AHH!!!. I love love love this game! I’ve been playing it on and off for the past 8 years. I have some suggestions, increase the map sizes and make it to where the students are there longer than 3 years at a time and possibly make it to where we can choose the classes they take based on what year they are.

brings back memories. I remember playing this & all the sequels during my middle school days 10 years ago and they're still so good! Most of the Kairosoft games used to be completely free with no ads but days have changed so I get it... Most apps now require purchases and subscriptions. I am just glad that they're still arnd for me to play <3

Structures are Difficult. Unlocking buildings is way too complicated. I am currently on year 14 on the first map and I have not yet unlocked the soccer field, pool, gym, art room computer rooms etc.

Best game ever. No ads, the best simulation game on the App Store. Worth the 4.99

Update????. The free version has been updated recently but the version we paid for has only had languages added within the last 3 years. Kinda made me feel like I wasted my money. Gameplay is nice though.

Update?. I love this game, and I WOULD rate five stars, but whenever I use an "item", or someone asks someone out, its always "lets be friends lets be friends lets be friends"! It gets annoying and irritating. People should say yes more, and also, teachers barely go into the classrooms, and its way too hard to stay out of the red in money!!!! Cheaper funds, cute couples, and teachers doing there jobs would make me not be able to take my fingers off the screen!!!! Please update and fix these problems!!! Also, you dont need to, but during winter could everyone wear santa hats, spring bunny ears, summer shades, fall earmuffs!!! That would be so cute!!!!

Addicting as hell. The price is too low for how much I’ve played this. I love building schools, I love the silly mental images I create out of my students lives, I love that I can hire a duck, a bear, a monkey, and a ghost to be teachers! Plus the New Game Plus and the alternate maps, good lord this has value! Big tip though - expand slow and be smart about your hiring. Teachers can have great stats but cost way too much given that their stats only come into play the first of every semester.

An oldie but a goodie. I really like these types of games you guys make! Your new games aren’t bad but I liked the kind of games like Dream House Days :)

So much fun!!!!. I love this this game! Fun graphics, almost no ads! Completely appropriate for all ages! This game is so fudging cute! This is my favorite game I have! I would like it if you had more options of the students that attend the school though, and more uniforms and maybe some more hair styles. I would also like if you could try and set up blind dates for the characters! I love this game, definitely worth downloading! There is one thing though, every time someonr gets asked out they get rejected. Only one person has said yes!

Pocket academy 2?. This is an amazing game. but with all the classics being remade, I am hoping for a pocket academy 2. Any chance of that happening?

Awsome Game !!!!!. I don't write reviews very much but i feel that such an awesome game should be shown some recognition. I love this series of games that kariosoft has created . Like Game Dev Story and the second game they made afterwords and I adore this one. Also since this company dosen't make games very often right when I saw this one I bought it and I have never been disappointed by there games . I can't wait for them to make another one. I hope they make one related to fashion design for girls. Thank you kariosoft keep making awesome games .

Stupid money problem!!!!!!. The game is so addicting and fun but…the stupid money runs out way to quickly! I had to start over the games like 5 times! I’m so mad! I like the game but I’m mad because of the money. Plz fix.

Just a little something.... This game is amazing I am sure of it since it is a usual 4.6 out of 5 but I think that sandbox would be an interesting addition

Fantastic Gem of a Game. Kairosoft has a habit of making some excellent little games and Pocket Academy is no exception. Here you must design and manage a school while balancing your budget with school performance. It is both challenging and rewarding as your school evolves and your students improve. It has some building elements similar to Hot Springs Story but that is not the focus. Academy is certainly and enjoyable management sim and something I'll be going back to. If you like this and the Kairosoft brand then you'll be happy to know that they have a vast number of games released in Japan and are gradually translating them for release in the US. Keep up the good work Kairosoft!

They've done it again!!!. For the third time Kairosoft has created a great game. I've bought their game dev story and hot springs story games and loved them... But this one takes the prize. It has a lot of buildings with different attributes to help make your students and staff better and many things you can do to make your school better. Whether its giving your students special classes to make them better In a subject or leveling up your teacher with the different points you receive this game is one of the best I've ever played. With the gameplay and quality you get from this, the price is completely worth it.

Fun, but may need update also suggestion for new game. Hello developers. I am RollingThunder64 and I first off love your games. I believe that they are really fun and entertaining. However there are a couple things that bother me a bit 1. Mascots: PLEASE add them to make each individual school unique in its own way 2. More Clubs and evolvement: Though I'm at year 2 there are some clubs that should be there right away like Chess Club or leadership and let more people be intrested. 3. Football: I know you may deny this, but can we have an high school American football team. 4. Jerseys/uniforms: I would like to customize my own jersey and watch my clubs play games, dance and act. 5. Make money easier: At first I was struggling on how to make money, so can you please make it clearer. 6. Easier to get friendships. Other than that I feel that the game is spot on and is one of a kind Suggestion for a new game Can you please make a movie simulation game that plays like Game Dev Story. Just the chance to make a movie in a game like yours would help all of you. Thank you for your time and have a great day.

