This is a kairosoft game except... The ads and real time waiting. There is no way to remove these options to make it feel more like Grand Prix Story or any kairosoft game but instead it feels like a cash grab, unlike soccer league 2 or others they released free with ads. If you can get through the 2 hour build times and vehicle repairs it can have it’s moments like classic GPS

Ehhh. The Original GP story is better based on the fact that micro-transactions were basically nonexistent and the game pace was better. In GP2 everything becomes Pay 2 play. The game’s aesthetic, mechanics, playability is awesome..a huge improvement from GP1 but please for the love of god get rid of micro-transactions Kairosoft!! You’re better than that

Good game ruined. I love the 1st game and most of the games this company makes. I like a lot of the new thing in this new version as well. But, the micro transactions ruin this game. You have a energy bar that limits your play, constantly waiting on timer to count down for things, and a premium currency, so on and so on. I will be deleting this game and replaying the 1st one

Game is incredibly fun. But waiting 6 days for a task to complete is embarrassing and is turning me away from playing. Fuel is extremely hard to come by, I’m limited to how many refineries and storage tanks I can buy. Upgrading them to expand max capacity takes 6 days for 1k more fuel. This game was very fun and drew a lot of my time when I first started and things took an hour max to complete. Now there’s little reason to open the app while every build task takes 6 days. Update the game, pull everything to a max of 1 day and let us have fun again.

Great Shame. Kariosoft has been infected by the freemium virus. GP Story 1 was my favorite mobile game. I was excited for a sequel then noticed they changed the formula. They disrespect your time by showing a constant ad while adding fuel as an wait or pay to play meter. With so many great games out there, there is no need to play one that disrespects you. Don't play this game. Play something that is worth your time investment.

I dig it.. I've always been a fan of Kairosoft and GP2 has been fun to play. F2P are always kinda iffy, but this one doesn't really hold you back that much for not spending cash.

Good depth, lasting pace. I was worried there would be a pay wall but there is really not- you just have to sure to invest fully in fuel production and storage with the in game currency, and you do have to grind it a bit, but it's not bad at all. There are many progression options, and lots of nuances to experiment with in the drivers and car parts and mechanics- (some might even say too many, but I personally love games with more detail than is humanly possible to discover on the first play through.)

A really great remake of a classic. I really enjoyed playing through this game. I’m not fully completed, but I’m still in love with the classic Kairosoft visuals. My only reach for improvement from here was that it felt like there was too much to reach for. When you have options, that’s a really good thing! But when the choices on improvement of your car and character are very open for options, it can get a bit confusing, and for those who haven’t been experienced, they can artificially increase the difficulty curve when they’re trying to do a lot of things with a limited set of resources. Other than that, sponsors also felt a lot less relevant, because in the last game, it was a piece of cake to get them. Now it’s awkward, because it relies on one building being leveled up with your limited construction crew. Other than that and the freemium issue, I still think it’s a great throwback, and for those who didn’t get the original, I would still recommend this one, even though I would argue the other is even better. Keep it up Kairosoft, I’m still a believer in you! (Also can we please get a remake of Pocket Academy?)

Confusing mess. I loved the first GP Story and was hoping for more of the same. Motorsport Manager is amazing, but it doesn’t have the charm of GP Story. This is a confusing mess of a game. Terrible user interface, awful documentation, micro transactions, lots of clicking. I want to build a racing empire and race. This is a game that continually makes me do things other than that. Guess it’s back to Motorsport Manager. Massive disappointment.

Great game but crashes (w/ iPhone 7 plus). I have iPhone 7 Plus with new update. Great game when I opened it the first time. Tried to open it again but states that it is “ Updating app...”. I click ok then it takes me to App Store where there is no update.. only the open button to open the app... this has been happening all day...

