Airplane Handbook. Excellent summary with great graphics; I recommend this for all pilots!

4 stars. Though, you can download the exact same thing off the FAA web site, it is very nice just to be able and pull up this app. I have used the search function many times when teaching students, and trying to find something fast. The app is very useful, and I have never had a problem with it. In order for this to get 5 stars I would like to be able to highlight.

Great app. Very user friendly and packed with great features! Just wish there were "page numbers" so students could reference what I'm looking at in their books.

Simple helper. It is useful to read at cafe or anywhere if you do not have heavy PPL text book.

Awesome ebook. This is really good. Even If you're really experienced I would imagine this still helps. I am a student pilot training for my PPL with 32 hours and this just gives a nice review of everything I've learned so far and gives me some new ideas of things i want to try in my next lesson .

No reason not to have it!. Although I'm a relatively low-time pilot, I have been flying for over 50 years and a CFI for over 30. Each time I read from Airplane Flying Handbook, I either learn something new, reinforce what I already know and teach, or gain new insight into some aspect of flying. I suspect the same would be the case for you. If you are a pilot and have an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, there is NO reason not to have this app! You can have "the book" with you at all times with no inconvenience---because it is tucked away in your iPod/Phone/Pad! You'll be amazed at how often you can read five or ten minutes while waiting for the barber, your spouse, or the kids.

Great app, but not optimized for 6s Plus. Much easier than the pdf, and easy to navigate. 4 stars instead of 5 because it isn't optimized for 6s Plus.

Just the FAA handbook (which is freenonline). This is nothing but the FAA handbook, but into a paid app. I assumed that there was at least something added, but no. Dont waste your $3' go download the PDF for free from the FAA site.

Way Better than a PDF. I don't know what the one reviewer is talking about. I love this thing and as a student going for a check ride and wanting to be a great pilot, I use it all the time. Great way to view the AFH, IMO...

Outdated. As others have mentioned, this app uses an outdated version of the Flying Handbook. Also, the app hasn’t been formatted to the iPhone X screen size. Hoping these fixes should be published as an update by the developer.

Horrible Revisions. What they have done with these FAA books is truly a step backward. They no longer resemble the original FAA publication, and are more difficult to navigate and read. One of us who purchased the original version should receive a refund because this is not the same app.

Yes but... Yes you can download this book and others for free but I love the fact you can search, bookmark or pull up the table of contents up from any page and go anywhere. It's great features for only $3

Excellent in describing the fundamentals. An updated version that comports with the current ACS would be welcome but in general I think this ought to be read end to end by any student pilot.

Outdated book being sold.. I just bought this and downloaded it only to find that it is an outdated version.

Too hard to navigate!. The layout of the shell software is too tricky. Buttons are not intuitive. You would do just as well to DL the pdf from the FAA website and use ibooks to read it

App crashes with IOS 5.1.1. The app is excellent in allowing me to read the flying handbook and giving me other great features such as bookmarking pages, useful calculations and even a search feature. But recently, has been crashing on the new IOS 5.1.1. Please fix.
