Intuitive. This app is easy and intuitive. The tutorial starts the app for the first time and is quick however the app really flows logically and most would enjoy right out of the gate even without the tutorial. The results are uniquely creative and allows for quick and amazing custom photos. Highly recommend and would consider closely any new app developed by this author.

So well designed..... It takes a lot of work to craft an app this simple. I'm afraid Color Splash retouches may become overused because of this simplicity, thereby losing some of their ability to surprise (which is really their purpose). Still, if this app's success leads to other photographic projects that are as intuitive, appealing, and high quality as this one, the app world will truly have evolved.

Absolutely wonderful!. I just finished using this using one recent photograph and one old photograph that was color faded from a 35mm slide. Both turned out wonderfully. After watching the how-to video (highly recommended), all my questions about how to use the app were answered and I was armed to tackle both photos. The recently photo was no problem. With the old photo, the how-to video showed how to tweak the settings and doing the tweaking helped me turn the video into a work of art (for me, at least!). I am totally satisfied and I can't tell you how much you are going to LOVE this app once you download it and learn how to use it (once again, take a look at the video first). You can't go wrong!

Color splash for iPad. This is a great app if you like to be creative and remove some of the color in areas of photos that you have taken to mix in black and white for a subtle or dramatic effect. The amount of the change is up to you and I have been asked by family members how I was able to create a colored snapshot with black and white elements or remove all of the color to produce a black and white photo and then turn the sky blue. If you like taking pictures and want to open up your world to life as "you" see it this app is a must!

One of my all time apps. I hope the developer will always up grade this app as Apple upgrades their software.

Great but.... This app is very fun and useful. But only complaint right now is the app keeps crashing when I try to to load a photo from cameras roll. Please Fix!! I have the 3rd generation iPad . It only started recently, the last 2 days it has worked fine, even delete app and reloaded it . Still crashing every single time. I can import photos off Facebook with no problem . Just when I click the load photo but it crashes . :-/

Simple...beautiful...professional. This, used in conjunction with phototoaster and/or snapseed is my favorite photo editing app. The updates have included some wonderfully simple intuitive control for fine detail. The relationship between how the photo zoom and brush size work together is different and noticeably better than so many other graphics and photo editing apps. Especially with the addition of the pop up zoom window, it is possible to make edits incredibly quickly even in fine detail. In my experience, it is the attention to the fine details when applying effects like this that usually makes the difference between amateur and professional results. With this app, quick edits look fantastic, but the option is always there to really sink your teeth in and produce jaw dropping results and save your in progress work session . The 6 simple yet fast and powerful slide controls with the added grey tinting make this app so much fun to use that it has beaten out all of my go to games that i turned to when i wanted to kill 3-4 minutes. Thank you guys for an epic app that has brought new life and drama to my family photos as well as my professional portfolio.

Thumbs up!. This app is awesome! Works flawlessly. You will not regret spending money on this. Just remember you need a color photo to start off with. The program changes the color pic to black and white. Use your finger to select the areas you want to be In color. The program comes with a nice built-in video tutorial. I wish this app would allow you to take a B/W photo and by looking at the shades of gray calculate what color the pixel should be. I have a lot of Black and White photo that I would love to convert. Well-thought out UI!. This app is really amazing. Its a simple concept but executed wonderfully. The tutorial provided is really useful, so everyone needs to watch that! Once you get started playing around with it, you simply cannot stop! Simple photographs become suddenly cool! The user-interface is really well-thought out and the iPad is a PERFECT platform for this app! And its only $1.99? Such a steal!

Perfection. This is such a wonderful app. While first on the iPhone, this iPad version makes things so much easier to see as well as interact with what you are doing. As a beta tester, it is so wonderful to see this app come along and in such perfection. Congratulations, Hendrik, you have done an outstanding job. I will recommend this app to everyone I know that has an iPad, no matter if you are a picture person or not, it is so much fun to add the "wow" factor to your pictures. I will now aim to take pictures that would look outstanding after processing with this application. In short, just hit that "Buy App", you won't be dissapointed and it is certainly not a waste of your money.

Love it!. Be sure to watch the instructional video first. I jumped right in and was totally unimpressed; then did the video and understood what to do! This is a great app. I color in just one item, and email or print it. Zooming in really helps to fine-tune your results. Definitely worth the cost -- hours of fun! I continue to thoroughly enjoy this app. It is by far my favorite photo apps out of the many I have purchased.

