Widget would make it Perfect!. Comes in handy when needed on the job site. Would be perfect if a widget was available and you could swipe right to access the calculator. Pcalc has this functionality and makes it available when needed.

Don’t waste your time unless you want to pay for an over-priced subscription. I had used the standalone calculator before and really liked it. When I saw the app I thought I would try it. Unfortunately, it would not let me run the app without choosing a subscription plan. Sure I could cancel in 7 days and not get charged - if I don’t forget. However, the price was so outrageous that I just deleted the app. 50 bucks for an annual SUBSCRIPTION is ridiculous! The calculator is good, so I might pay $30 or $40 to BUY the app, but I’m certainly going to pay forever for a subscription when you can buy the standalone calculator that will last for years for $50 or $60. Sorry I wasted my time.

Used a Construction Master since the eighties. My first construction master was a Construction Master III, that my wife bought me for my birthday. That original purchase made me the star of the framing crew. I also owned a CM IV, and now the CM V, as well as the app. As a tradesman, I found it indispensable on the job.

Thrilled and disappointed. I am thrilled with the functionality of the calculator. I am lucky to have BOUGHT the calculator app when you still could. I am very disappointed that the app has now become subscription based…and I no longer recommend it for my students.

GC. I use this calculator everyday! It has always been a great app to use easy to operate and gets you results you need when you need it. I got it for all my guy’s and it’s has been a valuable tool on the job and off!

Amazing please add the ( MASTER PLUS EZ). Already bought your calculators they are amazing i love them. But i wish you can make the app of the (Master plus ez) there’s a lot construction out there waiting for the calculator. Great app. Horrible subscription!!. I’ve had this app for 5+ years and have really liked it. I still do as I don’t have to pay the monthly fee. But it’s the new users I wish to speak for…. Been recommending it to new employees as they come on board but won’t be doing that anymore due to the exorbitant monthly fees. No I won’t recommend your physical calculators either. You’ve ruined it with the decision to charge so much.

Excellent App. If you’re making a living in the trades, you need this app. Always with me because it’s on my phone, not a separate device that I could easily forget or leave somewhere by accident. I use this app nearly every day. I’m a residential builder/remodeler and this is a go to app for roof framing, layout, gable walls, stairs, concrete, blocks, and brick takeoffs just to name a few. I am always finding new ways to use this app. Highly recommended.

Always with me. I use the construction master pro in the office and have enjoyed the app on my phone. The phone is always with me meaning I need to carry less in my bags.

Optimal for calculating on job site. I utilize this on the daily in the shop fabricating, or on site from grid lines to architectural. Only wish there was a back button like the calculators!

It’s always with me. As a GC I have used a Construction Master almost daily for years. It’s the industry standard. The problem was I would use it at my desk while working on a bid and not have it in the field the next day, or reach for it in while pouring over a set of plans only to realize it was in my bags in the truck. Not anymore! My phone is always with me and now so is my Construction Master.

Construction Calculator App. I have used the handheld and desktop versions of the Construction Calculator since it’s inception. Given phones are typically at hand it is awesome to have the same function and quality on the phone.

Great value. Where do I start singing the praises for this app? Let’s start with the construction master calculator itself. It is an invaluable tool for figuring roofs alone, but so much more. When you have the app on your phone it is always handy and at your fingertips. I purchased the app many years ago, and it transfers every time I replace my iPhone. I probably would have worn out several calculators in the time I’ve had this app. Cool thing is, when there is an upgrade, it downloads and I am up to date in minutes. I cannot live without the Construction Master Pro. Just sayin.

Cost. Is there any plan to take away the subscription plans and just have a single payment for continuous use? I keep seeing the most complained about thing is people don’t want to have to pay for a subscription. Just curious. Thanks.

Amazing app, subscription is killing it. I own this app, have purchased for my iPad, I have recommended it to every architect, engineer, and subcontractor I know, and yesterday when purchasing for my sister we found out there’s a subscription… sadly, I cannot recommend a subscription app when Home Depot sells them for $40-$50… I wouldn’t mind if you were to increase the price for such useful app, but a subscription really is killing it for me… I hope you are able to bring back this app…

The only choice. This is bar none the best construction calculator there is! Hate that I have to pay for it, but will continue to pay as this is the most important tool in my box

Construction calculator. I found the original construction calculator at least 15 to 20 years ago. I have used them ever since that time, I have always had a couple in my truck one in the office one of my briefcase and several of them I have dropped broken over the years and had to replace. When I was looking to buy another new one I saw that they had the app online and now with it having it on my phone I have two on my desk there’s none in my truck there’s none in my briefcase it all works right off the phone and I haven’t broken it once. If you are in construction of any kind you should have this app on your phone.

