I love it. It’s very informative and you can see what is going on in your home town and other areas.

It could be better. The app is okay, nothing to write home about . Too many mornings it displays day-old news, and takes too long to get up to date. But the worst parts are the poor grammar, misspellings and bad syntax that make so many articles difficult to read. Sometimes articles that tell of an event coming up fail to tell when!!!

Notification sound.. I absolutely hate the new sound when I get a new notification. It’s so bad I am going to delete this app. Every notification I receive is alway negative bad, horrible woke news! Y’all need to get it together. Falling in the cracks with all media!

App doesn’t work. New app doesn’t work it only shows the fox 6 logo hate I done the update I have deleted and installed several times and still the same problem. Would love to have the old app back

Fox 6 News. I’ve been watching fox 6 news every since I was a kid. The way I work I can’t watch every day. But this app keeps me updated.

Awesome ad hosting platform!. This is a great app to use if you’re looking for new windows or interested in gambling. As for the actual news, you’ll spend more time trying to figure out how to close the full screen advertisement (some you can’t, you have to force close the app and relaunch). Same issue with WBRC weather app. This used to be great, but I guess greed strikes again.

Fox 6 News. There is not a segment of this station that I do not like. Great anchors with amazing personalities. Keep up the great work.

WAY to many ads and click bait. IWould prefer to see the story that I click on and not be redirected to the Wetumpka casino resort and spa. Stick to the news. I understand capitalism, but keep your ads tucked into the article actually select and do not direct me to somewhere else. I’ll be deleting this app if I don’t see changes soon.

Good app. I love this app for all the news locally but being half blind the small print is hard to read. Please increase the font or add a feature where the readers can increase the font.

Most accurate weather forecast in Western Hemisphere. Mickey Ferguson is, without a doubt, the greatest meteorological mind in the business. The man knows his weather. We rely on his forecasts daily. Around here we have a saying, “If Mickey don’t predict it, it ain’t gonna happen.”

Fox 6. I really like the news and weather app. I really like getting the alerts. Good job fox 6.

WBRC Channel 6 Birmingham. My very favourite TV show is Absolutely Alabama with the masterful Fred Hunter. I grew up with 3 TV channel options until I was 10 years old when Alabama Public Television first aired from Mount Cheaha. I remember going outside next to the chimney and turning our quite tall TV antenna from Birmingham to Cheaha and back again because I simply had to see Tom York and Pat Gray! Thank you so much for these 63 years of service to me.

Great news team, horrible app!. This app is terrible! The ads are larger than the news stories which makes it impossible to navigate. Plus, when you click on a notification for a specific new story, you aren’t taken to the story. Instead, you are taken to a full screen ad that you have to close out of, only to then have to search for the story.

Depressing. I get several notifications daily from this local news app, nearly every notification is about a murder, kidnapping, fire etc… How about writing some positive articles, maybe some that don’t contribute to the already crappy mental health state of our society. Horrible y’all.

Updates are terrible. This used to be one of my favorite go to apps for news however updates make it very frustrating. There are too many ads, font is odd and layout isn’t user friendly.

Update has a critical flaw. I enjoy this app for local news but the recent update has a huge flaw that will not allow me to open the app anymore. It flashes open then appears to shut down but is still running in the background. When I try to force it up from on my phone, it flashes again. I hope you’ll be able to fix this flaw quickly.

Debate. If you are going to report on the presidential debate, don't use CNN as a reference. We already know they are biased and report fake news! There was no mention in your article about Biden saying his son has not received any donations from the Russian mayor! Your article looked like it was more biased favoring Biden than anything. It was also mentioned on local TV news about the sheriff in Portland did not support Trump as he said. That was never fact checked. You did not contradict anything Biden lied about on your tv news. Just another example of being biased!

New update ugh. I have always enjoyed this app but the update took a turn for the worse. Miss the trending option for the news section. Top articles in feed are two days old. Link leads to page not found. The newsfeed is also difficult to distinguish ads from articles. Also way too many ads.

Best News & Weather Channel!. Great channel! I love watching everyone 👍🏻🥰‼️ Dub’s dubs is my favorite along with Pet Pics. Great news people all day long! Great other types of shows too, like Kelly and Ryan, Right This Minute and TMZ!

Best Alabama news app. Keeps me informed of weather, news and traffic. Loads fast. Love the live stream. Best local and state news in the state.