Amazing!. I have always been looking for good photography apps but can never seem to find one for my liking... But this app is perfect! I love it so much, I use it on almost every single photo that i take! This app is wonderful and gives a new perspective to my photos. I think this app is great for all ages, considering that I am 13. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone who is a photographer, or someone who just wants something to do in their free time. I hope you love this app as much as I do! Great App But Disappointed I Had To Buy Again on iPad3. I own an IPhone 4 which I originally bought this software for and fell in love immediately! Now I own an IPad 3.0 and I go to install this software only to find that they don't have one universal app for the IPhone/IPad but that you have to buy this app just for the IPad! If it was't for the fact that I rated this app 5 stars for the IPhone I wouldn't have even bothered to buy the IPad version but seriously why can't they do what everyone else has done and combine the two to work on both platforms? Regardless of the scam this app is amazing and super easy to use. You can use your finger or a stylus and it's easy to zoom in and out. I still cant figure out how to change the color of things you want in color as it seems to have it's own default, which works fine for the most part, but there are a few photos I would like to have a diff color on than the default. If this is your 1st time buying the app then you are fine. I paid $1.99 which is good. I know there are many other apps out there like this one, but this one was among the 1st to arrive on the market for this type of app and they continue to support and improve upon which makes it a good purchase.

Awesome app and easy to use. This app is one of the simplest but it does something that beginners will find very difficult to do if they didn't use this app. The UI is easy to use and intuitive. Anyone can use this app and make awesome pictures that pop. I have given so many of my photos a 'splash of color' that people often ask me how long it took me to make it that way. They are all surprised when I tell them less than 1 minute. I've tried doing the same effect in Photoshop and it takes me forever to do the same thing this app does in seconds. I rarely pay for apps, but this one is worth every penny.

ArtArt. Turns photos into a painted look

Well worth it. I use Corel photo paint on the PC to edit and digitally airbrush photos. This is an easy to use and fun app for the iPad. The instructional video that comes with the app tells you all you need to know to make fantastic updates to your photo library. It works as advertised and you can make your own photos look just as dramatic as the sample ones in the app store. I highly recommend this one.

I tried many others, should have tried this first. Conclusion first: "Long story short, if you are looking to apply color/BW effects onto your precious photos, this is the app to get." I read the reviews of other iPad color/BW apps and I see a lot of comments about output resolution. Yes, output resolution is probably the most important aspect of an app like this. A lot of other apps talk about "full size" and such, but in reality they detune the image sizes. I tried many of the popular ones but the results were not satisfactory. So I email the Color Splash's dev and I received an immediate response regarding Color Splash's output handling. (Even though we're probably in a very different time zone.) I'm told that the app outputs input resolutions. I purchased the app and tried it and find that, YES, the output is not resized. The original images resolution is maintained! First app I encounter that does this. The resulting images are clean, too. Furthermore, the UI is very crisp and logical, and, the app offers the right tools to make image manipulations easy. This is exactly the kind of app the iPad was made for, IMHO. Long story short, if you are looking to apply color/BW effects onto your precious photos, this is the app to get.

Perfect. All I have to say is that I LOVE this app so far. I bought it this morning, but didn't really have time to play with it much before I had to go to work. But I've been home for a couple hours now and I've just really enjoyed working with this app. It does everything I want to do and a lot of other things that the other photo applications don't do. I'm sure I'll discover something about it I don't like, think could be improved, or could be added, but it's still a five star app for me and I look forward to any future updates!

Wonderful. The ability to selectively add the original color to your pictures pictures once they have been grayscaled by the app is not what makes this app unique as there are at least a dozen apps for iPad that do this. This app allows you to add the detail of color as finely as you want. The ability to zoom in and way out on a photo to it's pixel for removing/adding just the right amount of color is amazing. I can color fine strands of hair on my subject while leaving the background black and white. The ability to change from color to gray with a tap means I can really just focus on coloring, twisting and turning my iPad as I want without having to reposition it to find the function buttons. The red paint button allows me to check for accidental smudges and to fine tune my work. I can take my time and apply color as accurately as I want. I can save a session on which I've been working hard and come back to it later. I can save my edited work to photos and this doesn't override the original photo. If you value the artistic nature of this type editing then this is the app for you. The other apps don't do those type of editing any justice.

