Not bad for the price. This app holds a great deal of promise if the library collection keeps expanding and the routines are generalized to electrical engineering. For example a transformer section would be nice. Power factor, kvar, kva and kw calculations lend themselves to this sort of thing if the load can be adjusted as well as the factors. My only negative comment is about the interface. It is a mess. The backgrounds detract from the calculations and the notes look pasted on. Try and keep the controls in the same region on each worksheet and put notes in a separate region. The elementary drawings with results should have the focus which implies the middle area. The focus needs the brightest background. The other regions could be left/right or top/bottom. These are just my thoughts on the interface but in general I applaud the effort so far.

Superior in all the best ways. Wow! This was my Go-To app before, and now it is better on all levels. Huge work done, and is clear, easy to navigate, and heaps of functions. Plus looks great! Thanks for the upgrade!!!!

Ee toolkit and eetoolkit Pro on iPad. No option to go back to menu page to change selection? Once I select resistors for example I am not able to go back and select capacitors or any other option. Only way to break out to start page is power cycle the iPad? This problem is obviously some sort of screwup and needs to be fixed!

Exactly the same as Electronic Toolbox Pro universal. I paid for this app because I already had Electronic Toolbox Pro universal on my iPhone and iPad, and it is so useful. I would give it five stars. I thought an app for the iPad would be different, and optimized for the iPad, but it is exactly the same. I asked the developer if there were any differences, but a week has passed and I have received no response. I don’t mind paying for useful apps, but resent having to pay for one, just to find that it is exactly the same as one I already paid for and not get an answer from the developer. There is one difference. The color of the icon is green instead of red.

Might be the best outhere.. App is slick, relatively intuitive, quite comprehensive, and educational. I am a BSEE, but I am a dinosaur. My last vector calculus equation was solved awhile ago. This puppy has reignited some old neurons in several areas. My one comment is some basic vacuum tube amplifier stuff is still relevant for high power devices. Field and waves (gasp!) ?

Really nice idea but needs work.. I love the idea of having a calculator like this for day-to-day quick circuit calcs. However, I think the UI needs some tweaks in future updates. I would type a number in and the app would change the value and or the units when I highlighted another field. Very frustrating. Hopefully future updates will improve the UI and make this the very useful tool it could be.

So farlooks good and worth the price to have so many functions in one app without ads!. One thing you could add is wiring for a On On On switch. These are common in both guitar and amplifier design, especially where off might have negative effects! Otherwise, this looks like a very useful app!

This app is so good. Invaluable resource for diy-ers. This app gets better every year. Everything is in one place. Very logical. Incredible reference for electrical engineers or DIYers. Extremely good value as well.

Informative and accurate calculator. This app has really helped my study circuit components that I haven't had much exposure to while also serving as a tool for calculating component values in circuits I use all the time. I wish there was a category for transformers, inductors, and electromagnetism though. It would also be cool if they included audio applications of the 555 timer. Overall my favorite circuit calculating app I've found so far.

What's the diff between the Red Pro and the Green Pro??. The toolkit seems like a good reference. I have an iPad and an iPhone. I bought a version specifically for my iPad and can't tell what's the difference between the in-app-purchased Red Pro and purchased Green Pro that's supposedly specifically designed for an iPad?!

Good resource, weak design. A real good resource for all tinkerer. The design however needs a lot of work. Useful but not pretty

Good App. This is the most thorough engineering calculator app that I have seen. Overall a very good value for the money.

Buy this App - Been using it for 2 years. I use this for work on Audio systems, frequency response, tone generation, filter analysis, RF measurements along with my HP RF Service monitor, antenna analyzer, etc. I originally got the free version within-app ability to unlock features. That worked fine until I got a new iPad, same account etc. I just purchased this Pro version, it doesn't require restoring options. For the price, and features, this is a "Must Have" program for those who use or are interested in Audio and RF analysis and design. Strongly recommend this APP !!

Best app for 8 years. I bought his app over 8 years ago and use it almost daily. Tons of great info and continual updates.

Great update. The app was very useful before the update and it is even better now. The new look is a welcome treat. I wish I had this when I was going to college.

Great Tool for Electronic Geeks!. As an Electrical Engineer and a hobbyist I highly recommend this set of tools! From op amps to resistor color codes and everything in-between you are certain to find the right tool to keep your project moving forward.

Awesome overall performace. This great app has quite a few components that work almost all of the time. There are a few bugs that make some circuits not function properly. I would like it if at least some 4000 series ICs were added. They can be hard to re-create without the IC present in the component bin.

EE Toolkit - Best App Ever. This program is why I own an iPad. Having EE Toolkit on my bench has helped me become more productive and creative with electronic design work. The time and effort it must have required to build an app of this nature is truly amazing. The best I've seen and used. I have several electronic info/calculator apps on my iPad, but this one is always my first choice as a reference. I am always amazed on the constant regular updates, and I only had to purchase the app once.

Another Useful Addition to the iPad Toolset. Great, easy to use tool for many basic EE design functions. It will get better as more features are added. Replaces a long collection of bookmarks from assorted on-line referencesa and calculators in one easy to use format.