Admissions. Great game but there should be more to the admissions side, like being able to pick and choose kids based on potential. Also maybe add future stories for the graduates as like an alumni type deal. All in all, quite solid game.

The first. A calm and mellow game, the kind of game you play when you go out ot get a drink of coffee or mocha. Gota be a patient guy, game is not for those who love to control people, because you can only control the area and not the people(except with items). a build and watch kind of game. I love their trade mark style in all of their games, I hope they keep using their style in the future. Favorite game from Kairosoft. This is the first game I played from Kairosoft that made me love it! It’s been many years since it’s release. I would love to see another installment of this game!

Could be better.... :/. I LOVE this game..... But it needs more to it!!! If the people are gonna stay there the whole time, at least make the change between night and day!! Dorms for the students would be awesome. It would be better if you could see more conversation between students, and they should have Prom and other extra stuff like that. It would also be better if it were easier to make couples!!! More action with the teachers would be nice..... And let them be able to get detention or something!!!!!! This game is great but its glitched on me. I keep getting an error message when i try and open the game and i’m not sure how to fix it. I tried reseting my phone and closing the game but idk what to do.

Forever one of my favorites. This game was one of my first Kairosoft games ever. It is absolutely so much fun and a great time killer if you’re ever bored. There is so much to do and once you get a hang of the strategy it becomes a piece of cake. Each map is super unique, with their own challenges and layouts to overcome. One thing I do hope that happens is an updated sequel. Mega Mall’s sequel looks super promising and I’m excited to play it— this game is a tad old and it would be very refreshing to see a modern version of this game. Please not F2P though… those games are typically not my favorite. More character options, make the personality traits actually matter, more class events, etc. would really give this game more depth and personalization. I grew up playing this and Kairosoft has always been a part of my video game history. Please continue to put out great titles!! <3

Fix it , please.. Although Pocket Academy is really fun and time absorbent, I've had this problem with it where it freezes and once where it froze and would only zoom in and out every time I move the screen. I never had any problems regarding Kairosoft games but this is the first time. I tried exiting the app and then reopening it but still wouldn't work. Then I closed the app and patiently waited while doing something else for two hours because I thought all it needed was time but I thought wrong it was still frozen. The only way I can continue to play it is if I turn off my phone while the app was open. It happened more that 7 times (at least) and I purchased this app yesterday. I hope you fix this problem because although it's just one minor problem it occurs a lot and I'm tired of turning off and on my phone just to continue but I'm glad it auto saves even when I turn it off. It's sad to say I'm a bit disappointed because this is the first time I've ever had a problem while playing any Kairosoft games in about 2 years.

Just as good if not better. I played the lite version for the longest time. I had no idea there was a full version. There is so much more in this and I’m happy. The only thing I miss between the two is the fact that the students go home at the end of each month instead of at the end of the year. It’s just weird to see them there all the time but you get used to it. Love Kairosoft games and can’t wait for their next masterpiece

Ok game!. I played this game around 5 years ago and started playing again. It’s refreshing but the mechanics are confusing and it seems like things happen randomly. I’ve only had one couple this play through and it seems like the factors to have a couple make little to no sense. My students have decent popularity, but don’t want to date. The Cupid item is pretty much useless and a waste of points. I don’t think couples boost or improve your school much anyways, so I feel like the couple mechanics are pointless. I wish there was a way to rotate facilities or even an option to move them because you have to plan way ahead of time. I also wish there was a way to get smarter transfer students and 1st year students, because I have to grind 1st semester (which should be named “trimester”, as there are 3 terms. Semester is 2 terms.) special classes so my scores and rank don’t tank. There isn’t a lot of class rooms and the Max, regardless of map size is three, which is a bummer. Since this game is originally from Japan, there are translation errors to the max. I’m not to bothered by it, but the text flow breaks up words which makes it harder to read. A lot of words are awkwardly abbreviated too. It’s a good game, I wish this was updated but I highly doubt it will be. Some mechanics are wonky which you will have to figure out on your own. I used the Kairosoft wiki to help, but other than that you are 100% blind in the dark with little to no guidence.

Fun game but. Why is everyone blonde now? What happened to the original hairstyles? Seemed a lot better with the brown and black hairstyles

New Update April 2021 bugs. I was surprised to see this game get an update, but let me cut to the chase. On iPad the buttons are now smaller in portrait mode and the auto rotate is completely broken not full screen anymore! I’m curious what the bug fixes were, but I will update my review till this is fixed.

amazingly addicting. I have gotten a crazy addiction to this game! It’s such a fun game with such a great aesthetic!

Academy and Academy Zero. So I have been playing the free version some time and I enjoy it, and then I see this one that has a bit more in depth things, like more decorations and student to student interaction, etc. but with Zero, they actually go home and then come back, class starts, etc. and at the bottom it shows that time is moving forward, when tests are, graduation, break, etc., and they actually take the tests and you see the results… the one I actually paid for, doesn’t have that. Is there some kind of bug? Time is going by, months, and they are still at school and the teachers have only taught once. And it said it was test day, but nothing happened.

