-(. Please fix this app for the iphone SE. this was a very excellent app... if I would have known that updating my IOS (Not by choose MAY I ADD!) Would cripple this app, I never would have updated. #ShootMe

The Best so many options. I love this app it has so much to offer not just fora guitarist but also for sound design and as a EFX unit amazing app and tool for music making and vey pleasing on the eyes

Replaced my whole rig. I tried out a similar product at NAMM 2012 and liked the idea of using an iPad, when I came across this, it changed everything! After a few hours of playing through JamUp, I decided I was going to use it as my main recording, writing and live device. So far, I have received excellent compliments at live shows, about recordings and about the overall idea of using JamUp! I'm glad I found this awesome app! Highly recommended for casual musicians to professional musicians looking for another great piece of gear.

Please fix quick!! Unusable with iOS 16. Can no longer use the app in garage band! doesn’t open, now I can’t record my music!

Would be perfect if it wasn’t for iTunes music audio import crashing. This would be the perfect guitar practice companion, but it doesn’t seem to be able to import audio to my 2016 iPad Pro before crashing. I’m running the latest version of iOS and the app. I will contact support.

Great app. Great app, the free version has limited models and effects, whcih sound great, but you can purchase others through in app. Be aware that any Ian's you purchase in this version do not transfer to the pro version, but buying the essentials pack on this version is exactly the same functionality as having jamup pro xt. So if you. Started, as I did, with the free version and. Have added model packs (I have the bass amps), then rather than buying jamup pro xt, you want to do it through iap on this version. The bass amps are very cool and this has been an extremely useful tool for practicing, learning songs on gigs, and warming up. I bought the pro version yesterday on sale, which is how I found out about the iap transfer issue (it is the way the App Store works, not an issue on the part of any developer), and the guitar amps and effects that come with the essentials pack also sound great. The developer helped me remedy the issue very quickly, which he did not have to do, but stick with one version and buy in app in the one version and you'll be fine. Highly recommended, and if you a re a guitarist, you'll want the pro version anyway as the models sound great and give you a good variety of effects and tones, so go for that one to begin with, especially as it is hugely discounted at the moment.

FORCED TO USE APPLE MUSIC. Nice app - too bad I can’t USE it! Why not let me use the Files app to choose a song to load?! Crippling, & pointless.

Fun and good sound. I updated on the I recent sale. Good packs - signature metal, good gain/distortion amps and great clean amps. For all around the best pack. And it makes sense to design for the app rather than copy manufactured amps. Boutique I didn't like at first but then realized these amps respond to picking attack much like a real amp, like no other packs I tried. Very subtle and very cool. Metal pack is pretty good, especially the orange, good dark sound. On the basic pack the twin is great and the AC ok, others there are not as inspiring. The acoustic pack is cool to get a good acoustic sound into a recording without the issues of mixing and using acoustic pickups. The classic pack was the least appealing, sims of old low end amps that just don't sound as good as others. But the boss sustainer pedal included is nice. Now stop with the nag window!

Bass player? Buy this now.. I bought this on the basis of the reviews alone, because Bass options for iOS are that bad. Anything had to be better. This is not only better, it's great. I knew from the first minute with the GK RB-800 that this was worth the good reviews and every dollar spent. The Bass pack gives you four nice amp choices, I'd record with any one of them. Strong basic tone, responsive tone controls, great sound. I just threw in light reverb and EQ, and it was so good I had to shut it down and get back to work. I haven't even tried the recorder yet, already I'm sold. I'm in my fortieth year of professional playing, and finding tools like this remind me why I started (there was the part about girls, but I already found a bunch of them). To the devs, great work. To the Bass players, stop reading and hit Install. You're welcome.

Extremely Impressive. This app is the best thing you can use other than maybe sitting down with the actual pedals and amps. I would use this over an Axe Fx, because there are more diverse models and the signal path system is as realistic as the Axe Fx is or (arguably)better. The thing only I'd change about Jamup is it having cabinet simulation, the reason I say that is then you could then use Jamup at whatever gig you want and have more control over your sound. I'd recommend this to anyone who doesn't have an amp or does, due to the seamless way this could be used for recording or running into a PA.

Great app but..... First of all I love this app I use this along with bias amp witch is also amazing effects sound great and the metal amp pack is awesome too. My only problem with this app is I have a red notification in the top of my phone almost daily and sometimes twice daily asking me to restore perches I mean it’s really a minor inconvenience but it’s getting annoying. This is the only reason this app gets 4 stars for me.