Electronic engineering toolkit pro. Very good!

Used Daily in my Amplifier Design. If you need to know on the fly, you need this toolkit. It's a dense and excellent set. This isn't a toy. It's a professional must have. A very useful set of reference tools. Overall, this is a very useful set of EE references and utilities. The only suggested improvement I find is with the resistor divider tool, where it would be nice to set Vin and desired Vout and have it recommend possible resistor values to get closest to the goal.

Don't buy doesn't work. Terrible app one major flaw is when adjusting a capacitor it affects the Inductor circuit calculation. Whatever happened to the days when you could buy something and it would actually work.

Hobby. I enjoy working with electronics as a hobby and have found this app one of the best..

Super Useful. This is a very handy desktop reference for electrical/electronic design and development. There are many calculators, reference values, equations, and tutorials (I just used the Passive Cooling page, great! This is useful for the professional, student, and hobbyists.

AV guys check this out. This is a valuable tool for work, and handy for projects at home as well... Good stuff for AV techs.

Wish I had this 40 years ago. Dating myself, I got into aerospace engineering at the same time the HP45 hit the scene. Goodbye slide rule (I still have two in a desk drawer). As great as a scientific calculator was, this app would also have greatly enhanced my work w-a-y back then. I am mostly on to other things in my last life, but still frequently find myself needing electronics info. I bought this several years ago, before I had an iPad, not noticing one as necessary. NOW, I have an iPad, which I use for remote controlling digital audio consoles (among other things), so can finally make use of this app. I see that it is missing pin-outs for USB-C connectors, but expect that to be rectified soon. Keep up the good work.

Latest version makes this an exceptional tool. The EE Toolkit was always a very useful tool, but with the additions in the latest version it is truly an exceptional tool. The author is extremely diligent in managing bugs and improving the tool.

Very useful. Has all the reference tools i need, though it could benefit from a few more reference circuits (active filters, some more op-amp circuits, common switch mode power supply circuits, and a resistor ladder calculator to name a few). Otherwise a very useful resource.

Mr. The crossover cat5 cable wiring is wrong. In a crossover cable the blue and brown pairs do not change, only the green and orange swap over. Otherwise an excellant app, one that i will be refering to often when in the workshop. Well done and excellent layout. Easy to use.

Electronic Calculator. Just getting back into the hobby and this is just a fantastic reference to keep handy both with the iPod version and this IPAD version. Lots of useful info and the eye candy is pleasing. JD

Time saver!. I use this app on my iPhone for long time. Now - on iPad where screen is so much larger. Some info is missing between two types of this software, but it is a small thing which can be fix later. Thank you for such handy tool!

Buying it again, sight unseen.... I had an older version, lost after a "master reset" and I do not have any qualms about shelling out some more money for this very practical and well maintened product.

Great app and great developer. I have been using this app for a while, as a reference when I'm working on electronic hobby projects and also as a visual tool when I'm teaching my son the basics of electronics. It is great for both purposes. Don't get me wrong, I also read datasheets and research/read a lot on internet but it is very convenient to have this app on the iPad right on the bench for that quick reference/function. Now, the best part: Tom, the developer, has put real effort on this app and he stays on top of his game. You may find an issue here or there, as I did, but when I wrote him about it, he immediately replied to my email, answered my questions and continued to follow up with several emails. Now, that is what I call great customer service and a developer that cares. You won't be disappointed with this app!

Excellent quick reference tools!. This is slightly different than I thought it was going to be. I’m a retired radio tech, who recently discovered “Mr. Carlson’s Lab” on youtube/Patreon. It’s fun to dust off the knowledge, although I won’t be teching...just a fan now. One of the first things I did was to go the rectifier section and go to full-wave bridge. I used the first values, and got a real surprise that the load resistor would have fried like bacon! So manipulating its value by an order of magnitude brought a satisfying result. Very handy for pinout references, etc. Actually better than I expected.

Awesome. This app is a gem. Bought it speculatively and it's chock full of features, that the screenshots and description don't really give it credit for. The 555 worksheet and simulator is really cool, the Ui is easy to use especially for resistor color codes. The IC databse is very extensive especially in the 7400 series. There is a a very convenient link to everything's datasheet at TI. Every single link works. This product should be 4 times the price. Very well written.

Useful app. This is a great app and one of the few I pay for. Its excellent for anyone doing basic circuit design and testing. I have it open pretty much all the time in my lab for one thing or another. Things are well laid out and very intuitive. The device lists are of limited value and centred around TI stuff but thats only an observation and not a complaint. Made a recent suggestion concerning transistor voltage indications which was well received and hopefully it will show up in the next edition. I'd give it full marks now but I'd really like to see that useful improvement.

One electronics app to rule them all!. This app has so many useful features that I wonder if I would ever need or want another electronics app. Everything is easy to find, and intuitive to use. There are calculators for almost anything you can think of in here, and they don't just spit out the answer, they show the formulas too, which is nice. The reference materials have saved me time hunting around online, and another feature I especially like is the comprehensive simulator for the 555 timer IC. Support is first class here - I emailed the author and got a response back in just a few hours. For all the reasons above, I highly recommend you grab this app.