Another Kairosoft Masterpiece!. Kairosoft has now become one of my favorite companies. This game is so fun I wish you could have slots for all the different kinds of landscapes! Pocket Academy is your best game yet! Keep making great games. And by the way, people, the reason your teachers are going around picking veggies is because when a semester starts, and at the top screen it says "Classes starting", they go in and teach. After, it's time for extracurricular activities for both students AND teachers. It says that in the manuel. Again, thanks Kairosoft!

Really? . Do any of you people read the instructions?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? True Facts: To make couples they have to have a good attitude and pretty high popularity. You don't have all the buildings such as an art room or science lab because different maps would have those buildings. My Opinions: If you have same number of teachers as classrooms you might not be getting the money you want so just fire the ones that don't have alot of education and focus on 1-3 (preferably 1 for less salary, and also depends on how much money you make To get more students try building hotspots, improving grades, and making couples, because it all depends on your schools popularity (a way to help that is to get a student to score a 500 on the final test or change someones career path to a high paying one like spy or int. designer). Well over all its an amazing game even if its a bit pricey its all worth it! For KairoSoft: You've got to make more like this and add Grand Prix Story to the iPod please!

One thing.... If you try to use a devil arrow on someone currently not in a relationship, it says some random Japanese stuff.

うん!!! <33. I've been waiting for a new game from these guys for ages!! Not literally, but you catch my drift. Anyways, listen to previous comments. This game is indeed worth the money. It keeps you in constant focus. You need strategy if you plan on having zoo. I've managed to save as much as I can I finally made my own zoo! Yey me. :p The game is easy to understand and it's quick to beat. Pretty much you're in a constant struggle to maintain a high ranking. Your goal: be the #1 school around the area you're established in. I'm other words, if you pick the mountain side, you have to be #1 in that location. As for other cool things: your students find love! It's cute and fun seeing the rejections happen. As you take "challenging" exams, your tuition goes up. Which means more money in your pockets. BUT!!! Facility usage - the teacher's salaries = the money you'll be lest with + student tuition = the money you'll have for ONE of the 3 semesters. Makes sense? If not, experience is the best teacher. (=´∀｀)人(´∀｀=)

Fun and addicting. For anyone who doesn't know kairosoft, they literally cornered the mobile phone game market in japan with dozens upon dozens of games that have yet to be ported to the US. Hot springs story was by far my favorite and game dev story is a classic. As far as pocket academy goes, so far it is my least favorite only because I'm in the 7th year of my game and I quite frankly just have nothing else to do but keep grades up and upgrade teachers. The game has become a bit repetitive at this point, but I have a feeling it'll pick up when I move on to bigger better maps

Not working anymore. Every time I click on Empty Slot to start a game, the school selection is blank and I can’t do anything from there.

Great job!. This game is one of their best titles. I am currently collecting Kairosoft games. My husband (who isn't a simulation game fan) has been playing this non-stop for days. He is further in the game than I am. Tons of replay value, and such a well thought out system. For those who say it is too hard, you need to get used to simulation gaming. Kairosoft games were created years ago for the PC when games didn't hold your hand through a tutorial. Thank you, Kairosoft. Please add more titles. I will purchase them!

Unlock conditions are bugged!. I couldn’t unlock the lab and the art room for some reasons... I am already a prestigious school and I have music room and one of the students has intellect over 90 but the buildings are not unlocked... I believe the game is bugged...

Kairosoft's best. Endless replay value, best graphics ever, and punishing/rewarding gameplay. Honestly there is no reason to hate this game (too difficult? Are you kidding?), and takes GPStory's place as my favorite game. Buy it. Now. Also, ppl saying to add detention and stuff: What the heck is the point of that? That's the most pointless thing I've ever heard. Although a prom could work, Kairosoft never updates their stuff (these games were made for PC forever ago), that's not even worth talking about.

Just the type of app I wanted!. I always loved playing simulation games like Rollercoaster Tycoon and Zoo Tycoon, so when I discovered this game I bought it in a heart-beat! This game lets you build up and manage a school. You hire the teachers, buy classrooms, gyms, clubs, other facilities, and fun things like panda rooms and trampolines. The game takes just a little while to get the hang of, but once you get going you won't be able to put your iPod down! This app is a must! P.S.- Kairosoft: You should look into creating more games like this. For example: games where you build a zoo, farm, theme park, city, mall, etc! I'd definently buy these games if they came out!

buybuybuy!!. so about a year ago I bought the first kairosoft game before a long car trip and played nearly 8 hours straight! then a year on I find out they have about 5 other games that have come out, so I downloaded this one to start with and I've played non stop. I have another big car trip in 2 days I'm actually looking forward to just playing this game and a few other kairosoft ones I've downloaded, seriously amazing game worth every cent!!!

I started playing 12:47 pm 14th July and I couldn't stop playing and I am still playing this game ( I only stop to review rate or sleep!) this is the best game i have and I guarantee u can get hours of fun from it... Perfect Game. I absolutely love this game. It's a bit tricky at the start with not much money but there is a way to boost the students tuition by completing challenges, after I found out about the challenges you could do I started getting more money so it's not a big issue anymore. ✌🏻️ Perfect game

During class I even play it, bit there are two things this game needs, one is that you should be able to control your guy, the second thing you need to be able to do is move rooms around. Average. Out of all their games, I regret buying this one. Very hard, and for a long time you don’t go anywhere, nothing happens. Game moves very slowly... They do produce some great, addicting games, but this isn’t one of them.