Static. Anyone know how to get the horrible static sound out of my headphones.

JamUp. Absolutely the best out there! At 64 I've owned many of the amps and pedals that are in this app. The amps do exactly what they're supposed to do and with stunning clarity. And the pedals as well. No more carrying tons of equipment. I Stepped up to the modern era and yet I'm able to reach back to the sweet sound of the past. No more back ache. That in itself allows me to play longer. When a friend of mine tried to show me this technology, I was resistant. As I sat in my studio surrounded by a ton of gear, I started using the Jamup app. It didn't take me Long to start getting rid of the gear I realized I no Longer needed. Great great app. The best!

Not working. I’m wondering just what’s happening. The app has simply stopped working. No matter which amp model is chosen or what volume/tone combos are selected I get exactly the same sounds and volume.

Impressive!. The effects sound the most realistic of the similar apps I've tried, and I find iShred is the only one second to this. I love the fact that the phrase sampler is included in the free version, I've used it already, and can already tell I'm going to get a lot of use out of it. This app works great with my Apogee Jam, and I'm looking forward to purchasing a couple of the pedals, although I only gave this four stars due to the fact that the amp models are $3 to $5 apiece. One could rack up a lot of $$ in cumulative investment in this. That being said, I don't think $9 is too much for the pro version of this app, and when I can, I plan to upgrade to it. I just hope it gives me a lot more pedals and amp models to work with. EDIT: I bought the effect expansion pack, but I must say I'm a bit disappointed in the reverse delay pedal. I was expecting it to do more than it actually does in the way of backward effects. There are still some usable effects in the pack, though, like the compressor/limiter and the other delay pedals. The octaver pedal works better if you don't plug into the iPad through an external pedal such as a Crybaby Wah, like I have. Better than iShred's 'Octavinator' pedal, so props for that. Because of the reasons I just mentioned, I won't deduct a star from the rating, and I'm still hoping to get some good effect pedals that are not in the bundle I just bought, as well as the amp models when I upgrade to XT Pro.

Great app, great customer service. At first I could not connect my guitar to the app via iRig. I reached out and was immediately contacted by Marc. I was up and running in no time. And this app is awesome, sounds so great and is easy to use. I have tried numerous apps and this is the one.

Lacking support for AirTurn Stomp 6. Why only 4 airturn input options?

Great app. By far the best sounding amp sim on iphone

Awesome best yet.. Love it

My go to app. I love it, it's compatible with all inputs, has a huge range and the company will listen to your suggestions via FB or twitter. It's not as in depth but that's a good thing..you not have to play around with mic/cab/room settings...just straight too it... And then there's the share presets... This is where others can't compete. My only suggestion, just buy the pro. You're going to want it.

Not working. Can't even play new levels. They just stay locked. I have 3 stars on every level of the game. Surely that would unlock the first level of the new update. But noooooooooo. First level is locked. Can't unlock it. Fix this issue.

Not optimise for iPhone 8. Very nice app. Phrase sampler not working for iPhone 8. Older 6s its ok. Please upgrade

Simply Brilliant!. I can't say enough about this app. Teamed with the Apogee Jam it delivers fabulous sound and incredibly intuitive simplicity. It's a perfect tool for training and jamming to super easy to access backing tracks. Until now I have been using a TASCAM GT-R1. Tonight I put it on eBay. Don't hesitate IMHO for the $100 for the Apogee and this app, you won't do better anywhere.

works great with my pedal. better than the linked app

Crashing. App crashing with ios 14..

iOS 16 issue. I don’t why after updating to iOS 16, JamUp can’t connects with my guitar and interface anymore, plz fix the problem, thank you.

Only works with the built in iPhone mic, pretty useless with a guitar. Oh well at least we have tone bridge

Extremely low latency. Best of the guitar effects bunch, and I've tried them all. Probably the most efficient, but also best sounding. Not cheap for the full setup but worth it.

Broken - Doh!. Was my favorite guitar app. Updated my iPhone 4s today to IOS 8 and now the app crashes. I get a message about not being able to connect to audiobus and the screen keyboard is stuck displaying on top of the app so half the functionality is covered up. Wish it was working as I use it every day for fun and practice. Five stars prior to update crashing it.