Great improvements over prequel.. There are now a lot more features over Grand Prix Story 1 with new systems like friends, dueling player ai, and creating your own campus. The pacing of progression has slowed down since the prequel which is positive because there are a lot more systems to keep you busy and reward you by coming back from time to time so you won't get burnt out as fast. Although the game uses tapjoy for premium currency, it hasn't impacted my enjoyment by not having any. This game looks incredible. The level of detail in the courses are incredible too. Well done, kairosoft!

Charming Art, Fun Mechanics. Very fun take on the racing management game, with lots of progression and customization. The art style removes some of the seriousness, and adds to the overall enjoyment of the game. Ads are not intrusive and award you the premium currency in the game. Only two complaints, is that to progress the raffle is almost required, and you do not get a daily raffle, not even for the cheapest raffle. I feel like this would keep players consistently logging in every day. The other complaint is that for some buildings’ tool tips, translations are missing, but it does not impact the game too much.

Good if.... The gam is great and has huge unique details however the raffle system would be better if it wasn’t medal based and you could use tickets awarded for ranking up or winning gps. Overall good

Maybe Better the Original. I like that there is a lot more depth to the gp 2, but I do wish that there were more things that happened instantaneously and it takes quite a long time to upgrade and research new cars

Good but not great. The in-app cost is too high imo and the wait times without iap can be frustrating which prevents a higher score. If they offered a single free premium ticket periodically like skyfighter United, it would make the medal costs palpable.

One of the better games on the App Store. Love it. Great game. Always keeps me interested and never gets dull. There’s always a sense of wanting more out of it which makes the game much more interesting and fun.

Time sink. It’s good and a lot of fun. Getting a good car and winning is rewarding. Though, it is a little confusing and not much guidance within the game. Plus you’ll find yourself stuck at certain stages and have to spend real days to unlock things that hopefully (but not always)help you win. That said I am surprised at how addicted I am.

Ruined a masterpiece. It’s like Kairosoft sat down and said “how can we ruin the best game we ever made?” And they succeeded in doing that goal. They took a game you could pay for and then sit and play for hours on end and now you have a game with stamina points in the format of fuel and after you have done two races, you must wait 8 hours before you can race again. Want to build a new car? No problem, two hours wait. It’s a game you want to play but they deliberately put mechanisms in to PREVENT you from playing. Of course they dangle the carrot and say “if you want to keep playing, insert a quarter”. And there it is. It is a game you can only play for fifteen minutes a day or you can pay them for fifteen minute Increments. Awful, just awful. Kairosoft, you don’t even deserve the right to own this game anymore. You are a disgrace and have fallen so far from the greatness you once were.

Good Game Buuuut... It's very fun and addicting. Not a huge fan of having to wait a certain amount of time to progress. But I'm learning that it's officially a generation of phone games along with phones. I'd like a way to save your game without losing everything if something happens like, if you need to factory reset. I'd also like the ability to play without using data. On a family plan with everything unlimited except for data with 5 people on it. Data runs dry fairly quickly, imagine the people who strictly have to connect to wifi to play this game.

Good time wasting game. A good game overall.. however it’s just a simulation where you level up your vehicle, each part, and race with others increasing in difficulty. I love Kairo games because it’s a good time waster and it’s just fun (for me) to create a lot of things and grow.

Thoroughly enjoyable. This is my first Kairosoft game, but won’t be the last. It takes a little experimentation to figure out how each of the systems work but it’s very rewarding to watch tour teams improve and win the tougher races.

Fantastic, Fun, and Exciting!. A lot of fun to play. A very unique race car team building game where you don’t actually drive the cars but you build the “Pit Crew” (Mechanics) and drivers, as well as the cars that are driven on different tracks from around the world. This is a very in-depth game for what it is. A fresh new and exciting way to create a town with many different buildings, develop and upgrade cars to your preference, and create a crew that you can then upgrade to your liking and race through the campaign side of things or you may choose to race other human built cars/teams. Definitely worth a download, I greatly enjoy this game!