Money is Annoying. Money is sooo hard to earn but losing money is sooo easy, its not as fun when I'm sitting around waiting for more money to come about. I had to fire all my teachers just to get off the minus. This really annoys me, please make an update that gives u more money or things take away money. It would make the game MUCH more fun. Otherwise the game is highly addicting until you get annoyed because your on minus $50,000 -_-

Great game. I love this game. I found it great fun placing class rooms and seeing my little person (and the others) work there way from class to class. Out of the 2 others I have played I think this one is the best (so far).

Move And Sell. This game is great but you should add a move tool which should cost about 20% of the item being moved and when you destroy something you should get 50% of the original price back and it should not cost any money.

Surprisingly good. I'm not even sure what prompted me to download this kind of game as I'm usually all about the zombies and empires but this is actually quite great. So much so I purchased the full version. Obviously it could use a few updates, perhaps better instructions etc but it's oddly addictive. Give it a go and hang in there till you get what you're doing, it may take a few tries!

Please Kairosoft, if your reading this, please think about these game themes to add to your game series; -Music Studio: where you can build recording studios, lounge areas, you cab hire auto-tuners, promoters, song writers. singers are your clients. -Laser Tag/ Paint Ball: build trees, barrels and other obstacles to enhance the area, and add laser effects and mists. Also be able to add waiting areas, sign up areas and toilets! -Movie Set/Studio: hire actors, directors, make up/outfit designers, effect artists, script writers and set designers. Choose what type of movie you want to make (an action-adventure, horror-Romance, Ect. Build different types of sets (forest sets, caves, houses, buildings, ect.) meeting rooms, and trailers for the cast to hang out in! -Karate Dojo: build meditation areas and sparring mats, build statues/shrines, and more. Hire professional martial artists to train your students. Please give these ideas a try!!! (other fans of Kairosoft, speak up if you like these ideas!)

Great but Difficult Game. This game is like any other Kairosoft game, it fun and addictive. But the only difference is that its difficult (but in a good way). For one thing I'm always begging to have some money. I spend most of the time just looking at the screen and not doing anything. But when I do get some money its only about $1000 and that does not go very far. Another complaint is that the cutscenes get a bit tedious after watching them about a dozen times. I honestly don’t enjoy having to watch unskippable cut-scenes every time a girl and a guy bump into each other in the hall and decide to fall in love. If you are looking to buy your first Kairosoft game do not get this, get Game Dev Story or Hot Spring Story. You will find them much easier and enjoyable to play (not that this isn't enjoyable). If you are looking for one of Kairosofts harder games go for Pocket Academy!

I Heart Kairosoft. Great! Another wonderful game by the kairosoft kings. All your games have been great and this is the only app i've ever been bothered to review and the second iv'e been bothered to rate because I had to let everyone know how good you are!

FABULOUS!!. I was at first very hesitant to spend $4.99(or whatever price) on this so I waited for it to price down a little so that my heart won't melt at the price.. And eventually it came down to 99c so I was overjoyed!! I quickly downloaded before the offer ended,because I downloaded the lite version first and LOVED IT!! So this is a must BUY/DOWNLOAD app!! It's a waste not to download,I highly praise it..<3

Another Great Game!. For years gamers have been asking for game companies to translate hit Japanese games, but most companies refused to, insisting the world won't like them as it's too "Japanese" for the world. Well thank you Kairosoft!! I liked running a game company, loved managing a hot spring, and having an absolute blast managing a school! Hopefully other companies will take a hint and start translating hit games they deemed too Japanese for the world. (esp you Konami!)

Great game. It's really good but I spend ages looking at the screen, waiting for new facilities to appear. Having hundreds of thousands of dollars doesn't mean anything if there's nothing to buy.

First you make your avatar then choose your genre. Features include: Write songs (obviously), make albums, get featured in songs, feature people is songs, make music vids, award shows, and build a studio and sign people to make money. Movie Studio Studio like Grand Prix and Game Dev but different just in features

waiting for all language version. I'm a huge fan of Kairosoft. And recently you guys start to release other language version such as Chinese. That is great. Even i can understand english and Japanese, but mother language always better then second language. And I hope you can release more all language version! And I'm waiting for your new game.

Fantastic game. No data needed! Great game!! You can play for hours it's so addicting. Would love an update with more things to research and more challenges. It also doesn't kill your battery. Win win win.

Earning $ is easy!!!. Get rid of the things costing u alot and stuff u don't need(Example:In the Lake map there is a stone robot which u cannot reach/has no point in the beginning but charges u 500$ per month, etc. Go to invatations when it is not exam time, don't over-hire and no need to improve your teachers level too much cause it increases how much they earn.

Why?. Ok the game is funy but how i can have money?ok donjon village is so cool comparer to pocket academie!!!!!