Multitrack Problems. Purchased multitrack as in app purchase and multitrack continually crashes when trying to save and load tracks. I would have given this app five stars if it wasn't for this issue.

Crashing since update. Love this app and used all the time with my stomp pedal but since update on sept 2014 it wont load at startup on iOS 6 - please fix!

Ace !. The best most natural sounding guitar App out there . The delay effect also is pretty damn awesome too.

Waste of money. I spent $18 on the contents of this app plus the iRig and because it didn't allow me to preview I was stuck with a bunch of pedals an amp that sound terrible :(

noobs. digital - 1s and 0s - have come a looong way in the digi audio world. Been a solid state and valve amp man forever... This app has changed things dramatically. Super duper impressed. My only criticism is... The latest 2.2 has a couple bugs in it. Like the fireball amp dying. As for the overall... flipping epic app! Keep it up positive grid team.

Killer. Who says you get nothing for free.. High class tones and effects I will be buying pro version!!

Best Construction App to date!. Best Construction App to date!

Jamup Pro Guitar Amp and effects emulator. Awesome app. I use it with my acoustic guitar and head phones on my iPad for practice and jamming at home or use it pre amp for performances. Amazing guitar amp and effects emulator. You do need to purchase a Jamup plug so you can plug in your guitar and line out to headphones or amp but it came also be used with other apps like GarageBand or even with programs like Audacity on your PC or Mac. Brilliant support: they got straight back to me with an application problem I was having and they solved an overpayment problem with an immediate full refund.

Latest UPDATE FAIL!!!. This App is great, except for one thing... After the last update it has rendered the App TOTALLY USELESS to me!! The function buttons on the bottom of screen don't work at all, I can't adjust/tweek ANY of the Amp knobs/settings including the Hi/Low switch because they just won't respond!! ..AND, every time I try to 'choose' a different Amp (which is about all I CAN do!) the touch-keypad for the iPHONE keeps popping up and you can't get rid of it except to close the App and re-open it again. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE Positive Grid??? Please fix ASAP so I can continue using your otherwise awesome App..

Amazing App - But not working in iOS 14. I’ve been using this app for years. Bought the premium in-app upgrade, unfortunately it stopped working when I upgraded to iOS 14. Please update!

Without Question...JamUp Pro is #1. Amazing app! I was skeptical of an app's ability to truly capture the enjoyment of tinkering with set up combinations, subtleties in tone, and the joy of cranking it and rocking out, but JamUp is the first product that really captures the enjoyment of being a guitar or bass player. Having the sampler, jam tracks and tone sharing community are excellent additions to compliment the vast array of amp and effect models that are available. I've gotten countless hours of joy from coming home, plugging in, and rocking out. I love the audiobus support too! Thanks JamUp! Amazing in itself, but can't wait to see what you come up with next! Big fan!

Wow. So I got my guitar out and plugged my phone into my speakers and couldn’t hear my guitar that well so I turned it up terrible mistake it was ringing so loud it brought me to the ground and I still hear ringing

Awesome. Works fantastic. A must- have for learning songs.

Good sounds. Goods sounds and easy to use.

Awesome app but the IAP system is broken after update. Amazing app but can't purchase new amps and effects after update. :/

Excellent support for electric bass. This the app for bassists. The bass amp models in Amplitube, Ampkit and Garage band don't compare. Pocket G-K is nice, but pretty one-dimensional in comparison, with one amp and two cabs to choose from.

Jamup pro. Far away the best app for home studio, live session, practice tool. Don't search anything else, there's nothing equivalent. My gear : Ibanez guitar, fender supersonic Korg, Boss and more Electronic musician, live musician and gear hobbyist

Upgrade?. I bought jamup pro. Why is my icon still red not silver? In the App Store it still has the price on it, should say open.

Best of the Best. Like this amp better than amplitube.

Nice sound quality. Was very surprised @ the tone - very vox-like and the effects sound pretty decent....very handy for getting a decent tone quickly, if you dig the vox vibe. I still love tubes more but I play with this app a fair amount :-)

Octave pedal doesn’t work. I purchased the octave pedal but it doesn’t work. The sound quality is very low and tracking is horrible. Even if I play just one string and one note at a time the pedal can’t track it

Hard to know which patches I should purchase. I wanted to buy some patch amps or whatever to get the sound of the guitars in the presets, but ended up buy unncessary ones. No way of knowing what I should buy. There has to be a better way to know which ones needed.

