Amazing App!. This is a great app! I am getting some amazing results that I will be using on Tshirts soon! I only gave 4 stars because it doesn't export a .png file. It will be perfect if that is ever added. Well worth the time, effort and purchase price!

First Photo App I Enjoy The Most. I rarely use my iPhone 6 + for photos typically defaulting to my DSLR. Yet this photo app is so creative and cool it has actually made me use my camera phone more just to work on my images with Tangled FX. I love the artistic creations and super easy to use.

Great App-love it. I have seen many photos on Instagram using this app. I love it. It will give you many, many different effects. Then, if you want, you can fine tune each effect.

Yeah get this one. I've gone through many photo apps, but this one always stays on my iOS devices. I've also yet to come across an app that can do what Tangled FX does. If you like to play around with photos on your iPhone, this one's a no brainer.

Really Creative Photo Effects !. This is great! The basis is one of the effects in Superphoto, but way way more with both subtle and dramatic embellishments. I love this app. Thanks over there at Tangle!!

Mesmerizing. When reality doesn't quite match what I see in my mind, Tangled FX can blur the details and strengthen the lines. It exposes the ley lines within an otherwise dull photo to mere mortals like us.

Pretty Neat. I've noticed better results from pictures that have a lot of hairs/blades of grass/branches/grains/patternsetc. A tutorial would be nice, but not necessary. It's easy to use, but some of the advanced settings are difficult to understand right away. Worth every penny.

🗣 Artistic. Just downloaded the app and so excited to know I can edit with these variation of special effects. I've been searching for something like this for a long time, thank you for creating it. Does everything it states it does flawlessly!

Totally awesome!. This application is one of my favorite on my iPad. I love the ease of use and I love the effects and my ability to adjust them. About the only thing that I wish it had was ability to mask area so that not all the effects cover the entire picture. It would also be nice to be able to have a slightly faster way of saving. This is definitely part of my top photo effects tools!

Ensnared by Tangled!. I have loads of photo apps on my iPhone, this one does not try to be a jack of all trades, it does one type of effect perfectly. I've never seen any effect like this, and the app enables you to apply it in a variety of ways, and tweak each of them either in a basic mode or the advanced mode with several more factors to fine tune. It is easy as can be to use, yet with enough depth that one could experiment with it for months (years?) to get precise images just the way they want them. So, whether you just want to apply a cool preset filter and be done, go in a bit more and fine tune various settings (all of them or just the basic set), or start making and saving your own custom settings and using the app to make something that feels your own, this app is terrific. I've been exploring it for a couple of days, and just realized I can apply filters over photos I've already filtered through Tangled, getting some really nifty looking stuff. I'm just goofing around mostly, but sometimes I realize an hour or two have gone by, this app is such a joy to use. I agree with others, the only thing I can think of to make this app better is a mask or other way to apply the effects to only certain parts of a photo. It'd be nice, but I'm fine without it.

Love this app!!. Hope it doesn't fade away. I know it hasn't been updated in a long time, but it's great and I haven't found anything like it.

Really Cool Effects and Works with IOS 11.3. Really interesting effects, works with large photos, doesn’t crash, isn’t expensive, lots of control of each effect, save custom setting with names, what more could you ask! I love it!

Easiest and coolest.... By far the most epic app for how easy it is to take a quality capture and turn it with a tap into something mind bogglingly cool! Awesome work!

Average App. I don’t understand where ALL the great reviews come from. This is a very average app. It’s overrated! Not worth $2.99. There are much BETTER ones that does way more than this one. And they’re FREE! But...if you want an average app that distorts only, then this one’s for you! But again I say, it’s not worth $2.99!! Refund please..

Love it!. If you're looking for a different kind of edit for your photos, this is the app for you. The app is easy to use with endless possibilities to be different.

Recent user - great app!. Recently started taking more photos with my iPhone and Tangled FX was suggested online. Have an app Shock My Pix on my MacBook and this takes that idea and runs with it. I am learning the adjustments and am applying them to existing photos. I also take some photos using the filters. One feature I would like is cropping or a move and adjust choice before using a filter.

A Lot of Fun. This app is a lot of fun, is simple to use, and offers some great effects. I particularly like “swirl” and “cartoon.” Some of the effects are way over the top but I assume they work with certain photos. I highly recommend.

Great!. I was slightly impressed with this app until I discovered the bar that lets you tone down the effect. IMHO a little effect goes a long way for most photos. Now I'm totally hooked!

Probably one of the most underrated photo effects app in the App Store!. This app creates probably one of the most amazing and beautiful affects of any app in the App Store. Why there are not hundreds of thousands of reviews I don’t know. Easily has to be THE most underrated professional effects app in the Apple App Store. And I have just about them all. I create effects that I have sold professionally. Even without a gigantic time investment, even a child can create amazing professional effects that amaze. I personally recommend this at any price!

Terrific. A friend on Flickr used this app. The effects were compelling. He was kind enough to tell me about it. Wow. From the first touch, the app responded perfectly. No guessing. The multitude of choices is amazing. I do abstract art with my photos. A whole new world of possibilities has opened.