Is it a glitch?. In the beginning of the game we were allowed to select our characters gender, name, face, and type. I chose my character to be a "leader" type, but when I started the game it was an "average"....why? My character graduated and came back to the school...but its type remains as average. Great game and all, I have played this several times on different mobiles, but this has never happened.

Good. Good for those who like this genre of Kairosoft game. Personally I prefer Game Dev and Pocket League type games but still good!

Great. Awesome game. I finally figured out how to not go bankrupt. The trick is to do a challenge or two every month. And not to spend too much money at once. 

Review. Well first of all it's an awesome game but on the down side it's not so easy to make money like when you need to pay the teachers and for the supplies. To pay for that it coast a lot of money. I always end up with - 30.00. So if you fix it then I'll give you 5 starts everyday and I'll keep it up for a month. Your choice

Very solid little game.. I had never heard of these "Story" games by Kairosoft up until a few days ago, and I made the decision to download Pocket Academy after reading floods of positive reviews. The school concept appealed most to me as ironically, I'm studying my Bachelor of Education. The purchase was worth it. I can easily say Pocket Academy has been my most played game in the last few days. Without a doubt, it's as everyone is reviewing it. Solid, addictive, and complex. Two constructive criticisms I have: 1. Please consider adding a sort of "endless" mode that separately keeps track of high scores (or not) that you can put an infinite amount of hours into if you wanted to. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but personally, I love simulation games except when they forcefully end after allowing the user to progress so much (e.g - Harvest Moon on SNES). I feel Pocket Academy forces you (arguably encourages you) to restart, albeit in a new game-type style after the end of the 10th year. 2. When building special ground specifically on raised terrain, accidentally building for example a sidewalk, and placing it on a mountain side is surprisingly hard to remove once it's been joined to an adjacent hallway. I still am unable to erase one tile of sidewalk because it's so awkwardly placed at such an odd angle. Recommended!

All time favourite kairosoft game. This is the second of this type of game I tried and was by far my favourite so far. It helps once you understand how the combos work and that you can google them online. I have played through the game maybe 3 times in the last few years. Offers about 12-20 hours of play before becoming fairly repetitive and boring. Certainly worth 6$.

Amazing!. Kairosoft really knows their stuff! It seems like every game they make gets more and more complicated and there's so much more to do! A few tips so you don't end up in debt: - Don't get new teachers until you have more than four students. - Do the challenges! They will raise the tuition. - More fields early on make quite a bit of money. Good luck and happy playing!

More Difficult, But Fun. Definitely the most difficult of the Kairosoft games, but not impossible. I got crushed on my first attempt, but my second was a breeze. The trick in this game is to complete all Challenges really quickly at the start of the game before spamming teachers to get more students Anyway, keep it up, Kairosoft

A miss. While I still find PA to be a good game it's missing that crucial element that exists in other kiro games. Sure you can still build, hire employees but in GSD we had game types to unlock and in HSS we had customer types to unlock. Here the concept of dream jobs does exist but it's a pretty hollow shell of what the other games give.

Good, but. Can't move buildings. Really bad.

Deserves 5 Stars. This is a surprisingly simple concept of a game but it is actually amazingly addictive and very enjoyable to play. I just wish that every room would be available on every level because some have pools, gyms, and soccer fields while others dont. It is hard to make money but just dont spend any at the start and just focus on waiting until a monthly income is coming instead of a debit. Once you start making money( even very small amounts) you can start buying things. I recommend getting the bulletin board as soon as you can tho because if u have requests youll tend to make your students happier and encourage new students to come when you fullfill those requests. Bottom line: Dont spend any money unless your making money because if u blow all your money on research and rooms...teacher salaries and monthly upkeep will put u in the red really fast.

Fun But..... I like this app a lot, but the only thing I don't like is that for the 1st year, you lose money very quickly and so you don't do much because you don't have enough money to do anything! I was bored at the beginning but it eventually got better after a long time!!!!

Willow O' Wisp. I played the lite version and that was what convinced me to buy the full game. However, the full game does not work. For example, if I were to press the start button, I'd have to press the space above it.

I want more story xP. I heard about this game when I stumbled across a tiny tower review/cheat. I got the lite version and right as I was getting interested my trial was up, soo I bought the game. I've spent days just playing this game and idk why. It's a pretty good game though. I would give it 5 stars if there was more of a dialog between characters or more relationship stuff ahaha xD

BUT.... I love this game sooooooooooooooo much! I play it every hour! The only thing i wanna tell kairosoft is that PLZ PLZ PLZ! Add more requests for facilities such as dorms, Study Halls (to improve intelligence), Skate Parks (if you unlocked the skateboard), and MAYBE Lockers. Other than that it's like my 2nd dream game. P.S. I would also appreciate if your next update made more maps that are bigger.👍

Kairosoft has done it again.... This truthfully is one of the best IOS app developers out there. This game studio is able to develop strategy apps that are so addicting and when your finally a success in the game it feels so good..only con is even though the graphics give it an unique feel it still is Old and I would like some other type of graphic engine use. These games are scary since they can take hours from your regular day and then continue to be entertaining and making you want for more. Congratulations on another great title! This is my second fave.. I love world cruise story more, but this game is great to. I have a suggestion. Fans would love to have a theme park type game. You could build a theme park like Disney land. It would be so fun. Or a zoo game. Also a scary town type of game. Where the people that live there are all monsters, ghosts, vampires, where wolves, bad guys like Freddy crueger.