Takes too long to load. Since the “new” FOX6 app launched it takes forever for the app to open to read a story from a notification. If you leave the app, the notification is gone. Very frustrating. I’m switching to another local station for notifications until the bugs are worked out.

I like the news not the sponsors. I wished there was another way to include the sponsors other than having to wait 60 seconds for the news to load. Often I will switch to another news source for a quicker response. The weather is the absolute worst.

Obnoxiously loud pop-up adds. Quietly reading the news in a quiet environment is simply not possible with this app. Also, getting the same pop-up add several times while reading the same article. Looking for another source for local news.

App review. I’m fairly satisfied with the news app during the week. It is too sketchy and not updated enough on holidays and weekends. It would be nice to see weekend posting improve.

National News connection. The app does not show an option to view National news? (Unless me the older app you could view either or?? Early review is low, search needs to improve or access to all news needs to appear.

Notifications. On iOS when you click a notification about a story, it clears the rest of them. Very frustrating to then have to go find the other stories.

Was my favorite. It looks like the adds are taking over. Is no longer my go to for local news.

Don’t like new format. I used to really enjoy looking and reading the WBRC app. Now, however, it’s just not aesthetically appealing as it once was. I can still get the news from it but I find I don’t look at it as often as I used to. I hate saying that because WBRC is my go to for news!!!

Terrible App. I would rather have the old version of this App and it wasn’t that great! However when you clicked on a notification it actually took you to it and played the video. This App. takes you to the annoying Ad. but never to the news mentioned in the notification. Then you have to hunt it. Almost as annoying as the Weather Channel App. but at least it plays the video in the notification.

Not user friendly. It always opens with the same ad that you have to X out to even open to the news. Then the opening page is messy. Too many squares to sort through. Developer needs to look at other news apps to get it. The user is looking to Fox because of their news content. The television version is great…make it happen with the app.

Wonderful weather team. Per a post that was made saying that their are way to many weatherman/woman on fox 6…. Keep dong an amazing job…Mickie n the morning and Wes thru out the day. I love Fox 6 whole cast from the anchorman’s,sports and the weather team. Yes James spann is the status quo but there are other amazing Meteorologist out there such as this group.

What had happened to this site????. This site WAS helpful, easier to read..not sure who changed it and made the print much smaller, but bad move. Finding another local news website easier to see and easier to find the weather and radar. GO BACK TO FORMER VERSION!

Not good. The old app was much better. Looks like the new design was just to add bigger more annoying ads. When scrolling it’s hard not to get one of the large ads in the screen. It was much nicer to have a small photo of the story on link. Now it’s hard to read the headlines. I understand they need the ad revenue, but you should not sacrifice quality and readability in the process.

Awful App. I love watching this news but this is one of the worst apps I’ve ever used. It freezes up and I constantly have to click the play button to restart it. Sometimes it won’t play so I have to back out of the app and restart it. Also a commercial will just play right in the middle of the news. Then they play so long when the news comes back on it looks like it’s already been on and I miss parts of it. I’ve removed and reinstalled the app and tried turning my phone off and back on. Nothing helps so I’m just going to delete this app.

The new interface stinks. I will probably not be using this app going forward. It offers no current headlines or stories if interest when open the app, just a collection of mini apps that take you elsewhere to actually find something of interest. Poorly designed in my opinion.

Wonderful app. This is a wonderful app on my iPhone and iPad to get caught up on the news and weather. I just wish the app was available for Apple TV .

Too many ads. I get that your industry is dying, but forcing a video commercial on me the instant I open the app before I can even select the story is a bit too much. I will no longer be using your app.

Weather every 6 min. Weather that often is very annoying in my view the station is using it as a filler

Alerts lead to hours old story. The overall design and features are designed well. The issue is the reports are not updated. It's frustrating to get news alert notification, click to read and get the original report posted hours ago. Why give an alert and not publish the details?

Extremely disappointed. I used to be able to watch the news, now I just get commercials when I try to watch live. Same commercials just repeating itself endlessly. After many years, it’s time for me to find a new local news team.

Notifications getting annoying. When I first downloaded the app a few months ago, it was great because notifications were almost entirely limited to breaking news. Now the notifications come up for promos for things like podcasts, On Your Side segments, and Nick Saban postgame press conferences. Pretty annoying. I deleted the app today.