Not enough. I think it should be same as bias fx. Uses 2amps at the same time or...

Amazing App for the mobile musician. This is an amazing app. Whether on the road practicing or in your home studio recording, I've never heard such realistic amps on a small device.

Great App!. Idk how there's no reviews, but it helps when there are some. This is sick, you can play anywhere. The tech is at its beginning stages and still very operable as far as efficient functionality. Sick tones can be pushed straight out of your phone and into your headphones or speakers. If you have one processor at home, plug this bad boy into one of your monitors and you can jam with a buddy. It serves it's purpose wonderfully. I'm going to buy the pro version as I get better with tone crafting.

fun. I prefer this app to tonex. ( not the pedal) Ive never tried the pedal. I find to be very intuitive, and easier to find a sound that works, in spite of its fewer options. with one output going through a reamp, into a really cheap amp and a 10" speaker, I'm more then completely satisfied, best money Ive spent towards guitar tone in a long long time..

Mr. This is exactly what I was looking for!

The swiss nice of amps. Guys this is an awesome app. No BS. Do yourself a favor. Get this app!

Love it. For an effects processor on a phone, the sound is pretty incredible. The portability is awesome for those "out of the blue" moments and when the half stack is too loud (middle of the night) it's perfect to keep the creative mojo flowing without disrupting anyone around you. Love every aspect of this app.

Used to work just fine before iOS 7.... I have a fourth gen iPod and this was my go-to mini practice app. Bought lots of upgrades and was very happy. Now nothing works and when it tries to update to the last compatible version it doesn't work. Very disappointed. Please fix this-I'm not upgrading.

Jamup icon. I can’t find the jamup icon in my bias app to integrate the to, how Do I do this thanks.

Try it, then go buy pro.. Just do it, so good. Got pro on sale for 9.99 but I would have paid the full 19.99, it's worth it.

Best guitar app. The most well-rounded guitar app. It's probably best to purchase the pro version right away. It lacks a preset library, but the sounds are good and the capabilities of the app are great.

Sounds awesome. Jam up provides a myriad of different effects and combined with Bias amps there are an incredible variety of sounds. Use the app all the time.

WOW. As the tiger would say. It's great, if your looking for a amp and effects, a recorder. Look no where else it's got all.

lric. Great amp, great sounds, great layout.

Great tool. Great for writing and practicing

Yes. No words, just buy it

Very Convenient. I love the fact that I am able to play guitar at work now during my breaks. The portability of jam-up on my iPod is awesome! It allows me the flexibility to play almost anywhere, anytime. I really enjoy the quality of the amps & the personal control I have to dial in my sound.

What can I say?. Two words: JamUp Rocks!

Best App EVER!!!!. Amazing quality for the price! Use it all the time!!

Good ap. Have a way to go as far as learning but has some nice features over IK amplitude.

Trouble. Ça n'a marche pas très bien!

mmmm. this is not bad....but this is not good too :/

Crashes. It was great but now every time I open the app it crashes

The best !!. Get this free version and try it for yourself ! You won't go back to the other amp-modeling apps

Awesome. I bought the all access in app-purchase and have not once thought twice. You get EVERYTHING with that for $50. I get better tones from this than my guitar amp which costs more. You can download presets made by other people or even famous artists. I mostly use the Misha Mansoor bulb lead. If you don't know who that is he is the guitarist of the band Periphery and he's doing work for the halo soundtrack. Overall this app is great. I used it with the jamup plug but have upgraded to the irig hd.

Awesome. JamUp is awesome. It sounds like the real thing, because it is a real thing. Nothing will ever sound sound like an amp in the room you are in. Your ears pick up every nuance and reflection off every surface and make things real by the environment that your mind has analyzed for you. These awesome sounds don't provide that reality. But I think the sounds represent the intent of their makers and I enjoy them, a lot.

I liked it, update has bugs. I used this app all the time. It has excellent sound quality and sound emulation. However, the recent update crashes on startup, even after a device reboot. This is on an iPod Touch 4g running iOs 6.1.6, so newer models probably won't have this issue. However, a fix wpuld be very useful. Thank you!