Game dev story all over again, which is a good thing. Brilliant strategey sim. It reminds me much of Game Dev. Story which was fantastic! Hot springs was a disapointment but Pocket Academy brought my hopes back up because it is very addicting and entertaining to watch your world grow, well in this case a school, but you get my drift. A definite "BUY" in my opinion. You will NOT be disapointed.

Woohoo this game is great!. I love this game! It's so good but I wish you would get more transfer students quicker! And it would be super fun if you could go on field trips. Also I don't really know how you get more teacher rooms! Can I have some help with that? Anyways this game is really fun! Everyone should buy it!!!

Extremely Fun!. Very, very, VERY, fun. I played this game to a point where I was addicted, checking back on my people every hour.  love this game.......Unfortunately, I have one remark about the game.  In about Year 9 (Of 11 years), I got pretty bored of the same routine over and over. Basically, this game is repetitive in gameplay.  To make sure you like it, get the Lite version first (A mistake I made ) and see if you like it. Also, I got it half off ($1.99) so also try to scoop up a sale before it ends. Hope I saved you some ca$h! 

Well I think it's a good game I just wish they would let you choose what type of map and scramble up what it looks like each time And they should give you more money in the beginning also after a certain point they don't let you get any new rooms to build even though there are more please fix!

Just amazing!. I bought this a while ago for about $4 but it was TOTALLY WORTH IT! it's so addictive and I love how there are different school maps you can start on :) the only real DOWNSIDE is that they repeat names of some of students you already had... I mean it's not THE END OF THE WORLD but if they could fix that :)

Best game ever. Kairosoft makes the awesomest games ever need to release another one asap and the reason y u end up with less money than u started with is because the the teacher salaries and maintenance cost r higher than the tuition payment I had trouble with this to so complete more challenges to get higher tuition

It's Awesome. This game is awesome, but there is one thing that kinda bothers me. It's that there's no time schedule for the students and teachers or at least have like all the classes have class at the same time, so like have a bell ring then all the students go to there classrooms and the teachers teach stuff or something like that

Fun but to expensive should be 1$. I like the game and it was fun but I gave to three stares because by year three I had 100k in the bank two students with over 450 grade average (that CLASS finish with a 475 grade average) and I kinda felt like I could keep going until I'm the number one school but what's the point? I already did pretty much everything I played with clubs academics and oh wait that's it and the clubs btw don't do much I just wish there was a little more to do for 5 dollars if it was 1 dollar or free I could understand but it's five dollars

Bookworm. I am extremely wary about what games I buy, especially with ones that are over 99 cents. I have a quite a few pages of games and honestly, I play this game CONSTANTLY!! This game has given me hours and hours and hours of gameplay value and I would highly recommend this game! I love all of kairosoft's games, but love this one the most! It is an amazing game that is well worth the price!

Best Kairosoft game yet!. As a huge fan of game dev story, I love these management scenario games, and the little pixelated dudes that dwell within... Pocket Academy takes this much deeper, and is in my opinion is the best in game in Kairosoft's catalogue. Granted, it is not for everyone, especially those brand new to Kairosoft games, but for those who loved game dev story but yearned for something deeper and more challenging, Kairosoft has delivered! Pick it up!!

So fun! But I need help!. This game is so much fun. I do agree there could a few things added, but it's pretty fun the way it is. My only thing is I don't know how to get more students. My very first class grew to 6 students, but now the classes never get beyond 2 students. I'm on year 8. What do I need to do to get more students?

Names. For those of you saying you are tired of seeing the names. Menu->Lists->Student Lists scroll through until you have found your student select "Use Item" then scroll through to find "Name Book" here you can change your student's name your tired of seeing I'm not sure what year you have to be to use though. Also my last review might have sent twice sorry about that.

Needs updates. I played this in 2011 on someone else's phone. I refused to give the phone back because it was so addictive! So now I have my own iPhone, this app became one of the first apps I've purchased, despite the steep price. However, I'm disappointed that there hasn't been any updates, improvements, or changes since the launch of this app. Kairosoft should really consider some user's requests for added characters, interactions, and events - such as detentions, class trips, and such. That'd be really awesome.

Kairosoft...need I say more?. Another fantastic game from Kairosoft, and a huge step up in terms of presentation and difficulty. It's easy to pick up and play with when you're in line or have a few minutes to kill, and it's also easy to sink hours and hours into it. I have yet to be let down by a game Kairosoft developed!