Not worth the lease. Costs as much as CI 4065!. What a rip. The app will cost as much as the hand held dedicated Calculated Industries 4065 calculator in just the first year of leasing it! Every year thereafter is like buying another calculator! CI is just being greedy on a money grab thinking people will just see the lease payment as a smaller amount aggregated over a year hoping the consumer overlooks that it’s into perpetuity. I’ll keep using the $55 CI-4065 which I own outright. I enjoy the added benefit of ensuring my $1400 phone isn’t damaged on a job site or worse, develop wings.

Great app!. Great app! Way better than purchasing the calculator. Ive broken my calculator on job sites and have had to buy new ones. Now every time I get a new phone the app pops up on it. No more purchasing new calculators for framing

So convenient 💯💯💯. Awesome tool to have on my phone which has to be on my person at all times on the jobsite. Old calculators kept getting broken by careless co-workers. They’ll have to buy their own now. 🤣

Framer. This is my first proper construction Calc. Handles everything you can encounter on a framing job. I have other apps as well but I always have the CM open for convenience. A must have for anyone doing framing!

Just like the calculator … but better. All the functions of the handheld calculator but better because my phone is always in my pocket. We’ll worth the cost!

A must for construction professionals. This app is fantastic. The only problem is they keep moving stuff around. The older version is the best. Still extremely useful. Highly recommend this program.

Exactly what I wanted. As a carpenter I have used a construction master from foundations to roofs, and everything in between. When I wasn’t wearing my tool pouches I was always running back to the truck to get my calculator. Now it’s always by my side.

Great purchase. I’ve bought this actual calculator several times and had to replace it because I lost it or drove over it. Then I bought the app, and it is always in your pocket and an essential tool to have no matter what kind of construction you do. I currently still own one of the real calculators, but I use the app everyday.

Great app but didn’t transfer when I switched phones. I switched phones a couple weeks ago and the app didn’t transfer and now it’s asking for me to pay a yearly fee to use it. I would really like if I didn’t have to seeing as I already bought it and it just didn’t transfer but if I have to please let me know

Best Construction Calculator. I have been use construction master calculators for decades. The pocket and desktop models are still in use today. Having the app on my iPhone and iPad in the Feild is so convenient and just as easy to use. Rando G

Great calculator. Have used my desktop model for 30 years and couldn’t live without it until this app. Although the giant desktop is great for crunching numbers at home I always use the app on the job site. A bit pricey but worth it if you want an in depth construction calculator and especially if you are already familiar with the format of the non virtual model. Have no regrets about buying.

Great Calculator. The support is good because they are video tutorials that you can read on how to. The digital paper printer function is extremely helpful for you to review your work and saves time. Would definitely recommend to someone and have.

I want to buy it, not to be forced to commitment.. I love this brand. I have a physical calculator of this brand and I’d like to have it conveniently in my phone, but I want to buy it, not to have an annual commitment. It doesn’t make any sense to me. I was happy to download it and I was very disappointed having to delete the app. ☹️

Best thing for a construction calculator. I have been wanting this for many years and never got it until just recently and this tool is one of the best tools in my toolbox.

Great Tool. I like everything except I don’t know how to erase ONLY the last digit put in by mistake,so you have to delete and start all over. My old stand alone model had a backspace arrow,so you don’t lose all of your calculations. That’s all. Somebody’s gonna let me know how to do it. I just know it. I hope so!!

A must have. I’m a general building contractor. I use this app everyday when I’m on the job. Accurate and easy to use. Makes my life much easier.

GREAT Calculator!. I’m just a DIYer handyman, with some mechanical aptitudes. Although I’m not a professional, I love this calculator for my woodworking projects and home improvement/repair projects. It’s a whole lot easier than trying to figure the calculations out in my head. I’ve had a physical version of this for years. But some of the improvements in this app are truly amazing. Whether you’re a professional or, especially if you’re a DIYer like me, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you add this tool to your toolbox!