Good but really bad in app purchases make the games core slow. Loved the original and this one couldn't possibly have any problems and it looks great from what I have done... However the one problem I do have feels kinda reachy for money you already pay for the game.. So why so many in game purchases and why so expensive in app purchases are just a given now days but allot of other ways to do in app purchases without ruining the core of the game and make it extremely slow game without spending money

Disappointed. But still decent. When I saw the sequel to the original Grand Prix was out I was ecstatic. I have a lot of respect for Kairosoft and the games they have created, mostly back when single player story games could occupy hours upon hours of time like the original. However I soon realized this game was much different. There is a pay to win factor, buying nitro and other cars to do better. Also, repairing, building, and researching take actual amounts of time to complete (15 minutes, etc.). It is a little disappointing knowing this game was turned into a p2w, time progression app, but I still enjoy the game and I hope the company does continue to make games more similar to the originals (which were in my opinion the best). The online feature is pretty irrelevant and I don’t think adds any benefit to the game itself. While it seems like a Work in progress, the single player games without additional in-app-purchases were and still are far superior than these types

little racer. The little racing game that will keep you playing for hours and loads of fun working on making your car and team number one!

A good follow up to a classic. I played the original and was not excited about a FTP version, in this case Kairosoft has achieved a good balance between free gameplay and what you can pay for. There are certainly pay “speed bumps” but no “Wall”. It’s best for a semi-casual player thoughts because constant play will cost you (in which case pick up Gramd Prix Story 1)

Great daily time killer. I check in a few times a day. Enough content to keep me interested. Obviously wish there was a paid version though

For GP Story Fans. Their formula is repetitive across titles, but if you are a fan of the hire, train, level up, build, design, refine, organize, and manage gameplay, you will enjoy GP Story 2 even more than the 1st game in the series. The compound building aspects double the depth of the original, and the number of car types, classes, and levels is sometimes overwhelming!

Great and rewarding game, even with IAPs. This game continues off the traditional ND excellence of its predecessor and does a good job of expanding and introducing new things to keep the game fresh. The addition of IAPs though and a stamina system through "fuel" does however cheapen the experience. Although I have yet to run into any major limits in the game, there is a cash shop, raffles, and premium currency. In addition to that, there are ads on startup and littered throughout the game. I would've paid for the game outright if I could eliminate these systems, but regardless, it is a worthy sequel.

Ruined. Kairosoft has ruined the formula for all their recent games, going to the pay to play with continuous ad wheel. I still play the first grandprix but am not going to put up with this. I would probably pay 10+$ for this game to be able to play it like the older ones. The game seems to be awesome though. A lot of improvement over the first. Just not worth the pay to play model.

Broken by ads. Recent update forces ads at every startup, and the ability to close the ad is placed either on the clock or on the pull down tray at top right. The ad, even after it’s time, is unable to be closed. This has rendered the game totally unplayable, locked behind an ad wall that is unable to be closed! Would gladly pay to get rid of ads, but that option is not available.

Amazing but.... I love this game, it has a type of simple but complex way to it. Also for people who play on an iPhone the push notifications feature is not working at all. Please fix this problem, Thank you.

Great game but really makes you want to spend money. I enjoyed playing the original grand prix story. Tried this excited that it was free on mobile, but realize that you cant play it continuously due to the mobile game nature. Still enjoy it very much though

My latest kairosoft addiction. More depth than the first GP Story. Really enjoying this game. IAP are not necessary, as some have noted, but can speed up your advancement (as expected). After a week I’m mostly using upgraded stock cars, rather than rare ones. Really fun game.

Fun remake. I’m more of a fan of the paid versions of Kairosoft games, where it’s free of ads and in-app-purchases. But as far as in-app-purchase games go, this one feels well made and well balanced, and is a faithful followup to the fun first game.

Errors. It f'd up randomly and deleted my game progress. Literally a FEW hours put in to it and it finally kept saying "message" updating game. After that it would crash. Good game though I guess if you want to abruptly stop playing and loose everything you put all that time in.