Amazing!! PLEASE READ!. This is better than Hot Spring Story!! I'm addicted!!!!! I'm like on year 8 and have 5 teachers and 20 something students! Here's how to get rich : 1. rTake challenges and it will increase the student tuition. I'm on level 5 on all my subjects that I have so far. I'm earning like more than 20,000 dollars every month! And you can earn more subjects too. 2. Buy fields and animal rooms. Harvesting crops give you a lot of money too. And when you animals mature you get money also. My crocodile room gives me 350 dollars. I have 3 chicken rooms, 2 rabbit rooms, 2 crocodile rooms, 1 cow room, 1 duck room, 1 pig room, and 3 fields. XD 3. When one of your students get invited to like a Dog Show or Contest, GO! You can earn MORE than 1,000 dollars. 4. Make clubs and go to contests. If you get a high rank, you will earn a lot of money.

Needs more guidance. I've played this for a few hours and I have to admit I'm still not sure what this is about. The little guys are dating, graduating and getting jobs, money is increasing ... but I don't know what to do next. I wish there was a tutorial that explained more about the possibilities of the game. Right now, my screen is almost full and I really don't know what to try to do next. I've reached a steady state where my income is slightly more than my expenses but trying to change anything leads to bankruptcy. Meh. I'm bored with this.

Great. Easy pick-up, put-down game. Ok, not so easy to put down. But loads to do and lots of fun. Take it slow to start, one teacher can handle your kids for the first year or two...work on challenges, gardens animals for more cash/tuition fees, then start building up. Oh, and you don't get grass till your school expands...enjoy!

My least favorite of the kairosoft titles. The biggest flaws of this game comes to three things: No refund when demolishing buildings or plants. (its an incredibly tight budget game with lack incentive of sending students away for cash. Cash or higher grades? Hmmm) No option to move buildings for a cost. (When discovering spots or creating them. This could be a huge $$$ saver and fundamental lifesaver.) Students sometimes freeze up when harvesting plants.(Just get stuck, not learning till a summer/spring/winter break.) --- Minus this, and you got another solid kairosoft inc game. Same cutesy graphics, "secret" characters, but above all that cheesy soundtrack. (Oh the irony, GameDev has the best tolerable music.) Even with the tutorial, some things aren't truely explained with the meaning of some stats/specials. Other then after the 6th year, you feel the monotomous grind really get to you. So far, i've downloaded nearly every title except soccer, grand prix and edo.

Kairo-Addict (& spoilers). Unlike other Kairosoft games, this game took me several re-starts in order to figure it out. I would give it 4 1/2 stars, but I love Kairosoft games too much. :| There were some concerns regarding a few facilities being unlocked, so here it is: SPOILER ALERT: to unlock the lab, home ec and art room, I placed a dojo ( 2 gyms required ), opened 4 gate entrances and surrounded them with woods for higher spirits. Not sure if it will help, but it did wonders for me. I'm in the Heavenly Hills map, year 6 with 22 students and 11 popular spots. What I don't like about this map is that couples are not hooking up. I had 1 couple pair get together (1st pair), but everything else failed. It's not bothering me too much, but it's fun to see cute couples chatting in the hallways. :P Kairosoft, please hurry with Dungeon Story. :D I('d) pay full price for all of your games!! <3

Quite possibly.... THE best kairosoft game yet! Better than game dev, epic astro and hot springs! Be warned though: this is the only kairosoft game that has a challenge. (this is a good thing, for some) Oh and in other kairosoft games you don't have a connection to your people (staff away team etc.) but in this one you do! I would SERIOUSLY reccomend if you like kairosoft games in general.

Make all games 99 cents. Kairosoft make all your games 99 cents then more people will buy them. This game is bit confusing at first but it had that kairosoft game feeling all over. If you love simulation games this is it. But I won't pay more than $1 for any game on iPhone.

Fun game!. Lots of fun, as expected from Kairosoft games. Retains the old-school charm of Game Dev Story and Hot Springs Story. What I like most is how you get to see the characters somewhat develop personalities over time (they are adorable to watch when they ask each other out). One complaint: when the students' tuition fees come in, the amount is deducted from rather than added to the school's savings. Any way this can soon be fixed? Thanks!

Great Game!. How do you get more students? I have 31, but you can up to 36. I have almost 20 hot spots, i'm prestigious, and #1. I have had 7 couples in school history, and have had students graduate that became Int. designer and such. My teachers skills are 70 all the way to almost 100. How come I'm not getting more students??

A little disappointing. I think Game Dev Story is one of the greatest apps of all time, and looked so forward to another offering from kairosoft. Pocket academy has basically the same UI and graphics, however it just doesn't flow or make much sense. The great thing about Game Dev Story was not the UI or graphics but the simple but deep gameplay. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE kairosoft!!! Dont abandon your finest work. Give us more Game Dev Story and stop with the overly complicated, not well explained sim games.

Okay Game, Too Pricey. I really enjoy the company's games and I had faith that this would be good but unfortunately it could definitely use a full upgrade. Maybe a relocation option for buildings, directives for just your original character or even just a way to collect a few research points from student events because the entire game becomes just waiting on those to build up because money isn't an issue at all or maybe just an upgrade to graphics, anything to make it feel like I didn't just waste five bucks.