Was a good deal with app purchase till update. Was a great tool with a simple one time fee till the last update . Now I get the pleasure of having to login in to apple each time I use it cause they decided to make it a subscription . Sorry I’d use my real construction master over that any day of the week . I would like this fixed but I’m sure it’s gonna take a long time . I’ll use it till they will not let me , but I regret not waiting 24 hours on any updates. I paid for this app along time ago already.

Subscription is a scam. Subscription ? For using calculator? Really? Dont pay $70 for hand held calculator ether, just buy BuildCalc for $25 it’s way better anyways (update: just for the record, I never said do it for free. You can sell for set price not subscription. I checked all of your updates and found that your calculator doesn’t have anything special for me to pay $40/year and it does not have useful features that build calc wouldn’t)

My only complaint is that another piece of technology has made a lot of our hard earned knowledge available to any idiot with five bucks and a smart phone!

Handy on the Jobsite. Useful tool to have when walking the job site. Much easier than having to carry a full size calculator. I think $25 is a little more than it should cost personally, but it’s still cheaper than the real calculator. One complaint I have is the App icon looks very dated aside the rest of the apps on my phone. Hopefully that isn’t a sign that it no longer receives updates, or that it will become incompatible with new iOS versions.

Subscription is a scam. I have the hand-held calculator and it’s awesome! Downloaded the app thinking it would be a simple purchase (and it used to be, I just didn’t act on it earlier), but now they’ve joined the subscription scam movement where you can’t just buy something and use it, you have to continue to pay them, basically renting the thing. It’s one thing to pay a subscription for an actual service but you shouldn’t have to pay for a subscription to use a product, you should be able to buy and not rent. My advice, buy the hand held one, it’s $75 on their web site, it’s great, don’t give in and pay way more to rent the thing on your phone.

This will help your career. I have had this on my iPhone for a very long time. Super convenient because you normally always have your phone on hand, not always a calculator when you need one in the field or shop. I have used this as a metal fabricator, structural fitter, ironworking in buildings, plants and working on large ships. This app is always updated with newer software which you cannot do with a calculator. If you use a calculator in the trades, just get this app.

My pro Calc. Been a lifesaver, used throughout 30 plus years in construction. I like that you can set the tolerance to your liking, so many functions, I’ve only used a few. But I know they’re all at my disposal. One tool for me that’s irreplaceable.

Very convenient. After using the stand alone pro Calc I find that having it stored on my phone is much more convenient. It is with me at all times and is very easy to use.

Best Calculator ever.. I’m a retired Construction Superintendent Journeyman Carpenter I’ve bee using my calculator since 1993. And the app. Ever since I could install it on my IPhone. I use to figure rafters long hand. Then convert the measurements. What a life saver. Thank You.

Useful. As a framer I use this app a lot. And it does its job just perfect. For layout, for lumber, for concrete... So what else do you need?

why is this a subscription app now?. I have used this app on 2 different phones over for many years. I switch to iPhone and want to buy but this app but apparently it is now a subscription now?! It’s just a calculator and a subscription makes no sense. Just let me pay once and use it how I want to…. Maybe someone else has made a version that isn’t a recurring payment…

When I first used your product I could not get it locally and had to custom order my calculators from BC and have them shipped to Winnipeg. Estimator. Works just like the hardware version. For a fraction of the cost, I can have it have it on a phone and a tablet and always have it with me.

Older app is safer. This app is a fantastic app so why 3 stars? The older version is very good, have used it many times. The newer version has lots of feature and you cannot deny it’s a great calculator, especially if you are an original purchaser so your purchase is safe. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because of what’s hidden in the new version. Monitoring, monitoring and more monitoring. Every single company does it, they know everything about you. If you use a phone, a credit card, the internet you won’t avoid this. Then here is the worst part, it gets shared with government. If your honest and decent, you have nothing to worry about, still it’s horrible to know that you are constantly spied on, the only way to escape this is live under ground and avoid contact with humanity, good luck with that. It’s not that we don’t know what is going on, it’s just to make a point, and that is that we know that we are being spied on, and that our information is used for profit. Google has placed so much tracking on this app it’s not funny, but it’s not just Google, they all do it, but we are aware, it’s just almost impossible to avoid. But it’s a great app, that cannot be denied. 👍 I changed my rating to 4, because it really is a great calculator, but I still don’t like the monitoring. 👍

I cant divide by 12 or 16. Essential tool for home builders. I Have both physical desktop model and the app. Dont go to the job site without either.