Well-executed free to play. This is an improvement on the original in every way, and the free to play approach is implemented very well without being intrusive to players who don't want to spend big. I bought a pack of GP medals for $2 when I started and have not spent money since. The game is very satisfying to progress through and the world is very charming as well.

It’s cool, prefer the original. There’s a bunch of new additions like head 2 head races. New research items, new items, different ways to power up your vehicle, etc. Biggest gripe is the current freemium model will at some point or another have you annoyed with the wait. Whether it’s gas to race, research points to update something or for construction to finish. A paid version would probably be substantially better

Good, takes time. Free game but good. Takes a good amount of time to actually get going but you don't have to use micro transactions at all to enjoy yourself. Worth it

Still as fun!. It’s just like the original just more amplified with extras. Only thing that gives this game a 4 instead of a 5 is the wait time for everything. I want to race not wait for fuel. All in all a fun game & still as cool as the original.

Cutest racing manager sim Eva. Actually one of the better racing manager sims out there. Even with the silly fantasy theme on top of it. Wish there was a way to get rid of ads. Would pay to not see them.

Disappointment :(. I had played Grand Prix Story for countless hours since around 2014, probably played through it 20 times since then. Was hesitant to download this one for a long time because it was free but finally went for it. They added a lot of good stuff to this game but the freemium model with IAP’s ruins it for me. I really hope they make a new GPS following the traditional kairosoft game style. Wouldn’t even mind paying more than the normal $5 because I know I will play it many many hours. I strongly dislike having to wait extended periods of time to do certain actions, its just not a fun game even if you paid to skip. There is no goal, no deadline, no high score to go for, no risk except wasting your time by having to wait hours for fuel to go into another race, just mindless gameplay.

Ruined a great game. GP Story is probably my favorite game on the iOS platform. The simple mechanics combined with lots of replay value and different strategies led me to put many many hours into that game. Naturally I was extremely excited when I saw that Kairosoft released Grand Prix Story 2. Unfortunately the in App purchases, pay-to-advance and constant distraction of ads killed this game me. So many of the visual assets were re-used from the first game, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing except that they just don’t make sense(the roadster is used as sedan model?) ultimately the ads and pay to play just absolutely kill this game for me. Kairosoft has gone downhill from the days of Game Dev Story and adventure town.

Awesome and addicting!. This is an amazing game, I’m a fan of the original Grand Prix story so this was a blast playing this one. Two weeks in now and I feel like there’s so much more to develop and build. Must download for Kairosoft fans

Waste of time. Long wait times for your mechanics to repair your cars, gotta wait for fuel and nitro. Of course, you can bypass all the waiting by just giving Kairosoft your credit card, but who would! This game is painful! I think I do about two races every 4hrs. I agree if you want to play this sort of game. Get GP Story 1.

Great free to play. Solid FTP game from Kairosoft. Way more casual than their other games so don’t expect a whole lot of time invested to figure out the best combos, still very entertaining.

Sad direction. I hadn’t seen your new releases but I have played and bought quiet a few of your older games. So coming back to see you had released many more I was super excited. That excitement was immediately crushed when I realised you’ve gone down the miro transaction path. Very disappointed.

Kairo car gets worse with upgrade. Why does the kairo car get significantly worse when the durability gets upgraded? It's impossible to know until it's too late!

Grand Prix 2 is OK game. Game seriously outdated replacement would be fine in player controlled carts instead of freaking AI no fence but the AI kind of sucks for this game and is not even legal for any kind of racing should penalized or eliminated from race

Truly amazing experience. Awesome game to play and you can base real business and life off of different factors in the game. It also has the best graphics I’ve seen for this type of game on any console, and a level of difficulty which is realistic and has had me playing for 27 days straight to level 54

Love it, but the update won’t let me play. I love this game, but after updating it recently, the app keeps telling me to update the game and sends me back to the App Store. After doing so, I check on the game and it’s just a black screen which is frustrating.