Beautiful on iPad!. I just got a sexing to open the app in my iPad. This thing looks amazing. The photo realistic chicken head knobs look crisp and the movement is smooth as silk. The app was made to have iPad resolution very quickly so it makes me wonder why all the other app developers always take so long(nano beat maker). I hope this app gets more development soon. More amps and effects will be cool. For now it's added to the rest of my amp app collection with the rest. Thanks

Great app. Been a musician for 20+ years and this is one of the easiest and useful guitar rigs ever. No heavy amps, no faulty chords,no dead batteries, just plug in and play! Completely portable and the tones are baller! Why wasn't it this easy 20 years ago? Also great for capturing riff ideas quickly without fear of forgetting them . Highly recommended!

This is the one. I have every modeling amp currently available, if I could only have one, this would be it. The tone and touch of this amp are incredible, so much so that I now use my IPad as a preamp. I run my guitar through this app via an Appogee Jam, then use the earphone jack through a 1/4 inch adapter to my real hand wired 5F1 champ. I have many guitars and since I discovered this set Up I can't stop play,I been playing for over 50 years, but it's been long time since I played till my fingers were raw.

Great app. I use this app all the time. The best guitar amp app I have tried. It works well with headphones and an amp or stereo at low to mid volume. If you try to crank everything up you might get some feedback. This review is based on hooking up with the iRig adapter that plugs in the headphone jack on your device. The iRig is pretty cheap and crapy. You may have a better experience plugging into an amp or stereo if you have a better adapter. Still gets 5 stars from me.

Great app!. This app has so many great features, even in the free version, that make it an excellent app for bassists and guitarists. In addition to the stomp boxes, there is a loop station which includes overdubbing. You can change the speed and pitch of the songs from your I-Tunes collection, and even loop sections of the music to practice with. Overall, JamUp is definitely worth adding to your collection of apps if you plan to use your iPad for serious practice.

Awesome Product!. I can some get some really cool sounds from this app along with the iRig guitar input. I direct record through my USB audio interface and get some usable tones for recording at home. This is not a perfect replication of the amp models, but it is good enough for me. Especially given that i can get all these sounds using my iPad. I love it. I definitely recommend this to any guitarist or bassist looking to get the most out of their iPad.

3.6.9 doesn't support griffin stompbox. Jamup is a very easy-access application. Recommended for all guitar/bass players and tone lovers out there. But recently, with this new version 3.6.9, jamup can't recognize griffin stompbox. Please release an update for jamup, which will support griffin stompbox. Despite this i'd rate full star for this outstanding real multi-effects guitar and bass processor. Thanks.

Amazing!. I use this app with an Alesis iODock, and then into a Roland keyboard amp or headphones. I'm using a music man jp6. I'm stunned! The sound, the feel, touch response dynamics, it's all there. One could easily perform with this since the iOdock is midi ready, any midi foot pedal could change patches. But for portable practice (and i mean anywhere- i only need 1 plug) with good tones, this is great. The tuner is great, the jam function is great, this is really geared toward practice. Thanks for a great app and I'd love to see a Mesa mark series model soon.

My go to amp & FX sim. This app is great, it even beats the computer version of amplitube in my opinion (best of all the bundles are only like $10 a piece) and if you pair it with BIAS app it gets even better (I think it comes with a shaved down version of it now but I'm not sure). Like I said this is all just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt. (UPDATE) as of September 19 this app is still incompatible with iOS 8 and it crashes on start up so if you're on 8 wait till it's updated.

Forget about the other 2.. this is the one EVERY BASS PLAYER NEEDS. JamUp is the best option, especially if you are a bassist. Two Bass bundles are available which more than doubles the bass specific gear of the closest competitor. Set up is more suitable to live use also. Constant updates and the company has actively sought input from users on forums and their Facebook page and then gave us many of the items we actually asked for.

The best. Best app I've tried. I thought I would try all the free apps like this I could and this one really does long loops you can overdub, change sounds then add more notes... Great with my iRig. This is the most versatile free app I've got, this is the main reason why I bought an iPad, and I am so happy with the performance. Can't wait to show this live! Noting else I have found gives you more effects at once for the free version.

Guitar Nooob. Very helpful app for practicing. Love the ability to jam along with tracks imported from iTunes library. Have improved my playing with ability to slow down tracks without detuning, and love ability to change background tracks' key - saves me from having to tune down half step. Built in tuner is nice. Just a great app, and I haven't even bought any in-app amps yet.

