Great app. I've looked at and have other ear training apps but use this one the most because it allows you to train and retry. It also picks up your instrument. So you can train with what you are playing. Great for learning to play by ear. I'm not too crazy about the graphics, but hey, that's just me.

The best ear training app so far. I used to say that I would never spend more than 10 bucks with an app, but after trying the lite version I had to get this one. I love it, good job.

Badly designed. I wish the app was better designed. So many little things are problematic. Seriously you guys are using pops? That really kills the flow of the training. One thing is pretty annoying eg. in the pitch trainer is when you get s pitch wrong, it doesn't replay the original pitch..so I forget what it was! So lame.

Great app. Really nice eartraining app, best I've used on iPad. If they add harmonic and rhythmic dictation, it will be perfect.

Very good. Not perfect but it almost has everything you will need for training . The microphone icon is a bit annoying though. And I hope it can play the "do" at the beginning of a melody test so that I can practice melodic dictation for different modes .

Great App. An all-around great music application. Tons of exercises and a nice piano layout to use when competing listening drills. A guitar fretboard layout (similar to that of the piano) would be a great addition as a learning tool. Overall, very well done.

Well worth the price. If you guys add a harmonic dictation (see the ch!ear app) and rhythmic dictation mode (see the read rhythm app) this will be the best music trainer of all time. Its already the best melodic and interval trainer on itunes. An option to visually use a guitar neck instead of a piano would be great (but still the nice piano sounds).

Great Ear Training App!. Very thorough and useful.

Good for your ears!. ~Train with the microphone turned on to go through the melodies without touching your iOS device. ~Train with the microphone turned off if you are away from your instrument. ~Customize the melodies and intervals.

This training is challenging! But it is the way to get your ears tuned. I read sheet music, but I also pick up tunes by hearing, I thought I had good ears so I thought this training would be easy. Well, I was wrong, I'm not that great at hearing...But that is exactly the point, to get you to find out where you are in need of improvement. In that respect it is doing its job well. The interface is nice and simple and the lessons a separated by difficulty so it lets you get ready for the next level. All in all a very interesting app and I hope my ears get better with it.

wonderful dictation app. this app does a great job leading you up to dictation. the sound samples are good and it has a dazzling array of wonderful features like the piano controller for answering interval questions. the only thing that could be improved is the interface - enlarging the replay button and some other adjustments would be icing on the cake. overall this is the best melodic ear trainer on the app store by far.

Good program. I use this program nearly every day. It's the best I've found of its type so far. If it also included chord recognition, I'd give it five stars.

My Own Instrument!?!?. To be able to use my own instrument...and a bass guitar at that...makes this a 5 star to me personally easily.

Does not work with latest update. I have really enjoyed this app. But it has not been updated and I have not been able to use it for several months now. I wouldn’t risk buying it if you have the latest update.

Good app. I really like this app, it has helped me to learn absolute pitch when no other app really does, and I have actually made progress. One downside that all users of this all should know- it doesn't play through headphones! If they are plugged in, app plays through external speakers anyway. 👎

Awesome. I play violin and this app has been a great acquisition since you need a good ear to play violin. It has really helped me improve amazingly. Really recommend it.

Good for intervals. This is great training program that allows lots of variety on how you want to set up your lessons. However, it's only good for intervals and melodic dictation. It would be five stars if it also had harmonic and chord training lessons.

Phenomenal App!. Go no further. This is a wonderful app giving the user a great deal of control. I use it a lot, and keep discovering more features.

Perrrrfect app. I am self learning the guitar and am almost tone deaf. This is a perfect app for learning to listen by ear no matter what instrument you play.

A pocket music teacher. You need good teachers when learning to play an instrument, this is one of them. Intervals and simple melodies were coming to me within minutes, finally a musical ear :) The mic feature makes this app now a part of my daily piano and guitar practice routine. ++

Excellent. Works as advertised - very useful for ear training. Perhaps could be made more clear how stats are calculated, but doesn't really detract from product. Well worth it.

Best Ear Training App. I have been using Ear Trainer for a while but was becoming frustrated with the fixed lesson format. It would not let me configure the intervals I needed practice on. This app lets me configure everything! The other big item I was looking for was melody playback. This app plays a melody then lets you repeat it on an instrument of your choice. It listens through the mike and shows you what you played. This is the next best thing to having a teacher work with you. A unique feature is the ability to add notes before or after an interval. This makes identification harder than you might think. It is a great building block for melody playback. You can also play the second note in the interval on your instrument or an onscreen keyboard. This really helps me to find the correct range on my piano. If you are using an instrument with a smaller range, you can set it to accept the answer in any range. This has everything I need to work on all aspects of my ear training. I love it! I hope they use the ability to hear the instrument to make a sight reading trainer as well!

Can't choose perfect pitch. I'll buy the app if am able to choose how many range and note I want to practice for the pitch exercises, just like in the relative exercises