Just amazing. My only wish would be a plugin version plus the horsepower (desktop with CUDA cores) to do these effects to video files???? A man can dream.

Nifty Effects. The key to getting the most out of this app is learning the properties of the settings. The default presets are on the heavy-handed side to showcase the possibilities, but subtle effects can be created too. Using Tangled on images created with other apps can produce some especially pleasing and unexpected results.

Killer app!. Simple yet effective! Sometimes it's okay to have a consistent type of output from an app when it yields such a pleasant result. Although the filters effects can be subtle on the low end and really extreme when set to higher levels, the output is warm and creamy and has a beautiful render quality, especially at the higher pixel settings. Was worth what I paid for it... Fun app.

A great art/photo app, much appreciated!. This is a really useful app, especially if you get down into the fine tuning.

Buy Now!. This app is so different and useful! You have so many different varieties for what you want your item to look like! I use this in all of my editing photos. And the skin is sooo beautiful. TangledFX. I love this app! I have not mastered it, but love working with the various editing styles. I only wish there were a way to stop it mid-way sometimes when the edits are happening. It is fun to use and love seeing how people use it successfully.

Very Unique. Really cool app! Fun to take random images (like paintings by famous artists), apply an effect, save to camera roll, then zoom in and crop to capture a section of abstract goodness.

Tangled fx!. Great fun! Takes your photos and photos of personal art work and raises all kinds of possibilities ! Gives a whole new perspective on creating images with my I phone!

Love this!. I am loving this so much. It’s fun to use it and play with it. The only thing I would love even more is if I could use it on my Mac! And also Don Coyote’s idea of a way to apply to selected parts of photos. I would definitely buy again and pay more for both!

Just bought the app.... I take a lot of macro pics, specifically of flowers, and I'm really enjoying looking at my images in a new way.

Really different ,. This app is very similar to one I paid a lot more for that works in Photoshop. It is my favorite filter there and now on my IPad. I now have the ability to apply it to my photographs on my IPad . I recommend it to anyone to add its effect to their photos or artworks. I Think I good extension for this would be a masking feature so some parts of the image could have the effect and others not. Otherwise a great filter!

Beautiful. Produces beautiful and original work when combined with the right photos and a good eye. It's nice to have a preview and a "real" size option. Love this app.

Creative Sunshine. What a fun app! I found that I really love 3 or 4 of the effects. Some of the effects look best on simple photos. Other effects were more effective on photos, that were more detailed. I also like how the black and white choice, creates lots of texture! I look forward to printing some of my pics, which were edited with Tangled FX.

One of my favorite 'effects' apps.... This new version has made an amazing app even better. From light and airy to dark and brooding, Tangled does incredible things to pictures. I can't remember how much I paid for it, but I'd buy it again.

Technology and HD has came a long way.... This App is Amazing... by far the best I've had since years ago I had an app called picture effects pro that had close to 100 fx effects and could mix them together for endless results... this App comes right up along side with it! I Love It!

A unique app that does unique things.. Tangled FX does something unlike any other photo editing app. And you can tweak the ish out of things with tons of settings. Put an image through Tangled FX on its own and you can get some cool effects. Layer with the original image or other copies edited other ways, and things get even Cooler. Tangled FX won't make every image work, but I tend to run anything interesting through the app just in case it really works. I've spend hundreds on photo apps and have deleted all but a few. Tangled FX is one I'll never be without.

Really loving it.. Started off looking gimmicky but with a bit of play is now addictive. I am using it nearly every pic. UPDATE: It is now 2 years I've been using this app for almost every pic. Another personal update: It must be close to 6 years that I am applying a bit of “Tangle” to 99% of my final output!

One of my favorite all time apps!. Spectacular fx - and unique. Easy to use - AND if you become brave enough, there is no limit to the permutations you can create using the myriad adjustments opened by the three lines on the bottom right. A go to app.. There are a lot of photo apps in the App Store. This one is different. This allows you to add a bit of texture in a different manner and other programs. It helps make the pictures pop and adds that all-important bit of depth. I've used it since the very first version and it is one of my favorites

Easy to create beautifully different pix. I've toyed with TangledFX for about an hour and am totally loving it. Distinct and different effects than any of the hundreds(?) of other filter apps.

Love your work. I saw this effect a few years ago but at the time it was Windows only. Now it's available for iOS! This can make you images look haunting, otherworldly. Warning: some of these effects, when applied to faces can make them look like a decaying zombie. Minor criticism is that it's hard to figure out how the advanced effects sliders will change the image. BUY IT

User-friendly, interesting effects and a good variety. Nice addition to the effects toolkit. Very user-friendly (actually explains how it works rather than expecting users to guess) and high quality output. I've had some happy surprises running artwork through some of its (many) variations. Some of the effects seem to me to have been inspired by postmortems, 80's space aliens movies and/or high school biology class. Personally, I prefer the more subtle effects -- and there are several that I really like. Nice work providing something for everyone.