Great app. Overall great app....I use it with the apogee interface...works great...IMPROVEMENTS: I would like to see individual volume adjustments for metronome, song player and guitar input...I haven't been able to adjust volumes for a proper mix....maybe I just don't know how to do it...oh, and please allow better fine tuning of the speed adjustment. Real hard to start slow, then build up speed gradually for practice purposes...can't make fine adjustments...maybe press on the speed control for a larger dial?

Wow !!!. This is a very "feature-filled" lite app. The best sounding amps and effects simulator on the app store. Both the virtual amps and effects mimic their physical counterparts flawlessly! I'd swear I was playing through the real thing. Loop feature is flawless. Well worth the money...a breath of fresh air...especially after dumping tons of money on other overpriced wannabee's that just don't deliver. This thing really packs a punch...and the pro version is just a dream come true! Thanks guys...job well done!

THIS IS IT!! (with iRig). I bought the iRig with high hopes and I was disappointed when I read some I the reviews AFTER I paid for it. I saw the reviews for this an I figured it would be different with the iRig but it's not. This app blows everything else away hands down. The UI, the intuitiveness, the stability, the quality of sound. Great job.

Best guitar modeling app. The sound modeling is the best sounding. Better than garageband, ampkit, and amplitube. Amps have great tone, effects sound lush, distortion and overdrive sounds very good. Lots of choices, but they do cost extra, but are well worth it. The different sounds you can get are enormous. The app has an awesome sharing feature where you can download other peoples settings and submit yours and vote on them. Very cool.

Amazing!. Seems to have improved upon the guitar apps. I enjoyed Stompbox and Ampkit. My frustrations were more on recording them and this is where Jamup shines. Jam with songs using slowdowns, simple transfer to ITunes, dub and build tracks. As you build tracks, my only wish is to place them in a stereo field to pan left, center, or right.

Love it. But . . .. Had this app for my iPhone 5s and it worked beautifully. Had no issues. I had purchased four of the amps and the effects that I wanted. I also bought the upgrade to the 8-track. I used that and the sampler a lot. I upgraded to the new iPhone 7 and Apple did away with the headphone jack. The adapter Apple has short-circuited my iRig adapter and now it doesn't work. Because of Apple, the app is just sitting on my new phone not being used unless I want to spend $120 for "their" adapter.

Best Guitar MultiEffects Processor app ever. I use this app daily in my guitar playing and recording endeavors. It beats podfarm without a doubt, and the price crushes the Axe fx despite the lack of a dedicated unit. I think you should get Bias also if you want to experience all the power of Positive Grid's technology. I highly recommend this to every guitarist on earth!

Jared. Not a bad app. The in app purchases can get expensive at $3 a pedal and $10 for "decent" bundle packages, if you're looking to record some quality stuff. Without those add ons, you can record some rough idea down, nothing overly special. Major issue with finishing a project and not being able to email it to yourself, like you're supposed to be able to. Overall: not a terrible app...but needs to be updated a bit

Lint in jack. Be aware that lint in your headphone jack will cause issues with Jamup plug! I thought my issue was software related when in fact I had a ton of lint keeping the jamup plug from fully seating. Headphones would work fine. Cleaned my jack out and now it works great! App works better than it did several years ago, probably in part due to hardware improvement.

The Best Virtual Amp Ever !!!!. I'm a professional guitar player / producer, audio engineer and musician, during all this week I made a test of ALL virtual amps on computer and iPhone apps, and this iPhone App is by far The Best, It sounds REAL!!!!. I started with the headphones and I couldn't believed that it was true so I plug in into 2 VOX AC4 and it sounds incredible in Stereo, later I tried with amps like vintage AC-30, Super Lead Marshall 100 w, blackface Fender Deluxe Reverb, Matchless DC-30 and direct to Protools and Logic Pro with the same fantastic results. The Jam player is PERFECT and the A/B loop is Fool-Proof, I fell in love how easy is to get a loop and in a bliss I can Change the tempo and the Key. Do something good for yourself and buy the full version, it will be the best expended money for your sound. TWO THUMBS UP, GOOD JOB!!!!

Lost presets with update. I love this amp. I have all the popular amp apps loaded on my original iPad and by far like this one the most. It has the least amount of noise and the best tones for my taste. I lost my presets with the update but I'll be able to reset them. I do wish it would support some type of midi input so that I could use a foot pedal switch between presets and also control the sampler.. Great app..