Weather. They are too many people telling the weather you don’t need 6 or more to tell the weather there needs to be a change up and lineup You only need a few to tell the weather

WBRC Fox6 For Cord Cutters. I’ve been a cord cutter for 2 1/2 years. I really appreciate the fact that WBRC Fox6 News keeps me informed on my local news, what’s happening in my area, the weather and storm & tornado watches. Advertisers. This app, other than the written headlines is like reading a gossip magazine. The advertisements for the race course are annoying. The lists of ‘fake’ news at the end of the news reports (like selling snake oil) are at best non-news at most click bait. Surely, in the state of Alabama there are sponsors who are reputable and news worthy. This would be considered ‘redneck’ news in my home state of Maryland.

Pop up Ads. Bad enough you have to scroll thru all the ads but now the ads pop up for no reason. They have the worst news app of anybody.

Weather. The hourly weather does not update. The old app was a ton better. This one is crap

Cluttered mess with ridiculous pop-ups. Can’t get to the news until you navigate a mine field of absolute junk. App ruined and rendered useless.

The new WBRC App. I hate the new app. It is slow and confusing. The tabs in weather section are too large and sort of in my face. I am in the process of deleting this app and will switch to another news provider.

Terrible updates. Weekends and holiday updates are horrible. Lacks content and editing with misspelled wording etc. WBRC has a whole has become very disappointing.

Bring back the old App. This new app is horrible a lot was left out.

App is a failure. Can never find current top news, when you do a search it always give dated articles.

Poor Update. The updated app pales in comparison to the previous one. Less intuitive, fewer options and way too many adds.

2 Steps Back. This used to be s good, easily navigable app. Not anymore. I have deleted the spp after the latest update. So sad.

Not user friendly. The app should have Top News listed on the homepage instead of having to dig through a drop down menu. Very frustrating.

Update to WBRC 6 news. Updated and now I can’t get in to the app at all.. It says open but nothing comes up.

Great overall, but…. Today’s update just made the app utterly useless! Now, when I open the app, I get a blank screen! What kind of news coverage is that? I will try reinstalling the app one more time; but, that has not previously solved any of the issues I delineate below. Please note: subsequent reviews go from most recent to earliest. It’s down to 1 star, when was previously 4. My previous review is below. The most recent update literally ruined the app. A few minutes ago, I tried to bring up a notification for a different app;but, another notification came in at the same time, causing the cursor to jump, and it opened a notification from WBRC. As you will see below, the app has had an issue with deleting all notifications in Notification Center from this app. As is often the case, a number of notifications had accumulated, and I would have acted on them soon; but, now they are all gone. A few minutes ago, when the app opened, it asked me to reconfigure my notifications, which I did. For a while, there was an in-app feature called “Inbox”, which would bring up the most recent articles that had been sent as notifications (though this never went back far enough), just in case the unthinkable had happened, and one’s notifications had been deleted. I am no longer finding this feature in the app; and now, at least for VoiceOver users, the entire app has become pretty much inaccessible. The app opens, and all that appears—besides Menu—is a video that most likely is an ad. Pleas scrap the latest update, and return to something that is user friendly and practical. By the way, App Support—at least in this case—is a _joke; there is none. Overall, I really like this app, and always have. However, with the most recent update, it is doing the same thing that the app for another of our local stations (namely, WVTM) is doing. If the same developer handles both, then you will know what I’m talking about. Normally, if multiple notifications have come up in a certain app before one has had time to act on them, only the first one disappears when acted on. That’s the way it’s supposed to be. But now, in both the WVTM and WBRC news apps, if there are multiple notifications awaiting action, _all of them disappear when you act on one! So now, I am forced to copy all of the notifications for each of these apps and paste them into a note; then, I hope that, when I enter Search in the app, the search results for each item match the actual title of the article. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. _Please _fix! Both of these apps were working quite well in this regard prior to the most recent update.

App changes. This app is starting to act like the weather channel with the popups and tracking. Please keep this app private when in use and stop all the ads. Not user friendly anymore

Update. This app so desperately needs to be updated. It looks like an app on an iPhone 4.

This is not a good app. You should ask for your money back from the company that designed it. It is not user friendly at all.

So far. Right now I don’t like the way it works I know it’s new but it’s to me harder to use and get notifications