Poor imitation of Glaze.. I am not associated with Glaze or their developers but I am a big fan of their app. Given that I am always on the look out for apps that create effects, I thought this was going to be interesting. Only the "small details" preset appeals to me so far other than that, I find the app slower than Glaze as well.

Hmm... I don't see how it's so amazing. It's just the same effect with different strokes and strengths. Is it worth the money, meh not really in my opinion. So many better photo apps out there. And to get that effect you need hi res picture which you can't take with the iPhone anyway. So not worth it.

What an app. Absolutely love this app and so much fun. I do wish that you could have layers with blending options such as Multiply and Screen. Fantastic.

Awesome. To all photo post-processing fans, you must have this. Get into working the individual parameters, and you can achieve the most amazing effects, ranging from still photo-realistic but intriguingly modified, to full-on neon-style to Monet-style post-processing. Wow.

Brilliant. I'm a graphic designer and Photoshop is my left hand. I love that this app offers up some great original effects that I can use to get really creative with. That aside, it's a whole lot of fun and works well on most subjects. Not too crazy about what it does to people, but that is my only criticism.

Lots of fun!. I'm really loving Tangled FX. I find myself taking lots of photos of my pets because they just look so cool after I apply Tangled FX to the photos. Great app, worth the purchase!

Crap. You select various filters and you can’t deselect them. Nothing intuitive about this app. Does not appear to have an undo button. Hitting the ‘original’ button brings back the original, but again leaves the filters preselected. So soon as you select another filter, they are ALL re-applied. I’m sure there must be a simple trick too it, but I’m lost, and I use a lot of apps, all the time checking out what is new.

My favorite photo effects app. Highly recommend this app, creates very unique effects. Different effects work better depending on the original image so it is fun trying all of them on each picture. There is also an option to tweak the image manually, a must since the default settings are not always the best, depending on the picture, also fun playing with this for anyone adventurous to see what can happen. One thing I would like to see is the use of masks to only apply the effects to parts of the image.

Marvellous addition to tool kit. I'd give it 5 stars for an iPad, 4 for an iPhone. The great feature of the app is that you have control over a wide array of adjustments. On the iPad, you can immediately see the effect; the smaller screen of an iPhone means jumping back and forth. But the presets are quite good, and it is worth getting to know each of them.

Great artistic photo app!. It's really amazing how one can be creative with this app. The Fine Tune features are endless. I like to echo what was said by another reviewer, that I like to save the image at a certain stage of processing. Very often it looks best at 80%, before the image snaps to full color or final look. Also, one would wish it were possible to see the changes live as one drags the sliders, without hitting the render button each time. But maybe this isn't possible because of processing power of the iPad. That's why an outstanding app like this should be available as an Aperture or PS plugin. I'd pay a lot more for this as a plugin.

Continues to be Excellent. I've really enjoyed this app. I like how you can save styles/settings. It has enhanced my artwork. Just remember if you get a new phone to download custom settings to new phone.

Great app!. I've been waiting for this app to come to iPad. My only wish is if it gave you the option of opacity. It would be fabulous to be able to see a hint of the original picture come through under the effect.

Love it. I just started to use this app and really love it.. I would like to see an option to do just a part of the pic.. Like on a person not tangled the whole pic but do only the hair or do only the skirt.. I don't know if that's would be possible in the future .. Thank you

There's a NEW ToP DAwG!!!!. With an astonishing leap in photo manipulation over every and all of the some 350 or different apps I've loaded n deleted, this is one that I will use for ever. I only have one bug or flaw that I would like to see corrected or added. I was watching it process my photo ( An Amazing feature ), at a certain point I stopped it by touching the X in the upper left. This is where my heart sank from disappointment, I was unable to save the photo after stopping the process. Please PLEASE try and see if there's a way to allow us to save the photo at this point. Otherwise it's an unbelievable app, it is the #1 photo APP Ever as far I'm concerned.

Loving the app, with a suggestion. This app is really effective & fun! However, could you increase the size of the style selections menu at the bottom? I can barely read it even on ipad pro. The finetuning menu is fine, it’s just that basic menu. Thanks!

Wonderful!. This is a really, really cool app and it's a lot of fun to explore new ways to be creative with photos. The quality of the render is quite high, and the effects are all striking. Suggestion: sometimes when a photo is rendering, let's say at 70%, it may look awesome. Getting to 100% becomes a let-down. Is there a way to dial back in the "intensity" of the overall effect after a full render, or simply hit "stop rendering" to be left with what we see and want? Thank you :)

MUST have for serious Editors. This App is BRILLIANT!!! it plays a MAJOR role in the edits I make,I've only been editing for about 4 months,and didn't truly understand the capabilities of this app till recently,an THANK GOD a fellow editor told me,cause it's taken my edits to a whole new level that I wasn't using this app before for,so GO GET IT NOW!!!!!

Undo?. This is good idea but without an “UNDO” feature pretty much makes it worthless.