Cool Tool. I'm an "expert amateur" photographer who is familiar with some of the more complex image processing techniques. This little photo editing tool is so simple, that it can bring the ordinary image to life by adding colour just where you want it, producing great contrast against a subdued black & white/grey background. I was immediately making different creations to my pics after downloading. Works best if image has vivid colours. Worth the money.

Color Splash is a must for anyone with photos. The easiest way to outline and make any object stand out in color. Take seconds to catch on and complete a photo. If you make a mistake simple tapping switches from color to gray. A special red layer tells you what you have done. I can't stop playing with this one. Does a great job making people stand out. Worth more than two bucks.

Fun!. I feel so artistic with this app. And what I like is that not only do you keep your original photo but also each subsequent photo that you change and play with. So you can try editing/coloring the same photo many times, in many ways, pick the ones you like and either delete the least favorable ones or keep for future references. You MUST watch the tutorial video. After a couple of times there shouldn't be any trouble with this app. I recommend it! You will impress your friends.

Easy, fun. The effect is simple, but the app does that one thing brilliantly. You have perfect control of the area to clear and the intensity of color to return. It's easy to do. Mistakes are easily corrected It is just a little counter to my basic mindset to get finer control by enlarging the subject rather than reaching for a smaller tool, but for the iPad that makes perfect sense. I'd be thrilled if there were another level available with filters for altering the colors, but that's something else. This app does what bit says and does it well.

Works well. Color Splash allows you to selectively color your images. Of course you could do this same effect using any other image program that supports layers by importing your color image, duplicating it to another layer, set the top layer to grayscale, and then erase sections of the top layer to reveal the color below. But what the layer method doesn't offer you is the ability to easily re-gray areas because you have already erased that data from the grayscale layer. With Color Splash, switching between color and gray is just a press of a button. One feature I think is missing is the ability to switch to a full color view of the image. This would be handy so that you could get your bearings on which areas need to be colored before switching back to grayscale view. It would also be great if they added a wand selector with color threshold to automatically select an area of similar color.

Extremely cool and worth $2, easy! Great for novices. Teeny tiny criticism.... Gave a lot of flavor to photos. Simple, intuitive use. Great interfaces to social media and my Mac. Does a few tricks that graphic-friendly Apple didn't think about with their photo software. Only criticism and suggestion for the designers... Allow users to "color" only one hue/primary color in addition to full color expression. i.e. rub the sky to pull the blue out of it but not the yellow of the sun A tip for budding photographers... use this to express deep, rich colors that draw a lot of contrast. I went back to all wedding photos I had for others, B&W'd the background and pulled the bouquet and his boutonniere. Looks great against white wedding dresses and black tuxedos/

Awesome app. Simple to use and does exactly what it says very well. The only difficult part can be finding a picture that lends itself to being partly colored in (tougher than it sounds sometimes, especially when it's your own photos). On the other hand, I now consider this app when I take pictures. When an app changes the way you frame a shot, it must be good, right? The excellent tutorial includes basic operation and handy shortcuts. Definitely worth the price, though I wouldn't want to do this app on anything other than an iPad (screen size).

Money well spent. Best $2 I have spent in a while. I have been really enjoying editing pictures. Works great with Apple Pencil. Endless coloring book for anyone

Now the iPad makes complete sense to me. not to gush too much about this app, but simply wow. i've been enjoying my iPad and doing a lot of reading, etc. on it but this was the first app where somehow everything suddenly made sense. the canvas of the large screen, the simplicity of "painting" in color with such ease, and the absolutely stunning results. first reaction after using this program = looking up corporate info on Pocket Pixels as a program of this quality means some amazing developers who are going to be huge!

Expanding photo album. I have seen and liked other people post pics with color highlight. So, I picked up this app without any real knowledge. It has been very fun and easy to work with. It has also brought a renewed interest in some of my pictures that would have otherwise been filed away forever. Some pics just scream for color to highlight what is intended to be the subject. And this app does that perfectly well.

Inconsistent Settings, Otherwise Great. If the pencil isn’t touching the screen constantly, the settings change from color to black and white every few seconds. Really great beyond that - pinch to zoom in and out lets you edit minute details, really fun.