Worth the price excellent app. I own the physical calculator of the same type and paid $80 for it, the addition of the iPhone version that I always have on me is more than worth the additional cost. They have been an industry leader with their calculators and the addition of the IPhone app is a welcomed one

Expensive paid app has *advertising*!. After paying ~CDN$35 for the app, the first thing it displays upon opening is a full-screen advertisement for another product that has to be dismissed to use the app. That’s just greedy! Very negative first impression. Paid apps at this level should have NO advertising at all.

Purchase version. So far this app is worth every dollar as I purchased for around $30.00+ in 2019 I think. After updating it to the latest version about a month ago it did detect my original apple receipt and so I’m still able to use it without cellular data and without a subscription.

Rent your calculator. Seriously, I have to rent your app to use this calculator? I purchased this app years ago on my other company iPhone. Because that Apple ID is tied to the other phone I can’t re-download it and now I’m just noticing today that I have to RENT your app! Are you crazy? I think it’s time to make a competing app.

Recently crappy. Whatever has changed with my calculator presumably since the last update is frustrating as hell.That stupid white bar at the bottom keeps causing thedecimal to not register.

Good calculator bad way to sell. Works great, good tool to have but making it a subscription for yearly instead of having a purchase option is just horrible. People are complaining and they are not listening.

Great calc, but….. I love this in the mobile app. Problem is that an internet connection is now needed to use the app - it’s a pain as a result. If I didn’t already own it, I wouldn’t purchase it.

The best construction app ever. The app is as good as the physical calculator. It might exceed the calculator. Definitely worth the cost.

Key locations. I use this calculator on both the iPhone and the iPad. Having the keys located in different places on the same app causes a slow done in how I use both apps. Makes no sense to me at all.

Gone downhill. This app started out great, after recent update it opens extremely slow and crashes. iPhone 11.

Will you be changing it to a one time price again?. Will you be changing the price of this app to a one time fee rather than a subscription again? If so I will buy it ones that time comes. Otherwise I refuse to pay a subscription for this app.

Best construction app. If you are a builder, or any construction tradesman you are doing a disservice to yourself by not having this app on your Home Screen.

GREED AT ITS FINEST!. I purchased a few of the physical calculators for my guys and then the app came out for one time purchase and I purchased those as well. It’s unfortunate that’s not enough to where now users need to pay monthly for this app. Shameful, unnecessary greed. I’d love to hear CIs reasoning logic for the need to pay monthly.

Good for professionals. This is a good calculator to use for professionals and regular people. As a framer and contractor all I can say, I don’t need to carry a separate calculator just to ge my measurements to cut roofs and stairs.

Great, but. Great tool that really simplifies things. I’d pay a one time fee, but I’m not gonna pay a monthly subscription fee for a calculator. And I can’t justify buying the actual calculator because I wouldn’t carry it on me like my phone. One star review goes to five stars just by removing monthly subscription and changing it to a one time fee.

Doesn’t always open. Great calculator but since one of the updates, it doesn’t always open when not in service areas or connected to WiFi.

No Advertising!!. If I am going to pay $25 for an app I certainly don’t want to be advertised too. The calculator is great. I prefer it to the hardware based version because the manual is built in, my rating is based solely on their recent decision to advertise to a paying customer.

Subscription Fees. Our company loves Construction Master however renting a calculator is the worst investment a contractor can make. You are better off buying one of their physical calculators. Will happily change the review to 5 stars once they change their subscription to one time purchase.

Construction Master Pro app. Coolest thing ever. No more hundred dollar calculators buy the app once and I can use it on any phone that I get.

Recently very disappointed. I used to absolutely love this app... But recently it now needs cell service to initiate.. I work in very rural areas without cell service often... And now the app won't work in those areas. I paid quite a bit for something that now does not work all the time.

Disappointed. I was highly recommended this app and was told that the price was a one time payment of $25. Come to find out that they've raised the price to $40 and not for a one time fee but an annual fee. Ridiculous.

Best for construction. This is the best calculator for construction. I recommend it to everyone. It’s a must for layout and take offs.

Pay every month - no thanks. Paid a decent price up front and used for years, was a one time expensive purchase but worked great. Then they switched to a subscription model. I will look elsewhere.

I used to pay big money for a cement calculator.. I now use this every day in construction work.