Great App.. I don't usually write reviews but couldn't help myself on this one. After trying to get past Amplitubes noise issues and dumping money into the extra Amp packs never to be satisfied with anything more than just a practice app, I finally stumbled upon JamUp. This is by far the best guitar app I have used. I finally have an app I can actually incorporate into my pedalboard via my iRig Stomp. The included noise gate virtually eliminated all the noise without affecting my tone. Highly recommend.

Defenantly worth it. I have tried a number of things (guitar rig, peavey revalver) and honestly I like jam up the best. The graphics are great, the setup is amazing comprehensible compared to other programs, and you don't have to have a great audio interface to make good sound. Definantly worth every dollar, in fact very under priced. Mostly for rock and metal. No bugs

Goodbye Amplitube. I bought IK Multimedia's Amplitube as soon as I got my iPhone and iPad. I used those for a number of months. At first it was great. Then I realized that you have to buy a ton of additional patches to simply get a decent clean tone. At some point I saw an ad for Jam Up on Facebook and downloaded the free app, then I started buying patches. I haven't used Amplitube since. When I do use Amplitube it only the desktop version on my MacBook. The lack of clean tones and different iPhone and iPad versions killed Amplitube for me!

Great but.... Since the new update I find when I listen to a iPad library song it try's to remove the lead guitar track but all the track does is fade in and fade out causing really nasty static and ugly sounds. I play through an IRig and when I play the track sounds great but as soon as I record and play back the audio it comes back all choppy fades in and out and just sounds horrible. App was working great and I love it, this problem needs to be solved or the overall use of this app is useless.

Wish I'd found this first!. Sadly I discovered this app after I bought Ampkit. Not that Ampkit is bad, but Jamup not only sounds better to my ears, but has a much better interface, better practice tools, a full-featured trainer module, phrase sampler AND easy multi-track recording! There is no contest - like others have said, this isn't just a novelty, but a powerful and useful set of tools for any guitarist regardless of ability. I never get my amps out at home anymore, and I'm seriously considering storing my rig and using this exclusively. Outstanding app.

No support. Not able to get the app to interface with my computer (Mac Garage Band) with out digital feedback. I have been using a Line 6 Tone Port to hook up to my computer and record in Garage Band. Sent messages to FB and support email. Got a response several days later that was no help at all. Great tones and functional app but help/support is extremely lacking. My response to their response has onot been answered for several days also.

Decent tones, ranks as one of the better apps. So far, one of the better guitar amp apps out of the bunch. The overdriven tones are decent sounding, but still difficult to get that biting real world crunch. But still, I have not found any apps to take the place of my hard wired gear, especially my DIGITECH RP UNIT. Most of these apps lack the bite when it comes to overdriven tones. If app developers would come up with something that sounded like the Digitech RP series units, it would be ground breaking.

Pretty darn good!. I've been playing guitar for about a year and had no idea what differences in pedals and amps were. For relatively little money, I've been using this app to figure out which setups I like. I don't have a terribly sophisticated ear but I can't tell the difference between the effects in this app and the real thing. The pros say they can hear a difference, so I believe them but I fell this app is far better than a cheap, lousy amp.

Excellent!. I have been using another app for recording my guitar and bass into my DAW. I read about JamUp and noticed that a Univibe pedal was offered (that sold it for me). I installed JamUp lite and within an hour upgraded to pro, bought two bundles, some effects and amps. The JamUp pro gives you endless sonic capabilities. It's easy to operate and very intuitive. The preset banks and downloadable presets are a great feature. Totally awesome sound for live performances. Yes, you should buy this App!

3½ maybe 4 stars. decent, but expect less and be happy.. A LOT of juice to unlock the whole works. At least $100 (but after having used Amplitube3 desktop with every amp effect etc ... You don't want that). What you use in the non-virtual world is most likely what you'll use here. Get those upgrades and you'll dig it. Great for puddling around with headphones at night, or sending to your mixer into your computer's DAW. There's drawbacks - it's been mentioned that it's all deconstructive and lossy, but I'm not assuming to be using this for 5.1 mixes to Final Cut Pro X in 5.1

Wow!. This app is simply incredible! I've tried other apps like Ampkit and Amplitube, but nothing can compare. All the amps are rich and full sounding. They are rarely muddy, so you can hear every note you play clearly! Even the effects are superb! One of my favorite features is the jam and sampler options. It makes playing even more fun! This is now my main rig for recording. Excellent job, PositiveGrid!