Awesome app!!!!. Great for quick, fun editing. I will admit I am a bit of a snob when it comes to editing and of course would never give up my Adobe editing suite.....however the quality of this app will allow me to save time and shoot some of my photos with my iPad then post directly on my website....something I would have never considered before. I have downloaded many other popular apps (all of which were unsatisfactory - I DID say I was a snob remember). LOVE this app!!!!

Worth twice this price. I've had this app since it was released and after using it for awhile decided to comment...........WOW! My girlfriend and I spent many, many, many hours online looking at programs that would do this and let me just say it was going to cost a lot more money and take forever to do what this program does quite easily. I say get it, your friends and family will be blown away by what you can do!

Making photos take on new meaning!. I just bought this app - not only was it easy to do, the tutorial made me productive immediately. I was able to take a picture of my sons college graduation where he was lost in a sea of students...by coloring in just him, he was beaming out of a sea of students - it changed the entire feel and meaning of the picture...even In a vast world of people, you can always find the ones you love. Try it, it's a fantastic way to add art to your photos!

Ok.. Would be better if it did not shrink the size of the file. I wanted to print a large poster of a print I have but the app keeps reducing my 6.5MB pic to 2MB. I can't print a large poster from that. Good for small projects and the outcome is cool though.

Love/Hate. I love how easy this app is to use. It’s kind of a one trick app, it does nothing except make a photo black and white and then lets you brush on the color you already have on the photo. I would expect to get something this for free. I would not buy this app if I could go back and do it again. It needs more functionality. Ability to tone down certain colors or make specific color less. Example of this would be if a image had too much yellow in a specific part of the picture.

Wow!. I have been fiddling with this app for well over an hour and I love it! I'm recoloring birds from photos I have taken and it's incredible the colors I hadn't noticed before. With the whole pic being black and white and you using your finger to colorize the areas you desire you really see the orange bill, the pink legs and the various yellows on an American Goldfinch, for instance. This app is really opening my eyes to all the color nuances in birds, and who know where I'll go from there. I'm really enthusiastic about this app and recommend it with no reservations. I can't wait to see what the developers have in store for the future of colorsplash!

A Favorite. There are few photographic art apps that I would rate as quality, but this one is one of the best. Besides being quality, it is fun, practical, and unique. But best of all, you don't have to get your Masters in Fine Arts or become Ansel Adams to learn how to make this thing work. My only problem with this app is that it can be addictive. So, get it, enjoy it, but don't redo every single photo in your collection.

Works as advertised. Color splash work just as they advertise. The best part is how well it works with apple pencil and iPad Pro. It makes doing the masking so much easier than with a mouse on the computer and frankly much more enjoyable. The one feature I would like to see and maybe it has it and I haven't found it, yet, is an image lock so the picture won't rotate when I change the angle of the iPad. I look forward to any updates that will expand its ease of use or adding features.

Great App--a must have app. What a great app and implementation too. It just works like you would expect it too. I watched the demo and picked up a few pointers too. Never crashes. Doesn't bug me to buy anything so when it asked if I wanted to review I did. Seriously are you still considering a purchase? Stop reading and go buy it. Still here? Fine. It lets you color photos in a really easy and sophisticated way. You use your finger. You can draw in color or grey. Still wondering? It saves the photos in full quality when you are done. There is also a red mode if you just cannot tells if a section is colorized the right way. Switch on red to check then switch it off and continue. Really go buy the app. Click buy up there in the upper left. Now.

Awesome app for iPad. Seldom do I come across really outstanding apps - apps that are way better than most out there. This is one of those rare-find apps. I was amazed at how well developed this app is, very user friendly and providing very professional results !!!! After loading this app, you are presented with an extremely helpful video showing you exactly how to use all the features. Congratulations on one of the best apps in the app store !!!! Simple, Beautiful, Striking and Easy. That is what this app is. It is so fun to have my pictures come to life and be 'colored in' when I'm using this app. It so, so, so worth the money. If you have good pictures, then buy this app and they will become great pictures! It is so exact and precise that you can create amazing things with only your fingertips. You don't need skill or a stylus, you just need good photos. Still, if you don't have or don't like your photos then just copy one on Google Images. Please download this app, you won't regret it...