Great game!. It's so fun! It takes a little while to learn, but once you get the hang of it, it is -so- worth it. :D A few improvements would be if the player could rename students and teachers, and more new designs for both. Also, if you could design your own transfer/new students, that would be great. More maps would be neat too. ^_~ Besides that, this game is really fun and a great time killer. :) I definitely recommend it.

Another Hit!. Kairosoft is my favorite iOS game developer by leaps and bounds. They constantly create strategy sims that keep me coming back. This is yet another one if their games that takes so much of my time from me. Frankly its scary how addictive their games are to me. I hope they bring grand prix story to IOS!! As well as their other games from their Japanese site. Their games are instant buys for me!

First Review!. Seems to be my favorite Kairo game yet! It combines management from GDS and HSS all while adding it's own new management ideas combining into an amazing experience. It's also slowed down compared to past games, giving you more time to plan, and relax, while not feeling rushed, and extending gameplay time. When's the next game coming? You've already got my support!

Great!!. This game is wonderful I hardly have any complaints but.......... I can't make another teacher room which affects me because I can't hire more teachers and I only have one teacher room So if anyone knows how to make another teacher room please tell me Otherwise I would recommend this game to everyone it's great!!!!!! 

Awesome!. I love the game and i'm hooked! My first kairosoft game was game dev story and after buying that i got all of kairosofts other games and this one is my favorite!!  i have a suggestion for your new game: 1 you could run a restaurant or store where you would be able to stock items and buy new items. 2 you could run a apartment complex where you build apartment buildings, parking lots, parks, pools, and other stuff to attract people. I would be more than happy if kairosoft used one of these ideas 

Yayayayay! And what…. I've waited a while for this game and now I have it!! My favorite game! Although slow when you start when you get more students, that makes it more interesting! Buy this game! So fun!! I don't know why it says $3.99 now. For some reason in the morning it said 75% off and I got it for $0.99, and now its the afternoon and it went back to normal! I guess I got a REALLY good deal!!

BEST GAME EVER!!!!. Sadly I do have some requests for improvements such as Having dorms for the students and have roommates should change between night and day Teachers should be in classrooms more There should be more couples Being able to give students detention and be able to create report cards

The worst of the best.. I tried to enjoy the game, I really did! But, it's way too repetitive! During year 1, I was like, "Good game! Let me do some special classes!" Then, at year 3, "Wow.. Another fail at being a couple? Oh well.. Lemme do another special class that'll barely give points." After year 1, that's when you realize how hard the game is. You also realize how slow time passes by. Game Dev and MMS have the best lengths. PA has the longest, and boring length. Really, this is the worst of the best. I can't get into the game, like I can with the rest! And, you get money after every season, no? That was a big problem. If you're in debt during the season, it's up to the AI to plant or use animals, but that takes time! I recommend this game to a gamer who likes repetitive and slow gameplay. Sorry, just didn't work!

Great game! But.... This is a great game! After playing game dev story... I wanted to get this but was a little unsure. Turns out this a a very fun and old school stimulation time killer. But there is only one problem... As someone else have mentioned, when students pay me tuitions, instead of having more money, I get -12,000!!! What is up with that? Completely stops me from growing the game, buying facilities an expanding the school, as well as taking challenges! It's a horrible bug and I hope they fix it soon! Because $$$ is such an important factor of this game.... Fixing it would be much MUCH appreciated! =)

Needs a Delete Option. Love the game to pieces but there's one thing within the game that bothers me deeply about it and hopefully Karisoft Staff has noticed this issue as its damaging towards gameplay. When I build a structure and decide that I want to cut back on my expenses though the problem with this game is that once you place down a structure it can not be deleted nor sold which means you have to be cautious on what you are placing down as this can potentially harm school income indefinitely and eventually your expenses will exceed student tuition. That's not a joke

Excellent. I was hesitant to buy this game. Not really into the high school theme. Overall if you look past the goofy floor cleaning that happens once you build a locker the game does grow on you. There are some periods of cash shortage, build as many fields to harvest for cash as you can then cash flow will start to trickle in steadily. Another consideration is looking to the combos when you build. Popular spots help boost and attract new students.

Something about it... I'm an avid fan of this game company, because it's different from the others. All of the games need careful investments, or you could end up bankrupt. And whenever I finally end up winning( as in collecting a lot of money and building to extreme) , there's a new one out. Can't wait for another!

Another amazingly addictive sim. Kairosoft has done it time and time again proving they can make a deep yet addicting simulation game based on just about anything. Personally I've spent well over 10 hours just on this game alone. Keep it up and keep bringing on the fun!

Kairosoft Rocks. With every release Kairosoft gets better and better. I normally don't go for paid games but Kairosoft's three released games are totally worth it. Like everything there are improvements to be made but Pocket Academy--as well as Game Developers Story and Hot Springs Story--are great additions to your app library.

Great!!!. At first it is realllly easy to Get into the negatives. I have every single kairosoft game and this is by far one of the best. The first four schools I tried in pocket academy I failed miserably. The last time though was GREAT. The thing I most enjoy about this game though is you can really get attached to the students. It is super fun and don't give up if you get into the negatives in terms of money. Just start over.