Good app. You can definitely get some quality sounds from this app. Definitely not a replacement for stomp boxes, but great for quiet practice through headphones or for those times you don't want to carry your gear all over earth and creation. This is probably an indispensable tool for the traveling guitarist or bassist. I just wish they had more selection in the distortion pedals that's the only reason it didn't get 5 stars.

Great app. This is by far the most realistic sounding amp app out there. Customer service is great too. I bought the pro version after using the lite version, but nothing I bought in the lite showed in the pro version. Customer service said they are two separate apps, but everything in the pro version once you buy it will show in the lite version if you upgrade... Which was a relief! Good customer service and nice people.

Brilliant. Lovely big clear sound! Intuitive interface. Effects are exactly as advertised. Works great with my old Griffin iMic and USB camera connecter! Tuner is the best I've used on an ithing - tunes lowest strings on a baritone guitar with no problem. Generally no weird latencies except maybe on Boss OC-2 octave effect. I am comfortable replacing a pedal board with this for light travel.

D.L.'s Studio. I would rate this 4 stars the app only comes with one amp. If you buy bias you can transport all those amps into here and that's what I did. Look at all the effects and ask yourself if your going to use them. I am not I would only ever use the boost, noise gate, delay and the reverb. And those are free so I would stick with this free amp and just buy bias. There's enough amps in bias to get enough endless tones.

Wonderful Tool!. Of all the guitar effects apps available, this one makes the most sense. You can set up your effects chain in the order you want rather than it being determined for you, and the individual effect purchases are vast and sound great. I also love the various bass effects available like the Ampeg Flip Top and SWR simulations.

Wow. This app is the new KING OF TONE!! Sorry, Amplitube, but you've been beaten at your own game. Positive Grid are the absolute BEST group of people to deal with. Any questions have been answered in minutes and they really know their product!! And now with Audiobus, Jamup is THE amp sim and effects model processor to beat on iOS. Great job to all at Positive Grid!!

Awesome app for a lot of uses. I'd be so lost without this app (especially combined with Bias) It helps ease the load while demoing songs on my computer from using desktop plug-ins, works great for everything from death metal to blues and funk and integrates well for re-amping and integrating with external cab impulses. Not to mention it's great having a good sounding, very portable (and quiet) rig while on the go.

Great App for bass.. Had it for 2 days. I'm getting no hiss no distortion. I like to experiment with multiple effects and I still had great sound even layering bass tracks on the recorder/ loop effect. It only took me a few tweaks with the levels and found with bass -set the level of the main amp effect page in the top right at 25 to 35 % and had no issues. It is working very well and I am using the guitar connect cable available at target . Great job Thanks Again

Great tone. Tone is awesome, need some better recording software though so people can actually use it for that application. The tone sharing is great also. After dumping about 75 bucks into amplitude and then having my account deleted and losing all of my past purchases to some imaginary web place this app blows amplitude away and would be even better with a 8 channel recorder .

Best IOS amp modeler. I originally picked up Ampkit for my first modeler and enjoyed the sounds quite a bit, but didn't enjoy the interface at all. JamUp came next. This app is so much fun! I've grabbed quite a few new amp models and pedals from the store. I love the sampler feature. It's extremely handy when working with my students. I use this everyday when I teach. It has become my go to app. I don't use Ampkit at all anymore. This has also been a blast in the studio!

Mind blown!. I've used several of the other modeling apps for a long time. Someone told me about this one, so I checked it out expecting marginal improvements. I could not believe my ears. The tone is amazing. For reference, I usually play through a 64 Tremolux head and cabinet or a 68 Silvertone amp. This is the best modeling product I've ever heard.

I Love This App. I Love this app and I would have given it five stars but I'm about to go crazy because I've made some really cool stuff on the loop machine but I can't share it to sound cloud and its driving me nuts so please positive grid this would be the perfect app if you could fix that one bug thank you!

Get This One!. Now that the digital dust has settled, and I've shelled out lots of $$$ on all the iOS amp/effect apps available, I have narrowed it down to JamUp, Bias, and Bias FX. I don't use any of the others any more and have deleted them from my iPad. It has everything I need, sounds great, and works flawlessly. Get Pro if you have Auria!
