What is hohner cajun squeezebox app? Exactly matching the layout of Hohner's new Cajun IV diatonic accordion, this intuitive virtual accordion app feature a super responsive, one-row fingerboard that plays and sounds like the traditional instrument.
This virtual accordion plays in the most common key for Cajun music of C as well as in A, Bb, D, and G for those playing Zydeco or other styles of music.
Both the treble and bass/chord sides of the instrument are provided.
The Hohner Cajun SqueezeBox allows musicians to practice chord combinations, scales, and songs on-the-go. Headphones can be used for private practice, or the audio output of the virtual accordion can be amplified by plugging into computer speakers, or other sound enhancing devices.
With the touch of a button, the tonality can be changed from a "Dry" three-reeds-per-note (LMH) sound to a "Wet" four-reeds-per-note (LMMH) sound.
To play, simply touch the buttons. This type of accordion plays different notes on the push or pull of the bellows. To switch between bellows push and pull, just touch anywhere in bellows or bass side. Touch to switch to push notes, lift to switch to pull notes.
When playing the bass-side buttons, you can touch between the buttons to operate the bellows.
Since you may want to play chords and melody with more than 4 fingers on the screen at a time, you must disable "Multitasking Gestures" in the iPad Settings. Run the Settings app, go to "General / Multitasking Gestures" and turn them off.
Touch the '?' icon to show the note names for each button. Note names shown are based on the C tuning.
Touch the 'i' icon to show the instructions page.
This app is ideal for the beginning student or professional musician who needs a simple carry-on companion to compliment his or her actual accordion. While not meant to be a replacement for a real accordion, the app is a convenient and easy tool for practicing, learning, or teaching.

D row. Please bring back the combo D/C single row. That is the one I paid for, but I ended up with this one.
Alright. It's alright, but you can't get it wet tuned,it stays on dry. Other than that it is a good squeezebox.
Accordion. I was amazed at the quality of the sound for this instrument. I couldn't believe my eyes and ears when I saw my son playing this app! This is awesome!!!!
Just the perfect app for practicing for the next Mardi Gras. When I purchased this accordion app over 2 years I was skeptical of its functionality at first, until I tried it with a pair of headphones on &, to my amazement, it sounded much better than I imagined, thanks partly to the fact that when I play it, it sounds just like a real Cajun squeezebox played by the natives out in southwest Louisiana Congratulations & as they say down there, Let The Good Times Roll!!!

No sound??. I loaded the app but have no sound. Yes, I adjusted the volume slider.

Bout as good as it could be!. Steve Riley told me about this one. Hilarious! I couldn't see myself playing a gig on it, but it works and is laid out just like a Cajun accordion. I could see someone actually learning to play it well and perform a whole song on it. I would love to see someone tear up a song on this app. Sounds like a real accordion and you can even make the reeds wet-tuned! There really is "an app for everything!"
Doesn't sound like a real Cajun/Zydeco Accordion. Doesn't have the full sound of a real 4-reed accordion. Sounds like only the two middle reeds are open. Sounds more like a Hohner 2-reed, triple row. Otherwise, it's OK.

Gorgeous sound...one request though.... I loved this as the Zydecordeon and still do in it's new guise, however I was just learning to play the earlier version and this new layout has set me back to square one! I love it but is there a chance of having the older layout as an optional 'skin' in future please?