Love black & white pictures.. I

Extremely intuitive. Besides doing exactly what it claims to do, I was impressed how simple and natural the gestures and modes are to use. Going back and forth between color and gray paint as well as zoom/pan live up to what we expect in Apple simplicity. I would love to see a simpler way to go back and forth between original picture and modified picture. Not a big deal, but would be nice.

Totally awesome!. I love this app! It's easy to learn, does exactly what it says it will do, and is just plain fun!!! Also, I had a very minor issue trying to play the included Help video, which turned out to be an issue with the iPad OS that was resolved with a simple reboot, but more importantly, the support I received on the developer's web site was wonderfully fast and friendly, and besides that, the support site is quite nice!

Simple and effective. Great app. I have a camera that does colour splash but being tied to 1 colour has proven to be a nuisance at times. The ability to paint back in the original colour, but in a quick and easy way, is why this is a 5 star app - even without the other editing bells and whistles. I actually prefer it to some of the more 'sophisticated' editing apps due to the ease of use.

Fantastic app!. This app is great fun & anyone can turn out beautiful unique photos. I just get lost in it when I am creating a picture. I've found that using a stylus on the edges when turning black & white to colour is easier than using my finger. Great app for ages 8 to 108!

Get it!. Crazy for this one, only limited by your imagination. I only just got it but am addicted already. Easy to use, everything works as it says in the introduction video. Very creative, actually hope you don't get it, so that my pics look better!

Unusable. Great features, great tutorial but completely unusable. I load my picture but as soon as I try to brush the colour back on, the picture spazzes out like a kaleidoscope so I can't even see what I'm doing. Tried multiple pictures, same bug. Hope this is fixed soon because it looks like it will be a great app, but right now it's just a waste of money.

Good app. But had issues where when some images are imported, images turned into landscape mode and distorted and can't get back the original.

Go create!. Great app, makes your saturated photos look like a pro's work. So easy to use and integrate with social networks, a must have if you live by your photos.

Literally only does one thing.. If you want part of the photo in b&w and part colour you’re in luck cause this app does that. Wanna do anything else at all? This app isn’t useful.

Does a pretty cool job. Ever seen those photos in shops where the double decker London bus in fire engine red but the background is black and white? Well this app provides the tools to master that same effect. The only drawback is that it can be hard to see what you are coloring in as you finger obscures it. All the same I really like the effect it creates. I worthwhile purchase.

Great value and great app. I haven't seen such a clean interface and intuitive controls on an iPad $2.49 app. The app is extremely easy to use and you can create endless variations of your photos. I like how you can also email, save, upload, rescale and save sessions right from within the app. If I need to exit to check other things like emails, I can press the home button, knowing it will save my work for when I next open the app. Sure, it would be nice to have some more features, but that would be beside the app's purpose. Anyway, for an app with such a practical, clean and simple interface, and at such a great price, it does exactly what it is meant to do and is definitely worth purchasing.

Not happy with iPad version.... Why does my iphone version have the ability to change effects with Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Colour Temp & Grey Tinting, where as this more e pensive iPad version I've also purchased doesn't? Not happy Jan!

Color Splash. Love it!!! Not for every photo, but a heap of fun especially if you've got a shot with some dramatic coloring. Have turned some otherwise ordinary shots into some very cool pieces.

Fun but.... Does one thing but does it well. It is easy and fun to use. Could use a couple of tweeks: a revert to original function, and a set of shapes like ovals, squares etc.

Love this app!. I love adding colour just where I want it and no where else. It's fun to work and and the results are amazing, really impressive. The only complaint I have is that it sometimes switches on its own from colour to black and white. It's frustrating, but otherwise its a terrific app at a fantastic price.

This is such a cool App!. I love this app. You can unleash your creativity by changing your photos to black and white, then adding color splashes were you want to "pop-out" areas you want people to focus on you can pop the images even more by using the special slider tool to adjust brightness, contrast and color saturation. Very easy to use - and very impressive job creating it!

Awesome!. Just downloaded this app a few days ago, I have already made many beautiful pictures! It works wonderfully, and it is so easy to use! You probably should watch the tutorial though, I did, but if I hadn't I think it would have taken me a lot longer to figure out how to use it the way I wanted to. Love it!