Some Pacing Issues But Good. If you take this casually and whenever you have a few mins to burn, it works. If you want to play this for half an hour, you'll run out of things to do quickly. There's Durability for each car which slows down how many races you can go into at a time. There's fuel and Nos as well. Overall, it's deeper than GDS, but with that, it's also way more sluggish. For a free game, it's definitely worth checking out.

Fun game!. Great little sim game! I love the art style. It’s fun building up your racing complex and training your team to watch them preform well in races. Keep it up Kairosoft!

Freemium at its worst.. I’m only a few days into the game and already now having to wait several days for upgrades to complete. Don’t they realize America’s attention span is smaller than quantum mechanics? Just in the time having to wait for stuff I’ve quit Kairosoft and found other things to play, But hey... great marketing team you’ve guys got there.

They are money hungry now !. Literally they ruined the game. They have added an in game currency to buy and now have ads as well but no way to get them off the screen though you spend money on the game. Made me really sad as this is my favorite developer before.

Interesting. This is a very interesting game. I've been a huge fan of GP story since original. This one has more fun replayability and doesn't feel impossible like the other titles.

Too much p2w element. I used to like Kairosoft until they pump out all these pay to win games. I don't mind paying for the games because most of the games are fun, but you want me to pay for raffles/gambling on items ? No thanks.

GP 2. Very fun game, little grindy at times, but like most Kairosoft games, it’s quite addictive and keeps you coming back for more

Fun times - game is broken. Long time kairosoft fan. Great game once you get settled. Game will not load. Get a message in game saying it’s updated. If you delete these games you will lose all save data and anything you purchased. I have spent over 100 and vested close to 3+ months building on my teams. Very sad that I am facing losing everything Please fix!!

Good game. A nice change of pace to get my kairosoft fix with a slight difference with the real time aspect.

Not as good as the original. It has many additions and adaptions to make it suitable for online; So many that it hardly should be called a sequel. It’s a decent game, but just doesn’t have the same competitive feel as the original.

I like it but..... The grind is extremely long. No way to get past D level cars without spending +$20 or more. come on Karisoft, make more cars available without robbing us.

Grand Prix Story 2 experience!. Absolutely love this game. I get to enjoy building cars from scratch and racing them on interesting courses.

Great Fun!. Feels like I’m playing an old Gameboy game in the best way. And best of all it’s free! Premium currency is very easy to come by and not needed to be competitive in the game. Great fun, cute and plenty to do

Nostalgic. It's been awhile since I last played the first one. Huge difference compared to the original. Ads are distracting and though.

Good but not great. The in-app cost is too high imo and the wait times without iap can be frustrating which prevents a higher score. If they offered a single free premium ticket periodically like skyfighter United, it would make the medal costs palpable.

Fantastic Kairosoft Title. I love it as much as the first! Plus it includes many more features on top of the original!

Game breaking issues. Ive played the game for a while now, I logged in recently and lost progress - lost all the bananas I had collected are gone. They are limited and hard to collect so you cant get more of them that easily. I tried searching in game for help or support, but it just redirects you to a broken address.

Good if.... The gam is great and has huge unique details however the raffle system would be better if it wasn’t medal based and you could use tickets awarded for ranking up or winning gps. Overall good

2 Days still can't play. Game is ok, it's not their best effort but we can only blame ourselves (consumers) for this f2p mod that's being shoved down our throats. Yesterday I tried to play. Received "updating app" message. Click ok and the App Store launches to the game page. Many people on Reddit are reporting the same issue, iOS users can't play. So much for my login streak.

Great game. Great game. I love the pacing of it, I’ve played the first one 10+ times through and it’s a breeze now. This one forces you to use others cars and us lots of fun.

Ruined.. Hey Kairosoft made ads and pay to win mechanics that has a racing game in it. I’m giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because at least the essence of the game still exists. Also it wiped my game data at one point. Terrible.
