Everywhere I go I have a reason to pull out my phone and look up. Pretty cool to learn when it’s not a great day to look at stars, but when you are in a place where you can see it all...it’s amazing to use, too. Would recommend the premium purchase too
I got 4 people to download this app mine is the only one that doesn’t work. I’d love my money back since I go the paid version! But good luck getting in touch with anyone
Even though the saved location is correct, South is West and I have to manually guesstimate the direction each time.
Paid and downloaded this and am really disappointed. Anywhere - literally *anywhere* - I point my phone camera, the app shows me a constellation as if it’s some big revelation...even when pointing at the wall, the patio, and twinkle lights in my backyard. Had no idea there were constellations on my patio. Bogus app, total waste of money.
It does nothing. I point at the sky and does not give information of where I’m pointing. It doesn’t seem to recognize that I’m moving. Very frustrating. I know I pay only $2 but I feel cheated.
Very nice it’s really cool but I wish that you could make you own thing with the stars so there can see it it would be cool love this app
I’ve always been interested in learning about space and this app is wild! I’m getting a telescope now that I have a great guide to tell me what I’m looking at. Hours of fun; I highly recommend!
We used SkyView on our Cape Cod vacation and loved it. It helped us confirm our sightings and even let us see the space station. It is easy to use and not intrusive. Download this for your vacation!
The best sky viewing app I've used... Awesome to use with my kids and it's really easy to use and understand
Image is frozen.
This app is amazing because it shows different constilations and planet, space junk, and even satellites
Have used this app many times over the last few years and have been very pleased with it. But I loaded it on my iPhone 7 and now the planets are not in the right places. It’s not very useful if everything is off. Perhaps there’s away I can recalibrate it. Disappointed. 😕
Well worth upgrading to the paid version of this app. So many more brilliant features and preference settings. I use it purely for tracking satellites and find it much better than the Satellites app. Love it! 🛸🚀🔭
iPhone X Support would be fantastic to leverage the whole screen. Thanks
This is without a doubt, the most extraordinary app I have ever downloaded. It's freakin' awesome.
I have no idea about the Northern hemisphere, but to call the Southern Cross "crux, one of 88 modern constellations", leaving out so much, seems less than informative. No Big Kangaroo, no Emu, both of which are popularised and real aboriginal constellations, also seems a bit northern-hemisphere-centric, if not blatantly racist. Someone might want to do some southern hemisphere night sky research. The space debris stuff is good though, nice to get an idea of what is man-made up there.
I didn’t enjoy it
Seems to work sometimes (and is great), but screen is inexplicably frozen other times. Not up there with the better star gazing apps.
Love this app. I’ve always enjoyed catching a satellite or two zip over the night sky, but this database is astounding. I also can’t believe all the space trash that is out there. Amazing that it is all tracked and named. The planet ID is terrific. Love the trajectory feature and music as well.
Enjoying the app but can’t get the Today widget. Have sent several messages to the developer but never a response. Frustrated with it. Otherwise a great app.
I really enjoy this App, I have shown my children this View, now all three have it in there iPhones. It’s great when we’re at a BBQ, we sit by the fire and talk about the Sky View sky. Thanks, The Oppies
I’ve had it the app for a while but the calibration is terrible. Doesn’t work half the time.
I just looked at the moon and it’s not close to the position this app had. Is anything right?
So, my family absolutely LOVES this app. Since My husband & I are as equally excited about star-gazing as our kids, we find the app comes in handy. It’s useful because it allows for entertainment purposes, learning abilities, as well as just answering a family member’s question, “What is that star called & is it a planet???” So we will never rid ourselves of this app unless they start charging crazy amounts of money, or really any money at all if I were being honest. I’d drop it like a hot potato if that happens, and it hasn’t yet. Now for the flaw....I may just not being using the App correctly, but I seriously doubt that because I’m great with computers of all types. I truly think it’s because the app is lacking information on important objects and/or subject matter. Case and point....there is an asteroid that is so close to earth that you can see it with the naked eye. I don’t have copious amounts of gear—or money to buy it—to really find it in the night sky by myself. So I ran and got my phone to open the app, all the while hoping I’d find and see it instantly. I also wanted to show my husband & the kids this asteroid we’ve been hearing about. It’s a named asteroid, and it should be in the directory/search engine so that people can find it. It does not show up at all, whether it’s a name or picture. Asteroids aren’t the only things absent. Comets, meteor showers, etc, are also missing. This doesn’t help me much because the asteroid will be gone before we can find it ourselves. So, PLEASE add these viewing options, as well as any I’ve missed. This will allow your audience to get the whole experience that is intended with this app. All together, and after the add-on’s, this app will be the best out there. Until then, we will still love and use the SkyView, BUT we will be waiting with all fingers & toes crossed that they hurry and get to updating the program. The sky will be the limit—pun intended— after those features are added to SkyView. Thanks for an amazing experience!!!😍
I love this app. Try using it at night by the sea, it is lovely and romantic.
I don’t know if I’m an amateur astronomer or what you would call it I am just fascinated with the wonders of the night sky. I heard about this app on a field trip with my daughters school and thought why not give it a try? Amazing and mind blowing are the first two words that come to mind. If you love to learn new things and have even a small interest in what goes on over our head as the world turns then definitely download this app(you will most certainly appreciate it ) and hold your phone up high to take a look at the night sky it is not falling it’s always there and anyone can see it from any where AMAZING
What great way to see the heavens all mapped out what He has done. The placements of the stars and the planets, who ever knew that these are arranged in a way that we can all admire. For the developer who designed it, that we can all use to look up and see where all are, thanks for making it possible for us. Absolutely no problem using the technology we can all share.
I find stargazing very interesting and this app is perfect.
Very nice I love the all
Love this app. Just brought a telescope and this app is just perfect for those just starting to learn about our amazing universe
Brilliant app! Cleverly designed app and the augmented reality is a big bonus for using this app.
This App is possible the best I've ever downloaded. Un-put-downable, and with well-designed interface. I intend to use it for planning Astro photographic projects.
Great app for star gazing and for wondering what out their.
Brilliant I'm Learnng a lot from this cool little App
Extremely detailed and informal, worth the buy. Shows not only planets but space junk such as spent rocket boosters and satellites.
Great for anyone with the slightest interest in all things beyond the realms of Earth! Big thumbs up!
This is a great app if you like exploring the night sky just have your location services on when using it 5*
Hi plz note that the app is not moving it s only stuck in current view even if you search an object it doesn’t take you there...plz advise if its malfunction or my settings are not activated
Absolutely fantastic! Thank you
Best app for this, there are no words to describe it download it and check it out
Certainly one of the best apps I've ever downloaded on my phone. If you like learning and you are fascinated by our universe this is a MUST!!!
It's an Amazing app but I need to calibrate it every 10 seconds. Very frustrating. Please update.
It's hard these days to find an app that does what it says it does. Well done on this one
Buy it! I'm having the time of my life here. Even if you're only a little interested in staring at stars, this app is worth it... Bare Minimum - It'll change your conversation around night barbecues, to always having a fall back conversation starter on your phone. The kids and wife love it too and have downloaded it.
I absolutely love this app. Please add a VR feature for Google cardboard and other virtual reality headsets.