Works as advertised. that's saying a lot for some of the iPad apps i've downloaded. This app is all about selective color. It's a popular technique for enhancing photographs. This app makes creating a selective color photo intuitive. Starting with selecting a photo, the user is dropped immediately on a grayed out photo. It's as simple as swiping across the photo to bring back color. A simple two button - color/erase - interface, as well as zooming in/out makes it simple to work on even complex photos. I used this to colorize a horse and rider in motion. This may seem like a limited app, but it's guaranteed to please.

Awesome and Fun. I have to say that this app is simply amazing. It does in a matter of minutes what may take 30 to 60 times as long. A simple pic taking 10 minutes with ColorSPlash took about 45 minutes in photoshop. And look at the price difference! Congrats to the developer for a great app!

This app is really addicting!. I was doubtful at first of this app as I thought it would get boring after several uses, but once I started to use it I couldn't stop! It's so much fun, and you could use any picture you want to edit. It's great to just past the time or create awesome photos. It's easy to use, and was worth every penny!

I Highly recommend this app it is Great.. This app is easy to use, the photo's come out great. The tutorial is very good. I have used this app a lot and I have had no problems. If you have photo's with bright color that aren't very busy I would play with them first while you are learning.

Fun to use but wish I knew of iPad version first. App was recommended in a tech newsletter. First one that pulled up was for iPhone and only after I purchased it did a message show up when loaded app recommending the iPad version since that was what I was using. Oh well, first $.99 down the drain. Will do more research next time re available versions.

Stellar!. I've been taking photographs for 30 years, family & friends. Often wanting to pronounce images in the photograph. This is now so possible and easy, our images can reveal our thoughts as we see them. BEWARE But Good. I hit the buy button thinking that I would get this for free since I already paid for it when I got it for my iPhone like every other app that I have downloaded that I have for both. But NO, they charge you saying it is a different app, even though it does the same thing. Other than that it is a great app. Very fun.

Better than Fantastic. This application is great. I love this, now I need to download more photos. It has a great 2 minute video that is so easy to understand. SUPER DUPER WOW!. I recently was shown some wedding photos with similar effects and was wondering how they did this. Now I do know! This is a great app and does not require any special talents. It works as advertised and I used it immediately after the download. The app loads an informational video upon first try and it explains in great detail, how it all works. Highly recommended and worth every penny, all 199 of them!

So easy and super cool. When I first downloaded it, it was super slow and unresponsive and I thought that I threw that $1.99 down the toilet....but when I relaunched it it was good to go and I haven't looked back since. I've probably Colorsplashed at least 20 pics with stellar results. Super easy to upload to Facebook and email.

It's like turning your photos into a coloring book!. This app is a lot of fun. It completely performs and will not disappoint. Color in any part of your photos and share them with ease. I highly suggest watching the 5 minute tutorial video that shows up when first opening the app. It will fully explain the functionality of the app.

The must have app!!!. I take a lot of pictures. I have been playing around with this app and I would recommend this to anyone who loves editing photos. This app gives you a fun way to play around with color in your photos. A must have app for anyone who edits photos.

Great fun. This app is a lot of fun for creating unique images. Using your finger on the iPad screen is so much easier than using a mouse, or even a pen tablet because the image is right there, you don't have to translate the motions of your hand with an image on the screen. Update: I've also begun using a stylus with this app and that makes the control even more amazing. Great app!

Takes the work out of color isolations!. As a pro photographer I have many customers who like color isolation shots so I do them frequently. This is an easy and quite effective little app that makes it almost fun to do. I've used it numerous times now and have been very satisfied with it! Worth every penny!

Fantastic!. This app is worth every penny (& it didn't cost very many pennies at all!). I love to be able to add in color in certain locations in photos and this is certainly easier than printing the picture in black and white and then coloring it in with specialized markers (which can be quite costly).

So easy and fast. Great app that does exactly what it says it will do ... Allows you to quickly and easily selectively color photos. I'm used to working in Photoshop and was amazed at how well I could mask and brush in this app. I probably wouldn't use it for large prints I'd hang, but very cool just for fun and photo sharing.

Color Splash. This app provides a quick and easy way to get the color highlight effect on your photos. I've always wanted to achieve this without having to use Photoshop. The only thing I would add is the ability to change colors (instead of using only the original colors from the stock photo). Intro video is very helpful as well!

Love it!. Bought this for the iPad and it rocks! Another cool thing is that since the iPad 2 only let's you share to twitter and not Facebook on the camera it comes with, you can easily share on fb with this app while making your pictures look really cool in the process:)

Great tool. This tool is really fun to use, and very easy to use. I like the feature where you can put on a red mask so that the areas you have some small mistakes in can be seen easily. And the ability to turn off the B&W masking so you can tell where there are other areas you want to work on is very good. Very happy with the tool.

Great app!. Really great app, very useful, only wish that it had more features like crop, rotate, etc.. Basically, wish it did more than just convert black and white to color and vice-versa, would like it to be able to really edit pics to a higher degree.

At long last. This was my favorite photo editing app on my iPhone and I have been waiting anxiously for its glorious HD return and I have not been let down. Just as easy to use as it was on the iPhone except I don't have to worry about everything being grainy and poor quality if I want to keep the larger image sizes.

Close to perfect for my needs. Fun app! It is easy to use and fun to pass some time. I would rate this 5 stars it let u change the picture to different colors. It would be the perfect app if it would do the above as well as simple cropping options so I don't have to use multiple apps just to do something so simple. Over all well worth the money! Does what it says perfectly. The iPad is the perfect tool for photo editing. Color Splash's user interface is extremely well thought out, much better than a desktop app. And the brilliant video tutorial it begins with should be a lesson to all app designers everywhere. Great job!

Good app but........ The only way to upload a photo to Facebook is to do it from within the app. You can't save the photo to your camera roll then upload through Facebook. This flaw only allows you to upload to your own page and prevents you from posting the photo to a friends page. You must then go back and tag your friend. it's just annoying more then anything and the only thing preventing a rating of 5 stars.

Six stars. I'm a photographer and graphic designer, I saw the iPhone version for a long time and I thought, I could do all this on Photoshop, but man I was wrong! It's fun and fast and easily upload and save to facebook. Now I could take a pic the connect ipad to my sd card, load the pics , color splash it, the upload or email.

Awesome!. Playing for 5 minutes simply left me speechless. It's seamless. I just like to push the boundary with one request: please add an option for the brush to eliminate the targeted area and make it a clear background, so one can paste the rest into another picture. Not sure such Photoshop kind function is possible here, but it is a worthy challenge and an unique killer feature. Thank you.

Too much fun. This is what the iPad is all about. So long gimp! This app is simple and can only do what is is said to do, and that is to Chang the colors in the photo to black and white. I can see how down the road a more complex tool similar to this one would work, and I look forward to that. Until then, load of fun!

Elegant. Fast, easy, fun to use. Very elegant. To do this same effect in Photoshop would require more steps and take longer. If you can trace lines with your finger, you can do it here. I've enjoyed using it, and find myself looking for images to apply the effect, because I enjoy using it so much. Get it.

Cool Stuff. I consider myself a photo taker and not a photo maker....I enjoy capturing a moment or experience.....and not creating the "perfect" photo via software. Awesome. This app is amazing. It takes something that is usually time consuming and gives you instant results. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that there is always room for improvement. Maybe introduce a color selector for what you want to bring out, instead of all color in the selected area. Love it though. Amazingly simple yet powerful. Perfect iPad app.

One of my favorite apps. Would give a 5 star if you could adjust saturation and contrast. Have ColorSplash Pro but it lacks the zooming of this original version so I don't use it. Terrific app. This app is very intuitive (after watching the intro video, anyway). I hesitated to get it because I couldn't imagine doing such detail work with my clumsy finger, but no sweat--just two-touch to magnify and move the photo. Too easy! I waste a lot of time on my iPad, but at least with this app I can share my results.

Incredible!!. This is truly a first rate app. It almost boggles the mind the things we can do these days thanks to the iPad, and this app really brings this to light. The tutorial is beyond helpful (I wish all apps came with such a remarkably simple and well-crafted demo) and within seconds I was able to make the most beautiful works of art. A+

An excellent photo app. There is a bit of a learning curve to be able to really clean up the edges of whatever photo you're working on, but the results are fantastic! I also use this app on my Galaxy Note II and with that I can use the stylus for the fine tunings. I think the key is the subject of the photo that is the key to a good Color Splash editing. I do recommend this app to others.
